So I was being me, watching Season 6 of My Hero Academia, because I was ready for the next new arcs and totally not watching because of the Mirko trailer...💅

NO FRRRRRR THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT like I want them to explain to me why Miruko, a black woman, was given a skin tone maybe a shade or two darker than all of the pale-toned characters. It’s so fucking infuriating. Like anime in general has such a problem with dark skinned characters to begin with, with most series just straight up not including them, or worse, including them in racist ways

And so to take a black female character, when so few already exist in anime, and whitewash her so thoroughly is so fucking upsetting

(It’s even worse too because her original appearance in the anime, the first pic, still had her several shades lighter than she is in the manga, and they still felt the need to whitewash her even more in the new season)

Anyways, I’m going to be very bitter about this and I want to maim kill bite the animators responsible
