Top Ui templates to upgrade for designs
No one has enough time in the digital age to spend on a certain tool or webpage because there are so many other options available if they don't find it fascinating. Only good UI UX design agencies in India can encourage their customers to interact more and stay on its app or website for longer periods. To engage the end user and help the business convert leads, UI/UX is crucial.
Today, to compete with businesses, one must work incredibly hard to give their user nothing but the best. Many user-friendly and straightforward UI UX design agencies in India are available but online templates are making life easier for both businesses and individuals with modest start-ups.
Let's discover the best tools and apps that may quickly improve your website design and be used by multiple best Ux agencies in India -
1.     The Pencil tool – The pencil tool can be used to build computer user interfaces that have the appearance and feel of the most widely used operating systems and platforms developed by eCommerce web design companies. It has add-ons that may be used with Mozilla Firefox as a web browser. enables connection across project sheets so that the browsing experience between models can be best simulated.
2.     Adobe XD - With their enterprise-grade app, Adobe XD offers to assist you in designing, prototyping, sharing, and collaborating. You can create a master element with personalized properties to be utilized by the best UX design agencies in India throughout your website or app using its sleek asset management.
3.     Axure - Nearly everything you require to create a simple wireframe is available in Axure. Functionality testing is made possible, and everything is assembled for simple developer handoff.
4.       InVision -   InVision is a cloud-based tool that lets designers generate mockups and produce interactive prototypes. For seamless feedback and a shared design system to keep teams connected, uniform, and current, InVision connects their existing workflows. Invision is a wonderful option for designers or those looking to work for a big company.
5.     A sketch - It is a design tool that has become the de facto industry standard for creating high-fidelity prototypes and user interfaces with real-time previews on mobile devices. It includes a Symbols feature that makes it easier to develop UI elements for reuse.
 6.     Wireframe.cc - This application provides a clutter-free environment with Version control, notes, click-and-drag drawing, and a unique URL for sharing and bookmarking are just some of the features available in this wireframing tool.
7.     Mockflow- It is one of the greatest free UI/UX tools since it offers app development features both on-premise and in the cloud. It's free to use and comes with its own app development tools for both on-premise and in-the-cloud versions of Adobe Illustrator.
8.     Proto. io provides everything you need to organize, include, and test precise mockups. The application enables designers to quickly create interactive mockups by providing a choice of standard UI elements and transitions.
9.     Mockplus - With the help of the rapid wireframing and prototyping tool Mockplus, designers can quickly generate interactive wireframes for websites and mobile apps, allowing them to share and test different design concepts.
 10.  Figma -Talking about the best tools that we can't miss out on, one of the best tools for UI design is Figma. It has a drag-and-drop user interface editor that makes it possible for cooperation across organizations.
Tumblr media
Ending up with a conclusion
To maintain the same level of proficiency and standards as the best UI UX agency in Mumbai, UI and UX must adjust to new procedures and tactics along with web design alterations and trends. The more innovative ideas and Wao factors you incorporate into your website, the more audience members will be engaged with it, increasing the likelihood that your time and expertise have been put to good use.

Who is Lawrence Nathaniel?
Buckle up, y’all- it’s a ride.
Tumblr media
At a mere 26 years old, this kid has collectively grabbed our attention, but who is he and where did he come from? Depending on who you ask he could be anything from a Congressional candidate, President of one of the many foundations and orgs he’s “founded,” a young and up and coming organizer, or a class “A” grifter. Most of those you will ask usually use the latter to describe him.
His “career” began in Orlando, less than weeks after the tragic shooting at the Pulse Nightclub killing 49, a press release was published detailing a rally and memorial for the those lives lost. The event director was- you guessed it- Nathaniel Lawrence.
Tumblr media
In an initial press release, published June 27, 2016, boasted five big name sponsors such as Publix and famous performers such as Pandora Boxx and Thorgy Thor from RuPaul’s Drag Race. It billed itself as a “mass multicultural event of 20,000 or more people uniting to show love and support to this community.” In one press release, they asked the public for volunteers and donations via GoFundMe. Four days later, a second press release was published announcing that the memorial had been moved to a later date. Lawrence’s name was no longer listed anywhere on the event, the size of the crowd had also shrunk to an expected 1,000 people and the list of sponsors and performers had also shrunk tremendously- oh, and Demi Lavato and Nick Jonas were no longer listed on the release (you can’t even make this up). The memorial was eventually canceled; the first of many involving Lawrence Nathaniel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The paper trail really began in San Diego, from what one can tell- a quick Google search will pull a slew of articles surrounding planned and failed protests and rallies all of which were plagued with uncertainty, miscommunicaton, and self-promotion. Lawrence came to San Diego out of nowhere in late 2016 and approached student organizers to plan a protest at the Mexico Border. The local organizers did not know Lawrence prior to this event, they had no clue why he was there but they were happy to help. Lawrence Nathaniel led the organizers to believe that he was the President (Founder?) of the We Are One Foundation, which doesn’t exist.
