Was tagged by @chevvy-yates and @drunkchasind, thanks both ♥ But, i don't have a lot of things to talk about. My last rest days, i mostly played and continue my commissions. And as i'm back to office + physical therapy 3x/week after work, really few time ...

Mods / Comms I mostly cleaned my comm list, even i'm late on my schedule because of elbow. Still do finish one, update 2 and doing full one. After that, i hope updating mine, but i really doubt about it x) But just a list in case : - i will update Vanessa (2 more nomads AU, 1 merc, 1 casual at least) - i will continue Enzo Npv + scars (chevvy needs it :P) + redo fully Isao and Virgile And for mod, i worked on the collab with Mel, working on refits but i really don't like that, maybe bc i don't use body mods (and other one dropped never enough of big boobs in this game), so i feel no interest doing this ...

Writing

I finished chapter 4 of Virgile x Eve \o/ ... in french. Time to spend hours of translation, rewrite some parts because finally it's not that good, adding things, removing. But true writing parts is finally done. I have a VP idea, but i really needed to write the scene, because i won't do 75 pics for a story, but there was many things i wanted to tell. How Enzo secretly defied the clan's ban to see his brother Virgile again, how he came up with the idea and how it came to fruition. And it starts with a confrontation with his father, 19yrs brat finally understands things about his papa too ... Just a snippet poorly translate :

Therein lay the crux of the problem. He just understood it. They'd been arguing about it for a week, and Enzo had just put his finger on why. It wasn't a question of pride, of absurd parental authority, but of mourning. Grieving for someone who's still alive, but whom they can no longer see. A son, a brother. A sudden wave of sadness swept over him, his proud face replaced by that of a bewildered young man, almost a little boy. Even his voice softened. "Papa, keeping the car won't bring him back. You've already kept all his memories, I …" The long, dejected sigh stopped him in his sentence. His father crushed his cigarette stub, and he suddenly saw him hunched over, crushed by the weight of sadness, suddenly looking old. "I miss him so much…"

So i will do a 2 or 3 parts story about Enzo finally comes to NC for the first time and find his brother. But for this, i need to update Enzo's npv with a younger version. Was before his accident, and i found the perfect style for a real young brat racer in all his confident (need to think about accessories and his tattoos) Look at this brat, with this stupid idea to bleach hair x)

And i continue to give boys some good clothes ! You already saw Isao, and now it's Virgile's turn ♥ But he's easier, i have him since 2 years 1/2, i know his style and i want for him. But i will split in two saves, with his corpo years. But for now, Blue has many nomads outfits, less city ones, but here 2 with some nice ones ♥

-I WANT LORE ON THE BARGAINER STATUES SO BAD. Who built them? Who made their bodies so damn big? Were they made at all, or are they just like. Weird fossilized spirits? Why are there inexplicably two smaller, head-only versions(possibly more I am unaware of) hanging out on the surface? I know Josha's was probably recovered from the depths directly but what about the one in the Great Plateau? WHAT IS THEIR DEAL I WANNA KNOW PLS I AM BEGGING

-i really just am completely obsessed with Josha, bc she really reminds me exactly of how I've imagined my OC Calli would behave if I put her in this universe. It's quite funny honestly, how entirely similar they are, down to the excitability and gullibility.

-i am having a lot of fun figuring out how my OC Koro fits into the story. So much to consider! granted im having to redo quite a bit of the stuff i established in botw, but hey, sequels, amirite? i'll need to update her writeup when i can. i can say definitively that she and Sidon split up(obviously) but she ended up with her old childhood/teen friend Grante(who now goes by Granteson, which i love lol), and she's super close with Josha, who reminds her of her passed sister.

-i love that you can ride on the dragons now. especially now that i know the origin of the Light Dragon, i like to imagine Link, though he's not much of a talker, takes to riding her around Hyrule and just, tells her how everyone's doing, and how much they miss her. i'm currently sat on her head so i can farm dragon parts and it always makes me sad lol

-i am still having WAY more fun in the Depths than i am in the Sky Islands lol. i have probably a good 70% of the lightroots activated at this point? im mostly just trying to find all of those before i really get to properly exploring.

-i have all the main quests finished up to what i assume will be the final fight against Ganondorf. THIS GAME GIVES YOU A FUCKIN ROBIT HELL YEAH. also i love having all the sages unlocked bc you can just gang up on any creature in hyrule and it fucks.

-still havent gone up against a Gleeok proper yet, though. they scare the shit out of me lmfao. too stronk.

-the return of Puppet Zelda has been a great touch, and without her narration, the blood moon is even spookier imo. just silence, and then monsters reanimating. oof.

-the Frox down in the Depths are interesting to me. they dont do Gloom damage like almost every enemy down there, which implies they might be the only native creature to the Depths? very fascinating!

born within mere days of each other, both brought into the world in the frigid swedish winter of 1927, alexander and olivia were seemingly star-crossed. olivia’s parents were low on the totem pole of swedish nobility, but fortune had allowed them this: a generations-old friendship with the royal family. there was no need for social climbing where olivia’s family were concerned. in title they fell at the bottom of the heap, but in esteem they sat prettily next to his majesty the king. so alexander and olivia were introduced as soon as possible, in the hopes of ensuring the friendship between the two families would live to see another day. and much to their parents’ delight, alexander and olivia did them all one better: they fell in love and were married in stockholm in 1945, just after the end of the second world war. they were shortly thereafter crowned king and queen consort of sweden. they’d been married fourteen years before their first child was born: a boy, frederik. elliot and linnea followed after, and alexander passed in 1994, leaving the crown to frederik, his pride and joy. olivia, grief stricken at the loss of her husband, feeling alexander’s absence like one might feel the absence of a lost limb, passed shortly thereafter, within just a few frigid winter days.

