PARKER OGILVIE AND PINKY GAUTHIER HCS

PINKY GAUTHIER

Ladies first! And to start I think Pinky is most definitely a lady, despite how young she is. She probably had elocution lessons from very young, likely as soon as she started toddling the Gauthiers were putting books on her still yet unfused head. She prides herself on having the best table manners, vocabulary and posture of the preps but then again there’s a LOT of pressure on her. Her marriage to Derby was likely decided before Pinky was even a concept, she’s known her entire life that the plan for her is to marry her cousin and keep the family lines strong, pure and untainted by the blood of lower class outsiders. I’d find it very hard to believe that her parents put any sort of emphasis on her academic achievements, they likely want her to make good connections and thrive socially. Ever since she was very little her parents have made her plan and host her own birthday parties. The mark of a good woman is how good she is as a hostess, after all.

Pinky is very naturally graceful, so her parents sent her off to a ballet school in Belgium for the first few years of her early teens, she enjoyed the dancing but very much did not enjoy the teachers’ emphasis on her appearance when she danced. Alongside ballet, she was also taught to ballroom dance and to figure skate. Pinky can still barely stand the smell of hairspray, it reminds her too much of having her hair wrenched back into exceptionally tight, intricate styles for ballroom. She keeps on with ballet and figure skating, although she mostly tends to skate in duo competitions with Gord rather than solo, she finds them more enjoyable.

Likes to be tanned, but will never go to a tanning salon unless she’s absolutely positively desperate. Then again, she only ever gets spray tans in the salon. If she feels she’s looking a little pale or sickly, she calls her daddy. Daddy will then get her out of class for however long she likes and whisk her away somewhere nice and warm. It’s the perfect arrangement.

Despite my first headcanon, i do think that pinky has still retained a good amount of her inner child. She loves the carnival, and will beg anyone and everyone to take there. If not to go on the rides, to gawk at all the poor people. Like gord, she admires them, but unlike gord she really relishes in their sense of fun. The carnival is trivial in terms of amusement for her when at the snap of her fingers she could own every single six flags in the country. Or have a waterslide built into the walls of her room right down into the Olympic sized pool the Gauthiers have in their yard. Pinky likes those that are outside her social circle because they’re so carefree, they can use what little money they have in their pockets to shoot empty tequila bottles with an airsoft rifle and win little tickets and they have FUN doing it! Now that is cool.

Pinky is quick to love, she makes connections easily because she’s been so deprived of interaction in her younger years. Her parents, more specifically her father, kept her locked in an ivory tower on their estate for as long as humanly possible lest she get any ideas above her station. Pinky is most definitely a girls girl, she likes doing girly stuff and in a clique choc full of boys she finds it hard to fully connect with the preps beyond anything highly superficial. She tries to plan girls days out as often as possible and she pays for literally everything, mani-pedis, new outfits, breakfast lunch and dinner. Pinky just likes being a girly girl, and when she’s around other girls her age she really thrives.

PARKER OGILVIE

Parker is just the sweetest person in the universe. You could not get me to say a bad word about Parker if my life depended on it. I think he’s a very happy go lucky guy, and definitely the person you want to go to if you’re feeling a little bit blue (aquaberry blue or otherwise) because he’s just so sunny! No one really knows how he manages to stay so positive all the time, maybe its because of all the inbreeding but he could be having the worst day that any human in the history of the world could have ever experienced and he’d still be basically skipping around school whistling like a 1940’s Disney character.

He tires to act all ruthless and cold hearted to fit in better with the preps but he’s such a huge softie, he just can’t help but show it, even if it makes him feel guilty (like the voice lines about the beggar). Parker wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s pretty easy to read, which by proxy makes him easy to manipulate. He forms strong bonds quickly and gets his heart broken a lot. He just wants to be loved in the same way he loves everyone else, he still hasn’t quite realised that a man of his station can’t love so freely.

