Boy the original doom is annoying the hell out of me.

"Oooh, a secret" The door opened, unveiling a goat, 2 firebaloons, and 8 unitblockers. He died promptly.

"Finally, the end of the level, I'll save on the other side." He did, in fact not have a chance to save on the other side.

"Oh those THIQUE guys again. Man I wish I had a chainsaw right now." Cornering him, they tore off his limbs and consumed his flesh leaving him in just enough agony not to pass out.

"Better hope behind that corner is a medkit that I really need." (reference intended) Unbeknownst to him, a processed soldier was waiting behind that corner. The pellets of his shotgun undodgably raycasted killing him instantly. The medkit, lies uncollected behind the possessed.

"So... I'm on 8% health... and the only medkit in this level is on the other side of a toxic pool" I honestly do not know what you want me to narrate here. He just loaded the last save... I guess.

"New episode, can't wait to do the doom thing and blast people." He said before running out of ammo 8 times and dying uncounted deaths due to his inability to find a shotgun. (Ok, the later episodes tend to just hand you the shoty, but that fucked me up man.)

"Oh, cool. In that small, cramped room lies a rocketlauncher." The game automatically swapped to the new weapon and took his holding of the left mousebutton as a signal to fire. May he rest in pieces.

"Daaamn, the original must've been such a rad high octane game!" Unbeknownst to him, the original doom was what could only be called a horror game. Which he thoroughly enjoyed, as he wondered how ID managed to pull the experience of 3 entirely unrelated genres out of the mechanics of the FPS. He soon knew exactly what he had to do to find out.
