personally don't really vibe with the whole 'actually erik isn't wanda and pietro's dad and they're not actually mutants' thing likeeeee....... synergy my BEHATED!!! (i also really dislike how over time there's been this like slow creep back of bobby's age during the O5 era. like. he was 16 in '63, idc what u say, but now they tend to clock him at like 13-14 imo which i ALSO really dislike but it's not as massive of a retcon so !?!?!!???? pietro + wanda win out tbh.)

been sitting on this bc there are so many different ways to think abt horror.. hard to imagine what an unpopular opinion is. i guess mostly that you can get a lot out of horror even if you dont know what's going on/dont have an intimate knowledge of how horror subgenres function/dont have symbol recognition for common horror shorthand. like. it's horror. at the end of the day it is just trying to reach inside you and spark a physiological reaction. if you pay attention to your feelings, if something scares or unsettles you, then you and the horror are acting on each other -- and if that's fun for you then that's the point, and if it's not you don't need it