The gnome thing started when he was a little kid. Every kid has their comfort item, his just happened to be an antique garden gnome. He took gnomey with him everywhere, to school, to bed, to cotillions. Everywhere. Once his parents found out his tantrums could be satiated with gnomes, his collection only grew. When his sister was born, he was given a small collection of gnomes by his parents a little gnome family painted to look like the Ogilvies, with a card stating that they were actually a special gift from his newborn sister. This made the transition from only child to older brother just a little bit smoother. In hindsight, his parents could have tried to wean him off of the gnomes, more specifically his nasty habit of talking openly with them, but they saw Parker wasn’t showing any other sins of stunted development or impaired neurological function like they had seen with many of their other old-money friends’ kids, so simply let him keep chatting away to the gnomes.

He’s got quite the knack for gardening, but fears he’ll be kicked out of the clique if he continues to get caught elbow deep in potting soil, so he opts to hire help in the form of other students. He gives them detailed instructions on everything, from pruning, to watering to propagation but always seems to find himself in the greenhouse at dead of night with a head torch on, cleaning up their shoddy work. Tad sometimes comes to help him, and they have a little secret corner of the greenhouse that they grow seasonal flowers in. If Parker likes them enough, he’ll cut of the best ones and make bouquets for his dates. He’s been turned down so many times though, that he’s starting to run out of flowers.

Has the most gorgeous, pin straight hair ever. Much to the despair of other preps (COGUH gordCOUGH) that have to rely on hair straighteners and countless extremely expensive styling products to keep their hair looking fabulous and up to par. Parker is usually good to go as soon as he’s out of bed. Just a light brushing to alleviate tangles and brush his hair into place and he’s flyaway free and good to go. The only time he ever touches his hair with products is days he knows he’s got big events, or will be doing a lot of strenuous exercise. He uses styling wax and hairspray SPARINGLY on those days to make sure his hair stays at its very best.

Looking through various Young Justice related tags, trying to think about what really keeps me attracted to the show and makes my neurons fire and sucks me back in every time.

So far all I'm getting is that big empty sad feeling in my chest because the Artemis Crock tag is just so full of sad shit with her and Jade and their shitty dad and of course Wally being dead.

Uuuuuuuugh. I have never hated and loved a show so much.

I feel so stupid still being emotionally affected by a damn show from 2010, but fuck if it doesn't just slash right into my chest sometimes. I think there's a part of me that just never recovered from March 16, 2013. And I'm not entirely joking.

And on top of that Artemis is just my favorite ever and I love her backstory with Jade and seeing little Artemis with a black eye and broken arm from Lawrence just tugs at my heartstrings.

dreamy i'm in your inbox solely to fan girl about chan. i just, idk, i love him so much that it's kinda sick and twisted? like i turned 27 last week! TWENTY SEVEN! i should not be this into a kpop band / boy yet ??? idk his stupid little face makes me so happy. i love how much he loves what he does and his fans and how much he cares about his craft and fellow bandmates. i just want to tell him how good of a job he's doing and to stop beating himself up if he isn't like 100% perfect at all times. he is so self-deprecating sometimes during his lives and i just wanna shake him and be like "sttttttoooooooop talking about my emotional support bestie who doesnt even know he is my bestie like that!!!" idk idk he just brings me so much joy. i've been in this fandom for like less than a year (baby stay who got into them the end of last year). but even though i havent been there from the start i cant help but be so proud of him (and all the other boys!!!) for how far they've come! like they were JYPs underdog boy group that he almost didnt even debut and now they are like the 2nd most popular boy band in all of korea only 2nd to bts (that is if my facts are correct) and just UUUUUUUUGH. i am so proud of him for enduring and sticking it through and so happy that he, and all the other members, are finally getting their chance in the spotlight and be appreciated for the wonderful performers they are! i'm only sad about joining the fandom so late because now i know when they come back to the US again the tickets are going to be even more insanely costly iuhgbjnkiuhbnmjhb. okay rant over!

