I haven't really thought of how these two would have met, whether it would have been while Alan as a civilian or as a villain. But like, Alan's a charmer, and usually gets what he wants. How far back do you wanna go?  Here’s a beginning middle and end.  (Beginning is loose, I technically started earlier, but this is the earliest without having to scan my old sketchbooks)

2009 - This is the oldest thing I can find that’s on record.  DIdn’t have a tablet or any drawing software.  Photoshop was purely for “color correction” on traditional pieces.  Just winging it really (I still just wing it, but at least it’s more informed winging now)

2012 - About two years after getting a tablet.  Any and all art practice is still intermittent as it’s still very much a hobby.  Getting acquainted with digital tools, lighting, proportions, etc.  Still have a thing for flowing motions and stuff.  Heavy black lines are less about style and more about hiding my inability to apply interesting line weight.  (Also was getting into the con scene around this time too)

2015 - Smash 4 is recently a thing so I was in the swing of things there.  More comfortable doing digital work regularly at this point.  Getting into robits, but not knowing the working inards so joints and mechanics are weak.  Was pretty proud of this back then.  Now, still happy with the impact it has, but can spot a lot more of the problems.

2019 - Most recent thing as of this post.  Things I’m actively trying to work on in this piece:

1) Trying to clean up my line work as I’ve been too reliant on static line color and weight for too long.

2) Anatomy.  Both in knowledge and rending.  Something I will probably be working on and revisiting till the day I die

3) Trying out new coloring methods.  These pieces use more warm and light contrast as well as splashes of accompanying colors to try and highlight primary colors.

4) Nip tape
