Seeing the Hello From The Hallowoods fandom going from simping over Valerie Maidstone as a badass anti-capitalist rock band leader turned accidental rebelion icon, to now just totally hating on Val as a deadbeat mum and mayor must be Lady EM's dream come true.

Love how Marco was like "Lady Ethel has made a mistake. Any competent person would never lock up a former security guard along with the other prisoners hehe, I'll get us out of here" and then proved to be entirely useless in their escape.

I couldn’t help but notice that Riot practically quoted what her mom said about her after the rescue: that she is unrecognizable as the daughter she knew, that she may as well be another person. When comparing her to her CLONE that tried to replace her.

Riot nerves confronted Valerie for that comment, but it stuck with me as a pretty horrifying thing to say. I loved that it came up again in this episode; you can tell how much she’s internalized it and how hard it hit her. It also gives me hope that Valerie is going to have to confront her shortcomings as a parent—as a well-meaning parent who is flawed and messy and keeps accidentally hurting others when she gets caught up in her own issues.

A family can instead be an aged and traumatized lesbian rock star, her monster-fighting daughter who drove her RV across the country to rescue her from a capitalist-permanent-dream-hellscape, a clone of her monster-fighting daughter made by the capitalist-dream-hellscape creators who is much nicer and is causing the OG daughter a bit of an identity crisis, a genderfluid weather witch with blue hair and pronouns with a crush on the monster-fighter, a non-binary revenant with knife hands and a heart of gold, their beloved SO who is a trans ghost whose existence is tied to the piano key his father carved from his bone that the revenant carries close to their heart, and the cat that the genderfluid weather witch with blue hair and pronouns adopted and named Cumulus, all of them packed together in the aforementioned RV.

So I have a theory for hello from the hallowoods season three and the end of season two.

Spoilers for up to 97

So this season will probably end up with the RV crew rescued along with Marco. Clara will either find Friday on her own or Winona will find her and Clara and Friday will reunite when Clara returns to downing hill. Either way I think they get reunited.

From there both groups head north. The RV crew to get back to the scout post and then north for Diggory. I think Clara and Friday and maybe the rest of the dh crew or maybe just Clara I think they go north to destroy the heart. The director definitely knows about the heart and after this last episode I feel like stopping Marolmar’s heart was the point of downing hill all along.

While I feel that both groups will head north it is hopeful thinking that they’ll be together for the majority of the trip. However, I can’t stop thinking about Riot, Olivier, Clara, Friday, Danielle, Percy, and Diggory together on a road trip. (Maybe throw Moth in there as a treat. I’m not sure how Moth and ray would join the team but I’m wishing with all my heart) I think it’ll be really awkward at first but I think they’d all be really good friends. And because Clara is there she’ll be able to see Percy. And think he’ll be happy to have someone else that consistently sees him.

Now that I’m thinking about it Moth probably gets out of the box when the rest of the RV crew gets rescued so there’s that.

I’m trying to think of more characters that I can throw onto this hypothetical road trip.

Let’s throw Nolan on this trip. I’m not sure why. I just want to hear from him more. Maybe he’ll chaperone this group of 20 year olds. (How old is Danielle?) Anyway it’d be nice for him to get out of the forest every once and a while.

Maybe Polly and co might find more friends. I really can’t guess what next for that bunch if I’m honest.

Hector and Jonah will stay at the scout post. Bern gets new bee boxes.

I think LEM will take over boxco but that’s fine. How much worse could it get. She doesn’t really have a use for our main people. Maybe Valerie is in danger because LEM might use her to end the Maidstones whether mr bigs is in charge or not. Great now I’m worried about Valerie.

I hope Buck gets a nice boyfriend. I like Buck.