ronald and marguerite stolberg were a case of little more than luck. or, as they’ve told their children and grandchildren, fate. a count and his wife from western germany, the two could hardly even call themselves nobility. still, what they lacked in titles they made up for in wealth and, moreover, in love. ronald never wanted power, and so was content to take his title and his fortune and to live out the rest of his days never attempting to climb the social ladder. he met marguerite dupont at the free university of berlin. she wasn’t of the nobility; in fact, she wasn’t even particularly wealthy. but she was whip-smart and exceedingly kind, not to mention beautiful, and there was nothing to do but fall in love. ronald’s parents objected to his marrying someone so well beneath their status, but marguerite was, to ronald, the only woman in the world. he couldn’t possibly leave her just in the name of money or power, so he married her in secret, not caring for the approval of his parents. his parents were angry at his disobedience and even angrier at his lack of vision, so they turned him away and planned to make his younger brother their heir.

ronald, out of a county but still very much in love, was more than fine with this arrangement. the way he saw it, he’d escaped a lifetime of stuffy suits and crowded high society functions. he and marguerite settled in a townhome in berlin and were, for a time, incandescently happy. they brought a daughter into the world, adélaïde, who was to be raised without the pressures ronald’s parents had put on him. but when ronald’s father fell ill and a fatal car accident spelled his brother’s end, ronald’s mother was left begging him to come home. he was ready to deny her, to reject her the way she’d rejected him, but marguerite convinced him to return home and reclaim the title that was rightfully his, to make amends with his dying father, and ronald had never been able to deny her. so they returned to the world ronald so hated, and they welcomed another daughter, emelina, into their family.

II. THE PRESENT king frederik iv of sweden & dowager queen emelina of sweden ( hugh laurie & anna chancellor )

frederik and emelina met in college. frederik was in his first year at stockholm university following two years in the military, and emelina was studying abroad in stockholm for the spring semester. the two hit it off immediately, spending some time as friends before they began dating. study sessions in the library soon migrated to study sessions in frederik’s dorm, and when the end of the semester came, emelina was loathe to go home to germany. until emelina graduated, the two wrote letters back and forth; phone calls were an option, but the love letters were far more romantic ( and, for emelina, far less expensive ). when she graduated college a year later, she didn’t hesitate to move to an apartment in stockholm, where they could date a little more officially. and the rest was history: they fell in love and were married, and for just under twenty years, they were happy.

when frederik got sick, emelina began to shut down. her temper shortened. her relationships suffered, but none more than the ones she had with her children. emelina shut everyone out, especially after frederik passed. she felt she had lost half of herself. sweden saw her standing at her husband’s funeral, and for many years after that, they did not see her at all. she never left the grounds of drottningholm. for nearly a year after the loss, she hardly left her rooms. things changed after theodor came home from the army wounded and nearly dead; it was as if emelina came back to the world of the living. the near-loss worked wonders for waking emelina up to the things around her. she finally began to move on. she left her rooms more frequently, she laughed and smiled, softly at first, and soon with full force. she helped linnea with planning and, eventually, hosting dinners and charity events. in recent years, sweden has regained their dowager queen. and more than that, theodor and josefina have regained their mother.

as both the youngest child and the only princess, linnea was doted on not only by her family but also by her people. she has been beloved in sweden from the day she was born, especially before josefina’s birth and the births of linnea’s daughters. but being the baby hardly made linnea frivolous or idle. her people loved her, and she, in turn, loved them. she devoted her life to charity work and diplomacy. for many years, she has been sweden’s matriarch; when emelina retreated into the palace following frederik’s death, linnea took up many of the duties that should have fallen to the dowager queen. to encourage international relations, she pursued a relationship with gunnar ragnarsson, an important businessman from iceland, and had three daughters with him. General Update😴

TLDR - VERY SLEEPY KIT, redoing mods folder slowly but surely!, still very sleepy pls send coffee, have half of a bachelorette challenge queue done, check out my fantasy cc finds blog @magicaspect

I hope everyone is healthy and safe out there! I would like to say I am still in an Animal Crossing hell of my own devising, but the truth is that even with new hours at work and less days there (but the same amount of hours), I am actually more exhausted than normal. 4 days of the week I am a zombie--I come home, I eat dinner and then I fall asleep on the couch watching Critical Role. The other 3 days are filled with housework, fun work (like writing! thats fun right), sims on occasion, I’m now playing a fun DND campaign with my friends (run by @crisisbarn) and etc.

In between shooting Bachelorette Challenge stuff, I’m trying to redo my mods folder on the side so I can get back into doing everything else... but have a game that doesn’t lag

when I am not begging TS4 to work, I’ve been playing a personal TS3 LEPacy... I do not think I will share that here, but I just wanted to let someone besides Sam know that that was happening sagkajgksal

Because I am trying to resort my mods folder, I ended up taking ALL my fantasy stuff out... But I wanted to play with DND sims in general, so I just. went and made a CC finds blog for that so I could easily go through and just download everything again.

In honor if it being the 11 year anniversary of the first fic I ever posted, Platinum Bound, I thought I’d list out 10 of my favorite excerpts from everything I’ve posted so far, 1 from something I haven’t posted yet, and then kind of just. Talk about it~

1 - Come With Me - Prologue - 03/02/2015 - Completed

A day that was supposed to be filled with sorrow and mourning had turned out to be very lovely. The cold that had long persisted since November had decided to lighten its icy grip on this one day in particular. It was almost a tragedy in itself that the weather failed to match the mood by pouring a relentless downpour. Rain was fit for a funeral. Not sunshine.

The opening to Come With Me has always had a special place in my heart, and while I know my writing has gotten better since then, I always hold up this opening as like...my premium brand, I suppose.  I love the mood the prologue sets up for Siebold’s side of the story.  Mismatched weather.  His parents having the same death date.  A sense of odd relationship dynamics with them.  Clear indication that there’s going to be a lot of conflict with Jean as shown by Diantha, Siebold’d childhood friend, who has a clear disdain towards him.  CWM may not be my BEST WORK, but it’s probably one of my favorites.  ALSO....come on...the restaurant’s name is Apple of The Earth, which is a direct translation of pomme de terre, which is French for potato.  And like???? i just get a little kick out of it every time

2 - It Takes Two - 12/16/2014 - Oneshot

Siebold chuckled.  “A water dark type?  My, my.  You’ve already put yourself at a disadvantage. Cress shook his head.  “Don’t give away your secret ingredient just yet, Siebold.  Leave something to the imagination, please,” he teased.

