Cell\Borg — Smash Blips (Dot Dash Sounds)
Tumblr media
Cell\Borg vibrates to a Teutonic frequency, channelling Neu! in radiant, repeated synth cadences that could go on “für immer” without breaking a sweat. The bicoastal trio, with members from both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, channels Michael Rother’s eternal, unchanging pulse, which drives towards receding horizons, always moving, never arriving.
Yet while these synth grooves evoke the chill and mystery of late 20th century motorism, they also flirt with conventional song structure, a la Depeche Mode . Buzz-sawed, synth swelling “Oktober” is all austerity as an instrumental piece, but it flowers to frigid, stylish life in the verse and chorus. The singing floats like a mirage over oogah-chooging synth beats, disembodied but recognizably human. Indeed, while the robotic syncopations of “Coriander Duplex” imply gleaming, shimmering post-human landscapes, warm swathes of guitar and bass bring us into more communal territories.
Occasionally these underground music lifers edge over almost entirely into rock territory, as in the vamping, riffing, psychedelic “Who’s Got the Square Waves,” which sounds more like Purling Hiss or Writhing Squares than Cluster. “Instant Pass” falls closer to GBV’s lofi lyricism. A wistful vocal melody sits uneasily atop thrusting, jutting, synth-powered boogie, fragility alongside swagger.
Still there’s hardly a track here that wouldn’t support a pop-locking, herky jerky robot dance, not the undulating mystery of “Count to Zero,” not the pop-corn-y staccato of “7x returning.” Here’s music for a future that will likely never happen, where androids stick their hands in the air and move to the beat, much nicer than our timeline where they labor for billionaire to plot profitable paths to destruction.

Hi!
For the general questions - 3, 4, 7, and 8
For the trial questions - 4 for trial 1 and trial 2
For the prisoner questions - 1 for Haruka and 5 for Mikoto
thank you for the ask!!! ♥️ i'll put my answers under a cut since they're fairly long ^_^"
3. What's your favourite headcanon? - i have sooo many but. well every single piece of my characterization for tsugumichi is made up so thats an obligatory favorite, but other than that i think my other favorites are autosexual mikoto & 4channer kotoko
4. What's your favourite Minigram? - the piss spoon one
7. Which prisoner do you think you would get on with the most if you met them in person, and why? - honestly probably mikoto, but that's less of an "i would get along with them" and more of a "they are such a people-pleaser they force themself to get along with me" thing... i can only see Maybe shidou too but that's largely because (once i overlook my bias) he reminds me of one of my coworkers lol
4a. Which [first] trial cover do you enjoy the most, and why? - for t1 its definitely mikoto's monopoisoner with zero contest except MAYBE kotoko's antibeat or haruka's 2bw... monopoisoner was already my one of my favorite songs from continew and the scarier more tense & horror-adjacent arrange is suuuch a good match especially with hanae's vocals!!!
4b. Which [second] trial cover do you enjoy the most, and why? - haruka's android girl!! close runner up would be kotoko's streaming heart, but android girl will forever be my favorite out of t2... i think haruka's genre in general is just one of my favorites, and horie's vocals are SO good always. ntm the slight "trap-adjacent" segment in the first verse, which is muu's main genre too?!?! perfect cover to me...
1. What do you think of [Haruka] and why? - i never talk about him that much because i'm not too well-versed in his character, but i love him soo much as a character he's so coollllll!!! i think he's one of the best depictions of an intellectual disability or disability in general i've seen in fiction. his whole "compared child" & envy-driven murder aspect is also something i realllyy enjoy about his character. this isn't a haruka-exclusive thing, but i also like how they tricked us initially with a "perfect victim" narrative and then threw that out once his verdict was granted ♥️ he's the perfect opening prisoner for milgram
5. What do you think of [Mikoto]'s song/s? - i have >11k listens on their songs i sure wonder...... anyway I really really REALLY like them and am obsessed with their genre-fuckery. MeMe was my favorite from t1, and double, though not my favorite (despite all my listens,) rewired my brain completely.. i think it was me rewatching MeMe that actually got me into milgram discussion instead of just being a casual viewer, so thank you mikoto!!!