Since then Lawrence has been behind a slew of rallies/protests that have drawn suspicion from the local activists and organizers because of the miscommunication, repeated call for donations, and lack of transparency. For instance, The People’s March aka the Impeachment March quickly gained traction on Facebook when the event was first published. Over 2k people said they were going and over 25k people were “interested”. When local organizers began questioning the authenticity of People Demand Action, the host of the event, they were met with either hostility or nothing at all. Some digging was done, copied from this article: “The website for People Demand Action, the organization claiming responsibility for the march, is copyrighted by the “We Are One Foundation,” which is nothing more than a website copyrighted by Presidential House USA, aka “The United States of America Presidential House” whose Facebook page was created in 2009 and was officially incorporated in October 2017.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If this seems confusing it's because it is. There’s so much more to the story here, but we must go on to the present. It’s recommended you read every single article about Lawrence Nathaniel.
As time went on, the local organizers became more weary of Lawrence, when they would inquire about permits they were met with empty words. When people in the community expressed distrust in a new organizer planning an event without first reaching out to already existing local groups and orgs that had been doing the work, he kept moving forward. When local activists were told that Lawrence had contacted not only the San Diego Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security, organizers were dumbfounded. This put not only the organizers at risk but the very people that they are fighting for, undocumented people, in so much unecessary danger. When they found out a few days before the event that the permits had not been paid for, something that they’d assumed Lawrence/WAO had taken care of as he had been the one fundraising, they realized that there was no possible way they could continue with Lawrence/WAO. The organizers split with Lawrence/WAO and asked that the $400 that had been raised for the event be transferred from Lawrence’s account to a local organizer’s with the intention of donating it to community orgs. Lawrence Nathaniel went back to South Carolina, leaving the local organizers to repair the damaged relationships caused by mistrust. Before leaving, he managed to borrow around $300 from local organizers for a plane ticket home with the promise he’d pay them back when he got paid. When the local organizers asked about the $400 raised for the event, and the $300 he borrowed he told them that he already donated the $400 to another organization, providing no proof. After trying to get the $300 back from Lawrence, he said that he sent the organizer $250, but it never appeared in their account. Lawrence Nathaniel then involved his “family manager” who then threatened legal action against the student organizers and then followed up by posting threatening messages on Snapchat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That Brings Us to Now
Why does all of this matter? I mean, there are so many more important things to worry about right now right? We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
Recently, Lawrence Nathaniel has been making quite a name for himself in his home state of South Carolina. He ran for congress for a few months, managing to raise $20,000 from his community before dropping out well before the primary.
In the wake of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of the state, protests began popping up all over the country. One of the Marches was planned in Columbia, SC by a page called I Can’t Breathe which has been in the process of ‘rebranding’- we’ll get to that later. Members of ICB leadership found out that Lawrence Nathaniel was soliciting “monetary donations” in the name of I Can't Breathe to his congressional campaign’s CashApp. They split from Lawrence and started their own group, continuing with their mission.
Tumblr media
Now, back to ICB’s rebranding- On June 23, Lawrence Nathaniel announced that he had filed the paperwork for an official Black Lives Matter Chapter and that I Can’t Breathe will be transitioning to BLMSC. Filing to be an official chapter is no easy task, you must have: (1)  legal entity (i.e. fiscal sponsorship, 501(c)(3)); (2) Completion of the induction process; (3) Conversations with current Chapters, and; (4) A grace period. To my knowledge, he’s secured none of the above. When local organizers asked if he’d had conversations with the existing unofficial branch of BLM in Columbia, SC, he became short and got defensive, leaving more local organizers suspicious of his intentions. None of this has stopped Lawrence from announcing the date of July 25th as the official launch of BLMSC, we’ll see. As of today, Lawrence has begun soliciting monetary donations in the name of BLMSC for an unknown reason. On could ask if he knows that by doing so he’s possibly violating the Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act, but he knows that already as this isn't the first time his “organizations” have been reported to the State Treasurer’s Office for being in violation.
