Meet My MC
Tumblr media
Thanks for the tag @ao719 and @dcbbw ! I might be one of the last ones to play this game 🙈and I couldn’t decide on which Trina to write about...so here’s both!
FC: non-specific Asian (technically she’s Korean-American) from YT/IG influencer accounts
Name: Katrina Bailey, aka Trina
Height: 5’3″
Fashion sense: Serendipity (AU) Trina goes for comfort over trends, but she can pull out all the stops when needed. She’s happiest in leggings/jeans and soft shirts...or Liam’s sweatshirt. Sojourn/YAtR/Morsels (OG) Trina keeps up with trends out of necessity and wears classic silhouettes for day-to-day palace business. She’d rather wear jeans and sneakers, or a maxi dress, if given the opportunity.
Does she like how she looks? Sometimes she wishes she was a couple inches taller, but that’s what heels and wedges are good for. AU Trina likes her grey eyes; OG Trina has brown eyes and likes her long locks.
Is she an only child? depending on the series, Trina has/had a sister named Josephine.
Is she a morning or a night person? AU Trina is a total night owl - for reasons - and generally falls asleep between 5-6am. Evening (roughly 6pm-1am) is when OG Trina is “with it” the most, though she gets through early mornings with strong coffee.
Is she a cat or a dog person? She’s an animal person 💙
Got any favorite foods? AU Trina loves NY pizza, pierogis, Mexican food, and clementines (she’s been known to demolish one of those mini crates they sell at Christmas on her own within a few days); OG Trina loves spicy food, fried chicken, strawberry shortcake, dark chocolate, and cabbage. Both versions love coffee and potatoes in any form.
How about favorite drinks? AU Trina tends not to drink, but if Liam’s around she’ll have a hard cider; otherwise, she loves sparkling water. OG Trina likes Prosecco, and Tom Collins in the summer, but she’s been pregnant/nursing forever (she misses drinking. a LOT).
What are her favorite movies/TV shows? AU Trina - Man Up (for reasons 😊), The Princess Bride, Roman Holiday, Back to The Future series; procedural shows like NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Blue Bloods, and while she loves watching Animal Planet, Liam gets after her for watching the cops-related ones because she ends up crying // OG Trina can watch Friends, The Office, and Parks and Rec on repeat for weeks on end, and she loves Doctor Who and medical dramas (Liam calls them “evening soap operas with scrubs”) like Grey’s Anatomy and Chicago Med; movies include old musicals like The King and I, West Side Story, and violent films like the John Wick trilogy and Boondock Saints.
Does she have any hidden talents? AU Trina can sew, and practices complicated yoga moves (Liam enjoys the latter skill immensely in the future), and she used to be a cheerleader. OG Trina knows several languages (Korean, Spanish, Italian, some French, and she’s learning Greek); she’s a pretty good cook, and she’s been known to sing in private.
Does she believe in love at first sight? Yes // Yes
Who is her love interest? Liam, always.
What is she afraid of? AU Trina is afraid of the dark and being alone if something bad happens. // OG Trina hates hospitals and spiders; being too vulnerable in front of others; slightly afraid of heights (but don’t tell Liam!)
What are her guilty pleasures? AU Trina loves warm, fresh bread dipped in olive oil or with roasted garlic and she loves not having to get “done up” to spend time with Liam (wearing glasses, no makeup, super comfy clothes) // OG Trina loves chocolate anything, and sometimes has shipments of Trader Joe’s baked version of cheetos shipped to the palace; she loves playing hooky with Liam (sneaking off together in the middle of a function, cancelling their mornings to stay in bed and/or have a leisurely morning with their boys, etc.)
What was her dream job as a kid? Is it still her dream? AU Trina sometimes thinks about designing clothing for a living, but she mostly has fun making things for herself and her friends. // OG Trina wanted to be a lawyer like her father, and she eventually made that dream come true, though she thought she’d follow in his footsteps to practice family law instead of international law.
Has she ever broken a bone? AU Trina - a few sprains from cheerleading, but nothing broken // OG Trina - thankfully no
Has she ever been in trouble with the law? AU Trina - a few speeding tickets // OG Trina - Liam handled it.
3 other random facts about her!
AU Trina
very clumsy around Liam, they’re always falling/bumping into each other
despite being half Korean, didn’t eat a lot of Korean food until she met Liam
extremely nearsighted, to a comical degree
OG Trina
she actually loves (pink lady and honeycrisp) apples, but if you ask what her favorite fruit is, she’ll say strawberry
she started wearing Liam’s cologne because she ran out of her perfume while they were away on a trip, and now they share a few bottles
bakes to relieve stress; Liam knows something’s up when alarming amounts of baked goods appear
Tagging: @thecordoniandiaries @blackcatkita @riseandshinelittleblossom and anyone that sees this that wants to play

SPN Season 15 Spoiler Sheet, update 10/14
Episode one down! Hope everyone enjoyed. Not too much this week after the glut of info of last week. Some photos from ep 3 is pretty much all we got. No episode description yet for ep 4, so that confirms the ep is unlikely to air on Halloween so we will have a one week hiatus. Under the cut!
General Info (oldest to newest)
There is likely to be 20 episodes
They are filming the 4th episode 1st, which Jensen is directing
Returning this year are: Rowena, Ketch, Eileen, Amara, Adam, and Kevin
Jared and Jensen know the ending. Jensen struggled with it at first. Misha does not know the ending as of SDCC
Matt Cohen and Richard Speight Jr. will direct
Sam, Dean, and Cas will struggle with the concept of free will and if they ever really had it
The focus will be more on Hell than Heaven
There is hope to wrap up some Wayward Daughters storylines in the back half of the season
They are adding a whole extra day to filming to do the final scene (Implies logistics- lots of returning people?)
Brad Bucker used the word “romance” when asked about Sam and Dean’s arcs. Did not specify who.
Chuck will be more of an absent protagonist in the 1st half of the season (but he in in ep 4)
At the beginning of the season Dean and Cas will still have a rift. They will reconcile “at some point”. Jensen claims as of script 4 they still have friction. This has been repeated several times, from Misha as well. He indicated Dean is still mad at Cas, but Cas doesn’t feel to blame for Mary’s death.
In an interview, Kripe indicated that the series ending would have “peace” for Sam and Dean
Not much new at the TCA’s, but it was said it is “unlikely” Jeffery Dean Morgan will be back since his last appearance was such a good end note. There were some jokes about a Castiel spin off. Hell, I’d watch.
There will be a special tribute ep, not clear if its one of the 20 or additional
Misha will be in 15 out of 20 episodes this season
According to Dabb, Sam and Dean are going to start to lose people who, in past seasons, we would’ve never lost — and lose them in a very real way. Our guys are going to realize there’s a certain finality, and some of the things they’ve relied on to get through the day — people, talents, things like that — they are no longer going to be able to roll out. And that’s going to throw them for a loop (Unfortunately, my guess in Rowena)
Also according to Dabb, Jack is still in the empty and “he’s not coming back in the near future” (this makes no sense. He’s on set for several episodes- interacting with the boys)
Cas’ deal with the Empty may come up later in the season.
Kevin will return.
Season 15 promo: https://youtu.be/V232RpcCdTY
Christan Kane (Leverage/Angel) will star as “Leo” an “old friend” of Deans.
Dabb intimated that Chuck was inherently responsible for killing Mary when asked how the boys would respond to Jack.
Adam Rose, who played Aaron Bass from the golem episode vauge-tweeted about working a show with two badass leads. Could be Supernatural, but I think the timing is off- he indicated he was filming late Friday night.
General season 15 promo- more of a retrospective: https://youtu.be/_hlkNQL5Ecg
Dabb compared Chuck and John Winchester, claiming that Dean would have to break free of “conditioning.” Also, for Jack “there have been cosmic forces fighting for his attention since he was in the womb — and that will continue. As much as this season is about Sam and Dean finding agency, it’s also about Castiel finding agency, and it’s about Jack finding agency. As always, death is never the end. It’s just part of the journey and that’s certainly true with Jack.”
Per Variety: At the outset of the season, the “Supernatural” foursome of Dean, Sam, Castiel and Jack are split up, but Dabb notes they won’t be for long because “ultimately this is a found family, and they have deep emotional bonds” that make up the most important part of the show.
Sam’s wound from the equalizer gives his powers/an advantage of some kind (per TVGuide)
Jack will be a critical part of the ending of the show
The cage/Adam is looking like it will be coming up for midseason
Shaving People, Punting Things: https://youtu.be/azTwku2uosA
The shaving promo, punting things promo shows glimpses or Lucifer!Sam and MOC!Dean, as well as bearded Dean in tactical equipment.
Episode 15x02

Robert Singer directed the episode written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (#1503). Original airdate 10/17/2019.

