Deku, Uraruka and Todoroki can't win either way really and it's just so sad to see. It both comes down to both sides criticising the kids for the same thing that's that they care too much. Those who wanted Deku to have more conflicts hate that he didn't because he cared too much. Those who want Uraruka and Shouto to only care about how Toga and Touya were hurt only criticises them because they care about people and the hurt the lov is causing to them as well too much. The thing is Deku, Urakura and Todoroki both care about the people which the lov are hurting due to their actions and their individual villain and they are all trying to balance these feelings out and are likely just so confused on what they should do. They are 16 years old they aren't always going to know what the right decision is especially in times like this where they can't ignore that the lov needs help but at the same time they can't just ignore the pain the lov are causing. These kids care and it's so sad how heavily criticised they are getting because of it.

They really can’t win.

And literally I know this because you can say everyone would have been satisfied with Shouto and Ocha just outright saying “idc what they did, I’m gonna save them”, but reactions from last year when Deku did just that tell me otherwise. When chapter 305 dropped people complained. And when chapter 342 dropped people complained.

For me, I think everyone’s reactions make sense for their characters. They’re all learning. Shouto is battling his own inner demons while also wanting to rid Touya of his. Shouto wants his family whole and right now as things are (from the POV of Shouto) it doesn’t look possible. Touya is in handcuffs. Nothing has changed for the better yet. Shouto looked broken after his fight. Ochacko is trying to reconcile Toga’s actions with the fact that she now feels sympathy for her. Trying to decipher Toga’s words that went over her head, figuring out why Toga cried that day, figuring out what Toga is looking for out of life. Because she doesn’t know. Right now, she knows almost nothing. Obviously I think that’s gonna change pretty soon. Hell even Deku himself still has a lot to learn about Shigaraki, he’s still in the dark on a lot. He only pieces together words from their previous interactions to try to figure out what Shig wants.

I just wish it wasn’t a constant negative wave of reactions every week. I only got into the series in late 2020 but in the short time the energy of the fandom took a huge shift toward being bitter and mad all the time. I miss my earlier experience here lol

Kaminaris dorm in next to Iidas in cannon, and i’ve heard a headcannon that Iida would lend hand in supervising the dorms, but in my version of that, i’d like to think he’d check up on everyone at cerfew. Now let’s say hypothetically, being with Kaminari helps Shinsou fall asleep. And Iida is aware that Shinsou has sleep issues to begin with.

So just imgaine, Iida checking in on Kaminaris dorm, at first going to tell Shinsou to get back to his dorm but stopping himself, smiling, and covering for them because of how much he cares about his classmates and wants them to enjoy eachothers company

Or, another couple, Urakura and Tsuyu falling asleep after studying in Tsu’s dorm and Iida gently putting them both in bed then covering for them by saying they where both in their respected rooms (when the wernt)

moral of this post is: Iida would have a soft spot for the couples in his grade sleeping in the same room and would cover for them.

Thinkin' about Urara and Kurara's relationship after reading Urara's MSS...

Urara is a prodigy with the diabolo, and Kurara feels like she's living in her shadow, constantly having to bust her chops to keep pace. She's incredibly self-conscious about the way people keep comparing the two of them, and feels like she'll always be "Not-Urara". But when Urara shows up to teach a diabolo class alone, some of the kids are kinda sad because they were hoping Kurara would be there.

On Urara's end, she has a difficult time trying to explain how she does her tricks, and worries that she's not doing a very good job as a teacher. She can't help but think to herself that Kurara was always better at teaching than she is, which makes her miss Kurara more.

Urara has always been proud of Kurara's tenacity and incredible work ethic; Kurara admires Urara's ability to quickly master new tricks (and Urara's constant, cheerful smile) so much that it rips her apart inside.

How they compare themselves to each other, always feeling like the other is the better of the two, oblivious to the fact that they feel the same way... Knowing that ultimately, none of this matters in the eyes of all the kids who think they're both amazing... They rounded each other out so perfectly and they didn't even realize it. :(
