Five ideas for a school strike

We're cautiously optimistic that our ballot has beaten the thresholds. By Monday 16th of January we will know the result and announce our first strike dates. To build momentum we'll need to hold school meetings as quickly as possible. Meetings focused on engaging members and building for our first day of action.

We need to start by asking people not "will you strike?" but "what can you do on the day?". The more members who are actively involved, the more activists we'll have to drive future days of action. A clear plan will make it easier to recruit people to the union and to the strike day.

1. Pickets as protests

Every area has a school in it. Every school should have a visible picket. A picket with union flags and banners raising our demands for fair pay and proper funding.

Guidelines around strikes state that there should be no more then six pickets standing by 'an entrance' but there is no limit on the number of members who can join a picket. With enough people we can picket the entrance and have a presence at the busiest points near the school focused on the wider public. Our pickets should have a whiff of a spirit of protest about them with music and leaflets to explain why we're out. The more people on the picket the more energy it will have, but even with two it's worth doing.

Pickets need to start early enough that anyone working on the strike day is aware they'll have to cross it. Ideally you want at least one person ready to put the argument about why to support the strike to anyone planning to go in.

Things to organise in advance: Communicate the times the picket will start and finish and a way of people signing up for when they can join from and to. Someone to sort and bring music. Someone to ask the local district for flags and materials. Some volunteers to make a banner to have at the most visible location on the picket. If there's going to be enough people then someone to contact the local press.

2. Strikers' breakfast

Most schools have a local cafe or coffee shop that staff use. A coffee and sit down provides a space for those that picketed to talk about how it went and those who weren't confident this time to dip their toe in. Spaces to 'assemble' and talk outside the routines of work or socialising with friends is central to consolidating a union group. If travelling into a city consider arranging an assembly nearer the school for people to travel together and one nearer the protest for people who live further afield.

4. Book a space/table for a social

A place to get together and relax at the end of the demo. The most important part of taking part if forging new connections based on taking action. A space for conversations is key to forming a school group. Strike days should have a sense of fun and celebration.

Things to organise in advance: Someone to find a venue (a pub, bar or cafe) and book a table. Communicating the time you expect to get there and letting people know if they do food.

5. A plan for the next dates

The best time to sign people up for further action is when they've been lifted by taking action. Before the first strike day we need a plan for the next ones - and a school meeting before then if we need to reach out to more staff.

Building momentum is key. That means trying to get members to increase their involvement in future strike days and reaching out to those that didn't strike this time. Taking part in the day should give more members the confidence to convince others they should join the union and join the action. Ultimately we want everyone who's working in a school to strike. That means building a network which can carry discussions beyond the existing union group and throughout the school.

Things to organise in advance: A rough plan for the next days of action and a way of signing people up. A target list of people for other members to follow up. Who do we want to be more involved next time? Who might be convinced to take responsibility for doing something next time? Who didn't support us this time but might be convinced to support the next one?

Tom got off the bed and sat in the middle, watching his four boys sleep. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he leans down and gave each of the boys a kiss.

"They're angels when they're asleep, but once they get up its chaos.."

Max notices the camera in the house, watching them with a curious gaze. He poked his father's back, trying to gain his attention.

"What's that?" He questions, Tom looks around and smiled at what he was pointing at. "Not sure bub, what do you think it is?"

"Dinosaur~"

Tom laughed at that, he put the boy down and watched as he runs to the camera, he watched as Max licked the camera, "Oi, don't lick that. It's not to eat"

Nodding towards his father, he went to poke it instead. Maxton was amazed by the camera.

Max went to the other end of the room and played with the other set of 'dinosaurs'. When the camera moved, Maxton froze, wondering if he was seeing things. He was surprised. He carefully studies the 'dinosaur' He moved around and watched as the camera moves with him.

Feeling a bit scared, he goes to the joint kitchen, to stay with his father. He goes to his high chair and climbs on it. He watched as Tom prepares the food.

"You hungry?"

"Yes"

As Tom scrambles the egg, Max started singing, "Food, food, food, food~"

Hearing Maxton's loud singing, Chase got up from his sleep. He sat on the bed, watching the room.