Sneak Peak:
Castiel? YES Jack ? YES (well, as Bel)
Guest stars: Ruth Connell, David Haydn-Jones, Rob Benedict, Osric Cho, Emily Swallow (?)
Other Spoilers/info :
A set was a high school set up to be a shelter.
Kevin, Chuck, Ketch and Rowena will be in this. Maybe Amara too. Emily Swallow was in town for only a short time, so I imagine it would just be a scene or two
Ghosts/zombies were seen on set. There will be a scene with Rowena attacking them that includes at least Dean and Cas.
There will be one longer scene in a park.
Alex was in sunglasses again - now we know as Bel
Ruth posted two vids of Misha claiming that he had filmed several scenes, but had no dialog - over three days so it must be a scripted reason (A spell? Chuck? Is he giving Dean the silent treatment?)
Ruth posted a video with her trailer, but the video showed Alex’s as well, so Jack
Misha posted from set in costume. Minus the coat again, but I’m still blaming the heat…. But he was without in the two Ruthie videos as well… soo……? I don’t know. I still think it’s a heat issue.
Night shoots are scheduled in a warehouse. Hand painted signs indicating quarantine were nearby
Kevin is back
Episode 15x03

Other Spoilers/info:
Part of this ep will take place in hell as well as the cemetery where Jack died at the end of last season
Misha mentioned a scene at VanCon with him, Sam, Dean, Rowena, and Jack/Bel
Sam Smith was on set, but I would imagine she was visiting as she was in town for VanCon
Cas will leave “in a huff”
Promo pictures show Cas bleeding from the ears
Episode 15x04 (filmed out of order)
Title: Atomic Monsters
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
Written by: Davy Perez
Director: Jensen Ackles
Filming Dates:  7/18-7/29
Airdate: 11/7

Sneak Peak:
Castiel? Probably not  Jack? Probably not
Guest stars:  Rob Benedict
Other Spoilers/info:
Jensen directed
Misha will not be in this ep
SD Comic Con was during filming
Jensen mentioned  a guest star “fan favorite”  that hasn’t been seen since season 7 that is no longer in the business. Guesses include Becky, who hasn’t acted in a while but isn’t exactly a fan favorite, Meg, who hasn’t acted but she was in season 8, and Balthazar or Frank or Jo or Rufus, but all act frequently. Jensen doesn’t always have the most accurate season memory, so he could be off on the season. Since this seems like a Chuck episode, my guess is Becky but I hope for Meg. SOURCE UNCONFIRMED- I haven’t seen this in a reliable source, so take it with a grain of salt. UPDATE- sounds like Becky in the Shaving People, Punting things trailer.
There was a beaver mascot on set… it looks like they are filming at a school called Beaverdale
Jensen and Jared filed outside in fed suits
Chuck will be in this one. Jensen directed him first alone with his beard unshaved (so maybe a solo Chuck scene or him interacting with others/not the boys). There are also theories of a time jump in this ep.
This will be a one off, classic monster hunting episode with some ties to ongoing storylines. Sam and Dean will leave the bunker to keep their skills sharp
Dean will be in the bunker in tactical equipment with a BEARD- fighting someone
Episode 15x05
Title: Proverbs 17:3
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

Castiel? No  Jack? doubtful

Other Spoilers/info::
This will most likely be Yockey’s last episode.
Matt Cohen was around, but I imagine he is following directors to prep for his own debut directing.
Scenes were filmed in the bunker and in a wooded area. A woman could be heard screaming in the outside scene.
Episode 15x06
Title: Golden Time

Misha also tweeted a pic in blood spatter with two bullet holes in his shirt
Ruth also posted a pic of herself covered in blood
At least Ruth and Jared filmed in Rowena’s apartment
This will be a witch episode- Witches will invade Rowena’s apartment looking for books. They are very powerful. Dean gets thrown into a wall and Sam uses magic to stop them (from TVGuide)
Episode 15x07
Title: Last Call
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
Written by: Jeremy Adams
Director: Amyn Kaderali
Filming Dates:  9/26- 10/7
Airdate: Dec 7th is what Christian Kane tweeted…. But that is a Saturday. Dec 5th maybe?
Photos:
Promo:
Sneak Peak:
Castiel ? Yes Jack ?
Guest stars:
Other Spoilers/info :
Misha posted from set in new shoes- very shiny with well tailored pants. (The next day he posted in full Cas costume, so are the shoes a one off? Another outfit with new shoes?)
Misha and Jensen made a video from set. I feel like if Jared was around he would have been in it since it was about money raised?  Maybe a Dean Cas scene?
There will be a battle scene in this that Jensen mentioned he was looking forward to and we would enjoy.
After NJ Con, it appeared that Jensen returned to work, Jared and Misha stayed an extra day and then Misha went home.
Jensen and Christian filmed at a bar called Swazey’s. This was the fight scene Jensen was referring to.
At some point, Sam might be shirtless or we can see part of his chest- Jared had his anti-possession tattoo at the weekend convention.
Per TVGuide, Leo and Dean will have a wild night out in an effort for Dean to recapture his mojo. Dean will become the lead of a band called Dean and the Impalas, which is made up of Supernatural crew.
Osric Chau popped over to set, but he is filming on Legends of Tomorrow in the same studio.
Episode 15x08

Title: Back and to the Future
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: Picking up where we left off last season, Sam, Dean and Castiel are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again.
Written by: Dabb
Director: Showwalter
Filming Dates:  7/30-8/9 (no filming 8/5 for Canadian holiday)
Airdate: Oct 10

Sneak Peak:
Castiel? Yes Jack ? yes
Guest stars:
Other Spoilers/info:
The first episode will start right where the previous left off
Misha posed with the John Wayne Gacy clown
Jensen posted a series of pics- one clean shaven, one vid of him shaving, and one where he    appeared to be in character with blood and dirt on his face and in Dean plaid, but with his beard… confusing- some time jump theories are developing for ep 4.
Jensen was photoed filming (wearing an FBI jacket)outside with Alex
Misha and Jared filmed outside with a woman and young girl. They were running from the clown guy and a few other zombie looking creatures. CAS WAS NAKED (haha just no trench) and holding a shotgun. It could have been rehearsal and there was no camera in the clip shared by a fan which might explain the coat? Another fan said it was hot and Misha kept taking the coat off, so I’m sure this just a piece of rehearsal footage.
Alex was filming in white sunglasses. Other set photos indicate he had makeup on his eyes making them look burnt out. There is some spec that Jack will come back blind.
Misha posted a pic of the 4 of them in the impala
According to Variety, the boys will escape the zombies in a temp shelter. They are working together, but Cas feel “detached.” Misha seems to indicate that Cas feels unfairly blamed in Mary’s death and is deeply upset about Jack.
According to TVGuide, after they fight past the zombies, they end up in a mausoleum. They end up making a “deal with the devil” to get out. This is particularly upsetting to Cas.
Posing as FBI agents, the boys seal off the town as a gas leak to contain the monsters temporarily.
Dean’s time in hell is brought up
Sam’s wound might have more meaning
Jack’s body is being used by an entity that will help the boys get out of the zombie situation.

