remembered this randomly but. I think one of my favorite wattson lines is this one:

because it's so. so much. octane's line is "we kick ass!" and wattsons just like. I want that. but I don't want to swear so time to substitite out ass! but also I HAVE to make sure people know who I got it from and don't think that I just decided to say it on my own!!

where are all of these cool rp calls coming from?

hey! i'm eel. i'm 20nb and use they/he pronouns, so 18+ only. i'm super into fandomless OCs and apex legends.

i prefer lit(?) rps. my responses usually are 3-5 paragraphs (examples given upon request), but i'm more than happy to match length. my response time ranges from 20 minutes to 2 days, all dependant on irl availability. i prefer to rp discord ( eelheadbay#1897 ) as i don't use tumblr all that often, and i enjoy being able to separate rp from ooc discussion.

apex legends is what i'm primarily looking for. i'm open to most genres of rp, and i'm okay with cc / cc or cc / oc. i only write wattson, and i'm open to most ships (fxf and fxm) with the exception of darksparks (sorry wraith mains). i'm a super big fan of smartysparks (crypto has my heart) and wattane, but those are just a guilty pleasure.

i am very open to AUs, and i have an AU for most of wattson's different legendary skins. i have plenty of prompts and starters to choose from for most genres, so let me know if you want the list.

fandomless OCs have me in a chokehold. i'm a whore for high/modern fantasy rps, and i have several ocs who i would love to use. i'm interested in other genres, but my go-to has always been slice of life and romance. i'm open to any orientation for shipping (fxf, fxm, mxf, mxm) as i have a multitude of characters with a wide variety of genders and sexualities. i don't have as many thought out prompts or starters because i prefer brainstorming with my rp partners. if you have anything specific you're looking for, i'm happy to explore those ideas with you.

The Aiya Elves sound like such an interesting people, as well as the Crystalline Isles they lived in. I’d like to know more about their culture, as well as their Islands main features and creatures. (also screw Matuzu for attempting genocide on them and devastating their island!)

In the ancient times of the First Age, the Aiya were made up of a few dozen tribes spread across the crystalline islands. They had a lot of peaceful interaction with the Eepopkee cecaelia and the Feligalla sirenes in early times, but after the Fourth Age, Matuzan forces came to mine resources from the islands and destroyed much of the Aiya's native lands and cultures.

Matuzu eventually left the islands, but not before killing, enslaving, and displacing countless Aiya people. Matuzu didn't bother addressing this tragedy until hundreds of years later when activists campaigned for reparations. Now the kingdom is working with the surviving Aiya to restore their land and culture, but it is a slow and messy process.

Some Aiya tribes were known to practice things like necromancy and cannibalism, which are taboo in Matuzu Kingdom. Because of this, the Aiya people still face discrimination from mainlanders to this day, even though their ancestors stopped practicing these things long ago.

Today, the Aiya have many small communities in Matuzu Kingdom's mainland, especially along the coast. They are negatively stereotyped as poor, uneducated, often homeless "beach bums" who use magic to disguise seashells as gold coins. While it's true that the Aiya suffer from generational poverty, not every Aiya fits this stereotype. Today they live a diverse range of lifestyles and may be rich, poor, or anywhere in-between.

Like their name suggests, the Crystalline Islands were home to many types of crystals. Crystals are a valuable commodity to magic users because crystal is used in the production of magic staffs, enchanting tools, potions, and arcane batteries among other things. The crystals on these islands were unique because they were unusually large and grew out of the ground like flowers. Many of them had bioluminescent properties as well, which made them popular decorations for sale back on the homeland.

The Aiya believed these giant, glowing crystals were sacred pieces of their gods. Imagine their horror when the Matuzans barged in and started mining them! By the time the Matuzans left the islands, they were all stripped of their crystals as well as many other resources. To this day, some islands are still operating as Matuzan tourism hotspots and some are covered by private mansions. Only 10% of the islands have been returned to the Aiya elves so far, and that's after many centuries of aggressive campaigning by activists.

All Aiya are now united under one tribe called the Wattan. The Wattan own a small portion of the crystalline islands, where they have built a settlement called Wattana. Wattana was granted independence from Matuzu Kingdom long ago, but the Matuzan government still offers some financial reparations and military aid to make up for its cruel actions in the past. Any elves with Aiya ancestry may join the Wattan tribe and live under its jurisdiction, but they must relinquish all other citizenship to do so. This means if they were formerly Matuzan, they must give up their Matuzan citizenship and all the benefits that come with it to become Wattanese. Sirenes with Feligalla ancestry and cecaelia with Eepopkee ancestry are also eligible to join the tribe as "honorary members".

Some people balk at this practice, claiming it isn't fair to exclude people from the tribe based on immutable qualities like racial ancestry, and it only encourages things like prejudice and inbreeding. This remains a hotly-debated topic among Matuzans and the Wattanese themselves.

Wattana is made up of very passionate activists and native Aiya who hold their traditional ways close to their hearts. They reject everything foreign and try to live just as their ancient pre-colonial ancestors lived. However, they lack the abundant resources and education their ancestors had due to the Matuzan takeover, so unfortunately this settlement is rife with poverty, crime, and social issues. Much of their history was lost to the Matuzan colonists, who deliberately destroyed their artifacts and forced them to forget their rich oral history. It was the long-lived native cecaelia and the diligent Feligalla who helped the Aiya recover this lost history many centuries later. This is why the Wattanese council allows these specific non-elven peoples to become honorary members of the tribe.

Random trivia: one of the ancient Aiya tribes actually had a cecaelia for a chief. This piece of history remains a popular Aiyan legend.
