Subaru Impreza Electra One.
Super weapon Impreza Electra One armed with powerful aero
<First> The base is the STi version VI
<And> Limited time sale instead of limited number
<Also> Price is expected to be around 3.5 million yen
<Note> The exterior will be slightly changed
Various types of WRC-related special versions have been released so far, starting with the WRX STi version that can be said to be synonymous with the Impreza, which will undergo its first full model change in September. WRC Makes title won,
The V Limited, a commemorative model of the Colin McRae Champion, and the Limited Series, which are still on sale today, have been released almost every year. It can be said that the ultimate model is the 22B, which has the same width of 1770m as the WR car. This is a special model (released in 1989) that is coveted by enthusiasts.
However, until now, all the special versions of the Impreza have been related to the WRC, but this time it's a bit different. The impreza is finished with a racy feel, showing its extraordinary potential in circuit races, such as in the Super N1 endurance race.
It is That is the Impreza Electra One introduced this time. The Impreza has a strong image of the WRC, so it may feel a little different, but it has been decided that it will make its debut in early April as the model that decorates the end of the special version of the current Impreza! Impreza Electra one

Fierce front mask
The biggest feature is the round 4 headlights of the projector. The front mask that makes you imagine a ferocious cat-like animal is impressive. Wide open bonnet air intake, ultra-large air dam bumper is also a masterpiece

Road version of this coming.
This is the GT Championship version exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show. This one is more flashy, but this time it will be marketed with practicality!

5 new cars.
Announced in early April
It was exhibited as a reference at the Auto Salon. The concept of the Tokyo Motor Show version was that it was a GT machine for participating in the popular race, the JGTC (All Japan GT Championship). However, since this car was a racing machine, the practicality of the aero parts as a commercial car was disregarded, so it was unrealistic. The Auto Salon version brought it closer to a commercially available model. Look at this exterior! It radiates a powerful force that can be said to be more ferocious than any other domestically produced vehicle that has debuted so far. Exterior tuning that is a bit different from WRC.
Attention 2
Side view like a racing machine
Adoption of projector type independent round 4 headlights, hyena, lynx and

a typical face.
A front bumper spoiler integrated with a large air dam, side skirts that stand out on purpose, a towering rear spoiler (the same type as the limited series), and a rear bumper that can be said to be the same as a racing machine. Adoption of 17-inch tires for the first time in the Impreza is also fully conceivable. However, it will not be marketed as it is, and it seems that some shape etc. will be changed.
The base STi version show model was equipped with a high-power ECU, so more than 280 horsepower was expected, but there were no changes to the engine specs, and it remained at 280 horsepower/3500km.
The price is around 3.5 million yen, which is about 500,000 yen higher than the base model.
It will be for a limited period rather than a limited number of units, and BC expects the period to be three months from April to June.
The side skirts show a rather racy finish. Adoption of 17-inch tires is also fully possible. The overall length may be slightly longer depending on the shape of the aero parts.
Attention 3
Rear view with presence
The rear has a different impact than the front. Race
The rear bumper that can be said to be the engine itself is cool.
A large diameter muffler is also installed. The rear spoiler is the same type as the limited series

It sounds like you're interested in hearing about experiences related to Batangas State University 120th foundation. School foundations are organizations that support educational institutions by raising funds, providing resources, and offering various forms of assistance.
If you're looking for personal experiences, I'd be happy to share a general example. For instance, some individuals have volunteered or worked with school foundations, helping to organize fundraisers, manage finances, or even contribute their expertise in areas like marketing or event planning.

Best Hotel To Stay in Mumbai , Andheri East !
Mumbai has a distinct charm due to its magnificent juxtaposition of modernity and heritage, chaos and beauty, filth and glamour. The "City of Dreams" provides much more than what most people witnessed in the film "Slumdog Millionaire."
Mumbai certainly lives up to its moniker of rich aspirations, with old temples, medieval avenues, rows of gorgeous Art Deco structures, and a plethora of cultural activities.
With all of the hidden jewels to be discovered in this city's various nooks and crannies, it's easy to see why many consider Mumbai to be the best place to begin their adventure to India.
Most visitors agree that the winter months of November to February are the finest time to visit Mumbai. During this time, the temperature ranges from 17 to 28 degrees Celsius on average.
The summer months of March through May are equally great, albeit the temperature is a little warmer, averaging in the mid-20s to early 30s.
The months of June through October are the wet season, when Mumbai suffers heavy rains most days and floods many times per season..
There are some places which are must to visit when in mumbai:The Gateway of India
This 26-meter basalt gateway, built in 1911 as a welcoming gesture to King George V and Queen Mary, fascinates visitors with its stunning combination of Indo-Saracenic and Muslim architecture.
It is a renowned tourist and local destination in Mumbai, located on the banks of the Arabian Sea. Before and during sunset are the finest times to visit.
Marine Drive Baywalk
Do you want to walk around Mumbai? Then begin your journey on the 3.6-kilometre-long Marine Drive. On the other side, you can see the stunning sunset over the Arabian Sea and the timeless majesty of Art Deco buildings.
The best time to visit is likewise at sunset, and you should end your visit with a feast of Mumbai's street food.
Taj Mahal Palace Hotel
You can either stay here if you have extra travel money to spend or just take a wonderful snap as the hotel’s Renaissance Architecture is a photogenic subject. The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel’s windowed facade’s pattern and design make it a popular tourist destination. Afterwards, you can also check the hotel’s colonial-style restaurant or enjoy an afternoon tea at Sea Lounge.
Elephanta Caves
Elephanta Island, one hour by water from Mumbai, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Buddhist and Hindu caves dating back to the second century. Inside the complex, there are rock-cut cave openings devoted to Lord Shiva as well as a sprawling ruin ornamented with elaborate sculptures and columns. The presence of mischievous monkeys frolicking in the adjacent garden enhances your experience and makes it unique.
Ferry boats are provided near the Gateway of India, where tickets can also be purchased.
Most important Visit Film City and relive your favourite movie scenes.
To summarise, because there is so much to learn, this may be one of the best trips you've ever taken.
Ginger Hotels, which has three hotels located throughout the city, Ginger Mumbai Andheri East, Ginger Mumbai Andheri (MIDC), and Ginger Thane, provide one of the best affordable hotel alternatives when visiting Mumbai. They are considered of the best hotels in Mumbai  and the good part is that this 3 Star hotel is near Mumbai airport.  If you want to stay in the heart of Mumbai, Ginger Mumbai Andheri East is a great place to start exploring the city.
The Ginger Hotel in Andheri East is off the Western Express Highway and adjacent to the train station, the international airport, and the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The hotel is also close to the city's thriving corporate core on Andheri Kurla Road. It has 142 neatly decorated luxurious rooms with a plethora of modern services and amenities ideal for the on-the-go traveller. The hotel has an all-day cafe called Cafe Et Cetera, a fitness centre, a meeting space, and services like rapid laundry.
.Ginger Hotels has 50 locations in 32 places across the country, all of which offer upgraded amenities and services to their clients.
There are other great hotels that may fulfil your demands, but nothing compares to the Ginger Hotel's offerings. When a traveller chooses to stay at Ginger, they not only have all of their requirements addressed, but they also have access to round-the-clock assistance. Every traveller's request is carefully considered, and the hotel staff provides great and pleasant services to enhance the overall stay experience.

