Ky is entirely unbothered by this little arrangement you've made, letting you do as you please around him and indulging you in some of your little gestures of affection, all in exchange for keeping him fed straight from the source. You can sense Ky is not fully invested in this relationship-- may not even see it in the same light that you do. How dare he act so casually toward you. Ky has figured out he can use your own adoration and idolisation of him against you because you will keep falling for the things he says for now. He knows he can offer even shallow acts only vaguely reminiscent of lovers, and you'd do it in a heartbeat. You're somehow so stubborn yet so easy to control, and he takes advantage of that to the full extent, watching you run around like a headless chicken trying to please him. It's entertaining to know you still somehow think this is moving you up some kind of ladder closer to him accepting your love without a deal.

Urd has developed a growing tolerance for you ever since you first appeared and kept appearing in the places he was going you could access. You seemed too nervous to talk every time he approached, so he had to wait until you began your advances, and once they started, they didn't stop. He hated to admit that a part of him was strangely enamoured by the idea that maybe if he let your infatuation fester enough, you'd be the one person who would never leave, but he also knows you're extremely abusive at times.

You can't hurt him, nor could you dream of it, but it was saying too much that hurt him. You smothered him, babied him for a time and swore you'd hurt anyone who just so much as brushed against him too harshly for your tastes. It is uncontrollable, and Urd never knows if you'll go through with it. Urd tries to calm you down, but you've managed to convince yourself he's too nice, and this is how you'll 'protect' him from the world. You suffocate Urd so much that he doesn't know if you still think of him as an adult or as a child.

Urd requires your utmost attention, and there are many times he's considered ending your life so that you can't be a bother to the peace he's created, but he keeps getting drawn back. Urd knows if he leaves you to your devices and allows you to fuss over him, you'll be at ease, even if you seem to want to control him. If Urd lets you fuss, you stay put, and if you stay put, you won't leave to go anywhere. For a while, you'll remain with him, and he can subject himself to the headache for the reward.

This relationship you have with him always seems to go unnoticed. He ignores you all the time, he's never around, and he never pays even a hint of attention to you. You're glad to find yourself locked up because, for the first time in a while, he looks back at you with all of his attention. It's just like how you imagined it to be intense and with a strange interest that perhaps doesn't belong.

You're so glad he's finally started paying attention to you. This is much better than when you borrow his things and imagine him, the way he'd scold you for it, the disappointment you would think was visible on his face.

He finds your infatuation with him to be of enough interest as it is, but you also pose a very good catalyst for all of his other questions about humans as well. At his fingertips is someone who would do anything that he asks in order to please him. You had better be good and do whatever he wants, and you might be rewarded for it, and though he's quite selfish to do this only for him, he is very good at pleasing you for your troubles. He won't make any exception for you, not when he's prizing you above the rest, which he reminds you is not to be treated lightly. It isn't fair for only you to get happiness, is it?

If keeping you on a chain makes you behave, even if you begin to grow bored of your obsession with him (which he doubts you will), he's become far too interested in what made you this way. He wants to know how far he can push, how long it will take you to fall out of this 'love', how much he can taunt you and use you for his own sick amusement. Not for the same reasons as you, but your reasons certainly make it easier.

Urd Geales is the second progenitor, the ruler of Russia and, as if all of that wouldn't be enough, he also is the head of the Progenitor Council. Really, there is very little you can do once he decides that you shall be his but how do you even catch the attention of a vampire like him? Well, Urd actually cares for the health of humans under his rule, even watches them for entertainment purposes with a special fondness for ballet. So chances are likely that his s/o might just be someone who regularly performs in theatres but let's not settle on anything. It's a slow fall into the abyss for Urd, considering how nonchalant and calm he is. He's a silent observer more than anything else throughout the stages of obsession as he grows rather fond of this particular human and if you really are someone who regularly performs, expect him to visit your performances as often as he can. Watching you on stage is a little stress relief for him as he can take his mind off anything and solely focus on you, perhaps a bit too much.

