The Ultimate Guide to Buying Trucks in Australia
Tumblr media
Are you in the market for a rugged vehicle that can handle the vast landscapes and demanding terrain of Australia? Look no further than buy trucks in Australia. Down under, where the roads can be as challenging as they are breathtaking, a reliable truck isn't just a luxury; it's a necessity. In this comprehensive guide, we'll navigate through the ins and outs of purchasing a truck in Australia, ensuring you find the perfect vehicle to conquer the outback.
Why Choose Australia for Buying Trucks?
1. Land of Diversity
Australia isn't just about kangaroos and koalas; it's a vast land of diverse landscapes, from sandy deserts to lush rainforests. Whether you're hauling goods across the rugged Outback or navigating the bustling streets of Sydney, Australia offers a terrain that demands a sturdy and reliable truck.
2. Quality and Reliability
Australian-made trucks are renowned for their quality and reliability. With manufacturers like Toyota, Ford, and Isuzu dominating the market, you can trust that your truck will withstand the harsh conditions of the Australian landscape.
3. Abundance of Options
From heavy-duty workhorses to versatile utility vehicles, the Australian market offers a plethora of truck options to suit every need and budget. Whether you're a tradesperson looking for a reliable work truck or an adventure enthusiast seeking an off-road beast, you'll find the perfect match in Australia.
What to Consider Before Buying
1. Purpose and Australiage
Before diving into the truck-buying process, it's essential to determine your specific needs and Australiage. Are you hauling heavy loads across long distances, or do you need a truck for urban deliveries? Understanding your requirements will help narrow down your options and ensure you find a truck that meets your needs.
2. Budget
Setting a realistic budget is crucial when buying a truck. Consider not only the upfront cost but also ongoing expenses such as fuel, maintenance, and insurance. Remember, investing in a quality truck upfront can save you money in the long run by reducing repair and maintenance costs.
3. Features and Specifications
When researching potential trucks, pay close attention to their features and specifications. Consider factors such as engine power, towing capacity, payload capacity, and fuel efficiency. Additionally, think about any specific features or accessories you may need, such as four-wheel drive, towing packages, or cargo management systems.
4. Resale Value
While it's essential to focus on your immediate needs when buying a truck, it's also wise to consider its resale value. Opting for a popular make and model with a strong resale value can pay off down the road when it's time to upgrade or sell your truck.
Where to Buy Trucks in Australia
1. Dealerships
Dealerships are a popular option for buying trucks in Australia, offering a wide selection of new and used vehicles from various manufacturers. Visiting a dealership allows you to see the trucks in person, test drive them, and discuss your options with knowledgeable sales professionals.
2. Online Marketplaces
In today's digital age, many Australians prefer to shop for trucks online. Websites like Carsales and Gumtree offer a vast selection of new and used trucks from private sellers and dealerships across the country. Shopping online allows you to compare prices, read reviews, and find the best deals without leaving the comfort of your home.
3. Auctions

Israeli Caterpillar bulldozers are so symbolic of settler violence and brutality towards Palestinians; they are literal death machines. D9 bulldozers are sold by Caterpillar Inc., based in the US, and are equipped with armor and can be fitted with machine guns and grenade launchers. The nickname for these machines in Israel is "Doobi" - meaning teddy bear.
In 2004, Human Rights Watch called on Caterpillar to suspend bulldozer sales to Israel because of their use in the demolition of Palestinian property and infrastructure. Caterpillar makes military specifications for the D9 and sells them to Israel as weapons under the U.S Foreign Military Sales program, upon arrival, they are armored by Israel Industries Ltd. Before Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip in 2005, D9s were used to demolish over 2,500 Palestinian homes in Gaza, most being in Rafah where the Israeli Government tried to expand a "buffer zone" along the border with Egypt. This was almost 20 years ago.
During these demolitions within Gaza, Rachel Corrie, an American activist who had been protesting against these home demolitions across the occupied territories, was buried with dirt by an Israeli bulldozer and repeatedly run over. Israeli military sources blamed her and the other activists who were protesting the demolitions, the IDF investigations found themselves not to blame, and no charges were brought for her murder (In the aftermath of her death, Israeli soldiers made fun of her through Facebook communities called "Rachel Corrie Pancakes and Fun", so no justice, the IOF murdered her and then laughed about it).