Before the Hood - 1/6
For @jade4813 from @backtothestart02 -I’m not going to lie. This gets pretty angsty pretty quickly and ends on a bittersweet note. But it’s meant to be the prequel to my Robin Hood westallen AU that I plan to write eventually (yes, this is a Robin Hood AU, you got me), and that fic will end very happily, so if you’d like, you can consider that your fic too. I hope you’re able to enjoy this fic though!
I so appreciate you as a person and a shipper and a writer. I am always so inspired by you and your talent and appreciate so much how kind you are. So I was unbelievably excited when I received your name as my giftee (you write such incredible AUs!). Hopefully you will enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it and be hopeful about what comes after instead of in a puddle of tears. I hope I can do your masterpieces some justice and that you have an amazing Christmas and holiday season!!
Merry Christmas!
(All of these chapters have been lightly proofread, so feel free to do a re-read once I post them to AO3 & FFnet, b/c I’m sure they’ll be in much better condition then.)
Fun Fact: I did some medieval research for this story that I did try to incorporate. (1) People were not meant to be educated unless they were upperclass/royalty/clergymen. (2) Women were rarely educated period, unless upperclass and then very little. They were expected to marry and raise children. (3) The Crusades and everything according to the Robin Hood legend that I googled I tried to incorporate to some degree, since I did keep the story set in the Middle Ages. (There’s prob more, but I can’t think of what at the moment.)
Chapter 1 -
Collin Woods.
A place thick with trees, alive with wildlife, and far from any central city on the map, two hundred miles away from the literal Central City. Within the woods contained the small town of the same name, the only structure cresting above the trees being the stone castle of the royals. Previously residing there was King Richard – a loyal, good king who took care of his people and flourished the town with bountiful riches and a thriving population. But within the past several months he had left the town and its people to embark on the noble quest of fighting in the Crusades. In his place, he left his younger brother, Prince John, a selfish, spoiled, adolescent fool who little by little drained the small town of its resources until the only thing rich and satisfying to the eye could be found within the castle grounds.
Many of the young men of the town had gone off to fight in the Crusades with their King. Not all could go, because work needed to be done that could not only be sustained by older men, women, and children. But some left not only for the cause itself but to escape the death trap that had become their once thriving homeland. War with all its drudgery, pain, and rate of death on the battlefield was still a welcome reprieve. To those that survived, they only hoped their king would return with them and so sustain the lands they used to call home and create a small paradise once again for themselves and those they loved.
Beside Prince John was his wise and yet often taken for granted advisor, Sir Hiss – not his actual name of course, but his natural born lisp that often affected his speech had granted him the title. The superficial prince did nothing to correct it. Since he relished as well as mocked his only true friend – if he could be called that – the name suited him in the latter case. Trained guards were at Prince John’s disposal, as well as the particularly greedy Sheriff of Collin Woods, Clifford Devoe.
Amongst the townspeople was the West family, but with the father, Joseph, and the son, Wallace, off to fight in the Crusades, and the mother, Francine, passed many years ago, the daughter, Maid Iris, was ordered by Prince John to live under the care of Sheriff DeVoe and his wife, Marlise. Iris was rarely seen after that, except for at festivals hosted by Prince John. And by one other, who she risked everything to see night after night by moonlight, hidden amongst the trees lining Silver Lake.
Barry Allen.
Bartholomew was his given name, but hardly rolling off the tongue, his best friend, Cisco – who’d also shortened his name – decided on a nick name for the young Allen. To those around him, it had stuck.
Barry was the only child of Henry and Nora Allen. The former was the only doctor in the town. He had taken a young pupil under his wing, a girl – which was most unheard of, Caitlin Snow. He’d tried to lure his son into the teachings of medicine. There were few things greater than the ability to heal, he would say. But young Barry would have none of it. And being a friend of Caitlin himself, Barry encouraged the union. There should be more than two doctors in one town, should one fall ill, heaven forbid. But it wasn’t going to be him. Most of the time when he wasn’t home, he traveled into town to offer his skills – that of repairing homes and entertaining children – as proof of his servitude. His mother, Nora, who was a seamstress to nearly everyone found this to be a great addition to the work force. And since she needed to do little to win over her husband, most of the time he relented.
But Barry didn’t spend all of his time tending to the needs of the townsfolk. His favorite pastimes were narrowed down to three: fishing with his best friend, Cisco, practicing archery from his handmade bow and arrows, and visiting Maid Iris by moonlight.
One late afternoon in June, finished with his tasks for today, Barry idly leaned against a tree and carved himself some new arrows, preparing to get some practice in. For the Crusades he would tell his father if the subject ever arose. But it hadn’t yet. Only his friends knew of his hobby, and it was kept amongst them. It was no secret Barry didn’t want to go to war.
“Hey!”
The disgruntled voice pulled Barry out of his reverie, and he saw an unamused Cisco standing inches beneath where his arrow had landed, a hole piercing his new hat as it stay pinned against the tree behind him.
Barry had the decency to blush.
“Sorry, Cisco.”
Cisco carefully pulled the arrow free and his hat with it and placed it back on his head.
“Watch it. My mother made that.”
Cisco’s mother was not the greatest seamstress – as was evidenced by the seams falling apart of the hats she made for her son, even without arrows being shot through them. But his parents looked down upon the Allen’s for Henry’s audacity to train a young girl in medicine, to educate a peasant girl whose duty it was to marry and raise children, not attempt to heal people. And also, because Barry’s parents were not stricter with him. As a result, they forbid their son from being friends with Barry – an order he ignored fervently.
“My mother could make you a new one,” Barry offered, not for the first time, as he turned his full attention to his friend.
Cisco snorted. “My mother would know. She knows she can’t sew. It has never been her talent. And if she saw how neatly the seams were sewn, she’d know where I had been.”
Barry nodded. He knew. He just couldn’t help but offer.
“Did you see Caitlin today?” Cisco asked casually, leaning against the tree beside Barry.
Barry shook his head. “I left early this morning. Ralph was off with Sue again, so he wasn’t around to watch his younger brothers and sisters. I offered my services.”
Cisco’s lips turned up in a smirk. “Of course you did.”
“It is my contribution,” Barry said, picking up another arrow and shaving down the sides so it would fly more smoothly.
“You don’t sound happy about it.”
He shrugged.
“Maybe you’re just jealous Ralph can spend time with Sue in broad daylight when you have to sneak around with Iris by moonlight.”
Barry froze, his eyes wide as he turned to look at his friend.
“What? You thought I didn’t know?”
Barry turned his body fully.
“I’m your best friend,” Cisco said, offended.
“You’re not- You didn’t- Does anyone else-”
He rolled his eyes. “Of course no one else knows. At least not because of me. I won’t tell a soul.” He paused. “At least not until you do.”
Barry snorted and returned to his arrows.
“I’ll never be able to do that,” he muttered under his breath.
“You never know,” Cisco said, softening.
Barry picked up his bow and arrow and aimed for a farther tree.
“As long as King Richard is fighting in the Crusades and Iris is cooped up with that awful Sheriff DeVoe, there’s no way we can be together openly. She’ll probably marry that awful knight Julian,” Barry said, scowling.
“I thought he’s planning to leave for the Crusades,” Cisco said, his brows fusing together.
“Not before obtaining a marriage proposal, I bet.”
“And why would the Sheriff say yes to him? He gains too much by keeping Iris locked up. He feeds off her inheritance.”
Barry lowered his bow. “Because Julian is a knight, and his father is in Prince John’s royal guard. He probably thinks Julian won’t return from the Crusades and he won’t have to worry about it.”
“But if he does return…”
“He’ll have to own up to the promise. And Maid Iris will have no choice in the matter.”
Cisco shoulders slumped, and then he gathered himself together, determined to let them not both be burdened down by this possibility.
“It might not happen,” he offered. “Julian’s thirst for war might overcome his desire for Iris.”
Barry looked at him. “It does.”
Cisco’s brows furrowed again.
“Julian wants her because I have her. It’s his petty jealousy for everything I have that is greater than his thirst for war. All the medals and glory in the world would mean nothing to him if they didn’t also crush me into the ground in the process.”
He shot off another arrow, this one recklessly into the air at a distance. Someone could trace it, find him, discover his hobby and somehow use it against him. But he didn’t care. Few things stifled his hatred for Julian Albert, son of the guard, knight in training, who gloated about all that he would receive on his return from the Crusades. More than once Barry had wanted to retort bitterly, ‘If you return.’ But he’d held his breath. He wouldn’t sink to his level.
“And what do you have that he doesn’t?” Cisco asked, though he knew at least some of what his answer would be.
“Both parents, friends, the right to choose what I want to do, and a father who is willing to bend the rules for the sake of the people.”
“And the love of Iris,” Cisco added, which made Barry’s anger finally fizzle out.
“Yes. And that.”
In the quiet cottage just off the edge of town, Nora Allen sat in her rocking chair and picking up a new color of yarn to add to her nearest quilt. She hummed quietly to herself, a melody to harmonize with the blue birds chirping outside the window. The sun shone through it, warming her face, and with the scent of biscuits wafting out of the oven, she knew dinner would soon be at hand. The chicken was ready, and the corn. With the prepared food would come her husband, her son, and the young girl Henry had taken under his wing, Caitlin Snow.
Caitlin was a quiet one. With long brown locks and the same purple, cotton dress she wore day after day, only changing the ribbons in her hair on occasion, Nora had taken to mothering her. She’d never had a daughter, and there was much about Caitlin that appealed to her. From her determination to chase after her dreams to her polite refusal of anything that might inconvenience anyone, Nora welcomed having her in their home and at their table. A few times she had studied her son’s interactions with her to see if there was any spark. She certainly wouldn’t mind having Caitlin officially part of their family.
But Caitlin, it seemed, was in love with a slightly older boy, Ronnie Raymond, who had gone off to fight in the Crusades. And Nora’s boy, Barry, she had begun to suspect, still fancied Maid Iris.
It was a star-crossed romance she’d hoped her son could avoid. Not because she held anything against Iris or her family, but because it would be nearly impossible for them to find happiness together in a practical sense with Iris being elevated in her father’s and brother’s absence. In addition, she knew the feelings had not been one-sided before Joseph and Wallace had left for Crusades. That made the young romance even more devastating.
But Iris lived with Sheriff DeVoe now, who was snide and arrogant and in line with that terrible Prince John who was constantly raising the taxes. She hoped Marlise DeVoe, who while loyal to her husband, didn’t appreciate his tactics, had taken Iris under her wing and protected her. Heaven only knows what kind of atmosphere existed in that house if she hadn’t.
With Prince John’s almost constant raising of taxes – and demand in paying them being more frequent – Nora worried that soon Henry would allow appointments without pay. He tried to be firm and decisive on the outside, but on the inside his love for her and his son and the townspeople had turned him to mush. After all, once Barry had made it clear he would not be following in his footsteps, Henry had sought out a pupil and had no qualms whatsoever about taking on Caitlin Snow.
The sound of the heavy wooden door being opened interrupted her thoughts, and the sound of her husband’s warm voice made the sadness of her thoughts all but disappear.
“Something smells good,” Henry said, walking through the door. “You smell that, Caitlin?” The young girl nodded beside him. “It smells wonderful.”
Nora smiled to herself, set aside her tools and yarn and walked into the entryway adjoining the kitchen.
“You’re home,” she said, to which her husband crossed the distance between them and placed a kiss on her cheek. “It smells so good.” He pulled back. “Is it biscuits?”
She nodded. “Yes. And chicken and potatoes.”
Caitlin’s eyes lit up. “You have potatoes?”
“Yes. And I’m going to mash them. Would you like to help?”
Caitlin nearly bounced up on her toes. It never ceased to amazing Nora how this girl could go from being shy to eager and excited when new opportunities presented themselves. She wondered what that meant about her home life but decided not to think on it.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” she chuckled. “Come on.” She nodded her head towards the hot pot over the fire and grabbed some pot warmers so as not to burn herself. “Grab a bowl from the bottom shelf. We’ll put them in there first.”
Caitlin did as she was told and used the large spoon to transfer the vegetable. Nora looked over her shoulder at her husband as she did so.
“Have you seen Barry today?”
“Not this morning,” he said on a sigh. “But the Dibny’s informed me he spent all morning with their rambunctious children, so he must’ve done some good today.”
“Henry.” Her voice lowered, and he reined himself in.
“I’m sorry. I know it’s a good thing what he’s doing. It’s better than just lying around this place all day. I’m glad he’s getting work in and that he’ll help out with the harvest in the fall.”
“Oh!” Caitlin interjected, spying the individual in question walking passed the distant window. “I think I see him.”
Moments later, the door opened and Barry walked in, a basket of freshly pulled carrots in his arms.
“Carrots,” Caitlin said, awe-struck by yet another delicious food being added to the menu.
“What a brilliant idea, Barry. Thank you for thinking of it,” his mother said.
He forced a smile that matched his father’s until Henry felt the glare his wife was delivering to the back of his head.
“I thought it might…add something,” Barry added lamely, avoiding his father’s gaze.
“I talked to the Dibny’s earlier today,” Henry said, pushing bitter feelings behind him for the sake of the meal and the company. “It sounds like you were very helpful to them this morning.”
Barry looked at him, then glanced at his mother and Caitlin and knew he had to do something to release the tension.
“Well, someone had to be, what with Ralph running off with Sue just as his brothers and sisters were waking up.”
Henry softened, a proud smile gracing his features.
“I’m glad you stepped up, son.” He gripped his shoulder. “It’s good to know what’s important in life and not go running after a lass before you’ve found your place.”
He glanced over at Caitlin.
“Nothing against you, of course, Caitlin.”
She grinned sardonically.
“Of course not. I’m special.”
Barry shook his head at the comment, but it had the whole family laughing, and so the tension was broken.
Night descended over Collin Woods about an hour after dinner. Caitlin had returned home, promising to meet Henry at his clinic the next day as early as she could. He promised to bring food with him and Nora insisted she come home with Henry for dinner again. Caitlin was reluctant to make that promise, so she just smiled as a goodbye and waved her hand on the way out. Barry watched her from the front window and thought about the impact she made on their home. He was glad to have her in his life, and glad even more so that she’d provided an escape for him from his father’s profession. But he worried some about her home life. Whenever he saw her about in town, there was no light in her eyes. She looked sullen, almost like a young child. And he saw the tight grip her mother always had on her even though she was three years into adulthood at age fifteen. It just made him more aware of the destruction Prince John had brought upon their little town.
Barry lay in bed until he could hear his parents’ snores drifting down the hall. Deeming it safe to slip out, he pushed open his window and carefully climbed over the ledge to the other side. He closed it after he’d landed in the grass, keeping it open a crack so he wouldn’t have difficulty going in, and then slinked away from his home, taking off as fast as one of his arrows as soon as he’d reached the cluster of trees thickening like a swarm of flies on the way to Central Pond.
He got to the edge of the water, looked up and saw some hazy clouds crossing over the moon. He worried for a moment that she wouldn’t come. They had always said that if it was a cloudy night, maybe it was a sign they shouldn’t meet up that night, that there was somehow a better likelihood of them being caught, even if logically that didn’t make sense. They should be harder to see with no grand moonlight making figures known amongst the trees.
But he didn’t have to worry long. Because mere moments later, a tap came on his shoulder, and he nearly fell into the water because of it.
“Barry!” she quietly shrieked, pulling him back by the fabric of his shirt, and then dissolving into a fit of giggles when she did. Putting a hand over her mouth, she tried to compose herself. “I’m sorry.”
He was flushed, breathing heavily for a few moments, but then a silly grin stretched across his face.
“No apology needed,” he said, then took her hand and led her away from the water into the woods. “I was afraid you wouldn’t come.”
“So was I,” she said. “The clouds were so much thicker from my bedroom window.” She came to a stop and held both of her hands in his, swinging a little on the balls of her feet. “But I thought I’d make a try for it. It’s been so long since I’ve seen you.”
In truth it had been two days, and the only reason they hadn’t met up was because of storms, rain that poured hard and for hours. But it still felt like an eternity. Every moment apart felt like a lifetime.
“I know,” he said, intertwining their fingers together. “It’s been forever.”
He couldn’t wait any longer. He pulled on her hands with his own, instantly bringing her closer, and met her lips with a sudden kiss. She melted into it, and so did he. His arms moved to settle on her waist as hers wrapped around his neck. And for a while they stood there in the filtered moonlight, just ignoring the world around them.
“Oh, Barry,” she murmured, eventually pulling back enough to lay her head on his chest. He swayed them gently. “I wish it could be like this forever.”
He rested his cheek on the top of her head and shut his eyes, listening to the sway of her long dress in the night breeze.
“So do I.”
“I dream at night about us, you know.”
He smiled to himself. “You do?”
“Well, don’t you?” She lifted her head to look up at him.
“Of course, Iris. I dream about you even when I’m not sleeping. I almost shot Cisco with an arrow today because I was so distracted dreaming of you.”
Her eyes sparkled. “You wouldn’t have hit him.”
“I don’t know…I was pretty distracted.”
“You never miss,” she said. “Not even when you’re distracted.”
“I might’ve made an exception for Julian,” he joked lightly.
She smirked. “I might’ve let you.”
He didn’t know if her not liking Julian any more than he did made their situation even more tragic, but he decided he liked it. Better the knight not be his competition when it came to Iris’ heart. In any other way, he could deal, even if he didn’t want to, but if he was unsure about where her heart lie, he was sure he would die.
“Come on,” he said, stepping back enough to just hold her hand. “I want to show you something.”
Iris bit her bottom lip and ran with him through the woods until they came to a large tree. She stopped before he did and looked up at the spectacle before them.
“It’s amazing,” she said, awestruck.
“It’s old,” he responded. “And probably shouldn’t be climbed on.” He bent down to pick something off the grass just around the old oak. “But it’s unlike any other tree in the whole forest, and I think we should make it our own.”
He came back to her and handed her a rock, sharp and narrow at the end. She looked at it strangely and met his eyes with a quizzical expression.
“What are you thinking, Barry?”
He grinned and pulled her to the large, oak tree. Then she watched as he used his own rock to painstakingly carve his initials into the wood. He made a small cross beneath it and stepped back. He glanced at her when she didn’t move.
“Your turn,” he said.
Excitedly, though she tried to contain herself, Iris stepped forward and carved her own initials in. Then, without any prodding, she drew a large heart around their letters and stepped back, looking at their masterpiece proudly.
“I love you, Iris,” he said, softly, and she turned to find him staring at her, so much love in his eyes. She didn’t doubt his declaration for a second.
“I love you, too, Barry,” she returned, taking both his hands in hers as they’d been before.
“I don’t know how long we can be like this,” he admitted. “But I’m going to treasure every moment.” He brought their clasped hands to his heart and held them there. “You’re my home, Iris. And that’s one thing that will never change.”
Her heart aflutter, and all words fallen away from her memory, she smiled softly in response. Then she tilted her face up, closed her eyes, and waited for him to kiss her.

