Anyway here's the Guerrin timeline as best I can piece it together, if it's useful to anyone!

Updated 7/14/23 with corrections & additions.

~8:84 Blessed - Eamon is born. (The Calling - He's 15 at the time of the Battle of West Hill, which occurred in 8:99 Blessed.)

8:99 Blessed - The Battle of West Hill. Arl Rendorn Guerrin, Eamon's father, is killed in action. Maric Theirin is presumed dead but reappears in Gwaren, which is then taken by the rebels. The Battle of River Dane deals a decisive defeat to the Orlesian forces, though the conflict is not completely over. It will take several more years to completely drive out the occupying lords. However, Emperor Florian officially withdraws support for King Meghren.

9:02 Dragon - Eamon, 18, returns to Redcliffe to claim his place as arl, but find it still under Orlesian control, and works with the rebel forces to reclaim it. Isolde, the daughter of one of the Orlesian governors, is sympathetic to the rebels and becomes infatuated with Eamon, who does not return her feelings; nevertheless, she feeds information to the rebels, and chooses to stay in Ferelden after her family is driven out. Isolde is four years younger than Eamon, making her 14 at the time. (WoT v.2 p. 102, 106)

9:02 Dragon - Maric kills the usurper King Meghren in a dual, officially ending the occupation and winning Ferelden's freedom. (There is a noted discrepancy in the dates between the epilogue of The Stolen Throne, and World of Thedas vol. 1, the latter of which puts the duel at 9:00 Dragon. Given other events, the later date seems more plausible.)

~9:08 Dragon - Six years after their initial meeting, Eamon (24) meets Isolde (20) again in Denerim. They quickly become involved and are married. (WoT v.2 p. 103)

9:10 - Alistair is born to Fiona and King Maric. His parents give him up to be raised at Redcliffe Castle, inventing a story about his mother being a human serving girl. (The Calling.)

~9:20 Dragon - Isolde becomes pregnant with Connor after difficulty conceiving. This causes rumors about Alistair (10) being Eamon's bastard to resurface, and Eamon sends him away to a monastery to spare his wife's feelings. Connor is born soon after.

~9:29 Dragon - Short of taking his vows as a templar, Alistair (19) is conscripted into the Grey Wardens. (WoT v.2 p.79)

~9:30 Dragon - Connor Guerrin (10) shows signs of magic. Isolde hires an apostate, Jowan, to tutor Connor in secret. Eamon (46) is poisoned by Jowan and falls ill. (Origins.)

~9:31 Dragon - Following the Blight, Eamon decides to stay in Denerim, serving as an advisor to the throne, eventually declaring his brother Teagan the new Arl of Redcliffe. (Origins, WoT v.2 p.104)

Let's see how closely it parallels TPN

Earlier, I mentioned that I had bought vol20 and an epilogue volume of The Promised Neverland and then ordered a copy of the other 19 volumes.

Well, yesterday I picked up the six volumes that have arrived. The order they arrive in is so random. I received vols 1, 3, 4, 10, 14, and 19. Well, at least I have vol1, so I can start reading. And it's also good I was able to pick these up and pay for them once their Labor Day sale had begun, so I got 25% off the cover price, instead of the usual 10% off for manga.

It's funny to me that when I first started getting very deeply into Mother3 theory for Kuroshitsuji that people would say they hate the theory on the grounds that it means Yana-san is relying so much on someone else's work. I still get the occasional dismissal of my theory for that reason... or even an accusation that I'm saying she's copying or plagiarizing. I keep having to say it's not plagiarism or flat-out copying.

I wonder what those same people think about the current assignment and how closely it seems to follow not just a particular part of Mother3 but also The Promised Neverland. 🤔

Well, soon I'll be able to see for myself just how closely F. O. L. Orphanage's activities match with TPN.

important question considering we are at the endgame of our adventure, are we going to get a third (and most likely last) chance to hug Lynera once everything is said and done in vol 14 (or maybe a potential epilogue)? (also just 11d until vol 12 release, are we excited or are. we. EXCITED? :DD)

There's Fallout-style end cards at the end of volume 14 for the major choices you've been making (salvation/revolution plus some other key decisions) throughout the game, as well as a little bit of a very brief mini epilogue.