If there is ONE THING I LOVE it’s writing flirty banter for these two, and this fic if full of it.  My first fic for Cress/Siebold, staking my claim on the pool noodle that is this ship.  I AM the captain of this pool noodle

3 - Second Chances - Chapter 7 - 06/14/2017 - Ongoing

“It was supposed to be me!” . . . Shaking, she stopped herself in the front hallway.  Looking over the large, glass-famed map, she felt as though she was leaving her own body as she slammed herself against it in a last ditch effort to feel something other than emotional pain.  In an effort to put a physical wound to her emotional one. 

There’s plenty of happier lines from this fic I could choose.  Ch 10 had a section I was considering instead, but I think this emotionally charged section has always stood out for me. I like to generally characterize Cynthia as someone who is in control of her emotions, or at the very least, is very good at compartmentalizing things, but here, she absolutely loses it.  No rationality.  No seeking help.  Just raw pain.  It was supposed to be me. Because it was!  It absolutely was!  In the previous chapter you learn that Diantha had fully intended to propose to her!  But was instead manipulated by her mother and manager into leaving Cynthia.  While Cynthia didn’t know that, we do, and that makes that line so much more painful to me.  I swear.  ONE DAY.  I’ll actually finish this fic.

4 - Fortune and Fame - Chapter 1 - 03/23/2016 - Completed

“The best part of that outfit would be taking it off.” Her mouth turns into a smile. “I should think so,” she tells you.

Second person POV is a HUGE pain in the ass, but I still love this silly little fic, and I love this silly little moment EVEN MORE.  What can I say.  I love flirty banter. This whole fic was an absolute experiment, and while it certainly could be better, considering 2POV is not something I regularly work with, I’ve never been too upset with it.

5 - Stockholm - Chapter 4 - 06/20/2016 - Ongoing

“You’re my mission and my mission alone.  I don’t need outside help,” he tells me. I catch myself about to laugh.  “Figured you would welcome it seeing as whatever you think you’re doing to me clearly isn’t working.” He moves closer, enough for me to feel the warmth of his body, but it’s only when I think he’s looking at my lips do I come to my senses, pulling my legs up to my person, and pushing back up against the wall. “I would say it’s working just fine.”

i like to think of this fic as me playing in a sandbox.  i don’t REALLY know what i’m doing, but i’m having fun, and that’s all that matters. This is a fic I had been thinking about for the longest time.  I abandoned it back in 2016.  I don’t really remember why, but I posted the first update early this year, and I just.  I’ve been loving it since.  I haven’t played in first person in SUCH a long time, it’s just nice to play in the space, and explore a darker emotion I guess.  Game verse Commander Saturn/Dawn is always a weakness of mine

6 - Shadows of My Heart - Chapter 4 - 02/22/2011 - Completed

Looking at Kellyn, I notice that he has taken his jacket off and is now offering it to me. Shaking my head, I tell him that I can't take it, even though I would love nothing more than to take him up on his offer. He walks closer, smiling as he places his jacket over me. Now, the only thing I hear is the sound of the rain bouncing off of Kellyn's jacket, and the sound my own heartbeat. I'd have to be crazy or dead to not be blushing right now, and obviously my pulse is still going…

if you’ve followed me for a few years, you might think this is a weird pick for me.  i complain about it a lot.  i experience a lot of visceral cringe whenever i reread it (Like i did just now searching for a section i liked) But that’s why I like it.  I love having this visible benchmark of where I’ve come from, and where my ideals have shifted to.  I’ve always written Kellyn as my Ideal Man™© and in this fic he is suCH A “NICE GUY” AND IT’S JUST. SO BAD. I’M SO GLAD I’M NOT WITH THE KIND OF PERSON I USED TO WISH I WAS WITH. This fic is, at best, clumsy.  Younger me was venting a LOT of stuff. Everything I put Rhythmi through in the fic, I was dealing with irl, and NOT handling them well.  I never recommend this for reading, but I list it here because it’s like looking in a time capsule.

7 - Washington Blues - Chapter 2 - 04/30/2012 - Abandoned Work

Looking back up at me, the afternoon sun shines on her face.  As if I needed to be reminded that she is very pretty.  “I believe that it is too soon to be giving a definite answer, but,” she pauses to brush some hair behind her ear, “I do believe I am going to like it here.” I nod, liking the answer she has provided.  I put my pink bag over my shoulder, and step down the stairs.  “That’s good to hear.  I do hope you come to love our little band,” I say, putting a little emphasis on “our”.  Hopefully she will start using that term as well.

This fic has been abandoned since 2012, but as I was rereading it just now, I...felt a weird urge to give it a second chance?  Marching band was my EVERYTHING in high school.  It was basically my personality.  It and Homestuck.  If nothing else, I think I might give this fic a redo, because it’s something my younger self would have loved.  I had so many ideas I wanted to explore and I think it would be a fun space to explore. Just reading it I got the most tactile memories of band camp, from the sounds, all the way down to the god awful smells.  One day I’ll give this fic another go, but probably in 3rd person lmao.  Also, it’s kind of funny.  I remember holding this fic up as like.  My Magnum Opus.  I considered chapter 1 to be the BEST thing I had written up to that point. Now? It’s so fucking D RY......and no real person talks like they all do l m a o I love being able to see how far I’ve come.

8 - Hindsight - Sometime Feb 2014?  - Oneshot for an old RP group

This question led him to placing both of his hands in his lap.  “I would never describe her as winter.  It’s the season she hates the most.  From what I’ve gathered during our travels together, understandably so,” he answered, not meeting her eyes. 

While this fic is OLD it holds a very special place in my heart.  I had stopped writing for a while.  For about 2 years nothing I wrote ever really panned out, and joining that RP group was literally the best thing I could have done for my creativity.  It was so much fun, and I met some truly incredible people thanks to it.  Literally, everything I’ve written since I attribute to that group.  <3 I may not talk to most of them anymore, but I have some of the best memories of that time, and I just.  Genuinely don’t think I would have HALF of what I have written now if it hadn’t been for their support.  <3

9 - Ours For The Taking - Chapter 2 - 01/28/2012 - Abandoned Work

Killing is in the nature of almost every Pokémon, but we humans have inhibited that out for the most part. It doesn't take much to trigger the instinct though. A couple kills and then they thirst for blood.