Top 5 'Supernatural' episodes that might surprise SPNFamily
Socially, we’re conditioned to ask the basics when we meet people. You know, the small talk questions: Where are you from? What do you do? How many siblings do you have? Eventually, we progress into the hard-hitting ‘getting to know yous’ of relationships, even if it’s reading someone’s words. Favorite song? Favorite book? Favorite movie? The thing is, people sometimes lie. Whether they mean to or not. No one’s favorite book is Anna Karenina; it’s just not. You can respect the book, but it’s not your favorite; you don’t revisit it regularly, it’s not a comforting blanket you burrito yourself inside. For example, my favorite song, book, and movie, respectively, are: “Just What I Needed” by The Cars, “Death Comes as the End” by Agatha Christie, and “A Few Good Men.” Have I heard better songs? Sure, as one of my best friend’s husband once said: “‘Just What I Needed’ isn’t even Ric Ocasek’s favorite song.” Have I read better books? Absolutely. Are there better movies? No. And I will fight you. My point is: sometimes I think that society, or in this case fandom culture, makes us feel as though we should choose things that we may like a lot but also simultaneously live up to some arbitrary social standard or norm, as our favorite. In Supernatural fandom I often see the same few episodes held up as universal fan favorites; episodes like “Yellow Fever,” “Changing Channels,” “The French Mistake,” “Swan Song,” and “Baby.” Maybe these episodes are your faves, but they aren’t mine; not even close. I’m not even talking about the episodes I think are the all-around best or the most quintessential (we’ll get into that in another article). I mean these don’t even make my top ten, they aren’t my go-to episodes, the ones I’ve watched the most, the ones I’ll watch out of sequence just because I want to relive the entire thing on a random Tuesday afternoon. In fact, one of those example episodes is in my bottom ten. So, which out of over 265 episodes, are my favorites? I’ll tell you not because I’m telling you that I think these are the best episodes and that you should agree (again, that arrogance will come in another article), but because I think this is a fun introduction. A way for you all to get to know me. Sin City - I’ll admit that “Sin City” isn’t the best episode ever penned, the quips are heavy-handed, and the plot is simplistic. Honestly, it’s kinda middle of the road, but that’s what makes it re-watchable without the emotional hangover of “Mystery Spot” or “Fresh Blood” (Besides, we’ll get into those episodes in a later article. What “Sin City” does have is a great supporting cast: we get to see Katie Cassidy finally start to her get bearings playing Ruby 1.0, we get a great scene at the beginning where Sam and Dean are such bratty, yet lovable surrogate children to Bobby, we meet and mourn Richie, the perv with a heart of gold, (I mean, he’s basically Dean (Jensen Ackles) without the suave or skill), and we cozy up in a basement with Casey the bartender demon who is insightful, witty, and deadly, but her quid pro quo with Dean gives us a good dose of classic cocky Dean Winchester who is also a scared little boy underneath it all. Bonus, we also get the rare unicorn that is goofy, chagrinned Sammy as he backs his way out of Trotter’s office. And anyway, if you don’t catch yourself saying “I make a mean hurricane” every time you look at the Red Lobster drink menu you are living your life wrong. Ask Jeeves - now, I’m going to stop you before you tell me that Fan Fiction is the best episode of season 10, because it’s really, REALLY not. It’s arguably in the bottom three of the season. “Ask Jeeves,” however, was a perfect play on the movie that inspired it (which is one of the best movies of all time, again, I will fight you) and was another episode overflowing with a great supporting cast with fantastic comedic timing. For an episode that was primarily a loose tie-in to the release of the Supernatural Clue game it could have gone so wrong, but instead, it went so very right. The soundtrack is stellar, the jokes and pop culture references are on point without being concussion-inducing anvils, and the mystery itself is background to the story without being disappointing. “Ask Jeeves” is a comedic romp with a nice little hit of Winchester family feelings; it’s a bread and butter Supernatural episode. Besides, Dash hunts pheasants. He. Hunts. Pheasants. Caged Heat - This is an ensemble style episode done right. We get one of the best interactions between Sam/Dean and a demon to ever grace the show (props to character actor Conrad Coates for delivering, “I know you're speaking, I see your lips moving, but I can't understand what you're saying 'cause I don't speak little bitch,” because that line is a mouthful) and from that we slide seamlessly into Meg getting the drop on the boys and Sam turning it on her in the blink of an eye because he now understands her calculating nature so well. Speaking of calculating, Sam using the the plot of Raiders of the Lost Ark to lure Castiel to him is a perfect segue into their mutually soulless tête-à-tête (full disclosure, season 6 Castiel is my favorite version of Castiel). We also get Meg taking on a pack of hellhounds, Dean threatening Samuel, Sam (Jared Padalecki) biting into his wrist to draw a Devil’s Trap with his own blood (that bloody grin is everything), Dean rescuing Meg from demon Christian. Then we get the brothers and Meg working in tandem against Crowley in perfect harmony, the fake-out Crowley death that we only later find out was all a set up between Crowley and Castiel (Misha Collins) who were working together all along. It’s an episode that works on your first watch, yet is even more brilliant in retrospect. Night Shifter - Okay, I’ll be up front, season 2 is not only my favorite season of Supernatural but one of my favorite seasons of television. Period. Even its weakest episode is still so damn good, but if I have to choose one to go on a list that is based on simple re-watchability, I have to hand it to this one. Meet conspiracy theorist Ronald Resnik; he’s that character that every procedural or genre show needs at least once a season; the one who is wholly unqualified, but still tries to be the hero. Not for the glory, but because lives are at stake and the right thing has to be done. We laugh at Ron and his mandroid ideas; Dean praises him, Sam shuts him down, both do it because he’s so close yet, oh, so far from the truth. And when Ronald gets shot (which while tragic, is gorgeously directed and edited) your heart breaks for both Dean and Ronald. You also get exactly that Sam wanted to keep him deep in the dark because the hunter life is nothing but pain and death. Speaking of impactful characters, we also meet Agent Henriksen in this episode, a character that is a perfect example of an outside POV of the Winchesters. His description of them being “dangerous, smart, and expertly trained” is so important because he doesn’t know what they really do, yet he understands who they are on a fundamental level, and while he wants to lock them up, he fully respects them as adversaries. This episode is cinematic; it literally feels like a complete movie. It’s beautifully shot, every actor brought their A-game (Dean’s little forehead punch when he hangs up with Henriksen is one of those tiny, silent details that makes a moment a moment). We get great dialogue (“I like him, he says okeydokey,” “its robot skin is so lifelike;’ Sam’s long-suffering “we’re not working for the mandroid!;’ Henriksen’s breakdown of the Winchester family that could have been clunky exposition but was instead just a smooth reminder of who they are with bonus (“yeah, I know about Sam, the Bonnie to your Clyde”). But if all that wasn’t enough, there’s also arguably the most iconic Supernatural moment and one of the top three musical cues of the show: Sam and Dean in stolen SWAT gear sneaking to the Impala while “Renegade” plays. I’ve seen this episode more times than I’m willing to admit, and I get chills at that moment every single time. Shadow - Yeah, I know, this is out of left field, but hear me out, because I think this episode is woefully underrated. First of all, we get a tiny peek into the Weechesters by way of Dean reminding Sam of his high school drama years. Not only did Dean remember Sam was in “Our Town,” he clearly went to the play to support his baby brother. We also get smart Sam AND Dean in this episode. Dean by way of visualizing the Daeva pattern in the victim’s blood and Sam using the flare against the Daeva shadow demons. Speaking of the brothers being brothers, there’s a lot to take in during this episode. Starting with them running into Meg and Dean being hurt by Sam telling her about their fight, but as soon as Sam reassures him that he’s with Dean by choice, not force, Dean slips right into teasing, wingman big bro mode. Add to that the subtle nod of trust we can infer by way of Sam taking Baby for his stakeout while Dean researches. This is an episode that on the surface is a basic hunt that ties into the now growing cohesive season throughline, but it’s actually all about family. There’s the brothers’ dynamic and the way their bond has solidified since “Scarecrow”, however, we also get to see Dean’s vulnerability when Sam naively thinks that this could be it, the end of it all, the catalyst back to “normal”, whereas Dean just wants his family together, hell or high water. There’s also the fact that no matter how you as a viewer personally feel about John Winchester, the demons know that he’s never far behind his boys; he’s always watching, always protecting them in his own way. And, of course, we get to see a full Winchester reunion complete with damp eyes, manly hugs and choked up voices. John Winchester saying, “hey boys”, the brothers saying “yes, sir” at the same time (this episode has two instances of Winsync Winspeak); John’s unspoken apologies; Dean’s face while Sam and John hug; Sam being the one who wants them all together, and Dean being the one to understand that they can’t stay with John. John mirroring Sam’s earlier words to Dean about letting go. All of this will always make me emotional. This episode also has one of my favorite horror tropes, one that Supernatural has unfortunately pulled away from in recent years: it’s creepier when you don’t see what’s after you, like the great Steven Spielberg once said about “Jaws,” what’s scariest is the “fear of the unknown.” The mechanical shark forced Spielberg’s hand, and a crazy tight budget forced Eric Kripke’s, but it worked; the shark is terrifying because you don’t see it until the end, it’s the anticipation. It’s the same with the Daeva being shadow demons and later in seasons 2 and 3 with the hellhounds. Unfortunately, in recent seasons we’ve now seen hellhounds, and, well, they were scarier when all we had were torsos shredded by invisible claws and our imaginations. And as much as this episode was packed to the brim with Winchester family fat to chew on, they aren’t the only family. We find out that Meg is doing what she does for family as well. The overarching theme of Supernatural takes form in this episode; human, demon, ghost, or ghoul, it’s always about family in some way. [caption id="attachment_52142" align="aligncenter" width="696"] Source: Home of the Nutty screencaps for all images[/caption] So, like I said when we started this, my intention isn’t to say these are the best episodes of Supernatural, merely that these are my top 5 comfortable sweatpants episodes. So, did any of your favorites make my list? Did I make you want to re-watch an episode you don’t think much about as much? Let me know.