CapitaLand engages retail investors on merits of proposed restructuring at SIAS dialogue session
Singapore – CapitaLand held a virtual dialogue session with shareholders as part of its retail outreach for the proposed strategic restructuring and listing of CapitaLand Investment (CLI). More than 150 retail shareholders participated in the live virtual dialogue session on 28 July 2021, facilitated by the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS).
– With CapitaLand’s Group CEO Mr Lee Chee Koon (left) and Group CFO Mr Andrew Lim (right) engaged over 150 retail shareholders in a virtual dialogue session, facilitated by the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS). They highlighted the key rationale and benefits of the proposed transaction before addressing questions posed by Mr Robson Lee (middle), Assistant Honorary Secretary of SIAS, on behalf of CapitaLand retail shareholders:
Mr Lee Chee Koon, Group CEO of CapitaLand Group and Mr Andrew Lim, Group CFO of CapitaLand Group started the dialogue by highlighting the key rationale and benefits of the proposed transaction before addressing questions posed by Mr Robson Lee, Assistant Honorary Secretary of SIAS, on behalf of CapitaLand retail shareholders.
– With CapitaLand’s strong track record in growing fee income for its Fund and Lodging Management businesses, and disciplined capital recycling, CapitaLand is confident that the proposed restructuring will allow CLI shareholders to potentially benefit from the substantial long-term value that it aims to unlock. Pictured is Capital Tower and 79 Robinson Road, two assets that will come under CLI post-proposed transaction:
The following key points were raised at the session:
• Rationale for the proposed restructuring – Mr Lee said: “With our strong track record in growing fee income for our Fund and Lodging Management businesses, and our disciplined capital recycling, we are confident that CapitaLand’s proposed restructuring will allow CLI shareholders to potentially benefit from the substantial long-term value that we will aim to unlock.”
• CLI’s competitive advantage as a REIM with leadership in Asia – Mr Lee said: “CLI’s long standing presence in Asia will give us an edge over non-Asian based REIMs, drawing on our own heritage, history and strengths in Asia. We need to chart our own path, identity our areas of competitiveness, and become an asset manager that is globally competitive with a very strong foundation in Asia.”
• Asset-light lodging management platform a good fit for CLI – Mr Lim said: “The underlying principle of both platforms is the same – we are managing third-party capital and earning a fee. Therefore, these two capital efficient businesses are complementary, and a good fit for CLI.”
• Prudent dividend policy – Mr Lim said: “The management team has made the decision to keep our dividend policy unchanged for now, that is to declare a dividend of at least 30% of our cash PATMI. This is for two reasons. One, to give our current shareholders, and hopefully shareholders of CLI going forward, a familiar reference. Two, we are cognisant that we are emerging from a difficult operating environment caused by the pandemic. We are in a period of recovery, which while positive, remains uncertain. The management team has thus elected to maintain an unchanged dividend policy for CLI in the near term.”
– CapitaLand’s strong reputation in Asia, with over 20 years of experience in markets including Singapore, China, India and Vietnam, gives it the ability to access different investment opportunities. The opening of Raffles City The Bund (pictured), CapitaLand’s third Raffles City development in Shanghai, affirms the Group’s commitment to grow its presence and investor base in China by leveraging the signature Raffles City brand:
– CLI will consolidate the Group’s investment management and lodging businesses, both of which are capital-efficient. As the lodging platform continues to scale towards the planned target of 160,000 units under management by FY 2023, it expects to contribute materially to CLI’s overall earnings on a recurring basis. Somerset Feliz Ho Chi Minh City (pictured) opened in July 2021, adding to Ascott’s growing global portfolio and further strengthening its position as a leading international lodging owner-operator:

