I made alterhuman propaganda for my friend, who's questioning alterhumanity. Everyone can be nonhuman if they want to. This includes therians, otherkin, nonhuman, alterhuman, otherlink, copylink... Made this in canva instead of listening in class haha whoops.

Being nonhuman as an adult is almost... boring. And that's (kind of) the point. "But why saying that you're nonhuman, it doesn't affect your life, it doesn't change anything!", you may say. "These gen zs and their weird identities, in my times-". And everything that we've heard before. "You're an adult, act like it", yeah, yeah.

I'm not nonhuman because of a "trend". I've known I'm nonhuman for almost a year, now, and nothing has changed. Well, I've picked a few more kintypes along the way, but that's all part of the process. I can tell you right now that if I've known that theriantrophy was a thing five, ten years ago, I would identify as an animal much, much sooner. It's what I am, after all.

I've known I'm asexual since I was thirteen. Why? Because at that age I discovered that it exists. I've known I'm transgender since I was fourteen. Why? Because at that age I discovered that it exists. I've known I'm aromantic since I was twenty. Why? Because at that age I discovered that it exists. Heck, and not just identities either. Books that I like, hobbies that I've pursued, people that I met. That's all part of the process of being (in my case) nonhuman, to discover new things, to be happier, to be free.

It was never because we need identities to define ourselves. Yes, when I was a teen I was obsessed with labels, but that's because I was a teenager and that's what teenagers are. Gen Zs and Gen Alphas label themselves over and over because it's what we've been taught to fit in. Well, turns out my labels are out of the ordinary. And that's okay! I'm not harming anyone, even if it may seem weird, it's who I am.

I'm nonhuman because it's what it feels right. I feel happier with myself, even people in my life have commented it, even though they don't even know I'm nonhuman. Yes, it's unusual, but it doesn't harm me! Just like being alive doesn't harm me! It helps me see and perceive the world in a way that I've never felt before. I go more on walks, because dogs need walks! I take more naps, because cats need their rest! I'm more observant and patient because Watchers supervise their worlds! Dogs are optimistic, Watchers are smarter, cats are more elegant than me. But I'm those species, so I am those things too! It's amazing!

Sometimes I want to talk to people irl about nonhumanity, to educate people about what it is and just clear misconceptions... Then I remember how weird are people with identity stuff and I shut my muzzle

Today I had to bribe myself with chips to go to class. It was funny because it was like I had a whole conversation in my head with the rational part of my brain. It went something like this:

Me: OUGHHHHHH I don't wanna get up, my nest is comfyyyy

Also me: You have to! You have a reunion with a college professor you can't miss! It's important!

Me: Noooo, I'm tired, I had eight hours of class yesterday and had to make soup and clean when I went home, leave me be... Also I'm sick so fuck you

Also me: Please? It's really important

Me: No

Also me: What if... I bought you snacks and you brought them to class? Would you do it then?

Me: ... I'm listening

Also me: How about... Chips? You like chips, right?

Me (ears up): Chips? Chips for me?

Also me: That's right. Chips. Because you deserve it and you were brave and a very good boy. But only if you go to the tutoring session!

Me thinking I was a normal watcherkin when in reality my watcher "side" had a name and gender and his own memories- oop. I had just passed a really stressful period of my life and I didn't know what to do I felt so lost and worthless so I guess my brain was like "yeah no we're not doing this" and created a guy into existence from my own self-dialogue.

I was really scared because I started having memory problems again, but it turned out my "watcher shifts" were another guy fronting! So wow! That happened! I don't know if I split because I obviously didn't decide "hey I need another person to help". I didn't create Orion. He just barged through the door and decided, yeah I'm staying here

One thing I noticed in the alterhuman community is that most of us use names that relate a lot to our theriotypes. I'm Watcher because I'm a cat, @talon-dragonbeast is Talon because she's a dragon, @harpyrex is a Harpy... You understand what I mean, right? However, I've been wondering if irl names that creatures here use are related to their therianthropy. I'm guessing no, but I don't really know.

So, regarding your irl name, how much does this name relate to your theriotype/s? I'm talking about legal name, or the one you use the most with friends or family if you're trans, or nicknames. (DON'T TELL ME YOUR IRL NAME IF YOU DON'T WANT TO). If your irl name doesn't relate to your theriotype/kintype, would you legally change it to one more keen to your theriotype? Below is a poll you can answer with this question.

For example, my legal name is my deadname because my parents are transphobic and won't let me change my name. However, in college and with everyone irl who is not my family, I use another name. This name is gender neutral/masculine because I'm non binary, I use he/they pronouns irl, and it looks like a dog name. Tho I was not aware of this when I chose it, because I was fifteen and I didn't know I was alterhuman, this nane looks like a dog name. Which I'm really happy about.

I was wondering if others do what I did. Is your irl name (it doesn't matter if it's legal name, but the one you use the most) like a name that your theriotype/s would have? Would you change it legally for a more nonhuman name?

I decided to create another alterhuman poster, since y'all liked the last one so much! I created the first one for my friend, but I like the idea that we have some sort of panflets or posters with information, or just for the sillyness! This one takes a more informative point of view.

I used definitions from reliable sources. Mostly the wiki and the alterhuman archive.

By the way, if you want to print these and hang them around in your den as posters, go ahead and do it. I'll probably make more, because they are fun and easy for me to make. I'm mostly doing them because I have Canva (not pro, sadly) and I like to design these things, since I have to use the program a lot for class and stuff. I want to design like, a bunch of posters, informative or not, about alterhumanity, theriantrophy, etc, so we have a bit more creatins and graphic content in our community! I don't have anything alterhuman related in my room, and since I'm in an art block, I want to create something.

Why do folks have to spew out what physical nonhumanity means again. What happened. I thought we were all in the same page here. Physical nonhumans who are biologically nonhuman are valid, holotheres are valid, p-shifters are valid, p-nonhumans with delusions are valid... Yada yada yada.

If someone doesn't like it, block 'em! Don't try to water it down for anybody if you don't want to. You don't have to. You don't owe anybody an explanation. Take my paws. You do you. What others have to say in your life and your business and your identity, is their opinion and you can reject it. Simple as that!

So I was experimenting with changing forms because... Well, I didn't like how my watcher body looks. It's too human to my liking. I wanted talons. I wanted feathers. And watchers can change its form to whatever they want. Obviously I don't have my watcher training, but you know who does? Orion. He helped a bit.

Well, if Orion can do it when he's not fronting, why wouldn't I? I've always been able to change the size of my wings, but I tried a bit with my talons too, just to try... It worked. Then I tried with my claws, but I ended up transforming them into wings... So now I got two pairs: One for my arms and the ones that were on my back. Cool.

I'm still the same size. But I got a beak and feathers. So yeah, I got stuck in a more barn owl form. Now I'm unable to change back!

It feels weird, but I like it. Obviously to everyone else, we still look human, but I don't really care. I got what I wanted, a more beast-like form, so that's great. I got two pairs of wings now! Great! Some of the limbs on my original form remain, but that's okay.