What NBA followers ought to be grateful for this Thanksgiving: Celtics, Sixers, Lonzo Ball
The NBA really is the reward that retains on giving. From brain-breaking field scores, to unbelievable highlights, to the psychological puzzle of commerce concepts, to the sheer zaniness of what occurs off the courtroom by means of social media and petty beefs, the league has a brand new storyline for each fan, each single day. This season isn’t any exception.
With turkeys within the oven and households making ready to interrupt bread to welcome the vacation season, we thought it may be time to take a second from the continuous urgency of every subsequent thrilling NBA subject and provides thanks for what this season has introduced us, each significantly, and, effectively, with a heaping dose of sarcasm. This is what we’re grateful for this NBA season:
The Celtics defying the percentages
Man, if there’s one factor Boston followers didn’t want was extra gas to their underdog complicated. But, right here we’re, with the Celtics out in entrance of the entire league within the win proportion division regardless of the season-ending harm to Gordon Hayward and regardless of being down getting into the fourth quarter in almost half their video games. This win streak has been unbelievable, not just for how powerful it’s to maintain that momentum going with out Hayward, however for the way it’s occurred. The painfully younger Celtics are main the league in defensive score, shattering the concept that you could’t play constant and sensible protection with a group full of youngsters who have not reached the 25-year-old insurance coverage break but. Kyrie Irving has introduced his signature clutch-time heroics, nevertheless it’s been the performances of sage veteran Al Horford and explosive second-year star Jaylen Brown which have fueled Boston’s run. If it was as much as the offense, the Celtics would sink, however they’re profitable with grit, scrap, and all the opposite cliche attributes of a group that’s definitely outworking their opponent.
The Celtics are a blast to observe on each side of the ball. Their completely absurd size means they’re in a position to swap any type of motion the offense throws at them, with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum exhibiting defensive capability effectively past their years, and Marcus Sensible doing the standard bullying he brings, and Terry Rozier hounding guards below the radar. Offensively … they seem to be a mess, to be trustworthy, with a sub-15 ranked effectivity. However their eye check is far more interesting, with a lot off-ball motion, fast, artful passes, and the standard array of Irving circus photographs.
No group confronted extra adversity early within the season, and no group has thrived as a lot within the face of it. Throw in signature wins towards Houston and even the Warriors and you’ve got a begin that has made them the largest speaking level of the primary 5 weeks of the season, with a very good likelihood they will keep within the headlines by means of April.
Aggressive steadiness
There’s two methods to take a look at the win proportion distribution throughout groups going into the Thanksgiving off-day. If you wish to see the glass half empty, you possibly can consider the league is affected by the identical downside the NFL is: Parity that has created widespread mediocrity. There are only a few really nice groups (Golden State, Boston, Houston, Detroit, and San Antonio), and the remainder of the league caught in a messy center. However there’s one other approach to view it: Regardless of a number of groups bent on tanking, there are only a few really dreadful groups.
Sure, Chicago, Atlanta, Sacramento, and Phoenix are painful to observe, however even then Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, De’Aaron Fox and a all of the sudden environment friendly Devin Booker make their video games value flipping by means of on League Cross. In the meantime, even the groups which have struggled present promise: Denver continues to be determining its offense, but dropped 146 on the Pelicans. Those self same Pelicans have knocked off a number of huge groups and are hanging in above .500. The Wolves have sneak out sufficient wins to cowl up for a few of their points, however stay a puzzle making an attempt to kind itself out. Orlando was really actually enjoyable to observe earlier than all of its level guards have been harm directly, and outdoors of Boston, Houston, and Golden State, no group has appeared invulnerable. The result’s a league that’s low on dynamos proper now, however excessive on night-to-night competitors. Even groups like Brooklyn and the Lakers have been downright pesky, and are removed from being pushovers.
The standard of play is not down, the video games are environment friendly and sometimes fairly tight. For a daily season so routinely panned for its degree of play, the begin to this 12 months, because it was final season, has been excessive.
The Knicks … ?!
This isn’t my first rodeo with a very good Knicks begin, so my skeptical eyebrow raises are in full impact. Nonetheless, this Knicks group hasn’t melted down but, hasn’t face-planted, and is genuinely enjoyable to observe. New York is plastered all around the nationwide TV schedule, and having a roster that is value watching has been a refreshing shock. Kristaps Porzingis has burst into the MVP debate courtroom and demanded an viewers. With the Zinger dropping 28 factors each night time together with these spotlight swats, and with so few miserable, cap-spacing veterans losing away, New York has been downright plucky. From their “feud” with LeBron James, to their far more fashionable model of play below Jeff Hornacek, New York is lastly a group that is enjoyable to observe, with low expectations. You understand, the type of group a rebuilding squad must be.
The Lonzo debate
Lonzo Ball is the worst rookie ever! He is a triple-double machine! Give the child time (whereas additionally acknowledging that he has a particular passing reward that even applies when he is not on the ground). Let’s simply state details: He is the worst rookie shooter ever (besides that almost all rookies are unhealthy shooters once they first get into the league).
Many will get sick of all of the Lonzo discuss, however then, they will love speaking about how sick they’re of it. Lakers followers like to defend him; they have not had a punching bag that meant this a lot to them since Kobe Bryant. LaVar Ball critics like to (inappropriately) criticize his son in an try and create some sense of humility within the tireless promoter father. Analysts love to point out his extremely primary passes as some kind of revelation, critics like to level out how much the Lakers are padding his assist stats.
The NBA is nothing with out polarizing athletes, and whereas the environment round Ball is corrosive to giving the child room to develop in a means he deserves, it is endlessly entertaining watching the NBA fan world go to battle over a child who’s principally a reasonably typical rookie for an Eight-10 group.
The everlasting flame of LeBron’s profession
LeBron James, in his 15th season, at age 32 (turning 33 subsequent month):
Finest discipline objective proportion of his profession.
Finest Three-point proportion of his profession.
Finest free throw proportion of his profession.
Factors, rebounds and assists per recreation all above profession averages.
Second-most assists per recreation of profession.
Most blocks per recreation of his profession (second-most per 100 possessions).
I’ve damaged down the Cavaliers’ defensive points and James’ contribution to them — which have continued regardless of their latest win surge they continue to be 30th in defensive score — however these numbers, and James’ efficiency, are merely spellbinding. Early in his profession he was in contrast favorably to a freight prepare, Cavs coloration commentator Austin Carr regularly refers to him as “the L-train.” However now he is a prepare within the sense that he’s this fixed rumble — an iron and metal beast rolling by means of the countryside on the identical regular rhythm, even in what must be the start of the twilight of his profession.
All the pieces 76ers
youtube
Joel Embiid hasn’t had an ideal statistical season, corresponding to what we anticipate from him. He has shot over 50 % from the sector in simply six of 14 video games. His scoring is definitely down per 100 possessions (although rebounds, and assists are means up). He’s, nonetheless, rising as one of many largest names within the league. He is staring down gamers after huge performs and speaking trash consistently. I imply, take a look at this:
The person is an absolute artist at working the gang. He is a wrestling heel-face, within the vein of Stone Chilly Steve Austin, trolling opponents whereas bathing in adulation and appearing like he does not care about it. He is additionally an abject monster who can euro-step. He’s transcendent, and for nonetheless lengthy he is wholesome, two days or six years, followers are loving each second of it.
In the meantime … Ben Simmons has the eighth-best efficient discipline objective proportion amongst rookie guards, capturing eight occasions a recreation because the Three-point period started. This comparability appears loopy, however the eye check is backing it up:
Simmons is one thing new, a human twister with pinpoint accuracy, a shroud that simply devours possessions on protection launching quick breaks. His management has been shockingly robust for such a younger man on-court, and he and Embiid have unimaginable chemistry. The Sixers are good. They’re getting higher and they’re value watching as they rise to no matter they will change into.
And likewise …