💌The signs of obsession are very subtle so that even vampires who work closely with him will never suspect anything. Urd doesn't want them too as he has a reputation to uphold and wouldn't allow himself to transform into some lovesick fool chasing blindly after his obsession. That is under him yet he knows best about his state of feelings and his currently developing obsession. It's better to do something against it soon before it might escalate and get even out of his hand. Fairly enough though, Urd doesn't harbor any ill will against you for making him feel such obsessive emotions. You're only a human after all and remain until this day just like everyone else oblivious to his growing feelings. Urd is fairly possessive because he surely won't let you belong to anyone else claim you unless it is him but he takes it slower and instead of immediate imprisonment or abduction, he almost courts you. His position makes it easy to arrange meetings with you which you have to accept due to him being the King of Russia, little dates where he simply chats with you to get to know you better and gift you flowers and rather expensive gifts.

💌 Jealousy is a big stretch as the progenitor is not someone prone to such pitiful emotions. He's almost perfectly in control of everything and exhibits a cool and nonchalant behavior. Let's be real, once he makes it official that you're his darling no one would really dare to make a move on you anyways and you shouldn't either unless you want to be reprimanded by Urd himself for your unfitting attitude. He's very serious about the subject of loyalty and expects you and everyone around you to understand that you being his official s/o implies that neither you nor anyone else should dare to go against it. That is not to say that he forbids any interaction with someone else, if you behave and follow his set of rules you have surprisingly much freedom. Now, if you would fancy someone else more than him though, he finds himself slightly bothered but unwilling to show that as he doesn't want to lose composure with his position. His jealousy is a silent yet very cold, especially if you break any of his rules for that person in which case he will put his foot very firmly down and separate you from them until both them and you have learned your lessons.

💌 He's shown to be someone firmly set on upholding the laws of the vampires and isn't afraid to reprimand someone if they have done something wrong, you experience that quite often too if you break his rules. Urd can be merciful and fair though but the rules are perhaps a bit different when it involves his s/o. Once officially his, everyone shows you more respect, even the vampires since the King of Russia demands them to be on their best behavior around you. For once he doesn't tolerate anyone discriminating you for being only a human and then he also expects everyone, including your guards, to show their best sides as strong and composed vampires. This is also about the superiority of their race and he can't let them act around you like a bunch of sadistic barbarians with no manners unless they wish to be punished. He does prefer non-lethal punishments but if a serious matter arises, Urd won't hesitate to blame someone as guilty and give them a death sentence. If anyone targets you in order to get to him, he won't hesitate to sentence them a heavy punishment, even death.

💌 A man not very thrilled for any unnecessary fuss, Urd does take it slow but only because he has the self-control and the luxury to do so. He's taking his time to get to know you and gives you the chance to get to know him too, treats you politely and with respect. Even before any abduction he tasks some other nobles, those he trusts, to give you special protection. He has duties and responsibilities as the ruler of a country, he can't watch you all of the time. It isn't anything overbearing but just enough to ensure your safety whilst still giving you privacy. Honestly, at one point you have a suspicion that he has feelings for you which is as shocking as it is startling and Urd comes clean with his feelings to you after a while too as he confesses. He's very direct in his clarifications that he'd like you to stay with him and even if it might sound like an offer on paper, his tone makes it obvious that you don't have much of a choice. If you behave yourself and follow the rules he made for you, you are allowed to roam fairly free though and get access to a lot of places and objects. Your lover cares after all and would like to treat you well but only if you allow him to do so by knowing your place.

💌 Urd Geales in public isn't very affectionate in order to uphold his reputation. It isn't often that he takes you with him though as he likes to separate public and personal matters. If you have to accompany him though, there are always guards following closely behind you and you are to remain in his field of vision. Headcanons for Urd with a mature/independent S/O

Firstly, Urd would probably prefer a S/O who’s more on the mature side and fiercely independent. Two qualities he values highly not just in a partner, but anyone he has to interact with in general.

