my thoughts on the Walker pilot
so I just watched Walker because I wanted to form my own opinions on it, here’s some of my thoughts : the show itself is fine. I don’t really have a problem with the show itself but I don’t love where Jared got his inspiration for it from. When it comes to what’s going on at the border there isn’t a gray area. I feel sorry for the people being put in cages and being separated from their families, not the people putting people in cages. I don’t care if it is their duty. What they’re doing is wrong and if they really had such a big problem with it and it went against their moral code so much, they should quit. They should actively fight against what’s happening. I’m not going to continue watching the show because it’s not really my taste but I’m also not going to send hate or death threats to any of the actors or actresses working on the show.
edit : I am now realizing how this reads. I make it seem like I believe Jared isn’t sorry for the people in cages but instead only sorry the cops. I intended it to be read as “I don’t really have a problem with the show itself but I don’t love where Jared got his inspiration for it from. When it comes to what’s going on at the border there isn’t a gray area.” end paragraph. and then I continue onto my thoughts about the border situation. sorry for the miscommunication but my opinion still stands.