Now i know this looks like a WACK ASS PICK.  It’s been abandoned since 2012.  It’s bad.  It’s gore.  It’s bad.  But that’s exactly why I picked it.  That, and I know it would chap Farla’s ass bc she told me years ago how awful this fic was. The whole reason my writing confidence took a blow.  I can look back and know that this fic wasn’t great, but I hate for my younger self that they were knocked down like that.  You can’t learn the boundaries of your writing until you try to push them.  Maybe I could have turned into a great gore/horror writer if I hadn’t been knocked down?  Who knows?  But because of that negative experience, I now approach all comments I leave on fics with “unconditional positive regard”.  I firmly believe if someone wants con-crit they’ll ask for it, and even then, I’m not someone who is going to offer up that criticism.  That’s not my jam.  I’m just here for a good time.  This fic may be bad, but that’s why I love it.  I love how over the top, 2Edgy4me the two chapters are.

10 - Getaway Car - Chapter 5 - 01/01/2019 - Ongoing

Pulling away just enough to make them look at one another, Cynthia looked her over.  She was getting more drunk admissions than she ever thought she would, and she was in no frame of mind to worry about pushing her luck.  “How did that make you feel?” she asked. She let her hand trail down her arm as she spoke.  “Grounded.  Like nothing else in the world mattered except us in that moment.  I wasn’t worried about filming, deadlines, what people might say or think, or– anything, really.  All that mattered was the calm you brought me, and how without meaning to you’ve made me feel like the most important person in the room.”

It’s no secret that Getaway Car is like.  MY BABY.  This is MY FIC.  MY BABY.  I CHERISH THIS FIC FOR SO MANY REASONS. I like venting through characters, and this fic is no exception.  But I loved writing this moment specifically, because it just...I think it encapsulates everything Diantha has been looking for.  She lives a charmed, chaotic life.  Up to that point in the fic, she’s with a man who can’t really be bothered to give her the time of day, but also can’t handle the idea of letting her go.  Without meaning to, without necessarily trying to, Cynthia makes her feel like the most important person in the room.  She grounds her, and someone who lives a star-studded life needs that.  This fic is my baby.  My everything.  It’s probably what I’m known for at this point, and I’m A-OK with that because these two are my everything.  (ALSO, I specifically posted this fic when I did to get Farla to leave me a review, and had a good laugh about it when she did.  My “bat shit crazy” plot device has ended up being my most popular fic~)

11 - Namtaflu - Chapter _ - Draft from NaNoWriMo 2019

The sound of something rising to the surface of the water attracted everyone’s attention.  Turning their eyes towards the water, one by one, countless Starmie and Staryu began to surface, floating atop the water, their bright gem center’s shining in the moonlight.  “Oh, wow,” Bianca said, holding the Audino closer to herself.  "What are they doing?” Hilbert asked, turning himself so he wasn’t having to strain to look at them.  Cheren shrugged.  “They’ve always done this.” "They’re looking at the stars,” Hilda added.  “It’s what Nona would always tell me.  She said she read it in a book somewhere.  They surface at night to look at the stars, and they’ll even start blinking here soon.”  As she said it, from out in the distance, quick flashes of red began to move along the waves, reminding both her and Cheren of fireflies from further south.  Soon enough, the entire shoreline was filled with the water pokémon blinking away at the stars, almost as if they were communicating with each other, or even something else.  A few Audino continued to sit with them, everyone moved to silence by the display, afraid to make a single noise, not wanting to scare them at all and make them stop.  The display moved in waves, like a heartbeat, ebbing and flowing.  At times they were bright enough to cast a glow onto the shore, and at others it seemed like they had collectively stopped for the night. Once Broadway and Manhattan had decided to retire for the night, the group came to an agreement that it was time they retired for the night as well.  They had stayed up long past sundown, but it had been worth every second.   

I won’t be posting this fic WELL until my three current ongoing fics are completed, but this fic is pretty much everything to me.  I first got the idea for this fic back in 2013, my senior year of high school.  I wrote the first draft my first NaNoWriMo in 2014, and did a second draft of it last year.  This fic has evolved SO MUCH, but this last draft is where I’m REALLY happy with it.  I firmly believe there’s never a “right time” to write a fic, but I also believe this fic absolutely benefited from me not posting it after that first draft.  They’re almost two entirely different stories.  The original had a lot of unhealthy relationship dynamics, and this time, i decided, FUCK THAT, and now it’s a hilda/hilbert/cheren/bianca poly fic ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ I can’t wait for the day when I actually get to share this fic with the world.

@demonwrestler​ well, if you mean, “how do you make mods?” then my help is limited. i’ve futzed around a little with dai mod manager to try to isolate assets for export to dao (i found most of the ones i wanted, i just don’t have the tools to export them lmao). there’s an old forum for this stuff. tho the best tutorials i’ve found are from the lovely sapphim

if you mean “how do you use mods w this game?” THAT i can help with. basically, you’ll want the dai tools suite and the frosty tools suite. for dai, i recommend dedicating a download subfolder to daimods u know you wanna use, and then directing the dai mod manager to that subfolder, so u don’t have to do a lot of work checking and unchecking mods (i used to have separate subfolders by inquisitor, but ive recently reorganized so that i have one subfolder for the stuff that’s a) only in daimod format, and b) smth i want for all inquisitors). 

you run the mod manager, everything hopefully goes smoothly, and then it’s frosty time. to make daimm and frosty work together, you need to find the subfolders in origin games/dai/update named “patch” and another one thats titled smth like patchedblahmergedblahwhatever (i am v helpful). rename “patch” to smth else (i use “patch (official)”) and rename the other to “patch.” you need to do this so frosty will run properly w daimods. 