A federal lawsuit was filed against (which was later dismissed) Caterpillar on behalf of Rachel Corrie's parents and four Palestinian families that had members who were either killed or injured by these bulldozers trying to demolish their homes (including children). The CCR's lawsuit was "on behalf of these families charges Caterpillar, Inc. with aiding and abetting war crimes and other serious human rights violations on the grounds that the company provided bulldozers to the Israeli military knowing they would be used unlawfully to demolish homes and endanger civilians in Palestine. "
Tumblr media
And again in 2018, more human rights groups condemned international construction firms (Caterpillar, JCB, and Liugong) for their roles in the destruction of Palestinian villages - Khan al-Ahmar was a small bedouin village in the West Bank that was planned to be razed and bulldozed for a new road for Israeli settlements, but due to international outcry, postponed the eviction. However, in Sur Baher, several Palestinian homes were demolished by bulldozers after a long legal battle that ruled in favor of the IOF. Israel often uses the guise of 'security' as a justification for these demolitions, but ultimately they are used to make way for settlements.
Massafer Yatta is another Palestinian village that has been under threat of Israeli demolitions for years now and was greenlit for destruction. Bulldozers crushed the village's school and destroyed the homes of 121 families in the area. The Palestinians who had their homes crushed by the bulldozers were forced to live in caves (which they were forbidden to even renovate), it is a decision between leaving their land and community or trying to build a new home that will be demolished by Israelis.
Palestinians throughout the West Bank know that the arrival of a bulldozer means the same thing time and time again: "You have 24 hours to flee, or we will shoot you." There are countless towns/villages/communities that have faced demolitions by the IOF throughout the decades of Israel's existence, I couldn't even begin to name all of them here.
Tumblr media
In cases of public infrastructure, bulldozers were used to crush the main water pipelines of Al-Auja. The iof forced their way into the village and welded-shut the sole pipeline which supplies water to more than 1,200 people and used a bulldozer to crush it beneath the land. This is part of a larger history of Israeli oppression, specifically in regard to stolen water, which is supplied to Israeli settlements (it also forces Palestinians to buy water directly from Israel).
Outside of home and public infrastructure demolitions, the military bulldozers are also used in Israeli raids. In August this year (2023), the IOF raided Nablus in the Balata refugee camp, accompanied by a military bulldozer that destroyed several homes. I can't even pick a date for raids in Jenin refugee camp, which has been raided continuously this year and years before, but Israeli bulldozers have been filmed tearing up streets in Jenin and leaving them in rubble, making the roads unusable.
The Armenian quarter is not safe from settler encroachment either, as demolitions in the West Bank continue, real estate companies have sent in settlers and bulldozers to steal land belonging to Armenian Church property and Several Armenian families. Settler attacks have continued on the Armenian community and Palestinian Armenians have been getting arrested for defending themselves from these mobs.
And now, we have not only gotten the confirmation that these D9s will be used in Gaza but images, testimonies, and videos of them being used on Gazan homes and infrastructure. They are also being used to crush Palestinians to death just as Rachel Corrie had been in 2004, just as those Palestinian families had been in 2002-2004, and (extreme trigger warning for mutilation of a corpse) videos are circulating of Israelis flattening already deceased Palestinians with bulldozers out of pure contempt for us. Almost 20 years since Israel demolished thousands of homes in Gaza (not even including the genocidal bombings campaigns and the blockade Israel has placed on Gaza for years), now they're back destroying anything in their path.
I will repeat: these bulldozers are death machines and are designed to be so. Caterpillar is complicit, the US is complicit, and both are actively benefiting from the mass murder and displacement of Palestinians. Keep your eyes on Gaza but also remember the Armenian Quarter and the West Bank, all of Palestine is under threat of demolitions.

[ID: A purplish-grey stew topped with olive oil and garnished with piles of pomegranate seeds. Plates of green peppers, bitter olives, olive oil, taboon bread, green onions, radishes, and za'tar surround the dish. The second image is a close-up of the same stew. End ID]
رمانية / Rummāniyya (Palestinian pomegranate stew)
Rummaniyya (رُمَّانِيَّة; also transliterated "rumaniyya," "rummaniya," and "rummaniyeh") is a Palestinian stew or dip made from lentils, eggplant, and pomegranate seeds, flavored with nutty red tahina and a zesty, spicy دُقَّة (dugga) of dill seeds, garlic, and peppers. A طشة (ṭsha), or tempering, of olive oil and onion or garlic is sometimes added.