This isn't the first time Lawrence Nathaniel has used national tragedy for public gain, but it can be his last. Please share this among your friends far and wide, he’s managed to scam people in at least two states and the District of Columbia. If you’ve been unfortunate enough to have crossed  Lawrence’s path and have a story to tell, please feel free to do so. In the meantime, please y’all- do not give this man money, but remember that the fight continues, we have work to do. There will always be those folks that will use tragedy for political or personal gain, in this case, Lawrence Deshawn Silva Nathaniel did both.
All of my sources have been linked within the body and those that have asked to remain anonymous will stay that way.

OVER 100 RELIGIOUS LEADERS STAND FOR MAUNA KEA
Tumblr media
WE who live in the Hawaiian Islands and call them home are challenged today and in the future to care for them so that those of Hawaiian ancestry as well as those of us who have affection for this special place continue to serve and care for the land and her people with authenticity and integrity.
The current test that we face for both the preservation and future use of Mauna Kea is but the latest of many that force us to take sides. To many, the choices seem insurmountable which is why we who lead and stand with our communities of faith must stand tall (Ku Kanaka) and provide the light of insight that will bring about peace and resolution to the stalemate of interests that present themselves on today on the Sacred Mountain.
Mauna Kea is a sacred space. It is wao akua—place of the gods, it is the mountain of God. It is understood asthe genesis point of the Hawaiian people, where sky father Wakea met with earth mother Papahanaumoku.
The controversy surrounding the TMT telescope continues to highlight the struggle of native peoples to protect and preserve their sacred sites from desecration.
We the undersigned have a responsibility not to stay silent in the face of injustice. We are not against science or scientific research. But it should be done in an appropriate location.
Building one more gigantic telescope on our sacred mountain might harm the natural environment, and the spiritual integrity. In light of recent arrest of kupuna, in the act of peaceful civil disobedience, the questionable telescope project is certainly harming the deep peace of our Hawaiian community!
Some may disagree, but we believe the mountain belongs to the Kanaka maoli. It is part of their homeland.
And they must have a say about what to do and what not to do on their sacred land! We offer our prayers in solidarity with all our kanaka maoli sisters and brothers who feel oppressed, bullied, and not listened to.
We pray for a deeper understanding of this very important issue. We pray for the people who insist to build in the midst of the loud outcry & the deep pain of our Kanaka maoli community. We pray for ourselves and all religious people and organizations to take action and join with others to right the wrongs.
We the undersigned religious leaders express ourselves in these words, speaking truth to power during these difficult days!

dnd session 10 highlights
10 whole sessions wao me: human fighter not me: dm, halfling cleric, half elf sorcerer, human paladin, human bard today we kept on exploring this mine place and got some cool loot however sorc pointed out “there must be a reason why we getting all these upgrades” and he’s right so that’s worrying to say the least anyway on with it, it’s p long this time but I tried to condense it
- after beating those guys guarding the office place, warlock npc translates the letter thing sorc and me found last time and we find out that, yes, the tablet we’re looking for is indeed in this mine, however it’s in the like mine’s boss’ room, which we dunno were it is (probably up the stairs that have a locked door) - we decide to finish exploring this floor just in case it’s here, cause we hadn’t checked some places yet - we leave the office and start going down corridor and immediately bump into 3 duergar that were just chilling eating smh - we roll for init and sorc goes, he wanted to cast fireball but he would hit what looked to be (normal) elf slaves so he restrained and used a line aoe spell instead, hits them all but not for much dmg - the baddest, toughest looking one runs up on him and smacks him til he’s only at 2hp - he uses some kinda command shout and the other two move up, hitting the npc warlock and leaving him at 3hp, and the cleric but missing - cleric heals sorc cause 1 more tap and he’d fall over - I run up on the big baddie, do 2 attacks and 2 more with action surge but only hit 3 of them, doing a total of 38 dmg. coincidentally, paladin tries to attack the dwarf that attacked the warlock but only hits the 2nd attack. - bard finishes big baddie with dissonant whispers - duergar that tried to attack cleric before tries again but rolls a 1, misses and becomes prone - cleric smacks him in the head twice with his mace of smiting and tries to run away but still takes dmg from opportunity attack - warlock casts eldritch blast (ofc) at both of them and finishes them both off like a frieza death beam (they were at 1 and 3 hp smh) - after this little fight we decide to talk with the cooking slaves, using the tongues spell since none of us speak undercommon, only to find out they didn’t have tongues - the next couple minutes became a game of charade with half elf sorc asking questions and them trying to gesture answers to us - after a while of this dm got tired of us being too dumb and decided to grab our hand and lead us a bit til we figured it out - they “explain” that they’re enslaved by some sort of magic contract and if we find the scroll we can probably free them - we also ask them to scribble a map of what they know of the mine and they give us some hints like “gem” and “lock” and “bad symbol” and a skull monkaS this was the best part of the whole session - after leaving the cooking slaves we found what looked like some sort of laboratory where a female drow wizard and 2 other (normal) elf slaves were doing stuff - she raised