Travel to Holguin, explore this part of Cuba in 2021.
Tumblr media
Located in the warm Caribbean Sea, the island of Cuba is a major tourist destination, where Havana and Varadero, share almost half of the visitors who arrive each year. However there are other places that stand out, today I will show you how to travel to Holguin and what you will find in 2021. You will discover a region that has everything to satisfy the most diverse tastes: beautiful beaches, excellent hotels, biodiversity, history, culture, safety (childproof), and a friendly and polite population. That magical town is called Holguín, and it is located in the northeastern part of Cuba. Although it does not have the glamour of Havana, the history of Santiago de Cuba, or the exclusivity of the beaches of Varadero and Cayo Largo, little by little it has been positioning itself as the third most important Cuban tourist destination.
Tumblr media
Holguín Boulevard, one of the most popular sites in the city. Photo credit: Manuel de Nacimiento. According to the Statistical Yearbook of Holguín, published by the National Statistics and Information Office (ONEI), a total of 439,464 tourists travelled to Holguin in 2019. Let's close our eyes and take an imaginary journey through the region. This way you can find the answer to the question that gives this article its name. Related link: - Best rated experiences in Holguín - Get Your Guide. Interesting:On January 18, 1752, in the presence of all the neighbors the Marshal Arcos and Moreno made to record in order of date and years indicated that obeying to orders of the King of Spain he gave the title of City to San Isidoro de Holguín, being able to enjoy in front of all the privileges, honors and proper franchises of these institutions.
Travel to Holguin: how to get there
Frank País International Airport is only 10 kilometers from the city, and also has a terminal for domestic flights to Havana and Santiago de Cuba. Built in 1996, it is considered a medium-sized airport, capable of handling a flow of up to 1,000 incoming and outgoing passengers. In 2020, the runway was resurfaced to receive large aircraft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkhEXpJvJ84 It offers car rental services, cafeterias, travel agencies, medical and currency exchange services, specialized services for the handicapped, duty free stores and VIP lounge. A total of 13 airlines connect Holguín with cities in all continents except Asia and Africa. Among them are: Jet Blue, Air Canada, Arkefly, Belair, Blue Panorama, Condor, Monarch, and Neos. To get to the main city, cabs are readily available at a cost of approximately 15 USD. But if you are a sailor in search of adventure, Holguín offers you the Marina Internacional Puerto de Vita. This port, located only 40 kilometers from the city, has 38 berths and all the necessary amenities. It is also the starting point for catamaran excursions, fishing trips, diving and jet ski rides.

Loma de la Cruz, in Holguín, is a viewpoint of important tourist interest.
Holguin, the City of Parks
The existence of more than 70 parks in the perimeter of the city has earned it that title and is the first thing you will notice when you travel to Holguin. Although if you ask any Cuban, or a foreigner who knows the city well, he or she will surely tell you that its main distinguishing feature, besides the Loma de la Cruz, is the cleanliness and straightness of its streets. They will also tell you that in spite of the distance that separates it from the capital, its inhabitants are lovers of good art and that they have the privilege of having one of the three Lyric Theaters of Cuba, the famous Rodrigo Prats, one of the best dance companies, Codanza, and the Chamber Ballet of Holguín. So, if you wish to enjoy lyrical singing, contemporary dance or ballet, in Holguín you will not lack options. The presentations take place mainly in the beautiful Eddy Suñol Theater and in the different hotels of the northern coast.