Chase Spencer Holland: 27 Months old

Eldest of the four

The most bold and athletic one out of the four.

Tom came into the room and picked him up, giving him a good morning kiss on his cheeks. "Chase is up"

He carried the boy to the living room watching as Maxton run past him. Chase grabbed the vacuum cleaner from the living room and handed it to his father, he jumped when Tom put it on.

"Let's catch Chase," Tom said as he ran around trying to catch the boy with the vacuum. The loud screams woke up Edward who was now standing by the fence. Realizing that no one is paying attention to him, he shakes up the fence making even more noise.

The second child of the four.

Hearing Tom's yell woke up the last sleeping child. Jacob walked quietly to the fence and stood there watching everyone playing.

Jacob Jaxton Holland: 27 months old

The third child of the four.

The outgoing one, always ready to talk to people.

He watched as his father ignores him and goes into the kitchen.

Chase, while he was walking he notices his other brother behind the fence. He runs into the kitchen and grabs Tom's attention. He grabbed his hands and carried him to the fence.

"Ah, sorry. I told you to let me know if you're up okay?"

Tom grabbed his four children and carried them to the kitchen so that they could have their breakfast.

After eating, Tom tried brushing the boy's teeth, keyword tried. Maxton and Jake didn't like brushing their teeth. Tom had to lock Maxton between his legs, trapping the boy in order to brush his teeth.

When the boys were dressed, Tom heads into the kitchen to clean up the mess they had made. his room to change into his outwear. While he was doing that, Chase, Ed, Jake, and Max was in the other room playing with their toys. Chase and Jake were in the corner playing with the building blocks while Maxton was in the folding mat laying down. Edward, being the mischievous one, took the end of the mat and flipped it over, turning Maxton over. He then stands on top of the mat, crushing his brother.

Hearing Maxton cry, Tom enters the room and frowns at the scene. He grabbed Edward's hand and pulled him off of the mat, then with his free hand, he went to pick up the crying child.

"Ed, Ed. Stop picking on your little brother. Go hug him, now" Seeing that the boy didn't want to listen, he pushed the two boys together, trying to make them hug. That made Ed cry, not wanting to cooperate, Tom took him into the other room, excluding him from the playroom and put him in the corner.

"Listen. you can not be bullying your little brother. That's not what brothers do. You wouldn't like someone doing that to you right?"

"Good, now I want you to go inside and say you're sorry" Nodding his head, Ed grabbed Tom's hand and they both head back to the playroom. Tom watched as Ed runs up to his brother and hugs him. Maxton being the soft one out of the four, returned the hug and kissed his brother.

Before closing the gate, Tom turned towards his sons and said. "Don't fight okay?"

Jake slide halfway on the slide while Chase pushed the toy slide, showing off how 'strong' he is. Maxton goes to the corner to play with the stuffed bears they had. Ed was in the corner, playing with the building blocks.

Chase climbs up on the steps of the slide and plays with the buttons on the walls. Jake noticing came and asked him what he was doing but he was ignored. His eyes widen when he saw that Chase was playing with the remote.

"Put it back" Ignoring his brother, Chase kept on playing with the remote. Having enough, Jake climbs the steps and grabs the remote from his brother. Not liking that, Chase grabbed it back which started an argument between the two. Ed watches the two play with the remote.

"You'll get hurt, put it back!" But Chase ignored his brother's second warning. Maxton came over, holding one of the stuffed toys in his hand, climbs the steps, and stood with his other two brothers.

Feeling anxious at how quiet the room is, Tom went to check on them. When he saw what they were doing he yelled

"Hey, hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?" The three boys froze, not expecting their dad to come in. "You naughty boys!" Tom pushed back the slide to the corner of the room.

After putting on the other three hat's Tom was feeling frustrated with his second oldest. Ed thought his father was playing with him, so every time Tom would try to put the hat on his head, the boy would move, giggling. Having enough, Tom put the boy flat on the ground and strap him down, locking him, he raised the boy's head and slipped the hat on. Feeling satisfied, he got up, grabbed all of their hands, and headed out the door. They followed their father like little ducklings outside towards their vehicle.