ahhh omg this is so cute!! and youre so valid i wish i could get him to really understand how much we all love him and how much he really means. and pls there is no age u shouldnt fall for chris he is timelessly sweet and kind and full of so much passion and caring it would be crazy not to feel giddy and mushy about him. they really have come so far and grown so much and he's done such an incredible job of leading them and the fandom. and i know it always sucks not to stan from debut but you're here now and skz are only going to keep growing and evolving so you get to be here for all of that. theyre only really just getting started i think, so i think you've arrived just when you were meant to hehe and i agree the tour thing could be an issue UNLESS jype follows other companies and works to make sure fans can grab tickets before the public, but we'll just have to see how it works out. i also think theyll probably do stadiums next time they come (they should since they had like 2-3 shows a city for arenas and sold out) which would give more of an opportunity for ppl to get to see them. either way i wish you all the luck when they do <3

-God they give actual dates for this game now, fucked up. Virtue's Last Reward takes place in like five years.

-Oh god there's a global pandemic in this game, fuck. This hits different in the 2020s. That reminds me, I got COVID vaccinated again and I feel great!

-i kind of love how mean these characters are to each other, it seems to be a consistent thing in every Chunsoft game that isn't Mystery Dungeon

-Uuuuuuuugh, god, this guy's fuckin scummy. My main character Sigma keeps being weird around women, treating them like eye candy and just generally just making uncomfortable remarks. I mentioned both here and during 999 how much I appreciated the raunch, but like this guy fucking sucks. You know, it was fun in 999 because Junpei and Akane were into each other and had actual chemistry, so this was like, flirting? But here it's just my player character being creepy, and it's like, eugh.

-I have tried out the Easy Mode on a puzzle I was stuck on, and I was right, the characters do give hints through dialogue if you do so. I'm pretty bummed that this is locked to easy mode, because it is genuinely solid characterization.

-But also, I thought I tried that solution! I guess I didn't try hard enough, or I did it subtly wrong in a way I didn't notice. I have a tendency to do that, like I struggle with math homework these days because I'm incredibly sloppy without realizing how sloppy I am.

-But this kind of Hard Mode approach is a clear attempt to approach Puzzle Game Problem #2 (There's no clean way to modulate difficulty in a game where the only measure of success is pass/fail). It's a scuffed approach, and definitely comes with sacrifices, but I get why it's there.

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I've written a ridiculous number of meet-cute/meet-weirds for Ronan and Adam, and I think it's because I really love the idea of them meeting for the first time, how will they react, what crazy circumstance will turn them into friends, enemies or lovers. I guess I really enjoy that first time one or the other thinks, "Oh. Yes. Him." That gets me right in my feels. And then I want to milk the comedy out of it.😏

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

I don't know! Do I have themes and imagery in my fics? If I do, it's unintentional and way above my skill level! 🤣 I think I might be known for coming up with zany ways of them meeting or falling for each other, and that gets ridiculous.

I didnt think I'd like the Legacy of the Sith story-stuff as much as I do.

I also LOVED having more of the story having the kotor-esque interfaces. I loooooooove having more dialogue options and knowing what my character will actually say. I would honestly take them over any of the voiced bits with that godawful dialogue wheel

I do kinda wish Onslaught was... Longer, I guess? I enjoyed the era of most of the dark council being Awful Women serving an Even Worse Woman. Empress Acina you are a legend. Petra Nihrum has caught my eye.

The story so far with Heta and the siblings isn't anything extraordinary but competently told. I'm having a nice time.

monet is just the perfect counterpart to julien honestly and like idk im liking it bc monet seems so unhinged after that whole fellout with her mom, so im really excited to see where it goes

ill be honest i just dont fully get the whole zoya and her dad plot, like in a way i feel like it all derives from the fact he is lying (which i get) but she is also too about hanging out with shan(which probably derives from the fact julien and nick are having a dad/daughter relationship and after being for a long time only daughter must be hard to share the attention but idk i just like why cant you just talk to one another??), after ep2 ending let’s see how this goes.

the throuple are my faves even tho i feel like these 2 eps was a repetition from the storyline last season, but now that they are all ready to be out, it’s going to be interesting how it develops (besides promo looks like it might not last which uuuuuuuugh but maybe it will? insert clown face) 

the whole teachers plot is fun but kinda meh at the same time so far, idk if im fully trust the russian literature dude
