Hey there!
Tumblr media
Checking out Loudclan? That's great! Thanks so much!
Loudclan was originally planned to be drawn as I played the game like most other clangen blogs... Then I got frustrated about how slow it was moving and played ahead. Just a little bit, nothing to worry about, only about 1000 moons. So this blog should be running for A WHILE. I also take pretty big liberties with the designs and events. I think it's more interesting that way! Also it's been several real life months since I started playing and some things I just... forgot. Or lost. Either way, it's fun to stretch my creative skills.
As for the mechanics of the blog:
General Content Warnings Include:
Death, Animal Death, (Cat Death specifically), Death in Childbirth, Violence, Murder, Illness, Gore, Grooming, Abuse, Bad Parenting, Cheating, Affairs, Drama, Cursing, Language, Dirty Jokes, ECT. (if i missed something please let me know)
Updates are not going to be on a consistent schedule... ever. I'm a college student. I just don't have the time or energy.
The style is going to vary wildly. It's been years since I've consistently drawn cats and I wasn't ever really happy with the way I did it back then anyway. Come along for the ride with me! I'm just as surprised by what my hands create as you guys!
Overview:
Loudclan is set in a fictional location that is based on South Central Alaska. A group of rogues fled up the mountains to get away from the deep snows of the valleys at the beginning of a particularly harsh winter. The clan follows three "Leaders" in the form of the Leader, the Lead Healer, and the Lead Mediator. These leaders will each pass their position on to their oldest heir, the closest related member of their direct family. Issues regarding what happens when two cats have similar claims have yet to be sorted out by the clan, and may never be fully decided... *insert mysterious foreshadowing sounds*
If you are interested in more of a deep dive into the lore check out this post: Lore, or anything tagged #loudclanlore .
Want to see a list of all of the Loudclan cats? Go here: Allegiances.
Asks are welcome! I will do my best to answer them quickly and efficiently! I am happy to talk about characters, art, process, gameplay, pretty much anything. (I probably won't be showing sprites though, just because I've played ahead so far and a not insignificant amount of them are just... gone. Lost to the ether. Sacrificed so that my laptop could keep running the game.) All asks are tagged #loudclanasks .
Also fanart/writing/edits are more than welcome! You guys are so cool and talented and I am honored that you would want to make something based on my dumb little pixel cats. Referencing or imitating my style/designs/layout is absolutely allowed, just make sure to mention me so I don't miss them! All fan contributions are tagged #loudclanfan .
I will never complain about anyone "blowing up my notifications" or spam liking. I think it's so neat to see people go through the blog liking as they go. Don't worry about it. I enjoy seeing you enjoy my work!
A little bit about me, you can call me "D"! I use any pronouns, I'm pretty ambivalent about them but the majority of people use she/her for me and I'm fine with that. I'm 20, I live most of the time in Alaska and part time on a ranch in Texas and I'm working on my BA in Elementary Education. I started reading Warriors in 2nd Grade and stopped in 6th Grade but the brain worms never die. If you know me in real life no you don't: It took me all of high school to kill the furry allegations I'm not going through that again. Oh, and my main blog is @restinginpiecesofpizza but warning, there's spoilers for Owlstar's family tree for like 8 generations posted on there.
If you think Loudclan's cool and want to help me out consider checking out my RedBubble!
Anyway, thanks for checking out my blog! I hope you enjoy!