"Rummaniyya," roughly "pomegranate-y," comes from رُمَّان‎ ("rummān") "pomegranate," plus the abstract noun suffix ـِيَّة ("iyya"); the dish is also known as حبّة رُمَّانَة ("ḥabbat rommāna"), or "pomegranate seeds." It is a seasonal dish that is made at the end of summer and the beginning of fall, when pomegranates are still green, unripe, and sour.
This stew is considered to be one of the most iconic, historic, and beloved of Palestinian dishes by people from Gaza, Yaffa, and Al-Ludd. Pomegranates—their seeds, their juice, and a thick syrup made from reducing the juice down—are integral to Palestinian cuisine and heritage, and images of them abound on ceramics and textiles. Pomegranates and their juice are sold from street carts and cafes in the West Bank and Gaza.
Today, tens of thousands of tons of pomegranates are grown and harvested by Israeli farmers on stolen Palestinian farmland; about half of the crop is exported, mainly to Europe. Meanwhile, Palestinians have a far easier time gaining permits to work on Israeli-owned farms than getting permission from the military to work land that is ostensibly theirs. These restrictions apply within several kilometers of Israel's claimed borders with Gaza and the West Bank, some of the most fertile land in the area; Palestinian farmers working in this zone risk being injured or killed by military fire.
Israel further restricts Palestinians' ability to work their farms and export crops by imposing tariffs, unexpectedly closing borders, shutting down and contaminating water supplies, spraying Palestinian crops with pesticides, bulldozing crops (including eggplant) when they are ready to be harvested, and bombing Palestinian farmland and generators. Though Palestinian goods have local markets, the sale of Palestinian crops to Israel was forbidden from 2007 to 2014 (when Israel accepted shipments of goods including tomato and eggplant).
Gazans have resisted these methods by disregarding orders to avoid the arable land near Israel's claimed borders, continuing to forage native plants, growing new spices and herbs for export, planting hydroponic rooftop gardens, crushing chalk and dried eggplants to produce calcium for plants, using fish excrement as fertilizer, creating water purification systems, and growing plants in saltwater. Resisting Israeli targeting of Palestinian food self-sufficiency has been necessary for practical and economic reasons, but also symbolizes the endurance of Palestinian culture, history, and identity.
Support Palestinian resistance by calling Elbit System's (Israel's primary weapons manufacturer) landlord; donating to Palestine Action's bail fund; and buying an e-Sim for distribution in Gaza.
Serves 6-8.
Ingredients:
For the stew:
1 medium eggplant (370g)
1 cup brown lentils (عدس اسود)
600g pomegranate seeds (to make 3 cups juice)
3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4 cup red tahina
1/2 cup olive oil
Salt, to taste
Citric acid (ملح الليمون / حامِض ليمون) (optional)
Red tahina may be approximated with home cooking tools with the above-linked recipe; you may also toast white tahina in a skillet with a little olive oil, stirring often, until it becomes deeply golden brown.
For the دُقَّة (dugga / crushed condiment):
2 tsp cumin seeds, or ground cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp dill seeds ("locust eye" بذور الشبت / عين جرادة)
5 cloves garlic
1 green sweet pepper (فلفل بارد اخضر)
2 dried red chilis (فلفل شطة احمر)
People use red and green sweet and chili peppers in whatever combination they have on hand for this recipe; e.g. red and green chilis, just green chilis, just red chilis, or just green sweet peppers. Green sweet peppers and red chilis are the most common combination.
For the طشة (Tsha / tempering) (optional):
Olive oil
1 Tbsp minced garlic
Instructions:
1. Rinse and pick over lentils. In a large pot, simmer lentils, covered, in enough water to cover for about 8 minutes, or until half-tender.
2. Meanwhile, make the dugga by combining all ingredients in a mortar and pestle or food processor, and grinding until a coarse mixture forms.

6. Taste your pomegranate juice. If it is not sour, add a pinch of citric acid or a splash of lemon juice and stir.
7. Add dagga to the pot with the lentils and eggplant and stir. Continue to simmer until the eggplant is very tender and falling apart.
8. Add pomegranate juice, tahina, and olive oil to the pot, and simmer for another 5 minutes, or until stew is very thick and homogenous.

