Fun fact, when I thought of this scene I didn’t intend for the moment to be funny, but then when I actually wrote it out I fucking lost my mind about it because of how silly the visual of it was.. can’t believe I never drew this moment before 😂

An AU I made with @vegalocity! They described it best: "JTTW, but Wukong is quicker to tears than rage."

(Calling him Crybaby is just a bit of fun. He deserves to cry!! He deserves to cry a whole bunch because I would be in this situation. This entire AU is based on the fact that I would be sobbing my eyes out the entire Journey if that was me.)

Yes, he 10000% is a Certified Baby. Because Xiaotian wanted him to be dependent and obedient to Monkey King, and Sun Wukong somewhat missed the ‘good old days’ when there weren’t any problems or fighting between the two of them, like when ‘Liu Er’ was young (And it doesn’t matter that Macaque was the one to chose to drop that version of his name, because it’s the one SWK prefers so now it’s the only one he can hear) and that made it so easy for Xiaotian to suggest that Monkey King would be Happiest if his little brother stayed his little baby brother, Forever.

Of course, we gotta have the classic Bull Family and Long Family swaps, probably at least one Wukong and Xiaotian swap... I think throwing in Time Traveller MK from @purble-turble and Swap Au from @winterpower98 would be fun! Also either Animorph or Princess Bride by @vegalocity!

Been wanting to try an edit to make Chenguang, then with Bell being created I wanted to try her too... but then there’s one more kid in this cap, so I made the third kid @vegalocity’s Minyi.

I imagine there’s some weird Spiderverse kinda thing going on, the kids are all playing Pokemon Go while the adults get the whole situation sorted.

This was exactly what i didn't know i wanted to do until @vegalocity suggested it. My absolute favorite parts in the series are the creepy bits, even if this one was more for laughs than like, Empty Man or something. So i tried to make it more creepy than it was, cuz that's my jam. XD

So i was looking through the general tags and i ran into that 'if the various Red Sons played Smash' and it was said that TTRed would favor Kirby specifically because he's still trying his best to 'declaw' himself and all- and i was thinking like- Mei would ABSOLUTELY be down to aid this endeavor, figuring its a pretty healthy coping mechanism compared to others and just-

LOADING him up on cute things. it's a pain in the ass to get him to ACCEPT any gifts, but when she wears him down he USES them because he doesn't want her to feel like she wasted the money and effort to help him with his 'domestication' attempts, so he's out of here with the fucking Pom Pom Purin backpack and other various trinkets that she could get away with foisting onto him

Haha oh I had forgotten about that ask! But yeah Time Travel Red Son attempting to get into cutesy stuff as a way to NOT be like King Red is a freakin great idea!

I imagine it starts out small, like when Red is asked to pick what color straw he wants or which arcade prize to get and he finds himself just deliberately choosing one that’s pink for the mere reason that it’s the exact opposite aesthetic that DKR had. It’s not necessarily cute on purpose, just worked out that way. After awhile Mei notices first just because she super duper loves cute things and, before his future adventure, Red Son seemed to either dislike that style or at least thought he was too good for it… so yeah Mei gets excited about this particular change and decides to take it upon herself to make Red Son Super Cute™ from now on!

The only problem with it is.. Red still doesn’t like it. Not genuinely. He forces himself to make those choices almost as a reflex, desperate to have any difference between who he is/wants to be and the monster he saw in the future, even in just superficial ways like having a pink Pom Pom backpack…… well, he thinks, at least Mei likes it, and if she wants to pick out some cutesy accessories for him, then that’s fine. It’s good to to have her make choices for him, right? The less agency he has the better.

…MK notices this shift much later, probably after Red’s already carrying around his blueprints in a pom pom backpack. He doesn’t fully know how this happened until he spots the six or so chibi dragon keychains that he knows whos responsible lol…. Anyway he has to have a talk with a pouty Mei in private about if, instead of pushing him to like the things that they like, they should instead try to get Red Son comfortable with just being himself, even if it means going back to being a dorky edge-lord. Mei is disappointed, but agrees Red Son should make his own choices from now on….. she still foists cute things on him once in awhile, but the initial deluge that happened definitely stops lol

He had 2 kids, a boy and a girl, and a wife! Now he has 3 kids since he's been away from his fam for 8-9 months. His wife was so excited to tell him she was pregnant. He never came home to receive the news.