Despite taking time off here and there to watch operas, he’s still the de facto ruler of all vampire kind, and technically the entire world in its current state. He also has all of Russia to govern, and even for someone who doesn’t need to sleep that’s a huge undertaking. He takes his own responsibilities and duties very seriously, so not having to coddle someone is a huge plus for him.

Regardless of whether his partner is human or vampire, he’s been around for a very long time, and there’s very little, hardly anything left in the world that can shake him.

Urd, being so high up on the food chain, isn’t easily cowed. At all. He’d let you lecture him on small things that are fairly inconsequential, partly for the novelty of it and because it entertains him from time to time to see you worked up. Partly because maybe he does kind of have a thing for being dominated.

However there are certain boundaries which you must not overstep. At least early on in the relationship. If you show a degree of level-headedness, he might appreciate your input on certain topics. Again, the fact that you’re quite independent and very mature helps a lot here.

I can’t say that Urd would ever feel frightened. By anyone or anything. He’s lived way too long and he’s far too powerful. For him to be afraid of someone or something, it’d have to be so earth-shattering that it would turn the very nature of his world on its head. I emphasize his because looking at the state of the world in OnS currently, he’s hardly fazed. So not just the world in general.

Unless you have some amazing power that can, idk, vaporize vampires (even a Second Progenitor) on the spot, chances of him being intimidated by you, regardless of whether you’re human or a vampire are very low.

He’s not against putting you in your place if he feels you overstep your boundaries. As patient and as tolerant compared to other vampires as he might be, he’ll still only tolerate so much.

But again, he’s not completely closed off to your suggestions or the occasional lecture. Whether he takes it to heart, depends though. If he’s in a decent mood and willing to humor you and let you take the wheel, he’s open to it and will follow your lead here and there.

Urd does somewhat enjoy these moments. As someone who everyone typically looks to for solving problems, help, advice, orders, its a refreshing breath of fresh air for someone to sit in the driver’s seat for once and take charge.

The burden of so many huge responsibilities weigh heavy on him from time to time, even if he never shows it to anyone, perhaps even to you. At least not explicitly. You can tell when he starts to grow weary and mentally tired from attending to all his duties, and watching opera as a means to relax just isn’t cutting it.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to step in and take charge, like lecturing him about his uniform being crooked or something else that’s small and easily remedied.

He might smirk and ask you to straighten it for him if it bothers you so much, enjoying your take-charge-attitude and dominance.

The fact that you aren’t meek and challenge him makes the relationship more exciting. While Urd might not appreciate unwelcome critiques about his leadership (and honestly how can you, when his territory is the most peaceful we’ve seen in OnS?) but if you criticize his taste in opera? Oh boy. Be prepared.

Urd would definitely enjoy it if you challenged him intellectually, as it provides a stimulus that’s rare but a welcome shift from the mundane boredom that all vampires experience.

