How I feel about this character: I really like him, but uh…in canon, he’s just fine. He’s much cooler in fanfics, canon dropped the ball on him. He should’ve been more Comics Future Flash, less Comics Savitar/Zoom 2.0

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Reverb 💞

(Also Iris and Cisco, but like...not in an actual relationship lol more in a toxic one-sided kind of way. The dynamic intrigues me)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Barry (you might've noticed I don’t tend to ship doppelgängers 😅 but I do love their platonic dynamics, I feel like that says a lot about them!)

Killer Frost would be here if Savitar ever treated her as an equal 💀 unfortunately, he didn’t (it baffles me how some fics act like he canonically did?? She was very much his underling, that’s no secret)

My unpopular opinion about this character: he was terrible in s3 apart from the episodes where he was unmasked. Everything else was a waste of time

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Get rid of the scar, have him impersonate Barry throughout s3. Sporadically, and without alerting Barry, but in such a way that he slowly erodes Barry’s relationships and makes him think he’s crazy. You can even still have the Flashpoint meta nonsense going on in the background...but here, it’s a distraction, and it’s working. And then, either to us or to Barry, reveal Savitar unmasked by like...episode 10 or 15 or something. Maybe just to us in episode 10, and to Barry in like...episode 17 or 20

Then cut out the amnesia plot or make Savitar central to that episode. And just like that, he’s more of a threatening presence without trying to make him a Zoom knock-off.

I have another potential fix-it involving him, Iris, and Barry, but...I’m plotting that currently, so I’ll keep my lips sealed about it for now 😉

How I feel about this character: He’s awesome! An awesome foil to Cisco 💞 and super underrated

My unpopular opinion about this character: I wish we’d seen more of him tbh 😭 maybe in Cisco's nightmares in s3?

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: To expand on the above: we know from s2 that Cisco struggled with one day becoming Reverb and worked through it. Which is great, but...when Caitlin started fr turning into Killer Frost, it would’ve been neat if Cisco once again struggled with turning into Reverb and had nightmares about it. And maybe he could’ve fr turned (perhaps with some prodding by Savitar, who loves Cisco deep down and wants him by his side), and we could've gotten an E1 Saverb (or Savifrostverb, if Savitar felt like treating KF as an equal) team-up 👀

Alternatively, as in this fic (thank you @kitkatt0430/@starstruckpurpledragon, you’re a gem in this fandom), Savitar could’ve pulled Reverb out of his timeline and teamed up with him that way. I just really wish I could've seen a Saverb team-up, it would’ve been SO COOL 😭

OKAYYY I loooooovEEE this response!!! 🥳 I can see both sides, the majority of readers feeling betrayed (valid!!) bUT I also very very very much see the side of not blaming Tae for trying to lick his wounds and not being a mind reader. I mean, he might be a hybrid, but like you said, he's unaware of Y/N's feelings.

Exactly how I'd try to bounce back (and have tried before!) is focusing on other relationships and attempting to accept/move on. Y/N cannot blame Taehyung for doing that, since she hasn't confessed to him, nor does she know how HE feels. UGH the MESS

Oh yeah they can hear when Y/N is intimate with Yoonjin, and smell it too, probably 💀 I will say, all of the intimate scenes I've written so far, most of the others were either not in the house (on errands), outside in the backyard, or the scene happened in the soundproof music room. This obviously won't be a common thread forever; there was a point in a chapter where Y/N mentioned to Alice that "the others aren't stupid" regarding her being intimate with the ones she's actively dating. I assume that in the future, they'll stick some headphones in, go for a walk, etc.

I can’t tell you the number of books I purchased because of your posts (Solnit’s Orwell’s Roses ending up being one of my all time favourites and latest Popova’s Figuring being one of best reads of the year…)

And at the same time I’d love to ask you about your approach to skin care routine. What were the best lessons you’ve learned about looking after your skin so far? Did you find a perfect lip balm?

This has been in my inbox since October - my apologies, life has been life-ing, but I'm getting this house in order before the new year.

Would I be able to pick 10? Probably not, too little. I'd categorise them by Non-Fiction (sciences exc. social sciences), Non-Fiction (all other), and Fiction as I did here. And I might add a special category for neuro. related books. I answered that ask in November 2021, since then I would probably add: The Act of Living by Frank Tallis, Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman, Orwell's Roses by Rebecca Solnit, Metaphysical Animals by Clare Mac Cumhaill & Rachel Wiseman, and A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers.

I'm so glad you loved Orwell's Roses, it's become one of my all time favourites too. I think it flew under the radar a little, I don't see it talked about often.

The best lessons I've learned about looking after my skin so far: more/stronger is not always better, evidence-based is always better, and without a good SPF everything else is pointless.

The hunt for the perfect lip balm post-discontinuation of Dior's Creme de Rose is ongoing. I tried the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm first, and my controversial and unpopular opinion is I hated it. I normally love the smell of vanilla but it was far too full-on and artificial, and way too sticky even as an overnight balm. I've now got several others on the go: the La Bouche Rogue White Balm which I like as a day lip balm, but it's not wowed me so I won't be repurchasing, along with their night serum and lip scrub - I will be repurchasing the scrub, I will not be repurchasing the serum, the balm alone is better; the Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask which does the job, but I won't be repurchasing, it holds in whatever moisture is below but it's not moisturising in itself; the Serge Lutens Lip Comfort which I think will become by day to day lip balm, it's very small/easy to transport, and is exactly the right amount of balm under lipstick; and I went insane before Christmas and tried the La Mer Lip Balm, unfortunately for my bank balance it might actually be the best lip balm of all time. I had severely winter chapped lips and it was a one application and fixed situation. I usually hate anything minty but I will overlook it, it's that good.

The one unpopular shourtney opinion that I agree with is that they will never hard launch their relationship. At least not while they are working together at Smosh, just too much of a headache and pressure to put on both of them when they don't need to. Someone theorized a while back that Courtney showed more than normal last year with their vlogs (which they stopped when Anthony returned) and social media posts because they didn't think Smosh's future was as bright as we may of thought before the ownership change. Now that Smosh seems to be more stable they have gone back to keeping their situation under wraps.

yep, i've seen that theory floating around as well, it truly makes a lot of sense they'd want to keep things more private knowing smosh still has a long way to go (and woo fucking hoo for that folks 🥳 !!)

i agree with you, tbh, working together makes things so much more complex, especially when you have a laaarge online ship-base. i've seen way too many of my fav creators be open about their relationship only to watch their comment section turn into 'oooh where's x in this video??' and 'did u break up' or 'what would y think of this', as if being in a relationships defines your whole essence from now on. i'd hate for something similar to happen to shourtney, i'm honestly proud of them for maintaining the boundaries they have for so many years <3

yeaa, perhaps there won't be a hard launch ever, but i think there might be a soft one at some point- we'll just have to wait and see won't we :)