If they get saved after season 3 he does a "I miss my wife, Spider Queen...".

He sometimes wakes up and expects to walk out to see his wife cooking breakfast, her long hair over her shoulders and a smile on her delicate face. And yet, all he's met with is the darkness of the cave and Spider Queen.

So without further ado, meet 真君 aka Zhenjun the Lost Princess of Flower Fruit Mountain.

Now the first thing you may be asking is, but Rob, is she's meant to be a monkey, why does she have wings? That is because in the LOOOOONG drawn out ending of the Tyrant Prince AU that leads to this Sequel one Tang Sanzang ends up throwing his staff into the Jade Emperor's face, taking off on his own to strike a deal with Aphrodite before ending up in Babylon where he ends up getting adopted/becoming the champion of Queen Ishtar.

So... not exactly a a Buddha anymore, and considering this all happened because he had multiple millennia of repressed emotions regarding one very specific Monkey, it was only a matter of time before things came out and the fact that said Monkey also had millennia worth of pining to work through came out and idiots 1 and 2 finally got together.

But then you might ask, so why is she the 'Lost' Princess?

Good readers do you think these two traumatized idiots (one of which is far more traumatized than the other, having the successor you thought of as a son forcibly rip your mind apart and try to effectively make you a slave will do that to a guy) are in a place to raise a child? Especially a surprise child that came about because they are sappily in love all the time around a Goddess of Fertility (and her husband, who is also a fertility god)?

Absolutely not.

So Lady Ishtar tried to put of allowing this very nice rock to hatch into a baby, and succeeded for like, centuries. But even she had limited so off to the city to find a nice human couple struggling with conception to pass off this lovely "normal" human baby too.

(Incidentally, Zhenjun is like, the most emotionally stable out of ALL of the various on-and-off residents of FFM, because of, you know, lack of trauma and an emotionally stable upbringing)

Of course there wouldn't be a story if she stayed lost, but before that, you should meet some of her... interesting friends.

By which I mean I'm no good at tags so I'm throwing this back at @vegalocity to do our Spider BFF. (or one of the others, and only if you want)

Vega wanted me to talk about either Chenguang or Bell.

Bell is like those 'beloved daughter of crime family' characters; even if the Spider Clan have chilled out a lot and are more like a fun villain of the week (even if that. In this universe, they've all calmed down considerably, and only like to 'challenge' MK once in a while as a game, to keep him on his toes). She's kept in the dark about the true extent of what her family, especially Auntie, did, only knowing that they weren't exactly the best people once. Goliath isn't sure yet how much they'll tell Bell when she's older. But for the timebeing, while she's still a small child, they won't say a thing.

Bell is enrolled in a daycare when she's five, as socialization is important. And Spider Queen says, if she expects to be a queen someday, she'll need to interact with people. (Spider Queen tells her a few stories of monarchs who did this or that wrong, and ended up dethroned or killed.)

It's at daycare that she meets Chenguang, who's a little older than her. Chenguang hears this little spider-human hybrid talking about being a princess, marches right up to her, and is all "I'm a princess, too! Do you have a crown?"

Bell does not, in fact, have a crown. Yet. Her beaded headband will have to do for now.

I've been asked before if people give Bell a hard time because of being Spider Demon… and no, not really.

Mainly because yeah I'm not doing a 'sins of our fathers' things and I'm not making a whole city afraid of/harassing a defenseless child. Also because at this point in the story, again, the Spiders are integrating more. Goliath freely goes outside with Meiyun, Huntsman is very outdoorsy and people at sporting goods stores recognize him as a regular, Syntax is finding/reconnecting with anyone he might've known in the past, and Spider Queen runs a legit stall in the market. People are used to the Spiders now.

Chenguang brings Bell to Pigsy's Noodles after daycare more than once. Bell's appearance did initially startle Team MK the first time, but she's polite and cute, and Pigsy never turns away a child.

It's even kinda cute when Bell lifts her soup spoon and declares "Delicious! When I'm queen, you'll be my royal chef!"