Tom walks out of the house rolling the car train with, Chase, Ed, Jake, and Max on it. He sat on the bike and peddle his way.

"Wow, this is a good workout!" He exclaimed peddling around the neighborhood, he talked about the colours of the grass and the different types of cars.

Tom put all four of his kids in the toy train seats, in order of Chase, Ed, Jake then Max, then he put himself on the bike and peddles away.

As he peddles, he was showing them the different types of objects around the area. Everyone was mostly hearing the yells of Jake and Edward.

"Since I'm an actor and I would need to be um fit for the roles, I'd need to go to the gym, but I have four kids, and it would be difficult trying to take them to the gym, plus it isn't safe, so I had to find another method. This seems to be easier."

Tom peddles quickly, feeling the breeze dry his sweaty forehead. He peddles by a bridge that's connected to the park, he slowly rolled up on the bridge then went down quickly, hearing the joyful screams coming from the back.

Soon they made it inside the park where the bathing fountain was located. He takes out three of the boys and removed their helmets, then handing them a ball to play with. A few fans walked up to him and asked if they could get an autograph.

Chase quickly takes the ball out of his brother, Jack's hand, and runs to the fountain, loving the feeling of the water on his back. Runs Ed and Jack following after.

When he takes out Maxton, he realizes that the boy's diapers were full, "Oh my god, seriously?" He holds the boy and grabbed the diaper bag and heads to the male's washroom.

While he was changing Maxton, Jake ended up wandering off on his own. Chase somehow removed his clothes and was bathing naked, Ed, who didn't want to get wet, came over, trying to sheld his brother's nudity from people.

While Jake was wondering, he ended up talking to a few people, making him laugh at how cheerful and energetic he was, but because of his socializing, he got himself lost.

"Pa?" He questions, he walks to a tent filled with people to see if he was there but got sad when he wasn't, he counties looking around for him.

Tom came out with his youngest son, he looked around as to where his other sons were. He found Chase and Ed together, he quickly grabbed the boy, trying to cover him. When he realized that one of his children was missing he started yelling. "Jake!"

The said boy heard his name and came running towards his father, he fell but got back up and kept running. Seeing his son running, Tom, (also holding Chase) ran to the child, he grabbed him and carry the two back to where they originally were.

He put Jake down who went by Max and started playing, he put Chase on his lap, trying to put on the boy's pants for him. "Keep your clothes on" Nodding his head, he gave his father a cheeky smile.

He put the boy down and took off his socks and shoes he went by Ed who was standing on the side, grabbed the boy and carried him to the fountain, realizing that his son was scared of the fountain, he tried his best to make him feel safe.

He goes and picks up, Chase, the trio were playing until Max came, wanting to be picked up as well, Tom feeling unsure, although he struggled, he picked up the three boys. Then Jake came to him, "You want a lift?"

Nodding his head, he made grabby hands at his dad. Feeling Chase move to his back, Tom picked up Jake amazing everyone around him, started taking pictures of the family.

After a while, it was time to change. Tom took off Maxton's shirt while he was doing that, he noticed that Jake wasn't there. "Jake! Jake!"

The camera switches to the boy, holding a ball running to the girl's washroom. He watched the girl's smiling at them, he smiled back. While changing Max, Chase decided to follow his little brother. They both entertain into the girl's washroom, smiling and talking to them.

Max was changed, then Tom quickly went and change Ed, after changing him, he straps the two on the train then heads off to find his other sons.

"Chase! Jake! God these two will get me old quick. Chase! Jake!"

When the two saw their dad running towards them, they went back into the girls' washroom but were stopped by one of the mothers. Tom thanked them and walked away with his sons, trying to change them as quickly as he can.

After having lunch in a restaurant Tom took his ducklings home and changed them for the evening. Night came and it was almost their bedtime. In the playroom, Tom took out a toy goal post

"Okay so this is a goal post, you kick the ball in it" Ed took the ball and push it in the goal post, screaming happily.