frosty, itself, is very simple. it’s faster and easier to change mods out, since u don’t need to completely rerun the whole process, and you can even make profiles by inquisitor (eg, i am using a profile titled “amell, with daimm” rn). frosty can run daimods, but it can be iffy, esp w texture mods for some reason. i’m not 100% on this, but i think other daimods are usually fine (eg, you might be able to run stuff that changes store stock or ability trees w/o issue)

the benefits of dai mm are that some mods have simply never been updated to frosty. in some cases, they’re just abandoned, in others, even the modder can’t figure out why they won’t work in the other format (discovered recently i’d been bedeviled for DAYS bc my fav cass outfit refuses to work in frosty, despite the modder’s best efforts and other successfully converted mods. v strange!). it also is still better at handling configurable mods (which are rare, but precious to me. i love you, svarty. thank you for all my pretty and op new knives).

the benefits of frosty are that it’s much quicker and easier to change. if you want to change one measly mod in daimm, you have to completely redo your whole setup (esp tragic if you use a lot of configurable mods, bc u have to reconfigure them EVERY TIME). it also makes troubleshooting much easier, bc u can easily test mods in batches to see which one is fucking you. and if you want a mod to keep working in the dlcs (including trespasser), frosty is your best bet.

frosty is also unique in that, after some recent updates, it can handle certain tasks that are simply impossible in daimm. the biggest example, to me, is bundle editing. it’s still kinda new and tricksy (from what i understand), but bundle editing allows for fun stuff like character swaps (see: my many alistairs) and hair editing for npcs and qunari (now us qunari lovers can have the same wildass sims hair as everyone else, and so can the eggman). it’s a bit touchy (bundles don’t play well together), but very fun!

for general troubleshooting: if the game is forever on a loading screen (like 5+min), then there’s probably a daimod at fault (test any loaded in frosty first, then start futzing with daimm). if everything is completely fucking bonkers, it’s more likely (but not necessarily) a frosty mod at fault. generally. i had three separate vivienne mods, both daimod and frosty, that all fucked my game in different ways yesterday, so you never know. sometimes the entire game world just comes apart at the seams bc you wanted to give your favorite first enchanter a snazzy lil gold accent on her casual outfit :(

Hiii! Thank you so much for loving such an old series of mine xjdjaj but so far, I'm focused on finishing my Jihoon soulmate au (bc i wanted to finish a series for once hssuuww)

But the main problem I have is: i forgot where i was going with Oppa-ya 😂 it's not a well thought out series where i had a plan and all, so I don't really know how to continue with it. It's been such a long time since I've written that one so I also might not share the same feelings I had when I was writing it. Even if I found inspiration to write, I'd probably redo the whole thing bc well....there are A LOT of things that needs to be improved. I could say the same thing with my other unfinished Jihoon series as well 😂😂😂 that's really the main reason why they're just sitting ducks in the masterlist. 

I'm so sorry if this wasn't the reply you wished to see, but that's really the truth :((( i wish i could also finish them bc i dont like seeing them like that in the masterlist but im honestly stumped 😂 i guess for now, what to expect is just chapters for the soulmate au or probably new Jihoon fics. This has been such a long post but I wanted to explain myself,,,, but still thank you so much for liking it!!

Progress update (August 2019)

Posting Break I’m taking a hiatus from posting on AO3, ffnet, etc until at least 2020. There are a lot of reasons for that, but the two main ones are to reduce stress and focus on non-fic things. I might be less active online in general. BUT, that doesn’t mean I’ll be gone forever. In fact, I’ve already started working on new projects, just at a slower pace. 

Collaboration/prompts/challenges One thing I really miss about the RP community is how fun, unexpected things can happen during collaboration or when prompts get thrown at you. Besides the WIPs I talk about below, I’m also still really interested in: adopting a dead fic and finishing it (but I need the author to tell me themselves so we can work out the details ofc), fulfilling someone’s plot idea that they love but can’t be bothered to do themselves (ditto), being given a challenge, or doing a direct collab i.e. we write an outline together then each do alternating chapters/POVs/whatever.

For any of the above, I’m interested in the following fandoms: Naruto, Kingdom Hearts, My Hero Academia, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mob Psycho 100, ATLA/LOK.

Current WIPs I have four fics I consider to be current WIPs, in the sense that they’ve gone beyond the ‘idea’ phase and I’ve actually put down outline material and/or have written words for them. I’m only working on them when I feel like it, which is why I am ok with having so many–it’s very laid back. I just put down ideas when I get them, and slowly gather material that way. It’s much more fun and stress-relieving to do it that way for now, and when I’m ready to buckle down once again, I hope I’ll have a lot to work with. (:

The four are listed here in order of how developed they are as of today.

A Naruto fic–Ame Orphans/Akatsuki origin story canon re-write; current working title “we wished on a sky too small for stars” bc I’m basic so shut up. I need to think of a better way to describe it, but it’s not exactly an AU, more like their story told in my own way. I’ve always really liked retellings that have their own plots even though we already know how it ends, and I’ve always wanted to write one like that. I’m throwing out most of the canon timeline and non-manga canon to do my own thing and extrapolate like hell. This one already has a more or less complete outline, minus some gaps in the middle part. But like the others, I’m just letting ideas for it come float toward me as they will. I haven’t written any prose for it yet, aside from some pre-existing drabbles that will be incorporated.

A Naruto fic–the next installment in the Windmill series, a sort of in-between fic that I’m currently calling Windmill 2.5, because I’d like it to be a lot shorter than the others in the series. (As in, I want it to be 100k words or less. We’ll see what actually happens.) I have a lot of outline material for this one, and a good amount of prose already too, but it’s not very organized yet. Probably because this is a sequel, ideas for it pop into my head as scenes or dialogue more so than the others. I’m not concerned with how they’ll all fit together just yet. Still taking it easy. This story is 3rd person like the others, but with Obito as the main (perhaps only) POV character. I’m super into the themes behind this one.

A Kingdom Hearts fic–a complete revamp/reboot of my ancient fic, Twilit Destiny. I have ideas for it, but very little written down aside from the old story itself. My plan is to figure out the conclusion I want, then re-write the story to match (and to give it a badly-needed update). I’m not going to stress about making it match canon, since canon is wacky anyway. Redoing it will just be for fun. My only concern is that I’ll start having too much fun, and end up making it massive. RIP.