Related to FallenClan designs! All your designs are super amazing, what’s your simplifying process/how do you decide design for cat pelts? Cause I always struggle with simplifying/deciding how they look especially bengals and cats with white patches… thanks if you respond!
I’m ADHD and struggle with consistency and simplifying lol, though more complex designs are pretty, I lean more towards what you do w/ you’re cats as they are simple but still super pretty + it makes it easier to consistently draw them all for stuff like this! (These comic like moon updates :])
(Also hope none of this came off as offensive, it’s all meant positively! I really really admire you and your designs :])
ty for the compliments!!! very sweet ask and I shall do my best to give a good response o7
generally my method with designing characters/drawing is to just wing it. fuck it we ball basically. but i DO take a lot of inspiration from other people's warriors art, taking the time to analyze what i like about their styles and what different sorts of patterns i can use
(i also regularly consult the Clangen Sprite Guide for better looks at white patches/tortie patterns and such, highly recommend)
the first thing i decide when i'm designing a new cat is what fur texture i want them to have. i have four that I pick from (pictured below, in order), wavy, spiky, curly, and square.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i decide the fur pattern based on the cat's personality (a more stoic cat might have square fur, while someone more bubbly might have curly, or someone more excitable have spiky, so on and so on), and also based on their parents/how many cats i've designed with that fur pattern recently.
after that is snout shape, which is probably my favorite part. i love to draw cats with a very pronounced snout, not unlike an oriental shorthair, but i generally slide around between that and a more typical, stubby snout, occasionally veering off into the very square snout of a maine coon. this is also a great spot to determine how sharp you want their jaw to be, which is something that can really help set a design apart! (a couple of snout examples below)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then i usually move onto colors. i like to pick an undertone for the cat first, so i know what sort of pallate to work with. as you can see in the pictures below, ravenstar has a purple/blue undertone, and toadbelly has orange/red undertones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this helps me make all the colors look nicer together, so i don't end up doing something like making a very warm colored cat with blue-toned white patches (which would make the white patches look super cold/too bright), which can be a really cool stylistic choice, but isnt what i tend to go for
once i've drawn out the cats fur shape and picked my colors, i'll move onto the base coat. over my time of having the fallenclan blog i've discovered that having a very simple pattern underneath the normal pattern can add a lot of visual interest to a cat, and make them look less plain.
here's a good example! one of the first cats i designed, oaktuft. their pattern was super basic--one base color, plus the inside of the ears, and then the color of their patterns.
Tumblr media
and here's another cat that i designed a little more recently--Shiverspots! you can see that even just the small change of adding a bit of a lighter color to her underbelly made a world off difference. plus my style got a lot more defined lol
Tumblr media
i have a couple of different base patterns that i use. here's a few more examples. i've even started to experiment with more than two colors!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
once i've got the base done i move onto patterns. this part can definitely be tricky; trying to make a dozen brown tabbies with short fur be distinct can be . a challenge. i like to follow the steps of what i've already designed--a cat with spiky fur might have very sharp, angular stripes, and a cat with curly fur might have much rounder ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think a good rule of thumb for if your pattern feels a little too basic is just to throw some more colors in there. another shade of orange, a more pale tint to some of them, whatever. and don't be afraid to erase it and start again! sometimes a design just won't work, and thats fine :)
the final thing i do is to add little design quirks. a particularly sharp jawline, downturned eyes, a crooked smile or a gap tooth, whatever! little things can really give your cats character.
i really hope that this helped!!!