Feeling tired, Tom laid on the ground trying to take a small rest, but that was soon ended when Ed throws himself on his dad's stomach. He covered his head when Jake went to sit on his face. "You guys are hurting daddy, he needs his face"

Feeling a bit annoyed, Jake and Ed went to the camera dinosaur.

Why, there's no need for me to evade the topic, for you see: my canon Jet Star and Party Poison are both scene and an emo kids at heart! Also music-wise. Really, all they're missing is the well-defined aesthetic, which is partly because the fashion associated with midwestern emo is so Battery City, and because clothes don't tend to stay unscaved for long, so sooner or later everything ends up looking like it was lifted off a crust punk's bedroom floor.

Party Poison's love affair with emo started one faithful evening, when au and Dr. D were alone at the station and the pre-teen ventured into the recording booth to find D doing one of his bi-yearly record sorting sessions. When the Doctor notices aum, he of course asks if au wants to help him sort through the records whose covers are far too faded to be discernable anymore— "it's a mindless task, but it's got to be done sometimes or I wouldn't hear the end of it on air!" Not having anything better to do, Poison accepts and together they go through quite a few records, labeling them until Poison lands on a record from the 90s— not emo, but post-hardcore— which ends up becoming the gateway to aum getting into proper emocore and its dissolution across multiple branches of punk music.

Fashion-wise, black simply is Poison's color of choice because blood doesn't stain it easily, and because it is a form of going directly against BL/i dress code as much as wearing all neon colors. In Battery City and most neutral towns, dark colors are seen as somber and only fitted for formal wear or officials in positions such as exterminators, whereas light colors are seen as uplifting and appropriate for everyday wear as they encourage positive thinking and productivity. When Poison first came into the Zones most everything au knew about killjoys was what au was told by BL/i or the people in aur neighborhood (so nothing good) and so aur first instinct was to reject the color, but the white was also no longer safe, so au turned to the color black— doubling down on it to the point of having aur entire wardrobe be black as you'd expect someone at aur age at the time to do.

Jet Star's introduction to scene was at an after party at the Nest, where most people who were not quite old enough even by Zone standards to partake in certain activities or were just sensitive to strobing lights and such gathered outside and played cards/watched others play cards/bet who'd win at cards, while passing around a hand-held stereo to anyone with an 8-track or compact disk on them. As Star didn't quite have anything to his name yet other than kandi bracelets (which are a part of Zone culture as PLUR was kept alive through the live music scene) and a half-dead novelty lighter, he watched from the sidelines, commenting on the different matches with other joys and just soaking in the music playing and how it kind of clashed with the bass and fragments of other tunes from inside the Nest itself. The music played was purposefully shit, no matter how much the person who put it on talked about it like it was the coming of Destroya, but Star still found himself enjoying quite a few of the neon pop and techno and industrial-influenced tracks, which is where his whole music sense really stemmed from.

Fashion-wise, Star simply really enjoys "proper" killjoy fashion that is usually worn out at bars and concerts— brightly colored and pattern-heavy, layered in uncommon ways, but still very much oriented towards easily-readable and clunky shapes, with complex hairstyles and accessory combinations. It is hard at times to draw a line between his more glam rock inspired looks and the proper scene ones as they overlap in certain areas aesthetic-wise when Star is the one pulling them off, but then again, what is Zone culture if not genre (and gender) anarchy? He's also really into Gloomy Bear merch and the whole creepy-cute aesthetic, and has many many Gllomy Bear, Sanrio and rhinestone sticker sheets in one of the drawers in the garage

Ninjago Au: The Fall of the Ninja

Since I don’t have a lot of inspiration these days and it’s been forever since I posted anything, I’m going to share my Ninjago AU outline! I’m hoping I can use the concept to make a mini X reader series like I did for the Ego Minecraft AU!

I honestly wrote this for fun because I’m a big fan of making Dark AU’s! If you’re not interested, you can scroll by, I don’t mind. For those who are interested, please note that this outline has spoilers of Ninjago Season 0-15.

Description: After the events of Season 6 and the reset, Nadakahan managed to screw with the timeline when Jay made his wish resulting in the Ninja splitting up and becoming something they feared, the darkness itself.