A MP100 fic–So. I have done this in the sense that I got a stupid idea and then did a freewrite on it and had so much fun I can’t stop thinking about it. This was not a serious idea, and it’s meant to be somewhat crack, but I might be able to twist it into being heartwarming somehow. Way outside of my usual style, but I think that’s part of why it’s so fun.

jooseok is the son of a mob family, they’re very well established in the criminal world. his parents are yeong dami and yeong joohyuk. however it is dami who actually runs the game and is the head bitch in charge shall we say, not to bring feminist agenda joo to life but as u can imagine due to this he has hella respect for women esp his mother bc of the strength he observed in her growing up. he thinks women are stronger and better at survival bc of learning through his ma and being trained by her. 

so he was raised of course in the family gang, raised in crime and never really knew any other way to live. when he reached seventeen he was initiated officially into the gang meaning his role became more full time and his responsibility became larger. he dropped out of college after his first two years there to accomodate for this and so his education wasn’t the finest but he was homeschooled for a long time before he got too old as the gang considered it and he no longer had time for it. plus he was of the belief he knew enough about how the world worked through the observation of the good and ugly alone. 

he does have a younger sister who he considers his entire world and he also has a brother of around the same age as him. the family dynamic is a little complex, he’d kill without hesitation for both his siblings despite the fact that his brother and himself often don’t agree or see eye to eye on anything, they bicker and give each other shit but they’d never turn their backs on each other. these are wanted connections i will eventually put on the list so they can be filled out also. 

he’s considered an infiltrator and a double agent as his main job titles for the gang so right now he works undercover in the police force helping the wrongly accused escape a life of jail time and prove their innocence when the justice system fails them. occasionally he’s put in charge of strategy too and he is very very respected within the gang for being the youngest and yet the most skilled who rose to his tasks very quickly for his age and became the best at what he does at an alarmingly quick rate, he’s actually pretty well known for having the reputation of being the youngest to climb the ranks and gain status like this. 

he could actually have been the boss of the gang with the amount of tasks and dirty work he takes on

HOWEVER...

jooseok has a huge secret and this is that recently he’s started attending college again and taken on night classes to study law and learn more about the police force so he can become a genuine crime detective. he is also undertaking training for the police force. 

the lifestyle and career of the police force has always been his dream and his goal but with his limited education it was never something he could achieve alongside his gang life. this is why he jumped at the chance to at least do something undercover with the police and despite playing dirty cop, use it to do something good, vigilante like if you will. 

joo can’t keep his secret forever though, his gang are getting wind of what’s going on and soon he’s going to have to go into hiding. despite the gang being his family, hits will be issued on him until he is eliminated and killed. simply put he is considered a traitor the minute he gives up gang life, and he knows far too much to simply be allowed to walk free possibly giving away all their secrets and intel. because it is a family business there are severe consequences for him turning away from what is considered his duty and responsibility.

joo = big be gay, do crime type energy. he’s abrasive and amoral but he’s also nurturing and naturally smart and talented at everything he puts his passion into. he’s resourceful and crazy adaptable and he’s equal parts a protector as much as he is a fighter. he can be broody and blunt but he can also be witty and hilarious with his dark sense of humor and somewhat messed up mind and moral code. if you’re considered close to jooseok then he’ll kill half the population of daegu easy with his own hands with no worries so long as you’re safe. 

he worked undercover in america for a year so he can speak english and went by the shortened name of jo over there but most people call him seok or ong in korea to shorten his name to a nickname. he’s fluent in his english, jooseok is well known for being a quick learner in every area if u know what i mean *side eyes*

can be a bit of a fuckboy but has a big heart deep down despite it all, just keeps it concealed because of past toxic relationships and the belief taught into him from early on that any attachment to anything you don’t owe it to, would only result in weakness and vulnerability. and you don’t want people to know you have weaknesses when you do what jooseok does. *coughs* for this reason he has had a lot of pining and unrequited love situations *coughs* 

he’s not that close with his parents, he keeps a strictly professional relationship with them mostly but his mum is his idol for her mentality and attitude to life. though he wishes he could achieve more than what she allowed for him to be a part of. wishes he could be normal. 

OTHER LIL HEADCANONS: 

joo joined the gang officially at seventeen when the initiation process took place and this was the time he met hyunjin ( @phyunjinn​ ) also known as his best friend and right hand man. they quickly became partners in the gang for everything, if joo had business to deal with especially the dangerous kind then nate would be by his side, acting as his protection for anyone who dared cross him and likewise he would give the same back. think kinda like alec and jace i guess as a good example with the whole parabatai bond aspect. they fight the best when they’re fighting together, and if one of them died, a huge piece of the other would die with them. 

at first joo actually refused to talk to nate cause he’s a lil shit and he didn’t get why it should be important but dami urged her son, pointing out they were of similar ages and being initiated at the same time and it was important to have someone he could talk to and rely on like that. so he sidled his way over eventually and pretty easily and nonplussed like made a best friend out of the other male. they grew to have a secret code of trust between them, joo learning sign language for the male to put him at ease and also ordering the rest of the gang did the same despite complaints he quickly shut that shit down arguing they needed to be able to communicate with nate in his way to ensure his safety faster if need ever be. ( but for him personally, he learnt because he wanted to be able to talk to nate in the way that comes most naturally to the male ) 

in college he’s considered a soft jock type, heart of gold but he’s very physically attractive and a bit of a heart throb and definitely considered sporty despite also being very musically driven. 

PLOT IDEAS: 

joo needs some college friends, musically talented people he can consider study buddies, he was actually almost an idol once when he nearly signed on with a company because of how musically talented he is as a producer and songwriter - typically he only writes for close friends and always ensures the lyrics feel truthful and genuine to his friend’s stories but yeah give me people he is encouraged by with that and just able to be himself with.

other criminal underground kinda connections bc u know keeps business thriving to link up with other famously dangerous people and work together. 

i would so love a good cop,bad cop type thing where someone who he’s on the police force with or is also training to be in the police force with him is genuine and legit and knows he isn’t and is kinda like shunning tf outta him for it but also trying to teach him how to be better without even realizing it and sort of having their mind changed on how simple good and bad is bc actually there is kind of a grey area which joo belonged to.

