"Y-You want me to cook with you Ms. Amira...? Out of all people?" Veleno couldn't help but ask, confused and very very flustered by the offer.

"....Of course I can..! I'll help you cook!! Although my culinary skills aren't perfect but..I'll try my best!" He smiled bashfully.

"Flowers...? For me..??" Veleno wanted to confirm, a little overwhelmed when Amira affirmed it. His cheeks became red..even his ears flushed into a soft shade of pink too.

"I-I don't know what to say..this is so bold but...thank you Ms. Amira, I feel so honored!! And they're really pretty too!! I- achoo-!" He cuts himself off with an abrupt sneeze into his elbow, soon raising his head with a soft sniffle.

"Apologies but..I'm actually allergic.." he hesitantly added, a guiltful look on his face. "B-But they're really beautiful though!! I'll cherish it forever!! I'll water them daily..!!"

"Do you want anything in return? I can knit you a sweater if you'd like! A scarf even..! I want to give back to you Ms. Amira..."

“... -ah, sure. It’s a bit strange that Mr. Crewel put us with the third years this time... I’m not sure about the latest topic he gave us, though...” Jamil talked with Veleno to the Scarabia dorm. Veleno nodded at his words, agreeing. They would take Jamil’s and Amira’s notes and head back to the school.

Amira was already in the lounge, waiting for them with all they needed in her hands and talking to some of her dorm mates. She noticed Jamil and Veleno approaching. Jamil kept talking about the same thing, still walking, while Veleno looked around the dorm. It looked so different from his, but still pleasant.

Amira’s and Veleno’s eyes met by coincidence. She didn’t expect that, but she smiled warmly at him, waving a little. Veleno returned the wave after a few seconds of hesitation, smiling back too. Jamil lifted his hand as a way of waving to her as well while she was standing up.

“Everything’s here!” Amira smiled to both of them, patting softly a few times the varied notebooks and papers she was holding “We can head back!” Jamil nodded in agreement and started to rush back, not giving it a second thought since he just wanted to get those assignments finally over. Amira looked at Jamil’s figure walking away and blinked in confusion. She looked up at Veleno, smiling “Well, let’s go after him” she chuckled, earning a nod from the boy.

They started to walk back after Jamil, only for some reckless students to accidentally bump quite harshly onto Veleno and making him stumble and lose his balance, bumping into a vase at the same time. Veleno’s eyes widened as he heard a crashing sound right next to him, making his face pale in a mixture of terror and embarrassment. Amira didn’t see the whole moment, but was able to feel two presences other than Veleno’s behind her. The fleeing footsteps just confirmed her quick deduction.

Everything happened so fast, Veleno felt guilty. Thoughts about the worst possible endings flooded his head. He couldn’t help but worry; would Amira get mad at him? Would he be banned from Scarabia’s dorm forever? Would he be accused by everyone and kicked out? The tears that were pooling in his eyes fell free after some moments of trying his best to hold them back. “I-” he quietly said “I can explain-” his quivering voice was something Amira didn’t expect at all. She quickly looked up at him, getting one of the saddest sights she could ever witness.

“Vivi, are you alright?” she quickly reached up to him after almost dropping the notes to the floor in a rush “Did you get hurt somewhere? Are you bleeding or something?” she asked while carefully examining his face, her voice drenched in worry. Veleno looked down at her and shook his head, then shook it again at her second question “N-no, I- I’m just-”

She understood and made consoling Veleno her first priority “...Vivi, why are you crying?” she posed a hand on his shoulder and carefully pushed, making him lean down slightly. She posed her other hand on his cheek, wiping the tears away. She felt a violent tug in her chest and mentally stated that she hated seeing Veleno cry.

“Amira, I’m so sorry- the vase- I didn’t mean to-!” Veleno quietly said between silent whimpers. Amira’s expression softened and she gave him a reassuring smile “...hey, don’t worry. It’s just a vase. I’m more glad that you aren’t hurt, other than sad at what happened to the vase. I couldn’t care less about it” she stroked a few times her finger over his cheek with the most gentle touch “Besides, it can be easily replaced. It’s nothing, really”

Veleno looked at her, a feeling of relief raising from the bottom of his chest “R... really? You’re not mad?” he shyly asked, earning a laugh from Amira. “How could I ever be mad at you? I also understood what happened. It wasn’t your fault” she softly pat the top of his head “Things like this happen, however. You’re fine.” she smiled.

Veleno let out a shaky breath, glad everything was alright “...thanks” he quietly said, giving her a soft smile. Amira felt her cheeks go warmer, and her own smile widened by seeing his.

“There it is~! Smiling suits you better~”