the jida are still in fact called hoshido lmao - they aren't as sunny as the hoshidans because of mahiru... who is currently gonna be anankos for now thanks - Shinya knows where, what, and how to get to valla via guren, because they are a happy couple - please let them be happy - psyche THAT IS NOT GONNA HAPPEN - ANYWAY... as shinya finds mika/shinoa/omg wth, he is noT- I SAY, NOT- KILLED but is saved by guren, who is present at the moment - and this is where the feels train starts - sayuri is ryouma, narumi is hinoka, kimizuki is taKUMI YEAHHH, yoichi is sakura because heck yeah – ps there will be yuuyoi/yoiyuu interaction - the retainers (they have so many more than nohr lmao) are: norito goshi (yoichi), mito jujo (sayuri), aoi sangu (guren+shinya's advisor), shigure yukimi (sayuri), aiko aihara (kimizuki), shusaku iwasaki (narumi), and mitsuba sangu (who was technically hired to be shinoa/mika's retainer as a child, but since corrin in game was taken away, she became a strategist and the back-and-forth retainer of kimizuki and yoichi, the bros who usually work in a team (when mika/shinoa come back, she's overjoyed and doesn't mind the nohrian attack on guren) (:0000 jk it's cause she obv remembers mika/shinoa and wants to be his/her retainer ) - the retainers know about guren's 'ability' and were appointed to their retainer to reveal the ability to the noble children (sometime in the very very very very very far future) - kimizuki, like takumi in conquest, does indeed do become possessed by a vallan 9APPARENTLY ITS 'VALLITE') (ie a demon) but only for a short while when he is fighting against mika/shinoa with yoichi in like chapter 28 or something lol - hoWEVER HE DOESN'T DIE LIKE TAKUMI DID OKAY he just like gets calmed by yoichi because unlike takumi, who was fighting solo, kimizuki is with yoichi/sakura so is calmed and coaxed out of pairing with the vallite demon and jUMPING OFF A FREAKING CLIFF Demons/People able to harbor Demons as Valla - okay, this is probably the most complicated out of all of them - Guren, Yuu, AND Shinya are from Valla (as well as the actual demons like kiseki-o and asuramaru and mahiru... sort of) - Kiseki-o and Asura are buddies in Valla (Asura is like.... the hoshidan lilith because of yuu and kiseki-o is the nohrian one; yes i know lilith is not a vallite shut up) – kiseki-o is an evil son of a biatch and is the one who possesses kimizuki/takumi under ferid's request – despite this asura is still chill with him bc they're of the same kind so - Guren is the queen... king of valla and yuu is the princess lmaooooo - contrary to the game, i'm being a rebel and having azura and corrin not be cousins (ie hence why shinya and guren are a couple and not siblings because i don't support incest) - also, i'm also thinkig that guren had yuu before he remarried to ferid, and ferid trying to try his best to impress the son and ultimately failing, only to be happy because oh yuu felt bad and tried his hardest to like ferid - eventually he hated him because he thought that ferid had killed guren after his disappearance, and marched on out to the hoshidan/nohr borders at the bottomless canyon to jump back to valla only to be captured by the hoshians he despised (then found out they weren't so bad) and found his mom again - he still hated ferid – suCK IT FERID - okay, so since vallites are the demons in ons, they can regenerate - slowly but surely (takes like a couple of years, unless ur a nobLE) - after the process of regenerating, their timeline is reset so that they look young, but they age and die just like a regular person would (only they would just look young while dying so) – if that's too hard to grasp, here's an easier summary of it: when a vallite dies at a certain age, they will be able to regenerate if his/her body is preserved well enough. once they regenerate, they will look the same as when they died but will also resume the appropriate amount of years that passed when they were dead – so basically they look young but are actually old - and, again, unlike the game, i am having shinya be vallite, only he is a mixed blood vallite (ie half human half vallite) so his regeneration periods trigger less often than a full vallite would - so he looks older than guren but they're the same age lol (which is probably like 30-40 or something, not around 20 like in ons) - guren's regeneration period takes less time since he is a noble of valla, so it would only take him like 2/4 to 3/4 of a year to regenerate - shinya and guren decided not to tell the royal hoshidan children that they were vallite because that would just blur the lines between what is hoshidan and what is vallite - mahiru ties into this because i will have anankos, yes the evil eye dragon thing, be vallite - my history between mahiru and guren confusing bc wow, shinya is also a dragon but can't activaye his powers because mahiru's the one that got the whole dragon blood blah blah, it took her over and she ended up lethally wounding guren, destroying valla (pretty much), and ultimately ruining her relationship with yuu - the hiiragis and the itchynoses had a long history of continuously switching between love and hate, and in guren's gen, he was mahiru's fiancee and had yuu with her, so yeah yuu's also part dragon like azura is in game – good job memu aka me, myself and i for staying somewhat close to the actual fe: fates storyline - anywhoo, as you know, the bottomless canyon (the first actual battle in fe: fates) is a gateway from valla to the real world so ofc guren went that way when he escaped valla (because the way from like bodies of water was blocked off since mahiru literally destroyed everything) so he had to take that way - he tried to take shinya with him, but shinya insisted it would be important for the noble queen (lol) to go escape to safety first, so, after much persuading, guren went without shinya - then he was captured by nohrians after literally not knowing where he was (since he didn't know about the bottomless canyon and just escaped using instinct) and was taken to ferid, who freaking experienced love at first sight – ferid u bich u don't deserve true love - guren didn't feel the same way but thought he was a nice guy so he married the dude – what a freaking nice guy amirite - going back to shinya, there was one lake in the middle of valla (there really isn't one ingame so) and he escaped using that, since it was a portal that all travelers going to valla went through without passing in through the gates (sincethere was a border gate with guards there) and it led to a lake that was around the perimeter of hoshido, which had tenri hiiragi and kureto hiiragi as king and prince in line (this is the time when ferid is like a teen and hoshido and nohr don't hate each other yet) and shinya was put in place as next prince (since hoshidan was first started by vallites ie the hiiragi line, who was more idealistic and hated the fact that valla was a 'dreamlike' place that you could never talk about (since the rainbow sage (aka a really powerful sorcerer who was literally on no side but did what he thought was right) placed a curse on valla) and preferred the real world to valla – short version of what the hell i just said: the true hoshidans were vallites that hated valla and wanted a more realistic place to live that you could actually talk about without dying - shinya missed guren as kureto died early after tenri's rule and he was placed the king and was appalled to see the guy he missed with disgusting lovesickness in the middle show up after a couple years (ie like two decades yeesh) and at this time, ( i lied guren didn't disappear he was done without consent then was 'killed' by nohrian soldiers (and then regenerated since they didn't really kil him but just made him unconcious) and decided to leave nohr - he thought yuu was happy in nohr (he was - he didn't even mind the cold, dark space until he went to hoshido) so guren left him there - shinya then made preparations for guren after he arrived and after like two years they married (and not just to carry on the hiiragi-ichinose name that was planned) and they adopted children (since vallites can only have one child) - vallite men and women can reproduce - it's kinda like omegaverse, a/b/o, but without the ranks - really only the royals, nobles, and a select few people of the male gender can reproduce  - it goes like that for women that can give the men the reproduction system too okay, so now that i've come up with the basic stuff i can get on to the more relationship-building unnecessary things lol support conversations of course, just like what is customary of the fire emblem series, support conversations would probably be present in this crossover the support conversations would have the standard format: C, B, A, S or A+ *A+ os for very good friends - I forced myself to finish this at two a.m. 😭 this is not the time and I have stuff to do tomorrow but nahh this is what I was doing instead of sleeping