"You never asked me what's my job." He coughed several times under the glare of the other disdainful customers before catching his breath, avoiding her look. This must have made him suspicious in the eyes of the woman in front of him; he always looked like a child caught at fault when confronted with moments like this. Virgile remained silent and Evelyn resumed, resting her elbows on the table, not giving up. "Because you're not interested? Or you know and you don't want to talk about it?" More than red, he was turning crimson. His gaze was on the restaurant's décor, the sleek modern style, the chrome accents to underline the white walls where hideous gaudy pictures were hung to make it look like art … everywhere but on her. Unable to escape, trapped by his chair and his lunch, he finally took a breath, and whispered, "I already know". She didn't seem offended, quite the opposite. "Thanks to NetWatch or…?" He cut her off with a firm gesture, finally turning his gaze towards her. "I would never use my job to get information on someone. We're adults, we can… talk." He sighed, his leg trembling and his hands twisting as if he were telling a shameful secret. "Because I've been to Clouds before and met you there." He thought he'd never have this conversation, Evelyn talked little about her private life and he'd hoped she'd continue to do so without having to justify anything. His heart raced and his hand caressing the back of his neck betrayed his nervousness. For her part, she continued to smile, almost amused, then took on an air of conspiracy as she moved a little further forward. "And you're ashamed of something?" Her steady voice sought information, perhaps she was imagining what they might have done. Virgile had difficulty swallowing before answering, his gaze shifting. "I don't know," he replied. "Is it wrong to take advantage of someone's unconsciousness to get rid of problems?" "By get rid of your problems, do you mean … sex?" Virgile's face froze and he opened his eyes wide. With a sudden movement, he almost spilt his drink. "What? No! No ! " He saw her laugh as he tried to calm down. "I never wanted to… with a doll."

An Overdue Writing Update 8/9/19

Favorite Line: “Do you hate me?” I wonder. “Just curious.” “I hate this you. This awful person you became once Sophie left. I actually really liked the you I saw with her.” Grace sighs. She sounds… sad. “How funny. I’m the same way.”

(the month overdue) Update: So we’ve hit writing well over 5000 today so that means i need to stop writing, which also means i’ve been bored as heck for the past three hours with nothing to do because all i want is to KEEP WRITING DFSGHFKJLGH so i thought i’d pop back to tumblr and catch yall up since i’ve been absent for exactly a month, funnily. Its under a read more because... long...

In this month, I’ve written... 38k words for this rewrite of a story i discontinued years ago because it fucking sucked (obviously, i wrote it when i was 12 for gods sake). Its just hit the Finale where i left it, but i’m intending to leave it there because i dont like the Finale i’ve set up and intend to change it completely in the rewrite ANYWAYS, so who cares right? Since ive been doing rewrites and comparing them to how i do first drafts, i’ve been noticing that my first drafts have shit pacing (i mean obvi it’s a first draft), but that turns into underwriting like fuck, aka ending at 40k-50k words. Sparks Fly T1 was barely over 50k, T3 ended at 62k, and i intend to do a T4 at some point too, where i expect it’ll get even longer. So ive actually been putting less pressure on myself to get pacing and length and whatnot right in the first draft, and really just getting the idea and general plot. Which, okay, i know is what you are SUPPOSED to do in first drafts and this isnt any big revelation, but you need to realize, i haven’t rewritten anything in the past 9 years of writing until Take 3 of sparks fly (T2 didn’t get past 20k words, but im counting it as an attempt). For 9 years of writing novels, i did my best to get draft one PERFECT because i knew i wouldnt redo it, and i think that caused a lot of my unfinished wip actually. Too much pressure. Now that i know i CAN do rewrites if its worth it, its not as big a pressure.

So because of this realization, I finished the rewrite of the old thing, which im considering its first take(idk why i call them Takes, not Drafts? idk its just a thing i do). i’m changing the title, most of the characters are massively changed, the plot is entirely scrapped and redone, like it’s just a new story now with vague inspiration from that old thing at this point. It’s shit, it’s not good, but it’s done (mostly, again didn’t do the end bc it’s being overhauled anyways and i can’t find a way to change the ending that draft has set up without rewriting it all so. shrug. might do it anyways, prob wont). I’m also starting something new in the DHU universe that i cant say anything about, but i think i started it like, two scenes after it probably should start, the pacing is truly terrible, but im having a ball because im not putting any pressure on myself to do those right, i’m just exploring the characters and piecing together the plot. It’ll probably wind up being around 30k, but hopefully its more. So this story is going great, and i’m really happy i figured this out about myself. Finishing rewriting Sparks Fly was honestly the biggest achievement i’ve ever made in writing, and i’m so proud of it, and just. I’m so glad i did it, because it’s just made things so much better for me, simply because i proved i can do it. It might take a few years breathing room, but i can do it. Any just... yea.

So that’s what i’ve been up to this past month basically. The redo of the thing from when i was twelve, and this new project i can’t say anything about yet. Oh, also a shitty fanfic or two. I won’t be coming back to tumblr except very sporadically to make an update or say hi to someone, by the way. It’s been so amazing for my mental health to be off here, and my writing productivity has gotten much better to, and... yea. Hello! Hopefully you see this haha. Patreon is sort of like Netlfix in it is a monthly charge for goods. To get 3 cc hairs early each month, it is a $1 pledge. Higher pledges get better rewards(such as watching me work on cc, getting to vote on hair releases, and more). I think that Patreon is a great way to help support creators as long as they do it right (no exclusive CC). I really hope this helps you and thank you so much if you decide to pledge any ammount <3

hey!! sorry for the super late reply omg, welcome to simblr!! it is kinda crazy here but hopefully u can find ur peeps and make a nice home :) anywaysssss i think u mean recoloring, which is like when people add different colors other than the 18 EA base colors. I don’t allow people to use the meshes mainly bc I know that sometimes I have to go back and update things and this way the recolors don’t have a broken mesh and require that person to redo their package.

urgg i really wish i could make video tutorials and stuff for blender and hairs :( I have tried about 3 or 4 times to record/stream and it is so laggy and just pure shit on stream and twitch. I kind of just learned stuff as i went in blender but a must have is a mouse of some kind, otherwise it is 10x harder

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean? bleh I have two usernames, and both stories are embarrassing LOL I’ll go with my actual ao3 name though I guess?? When I was in middle (?) school I used to watch the anime HOTD, which is like...awful first off. It’s borderline hentai, shitty fanservice, the whole thing (don’t ask me why I watched it, bc who knows, the music was A+) but my favorite character’s name was Saya, and her servants would call her ladysaya, so that’s the explanation for that ha. I put the x in front because I used to be obsessed with x men and all the marvel/dc animated series, so it felt appropriate pft. Man, even talking about this brings back so many cringe worthy memories lmao forgive me. 