her hands and says she doesn’t wanna fight - and then the cleric recognizes her as the fucking elf from the porn we found last week LOL (ofc he didn’t bring it up cause it’d be awkward) -her name is Lia and she explains that she doesn’t like the duergar either since they’ve just cause misfortune to her people, but she works for them, analyzing ore and stuff, cause this way she’s safe and also gets some decent pay - we explain what we’re here to do, and that we’ve fought a buncha duergar already, and ask if she can help us in any way like, letting us rest in the lab. she says she won’t come help us directly but she can indeed do that. - so she casts an illusion spell on the door so we’re not found so we can take a good ol long rest since we were all tapped out from the like, 4 or 5 fights we had had so far - I said POG out loud cause she let us long rest and everyone was ???? - after we were done resting up she gave us a bottle of oil of sharpness and we carried on on our way - we found a room where this hammering noise we’d been hearing was coming from - cleric asked if blacksmith slave elf man could give us some free stuff since we’re gonna liberate them and all (we rolled to see what kinda wep it’d be) and it was a +2 normal dagger for the sorc - we go up to that one door that dispelled mage hand last time and I was like “dw guys I got a plan” and just chucked my handaxe at it, it broke and we could open it no problem - inside was some really fancy ass gem that was worth 5k gold so everyone was like :eyes: . the mage hand tried to take it out but it was too heavy. I tried and rolled a like 5 str. paladin rolled like a 6 or 7. and etc. in the end it was all up to the bard and he managed to pull a fucking nat 20 and yoink that shit right out. however, it was trapped. and he didn’t get a good enough dex roll and his ac is bad so he got stabbed in the gut for fifty fucking one (51) whole damage and instantly went unconscious at like -14 hp. - ofc being a good healer boy our cleric went and grabbed the gem first and put it in the bag of holding we had just gotten earlier before casting spare the dying on bard. after doing so however he took out one of the bards potion out and force feed him it so he came back ton consciousness and then cast cure wounds, tho he rolled a 1 and 2. - we move on to the stairs and find the locked door just as the slaves had said - it had 4 slots for gems (red, yellow, green and white iirc) but only 3 were filled so we figured that’s what they meant with the gem on the map so we went there. - the place the map indicated was were 3 guards were last time so we went to fight them - they were in a relatively narrow corridor so sorc threw a fireball at them and did some decent dmg since they all failed saves - me and cleric stayed in the back cause we heard a door that we assumed was a patrol coming by - tho we both tried to shoot some spells at the elite drow but both failed - and ofc, this fucking asshole drow did the fucking darkness shit again like last time cutting our vision of them - sorc threw a scorching ray into the darkness blindly hoping to hit someone and he did so that was cool - I’ll skip a bit forward of this combat - I ran up on the duergar that had just attacked the warlock npc and got a crit and a solid normal attack and finished him off - cleric tried to attack one of them with his spirit weapon, got a crit, but rolled a 1 for both damage die.....
Tumblr media
- the elite drow that did the darkness thing runs up on the sorc and smacks him p good leaving him at like 9hp - bard uses dissonant whispers to make him run away so sorc can get some breathing room and maybe retreat, he also got an opp attack against him but missed lol - paladin runs up to attack one of the enemies in the edge of the darkness that we could still see and finishes him. however the other two come out and smack him around a bit doing 37 damage, to which he replied “oh not bad lol” cause of his big as hp pool, even tho it’d be enough to knock out some of our squishier members - after we beat them we were looking around til I noticed signs of a secret room at the end of the corridor, which makes sense that there’d be guards here - we open the secret door and find the treasury which had a ton of money and 4 magic items (which ones in a bit) - I notice the warlock going around with some kind of lamp and ask what he was doing to which he explains that apparently duergar usually have a second secret treasury in their treasuries where they keep their actual important things, so thieves think it’s just the first one - we look around a bit and find the secret door and open it and go into the 2nd place - it had a TON more money and 4 more magic items - we had a lot of back and forth about who would get what but this is how the distribution shaked out
me: Sun Blade (+2 longsword with finesse) cleric: Cape of the Mountebank (dimension door once a day) sorc: Wand of the War Mage +2 (+2 to spell attack rolls and ignore half cover) bard: Ring of Mind Shielding (a lot of things look it up) paladin: Ring of Feather Falling (cause he has boots of flying), Mantle of Spell Resistance (advantage on saving throws against spells), Flame Tongue (Normal sword that can deal an extra 2d6 fire dmg and work as a better torch) We gave the pally the mantle cause he’s already tanky so he can be even harder to kill lol There was also a Dragon Slayer sword but idr if anyone took it? I think we put it in the bag of holding, just in case for the futureTM and that’s it. pretty eventful session this time, even if there was only 2 combats, cause of all the rping and exploring lol
next session should be on the 30th of this month unless something comes up if we find the boss I hope everything goes well cause we’re like 3k away from lvl6 lol

BARMM lawmaker wants to upgrade Lanao Sur district hospital
#PHnews: BARMM lawmaker wants to upgrade Lanao Sur district hospital
COTABATO CITY – To improve its capacity and to serve more people, a district hospital in Lanao del Sur must be upgraded, a lawmaker of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) said Thursday.