9. (Optional) In a small skillet, heat a little olive oil on medium. Fry minced garlic, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Add into the pot and stir.
10. (Optional) Mash the stew with the bowl of a ladle or a bean masher to produce a more homogenous texture.
Serve rummaniyya hot or cold in individual serving bowls. It may be served as an appetizer, or as a main dish alongside flatbread, olives, and fresh vegetables such as radishes, green peppers, green onions, carrots, and romaine lettuce. It may be eaten with a spoon, or by using كماج (kmāj), a flatbread with an internal pocket, to scoop up each bite.

I wrote another thing! This one has been in the works for a while. It is also posted on my deviantart. It's a little bit softer than the usual content I post. As always, please feel free to leave suggestions/ideas
‐------------
When I first moved into your spare room, I was definitely on the smaller side. Adult life had bulldozed me, and I learned quick meals and protein bars were the easiest way for me to eat. If I had to make something more complicated, chances are I would just forget to eat entirely.
You, on the other hand, loved to cook, bake, and create different cocktails. Every overindulgence in the past few years showed on your body, curves cascading down your back and flaring at your hips, and your belly often hanging over the waistband of your pants.
You quickly picked up on my food habits, and were quite frankly appalled.
"How can you not love food? Every flavour, every texture? Food is art to me. Have you had good food before?"
I shrugged, because, no, not really. My experience with food thus far had been boxed pastas, cans of soups and chilis, whatever frozen meals were on sale, and various boxed snacks. Eating them didn't bring me a fraction of the joy you got just from talking about food.
Thus began your mission of making me fall in love with at least one dish.
You really could have stopped at the first dish. The leek and potato stew blew my mind. I had never had leeks and found potatoes flavourless mush. But somehow you managed to make such mundane ingredients into a symphonious dish, tastes layering over one another. I could not get enough. The warmth spread from my stomach to encompass my body, and in my cozy bliss I just kept eating, chasing the high of this delectable experience.
I had eaten so much my stomach didn't even slosh when I painstakenly got up from the table.
Your first success spurred you into overdrive. You sought different flavour profiles and combinations, testing to see which ones would make me melt. Most of them did.
Most days I was coming home to the scent of dinner leading me down the hall, with an underlying sweetness hinting at dessert.
You tried a wide range of cuisines. Pot pies, various proteins with rice and veggies, curries from all around the world, and so many different types of pasta. Desserts include cobblers, doughnuts, pies, cakes, and a variety of pastries. I could not believe how much flavour was in everything, and was desperate to get as much of it as possible. Every meal ended with me breathing shallowly, hand caressing my overburdened gut, and you with a satisfied smirk on your face.
With your increase in cooking came your increase in eating. Slowly your body started to billow outward, filling out all your clothes, finally forcing you to look at specialty stores to restock.
My weight gain was not so slow. My body was so used to running on minimal to average calories, it didn't know what to do with the sudden influx, now having to process at least twice what I used to eat in a day.
The first place it was noticable was my gut. It only took a week or two before I had a cute little pot belly. It would push open the buttons on my shirt, and cause issues when buttoning my pants. The rest of my body followed suit. My thighs and ass started to swell, my arms felt constricted in my t-shirts, and a double chin was quickly noticable. I barely noticed. I was so caught up in a whirlwind of culinary pleasure that I paid no mind to my tightening waistbands and my gut starting to peak out of my shirt.
Soon you started cooking breakfast, too. The table would be covered in food, from pancakes to bacon, hashbrowns to quiche. Each day there was something different, and each day I gorged until nearly comatose.
Eating like this every day rapidly changed my body, I had put on 100lbs in 11 months, from the first time you made that stew. I had upgraded my wardrobe 4 times, and was needing to again soon.
And then is was December. The month of overindulgence. Holiday parties every weekend. Potlucks, cocktail parties, hearty meals, sometimes multiple events in the same day.
This was the first time I truly appreciated food; the tastes, the textures, and the stories behind each dish. I tried everything, and then I tried everything again. Most nights I struggled to waddle from the car to my bed. On the rare occasions I wasn't fit to burst, you sat me down on the couch and made me try your creations for the next party. On those nights, I was bound to pass out in the living room, eyes glazed over, gut too stuffed to think about getting up.