The fate of Cole: After the rest of Season 6, he got his body back. However due to Nadakahans meddling, he remained a ghost and now haunts near where he turned into a ghost, forgetting the majority of his Ninja life and only helping those who are lost near his area.

The fate of Lloyd: The reset of Season 6 spiraled the events of Season 7 which led to Season 8 through 10 to ensue. But due to the timeline being screwed up, Lloyd went on his own, feeling confident to do the duty of the Ninja alone.

That’s when he meets Harumi who of course tricks him while her gang took the masks in the shadows. Once Lloyd finds out what Harumi is doing, he breaks a very special code of the Ninja. To never kill. He kills Harumi which results in him awakening his Onni side. He witch hunted the sons of the Garmadon and now hides in the cave where the last mask resided, swearing to protect it while he fought his onni instincts and the grips of loneliness. (Note, he is half onni.)

___________________ The fate of Zane: Zane was made to protect others, but what if the Mechanic got a hold of him and started messing with his coding and what not, basically erasing Zane and becoming someone completely different. He became someone cold and hurtful towards others. We see this as he severely hurts Mechanic during another experiment procedure and walks away, taking one of the Mechanic's many hats and even taking a prototype face place meant for him. With Zane’s last moments as himself, he brought himself to his father’s lab before he completely turned into someone different.

Someone who calls himself Enaz.

The fate of Nya: She decided to go back to the smith shop with Kai while also occasionally visiting Jay. On her way to one of said visits, the endless sea called her and she listened. She drove all the way to the beach where the endless sea lay and slowly entered the water, her body becoming part of the sea and of course becoming a water Nymph.

She would never be the same, and the sudden disappearance of Nya devastated her brother and her boyfriend, also her Yin.

The fate of Jay: After the disappearance of his girlfriend and beloved Yin, his mental state took a turn for the worst. He drowned himself in inventing which worried his adoptive parents.

Eventually, Edna pulls Jay aside and asks if he’s okay, he responds indifferently. He snapped, becoming indifferent with the disappearances of all his friends. Worried for his mental state, his adoptive parents place him in an asylum (a proper one, not the one shown in those awful movies.) Where he “recovers” by getting his personality back but repressing his memories of the Ninja because of how painful it is for him.

He’s released back to his family who are so happy to see he’s somewhat better but is worried that he doesn’t seem to remember anything about the Ninja. He is now an employee at Borg industry, a mere shadow of who he was.

Additionally, he received a white streak in his hair after a therapy session made him have a mental breakdown and since his electric abilities respond to how emotional he is, it didn’t end well.

He occasionally gets shocks from his abilities and plays it off as him being near electrical units all day, disregarding any questions about his previous life. Jay walker is now a walking battery and inventor to Borg industries.

The fate of Kai: The last one standing of the Ninja. After Nya’s disappearance, he went to find Jay who just started working for Borg industries. He went to make sure Jay was okay but was met with the delusional shadow of his friend, who didn’t remember him in the slightest.

This hit Kai HARD, after a lot of trial and error to make Jay remember, he left Borg industries distraught. He started to spiral outside of the building, going deeper and deeper into his negative thoughts before his emotions reached their limit and he snapped. He screamed as his fire reacted to his emotions and engulfed him in flames.

The heat was too much for his body, so he collapsed, unconscious causing the flames to die down. He was sent to the hospital for a variety of burns. Kai laid in the hospital bed for months, his image shattered and his cocky and brave personality burnt to ashes.

One day, he vanished from the hospital without a trace. Some say he walks the streets of Ninjago under a cloak and mask, swearing to never use his abilities even if it kills him. Some say they’ve seen him silently taking out smaller thugs but usually avoids fighting all together.

Some say he has a variety of bandages covering his body, attempting to hide his shame. Wherever he is, it’s hard to say if he’s alive or not.

The fate of Nadakhan: The reason behind all this suffering. He managed to change the timeline by making a wish before Jay’s finished but at the cost of Nadakhan disappearing from existence since it was such a big wish.