OK ANON I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR LOVE FOR NIN TO AN EXTENT, BUT IM STILL PISSED ABOUT OK COMPUTER. NOT ONLY THE BEST ALBUM OF THE 90S, BUT ONE OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME? EACH TRACK IS A MASTERPIECE, MAKING THE FULL ALBUM SUCH AN EXPERIENCE. THE FIRST TIME I LISTENED I HAD TO STOP EVERYTHING AND JUST TAKE IT IN. I LAYED ON MY BACK AND JUST CRIED THROUGH THE WHOLE THING OUT OF PURE EMOTION FROM THE ALBUM. "AIRBAG"'S EXPERIMENTATION AND DISTORTED RIFF IS A FANTASTIC OPENER TO THE ALBUM, AND THE LYRICS JUST HIT. "PARANOID ANDROID" IS POSSIBLY THEIR BEST SONG, SWITCHING FROM GENRE TO GENRE WITH BEAUTIFUL LYRICAL PASSION AND AMAZING INSTRUMENTATION. THE GUITAR SOLO ALONE MAKES THE SONG A CLASSIC AND UNDOUBTEDLY A MASTERPIECE. "SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK ALIEN"'S EXPERIMENTATION WITH PSYCHEDELIC INSTRUMENTATION CREATES AN ATMOSPHERIC EXPERIENCE. THE LYRICS ARE FILLED WITH SUCH PASSION, AND COMPLIMENT THE INSTRUMENTAL ELEMENTS BEAUTIFULLY. "EXIT MUSIC (FOR A FILM)"'S BRIDGE AND CLIMAX ARE UNMATCHED BY ANY SONG, AND THOM YORKE'S VOCALS ALONE AND INSANE. "LET DOWN"'S SLOW BUILD IS HEAVEN TO THE EARS, WITH THE THIRD VERSE'S USE OF LAYERING WITH THE BACKING VOCALS ALL COMING TOGETHER WITH THE MAIN VOCALS FOR THE CLIMAX CREATES AN EMOTIONAL MASTERPIECE. "KARMA POLICE"'S BEAUTIFUL AND DESPERATE LYRICAL GENIUS GO PERFECTLY WITH THE INSTRUMENTALS OF THE TRACK. "FITTER HAPPIER" WHILE AN INTERLUDE, GENIUSLY PORTRAY THE STRUGGLES AND PRESSURE OF THE WORKING MAN, AND HOW EASY IT IS TO CRUMBLE UNDERNEATH IT, WITH THE HAUNTING AND COLD VOICE REALLY COMPLIMENTING ITS GRIM LYRICS, WRAPPING IT ALL UP WITH A BOW. "CLIMBING UP THE WALLS" IS A COLD, ATMOSPHERIC AND EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER, WITH ITS CRESCENDO OF NOT ONLY THE INSTRUMENTAL ELEMENTS, BUT ALSO THE EMOTION IN THOM'S VOICE CREATE SUCH A CHILLING AND PASSIONATE TRACK THAT IS LIKE LITERALLY NO OTHER. SPEAKING OF PASSION, "ELECTIONEERING" REALLY SHOWCASES THOM'S AGGRESSION AND ANGER THROUGH LYRICS AND VOCALS IN THIS TRACK, NOT TO MENTION THE LEAD AND RYTHYM GUITAR'S UNIQUE ASPECTS COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER PERFECTLY, AND MAKE LISTENING SO SATISFYING, DESPITE THE SONG BEING RELATIVELY SIMPLE. "NO SURPRISES" IS A TRACK CLEARLY FILLED WITH SUCH PASSION AND ANGUISH, NOT ONLY THROUGH THE BANDS INSTRUMENTATION, BUT THOM YORKE'S BEAUTIFULLY DELIVERED VOCALS ABOUT APATHY AND STRUGGLES WITH MENTAL HEALTH, ALONG WITH THE PRESSURES OF MODERN DAY SOCIETY AND CAPITALISM. "LUCKY"'S BEYOND GORGEOUS GUITAR PAIRED WITH THOM'S VOCALS ARE SO ATMOSPHERIC, YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE FLOATING. THERE IS LITERALLY NO EXPERIENCE THAT CAN BE MATCHED WITH LISTENING TO THIS TRACK. "THE TOURIST". MY GOD. THE BEAUTIFUL ORCHESTRATION AND INSTRUMENTATION COURTESY OF JONNY GREENWOOD CREATE SUCH A FLAVOURFUL AND SOOTHING TRACK, YET IT CAN BE PERCEIVED WITH A MELANCHOLIC UNDERTONE. BUT THE GENIUS IS IN THE LYRICS. "HEY MAN, SLOW DOWN" GIVES THE LISTENER INDICATION OF BEING IN A VEHICLE. YKW ELSE DOES THAT? AIRBAG, THE FIRST TRACK ABOUT SURVIVING A CAR CRASH, WHICH IS A METAPHOR FOR SECOND CHANCES. BUT "HEY MAN SLOW DOWN" GIVES US THE INDICATION THAT THE DRIVER IS BEING RECKLESS, MEANING THEY POSSIBLY GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT? ITS A LOOP. ITS A LOOP, GUYS. ITS A METAPHOR FOR THE TORTURED MIND OF THE WORKING MAN, FORCED TO LIVE THROUGH THE SAME, MUNDANE DAY AND HIS MUNDANE JOB UNTIL HE WORKS HIMSELF TO DEATH AND ITS A METAPHOR FOR CAPITALISM.