Dr. Saffrullah Dipatuan, a member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) has filed a bill seeking to upgrade the Wao District Hospital (WDH) in Wao, Lanao del Sur to sufficiently cater to the health needs of its constituents and nearby towns.
In his BTA Bill No. 79, Dipatuan wants the hospital’s current Level 1 status with a 25-bed capacity to be elevated to Level 2 with a 100-bed capacity.
He said his bill fulfills the mandate of Republic Act 11054 or the Bangsamoro Organic Law, which states that the regional government shall establish by law a general hospital system to serve the requirements of its people to ensure that the individual basic right to life shall be attainable through excellent and affordable medical services.
The hospital was created under Republic Act No. 3607 in 1979.
According to the 2015 census by the Philippine Statistics Authority, the town of Wao has 45,862 residents.
Dipatuan said the hospital has been serving more than its capacity as it provides health services not only to the people of Wao but also from the nearby towns of Amai Manabilang in Lanao Sur and from the towns of Banisilan and Alamada in North Cotabato, and Kalilangan in Bukidnon.
“It (hospital) caters to the health needs of Wao and the nearby provinces,” he said.
Dipatuan’s bill also seeks to upgrade the hospital equipment and salaries and operating expenses of the district hospital.
“It is the WDH’s mission to provide quality health care services to its constituents,” Dipatuan said.
Dipatuan’s bill was supported by at least 40 members of the BTA parliament. The proposition is expected to be passed into law within two months. (PNA)

Gothic romance?
Well, let’s see.  I guess it all depends on what you mean by Gothic Romance.   A long time ago the term Romance was used to mean anything emotional, dramatic, or exaggerated.  And most Gothic fiction fits under this category but I’ll answer under the assumption that you mean the modern definition, as in Gothic love stories.
Here we go…
Edward Scissorhands.  Probably the saddest but most obvious one to list with beautiful and haunting music by Danny Elfman.
Crimson Peak.  This one is practically a love letter to Gothic literature of the late nineteenth century and practically personifies Gothic.
Faust.  The silent version by F. W. Murnau.  This version beautifully follows Goethe’s Faust Parts 1 and 2 and ends with the bitter-sweet ascension of Faust and Gretchen to Heaven, Faust’s love saving him from damnation.
Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride.   Animated with beautiful music by Danny Elfman this film is today strangely under-rated whereas when it first came out people seemed to think it would be the next Nightmare before Christmas.
The Company of Wolves . This one is an odd film.  Using werewolves as a metaphor for sex, sexuality, and even puberty the film tells several classic werewolf legends all within the mind of a sleeping pubescent girl (having her first period).  In the dream Granny (Angela Lansbury) tells terrible werewolf stories to Rosaleen (Little Red Riding Hood) to warn of the dangers of men but in the end Rosaleen shows sympathy to a werewolf huntsman and it’s implied she becomes one as well.  This is from director Neil Jordan (Interview with the vampire) and can work on it’s own (without understanding of the metaphors) as a good, yet trippy early 1980s werewolf movie.
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.   Nineteen forties novel, movie, and 1960s TV series.  This is a sweet story of a self-sufficient young widow (in the Victorian era) who ends up in a very peculiar and loving relationship with the ghost of a cantankerous old sea captain.  It’s more empowering than anything you’ll ever find in Twilight.
She Creature (2001 film.  Not to be confused with the 1950s film of the same name.  It has a very different plot.  Also sometimes titled She-Creature: Mermaid Tales).   This film deals with some carnival people trying to take a captured mermaid back to America with them but the mermaid is more of a predator than they realize and she starts to kill off the men who hold her prisoner, only showing sympathy to the one female on board, whom she seems to have developed feelings toward.
