re: Vocaloid ask game

MAYU, Rin, and of course I'm curious about Yukari.

Fave Song

Probably Yairi's Yurikago×Infection. A very 2015's vocarock, meant in the most complimentary way. Honorable mention to *Luna - HITOMEBORE Night, probably one of their most underrated songs.

Ships

Since I don't have a lot of Mayu headcanons and most of my ships are based on how good the voicebank sound together anyway, I'll use this slot to showcase some Mayu multisingers I like, like BLURRY with Gumi and 「Ib」-forever- with Miku and Gakupo.

Fave Design Part

Love the overall gothic concept really, but the doll-mic is pretty inspired.

Headcanon

The only headcanon I have is that she's really good at sewing, since using your doll as a mic does lead to increased wear and tear. If you want to go full yandere Mayu, then she starts practicing on things that aren't her doll...

Rin-chan nau!

Fave Song

Rin has so many good songs so this is a hard question, but the song that left me with the most impression has to be L-tone's morning shift. Satisfying cycles of buildup and release, great balance of quieter and more energetic sections, and full use of all of Rin's V3 appends. I think I saw this on a Vocaloid Ranking honorable mentions section years ago and felt shrimp emotions then.

Ships

Rin being pretty old for a VB means she's got a lot of great multibank songs with pretty much anyone, but I'd be miss if I don't mention RinLen. Especially HitoshizukuxYama's dramatic pieces like Mistletoe. Reverse Rainbow and Summer Idol made me ship MikuRin, and kinoshita has warmed me up to RinUna.

Fave Design Part

The bow is iconic. I'm also a fan of how the V4 design furthered the white/black split of the Kagamines, although I wish the greys on Rin was a bit darker at times.

She might like oranges but she hates peeling them so sometimes she just stands around with it until someone takes pity and peels it for her (usually Len).

My part for the @100kagaminecollab this year !! This was my first time joining and it was lots of fun ! I chose to do the Mistletoe Series because it was some of the first Yamashizuku songs I got into when I started getting really dedicated to art. It’s such a memorable series for me and I still love the songs so much !!

Thank you to the 100 KagaCollab Team for having me !! It’s been a dream to be a part of this collab since I first got into Vocaloid, so I’m very glad it came true :’))

So, I always looked at the Mistletoe Prologue art without paying too much attention to detail; I just thought “Oh yes another illustration by Suzu, I love it. Look, Rin’s got a cool cape and Len’s holding a hat.”

But something I didn’t realize until recently ??