The city's ancient architecture is one of its greatest charms. However, if your thing is not classic, don't worry, we also have Discotheques, Cabarets, Bars, Cafes and Night Clubs. The city's nights are very lively, especially between Friday and Sunday. Names such as El Nocturno and Bariay, open-air cabarets in the style of the world-famous Tropicana, as well as El Pétalo, Shambalá, El Benny, Pico Cristal, El Siboney, Jazz Club, Piano Bar or Las Tres Lucias, are widely known nationwide. There are cultural events that have acquired international renown: the May Pilgrimages and the Vladimir Malakhov Dance Competition and Grand Prix of the North Atlantic. The Romerías de Mayo is an important traditional popular festival. The Romerías are celebrated at the beginning of May, and although originally a religious festivity, they have become an international Youth Festival. Concerts, street theater, photographic exhibitions and works of art, dance shows, and poetry are continuously happening during a fun week. Moreover, since 2014, the famous Ukrainian dancer Vladimir Malakhov (First Dancer and Director of the Berlin Opera Ballet), has established together with the local dance company Codanza, an International Ballet and Dance Competition that attracts numerous visitors from abroad and from other cities of the island. This year, it will be held in September, albeit virtually due to the presence of COVID 19.
Gastronomy, Habanos and cycle tourism on your travel to Holguin
Tumblr media
Hotel Iberostar Selection is a popular accommodation in Holguín. Gastronomy in Holguin To taste the local flavors, the city has about 30 restaurants that offer delicious dishes of Creole and international cuisine. Prices range from 10 to 20 USD in private establishments. Keep in mind that 1 U.S. dollar is currently traded in the informal market for 50 Cuban pesos.Tweet State-owned establishments are more economical, although they generally have less variety and quality in their offerings. Payment is made in local currency. Based on Tripadvisor surveys, popular opinion, and my personal experience, I have compiled a list of the 10 best restaurants in Holguin in 2020: - Restaurante Bar 1910 - La Pasión - Delicias Cubanas - Ranchón Los Almendros - Maragato - Restaurante Bar Parrillada San José - La Torre - La Bodeguita del Medio - Avilés - Noi Due https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aubiEDB5LPM Habanos Cigars in Holguin Inhaling the smoke of the famous Cuban cigars can be harmful, but it is the ambition of many tourists. In Holguín, it is possible to visit an important cigar factory located in the center of the city. In addition to seeing how they are manufactured, you can also buy them at advantageous prices. There is no shortage of major brands: Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta, Montecristo, Partagás and Hoyo de Monterrey. The factory produces 16 million units annually and uses as raw material the leaves harvested in Pinar del Rio, the mecca of Havana cigars. Related link: - Top 5 experiences in Holguín - Get Your Guide. - What to do in Holguín - Vigorous Ways. Cycling when you travel to Holguin A tourist sport activity that has developed rapidly in the region is bicycle tourism. The well-asphalted road that links Holguín with the seaside resort of Guardalavaca guarantees a safe trip full of beautiful landscapes. The 54 kilometers of mostly straight and flat roads lead to the paradisiacal beaches of the north-eastern coast, famous for their white sands, warm waters and all-inclusive hotels.
Tumblr media
The beautiful Pesquero Beach should be one of the places you cannot miss on your trip to Holguín. The town of Sao Arriba is located just 11 kilometers from the start of the trip. If you are passionate about mountain biking, you will find trails and paths that cross the picturesque region: hills, rivers, caves, pure nature. After traveling the first 30 kilometers, and always turning off to the left side of the road, we will first find Playa Blanca, famous for witnessing the arrival of Admiral Christopher Columbus to Cuba, Don Lino, Vita Bay, Playa Pesquero, Naranjo Bay, and Playa Esmeralda.
Beaches and All Inclusive Hotels in Holguin
If there is something that differentiates hotels in Holguín from those in the rest of the country, it is the quality of service. Professionalism, responsibility and experience are evident as soon as you arrive: speed, command of several foreign languages, friendliness and empathy towards the client. You can choose among the 14 hotels that serve the region's beaches. Four of them are 5-star hotels: Paradisus Rio de Oro (for couples only), Playa Pesquero (the largest hotel in Cuba), the brand-new Iberostar Selection and the recently built Hotel Almirante. The rest are 4 stars except Villa Don Lino with 3 stars.
Tumblr media
Hotel Paradisus Rios de Oro, in Holguin, Cuba. Interesting:With a cost of only 2.00 USD per pax, and three daily frequencies, comfortable buses travel between the different hotels, Guardalavaca, La Aldea Taina, and the Naranjo Bay Dolphinarium. A must visit site is the Aboriginal Cemetery and the Taino Village. There you can discover our pre-Columbian history in a museum located on the remains of an ancient indigenous cemetery. It exhibits 56 of the 180 skeletons found to date. The village recreates the environment of an aboriginal tribe from 5 centuries ago: dwellings, 38 human sculptures, work tools, recreational objects, clothing, etc. Are you bored spending all your time at the hotel? No problem, the different Travel Agencies propose excursions through sales points in each establishment. Don't forget that the province has a total of 17 protected natural areas, including two national parks: Bahía de Naranjo and La Mensura.
Tumblr media
Jeep Safari Adventour is one of the best-selling excursions. These are 10 of the most popular excursions: - Jeep Safari Adventour - Crucero del Sol - Catamarán Gibara - Cayo Saetía en Catamarán - Baño con Delfines en el Acuario Bahía de Naranjo - Cayo Bariay - Aldea Taina - Island Paradise - Ocean Paradise - Jeep Safari Salto del Guayabo. These and other excursions may be available through Get Your Guide, a secure site where you can book quality experiences.
Tumblr media
Although we are discovering the beach hotels, it is worth mentioning that there are three very good hotels in the city, located in old and centrally located buildings that have been very well restored: El Caballeriza, Esmeralda, and El Saratoga. The latter was inaugurated in 2020. Private accommodations are also a good option, but this will be the subject of another article. We hope you already know why it is worth taking as you travel to Holguin‼. Read the full article

Rangers out Europa League after Leverkusen loss
Tumblr media
Moussa Diaby raced obvious of James Tavernier to manufacture with aplomb on the initiate of the 2d half of
Bayer Leverkusen ended Rangers’ 13-month Europa League hasten from the first qualifying spherical to the last 16 with a simple preserve halt in Germany.
Main 3-1 from the first leg at Ibrox on 12 March, Peter Bosz’s aspect had been frequently ever timid in an empty BayArena.
Kai Havertz hit the bar, slid a shot extensive, and had an effort saved however it used to be Moussa Diaby’s alert flee and manufacture that broke the deadlock.
The Germans now face Inter Milan in Monday’s quarter-closing in Dusseldorf.
Response & because it came about
Rangers – with Brandon Barker initiating sooner than Ianis Hagi – regarded to danger the crew that executed fifth in the Bundesliga on the break. Nevertheless alternatives had been scarce.
A heavy contact by Alfredo Morelos spurned an early opening, and it used to be 21-year-broken-down German world Havertz who went closest in the first half of, clipping Allan McGregor’s crossbar with an angled snapshot and sliding a shot narrowly extensive when one on one with the Rangers goalkeeper.
Leverkusen, playing their first match since shedding the German Cup closing to Bayern Munich on 4 July, had been tidy in possession and threatened with balls thru Rangers’ central defence.
Had it not been for a Filip Helander block from Florian Wirtz’s shot after a four-on-three attack, Rangers would have trailed on the break.
Diaby broke the stalemate in 51 minutes when he scampered obvious of James Tavernier and on to Charles Aranguiz ball sooner than finishing high previous McGregor.
The old goalkeeper weak his left foot to save beautifully from Havertz soon after sooner than Rangers’ easiest likelihood – Connor Goldson having a header cleared off the road by Edmond Tapsoba.
That used to be as genuine because it bought for Gerrard’s aspect, though, as a campaign that started with a preserve halt over St Joseph’s in Gibraltar on 9 July last year fizzled out.
Man of the match – Charles Aranguiz
The Chile midfielder (number 20) scored in the first leg at Ibrox and prompted Rangers additional distress alongside with his energy, tricky tackling and his ideal pass for Diaby’s impartial. He also stung McGregor’s fingers with a bulleted header from eight yards, though any impartial don’t have stood owing to an earlier defective
What did we be taught?
The two-impartial deficit meant development to the last eight used to be continuously going to be a colossal reveal. Gerrard had hoped the streak of Brandon Barker and Ryan Kent could danger Leverkusen, however the Germans’ passing used to be too slick and no Rangers participant could impose himself ample to change the course of the tie.
In-ask striker Morelos might have performed his last game for Rangers. He scored six of his crew’s 13 targets in the marathon campaign, however in Germany he supplied few glimpses of his earlier hazard. Gerrard will list new strikers Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten in his 2020/21 Europa League squad, however funds raised from a sale of Morelos might perhaps be properly spent on including thrust and creativity to the midfield.
Alfredo Morelos’s performances in the Europa League have helped to attract interest in him however he had a forgettable evening in Leverkusen
Rangers competed admirably in the match in opposition to groups from Poland, Holland and Portugal however came unstuck in opposition to the crew that executed fifth in the Bundesliga, exhibiting the energy of one amongst Europe’s top leagues.
What did they recount?
Rangers supervisor Steven Gerrard (talking to BT Sport): “We’re upset with the final result. I manufacture not mediate we stumbled on our level or efficiency to give it a genuine proceed tonight. Primarily most likely the greatest aspect won the game and the most simple aspect struggle thru. There’s plenty we are in a position to toughen on and plenty we are in a position to work on transferring ahead and now we have stumbled on a level tonight to strive for. Confidently in the future we are in a position to salvage to that level.”
Match stats
Rangers lost each and every legs of a European tie for the first time since the 1997-98 Uefa Cup first spherical in opposition to Strasbourg.
Leverkusen have won four consecutive Europa League games – their easiest flee in the competition since February 1995. It is the first time have reached the last eight since 2007-08.
Rangers did not strive a single shot in the first half of. Their first strive of any kind came with Goldson’s 71st-minute header.
Dilapidated 17 years and 95 days, Wirtz became the youngest participant to characteristic for Leverkusen in a European tie, surpassing Havertz (17y 144d v Tottenham in the Champions League in November 2016).

