Anyways k*vinsky was never supposed to survive. It wouldn’t have made sense for the purpose he served in the book. He was Ronan’s narrative foil, showing what ronan could’ve become if he hadn’t found Gansey and the others, if he hadn’t had aurora and Matthew and Declan, if he chose to cling to the night horrors and dream of darkness instead of light, if he decided to sit in hell with the drinking and the racing and the fire instead of clawing his way out and fighting his way back to the life he deserved to have. He chose life, chose to live instead of giving into the impulse to chase death. K*vinsky was his foil, diverging in opposite directions, making the wrong choice when Ronan made the right one, and in doing so, he gave in and chose death, chose destruction, destroying himself and everyone and everything in his path. He wasn’t supposed to survive. Him living would mean Ronan would have to die, and Ronan was supposed to live.

haha idk why but that made me laugh. it's best to assume everything and anything is a ship. but personally nah i don't ship/like it. as a friendship yes the three of them are unbreakable. but romantically not my cup of tea. i just think the dynamics between adam and gansey and ronan and gansey just don't work romantically for me. and nothing outweighs that scene in trb where they first go to blue's house and adam tells maura (i think?) that he doesn't have a brother while briefly glancing at gansey. like this is found family brotherhood at it's finest. also ronan and gansey's whole weird parent and child dynamic thats joked about but lowkey a conversation they needed to have i just can't unsee it and see it romantically. idk does that makes sense?? though i absolutely do not refute that they were all a little in love with each other because i mean who isn't a little in love with all their friends?

i love it when young people combine folk music with contemporary music and even more so when it's from my own culture.

last movie/tv show: i don't even remember the last time i watched a movie. probably lapatossu at my dad's house lol. it's a finnish comedy film from 1930s and very very dated.

that's the anti-employment lapatossu and his pal vinski. lapatossu didn't wanna work on a railway construction site so he and vinski impersonated a railway company president, joined a circus and other tomfoolery. the movie ended with them walking into sunset with hand in unemployable hand. i think this might've done well on ao3 back in the day, the homosexual subtext was strong with this one.

tv shows i'm currently watching are kinou nani tabeta, ichiban sukina hana and last twilight. i spend a lot of time resting on the couch so i've also been exposed to everything from dancing with the stars to farmer wants a wife. i watch a lot of documentaries on youtube.

OC_tober days 1 and 2: Favourite OC (Tai & Liminka) and First OC (Vinski).

Honestly, all three of these are my favourites. I hate picking just one. But Tai has major "recurring character syndrome" and he's a ton of fun to draw so he gets the day 1 slot! Also I love undead characters, and especially knowing how he looks under his illusions, I adore him even more. ;) And the first OC is one of my many BJD characters, Vinski. An art teacher and gamer who would rather eat instant noodles for a week than spend an hour every two days cooking. I've been learning to draw left-handed for the past couple of weeks due to an injury. It's slow but at least it doesn't hurt! Hoping that by the end of the month it WON'T take me several hours to line and colour a chibi. xD (The first one is a mix of both hands, the chibi is 100% left!)

There's this instagram post where AssClass characters are given German names. Cause procrastination is my favorite pastime, I decided to give them Finnish ones. ^^ I was originally just going to share this on discord, but I ended up writing so much stuff that whatever, I'll put it here too.

As you see, I kept some of the German names, they just sort of fit, and there are Finnish versions of those names, too. Some are kinda based on people I know, so they might make sense to me but not others, maybe...

Pronunciation guide: j is said like y in you. Y, on the other hand, is the same sound as German ü. ä is said as a in bad. Otherwise just pronounce everything exactly as it's written. (Like, e.g. e's always pronounced as the eh sound and so on.) There are some explanations after the list.

Hazama doesn't like her name cause it's so cute... I tried to think of a cute name but couldn't so... going with Lahja which means gift. I suspect she wouldn't like that either. ^^;

Kimura had been named Tobias in the German list, which led me to think of Topi, and that was my grandpa's nickname, his real name being Toivo, which means hope. And as I can't think of a Finnish name that'd have anything to do with justice, I decided to go with that.

Lumi means snow, and I know that yuki in Kanzaki's name isn't written with kanji for snow, but Yukiko still sounds like "snow child" so there we go. (and I just had to give that name to someone)

In Nagisa's case I tried to think of a gender neutral name, just like his real name is. It was tempting to name him Meri (ocean, to keep the connection to water) but that's a girl's name (tho apparently it's been given to a few boys too.) Anyway, I decided on Vieno, which has kind of "feminine" meaning (something like gentle, soft) but as it ends in o it's also given to boys. (And now I'm thinking that maybe his middle name could be Meri so he'd be "gentle ocean" XD I'm sorry Nagisa...)

I really wanted to name Gakushuu Kullervo. ^^;; I'm just not sure if his dad should be Kalervo or Untamo if I did. >_> It's kinda like... Kalervo pre-Ikeda, Untamo afterwards... (I'm not sure why I named Shuu Aleksi. That just was the first name that came to my mind.)

Oh, and Karma's name Konsta is ofc actually short of Konstantin, but it makes one think of the verb konstailla which means stuff like to mess about/act up etc.
