Hello! Welcome to my AU, Lives Worth Living! Spoilers for the full game and two hats below the break.

Quick introduction to the concept of this AU:

It's been 30 years since the events of the game. The party eventually disbanded to form their own lives, though remaining in each other's now and again at least. Skipping the ones I've answered previously, if you're interested in scrolling back for them! 14. that one thing you see in fics all the time So much Mando'a for the clones. 😭 And I don't object to it inherently, it's more that I want to glance askance at people and go, "We know this is totally made up by the fans, right? That the clones never have anything to do with Mandalore in TCW, right?" before people being perfectly right to keep doing what they find interesting and fun! 17. there should be more of this type of fic/art Soooooo many things, as always, there should be more That's Him That Motherfucker What A Tool!Obi-Wan content who is the knife cat meme personification. There should be more Obitine fic that explores that they're both all right with the choices they've made, that they loved each other, but they would also both choose their respective duties over their relationship, and they want those duties. There should be more fic of the "merry band of brats" (YADDLE LITERALLY CALLED THEM THIS) of Obi-Wan, Siri, Bolla, and Prie as chaos goblin younglings! I would also accept the trio of Obi-Wan & Quinlan & Luminara as late teenagers being trouble magnets together, the kind where it's always those three when something explodes in the distance. I will also die on the hill of Plo & Shaak & Kit being a chaos gremlin trio when they were Padawans as well. Christ alive what I wouldn't do for more Mace fic that focuses on either his time as Yoda's Padawan or his time with Depa or, in a No Jedi Genocide AU, as a benevolent awful "you reap what you sow" Master as Depa takes on Caleb. 23. ship you’ve unwillingly come around to You know, I thought I would hate it, but I've read a couple of really solidly fun Kylo/Rose fics and they just fully dragged me kicking and screaming into that I kind of genuinely ship it now. I feel like both sides of fandom are going to tar and feather me for it. orz

man the entire AI art debate thing is just people being upset that they have been de-skilled. Sorry, but creating an at-least-decent quality piece of digital art according to a short description is no longer an employable skill! Writing bland copy is no longer an employable skill, and texting with customers over an online support portal is no longer an employable skill. You're just going to have to get an "unskilled" job like the rest of humanity.

I think visual artists the most upset about this because they fell the furthest (and by that logic every software developer is going to be insufferable when Copilot v23 is finally good enough).

MORNING MEDITATIONS

I got my Dub on FORTNITE and I am just getting ready to start what will likely be another long day. Meditating on a few Psalms, currently number 71, w/ some key verses for me personally right now:

v2- Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

v5- For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.

v7- I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

v17- O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

v21- Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

v23- My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

I’m so saddened to hear of the passing of Vaughan Oliver. This was a man whose work has left a profound imprint in the music world, with his distinctive album art designs with v23.

Our paths crossed in the early 90s when I was a painting student at Central St. Martins in London. I also worked as an intern at 4AD; mostly relegated to tidying up the office, running errands and filling out monotonous forms. Not the least bit glamorous. But whenever Mr. Oliver stopped by the office, I was completely enthralled. Whoever said ‘never meet your heroes’ clearly never met anyone as kind, humble and so wildly creative.

Viewing his album covers made you feel that they held something special. Indeed, in many cases the artwork was far more interesting than the music inside. He influenced my own work, as I strived to create imagery that resembled a beautiful secret. 

He was a visionary whose loss we really can’t afford these days. He will be missed by many.