a hard day's work is hardly rewarding in the material sense, certain not with what his work entails at least, the life of a man enslaved by his own utopia and who spends a dismal amount of time at a desk rather than doing half the things Kings of his days used to get away with-- suffice it to say being King isn't what it used to be.

the one plus side is not actually being a King by birthright in his day means his marriage is someone he chose, and someone he loves rather dearly, someone he can't see when he is tied down by his responsibilities, sitting through reports and papers for what can be hours on end with only a brief glimpse as he hears you walk past his office and looks up to see what little of you is visible in the barely cracked door.

that little glimpse is enough to motivate him, because he knows as soon as he finishes even just enough of this work he can get a lot more than just a glimpse.

in a way, he enjoys the innocent little fantasising he does when you peek your head in to check on him, of the many affections and gestures of love he will shower you in, all the cuddles and kisses and the little things he knows you enjoy when you lay together as well as his own possibly self-indulgent desires when it comes to intimacy. It's nothing too explicit, just little things he likes, but it's there, and as he finishes up the last of his work he feels the wave of overwhelming relief wash over him, like he's finally able to relax.

a look up at the clock says that by now you would've gone to bed, though you may not be asleep quite yet, readying yourself for bed and perhaps waiting up for him a while. He is greater by the pleasant sight of you curled up with the blankets, the cat curled up by your side and keeping you company in his stead, just as he intended it to.

he thought at a glance you were sleeping, but hearing him enter has your eyes opening to see who’s there, comforted by the sight of someone you recognise all too well and you begin to pet the cat who unfurls to stretch right out and extends its claws momentarily. He finds it adorable to heard you say something to it like a little child, about how that was such a big stretch, all the while he’s discarding some of his clothes to be a little more dressed down and able to feel comfortable enough to relax beside you who is already in comfy cotton pyjamas and ready for bed.

your little ramblings to the cat about how its Dad is here is endearing, even if he may have resisted the notion of you referring to him as a cat’s Dad at first, but he grew accustomed to it eventually. Though he hates to interrupt you, there’s a part of him that feels like he doesn’t want to wait on a cat, admittedly the louder half and what possesses him to kiss your cheek for your attention mid-sentence and mid-tummy rub leaving the cat to roll back onto its side to wonder why you had stopped.

"Come sit down." when you pat a spot for him beside you on the bed he barely hesitates, having been eagerly awaiting this for some time now, and you don't need to ask twice for him to come to your side and sit in the place of the cat who gets up and brushes your leg the second it sees him.

you let yourself relax again, this time leaning your head on his shoulder, and it's strangely comfortable even when you can clearly feel a bone in your head. It would be nice if he could get rid of those but unfortunately even to those with inhuman limitations, some lines simply mustn't be crossed. You believe your comfort comes from the distinct smell of his clothes and the slightest of chills to him, like it's winter and he has cold hands—it's very familiar to your mind.

he lays you down, prompting you to lay on your pillow instead of using him like one, and he took that as his opportunity to kiss you again, gentle at first trying not to startle you but once you came around and realised he wanted your attention far more than the needy little cat who had wandered off to paw at a blanket somewhere. His hand reached over you, resting next to you to just barely keep him from any awkward leaning, meanwhile he left your hands to touch him as you pleased.

the both of you are always somewhat experimental at first, with shy little touches turning to deliberate and slower movements that don't hesitate as much, as process of easing yourselves in until you're comfortable and all the while he's still quite intent on not letting you leave you kiss, letting you squeeze the hand you come to find yourself holding as a way to tell him you need a short break to recollect yourself for just a moment, then you'll be all his for the rest of the night.

he was sure that you were dead, you had been dead for a long time, having slipped away from him in your last mortal life.

and yet you were there, by the General's side as he barked his orders at you to fight, the spitting image of his love, turned against him, but why? Was it just the world you now lived in? Back then, you were able to live peacefully, you didn't have to watch your back every step or worry a monster might chase you back to the safety of the city walls.

it was just chance, and you were caught between the dismal life of livestock down in Sanguinem, and the life of a soldier in the Demon Army. That didn't mean it stung any less.

in a way, Urd was glad to see you strong, an unwavering determination, and apparently more courage than you knew what to do with. You held your sword firm, your hands trembling from the force you applied and the push back you got, even knowing you weren't a match for a Second Progenitor you didn't run. You stood firm to carry out your order, even knowing he could pummel you if he was actually trying. Urd held back, you could tell that much.

he couldn't stand there forever, and neither could you, but it was clear you weren't going to let up, and he couldn't afford to either. Even knowing the person who stood there was surely someone he once knew, in your eyes you had never known him, you'd slice him in two without hesitation if only he let you.

it pained him, and yet he had to. Gently, Urd reminded himself, and in a swift motion of his sword knocked you aside, not too harshly, but enough to leave you nearly sliding along the ground trying to regain your footing even as you stumbled over yourself onto the ground, it was gutting in it's own way, to both of you although for different reasons.

the smell of blood filled the air, he must've grazed you, or perhaps the impact had done it. If only you were who you used to be, he would've been at your side worrying over you, and yet he couldn't.