Welcome to RisingClan!
This is a Warrior Cats Fan Project based on the game ClanGen (@officialclangen ) where updates are posted in real time! Below are a list of resources for you, the reader. Please look over these resources before asking a question. Thank you for coming along for the ride, I hope you enjoy yourselves and feel welcome.
You can also find my on my main, @rowanfalls, and my art blog, @ashleyrowan
Chronological Order
If you're looking to start reading RisingClan from the beginning, you can do so on desktop here. This does not include Asks, only canon posts. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this on mobile.
Tag Lists and Trigger Warnings
RisingClan is proud to employ Trauma Informed Storytelling. As a safety tool, I use a series of tags to warn readers about upcoming triggering content as well as a system called Heavy Content Alert, all of which can be found explained in detail here.
As well, a list of tags that I use to categorize content like AUs, advice, and so forth can be found at that same link.
Patreon and Ko-Fi
RisingClan is free and will always be free, but if you'd like to support me financially, you can do so on my Patreon and my Ko-Fi! This support is greatly appreciated and helps me continue to create great work for RisingClan. Keep in mind that if you use the Patreon or Ko-Fi apps, there will likely be a cut of your donation/subscription taken for the appstore and that using the desktop sites will ensure that I receive the full amount as intended.
Allegiances
A list of characters and their allegiances, like those listed at the beginning of every Warrior Cats book, can be found here.
FAQ
Below the cut is a list of some of the questions I frequently receive and their answers. Please read this whole list before sending an ask as any questions already covered by the FAQ will be deleted.
Q: What does 'In Real Time' mean? A: Real Time means that the events of my ClanGen game are posted on the day when they would have occurred in real life. So for example, the first month of Newleaf is March so all events that happen in that first month of Newleaf will be posted in March and the temporal relationship between any two posts is the same as the temporal relationship between any two events. If two posts are a week apart, then those events are also a week apart. If a kit is born it will be 6 real life months before that kit is apprenticed. Posts are accurate to the day but not the hour since I have to cater to Tumblr posting times.
Q: What are your ClanGen game settings? A: I play the Stable Version, Expanded Mode. I do not allow mass extinction events, romantic interactions with former mentors, or first cousins to be mates or have romantic interactions. Pregnancy does not ignore biology but same-sex adoption is increased. Cats are allowed to breed with cats that aren't their mates. Experience based graduation is turned on (although some of the story was played before it was an option), cats will never retire due to a permanent condition, and warriors and elders are able to choose to become mediators.
Q: Do the other Clans have safe files in your game? A: Yes, although I don't follow the events of those games as strictly as I do RisingClan. They are here to support RisingClan's story so if something that happens in another Clan would distract from the story or changing an event might better tell the story then I will change that event. However, the City Cats do not have a save file as most of them are created specifically for plot purposes. I have a save file I use to help generate sprites/design ideas for the City Cats but I don't follow the events or relationships in it at all.
Q: Will you show us the character sprites/relationship tabs? A: No, I won't. I was more open to the idea when I started this blog but as things went on I realized that I preferred the freedom of not having to stay strictly to the sprites in my designs, especially now that I'm making RisingClan genetically accurate. As well, some sprites contain spoilers like missing limbs that I don't want to share. I also play so far in advance that it isn't possible for me to show you everyone's relationship tabs since that data is no longer accessible once a cat dies.
Q: How are the RisingClan cats genetically accurate? A: I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of the genotypes of every cat in RisingClan (and some of the cats outside of RisingClan) and whenever kits are born I make sure that the kits are possible given the parents involved. Because ClanGen is not genetically accurate, I will be deviating from the sprites when necessary but I also intend to edit my save files to be genetically accurate when I have the time so that we don't drift too far from the sprites over the generations.
Q: What art program do you use? A: I use ClipStudio Paint (a friend bought me the full version a while ago) and I love it. Highly recommend if you have the money (or if you can find it um.. second hand, as it were).
Q: Why hasn't my ask been posted yet? A: All answered asks are put into the queue and spaced out to pad the space between writing pieces. If I am receiving a lot of asks, it may take a couple weeks for your specific ask to get posted. If that time goes by and I still haven't answered it, I probably deleted the question because it was already answered by the FAQ, it made me uncomfortable, or it was needlessly antagonistic.
Bonus: You made a typo in the last piece! I appreciate people pointing out typos for me since I don't have any beta readers but I also don't like posting those corrections very much. If you see a typo, please send it in an ask but know that once I see it and fix the typo, I will delete the ask. This means that if there are any questions or comments you want me to see and post, they need to be in a separate ask from the typo correction or I will delete them. I don't want to delete your lovely comments so make sure you send a separate ask!
Do you have a question that isn't on the FAQ? It might be in the FAQ tag, try checking there too!

Hey 🫵 Would you like a game where you could play as a Wings of Fire dragon with a completely randomized story in which you could be anything you wanted? From an animus to a hybrid to royalty to an assassin to a JMA student, everything and anything is possible! You do? I do, too! I can code and write, however, art is simply not my forte, and I'll still need lots of help on the other fronts, too, sooo...
I'm looking for coders, writers, and artists for a Wings of Fire Lifegen mod! I will be starting with implementing sprites for each Tribe, and I'll go from there, since planning it all out big picture is a daunting task that I don't want to do alone. Feel free to suggest and discuss potential future features with me, though! DM me for any ideas you may have and if you'd like to help ^^
This game is completely volunteer-based and is coded on Perchance in HTML & CSS using the clangen mod & warriors fangame Lifegen as an inspirational basis, as well as the existing Perchance WoF game, WoF Life Game. Our current goal is to make sprites for each Pyrrhian Tribe and to get the player character's first stage of life (childhood) up and running with enough events, dialogue, lessons (replacing clangen's patrols for dragonets), and thoughts. Once we've done that, we're aiming to code in the Pyrrhian hybrids and work on the next stage of life: adulthood, which will open up more patrol types, such as working and quests. We currently have 6 writers & 6 artists and are accepting 4 more of each before we're good on submissions! Prior to becoming a dev, however, you will enter a dev trial phase in which you will be assessed to ensure your behavior fits our rules and you must agree to allow us to use your content in the game should you ever leave or be removed from the team.