TLDR: OK COMPUTER IS THE GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME EXCEPT MAYBE TDSotM AND IT DESERVED TO WIN AND YOU KNOW IT. IT WAS WAY BEFORE ITS TIME AND INSPIRED TOO MANY MODERN DAY GENRES TO COUNT.

The android nodded in silent compliance, ushering in the scientist’s initiative with his signature composure and pragmatism — anything was preferable over being incarcerated in the late Cretaceous period. Momentarily, his chartreuse eyes scanned the horizon, the silhouette of slender necks towering high into the sky, swaying like the palm trees scattered about the Academy in San Francisco, embellished the view. The mountains embracing them climbed high and formed an impressive valley of lush vegetation — a safe haven for herbivores, except that it was not... safe...
His receptors continually received feedback from seismic vibrations either caused by naturally occurring phenomena, a volcano rumbling in the distance, tectonic plates shifting underneath their feet, or the vocal oscillations of sizable land animals communicating with one another, fighting for dominance, for survival... The frequent susurration of the ferns bordering the circumference of the modest lake could host the arrival of a herbivore desperate for a sip of water, or a carnivore stalking the two legged individuals darting around the metallic beast on the edge of the lake, looking for an easy prey to pounce on.
‘I concur. Let us proceed,’ Data said, retrieving his attention to the matter at hand.
The DeLorean had been off by a number of several million years — an understatement, evidently —, a malfunction that they were presently attempting to rectify. Although, he was not unacquainted with solving the conundrum that was the aftermath of a “successful” episode of time travel, he had never traversed through the fabric of time this far into Earth’s past... The only upside to this time travel escapade was that the chances of them violating the Prime Directive were relatively slim, unless, of course, they accidentally terminated the lives of the mammals that were crucial in the evolution of the homosapiens who would later roam the plains of Africa prior to their migrating to other regions of the planet.
‘I believe it is safe to attempt a jump, sir,’ he said, diligently examining the mechanical contraption crammed in the booth of the classic automobile, laying aside the rudimentary devices that had aided him to repair and modify the plutonium-powered time machine. ‘I sincerely hope your vehicle will travel forward in time — if we go further back, we might find ourselves on an Earth during one of its initial stages of formation, when it primarily consisted of molten magma...’
He stressed to himself that he was not deliberately exhibiting signs of pessimism; he was simply emphasising that it was paramount they did not wander deeper into the folds of the past with no way out...

