But with demons. A feat only possible given his size and dedication to the gym.#He's also banned from most warlock groups for his unconventional spells. Like the vertical demon summong circle #which shoots a demon out at arrow speeds. The demons suffer vertigo since the circle is supposed to be on the ground. So gravity SHIFTING #as they're yanked through space in a sudden and fast summoning isn't very fun.#Neither is being hit in the face by a nauseous demon flying at speeds.#Da'ey and Peferika will get along great.

we found a "mini broom of flying" at a rickety popup shop, which we bought for our gnome. it's in air quotes because it's less a broom and more a chalkboard eraser with a handle attached to it. she's the only one light enough to ride it.

rly weird uncomfortable imagery from my dream last night. some background: was assistant coaching my college's club women's vb team even tho i was still in college, bc this guy i knew in the dream wanted me to play on the men's team instead. so we were wrapping up practice for the women's team and had to put some equipment back in the locker room.

for some reason i was leading everyone in a single file line down to the locker room carrying the equipment. but the locker room was this dimly lit, horribly labyrinthine basement with jail cell bars everywhere. the sports equipment had heavy chains that were dragging along and started tangling around our ankles. but we kept having to walk on. the path i needed to take would have us doubling back so we'd pass the same line of ppl going in the other direction like the video game snake. when we finally arrived everyone else put the equipment away and started going back upstairs but i was still there unwrapping the chains, unveiling the mangled imprinted skin until i was the only one left. then i woke up

It's probably fine but everytime i do something like this i feel like it will be weighed against my soul one day

#mypost #this probably doesn't even make any sense out of context let me see if i can try to explain it #so the first part the hori_speed or verti_speed thing is checking if its moving #and thus the code goes on to start displaying the walk animation (theres only 1 direction so you have to walk backwards sometimes its fine)#but for some reason it would refuse to change the sprite properly if it was specifically moving only to the left and not on any diagonal #so i just kind of...made it separately check if it's specifically going at exactly negative walk speed (this makes sense)#so it will change the sprite anyway #and im now realizing this will probably be largely pointless to have figured out once i actually make sprites for facing left.#i didnt do that yet because the sprites are kind of big and thus have to actually be animated rather than just 3 frames...why did i do that #The answer is because it fit what i was going for better than tiny sprites would. But i had to animate an actual walk cycle.#And will probably have to do that again. So the mental toll is high.#ALSO i just noticed the other thing about this which is #i use two separate ways of writing the ''or'' operator IN THE SAME LINE OF CODE #i still don't know why it accepted negatives as not being 0 when it was moving on diagonals and vertically but not horizontally.