Despite all the socializing and gatherings, Christmas day was quiet, just the two of us. I didn't want to fly across the country to see my few relatives, and you were going to do a late holiday dinner with your family at the end of January, when work slowed down for your parents.
I received two sets of pajamas that year. One from you, plaid pants and a red flannel top. It was a little big, but we both knew that wouldn't be the case for long. The other pair I got was from a childhood friend I hadn't seen in person in over 2 years. The pants were baby blue with snowflakes, and the tank top had a cheesy graphic and the phrase "Let it Snow!"
When you went to go work on the feast planned for the day, I tried the second pair of pajamas on. Despite being incredibly stretchy, I could barely get the pants past my thighs. My ass was hanging out the back, and the drawstrings were instantly lost in the waistband. The graphic on the shirt was horrendously distorted, and I could feel a breeze on the bottom of my belly. I was about to change back into the first pair of pjs when you called me for Christmas meal. My mind now only focused on one thing, I stopped what I was doing and lumbered to the table.
You called it Christmas Meal, because it was past noon, but well before dinner time. With the amount of food you made though, we could be there well into the night. There was the traditional fixings; turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, honey roasted carrots, sweet potato casserole, and dinner rolls, but you also added a baked ziti dish, homemade pizza rolls, and cottage pie. Bottles of wine, apple cider, and sparking water lined the middle of the table. There was enough food for 10 people, and we were just 2. I could smell desserts being baked to perfection in the other room.
"This looks amazing! I've never had anything like this. I'm sorry I couldn't help..."
You patted my stomach and laughed. "The only help I need is getting it all eaten. Load up and dig in!"
I piled my plate high with everything I could fit. It would take me at least 2 plates to try everything, probably 3 with the portion sizes I was taking. I looked over, and saw your plate faced the same overburdened fate as mine.
You ladled me a generous glass of mulled wine from the crock pot.
"Cheers!"
And then we fell into a frenzied silence, only the cacophony of two gluttons enjoying a sinfully indulgent feast, and the tv still playing Christmas special reruns in the other room made noise in our tiny apartment.
I still don't know how you did it, but every bite I took had me holding back a moan.
My family had attempted to make a turkey once in my life, and it resulted in a tasteless hunk of disappointment, the bird so dried out that the white meat was somehow pointy and sharp. The one you made was opposite to everything I expected. It was nearly falling apart in my mouth, the seasoning from the brine and rub made it to every bite. Different levels of flavours washed over me, and my eyes nearly rolled into the back of my head.
Every dish you made was like this. Some of them I had equally dismal expectations of, like the green beans, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, and pizza rolls, all things my family had made sacrilege of once. Everything else I either hadn't had, or only had store bought. Even the best store bought ziti bake didn't come close to yours.
I was put into a trance. There was not a moment where I was still, constantly chewing, swallowing, and reaching for the next bite. Everything was washed down with copious amounts of wine and cider.
My shirt was pushed up by my rounding gut, bunched up under my chest by the end of the 3rd plate, my cheeks were warm, and every gurgle my belly let out just pushed me to eat more.
Your clothes had given up containing your belly. It sat naked on full display, hanging out of your defeated shirt, pushing your thighs apart as it sank further. You were absent-mindedly rubbing the crest of your gut as you shoved another role in your mouth. I poured the last of the 2nd bottle of wine in your glass, and popped open the 3rd to serve myself.
It wasn't until just after starting my 7th plate that I realised how overstuffed I was. It all hit me at once, the bottom of my belly itching as my skin stretched around my stomach swelling forward, my breathe shallow and pained, my lungs given no room to expand, pushing out a burp with every other gasp of air. I couldn't lean back without getting a stitch.
You were in a similar state. Hiccups jolting your body shaking out burps, your hands gingerly massaging your gut which was red and almost shiny.
I don't know how long we sat there, just rubbing our guts and moaning. There was still food left, but maybe enough for 1 averaged-sized meal for both of us. Everything else was crammed into our bellies.
Firmly drunk now, the sensation of rubbing my belly was sending sparks along all my nerves. Between that and riding the high of the first Christmas meal I had ever enjoyed, I was lost in my own little world of bliss.
A harsh timer bell going off in the kitchen jolted me out of my stupor, unleashing a string of burps and a new bout of hiccups. You groaned as you got up, supporting your back and belly like you were 9 months pregnant.