Dracula (1979 film).  I like this one because the Mina character (called Lucy in the film) is actually a very strong and aggressive character. You can even argue that she is the one who seduces Dracula first.  She also speaks her mind when she disagrees with his actions.   And it intrigues and delights him.
Bram Stoker’s Dracula.   The love story might be purely created for the film but I still like it.  Even if they did take some odd liberties about how Dracula became a vampire.
Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula.  Surprisingly respectful to history while still implying Dracula becomes the vampire, the dynamic between Vlad and Lydia is sweet.
Love at First Bite.  This one is a romantic comedy but I have a soft spot for it.  It even gives Dracula a happy ending.
The Vampire lovers.  If you want a little bit of Lesbian romance than The vampire lovers might be for you, it’s an adaptation of Carmilla with one of the main character’s names changed but other than that it follows the novel better than some other adaptions and has a great ambiance and atmosphere.
Interview with the vampire. If you can’t tell that Lestat is in love with Louis than you have no eye for subtlety.  Not strictly a romance but you can tell there is love between the main characters.
The Bride.   Not to be confused with The Bride of Frankenstein this movie is from 1985 and is a very modern (though set in the past) exploration on the Bride of Frankenstein idea. It also gives The Creature a happy ending and I’m kind of a sucker for hopeful outcomes.
Beauty and the Beast.  Nearly all versions of Beauty and the Beast (when done well) are Gothic romances.  Though if you want something a little darker than Disney than I would suggest the 1940s version or the surreal 2014 French version (now available on DVD in the US.)  The 2014 French version has beautiful visuals but the chemistry between the leads is a little weak.  It also gives a very intriguing new backstory for The Beast.
Sleepy Hollow.  The romance between Ichabod and Katrina is simple yet beautiful. (1999 movie.  Not the TV series.)
Warm Bodies.  May people call this the zombie equivalent to Twilight but R has a lot more character depth and development than Edward ever had.  Also it’s the only Zombie apocalypse movie to have a happy ending. And though the metaphors are a bit ham handed I think it’s sweet.  Love and feeling is what makes you alive.
Let the Right One In.  Though the relationship is platonic the protagonist’s bond is deep and sweet.  And if you want a little violence in your romantic movie night wait until you get to the “bullies at the pool” scene.  You’ll get something delightfully terrible.
Phantom of the Opera (2004 musical / opera version)
Disney’s Hunchback of Notredame.  I say the Disney version because the romantic aspect of the original is purely in the emotional nature of the story.  Any “Love story” aspect was purely one sided but in the Disney version you get to see reciprocated and unappreciated love.  Also, who doesn’t love “Hell Fire”?
Dorian Gray (2009 version).  Though this film deviates from it’s source material it does capture the heart and feel of the original story and also features a sort of quasi-redmption near the end, out of love.
The Canterville Ghost (1996).   The love story in this is a bit thin but it is there between Virginia and the young lord next door.
Gothic only in it’s atmosphere, nearly any version of Les Miserables.
There are a lot more but that’s what I thought of off the top of my head.
Bonus Fantasy suggestions:  Maleficent (though it’s more of a maternal love), Splash, and Date with a Angel.
For Gothic Romance TV shows:  She-Wolf of London, Dark Shadows (original and 1990s version), and Forever Knight, and Lucifer.
For Gothic Romance novels try Carmilla, The Dracula Tape (retelling of Dracula by Dracula, himself) by Fred Saberhagen, Goethe’s Faust parts 1 and 2 (Closet Drama), Warm Bodies,  Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Beauty and The Beast (original French novel, not the fairy tale version), and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir by R. A. Dick (Pen name of Josephine Lesley).
TV mini-series:  Jekyll.  A direct sequel to the original story by Steven Moffat and it shows just what happens when Hyde develops feelings toward his alterego’s family.
And the 2004 Hallmark mini-series of Frankenstein starring Luke Goss as The Creature.  It’s very faithful the novel and has good chemistry between Viktor and Elizabeth.
Plays:  Frank Wildhorn’s Dracula The musical.  Particularly the German production.  Dracula das Musical and the Japanese version where Wao Yoka plays the best Dracula ever done by a woman you are likely to come across.
The up coming movie The Shape of Water looks very good too.

Thank you very much for enjoying this as well🥲🫶🏻
youtube
Until Shibuya last weekend, Kitagawa Rio-chan was resting so,
Morning Musume '24, performed as the 12 of us Everyone shared Kita-chan's parts
(bow)🩵
At Altair I performed, Berryz Koubou-san's "Otakebi Boy WAO!"