"General Kureto!" he tried to ignore you, even when he heard your sword scrape against the ground--you'd picked it back up.

if he could only knock you out, he could take you with him, right? You wouldn't have to know why, a vague excuse to back it up would be enough, and yet one problem remained, he didn't have enough arms to carry you, the General, and the Major General. Even if he could, he didn't have a reason to give everyone else why he felt it necessary.

you were a fool, trying to defend your General, who was not quite unconscious and yet not fully conscious either, teetering on the edge in a haze. Kureto couldn't defend himself like that. nor give you orders, you were on your own. Where was Aoi when you needed her?

even on your own, your loyalty lied with the Demon Army, and he couldn’t help but miss your warmth seeing you turned against him.

looking so young didn't mean he was foolish, Lest knew that it was always a possibility he would encounter someone just like the Human he used to be attached to. Perhaps you didn't like that he looked like a child, didn't want to hurt him, and to him it was pathetic, he wanted to crush you under his boot like an insect for it.

he couldn't bring himself to, not when you were just so much like them, though…in the Demon Army, you were a squad leader, had people under you, several people actually one of whom was very insistent that you should not be underestimating him.

"It's a child." you hissed at him, almost like a scolding parent, disappointed in him at least from the way it sounded.

"A child who is a Vampire!" he tried to remind you, but you apparently weren't having it. Even Lest could tell that much, approaching him rather unbothered by it, either you had courage, or were stupid. Either way he wasn't going to budge and scare you off.

you were getting very close, and he was very greedy to have you coddle him just a little. Not too much, and he would never admit it outright, but in a way he missed having his head patted, seeing you smile at him. It was nice while it lasted, when he was so young it wasn't out of place to him, his head matched his body and things were as they should be.

he was too young back then to fully understand that you wouldn't be there forever if you were just someone he met at the market sometimes. You used to dote on him back then too.

"Don't." He said, though rather suddenly, "Stay there."

he couldn't let you, not now, he felt like a child ready to stomp his feet on the floor and throw a tantrum. He very much wanted to have you pat him on the head, talk to him a bit just to entertain his talking when no one really wanted to listen much.

if he let you do that all over again, he'd remember what it was like, and he'd miss it again. He'd wish you could always be there, maybe in Germany where he could see you whenever he want and let go of himself for just a while. Maybe. Not yet. For now he needed to keep up his act, remain prideful and just maybe he'd see you again some time where there weren't several people to witness it.

"I'll let you live, just this once. I don't have time to deal with you now, but don't get in my way again."

　

krul tepes

one of Krul's only comforts after her brother's departure was unfortunately not longed for this world, it wasn't as if you were particularly fragile, not terribly Human. Met your end in the wrong place at the wrong time and suddenly her dearest friend was gone, reduced to a pile of ash by the daylight.

she hadn't seen you in so long, how could she have? You were gone, it had been somewhere around a millennium, and yet now, in 2020, she saw you once again.

you weren't exactly the same, but she knew, somehow, she knew that the one who watched as the Seraph was released and the world ended all over again for the Demon Army, was you. A little bigger than you used to be, but something else about you set her off.

she wouldn't let you be killed again, definitely not like this.

there wasn't a moment's hesitation between her noticing you standing idly by in a complete stand of shock as the people you had known for the majority of what was now your life were sacrificed and her grabbing your arm to pull you away. "Come with me. Now." It didn't even seem like you could move until she forced you. Almost dragging you along until you got your legs to move.

you had barely even processed it was a Vampire who tugged you along let alone the Queen in Japan. Not for a moment until you realised and regained your senses to barely avoid getting stabbed only by the harsh yank at your arm that had you stumbling over yourself onto the ground with a thud.