FAQ
Are you a ClanGen developer? I am not apart of the development team.
Are you the official ClanGen blog? Nope, the official ClanGen blog is @officialclangen.
Would you ever give the username to the official blog if they asked? Of course, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Did you make these sprites? I've put the sprites together in a way that resembles the character but the actual sprites themselves were made by the people who've contributed to ClanGen.
Something in the sprites you've posted doesn't exist in my game! You're either using an outdated release of ClanGen or I've pulled something from the development builds that hasn't come to stable versions of the game yet.
I don't like how you made this character look... Sorry, the sprites are made to reflect my own vision of the characters. I may re-do characters exclusive to books I haven't read yet. A lot of my choices are based on impressions, so my vision might change. If your grievance is that I forgot to include an injury, please let me know! I reference the wiki so this shouldn't happen, but I'm always capable of making mistakes.
You didn't answer my ask! Sorry, it's not intentional. This blog has sparked in popularity and with that, my askbox gets new suggestions everyday. If I haven't gotten around to your request, it's one of three things: 1. It's still far back in the queue. 2. The character you've asked for has already been posted/requested. 3. Tumblr simply ate your ask (or the post i've placed into the queue).
How do you make the sprites? I edit the save file of a single cat and use the "zoom-in" profile feature.
How many people are behind this blog? Just one battle cats fan.
Can I reblog your posts onto my roleplay blog and/or tag as kin? Go for it! I don't mind at all.
Can you make my OC? Warriors has a lot of characters, adding OCs onto my plate would be overwhelming if I'm being honest.
What will you do when you finish all the characters? I might leave the blog as is and come back to update it when new characters enter the series. I've thought about doing designs based on rewrites I really enjoy as well. Is the blog dead? If I'm ever gone for a long time without notice it means I'm just taking a break for one reason or another. I'm very particular with my digital spaces and never silently abandon accounts for clarity. Is it okay if I like-spam or reblog-spam? Go for it.

Welcome to ElementClan!
Hello everyone! Inspired by blogs such as @fallenclan, @bitterclan, and @fernclans, I've decided to make a Clan Gen blog of my own.
Now, I can't draw cats as quickly as I would want to in order to make this an art blog, nor do I have the motivation to write a short story for every moon. Instead, I'll be posting moon-by-moon summaries of what these cats get up to.
The Challenge
With this Clan, I decided to do the Magic Challenge created by Nix (he/they) on the ClanGen Discord. Basically, cats can have Earth, Water, Fire, or Air magic. Some cats are powerless. Some cats can use all four of them and can glow as well. The Clans view these cats as blessed by StarClan and are revered by all. There are other cats who can control all the elements and can glow, but they also exude a dark aura and can kill other living things with a touch. The Clans see these cats as dark-cursed and fear the influence of the Dark Forest through them.
My Gameplay
I stuck pretty close to the original rules, but made a few changes based on how I like to play the game. I decided that cats can each only control one element (unless they're star-blessed or dark-cursed) and I assigned each cat a power level using a dice roll.
I've actually been playing this Clan since May and have 262 moons worth of summaries written down (aka, I have a solid backlog). But that also means that there are some cats who have faded and I don't know their sprites, ages, or personalities. This also means that I won't be able to answer questions about cats' relationships, personality traits, etc. from early moons.
Because I have such a big backlog, I'm currently planning on posting once a day every day at 9:30 am mountain time.
Enjoy learning about the lives of these cats!

Lore
ElementClan is feared by the other Clans.  As the only current Clan with a Dark Cursed leader and deputy, it is thought to have a violent darkness at its heart.  The fact that they live underground only adds to their mystique.  Battles with ElementClan are almost guaranteed to be lost.  Their leadership can kill with a touch and their fearsome fire warrior is one of the most powerful mages the Clans have ever seen.  But what truly goes on in this shadowed Clan?  Let me shine a light into their darkness to show you. . .

Welcome to MachairClan 🌾🌸
Hello! Welcome to my ClanGen blog. My name is Jen. Please note this is a WIP but I’ll start posting soon.
This blog is about MachairClan (Mack-hair), a group of cats living in a coastal machair in Scotland. They are adapted to life on the coast, hunting fish and seabirds and scavenging where they can. They pride themselves on protecting the unique habitat in which they live, and are known to be strong and healthy thanks to the sea air they live among. The Clan begins with Heatherstar and Streamkit and goes from there.
I’m starting this blog in the hopes of updating it regularly but I can’t promise anything lol, I’m not used to making “comic-esque” art, as in I don’t want to get burnt out by doing this so it’s more of a thing I’ll update when I feel like it. I use ClanGen for the base storyline and develop it myself, so although these characters are from ClanGen, please don’t claim them as your own, and please don’t repost any of my art (all art is mine unless stated otherwise). All my blogs are art blogs and I don’t have a “main one” lol so if you wanna credit me just credit this blog name.
Main post tag: #machair moon
Extra post tag: #extra machair
Question answer tag: #askbox
Other things I’ll tag are stuff like character names, sprites, moon number, etc. There will be mild gore, blood and death which will all be tagged.
Basic DNI criteria apply, proshitters and z1onists stay away.