Vysehrad Castle: National Cultural Monument of Prague
Tumblr media
Vysehrad Castle is one of the most important iconic landmarks of Prague directly connected with the history of both the city and Czech nation. In Czech, Vysehrad Castle stands for the upper castle. When you visit the Vysehrad Castle you will see that it is located over a huge rock block. Castle is also known as the Vysehrad Fortress and it is located about 3 km south of the Prague Castle, on the eastern side of the Vltava river. Vysehrad became a national symbol during the 1800s and the Vysedrad Cemetry also became the final resting place for the most famous Cezch. Vysehrad Castle is a bit far away from a couple of popular spots of Prague like Wenceslas Square, Dancing House, Old Town Square and Jewish Quarter (Josefov) but be sure that it is definitely worth to visit. Especially if you want to discover the glorious history of Prague and Cezch nation. Also, don't forget to enjoy the stunning views of the Vysedrads.

Vysehrad Castle: A Royal Fortress
Based on the historical documents, history of the Vysehrad Castle dates back to the 10th century. We started to see the first information about the castle during the reign of Vratislaus II who was the first King of Bohemia in 1085. The bishop of Prague moved to the seat of the archbishop from Prague Castle to Vysehrad because of endless conflict between him and his little brother, Jaromir. During the reign of King Vraislaus II and his successors Vysehrad was a very important place for Prague. A couple of iconic buildings were constructed on the hill like The Romanesque Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul and Rotunda of St. Martin. Also, a surrounding wall around the Vyshedrad Castle was built. But from 1140 after the reign of the Vladislaus II, Vysehrad started to lose its importance for the city. Because he moved back the throne to back to the Prague Castle.  During the Roman Reign: Charles IV From the beginning of the 14th century, The Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV started to build the Prague Castle. At the same, the Vysehrad Castle fully abandoned as a royal seat. But in the following years, whole Vysehrad Castle complex completely removed by the Charles IV with new gates, fortifications and royal palace constructions. During the Hussite wars, Vysehrad invaded and ransacked by Hussites in 1420 and Podebrady King George in 1448. After the war, Vysehrad Castle was abandoned and almost fully ruined, stayed in vain until the 17th century. Habsburg Monarchy took over the Czech and the Thirty Years War, they were totally renowned the Vysehrad Castle in the Baroque way on 1654. National Symbol of Czech As a result of changing world, the strategic importance of the Vysehrad Castle faded after the second half of the 19th century. But its meaning and importance for the Czech even became stronger and more important.  On this occasion, Václav Štulc and Mikuláš Karlac had enormous effect who were very important writers of Czech history. Because they managed to convert the Vysedrad Castle to a national symbol by stories of Queen Libuse, Czech myths, Women's War and more. Also, the establishment of a national cemetery on the over a ruined one increase the significance of the site in 1893. Since then, most of the important Cezch figures buried there. Today, Vysehrad Castle is the place where the history, culture and myths of the Czech nation meet where is definitely worth to visit. I try to summarize as short as possible the history of Vyhedrad Castle. I know it's quite complicated but also interesting. I'm going to give information about the places in the Vysehrad Castle must visit during your time in Prague.