when you get this ask you have to put 5 songs you listen to, post it, then send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers🎶
(I'm too anxious to be picking fave followers right now so just any one who sees this, do it and @ me (or don't))
Here are my current ear worms in no particular order (and the nerd ass reasons I've got them playing on loop)
Songs
Spider-Punk | Anarchy Mix (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) by Boss's Bard
Eyes Wide Shut (with Avril Lavigne & Travis Barker) [Culture Code Remix] 1.25x to 1.50x speed by Illenium
Utopian Futures by Kimya Dawson
No One Dies From Love (Official Music Video) by Tove Lo
Spider Punk Song |"Rogue"| ft. Johnald & KBN Chrollo [Hobie Brown] by DizzyEight
Reasons
my healing potion. exhale with the first big chord. inhale with the second. and then whatever my breath wants to do along with the chords and 4 count guitar strums. This cover has 100% saved me from several meltdowns. (The original canon version is good but the words are not a good calming potion ingredient) .
I love imagining this as a breakup song between MtF Miles and Gwen. She'd get on stage and tear up her artbook as her art of Gwen projected behind her with graffiti all over her Gwens like Xs on her eyes and stuff. When the backup vocals come in near the end, it's Gwen. It's a mutual break up and then Miles does a song to ask out Hobie and everyone is happy <3 .
I feel like Hobie's world would be covered with smog thanks to the unregulated production. So this song is perfect for imagining the spidergang taking Hobie out far from the city to show him the stars. When the sun went down they'd make him close his eyes and take him to the perfect spot and lay down with him. I want to draw it so bad. His head in someone's lap. The others cuddled up around him. They don't play this song or anything because this is a rare moment for them to hear all the animals they aren't normally able to, but maybe they'd sing. Yeah he'd cry. What of it? .
Mostly because the sound and chorus hits (The title and chorus… don’t that just be the way for nearly all of us in the Hobie Brown hashtag? lol cry). But the video is some gay AI in love stuff and I’ve had my Android!Miles fic idea stuck in my head a lot so…….. .
!!!!Freedom Ain't A Thing That Comes Cheap But I'd Rather Pay The Fee!!!! (and like... everything else about this song....)

✄ for the twins please?
Len really hates when everyone forgets to tune their instruments right before a show, because then he gets stuck doing it.
Rin tends to get annoyed with Len cluttering their room with crumpled pages of song lyrics whenever he's working.

PLASMA real time reactions.....
thoughts prior to listening:
Tumblr media
ok let's go
Plasma: cool :) i don't know it's neat. hope it doesn't overall harm the album to have this 80s(???) spacey kind of sound in only some of the songs (flashbacks to cosmic explorer)
Time warp vee one point one: WHY start the album with that awkward unimpactful transition and this mediocre song. i like the po.. popopo in this song though. i can recognize this version is slightly different but not in a way that makes me care about it. probably the worst choice for the first song on an album (excluding the intro) ever, or maybe tied with love the world on triangle.
Polygon wave original mix: i like this song! among the best songs they've released post-level3. never noticed the extremely deep bass beneath the more noticeable bassline. the vocal choppy section feels very tacked on but i still like it. polygon waaaaaaae.... this would be a great song to show to other people to be like this is the music i listen to :) if the music video wasn't shit
Saisei: yes this is another one of the best songs since level3, no that does not mean it fits after polygon wave. i don't try to get my hopes up but it's still surprising how nonsensical ystk's track orders are every time. the buzzy bass is soo good. i always wonder how i would feel about perfume albums if i didn't already know which songs were singles. if i hadn't heard any of these songs before this would be an incredible album but so far there's been basically nothing new so it's just like here's 2 great songs and 1 boring one you already know.
Spinning World: love this song too. i didn't like how it started with the awkward spoken line but within the album i think that was a nice transition. so far this is a very funky album i like it. not funky as in funky but you know what i mean. i especially appreciate how the songs seem to have a lot more intricate details which were to some extent missing in futchure pop. do NOT like how the song just fades out. bad way to end a good song
Mawarukagami: first time listening to this song lol. oh wait no it's not i watched a video of it once. the bassline right after the chorus kind of sounds like the polygon wave bassline which was already... you know. and the guitar(?) during the second verse sounds very much like time warp. not necessarily a bad thing except it sounds too much like kyary. IT'S OVER?? ok. not a bad song but kind of forced emotional/fake deep
Flow: again how is this song even less interesting than time warp. honestly if it hadn't been a single this would've been a decent enough album track but i resent it for being a single. maybe it's my own problem that my enjoyment of songs depends on the context of their release but i don't think that's unique to me. this song sounds like it was made around the same time as nax7iro (thank god that's not on this album). here's a list of everything new this song brings to the table that we haven't heard before on some other song: . the joke is it's nothing
Mugen Loop: i kind of hated this song at first but i have since awoken. it sounds like ystk was having fun on this song. i like the kind of shift in tone halfway through and the slight evil circus sound through the whole thing.