Maybe not specifically a chance to hug Lynera, but at least to see her and the others again, depending on what kind of choices you've been making.

Yes. Season 4 will be the last one for YM.

If you sign up for the Kakaopage app (there's online tutorials), you can read the webnovel for "free": a free chapter every 12 hours. The main story is a total of 234 chapters (222 on Naver). The Epilogue (first set of side stories) is another 11 chapters. The special side stories (second set of side stories) is another 8 chapters.

In terms of where we currently are: - Chapter 117 ends at Webnovel Chapter 192 on KKP - if you have the volumes it's in Volume 5, somewhere in the middle of Chapter 14: Hide and Seek

Given the current pacing, I expect the main story to end in about 23 chapters. If we're lucky, we can get another ~ 6 chapters for the epilogue, and ~ 4 for the special side stories, for a total of 33ish chapters. But at this point, only season 4 has been confirmed. For my speculation/predictions, I'm certain when the series returns after the break (ETA May 2024), that chapter 118 will have a nice RupeLali hug. After that, will just be constant RupeLali interactions.

~Probably another 7 chapters of RupeLali meeting each other occasionally, trying to sort out feelings and what they mean to each other/re-establish whatever bond they have now. Rupert trying to gain courage to actually appear in front of her without scaring her off/showing her his sincere feelings for her. ~THEN THE FOUNTAIN SCENE. Lari's trying to get used to being around Rupert again and being truly honest and trusting him again. ~THEN THE RUPELALI CONFESSION!!! Just overall cuteness around because Rupert is now free to be as flirty as he wants, with her approval :D ~THEN THE ICONIC PROPOSAL

~ then until the end: Some plot stuff, but also a cute official on-screen Rupelali date downtown, them flirting, Lari's announcement as the Empress, off-screen first night/intimacy, off-screen wedding, with the series ending with Lari recalling what happened in TL1 AND TL2, and is overall happy she's here where she is with Rupert despite all the odds :) The Epilogue chapters are basically pure cuteness as well, with them being newlyweds but still acting like a cute couple. The special side stories has them being more of parents, but still some cute parts. But yes, to make up for all the pain and suffering of the first 3 seasons, most of the plot heavy things have been revealed/the truth exposed, so now it's time for our couple to finally get the time they deserve to heal, grow, and find each other again :)))

This story is literally the definition of slow-burn, because Vol 5 and 6 are regarded as the best parts of YM because how good the two of them are together, and how meaningful it is for them to get together.

Non-stop rupelali for season 4, lets gooooooooooooo :D

Digimon Adventure 02 (Manhua) - Vol. 2

Soooo dulll -snore- This would/should have been something I could have read in like an hour, but since I really wasn't enjoying it it took weeks instead. Luckily, it's over with this volume! Obviously, I do not recommend picking this one up.

Ch. 8

-They're really just not bothering with characterization like...at all. Other than maybe Daisuke and Ken, the other characters just react to things. If I was a newbie, I couldn't tell you a single thing about their personalities, likes/dislikes, motivations, etc.

-More gag dialogue in this chapter: Aquilamon says "Yargh, my organs!" when attacked (very Teen Girl Squad) and Daisuke says BlackWarGreymon needs "one of those chicken soup for the soul books" lol.

-I will say, the art has been consistently great and this volumne started off with a really nice 2 page spread of the 02 gang. At least it's not a complete flop.

Ch. 9

-I don't think TK's trauma and subsequent extra hatred for dark things is as interesting a bit of character development as the writers think it is. TK hates evil stuff? Wow...so does everyone lol.

-Not going to lie, I was kind of hoping they would make a dumb joke about how weird Shakkoumon's design is. (At least to the American eye).

Ch. 10

-Well I don't want to spoil things for myself, but I just realized that Qinglongmon is "one of 4" holy digimon and we haven't met the other 3 yet! I wonder when they'll show up...

-In this chapter they say "57.4 digital power" which...I have no idea what that means?? It sounds like it might be a reference to an old radio station or something, but google told me nothing. Hurray for dated dialogue!

Ch. 11

-They blasted right past the world tour arc in record speeds so it had absolutely zero impact. Also, every time they introduce a new villain, they're destroyed like 2 panels later. No stakes ever basically.