NBA mock draft 2017: Finding the best possible fit for every team
The 2017 NBA Draft is just over three weeks away. This is our latest projection with a heavy emphasis on fit.
The eternal question in the NBA draft is fit vs. best player available. There are arguments to be made for either side, but in this week’s mock draft we’ll be focusing exclusively on fit.
How does that impact this mock draft? For one, it’s pushed traditional big men down the board, with Justin Patton falling all the way to No. 29 and Ivan Rabb slipping to the second round. It also places a premium on shooting, as Malik Monk rises up to No. 3 and UCLA’s T.J. Leaf sneaks into the end of the lottery.
It’s hard to believe with the NBA Finals still in full swing, but the draft is just over three weeks away. If you think the Warriors are making basketball a formality in the present, there’s nothing better to do than lose yourself in the hope of the future. This draft class is going to be a lot of fun. Let’s mock.
1. Boston Celtics - Markelle Fultz, G, Washington
The best fit for the Celtics was always going to be the best long-term prospect. That’s Fultz. Boston already has a team that finished as the No. 1 seed in the East and reached the conference finals. Now they’re thinking bigger, and the best way to get there is playing the long game. Fultz will be the first major piece of that plan.
My thoughts on Fultz are well documented: he can be a franchise cornerstone at point guard in the mold of a bigger Kyrie Irving. If you didn’t see him play at Washington, don’t worry about it. No one is going to care about what he did as a college player when the Celtics are competing for championships in a few years ... unless the Warriors are still together.
2. Los Angeles Lakers - Lonzo Ball, PG, UCLA
This will be the most debated pick of the draft. The Lakers are apparently giving serious consideration to both Josh Jackson and De’Aaron Fox, but Lonzo Ball remains the favorite. I think it’s the right pick: Ball may never average 20 points per game, but he’s a basketball genius who will help the Lakers win games.
Ball simply thinks the game two steps ahead of everyone else. He should make life so much easier for D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram by cranking up the pace and getting them the ball in positions to score. This could quickly become one of the best young trios in the league for the Lakers.
3. Philadelphia 76ers - Malik Monk, G, Kentucky
As I’ve written before, the Sixers hold the keys to the draft at No. 3. I do not think Malik Monk is the third best player in this draft — I’d give that honor to Josh Jackson — but there’s no denying how well Monk fits Philadelphia. He looks like the ideal running mate for Ben Simmons: a young guard who can hit shots all over the court and has the athleticism to run with him in transition. He’ll always be small for an off-guard, but who cares? He fills the Sixers’ biggest need both positionally and skill-wise.
In the end, I still would probably take Jackson, but in the “fit” mock draft, Monk is an easy pick.
4. Phoenix Suns - Josh Jackson, G/F, Kansas
The Suns should jump all over Jackson if he’s still on the board with the fourth pick. He’s the ultimate gamer who sets the edge on both ends of the floor with near-elite athleticism and unparalleled competitiveness. He’s also an unselfish player who can handle and the pass the ball like a guard. The Suns already have scorers in Devin Booker and T.J. Warren and one of the game’s most underappreciated point guards in Eric Bledsoe. Jackson fits this roster seamlessly.
5. Sacramento Kings - De’Aaron Fox, PG, Kentucky
The Kings were roundly panned for their return in the Boogie Cousins trade, but think of it this way: if Sacramento kept Cousins, it’s like they have lost their first round pick to the Chicago Bulls by finishing outside of the bottom-10. Instead, the Kings have a shooting guard they love in Buddy Hield and two top-10 selections. I’m going to argue that, ultimately, it’s pretty decent haul.
Now the Kings have to make these picks count in a way they’ve been unable to do since .... they drafted Cousins. Fox would be an easy choice. He has A+ speed, competes on both ends of the floor and should grow into at least an average shooter. The Kings need a new face of the franchise and Fox can be just that.
6. Orlando Magic - Jayson Tatum, F, Duke
More than anything, the Magic need some starpower that’s been missing since the Dwight Howard trade. Tatum is the best bet to provide it. He’s a crafty and versatile scorer who should be averaging more than 20 points per game in his prime. He’s the most advanced scorer in this class next to Fultz and would be a great building block from an Orlando team under new management.
7. Minnesota Timberwolves - Jonathan Isaac, F, Florida State
The Wolves have the ultimate building block in place with Karl-Anthony Towns. Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine both just averaged more than 20 points per game in what should have been their senior year of college. Minnesota might have the brightest long-term future in the league (..... next to the Warriors), but they need one more piece. Isaac is the ideal fit.
Isaac is a 6’10 forward with great quickness and developing shooting ability. He has the potential to grow into a defensive stud at the four between Towns and Wiggins and also stretch out the opposing defense with his jumper. He could be a super role player in the right system. Minnesota is exactly that.
8. New York Knicks - Frank Ntilikina, PG, France
I would take Dennis Smith Jr. over Ntilikina, but I’m not sure the Knicks would for one reason: Ntilikina looks like a better fit in the Triangle, which Phil Jackson has been adamant about bringing back. A Triangle point guard (word to Ron Harper) needs good size, shooting ability and a willingness to move the ball. Ntilikina checks those boxes. One concern: he’s still only 18 years old. Knicks fans will have to be patient with him.
9. Dallas Mavericks - Dennis Smith Jr., PG, NC State
Smith is a strong, explosive point guard who thrives taking the ball to the rack. The best part about this fit is he’ll be great with the spacing Dirk Nowitzki provides. The worst part about this fit is Dirk won’t be around forever.
10. Sacramento Kings - Lauri Markkanen, PF, Arizona
If the Kings take Fox at No. 5, it’s going to be paramount to get shooters in the front court. There is none better than Markkanen, a Finnish 7-footer with an ultra-quick release and soft touch who hit 69 threes at a 43.2 percent clip. If Fox is indeed Sacramento’s first pick, the Kings should be praying for Markkanen to fall to No. 10.
11. Charlotte Hornets - Justin Jackson, SF, North Carolina
This is both an on-court and off-court fit: Jackson should pull in local fans as a three-year star for UNC and he also fills Charlotte’s biggest need for a backcourt scorer next to Kemba Walker. Jackson’s improvement as a three-point shooter has to be for real for him to justify this slot in the draft.
12. Detroit Pistons - Zach Collins, C, Gonzaga
If this were a big board, I’d have Collins at either No. 10 or No. 11 alongside Ntilikina. The problem is it’s hard to find a fit for him in the late lottery. The Hornets already have Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky. The Nuggets have Nikola Jokic and the Heat have Hassan Whiteside. I think Detroit works because Collins could either play with or behind Andre Drummond at the start of his career. He’d give Detroit a more skilled option at center.
13. Denver Nuggets - OG Anunoby, F, Indiana
I’ve had Anunoby to Denver for most of the year. His defensive ability and versatility should complement Denver’s two long-term building blocks well: Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. If Denver were up higher in this draft, Jonathan Isaac would be an even better fit because of his superior mobility. If Denver attempts to trade up on draft night, Isaac would be a great target.
14. Miami Heat - T.J. Leaf, PF, UCLA
Miami at No. 14 was the most difficult pick of this mock draft for me. It feels like they could go in any direction. Leaf gets the call here because we know Erik Spoelstra demands shooting in the front court. Ideally, Whiteside should be able to cover up some of Leaf’s defensive shortcomings.
15. Portland Trail Blazers - Terrance Ferguson, SG/SF, Adelaide (NBL)
The Blazers are in a fascinating position in this draft: three first round picks with roster that has high priced veterans at almost every position. In a perfect world, Portland would be able to find a small forward and power forward who defend and stretch the floor. Ferguson could fill that need at the three. He’s a major athlete with lots of potential as a shooter.
16. Chicago Bulls - Donovan Mitchell, SG, Louisville
The Bulls front office has gone on record saying they don’t love the idea of playing Jimmy Butler point guard, but it’s probably the team’s most pragmatic solution. If Chicago were to commit to Butler running the point on offense, it would need to find someone who could defend point guards and add some supplemental playmaking. Mitchell can do just that while also doubling as one of the best pure athletes in this draft. If you want an upside comp for Mitchell, think Avery Bradley.
17. Milwaukee Bucks - D.J. Wilson, F, Michigan
Will the Bucks continue to go with high-risk, high-reward draft picks now that former GM John Hammond is in Orlando? If so, Wilson could make sense. In a way, he’d be insurance at power forward after Jabari Parker tore his ACL for the second time. He could also potentially play with any pairing of Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Thon Maker to give Milwaukee a bunch of switchable athletes with versatile offensive games.
18. Indiana Pacers - Luke Kennard, SG, Duke
Kennard shot up all the way to No. 11 in the most recent DraftExpress mock after the Hornets watched him at his pro day. His shooting ability is certainly going to be attractive to a lot of teams, but ultimately questions about his defense could keep him out of the lottery. If he’s still available at No. 18, the Pacers should jump all over him. Indiana’s future is clouded by the Paul George situation, but adding shooters is wise regardless of whether PG13 sticks around or not.
19. Atlanta Hawks - Jarrett Allen, C, Texas
Allen to Atlanta would be a great situation for both the player and the team. Allen would be able to spend a season or
two developing behind Dwight Howard while Atlanta gets a great value at No. 19 on a player who has the talent to go in the late lottery. Allen is long and mobile and has flashed offensive skill. One of the more interesting position battles of this draft is him vs. Justin Patton.
20. Portland Trail Blazers - Rodions Kurucs, SF, Barcelona
Kurucs is a good pick for a team with three first rounders because he could be a draft-and-stash guy as a rookie. He’s got good size, a promising shooting stroke and reportedly high basketball IQ. Portland should be thrilled to have the chance to draft him at No. 20.
21. Oklahoma City Thunder - Sterling Brown, SF, SMU
OK, so this would be a bit of a reach. Brown didn’t even get invited to the combine and is projected to go No. 47 on DraftExpress. However, that No. 47 is up 12 spots from where he was last week. Everyone needs 3-&-D wings and Brown looks like one. He hit at least 44 percent of his threes in his last three years at SMU and also has good size at 6’6 with a 6’9.5 wingspan. He’s the younger brother of former Lakers guard Shannon Brown.
22. Brooklyn Nets - Harry Giles, C, Duke
Giles to Brooklyn is an ideal fit. The Nets might as well swing for the fences with their two first round picks. Giles was once the top recruit in America and considered a potential No. 1 overall NBA draft pick before repeated knee injuries tanked his stock. Still just 19 years old, Giles just need to stay healthy for this pick to be worth the risk.
23. Toronto Raptors - Isaiah Hartenstein, PF/C, Germany
A big man who can hit the glass and play solid positional defense, Hartenstein would be a quality addition to Toronto’s front court whether they keep Serge Ibaka or not.
24. Utah Jazz - Semi Ojeleye, F, SMU
Is Ojeleye a 3-&-D wing or an undersized stretch four? Either way, he’d help a Utah team that got good production out of veterans Boris Diaw and (especially) Joe Johnson this season. Those guys won’t be around forever. Ojeleye provides similar three-level scoring ability that should make him a good fit in Utah.
25. Orlando Magic - Juwan Evans, PG, Oklahoma State
If the Magic get a big scorer like Tatum with their first pick, a floor general like Evans makes sense at No. 25. Evans is short, but he’s tough and really skilled. He helmed the most efficient offense in college basketball last season at Oklahoma State and drew CP3 comparisons in the process. That might have been going a little overboard, but there’s still lots to like about his game.
26. Portland Trail Blazers - Tyler Lydon, PF, Syracuse
If the Blazers keep all three first rounders, it would make sense to target a stretch four with one of them. Lydon can be that guy. He broke out as a freshman during Syracuse’s unlikely run to the Final Four, but slipped under the radar this year in large part because ‘Cuse missed the tournament completely. He’s a tougher rebounder than his reputation would suggestion, but shooting is the foundation of his game.
27. Brooklyn Nets - Derrick White, G, Colorado
White is a nice pick at this point in the first round because he doesn’t really take anything off the table. He can play either on or off the ball because he does a little bit of everything: shoot, pass and dribble with enough athleticism to compete at this level.
28. Los Angeles Lakers - John Collins, PF, Wake Forest
John Collins vs. Ivan Rabb is another super interesting draft battle. Collins is the superior scorer and rebounder but it feels like Rabb has a more all around game. Either would be a great choice for the Lakers at No. 28, but we’ll go with Collins because he’s better at what he does well.
29. San Antonio Spurs - Justin Patton, C, Creighton
Patton could easily go 15 spots higher than this, which means of course he’ll slip to the Spurs.
30. Utah Jazz - Frank Jackson, G, Duke
Frank Jackson’s dad was a Utah state senator. Frank went to state powerhouse Lone Peak High School. You gotta take the local boy, Jazz.