The fate of Ninjago: The land of peace and prosperity had a dark cloud hanging over it after the Ninja split apart and most of them disappeared. Crime was still the same but the citizens felt a sense of melancholy no matter what they did. Without the elemental master keeping things in check, Ninjago fell into a grey area of where light nor darkness could win.

20210218 Jack Jeanne Creator Interview with Famitsu - Interview #1 with Ishida Sui

The Jack Jeanne staff (Ishida Sui, Towada Shin, Kosemura Akira, Seishiro) were interviewed by Famitsu, a Japanese gaming magazine for Jack Jeanne’s release. Someone was kind enough to let me read it, so I’ll be translating the 4 interviews. The interview with Ishida I’ll do a full TL, and the other three I may do more of a summary since I’ve been busy lately.

Characters that were created based on the idea of “personifying plays”

Please share with us how you honestly felt when you received the commission request for this work.

That it seemed kind of questionable but interesting nonetheless. “If others can do it, I can too,” I thought.

How did fans react after Jack Jeanne was announced?

I still get letters from the readers of Tokyo Ghoul to this day, but some of them would bring up Jack Jeanne, or mention that they like a character and are interested in them even before the game’s release, so it makes me happy seeing that reception.

Please share with us your thoughts about being in charge of the character design.

It was a good learning experience because it was something I’d never done while working on my manga, trying to finalize the 6-member cast of the protagonist and the main characters, and then completely focusing on them as an elite squad. I tend to make too many characters, so...

When coming up with a character, how do you develop their image?

Previously, I decided it based on the character’s name and face. But with Jack Jeanne, it was a trial-and-error process. At first, I envisioned each character as a personification of a play - for example, Fumi was modelled off of “Salome”, Yonaga off of “Shintokumaru”, Shirota from one of Yamamoto Shūgorō’s works... I dropped the idea after that...and that’s how they were developed. They were created in a peculiar way this time.

Which character did you have the easiest time drawing, and on the flipside, which character did you find yourself struggling to draw?

Kai was the very first character I created, followed by Fumi. Those two I was able to draw relatively quickly. I wouldn’t really call this a struggle, but Suzu, the one with the red hair, wasn’t part of the main cast of six at first. Ootori, the blond character with the prickly personality, was actually part of the main cast at first, but since I wanted a simple-minded character, Suzu ended up being promoted.

I’m sure you consider every character your favourite, but if you had to pick only one character, who would it be?

Probably the main character Kisa. She embodies everything I think of in a shoujo manga protagonist, and I’m very fond of her. But I really do love all the characters. They each have their own appeal, so I can’t settle on just one.

Was there anything you had to constantly keep in mind when designing the characters for Jack Jeanne?

Broccoli specially requested that I give every character a strong colour palette. It’s because if I’m left to my vices, I end up using only subdued tones...I also constantly kept in my mind that I was making them look good-looking as boys.

You were also responsible for the event illustrations in the game. Could you give more details about them, and any difficulties that you faced?

For the event illustrations, I had to be aware of what scene would best match the script. Towada-san also specified where the illustrations should be inserted, but if there was a better scene before or after it, I gave priority to it instead. The hardest part...was drawing them all by myself. There ended up being more than 160 illustrations.

I heard it was you who requested Touyama Maki to design the chibi characters. Please share with us the appeal of the chibi characters drawn by Touyama-san, as well as your thoughts when you saw the chibi characters in the game.

Touyama-san’s appeal...is that their art is great! The deformed characters are perfectly balanced and outstandingly stable. I’m also a fan of their art and I like their life-proportion-size characters. It’s really cute seeing them move their tiny limbs around on the game screen.

Despite his humble abilities as an amateur lyricist, he oversaw every song with a burning passion that was second to none.

You supervised the game and the script, but what was the most memorable part of working on this game for you?

For starters, I vividly recall talking with Towada-san all the time. It was common for us to spend 10 hours a day talking to one another, several times a week.

How did production handled between the two of you for the script proceed?