-I think they're just making up slang now. When Imperialdramon (fighter mode) shows up, Daisuke's like "it's nacho!" The fuck does that mean??? I even googled this and got nothing.

Ch. 12

-I had completely forgotten about Ken using his inner darkness to defeat Daemon. Of course, they completely cut out the bit about the dark ocean in the manga, so it makes a little less sense here (not that it made much sense to begin with lol)

-More made up slang. Daisuke calls Ken "bizzah"?? (I was born in 1992 and I've never heard that in my life).

Ch. 13

-I get that the name "MaloMyotismon" is supposed to be from the Spanish mal for "bad" (I guess), but it just makes me think of marshmallows instead lol. Not very threatening.

-For a second there I thought Oikawa transformed into MaloMyotismon, but I guess it was more like MaloMyotismon came out of him? My memory of this part is pretty blurry.

Ch. 14

-Okay never mind, they changed things so that when they killed MaloMyotismon, they killed Oikawa too. Pretty different from the anime, but I guess they were running out of pages lol

-They had Daisuke narrate the epilogue instead of TK, which actually makes more sense. It really bugs me how everyone had at least one kid, as if that's mandatory. A majority of my friends are child-free and I like to think realistically at least one out of the 6 kids would be too (especially since they're Japanese lol). Oh well, silly fantasy stories are gonna be silly.

I'm giving this a 2 out of 10. I want my time back >:/

A quick summary of what I was able to read in August!

Finished:

Aoharu x Kikanjuu by NAOE (volumes 14-18)

I love this manga! It was really cool that during the second TGC we got to know all the other teams and their motivations ^^ The ending was maybe a bit abrupt... I'd love to know what happens to all these characters later! But then I liked the epilogue :)

Sachi-iro no One Room Gaiden: Seikai no Meitantei by Hakuri

It's a spin-off depicting the adventures of detective Matsubase three years prior to the events of Sachi-iro no One Room. The first half of the story was weird but fun, the second half was "well, that escalated quickly..." but it was still interesting, even though I missed the "old" Aketoyo - him teaming with Matsubase got us such wonderful dynamic!

Osamu Dazai’s Entrance Exam by Kafka Asagiri

I have a problem with Mr Asagiri's prose - it just... doesn't flow that well? Maybe it's an issue of translation. Still, I'm grateful we've got all these light novels explaining so much about the BSD characters' actions and motivations :)

Moriarty by Anthony Horowitz

After the brilliant House of Silk, this one was kind of a let down... I suspected a certain trope being there, but I missed the issue of whom it concerned by miles - and I didn't really like the actual resolution. :)

Summer Ghost by Otsuichi, Yoshi Inomi, Loundraw

Yet another manga that made me emotionally compromised... oh well :') Perfect for a late summer reading.

Hi I was just wondering when is the KSB 14-7 comic coming out?

It isn't. 14-6 was the epilogue of vol 14 so that volume is finished. The tankouban is coming out in June so there will be some extras released then.

Takanaga will be writing volume 15 but she usually takes off a few months between volumes so we don't know when that will start yet.

However, I already felt quite reluctant to put her through that. However, I must make sure that I survive, at the very least until I am able to fulfill the ambition of us Founders. And the web spans more than a single spider can make! Confusing? Maybe that’s the idea. And yes, all of these guys are characters one could guess.

As for other announcements, it HIATUS TIME! EP 1 is doneand I’m qite satisfied with it, but it’s not over, not by a long shot. That said, before I move on to episode 2 I want to plan some things, I need to write the script (Ep 1 had a script, but I stopped writing when Danny arrived to the McFist pyramid) and I want to have a better guide right now. I also need to draw the cover pages, which will be a little more elaborate than the regular ones, and I will draw 2 variants. Not to mention I currently have a full time job AND a part time job, so time is scarce. And I want to draw some other things, and that requires time.

So, all in all, I belive the hiatus may last between 1 and 3 month, give or take a few weeks. 

And final thing, when I started this fan-project, I honestly didn’t expect any sort of following, for a number of reasons, But after managing to finish over 100 pages and seeing people enjoy the comic, I’ve gotta say, thank you! Im glad you’ve been with me these last few years, and I hope you can continue enjoying the comic for the time to come, cause it’s not over, not by a long shot!