Drive'n the Rain why is it spelled like that: the synths sound very harsh at points. not much to say i don't think i will have the urge to listen to this very often but not bad. this sure as hell does not need to be 6 minutes. that guitar during the bridge was very unusual for perfume and not really in a good way. next song please
Hatenabito: literally nothing to say this sounds like it will be on a level of irrelevancy similar to like. tokimeki lights
Android&: on the polygon wave EP i thought this song sounded kind of basic but after those last two songs i'm thankful for something fun.
Sayonara Plastic World: actually first time listening to this. is that melody supposed to sound like time warp.? idk if i'm just tired and ready for the album to be over buuuuut not getting a lot from this. a significant number of songs on this album (oh the song is over ok that was a completely bizarre way to end the album) had kind of uninteresting melodies so i was thankful whenever they stopped singing and there was some kind of synth solo
Overall:
-reminds me of JPN in the sense that there are a lot of single songs and not much new stuff, and in the sense there is no hard song like game/edge/party maker/story/fusion. and i already typed this earlier but again it kind of sucks i can't appreciate the album for the songs themselves as much just because i know they were released previously as singles but i can't help it. i think this effect lessens the more i listen though so i might start to like it more
-the new songs other than spinning world were very uninteresting
-after first listen i would put this album obviously above cosmic explorer and maybe equal to future pop. the best songs on this album are definitely better than the best of FP and there are more of them, but FP felt very cohesive and to the point, which i appreciate even if the point that album was trying to make was kind of mediocre.
-i think mawaru kagami completely killed the vibe and it didn't recover for the rest of the album, RIP
-feels like i got essentially no new perfume content that i care about through this album. spinning world should count but it was released before the album actually came out sooo
-the album has its issues but overall i think Nonaka Miki from Morning Musume did an impressive job taking over as perfume's producer after nakata yasutaka's tragic accident

But do yall even understand what a masterpiece mugen loop is (perfection of stylistic choices aside).... So the setting is that prfm are singing as androids repeating the same day over and over again, and their memories are reset each time the day is reset. And this setting isn't conveyed through just the lyrics, but also all the little details and conscious decisions in the sound.
Ksyk(i assume) whispering "hajimaru (to start)" is like the programming of the androids, always in the background of their minds, telling them what to do. The bass constantly goes back and forth between the left and right both to represent the looping, as well as to convey this vague uneasiness that the androids feel because something isn't quite right. That backward synth conveys the whole machine-like nature of the world.
At first listen the song sounds like it just generally loops around for the most part. But no verse is alike. They all have differences in the lyrics, vocal melodies and the instrumental. Because no matter how much the system maintains that "the world is a loop", each loop is still different.
In the 4th verse, that backward synth in the background grows even more dissonant, because errors have piled up in the machine. And right after, the bridge comes and the androids have finally gained awareness of the loop. No more "teehee what if were all androids and just didn't know, now wouldnt THAT be crazy?"
"Which universe is mine? A single night has gone on for 200 billion years. Which universe is this? Going beyond tonight, I'll start again" And for the first time, hajimaru isn't whispered, it's sung. Because the androids have gained awareness of the situation. But right after, the backward synth starts getting even more dissonant again, because the machine is going into overdrive to restore the status quo. And we shift back into a bunch of whispered hajimarus because the programming has taken control once again.
"An infinite loop. A silent loop. The world is a loop. An infinite loop." For the final chorus, just as the lyrics say, the background instrumentals are mostly gone, because there's no longer any resistance from the androids. But if you listen closer, there's one specific part in the percussion that's just a little off beat (around 4:10), implying there's been a crack in the machine.