In the shuffle units, the common point was that our member colors are blue💙
It was fun~~💙
Also what impressed me about Altair was, that the cheer seats were really fun🌼 fufu
The Vega cheer seats were fun too but,
In particular with Altair's Vitamin ME..
Please pay attention to it if you'd like..
The real pleasure of the cheering seats..
During the line dance, I had been doing it with Nonaka since the beginning, Not everyone participated() In the middle Kita-chan was forced to participate() But, in Shibuya, finally, Everyone doing the line dance came true🏵🏵
I was so happy, After the line dance, We had a standing ovation lol
.⚠️ Unrelated to that, the members who were seriously performing in the center, were of course wonderful!!!
Those jumping suddenly during the hook, On the opposite side of the cheering seats, Maria-chan was doing it the whole time,
I was also reacting to it🫣🫣
Being in the cheering seats during Moshimo too, It was happiness as it was verryyyyyy cute…🩷
From there, Dance de Bakoon!
All members song..
Although, Everyone surrounded Ishida and Kamu-chan, That was also really fun
In the A Melo, I would sing "funky danshi", Behind me was BEYOOOOONDS's Kurumin and, I think Nishida was directly behind me but,
Without a mic they did a "Ayuminnn!' call😎
1 time, there was a performance where I was able to make great eye contact with Nishida before singing, at the time the volume of the calls were amazing and funny lolol
With Kamu-chan as the 2 of us during the silence
The moments that remain on stage, were veryyyy special😌💜💙
Blowing away the anxiety from the first time we rehearsed it like, I don't have to be on time for the sound!? The voices of the fans going, Fuu~~ It made me happy😌💜💙
Really, really, Everyone who was looking forward to seeing it in Aichi🥲🫶🏻
Did you receive it even a bit..

7 sci-fi writers who should pen new 'Star Trek' episodes
New Post has been published on https://writingguideto.com/must-see/7-sci-fi-writers-who-should-pen-new-star-trek-episodes/
7 sci-fi writers who should pen new 'Star Trek' episodes
AsStar Trekfans react to the announcement of anew TV series for the franchise, we’re seizing the opportunity to imagine which acclaimed sci-fi writers we want in the captain’s chair.
One of our favorite things aboutStar Trek, in particular the original series (TOS), is itsdirect connection to the culture of science fiction. Richard Matheson, Theodore Sturgeon, Harlen Ellison, Peter S. Beaglethese are just a few of the many acclaimed writers of science fiction who wrote iconic episodes for TOSand its successors over the years. Not only did TOS consistently put established and important sci-fi writers at the helm of the Enterprise, but Next Generationspringboarded the careers of a bevy of writers who went on to create over a decade of sci-fi shows on television.
So who’s next? CBS has a huge opportunity here to return to the show’s roots and invite a modern generation of sci-fi writers, both young and old, to leave their mark on the series that helped shape many of them into the writers they are today.
Here’s our wish list of writers we’d love to work onStar Trek for a new agehopefully inspiring a generation of new writers in their stead.
1) Connie Willis
Goodreads
Who better to write for the most beloved science fiction franchise than the writer who’s won more awards than any other science fiction writer in history? With her epic Doomsdayseries as well as other standalone novels, Willis seamlessly merges high themes like religion and death into intricate concepts like time travel and journeys inside the mind. She’s also an expert on the genre and how to thoroughly canvass it for new ideas, which is probably why we can’t stop giving her all the Hugos and Nebulas. We can’t think of anyone better qualified to usher TV’s most iconic space opera into its new era.
2) Andy Weir
Goodreads
Come on, the guy just put a man on Mars. Nothing is more Trekkie than that. The Star Trekfandom isalready cracking jokes about Weir’sMartianMark Watney being a member of Star Fleet. This needs to happen.
3) John Scalzi
Goodreads
This one’s a no-brainer: Of course CBS should tap Scalzi, with his massive blog audience, social media reach, and string of acclaimed bestsellers including an actual work ofStar Trekfanfiction, to write new episodes ofStar Trek. InScalzi’sRedshirts, the expendable, nameless crewmen of the Enterpriseactually nicknamed “redshirts” by the fandom because of their red uniforms indicating low rank on boardtake control of their fates to halt their high death toll. How much would welove to see Scalzi turn this idea into actualStar Trekcanon? Make it happen, guys.