Towards Artistic Greatness in Five Movements
Tumblr media
The ten year journey to ‘The Great Exodus’, a new solo exhibition by Ronald Muchatuta. By Valeria Geselev
 Movement I
If you ask Ronald Muchatuta for his bio, it will begin with a movement. “Muchatuta is a Zimbabwean-born contemporary artist currently residing in Cape Town. He specializes in drawing, painting and mosaic. He began his career at the age of 16 as a pottery decorator at Ros Byrne Pottery in Harare, Zimbabwe. After being mentored at Gallery Delta in Harare and finishing his fine art exams through National Gallery of Zimbabwe, he relocated to South Africa in 2007 to pursue a career as an artist.”
Movement II
Ronald’s first solo exhibition in Cape Town was held in 2014 at Greatmore Studios in Woodstock suburb, the home of his artistic self in the past three years. Tall, dark and quiet Ronald could be found at his Greatmore studio at all hours.
During the weekend or late at night you could hear Nina Simone blasting from the speakers in his tiny clustered studio. His fine tunes were competing only with the sounds of hip hop in the yard, where Khaya Witbooi worked. If Greatmore were giving away an award to the most hard-working resident artist, the two would have to share the trophy.
In January this year, Ronald had to clear his studio, with its sound-system, and move out as his lease has expired.
Movement III
Greatmore’s rent is an exceptional deal in a town of gentrified real-estate prices. Any other studio would cost up to five times more to rent. So Ronald moved his studio into his home, a bachelor flat on Kloof Street.
That’s where BBC came to shoot an interview with him. The international interest in his art was triggered by his previous series of works, ‘Children of the Necklace’, depicting humans whose skin is of a Chinese bag pattern – powerful commentary on xenophobia. The interview was aired on tv screens across the globe in May, putting the ‘BBC World’ seal on Ronald as “the African foreigner artist”.
“People expect great things to come out of that exposure” he says. After taking part in about 50 exhibitions, in South Africa, Zimbabwe, France, England, United States  and Italy; being selected to residencies; winning awards and big corporate commissions; Ronald knows better than to buy into the promises that come with exposure. “The big galleries ignore me. I have no expectations to be approached. Once a friend made a joke, saying you will never be respected as an artist in South Africa because you are a fucking foreigner. I made a painting with that title. There is freedom that comes with being independent artist – you can choose what you make and who you sell it to. Cape Town has platforms for artists to express themselves and find their way out through the cracks regardless of the racial tensions and economic hardships.”
Racial tensions and economic hardships are well felt in one of the many coffee shops down the road from his flat-now-turned-studio. Here fellow Zimbabweans are assigned the roles of waiters, as part of the compartmentalised South African economy. “Everything here is segregated. Somalis work in spaza shops, Zimbabweans are waiters, Congolese are doormen. You don’t see Nigerians working in restaurants. You don’t see groups overlapping.  I want to explore who controls this narrative. White Capitalists are using cheap labour from the African continent to navigate the conflict with local black people” says Ronald.
He will dedicate his next solo show to the economics of migration. He booked well in advance the August-September slot in the main exhibition hall of AVA (Association of Visual Arts) gallery. The local art-world has great expectations from the incoming migration of income to spill over from the opening of MOCAA  - the Mecca of art collectors - in September.
Movement IV
As the exhibition date approaches, negotiations of a new studio space rise and fall, Ronald hears through the grapevine of Greatmore alumni about a temporary studio in Bo Kaap, and moves there. As we go uphill in the stiff narrow road he comments that the daily climb is good for his health. As with many spots in Cape Town, the pilgrim’s effort is rewarded with magnificent views.
Nina Simone will have to wait for a permanent solution, no loud music is allowed here. Her wait and his relief will not last long, as the space will be “re-developed” by its new owners soon and Ronald will have to move again. In the meantime he draws music. “An artist friend declared one of my new drawings to look like jazz - moody with character”.
Not being able to escape the theme of migration (and isn’t an escape too a form of migration?), Ronald instead goes deeper. His work becomes more personal. Taking shape in the temporary shelter of creation are multiple Ronalds – as he skilfully sculpts his own face again and again. Later he mosaics around the heads and draws tags on his/their foreheads – “ fucking foreigner”, “darkie”, “kwerekwere”, “underdog”, “cheater”. It’s more emotional than a mere reflection on geo-politics.
Tumblr media
“Part of the body of work is putting in personal elements of me. Each and every head that is painted black has something negative written on it. Since I am talking about migration, I’m trying to figure out how to put in my personal story - where does Ronald fit in this body of work?”
Movement V
“I don’t want to talk about local politics, but it is in my work. There is a lot of pain. It’s an honest work with a lot of emotions. The previous work was looking from a distance. Here I dive into my nature and see things from an intimate position. The dense and potent narrative is balanced by the medium – a playful mix of mosaic and drawing. I am pushing the mosaic form and exploring the 3D element”.
Unlike many of his contemporary fellow artists, Ronald invests equal effort in skill development as in conceptual growth. He is not looking for shortcuts – instead he believes in perfecting the craft, in building up towards artistic greatness. He buys stacks of art history books – reading of the Masters, studying hard when taking a break from working hard. “I am concerned with the question what makes a great artist. Today my answer is – a work that is produced with honesty, bravery and introspection”.
On 17th August the exhibition which he worked on since the beginning of this year has opened for public at AVA Gallery in Cape Town. He gave it the title “The Great Exodus” – to mark his tenth year anniversary in South Africa. With over 60 new works Ronald is celebrating a decade of art-making in a place where he still is labelled as an outsider. “There are artists in South Africa who do great work, but the department of Arts and Culture doesn’t put a foot forward to assist and elevate these people, because they are seen as foreign nationals”.
The exhibition “The Great Exodus” will be on show from 17 August to 20 September at AVA Gallery.

