Because chapter 70 of MOMU gave me the very dynamic between them that I missed so much, I just blacked out and started drawing uncontrollably lmao

Also. ALSO. I noticed a while ago that Prowl has the habit of..like…constantly frowning. So. I did a bit of research and made this graph.

In 70 chapters, Prowl frowns rougly 104 times. And the intensity of this gesture is very clearly correlated with the development of his relationship with Jazz, as you can see ahahahahah It might be wrong tho don’t take me seriously I’m not good with graphs

I think one of my favorite little details about spike's character is how he treated drusilla. he wasn't just "patient" with her disability, he actively treated it as just another thing about her to love. he verry rarely coddled her or tried to get her to be more present in a situation when she wasn't capable. (I can't think of a single time that he did but i feel like there were some when he was already upset at other people?). he learned to understand what she was saying even when it sounded like nonsense. when she was upset he comforted her, no matter how often it happened. when she started dancing he danced with her.

and we see in buffy 5x20 that it wasn't just his love for dru that made him act like that. when tara was incoherent and opened the window in the van, he didn't just immediately forgive her for burning him, he never got upset in the first place. he yelled, of course, because he was hurt, but as soon as willow started apologizing and trying to explain he just nodded. because it's no biggie! he already understands. some people are just like that, and he doesn't see accommodating that as the big deal that the people around him are making it out to be.

#I've just been thinking about this a lot #it's such a small trait but it's consistent and I love it so much #i find it interesting when people call him a sociopath because I think it's clear that he always cared about people.#like he changed when he died. obviously. he lost his soul and killed for fun. but I think it was less of a complete disregard for people #and more of just making the very best of what he had to do.#it's even obvious when he tells buffy about the slayers that he killed.#it was a sport. he was hunting and having fun. but he was also thinking about their experiences #because every slayer has a deathwish! his actions weren't noble in any way but it's like he was trying to justify them to himself #even when he was supposedly a cold blooded killer with no empathy.#losing his soul didn't stop him from being the sensitive loser poet. he had to purposefully beat that out of himself #and thats why he didn't need a soul to start his whole redemption arc. it was all there already.#that got so off topic but whatever. all of it evidenced by the fact that he was so good at accommodating people #thank you and good night #spike btvs #hey this animal can talk

Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.

I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

#poorly drawn mdzs #art summary #Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year #then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. I only came out in 2015 and i still feel like an old man in comparison to the ftm community now. everyone’s moved on. gc2b’s quality is apperantly shit now but back in my day there was literally only two binder brands and they were the ‘good one’. taping is as popular if not more than binding and i remember when transtape was founded. its literally so insane how like half the brands i remember as THE packer brands or THE binder brands aren’t talked about literally at all anymore. its wild to me

#also when i started t i remember it was mainly injections and like a very very small amount of guys did gel #but now i actually know more guys on gel than injection and theres other forms too now

Something I wish more people understood is that optimism and kindness are a choice.

For some people that choice comes more naturally than others. In some situations that choice is easier to make. But even if you're naturally inclined to be kind and optimistic, there will be times when it's a real struggle to not just wallow in the misery, or to be a petty ass gremlin to someone. When it takes real effort to not just take the easy option, because you know it will not help, or will even make stuff worse in the long run.

On the flip side for those who it doesn't come naturally, who really need to work on it, they still can and often do choose both kindness and optimism. Because no matter the difficulty level, it improves your overall quality of life and that of those around you.

Also, choosing kindness is not faking things. If you do kind things you are a kind person, whether you have to actively chose it or not. There is no difference to those you were kind to whether or not you had to think about the action, or if it just happened automatically. You still treated them kindly, and that is what they'll remember. It will mean more than you might think.

The good news is that it's a muscle you can train. The more you forge those pathways in your brain, the easier they are to walk. Where one day you may find that while you may never be a fully natural optimistic kind person, you can pretty well imitate one, and that's all that matters.

Kindness and optimism are a choice and you always get to choose it.