This song is a perfect execution of show and not just tell. Literally high art. Possibly even the most well thought out song in their discography...

From the archives: Margaret Berger's "Robot Song," December 2006
Margaret Berger has created an entire sci-fi universe in this song; it unfolds how I imagine a Philip K. Dick story might if I ever bothered to read Philip K. Dick.
Notice how Berger immediately establishes a familiar parallel universe, very much like our own, where her unspeakable love has very specific implications depending on her the intimacy of her family relationship: Mom and sisters hear that she's in love with someone (not a robot, never a robot), while Dad can't even know that much. The conversational lightness of this first verse is crucial; it's kind of a bait and switch on first listen, since "Dad can't find out I love a robot" doesn't exactly scream TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY. But, like any good melodrama, Berger knows exactly when to hit the right "serious" notes.
Then she establishes the sci-fi framework:
(1) Her love of a robot is forbidden in her society and
(2) As such, she has finally decided to leave the robot.
I imagine them meeting in a park, self-conscious at first, their eyesdarting around looking for judgmental passersby, and when the coast is clear they just hold each other as the world around them dissolves, like Gatsby's final contact with Daisy Buchanan during their first affair.
And there’s new resonance when you realize that "Robot Song" is a duet. The first verse is directed at "you," i.e. the robot. The only thing not directed to the robot is the phrase “I’m in love with a robot” itself, which is more of an existential aside -- why, why, why?
But she returns to the robot in the very next line: "Come to get me when the stars die." Such precise phrasing, "come to get me" over the more colloquial "come and get me." It's little touches like this that sell the drama almost unconsciously, along with Berger’s performance. Presumably, the robot will be alive and ticking when the stars have died and all prejudiced humans have been wiped off the face of the earth, at which point he will find her, also dead, and finally shut down his own microprocessors, since, duh, this is the greatest robo Romeo and Juliet ever told.
Anyway, important to the duet idea -- and this is something I didn’t get on the first few listens -- is that the robot answers her! "You're the only one who makes me feel a thing" is first sung not by Berger herself, but Berger with heavy vocal processing. When she swallows her words on the repetition ("You're the only one that makes me feel a thing, you're the only [one who] ohhhhh") you could hear it (as I sort of hear it) as the closest reaction an android might have to weeping, getting its circuits crossed and skipping like a record. Berger herself, sans robo-filter, sings this line again in the final chorus.
Its meaning changes when she sings it, since the experience of being made to "feel a thing" probably differs from human to robot -- the robot literally can’t feel anything except for this miraculous, forbidden love, whereas Berger means it in the more traditional humanoid sense of hard-heartedness. Another detail in the expanding universe of this song.
The robot gets the parting shot, a haunting epitaph: "Another time, another place, another world..."

HEADCANON MEME
😭- how does my muse cope with sadness?
Android: He doesn't. He just pretends not to feel it until it overwhelms him.
Human: Much like his android counterpart, he pretends not to feel it, along with everything a person needs to be human. He'll stop eating and sleeping for as much as he's able. The only 'human' thing he does is give into his addiction and smoke.
Naga: When he's feeling melancholic, Connor sleeps. Sometimes all day, sometimes for a couple months. Eventually, time will make it go away. Least, that's what he believes.
Mer-Verse: He mopes around everywhere and finds no joy in the things he loves (like stealing).
☕️- what’s my muse’s morning ritual, if any? If they don’t have anything specific then how do they prep for the day?
Android: Connor's only ritual beyond getting dressed and going to work/animal shelter is his chocolate mint plant. Before he ever leaves his apartment, he makes sure to turn it and put it in the window facing the sun, making sure it's only partial shade.
Human: Human Connor drags his ass up, makes his bed perfectly despite being half-asleep, gives his android cat a thirium fish treat for consoling him during the night, and looks for the nearest source of caffeine before going to work. Doesn't matter if he's scheduled or not.
Naga AU: He doesn't have any. He never knows if it will be morning or night when he gets up.
Merman: When he wakes up, he likes to stretch and then go up to find a nice, warm rock to sunbathe on.
🎃- does my muse celebrate holidays? Why or why not?