THEATER / 2018-2019
CARTOGRAPHY
TEACHER AND PARENT GUIDE
World premiere Kennedy Center co-commission Written by Christopher Myers Directed by Kaneza Schaal
Student Guide: Cartography
Tumblr media
Parents, Teachers, and Caregivers: Get the Conversation Going
Human migration is an ongoing theme in human history. Whether the people on the move have been refugees fleeing war or natural disaster, or migrants relocating somewhere they hope will offer greater opportunity, much of humanity’s story has been about people seeking a new home in a new land.
Today’s stories of refugees and migrants are no different. Cartography, written by Christopher Myers and directed by Kaneza Schaal, invites people to make the connection. “I really want young people to see themselves in that context, whether their stories are personal or farther back in their family’s history,” says Myers. (You can find an interview with Myers below.)
For this production, 2700 F St. invites teachers, parents, and caregivers to take a break from interpreting “the big picture” of today’s news coverage about refugees and migrants, coverage that often presents these people and their circumstances in simplistic ways. Instead, we can let the documentary voices of young people onstage speak directly to young people in the audience.
This adult guide is designed to facilitate the start of a conversation.
The Human Journey
The play Cartography is one in a series of programs in The Human Journey, a season-long artistic collaboration among The Kennedy Center, National Geographic Society, and National Gallery of Art. These identified performances and exhibits invite audiences to investigate human experience through the performing arts, science, and visual art.
Cartography features all of the main themes that form the framework for The Human Journey project—namely migration, exploration, identity, and resilience. These four themes are described here:
Migration is the movement of people from one place to another, whether by force or choice, in search of a better living situation. “This movement of people has historically brought together cultures from around the globe, shrinking our planet and bringing the cultural identities that define us into sharper focus,” said Tracy Wolstencroft, chairman and CEO of the National Geographic Society.
Exploration is the human endeavor to discover and better understand the world. The urge to discover can mean turning inward to reveal the mysteries of human biology and psychology, outward to explain secrets of our planet and universe, or toward each other to untangle the jumble of humanity and its relationships and social systems.
Identity relates to how we see ourselves and others, and how we form and apply ideas about who we are. In Cartography, this theme is central as the identities of these young refugees leave their familiar lives and cultures behind.
Resilience describes our ability to endure and function, especially under pressure and stress. Cartography dramatizes the various ways the characters stay strong and hopeful under life-churning circumstances.
With migration and refugees frequently in today’s news, the central ideas of The Human Journey programs are very relevant. Keeping them in mind can help us relate the stories in Cartography to our own lives.