You looked at me with a wine-soaked grin.
"Ready for dessert?"

All of this happened yesterday
Israel left the burned out remains of Gaza's largest hospital, with many dead civilians and doctors, some tied up and run over by bulldozers. It does not matter if, as Israel claims, there were militants in the hospital, treating a hospital, patients, and doctors like this violates the Geneva Convention.
Tumblr media
Israel attacked the Irani consulate in Syria, killing multiple people. Embassies and consulates are considered part of their home countries and to attack them is to attack that country's sovereignty. They are protected under the Vienna Convention.
Israel killed seven international aid workers (at this point, the number of Palestinian aid workers is in the hundreds), in THREE separate pinpoint strikes as they escaped from one car to the next, in a route that had been declared safe and vehicles that had been negotiated, with the IDF, to be safe.
Tumblr media
Israel revealed a SIX MONTH assault plan of Rafah, after meeting with the US. This will result in so many casualties, it will be orders of magnitude worse than the carnage we've already been seeing. You can look up what a two week assault of a hospital left, please try to understand what it would mean what an army that doesn't care about killing international aid workers will do to 1.5 million Palestinian civilians.
Tumblr media
Israel is banning Al Jazeera (again: it has killed multiple Al Jazeera reporters, but that's another story).
Tumblr media
Concerning because that's the kind of thing authoritarians do, this whole list is what rogue states do! A single of these events by other countries would lead to outcry, serious condemnations, sanctions, let alone all of them, in one day! These international rules of engagement and Geneva/Vienna Conventions, as Tumblr loves to say about rules and regulations, these are written in blood. When they're violated, really terrible and bad things happen, as has been happening to Palestinians for half a year now!
But I wanted to point out one last thing that came out:
This is an entirely new, separate sale from all the previous ones they've been rushing over.
PLEASE understand how closely this is tying the US to Israel's innumerable war crimes, how bad that is for us, and also why it is simply false to claim Biden and the US have no significant power or complicity here.
Please use whatever pressure and leverage you can to push for an end to this, whether it's protests, calling up your reps, voting for uncommitted, sticking to boycotts and amplifying them, educating people in your peer group.

She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat 2 Eps 9-12 Stray Thoughts
Last time, Nomoto and her new online friend had a watch party and discussed the nature of asexuality and homosexuality coexisting, and Nomoto shared about being in love with Kasuga; I'm a big fan of Yako. The ladies managed to connect more with Nagumo, and we learned she has an eating disorder where she can't eat in front of strangers. However, she did make donuts with them and took some home. Kasuga also managed to sever ties with her father after thinking about it and talking with other women. She asked if Nomoto would support her, and of course she did. I will never stop thinking about the Chosen Family scene.
Episode 9
Yes, Yako, coach her. We cannot let them exit this season without talking through their feelings for each other.
I have never identified with a character more than Yako. I would also enjoy my food and wine while watching my friend sweat over the crush.
Yako backstory! It really is hard in your teens when you are deeply out of alignment with other queers about sex.
The power went out and Kasuga immediately went to check on Nomoto. You love to see it.
NOMOTO IS WEARING ONE OF KASUGA'S SWEATERS, AND KASUGA JUST PULLED LINT FROM HER HAIR. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
Thank you, Nagumo! It would be awkward as hell to sit in this zone of lesbian love and not know what stage we were on!
We have verbal confirmation that Kasuga likes Nomoto! Nagumo, you are our champion! You have to get these two to the next level!!
Currently dwelling on Kasuga not lying when asked directly about her feelings. There's a difference between being out and letting people in, and I like that Kasuga told her truth to Nagumo.
Episode 10
Their project manager is at least being upfront with them that they're being asked to rebuild the entire app.
Sorry, Kasuga, but it's not often we escape compulsory heterosexuality and still have a positive interaction in a sales environment like this.
Nagumo, I love you. You have finally given us a reason to have Kasuga voice her thoughts aloud.
This show really said plainly that the presumption of heteronormativity hurts and upsets people who don't fit that mold.
I really love this show detailing how harrowing pining is when you don't know if the other person is queer and the relationship you've built means so much to you.
Episode 11
Episode 21, you aired on Valentine's Day. Please don't let me down.
This former Valentine's Day and White Day gifting tradition sounds tedious as hell.