4) N.K. Jemisin
Goodreads
Though Jemisin is known for her award-winning works of fantasy, she started out writing science fiction before transitioning into fantasy and has statedthat “science fiction and fantasy are pretty much equal partners to me.” Her books are brimming with realistic worldbuilding and real physical and social sciences, like her most recent dystopian repeat apocalypse-ridden Fifth Season. Her take on her genre harkens back to classic forms of fantasy likeGilgameshandThe Iliadrather than Tolkien and his descendantsall things that make her an ideal writer to put her own unique spin on the mythology of Star Trek. She’s also been outspoken on the shortcomings of Star Trek’s recent iterations regarding race and other forms of representation. As a writer who constantly looks father afield for tropes and influences than Euro-centric fantasy, Jemisin isthe kind of writer the new millennium Star Trekneeds.
5) Cory Doctorow
Goodreads
Few sci-fi writers have been so closely concerned with the real-life issues that spawn the dark visions of cyberpunk dystopias as Doctorow, who made a name for himself championing Internet freedom, open source and remix culture, and Creative Commons alongside his contemporary sci-fi novels. A true futuristic visionary, Doctorow has the talent to churn out mind-bending installments of new Trekaimed at future cyber-rebels like himself.
6) Peter David
Goodreads
The illustrious David has a long and formidable career of sci-fi, comics, and fantasy writing to his name, and he’s not even out of his 50s. Moreover, he’s got tons of experience writing for Star Trek:io9 called him “the undisputed master ofStar Treknovels” thanks to his string of tie-ins for the franchise in the ’90s, including The Riftand Izmadi, both considered must-reads by the fandom. He also has another distinction that makes him perfect for the new era of Star Trek: finally turning the long-subtextual friendship of Rictor and Shatterstar into a canonical gay relationship in his acclaimed run of X-Men. We’d love to see David getting his hands on newStar Trekcharacters and applying his new, fresh ideas to a series he’s familiar with of old.
7) Junot Diaz
Goodreads
This Pulitzer-winning MacArthur fellow is best known for The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, a pseudo-autobiographical literary work tinged with magical realism about a science fiction and fantasy fanboy. Diaz has always had a complex relationship with science fiction, and a keen awareness of the ways in which the genre both confronts and is limited by post-colonial power dynamics. After just missing out on a couple of epic science fiction novels from Diaz, we would rejoice if he finally got to flex his sci-fi muscles in an episode ofStar Trek.
Honorable mentionsa few sci-fi heroes we’d love to see try their hand at Trek, though even we have to admit the odds are pretty unlikely: Margaret Atwood, Samuel Delaney, Karen Joy Fowler, Neil Gaiman, Kelly Sue DeConnick, and Dan Harmon.

Goals (as of May 28th): The Second!
I came here last month, and declared my goals.  A month later, I figure it’s time to write about my progress, and set new goals.   And so it is...!
Weight (Update): Last month, I wanted to weigh less than 310 pounds by Memorial Day.  Technically, I did this.  I’ve been weighing in at 309 this past week, but popped up to 311.  (I’m PMSing, so I’ll give that extra pound to water weight.)  I got in my head about this goal a bit, and was really hoping to get to under 300 pounds.  This post was a good reminder of realistic goals.  :)
Activity (Update): Last month, I declared my “Couch to 5K” program.  I didn’t do this, but I am happy with what I did get done.   First off, the second or third time I started doing this running program, I got a terrible cramp and muscle soreness in my leg.  It lasted for at least two weeks.   I’ve continued seeing my personal trainer twice a week, so I’m staying active.   I’ve learned that some of these muscle issues may be related to my multiple sclerosis diagnosis (!!!), so I’ve been given a prescription to help it along.
Reading (Update):  I wanted to get through three books.  As long as I finish “You Are a Badass” this weekend, I will have done this.  It’s three things:  1) Americanah, 2) The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, 3) You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness.  I didn’t realize that this came so easily, so I’m excited about this!
So, I nailed 2 out of 3, and the 3rd was a learning experience!
What’s happening next month?
Weight (Goal):  If we assume that I weigh 310 today, I want to be under 300 pounds by the end of June, if not sooner.  These pounds between 311 and 308 just keep going back and forth.  I’m technically the lowest weight I’ve been in over a year now... but under 300 pounds would be great.
Activity (Goal):  I want to get a workout in at least four days a week for the month of June.  That will probably look like two days with my trainer, and two days doing something I like.  I’ve been getting back in the saddle with spinning classes, and I’d love to get back to Zumba, eventually.
Etc. (Goal):  I’ll maintain the goal of 3 books this month, and while it’s good to consume information, I think I need to focus on my thoughts on it or feelings about life these days.  In addition to reading three books this month, I want to have a goal to write at least two posts in the next months about my journey to healthier.   It’s good to have some reflection time, and writing may be a forcing function. :)