"Get up, we need to leave, now!" she tried to urge you along, pull you up herself, remind you of the urgency. What was she supposed to do when everything was happening so fast. Does she protect you? Tell you to run? Where can she go that you'll be ok?

she didn't have time to think when she caught up to Mika, she could settle there, in safety. Even if she couldn't keep you safe, she could entrust the task to Mika. She knew you could protect yourself, and yet she couldn't be satisfied with just that--you could supposedly protect yourself before too.

even as Ferid attacked, betrayed her in a way though it was clear he was never truly on her side to begin with, and her consciousness began to wane, she urged you both to go, to protect yourselves, to be safe. You were still confused even when the shock was wearing off, it was just that you couldn't understand why a Vampire would save you, one of the many Colonel's currently still alive. Surely she'd want you dead, wouldn't she? Wouldn't it benefit her to see you killed by that monster?

she didn't need to say it twice, her unexpected though not unwelcome act enough to convince you she needed you alive for something meaning you weren't going to die as a result, at least not for a while, it would give you time to think.

"Mikaela. Go with the Colonel, and find your family! Keep them safe."

he remembered the birdsong you used to listen to together, back when he first came to Japan, romancing one of his loyal little followers. You used to be special, and he treasured you too much to bring a curse of immortality on you. Did you hate him for that?

you had once begged Rígr not to leave you to grow old while he stayed the same, ever unchanging, and yet he wouldn't budge as he stood firm. Every time you even started to bring it up he'd stop you again, and yet no matter how much you changed he loved you all the same. When your mind went as you began to forget him, then your body as it began slowing to one final stop, no matter what he was there.

he couldn't tell if he regretted that, or if his wondering was just the product of the person who stood before him.

by all accounts it was you, there were no way it couldn't be, right? And yet you barely reacted to him much at all. There was no kiss, asking where he'd been and what kept him so long, where he'd get to feel your head rest against his shoulder when you laid together just one last time before you went. Humans are truly fragile creatures, aren't they?

ah, that's right, you weren't with the Hyakuya Sect anymore-- you never had been, not like this. Despite the similarities you held a stark difference, the first being that you were no longer head over heels in love with him and the second that you had changed in a way, moulded yourself to your new title--and quite an impressive one at that--you were more than just in the army, you could pull rank.

he'd never be able to win you over like that, but seeing you again was nice, nostalgic, like finding an old photograph tucked away in storage of a fond memory long passed.

he didn't speak to you at all, just acknowledged you when he passed you, and you watched him with a great sense of suspicion. Rígr could tell you didn't trust what he was doing, and yet you allowed it in favour of watching him carefully.

watching, waiting, but there was nothing.

it wasn't until your curiosity got the better of you that you reluctantly agreed to help Ferid with whatever he was doing, and suddenly you were wandering another war zone. It was different to the one you encountered before, save for the overrun of death and fighting. The Hyakuya Sect and the Demon Army, you wouldn't stop them, you likely couldn't either. What's to say they would listen?

the other thing that didn't change was the man you were looking for. Who was he? Who knows, but it would be nice if Ferid stopped calling him Papa, that was enough to know you weren't exactly what one might call keen to find him sprawled in an alley in what could only be described as dismantled, ripped at the seams and taken apart.

on the contrary he was quite glad to see you again, standing over him, even if you looked at him like trash on the floor. It was as if you wanted to stab him clean through with the weapon kept sheathed at your side, and he'd let you if only to see you satisfied.

but when all was said and done you were far from standing over him, clawing at the chains around your leg with more desperation than you knew you had in you. Getting taken hostage would be bad, becoming livestock, being out in a place like Sanguinem. You'd seen what it looked like there, even without your help it was a hellhole.

"Let go!" he wouldn't, he wouldn't let go, wouldn't let up at all even when Crowley and Ferid were long gone without you. He clearly didn't have much strength, and yet he used it all to secure one thing as you were unceremoniously dragged back from the place you'd managed to squirm to in one swift movement.

you were strong, you had to be, and yet even for you some opponents were too much. There had never been Vampires so strong in Japan, at least not ones that showed themselves to fight.

"You got away the first time, but you won't end up quite so lucky again."