I didn't expect Kasuga's family troubles to end with that one phone call, and here goes the aunt downplaying Kasuga's feelings and bulldozing over her expressed boundaries.
Okay, Mikami! Way to come through for my girls!!
I wanna have hotpot so bad right now.
I'm so nervous about these chocolates!!
Damn, this cake looks good. I like putting the whipped cream on the side.
Kasuga picked out different chocolates! I'm so proud of her!
Now, Kasuga, why would you go and crush me like that on Valentine's Day? I know why you need to move, but goddamn.
Episode 12
Invoices for raising her? Vile.
Queers apologizing for being selfish when they confess will never not make me cry.
I'm sorry I got a bit testy at the dramatic cliffhanger, Kasuga. You came through for me exactly the way I hoped. Y'all should definitely find a bigger place together and stay in touch with Nagumo.
"I am very delighted and also taken aback." She's like me and I love her.
Aww that was so beautiful, and she's still crying.
I'm so glad she told Sayama immediately. We stay winning.
Man, I just watched I Only Want to See You, and I'm feeling the same difficulty in the transition from friendship to romance in the relationship.
Yes, ladies, thank you for talking through telling others and reaffirming that this is definitely a romance. Let's make sure no one, especially the audience, misunderstands.
I love how Nomoto bursts into tears when she swoons.
Oh snap the whole squad is going to meet Yako next week!!!
We did it, y'all! We got to see them confess their feelings and start dating. I'm so looking forward to seeing their relationship grow and mature, and I'm actually looking forward to the move and the attendant drama that brings. I hope Nagumo doesn't end up thinking that asking about their relationship somehow cost her the relationship she's been building with them. This was an excellent week of episodes.
Big thanks to @furritsubs for making this possible.

Why did Runningbrook get shot? That’s a pretty horrifying way to die, especially if any other cat was nearby to see it happen :(
It was!
So this time, the Suburban Expansion of TNP is getting overhauled. I've actually sat down and worked out a couple human factions; the
Land Owners (Windovers)
Unnamed Development Company (Devco)
The Scientists.
The cats won't be able to notice that there isn't just one group of humans at play here, but you will be able to notice them if you pay close attention to what's happening during the first part of TNP. The three groups interact very differently with Clan cats.
The FIRST group at play here, and the one that isn't a player for very long, is the Windovers. It's openly known by the locals that the cats in the woods are 'a bit strange', especially the farmers near WindClan. The Windovers own that land, and lease it out to various hunters and visitors and such.
But they've been approached by Devco, who want to expand Chelford by purchasing their land.
Problem that the Windovers have: If it gets out there are sapient cats, complete with religion, war, and possibly even tool use (rumored but unconfirmed) there's going to be a HUGE problem in selling it.
SO they're trying to 'quietly' deal with the pests. First they poisoned the rabbits, knowing that they eat those. That worked a bit. Next, they tried to scare them off by actively setting deadly animal traps, and taking shots as if they're pest rabbits. That was how Runningbrook died.
(If I end up moving away from gun, she will end up dying to some sort of snare. The point here though is that it's a, "Wait! They're trying to hurt us!" moment)
Around this point, the sale goes through and suddenly Windover persecution stops. NOT their problem anymore, THANK god, Windovers Exit Stage Right.
But at this point, the Clan cats are well aware that they are being actively targeted. Several cats were poisoned, injured, or outright killed. Devco begins development, first cutting through the trees near the Thunderpath, and eventually bringing in the Bulldozer
Which, Speckletail deals with! Buying them just a bit more time. Suddenly, it's calm for a bit, like they're "mourning their monster."
But THIS is actually the moment where Millie's Radio Collar begins; a cat attacking a construction worker is not something that can be ignored, it's all over the news, "CAT ATTACKS BULLDOZER, CLAIMS LABOURER."
(The Windovers got out just in time, they KNEW something like this was going to happen but now it's Devco's problem)
So this is where the Scientists come in. There's a huge clamor over this, Locals saying, "THE CATS ARE SPECIAL," others saying they need to be removed and rehomed, in any case, it's agreed that the White Hart west of the road needs to be de-catted before construction continues (though construction continues to the west, where ShadowClan is)
And this is when the "round-up" efforts come in, where there are live traps, a big white tent set up, and the cats are going to get weighed, tagged, and studied.