SPN Season 15 Spoiler Sheet, update 10/6
I’m traveling tomorrow, so I’ll post tonight. We have a few more tidbits from ep 7- Christian Kane being in the episode has given us more of a glimpse into shooting. Adam Rose also vague tweeted about shooting on a show with two badass leads. I doubt that really means Supernatural, but if we had Aaron Bass and this “old friend” in one episode my biDean head would explode. Also pics from two, an episode description for three, and Speight back in the director’s chair for 8. I can’t believe that the premier is this week. As a disclaimer, keep in mind that I just report what I see on internet land. Last year, there were some spoilers that were just plain wrong, so expect that again with hopefully some fun surprises! Happy premier week!!
General Info (oldest to newest)
There is likely to be 20 episodes
They are filming the 4th episode 1st, which Jensen is directing
Returning this year are: Rowena, Ketch, Eileen,Amara, Adam, and Kevin
He is an old friend of Jensen’s.
General season 15 promo- more of a retrospective: https://youtu.be/_hlkNQL5Ecg
Dabb intimated that Chuck was inherently responsible for killing Mary when asked how the boys would respond to Jack.
Adam Rose, who played Aaron Bass from the golem episode vauge-tweeted about working a show with two badass leads. Could be Supernatural, but I think the timing is off- he indicated he was filming late Friday night?
Episode 15x01