I come up with the general outline. I’d talk about the overall flow and the key developments during the meetings, and Towada-san would take that and organize it, adding descriptions and colour to the details. It would have been impossible to create Jack Jeanne without her.

You wrote the lyrics to all the songs, including the opening song “Jack & Jeanne Of Quartz.” Please share with us how you came to be in charge of the lyrics.

Originally, there were several candidates, and there was even one person that I thought, “This person might be the one.” But I realized that it would take an enormous amount of time to share the understanding of my work to them, so I decided to give it a try, thinking that even an amateur would be the best for the job as long as they were passionate.

How did you come up with the lyrics?

I’m embarrassed to say this since I’m a complete amateur, but I tried my best to associate it with the feelings and information related to the subject, and whether it sounded good when sung...at any rate, I did my absolute best.

Are there any verses in the lyrics that you’d like people to pay special attention to, or any phrases that you really liked?

Avu-chan from Ziyoou-vachi (a 4-member rock band) is a friend of mine, but when I met up with her, I had her look at the lyrics, and the part she liked I also ended up liking. It’s the phrase “charcoal night grey” in the opening song. I also like the last two lines of the ending song because they represent the entirety of the game.

What was the most memorable interaction you had with the composer Kosemura-san?

He was professional in that every time, he exceed my expectations in what I wanted conveyed. We also spent about a week together (?) during the recording boot camp for the demo songs, and the time I spent sitting next to him and listening to the same songs was surreal. I couldn’t believe the person sitting next to me wrote the songs that I listened to as a student.

I want readers to like Kisa. A cover illustration filled with strong emotions.

On October 9, 2020 on Twitter, you tweeted, “Makin’ games is hard.” What was it you found difficult?

I was given a lot of decision-making authority as a producer, but since I’m a company outsider, I had a hard time making decisions without seeing the actual situation or making choices in areas where I had no insight. It was a tweet vexed from my inability to understand due to lack of experience. I wish I had more power...

What do you want people to pay attention to when they play the demo version?

I’d like people to pay attention to the fact that the art and script were created by very few people (almost two people), much like an indie game. Something like, “Ishida really drew all these characters!” or “Towada-san really wrote all the script!”...there is more to come in the full version.

You drew the cover illustration for this issue of the magazine, but I’d like to hear more details regarding this.

I drew it while reflecting on how lucky I was, like, “I’m really drawing for the magazine I’ve read since I was a kid...!?” I drew both male and female forms for Kisa, in the hopes that people would come to love the main character.

Izone has been on tour lately, you and Chaewon haven’t seen each other. Just a few more months and you could be together but a spontaneous trip to Japan came in mind and you couldn’t resist

You smiled and breathed in, the cold air of the night tickling your nose as you stepped out of the taxi and dragging your luggage to the revolving door.

You entered the room filled with fancy lights and people crowding the lobby. You checked in and crashed on your bed leaving your suitcase somewhere near the front door and sighed feeling the warm mattress of your bed.

You were so ready to sleep but your phone ringing made you jump up and rush to answer it immediately.

“Hey sorry if I woke you,”

You smiled at the voice and you shook your head. “It’s good, I was waiting for you,” you said and your smile brightened when you heard the giggle in reply.

“How was practice?” You asked and moved to the door and got your suitcase, putting it on the bed and getting some clothes you could change from while your girlfriend talked to you on the phone.

“It was great actually, tiring but it’s worth it for our Wizone”

You could hear the joy in her voice and you couldn’t help but be happy too. Chaewon loved their fans so much it was nice to see her being excited about having their tour. You often talked on the phone for the past few months since they were busy and Chaewon often shared how much she missed you and you tried your best to cheer her up and move the topic.

Of course, you missed her too, it was torture not having to be with her for so long but you endured it. Seeing her happily performing and showing how excited and giddy she was made you glad that she was distracted.

“I have to get going, baby, it’s already late. Get some sleep, I'll call you tomorrow, I love you!” Chaewon waved and bid goodbye when her manager called her for one last rehearsal and you nodded at her, sending her a good luck smile and cheering.

“I love you too, fighting!” You said and hung up and smiled, throwing your phone to the side and closed your suitcase. But surely like everyone else you couldn’t handle being away from her for long.

