Martin Nonstatic — Apana EP. 2020 ; Ultimae.  ~ [ Album Review  |  Star Wax  ]
According to Yogapedia, apana vayu participates in the regulation of vital flows, in the elimination of toxins, in the regulation of the body… Martin Von Rossum (aka Martin NonStatic), who presents himself as a fervent practitioner of yoga, offers us, with this “Apana” Ep, a beautiful musical transcription of his meditative practice. “Apana Part 1”, the centerpiece, will bewitch the downtempo music lover with its aquatic sounds, delicate strings, melancholic synths and just perfect cinematics. “Kama” then “Apana Part 2” perpetuate a beautiful ambient atmosphere, without succeeding in provoking the vibration felt when listening to the first track. “Mind Ctrl”, to be listened to while watching the sun rise, closes the Ep in beauty with its pretty breaks placed on soothing layers. Nice discovery that this "Apana" Ep. It will be perfect for starting a melodic set, meditating, making love, finishing the after party, or just tripping! Big up for the artwork designed by Arnaud Galoppe and Vincent Villuis. It heralds a series of Eps that may be released on vinyl.

A Record A Day Keeps The Blues Away
If you like tasteful and well produced music
from the ambient and downtempo genres, you
should check out the French label Ultimae
Records. Aes Dana with "(a) period" is a record
that should definitely be heard. The group
consists of Vincent Villuis, former member of
the goa-chill band Asura, and Sunbeam (aka
Mahiane). "(a) period." is the ninth album. The
music fuses psychedelic tradition with flowing
downtempo.
The record contains 10 tracks that act like
musical phases of a theme. Sounds mastered
to the last detail, crystal clear, with peaks and
dry bass. The music of Aes dana is meant to be
enjoyed between the veils.
With over 70 minutes of running time,
"(a) period." is a musical event that never gets
boring and captivates the listener.

“The winds were blowing us towards here,
This varec shore where seaweed stopped their caress.
Old sea echoes were spaced and distilled.
We have much to exchange my friend, Sand Traveller.
Take me in your hand and let me whisper.
You were my body, I’m still your memory”.
Me pega na sua mão e deixe-me sussurrar:

https://www.facebook.com/asuramusic/http://www.asura-music.com/https://www.discogs.com/artist/27984-AsuraASURA biography:Asura is Charles Farewell, born in 1975. Originally a duo composed of Charles Farewell and Vincent Villuis.Since 1996, the project Asura has polished a personal electronic universe sound, between trance psychedelic, ambient and world music. In 1998, Christopher Maze joins the band and in 2000, the first Asura album, Code Eternity, is released. Made by many influences, their music, built around electronic machines and acoustic instruments, does not remain about it less one personal and considered creation, centered on the perpetual search of infinite spaces and multiple origins. Monotonous melancholic lyrics, symphonic waves, fast and slow rhythms, heavy or throbbing, liturgical songs, the project Asura introduces a certain solemn vision of the world. They have created a very distinctive sound which has contributed to making Asura one of the most recognizable bands of the World Electro and Trance Ambient genre. In 2001, Vincent Villuis left the band to concentrate on his new project AES Dana and was replaced the same year by Alex Ackerman. The second album, "Lost Eden", was released in 2003. Since July 2005, after the departure of Christopher Maze and Alex Ackerman, Asura became a solo project. exclusively composed of Charles Farewell. In July 2007, the third Asura album, [ Life² ], was released. The fourth album, [ 360 ] saw the light in october 2010 on Ultimae Records.