These guys are peaceful and DO NOT want to hurt the cats; but the Clans don't know that. To them, humans are a monolith and they're now terrified of them.
From here, the story returns to normal. A coordinated effort from the Clan cats frees the cats they've captured. Graystripe is the only one the scientists are able to hold onto, by slamming the door of the van just before he can leap out. Millie is later released with him, wearing a radio collar accurate to the tracking tech of the time.
And that brings us to the way humans interact with Clan cats now! The team tries to keep their distance to not stress them out any more, using trail cams and staying several hundred feet away while observing them.

Welcome to Sorcerer's Glade, a choose-your-own-adventure story using Tumblr polls!
In this story, whatever option the most people vote for determines the direction of the plot! I'll try to update weekly as the results roll in. The polls themselves will be on a separate post, which will be linked at the end of this first entry. Have fun! -
Part 1
With classes out for the summer, many students in your town are planning to go to the school carnival. It's a great place to hang out with friends, pig out on junk food, maybe even kiss your crush at the top of the Ferris wheel, and the ticket sales all go towards funding the school's extracurriculars. You may be too old for kiddie coasters and Tilt-A-Whirls, but most of your classmates will be there, and maybe you'll have a chance to relive some fun childhood memories before you head off to college next year.
It's the first day of summer vacation, and you're hanging out at your best friend Emma's house, considering inviting her to the carnival. But before you can ask, Emma pulls you onto her bed, opening her laptop. "Look at this," she says, opening a YouTube video. "You know Sorcerer's Glade, the old theme park?"
Of course you know about Sorcerer's Glade; ever since Emma found out about it a few months ago, it was all she could talk about. The abandoned theme park just a few miles out of town is set to be demolished soon, and Emma's been obsessed with the idea of breaking in and snapping a few photographs before it's bulldozed and replaced with a shopping mall. Still, you decide to humor her. "Yeah?" you say. "What about it?" She plays the video. "Look at this," she said. "People are saying it's a ghost."
The video quality is grainy, filmed on an out of date iPhone as ghost sightings so conveniently always happen to be, but you can barely make out a dark shadow slipping behind the rusted beams of a decaying roller coaster, overgrown with moss and covered in fallen branches. "It's probably fake," you say. Emma beams at you. "But wouldn't it be cool if it was a ghost? One of these comments says it could be Rebecca Williams, a little girl who fell off the roller coaster back in 1995. The park didn't want to take responsibility and got shut down after her death, so now her ghost haunts the coaster." "You don't really believe-" you start, then shake your head. What are you saying? Emma loves all things spooky and paranormal, from aliens to Bigfoot. A ghost in an abandoned theme park fit right in with all the cryptids and conspiracies she's always going on about. You look back at the video, the shadow flitting about onscreen. Is it just some clever editing, or could that really be the spirit of a dead girl, not long from where you live? Either way, you decide to change the subject. "Hey, Emma," you say. "Do you want to go to the school carnival with me?" Emma furrows her brow. "The school carnival? How about we go to Sorcerer's Glade instead? If Rebecca is really there, maybe we could find out for ourselves!" You wince. "Maybe Rebecca, um, just wants to be left alone," you say. "We don't even know if that video is real or not."
"Yeah, but even so, the park's going to be torn down soon. I want to see it before that happens. Besides, Justin and Opal already said they'd come; you don't want to miss out!" You don't know how Emma got your other two friends to agree to this, but she's right- you don't want to miss out. After all, they'll all be spending the first day of the summer going on some adventure, and the school carnival would be boring if you went alone. "Okay," you say. "You got me." "Make sure to pack for urban exploring," Emma says. "I'll meet you back here in an hour, okay?" "Sure," you answer, although doubt still hangs in your mind. Nonetheless, you go home and empty your school backpack, crumpled-up worksheets and battered binders falling out onto the floor. You've never been urban exploring before, and have no idea what to pack, but you decide to fill it with things that you imagine you'd need- your phone, some water bottles, snacks, a poncho, a notebook... soon, your backpack only has room for one more item. You're considering bringing either a small knife or a flashlight. Both could have their uses- after all, in the video Emma showed you, the park seemed all but overtaken by nature, and having something to cut vines out of your way, or to defend yourself if it came to that, could come in handy. But on the other hand, a flashlight would be useful for exploring dark spaces... although doesn't your phone already have a flashlight built into it?