So when you got home the previous night you decided to take a spontaneous trip to Japan. The next morning you got up and excitedly prepared and left your hotel and made your way to the venue.

You knew for a fact that the girls would be rehearsing or playing in the venue. You took a cab and told the area and when you arrived you saw the line already forming outside and you smiled, filled with pride that your girlfriend had fans like them who will support and continue to cheer for them.

You stepped out of the cab near the end of the line and continued walking pretending to be a stranger and wondering why there was a massive line and sneaking to the back entrance where Chaewon’s manager was waiting for you.

“Unnie,” you greeted and she smiled back and both of you went past the guards making sure you didn’t get seen by the fans and photographers before she led you to the seats at the very top.

“The girls will be going out in a few for mic check and final rehearsals, you won’t be seen here but keep your head down just in case,” she reminded and you nodded thanking her as she went back.

Chaewon had no idea that you were here, she knew that you were still back in Korea working so Instead of saying that you were coming you wanted to surprise Chaewon, and what better way to do that than watching their whole concert.

When you were settled you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket and smiled when Chaewon’s name showed up. You answered the call knowing that she was just minutes away.

“Goodmorning!”

You smiled at the clear excitement in her voice and giggled, “Goodmorning, you excited?” You asked knowing the answer,

“I’m super nervous, we’re doing final rehearsals in a few minutes then time to rest before we perform this afternoon”

“Then I’ll wish you good luck,” you said and your eyes flickered to the silhouettes walking to the stage and you covered the mic on your phone

When you first met them you noticed one thing about them, they were loud, “Hey, I gotta go work is packed, I’ll call you before you get on yeah? Good luck babe, I love you” you said and about to hang up before you heard her sigh.

“Yeah, call you,” you heard her downhearted and you furrowed your eyebrows, “Hey, what’s wrong?”

“I miss you”

You smiled softly and leaned back in your seat.

Like everyone else would think dating an idol was harder than what they expected, the packed schedules and the tours, you two barely had enough time to be with each other like normal couples would. Added that you were in the business industry you had less time to be together.

But you knew your priorities, if Chaewon had a clear schedule you would instantly clear yours just to have some time with her. It doesn't matter that your work will pile up. The hours cuddling and talking in bed would be worth it.

“I miss you too, don’t worry just a few more and we can have all the cuddles we want,” The small giggled in reply made you smile before you bid goodbye and hung up.

You sat there and watched them, your pride swelled knowing that you were dating one of them.

After a few hours, you stood from your seat and snuck to the back, rushing to their dressing room and shutting the door. You looked around and hid behind their rack of clothes and waited until you could hear them getting closer.

When the door opened you heard the girls coming in and giggled quietly. You muffled your giggles with your hand before you heard Yujin coming closer to where you were.

“Yeah I think we could work on it—“

“Boo!”

You popped out and put on a scary face effectively drawing screams from all twelve girls. You laughed and leaned against the wall holding your stomach on the look on Yujin’s face and the surprise looks from the girls inside the room.

At first Chaewon didn’t believe her eyes when she saw you. When she heard the boo, she thought someone had snuck into their room but when she heard your laughs and the sight of you her jaw dropped.

She approached your laughing form and reached out her hand to touch you. When she grazed your arm she felt the warmth of your body and, without hesitation, hugged you.

Chaewon felt herself melt, it’s been too long since she felt your warmth. And soon you snapped out of your laughing state wrapping your arms around her and lifting her up a few giggles escaping but you hugged her back just as tight.

You missed Chaewon, seeing her perform her heart out on stage always made you happy, but times like this always makes your heart soft. The tired but soft hugs she would give and the times where you would be quiet and hold each other during the nights where work for both of you was heavy.

You love the talented side of your girlfriend but you loved the side of Chaewon that she only showed to you too.

There were times where you would be separated for months but as long as you still love each other it was all you could ask for.

It was a bit of a silly ending and a short one too, I guess not as fluffy as the other ones, but I tried my best? I was so lost in writing today, school has been heavy.