Episode 15x02
Title: Raising Hell

Other Spoilers/info (newest to oldest):
A set was a high school set up to be a shelter.
Chuck, Ketch and Rowena will be in this. Maybe Amara too. Emily Swallow was in town for only a short time, so I imagine it would just be a scene or two
Ghosts/zombies were seen on set. There will be a scene with Rowena attacking them that includes at least Dean and Cas.
There will be one longer scene in a park.
Alex was in sunglasses again - not sure if this is a costume thing or an Alex thing

Castiel? Probably not  Jack? Probably not
Guest stars:  Rob Benedict
Other Spoilers/info (newest to oldest):
Jensen directed
Misha will not be in this ep
SD Comic Con was during filming
Episode 15x05

This will most likely be Yockey’s last episode.

Scenes were filmed in the bunker and in a wooded area. A woman could be heard screaming in the outside scene.

Guest stars: maybe Christian Kane? Maybe?
Other Spoilers/info (newest to oldest):
Misha posted from set in new shoes- very shiny with well tailored pants. (The next day he posted in full Cas costume,so just new shoes?? Another outfit with new shoes?)
Misha and Jensen made a video from set. I feel like if Jared was around he would have been in it since it was about money raised? This was on a Friday, and J2 usually don’t work Fridays. Maybe a Dean Cas scene?
There will be a battle scene in this that Jensen mentioned he was looking forward to and we would enjoy.
After NJ Con, it appeared that Jensen returned to work, Jared and Misha stayed an extra day and then Misha went home. Misha did not return to set that week.
Jensen and Christian filmed at a bar called Swazey’s. This was the fight scene Jensen was referring to.
At some point, Sam might be shirtless or we can see part of his chest- Jared had his anti-possession tattoo at the weekend convention

SPN Season 15 Spoiler Sheet, update 10/9
There was a LOT of stuff out there from the past couple of days, so I’ll update again. Man, I am really pumped about tomorrow!
General Info (oldest to newest)

Per Variety: At the outset of the season, the “Supernatural” foursome of Dean, Sam, Castiel and Jack are split up, but Dabb notes they won’t be for long because “ultimately this is a found family, and they have deep emotional bonds” that make up the most important part of the show.

Alex was in sunglasses again - not sure if this is a costume thing or an Alex thing
I still think it's a heat issue.
Night shoots are scheduled in a warehouse. Hand painted signs indicating quarantine were nearby
Kevin is back

Jensen directed
Misha will not be in this ep
SD Comic Con was during filming
Jensen mentioned  a guest star “fan favorite”  that hasn’t been seen since season 7 that is no longer in the business. Guesses include Becky, who hasn’t acted in a while but isn't exactly a fan favorite, Meg, who hasn't acted but she was in season 8, and Balthazar or Frank or Jo or Rufus, but all act frequently. Jensen doesn't always have the most accurate season memory, so he could be off on the season.
Dean will be in the bunker in tactical equipment with a BEARD- fighting someone who looks like trenchless Cas.

Supernatural Season 15 Spoilers Sheet, update 10/20
I’m going to have a busy Monday, so I’ll post this today. Some fun interviews this week gave us some nice info.
I want be be 100% clear so I don’t get ‘subtumbled’ again.... this is for fun. I picked this up after Jess stopped because I like having all the info in one place. SOME OF THIS INFO WILL BE WRONG. This is not reliable information. Do not expect all this to come to pass. I am not a journalist or clairvoyant, I just like gathering stuff. If you take it too seriously, please don’t read. If you see something you think is wrong, go ahead and message me and I’ll correct. I’ll add a disclaimer to the top of the sheet so this disclaimer is always there and clear.
DISCLAIMER: This is gathered info from various and sometimes unreliable sources. This is not confirmed information. Stuff in this WILL be wrong. Don’t take this too seriously. This is for fun.
Recent interviews by Dabb seem to indicate that these are glimpses into other universes, a la Apocalypse World, and other endings from Sam and Dean.
According to the MarySue and other interviews, Sam’s bullet hole will give him a connection and insight to god- like a tin can telephone string.
In the cage, Micheal and Adam have formed a working relationship (MarySue)
Dean and Amara’s connection will be explored
There will be a bunker themed episode (MarySue)
According to Misha (Cinablend) Dean and Cas will have discord up to ep 8- which is the mid-season finale.
Episode 15x03

Christan Kane (Leverage/Angel) will star as “Leo” an “old friend” of Deans. Unclear which ep (my guess is 7 because he used the present tense in a tweet). He is an old friend of Jensen’s.
Episode 15x01
Title: Back and to the Future
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: Picking up where we left off last season, Sam, Dean and Castiel are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again.
Written by: Dabb
Director: Showwalter
Filming Dates:  7/30-8/9 (no filming 8/5 for Canadian holiday)
Airdate: Oct 10

Castiel? Yes Jack ? yes

Title: Raising Hell
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: SENDING OUT AN SOS – Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) call on Rowena (Guest Star Ruth Connell) to help keep the evil souls at bay and get an unexpected assist from Ketch (Guest Star David Haydn-Jones). Robert Singer directed the episode written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (#1503). Original airdate 10/17/2019.

Sneak Peak:
Castiel? YES Jack ? YES
Guest stars: Ruth Connell, David Haydn-Jones, Rob Benedict, Emily Swallow (?)

Misha mentioned a scene at VanCon with him, Sam, Dean, Rowena, and Jack
Sam Smith was on set, but I would imagine she was visiting as she was in town for VanCon

Sneak Peak:
Castiel? Probably not  Jack? Probably not
Guest stars:  Rob Benedict
Other Spoilers/info (newest to oldest):
Jensen directed
Misha will not be in this ep
SD Comic Con was during filming

Other Spoilers/info (newest to oldest):
This will most likely be Yockey’s last episode.
Matt Cohen was around, but I imagine he is following directors to prep for his own debut directing.
Scenes were filmed in the bunker and in a wooded area. A woman could be heard screaming in the outside scene.

Title: Last Call

Sneak Peak:
Castiel ? Jack ?
