Tau Lewis’s Monumental Textile Masks Envision a Mythical Post-Apocalyptic Transformation

Translating to “the voice of the people is the voice of god,” Vox Populi, Vox Dei is artist Tau Lewis’s reimagining of historic systems and principles. The Latin phrase is often associated with the British Whig party and the establishment of secular democracies throughout Europe, although Lewis hones in on the saying’s lingering religious reference as she envisions enormous characters who’ve emerged from an apocalypse.

15. What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?

There is definitely a marked difference between Public King Ptolemy Caesarion, and just Caesarion. The King is the King, he takes that all very seriously, he's calm, controlled, and does his job perfectly and to a T. Not as many people know/see regular Caesarion, most people are only interested in the royal factor as a thing, and don't as much care about the person behind it. The person who was willing to be NICE to Antonii to do something special for his best friend (THAT HE DID NOT EVEN SORTA HAVE THE HOTS FOR AT THE TIME), that would never admit under pain on torture how much his dad's shit fecked with his head, or is actually a VERY good Greek dancer.

18. Who do they love truly, 100% unconditionally (if anyone)?

Depends if one means in a general sense or Romantic. Romantic, one person, his girlfriend/future Queen Bean. General? His moms/Auntie Iras (yeah he probably calls her that), most of his Greek Family, maybe a person or two in the Italian side but most of them are assholes. Oh and OBVIOUSLY someday his delightful little army of children. 7 of them. You're welcome Italy.

He's probably gotten a LOT of weird or out there gifts, he's a King and the number of things he gets is ridiculous. He once got a large bag Kopi Luwak, which he of course politely thanked the person for and never drank. I'm sorry but POO coffee? He's a rich weirdo who likes his coffee, but even he isn't that weird.

37. What’s a secret they haven’t told serious romantic partners and don’t plan to tell?

He's had exactly ONE truly serious one, and she literally knows everything about him. It's physically impossible to keep secrets from her for very long, and frankly he doesn't intend to either.