Android: Yes! He loves holidays and likes to decorate. Seeing the twinkling lights makes him happy and he likes to try to capture that moment of 'magic' that happens during the holidays. It might be a bit commercial, but if it makes him happy, why should it matter.
Human: Once again, Yes! Though, he doesn't decorate his own place. He decorates his dad's. Hank used the festive holidays to try and help Connor forget his poor childhood before he took him in, and went all out. They've been struggling after Cole to get back into it, but things are getting better.
Naga and Merman: Naga doesn't care to celebrate living in isolation and Merman doesn't know what holidays are.
😍- is my muse openly affectionate or more reserved?
Android: Connor tends to be more reserved unless he's in a relationship. He's still learning to express emotions in general, so he keeps a lot to himself.
Human: Reserved. He doesn't want to burden the people who get close to him. However, he also gets more affectionate the longer he's in a relationship. He craves physical affection, even if he tries to deny it.
Naga: Open. He's a powerful snake god. Why would he have a reason to hide his affections?
Merman: OPEN. He doesn't understand boundaries.
🏩- how does my muse handle pain? Do they vocalize their discomfort (verbally or through sound) or do they try to “suck it up” and get through it quietly? Does it depend on the type of pain?
Android: Pain has become a common sensation for the accident-prone android. When it first happened, he didn't handle it very well, having burnt himself on the stove. He couldn't understand why it wasn't going away and it made him panic. Luckily, Hank came home and helped him (and saved his kitchen from being burned down). He tries to grit and bare it, even ignoring serious injuries in favor of his mission.
Human: He tries to ignore it if it will get in the way of his job. He has fainted at work from blood loss. He might mutter curses under his breath. However, if he stubs his toe, he will shout sailor talk at the top of his lungs.
Naga: Pain has become something he's used to. Being 'killed' as many times as he has, he's used to the rough touch of pain.
Merman: Connor panics a bit, trying to find a way to stop the pain. He really doesn't like it. He might cry if it tears at his fins.

Human Connor Verse ~
Tumblr media
Name: Connor Decker
Face Claim: Bryan Dechart
Age: 33
History:  Connor Decker is the younger twin to Collin Decker, the two being close growing up. Collin was known to be the outgoing twin while Connor was introverted and showed signs of having ocd and sensory issues. Both boys were bright and did well in school. As they got older the two formed a band, Collin doing the lead vocals and guitar while Connor played the drums. Connor also enjoyed reading, and contemplated going to college for writing. While Connor’s grades were always above average, he found school boring, having dropped out of college after two semesters. He sought something more challenging, and with some coaxing from Collin, he joined the police academy at the age of 22.
Collin was already a well respected officer, leaving Connor in the shadow of his brother’s success. This never bothered Connor, however. He never felt the need to compete with Collin, the two working together successfully as partners. On the eve of their 27th birthday, Collin was killed during a hit-and-run incident while doing an investigation. Although the driver was properly prosecuted, Connor felt no peace.
After his brother’s death, Connor withdrew from people, finding that he enjoyed the company of androids more. Although he had earned the title of lieutenant, Connor declined the position, having felt that the job rightfully belonged to Collin.
After years of working on his own, Connor was assigned an android partner to aid him in a case involving deviants. He was given a RK800 prototype named "Hank" and works on cases involving androids.
Other:  Connor picked up the habit of smoking. Without a cigarette he becomes shaky and agitated. He likes to keep coins in his pocket, finding the smooth texture of a coin to be soothing, especially in the absence of a cigarette. He  lives in a townhouse, one he had inherited from an aunt. Connor lives alone with his four-year-old beagle named Bonsai, and his tropical fish.

[Vocal Android AU]
I'd been meaning to do something with Fuiro-sama :0 she has too cool of an appearance to not hit with the supervillain beam
so anyway, in the AU, she's basically something like an emotion vampire :> she hypes people up with her singing and eats their positive emotions, leaving them drained afterwards - the only thing that lifts them up is her voice :0 her feeding frenzy has been sapping the citizens of Sapporo of their energy and making her more and more powerful, so naturally, it's up to the Crypton Crew to stop her >:D (can they tho)
