Celtigar and dayne hairstyles pls???

Hairstyles of Houses Dayne and Celtigar

So the Dayne’s are dornish so they keep the Greco-Roman inspired hairstyles but as opposed to most other dornish houses who wear gold or copper they wear silver. I have a headcannon that I got from a fic that the dornish are expert glass artists so they wear slot of glass accessories, the daynes however opt for amethysts and tanzanite.

House Celtigar is of Valyrian descent, their hairstyles are unlike the the Targaryen’s however and have a strong stormlands and crown lands influence with elaborate updo’s and marine inspired, especially crustacean, headpieces. I hc that like the Velaryon’s they trade a lot so they are a richer house.

Dark Sister is a Valyrian steel sword, one of the ancestral swords of House Targaryen. Its slender blade was designed for a woman's hand. Dark Sister was wielded by Queen Visenya Targaryen, Prince Maegor Targaryen (later King Maegor I "the Cruel"), Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen (later King Jaehaerys I), Prince Baelon Targaryen (father of Viserys and Daemon), Prince Daemon Targaryen, Prince Aemon "the Dragonknight" Targaryen, and Ser Brynden "Bloodraven" Rivers. The sword’s current location is unknown.

I have to talk about Jaime and Brienne a minute. I don't see it as only romantic on Jamie's part. So Jaime is raised on tales of chivalry and knighthood, he's raised to be the ideal Westerosi man. And by fifteen, he is the ideal Westerosi knight - he's handsome and he's skilled.

Then his dream becomes an utter nightmare. He's thrust into a power play between his father and Aerys, used as a pawn and a glorified reminder of an old argument. His role as Kingsguard is to not to combat evil, its to stand by his King as he commits terrible acts. Arthur Dayne and the White Bull, epitomes of the ideal Jaime has so desperately arrived to protect this monster. Jaime even speaks up when he gears Aerys assaulting Rhaella, an act that he knows could get him punished only to be hushed. Then he gets his chance to do a good act, to kill Aerys and save the city.

Only for Ned Stark to amble in and label him the monster. Then for the rest of his life, Jaime isn't a hero or a knight or anything. He's the Kingslayer, a byword for everything wrong with knighthood. He turns into that alter-ego, becomes more jaded, more apathetic. And then Brienne comes bulling into his life, the living image of every ideal he held so dear and no matter what their journey throws at her, she never wavers. She doesn't turn into a nightmare. She's a constant, she can be relied upon. He trusts her with Sansa Stark, his last chance at honour and the sword he's so long dreamed for. Because she's his last hope that perhaps his ideals aren't just pipe dreams

I find it soo hilarious that Rhaenyra named her daughter Visenya and Aegon named his son Mae(l)or

to be fair, Rhaenyra had this idolisation for Visenya (hence the name) and while she was a controversial figure, she had more pros than cons. Though it's still rather bold to name her firstborn daughter like this and 100% respect for it.

Aegon had me wheezing with Maelor because there's no way he didn't do it on purpose. I feel like there was definitely a push from otto/Alicent when it comes to the first names (given how people in asoiaf use them) so firstborn son was forcefully named jaehaerys after the wise old king (as a sign of power that his son will follow the same path) and I headcanon Helaena coming up with the twist of its female form Jaehaer-a to be all cute and make her twins match.

Meanwhile with Maelor, Aegon had the opportunity to wilful and unruly and forced down his choice, instead of whatever other name his mother and grandfather had in mind.
