are you watching death note :0
Reading it! I checked out the first two volumes the other day and have finished the first one--I'll knock out the other today, and then I've got up to vol...6? on hold, so just gotta wait a few days for those to show up.
I may then watch it once I'm done, just to get the full experience :)

I’ve been thinking about how I’d section witch hat into arcs and I have a preliminary setup:
Volume 1-3: Introduction; you meet the characters, world, and main conflict.
Volume 4-5: Romonon arc; first conflict with Big Systematic forbidden magic. Also Richeh’s arc: the main conflict is whether it is valuable/worth it to study what came before you (cat man, Richeh can’t fight, Eunice’s preparations) and comes down definitively that it is.
Volume 6-8: Disability arc; not self-contained. Introduces the second main theme aside from education, which is Lack Of Access (to education and to other things). Starts off with beldaruit physically unable to access most of the city he lives in (sealchair too wide for the halls) and progresses onto qifrey (imminent visual impairments and social ostracism) and Tartah and Coustas who cannot access knowledge to improve their lives (medicine and magic).
Volume 9-[ongoing]: Justice arc; addresses who deserves to be able to access magic. Coustas? The knights? The king? The people? Begins to morph the question of deserving magic to the question of whether this is magic that deserves to be done, as in: is this magic something that improves a life, and can you trust everyone’s judgement on what does/doesn’t improve a life?

Vash uses the converged Gate to enhance his bullets – similarly to how he uses his powers to enhance his bullets prior to the final battle with Knives in the manga.

It would be nice if we could get a Volume 9 Director's Cut. Or at least, even if the missing scenes from Chapters 7-11 aren't fully animated, the animatics for them (like the one for Chapter 12) are reinserted where they would have gone. I already love V9 a lot but I still feel like the ending was rather rushed and kinda janky, so seeing some form of what we were supposed to get (before budget cuts and the Justice League movies got in the way) would be really nice.

I caved and bought a subscription to j novel, I've now burned through all official channels of read the apothecary diaries light novels, and finished off volume 11/arc 9 via the web novel tls. Which honestly wasn't a terrible exercise, comparing the two I definitely think the official translation and general light-novel editing bump does wonders for the story and is worth the price of admission. Now the decision I have to make is, do I burn through the rest of the web novel? Or just wait and read 12 as it releases?

Willow’s takeover as the Slayer concludes here!
While Xander gets ready for a monstrous confrontation, he finds a new one in his relationship as well… a fight that could mean the end in more ways than one.