A Different “Kind” of Theater
Cartography is a type of theater known as “devised documentary theater.” This style of stage performance is developed by a collective where performers collaborate and improvise on specific topics or themes—that’s the devised part. For example, the director may call out a word and have the performers act out their responses. As a group, they see and discover effective scenes and onstage moments and craft them into a script. New York’s Wooster Group and Elevator Repair Service are two well-known theater companies that specialize in devised theater.
“Documentary theater” draws on news stories and interviews with real people. The performance dramatizes a story by portraying events, sometimes using people’s actual words. Documentary theater includes “investigative theater” that is based on investigative/exploratory journalism. The Laramie Project (2000)—which recounts the murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard based on interviews with people in Laramie, Wyoming—is a frequently produced example. “Verbatim theater” is another form of documentary theater, performed using only the words of people interviewed. The works of Anna Deavere Smith are examples, including Fires in the Mirror and Notes from the Field.
Using Open-ended Questions
To set the tone for discussions with young people, consider sharing something from your personal experience that relates to the play and its themes. The intention is to start conversations and keep them going. However, avoid putting any students on the spot about their own identity or family history.
You can use open-ended questions to help students spot details they may have missed, to dive deeper into the play’s content and themes, and engage with potentially controversial content that may come up in discussions such as issues of religion, race, and poverty. When necessary, encourage students to back up their interpretations or views with supporting evidence from the play itself or a trustworthy third-party source.
Here are several open-ended points of discussion to consider:
Have students describe the set of Cartography and how it is used.
As a collaborative exercise, recount notable moments in the performance: What got your attention or surprised you?
How did you feel when the cast left the stage and interacted with audience members?
What new information or ideas came to mind by the end of the performance?
What are examples of major human migrations in history? What factors contributed to them?
Before the Show
Along with your young people, discuss and decide how they want to prepare for attending Cartography. First stop, review the Student Guide with them. Then ask: What do they already know about human migration? What more would they like to learn? Do they want to research their family’s own migration history? Are they interested in the asylum process? Do they want to learn more about documentary theater? Would they like to take an online tour of the Kennedy Center?
Consider following their lead on how they want to prepare, from theater etiquette and stagecraft to background research on human migration to themes in Cartography. Below are some ready resources to draw on.
After the Show
Collaborate with your students or young people to determine how they want to process the play afterward. Let them brainstorm ways to get the most out of the experience and make the subject relevant to them. Do they want to go deeper into the play’s themes? Talk about acting and stagecraft? Learn more about migration and refugees in their community or state?
The Student Guide
Revisit the two sections from the Student Guide: “Check This Out…” and “Think About This….” Use them to stir discussion about the production, scenes in the play, and its characters and themes.
Consider Activities on Three Main Themes in Cartography
Cartography zeroes in on three main themes, or big ideas: Migration, Home, and the Role of Storytelling. Review activities in the “Take Action” section of the Student Guide, such as creative writing, geography, and artistic projects that students can use to explore these ideas in relation to their own lives. These themes overlap with those of the Human Journey series: migration, exploration, identity, and resilience.
The activities in the Take Action section of the Student Guide are designed to be easily scalable for a diversity of learning styles and/or abilities. For example, the acrostic poem exercise can use shorter words and the identity collage activity can be presented with a limited scope, say five pictures and five favorite things.
A Classroom of Pen Pals
Refugees and detained asylum-seekers face a long and often lonely road as they seek to start a new life in a new land. Receiving a letter in the mail can be a highlight of their day, even from someone they may never meet. To find out how your young people can use their writing to connect with other young people who could use a friend, check out: https://www.care.org/get-involved/letters-hope.
Q & A with Christopher Myers
Tumblr media
Christopher Myers is an American author and illustrator of children’s books. His illustrations in Harlem won a Caldecott Honor in 1998, and Black Cat earned a Coretta Scott King Award in 2000. He has illustrated and/or written some 20 books and is also a visual artist who designs clothing. Cartography is his first play. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, but travels worldwide. You can visit his website at https://www.kalyban.com.
Kennedy Center: How did the idea for Cartography take shape?
Christopher Myers: In 2016, there was a massive influx of refugees into Europe from Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Eritrea, West Africa. I was spending time at the International Youth Library in Munich, Germany, and that area was receiving thousands of refugees every day. I had this thought, that while there was obviously a need for social services, there was also a need for storytellers, too. The act of migration is an act of storytelling, an imagination of a future, a rewriting of the past. Storytelling is central to the process of moving, and it is essential that alongside medical assistance and social assistance that we think about the stories that have drawn our borders and our needs to cross them.
The library provided space and support for myself and my collaborator Kaneza Schaal to talk with and work with these young refugees. They ranged from 11 to 17 years old and came from all across the world.
KC: What role did director Kaneza Schaal play in developing the play?
CM: Kaneza is an ideal collaborator. We were working with young people who spoke Arabic, Pashto, French, and other languages, and communication presented its own challenges. But Kaneza brought the language of theater and performance which is more than just words—it’s movement and action and sound and images. She created a framework to allow these young people from a mix of cultures to express whatever they wanted to say. It was her idea that we could build a community around the conversations we had seen the need for in Munich, take the work we were doing outside the walls of the library, and that her art form, theater, would be an ideal way to do that. Our process is very collaborative. I write scenes and texts and then bring them to her and she asks for more or less, hones the vision of the piece, brings the team of performers together, makes the piece truly breathe as theater, and not just as words on a page.
KC: The importance of stories is a recurring theme in the play. Why is storytelling important, especially for refugees?
CM: These young people urgently wanted to share the stories about their lives, and I think young people in general are desperate for stories—to tell as well as hear them. In a very real sense, they all are in the process of writing their own.
What I found is that, more than most people, these young people must contend with stories being told about them in newspapers and other news coverage. They, themselves, rarely have a chance to tell about their experiences. Journalism is important, but it can have a flattening effect on the human side of the experience of being a refugee or migrant. It has a way of erasing their individuality and humanity. That’s why I say it’s important to have storytellers on the front lines of any crisis, to shape both our human reaction to the crisis, and to shape our understanding of the people who are undergoing such radical change in their own lives.
In the end, we are the sum total of the stories that have come before us and the stories we tell about our futures. That’s true of anyone. We’re also hungry for stories to help us make sense of what’s happening to us and around us. For a young person, it’s about having the opportunity and ability to write the next chapter of their lives, and by developing this show we want to have a part in that. Storytelling is a source of empowerment. If you don’t write your own story, someone will come along and write it for you.
There was a young man from Syria. I asked him what he wanted me to bring back to the world from our time working together. He told me he didn’t want to be invisible anymore. He wanted us to make a place for people in crisis like himself to be seen.
KC: Often, we don’t think of the stories of refugees as having much humor in them, and yet there are laugh-out-loud moments in the show. Were you surprised at all by the jokes and humor shared by the young people you worked with?
CM: I think too often when we create art about people in crisis, we focus on the crisis and not the people. So many people who I’ve met, who are going through a crisis have had a way of finding the humor. Humor is a kind of a way out, an escape or safety valve. Humor is how we fully acknowledge the challenges we face but still give ourselves agency.
These young people we worked with used humor as a tool. They are not simply poster children with tears in their eyes. We want nothing more from this piece than to remind ourselves and our audience of the personalities behind the statistics.
KC: You have mainly written and illustrated children’s books in the past. Why create Cartography as a play?
CM: Theater has all kinds of unique storytelling devices. It combines light and sound, spoken words and action. It can communicate in ways that pictures and the written word can’t. These stories are better told on stage.
Every theater audience is an instant community. It gives us a chance to think about these and other issues as a community and not just as individuals, and that is super important to Kaneza and me.
KC: Stories of human migration run throughout human history. Why is this show particularly timely now?
CM: Everyone has a story of migration in their past. My grandfather came to the United States from Germany in the 1920s. Kaneza’s family fled strife and genocide in Rwanda. We are all on the continuum of migration; we are all part of this story.
Movement is part of what it means to be human. It helps us see our place in the grand scheme of things and in relation to each other. I really want young people to see themselves in that context, whether their stories are personal or farther back in their family’s history.
I was visiting an art museum in Germany with Makhtar, a boy from Mali [in West Africa]. And there was this painting from the 1700s of Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus. I explained it was the story of their flight into Egypt. They were fleeing great violence. Makhtar looked at that painting, that story, and said, “They were refugees, too.”
This interview has been edited for clarity.
Data Bank
Here are a handful of graphs to help you and students examine the context and the bigger picture of migration patterns. They present some of the numbers behind the news coverage as well as the play.
A clear definition of what constitutes a refugee was adopted after World War II as part of the United Nations’s 1951 Refugee Convention. According to Article 1(A) of the convention, a refugee is a person:
who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country; or who, not having a nationality and being outside the country of his former habitual residence as a result of such events, is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it.
Today, there are more than 63 million refugees in the world, according to the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees. That figure surpasses the estimated 60 million Europeans displaced during World War II (1939-1945).