2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (Bookmarks/ Subscriptions/ Hits/ Kudos) for Haikyuu!! it’s definitely Slipping Underneath, and for K Project it’s There You Are <3 

3. What is your AO3 profile icon and why did you choose it? It’s Semi! The reasoning for this is because I have 3 fav Haikyuu!! characters: Tsukishima, Oikawa, and Semi. So I just try to distribute my love evenly tbh lol. I have a Tsukki icon on here and discord, Semi for AO3, and Oikawa is on my phone case ^^ 

4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters? ahhh I have several but I’m not aware if many of them have tumblr?? A lot of people who comment on every chapter of my multichapters are very special to me, I love them all! Ofc on here there’s @emeraldwaves @ivyfics @momomirasaki124 @uselessvalshit @starjem and then I have my other fav supporters @serviceace @caelestisxyz and @urikawa-miyuki  <3 

5. Is there a fanfic you keep going back to read again and again? Ah damn there are so many lmfao, I have a lot of fav fics and I don’t want to make this post super long. Please check out the rec posts I’ve done here and here ! Or also message me for specific types of fics <3 I will say though, one fic I always go back to read even though it’s been YEARS is a kyoukao fic by potionwine! 

6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked? I consider myself pretty picky, but I do read a LOT of fic, so I have a decent amount of both ^^ About 187 bookmarks, and 16 fic/author subscriptions! 

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most? Probably college?? even though I know that’s super broad, and all kinds of different AUs can be based in college but that’s how it is lol. I think that’s because I honestly don’t like redoing AUs?? I like experimenting and making up really weird shit and original scenarios as much as possible. Though, I’m sure you can find apparent trends across all my fics ^^ 

8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? haha...I have 76 user subscriptions, 436 general fic subscriptions, and 792 bookmarks. I don’t even know how that’s real lmao I feel so blessed that so many people enjoy my writing <3 

9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!) not really honestly, if I have an embarrassing or indulgent idea at this point, I just write it lmao idc but there are lots of types of fics I am scared to write just bc I don’t know if I could do them justice heh....

10. Is there anything you’d like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc. yes lmao updating better would be something I’d LOVE to improve on ; ; Also writing action scenes too fff fuck action scenes

11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often? Uhhh I’ve dabbled in both but yeah, more often than not I stick to more popular pairs just because I need content to motivate me pftt

13. How many stories do you have saved in/ with your writing program? Like WIPs? ffff WIPs...maybe like 4 or 5 at this point, including multichapters, and wow that’s actually not a lot, usually I have a ton and I’m drowning in them loool

14. Do you write down story ideas or just keep them in your head? Both...I usually just keep things in my head, but if a fic starts giving me issues, I like to plot it out

15. Have you ever co- authored a story? Nope, but I’d really love to at some point with a friend! 

16. How did you discover AO3? Uh I honestly don’t remember loool I think one day I sorta just saw that no one was using ff anymore and I was like ‘aight’ 

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3? Not really lmao, I mean...my siren au does pretty well, but otherwise my fics get kinda slept on -shrug- it is what it is 

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers? lol i do not

19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write? Well I’ve always loved to write so no, but @brynne-lagaao is a big reason I started writing sarumi fics back when I was in K fandom! And nowadays in the hq fandom, a lot of amazing authors really push me to keep writing ^^ 

20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author? don’t be afraid to write and write whatever you want basically lmao I know it can be daunting if you think your writing skills aren’t matching up with other authors, but the best thing you can do is practice, practice, and eventually you will see results! Also read a lot, reading other ppl’s stories really helps, and above all, just have fun with it! 

21. Do you plot out your stories or do you just figure it out as you go? I try to have a basic plot (beginning, middle, end) because I used to just DIVE IN to stories and it was awful lmao I need some sort of guideline, even if it’s small

22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do? yes ofc, but I honestly try not to dwell on them because they’re not worth it. I either ignore or delete in most cases

23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (Action, smut, etc) action and smut are never easy for me lol

24. What story(s) are you working on now? well right now I’m working on two secret santa fics for iwaoi, as well as my two kurotsuki multichapters! I am also trying to write kacchako as a x-mas present for a friend lol

25. Do you plan your new projects before you finish your current ongoing story(s)? ha yeah, it’s a bad habit but I have no self-control

26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself? I do not! I just try to write at least a little bit each day if I can, but there’s never a word minimum I try to reach ^^ 

27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started? oh 100% lmao comparing some of my old fics from even a year ago to my fics now is eye opening 

28. What is your favourite story that you have written? Shaking in My Skull for sarumi, it’s also the longest fic I’ve ever written and it holds a special place in my heart ; ; For kurotsuki it’s gotta be Let My Love 

29. What is your least favourite story that you have written? fuck me, Pencils and Paper LOL it was an earlier sarumi fic of mine and I just...hate it. I’m not even gonna link it LOL 

30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years? Still writing fanfic most likely, maybe some original stuff (I hope!)

31. What’s the easiest part about writing? lmao nothing, writing is super hard work, sometimes even just thinking up ideas can be difficult, then there’s actually writing and making the ideas come to life, and don’t get me started on editing lmaooo writers are my heroes 

32. What is the hardest part about writing? Finding the motivation, at least for me. I struggle sometimes with it because I’ll have the time and inspiration but depression just kicks my ass every time fff

33. Why do you write? For me it’s super therapeutic, I love the satisfaction of putting hard work into an idea you love and finishing it, and the high that comes with that. Plus sharing the story with others and getting positive feedback is a feeling that can’t be beat. I’ve always loved writing, I love how the possibilities are endless, and I hope I never stop <3
