also tho, maybe an au where aisling joins the industry and becomes renowned for her ability to keep the targets calm and amicable throughout the experience. then they could feasibly team up together during a job!

finally, we could work smth out with like, a childhood-to-adulthood connection? where like, maybe aisling and eames were neighbours as kids, and aisling's dad insisted on inviting eames and his sisters over for supper every night, and then in the present day aisling continues to insist that eames takes food over to his team, bc there's smth powerful about a parallel that transcends two decades of time, yk?

Brief History:

Not much is known about his earlier life. However, he lived in Sharlayan for a significant amount of time as a low profile arcanist.

Went to Ishgard since he had some contacts there, making it easier to hide from [redacted]. However, due to starting over completely and relying on those contacts, he owes a major amount of debt that he pays off with his special ability, [redacted].

At some point during this, he becomes an Astrologian.

After the Dragonsong War, he travelled around more often, figuring it's safe to do so after the time he spent in Ishgard. He still revisits Ishgard to deal with his remaining few debts every so often.

Heyoo, same VickyChesGlam anon here. About the Anna and Glam thing, aaah man, it's complex. I personally do not care for Anna at all, not to say i hate her, but I don't rly have a reason to like her at all, or to want to like her. Plus, I very violently dislike Ches/Anna, simply cuz i am incapable of understanding HOW they even slept with each other. I adore Ches to hell and back but Ches is the embodiment of what Anna would hate in a man, flirty, playboy, overly confident, cocky... I like Anna when she's not being paired up with Ches, i like her potential with Vicky and her relationships with literally anyone else but Ches, cuz i cannot feel chemistry or history from them (plus, the cliche of "the main couple both have best friends and the best friends get together too!" Is... Hm, well. I GUESS. Idk if you see what I mean).

I think Glam and Anna's relationship is much more fun as animosity and sass filled interactions, simply cuz i think Glam SASSING or being passive aggressive to someone would be so entertaining and funny to see. Anna was been shown to hate Glam's GUTS in Vicky's Qna and Glam is always unfeeling or apathetic in every sketch or questions that even hints at Anna he had in his QnA, so i personally think Anna and Glam being sassy and disliking each other, having funny banter, trying to one up the other would be so.... Cool to see. Like Glam emoting and rolling his eyes at her, smiling while saying smth very passive aggressive, letting annoyed sighs when she's around... Idk, Glam disliking her and outwardly showing it!! And Anna giving it RIGHT back!! Idk, i may just be hungry for playful animosity interactions in MF, so it may just be me that wants this to be their dynamic.

Ok let me explain: We don't know everything about the characters right now! Except maybe Glam! So I have a couple similar-but-different versions of them in my head? They're slippery like a water slide! Like rolling a bowling ball in the adjacent lane! Because there's a bunch of headcanons you can make, right? We only have what we have of the show right now, and various sketches that might not even be canon by the time that plot point in the show is reached!

So like! I also don't really care about Anna? She shows up, like, twice? But! There's so many places she could go! And we already know Alina and Dima loveeee parallels so I'm stringing together characters with red thread like I'm talking about aliens!

Ches/Anna is like... they aren't DATING? They just hooked up. So they're not really TOGETHER? They're probably not together BECAUSE of what you said: Ches is everything Anna hates! So I get that!

THAT'S WHY I LOVE YOUNG GLAM SO MUCH THOUGH!!! It isn't healthy for HIM but that's ok he's ok now. <3 But he's so sassy and snippy and it's still THERE: just only when someone messes with his kids or Victoria usually! And of course it started out as a trauma response so it's still there but we're not going to talk about that in this post or else it would go on for 5 years. But yeah you're right it would be SO funny, I think realistically he would only be mean to her out of earshot/eyeshot of everyone else. Because then they'd be like "what the FUCK Glam???" otherwise. Quick enough for her not being able to react until way later, even. But that's still fun!!!

Vicky was shown not to be buddy-buddy with Anna as Ches is with Glam though? As in "oh, it's just you... fuck you, whatever, ugh..." so maaaaybe we'll get more of this through them? I think Vicky is supposed to be explored more in this season compared to Glam and the last one, so!!! I'm excited for that!!!

I wanted to say that I watched it for the plot purposes, I just wanted some order. And I have the ability to pretend those scenes don't exist and still enjoy parts so I was fine. But I get what you mean 200%. I'm just more forgiving in general and also I've only read 2 random chapters in the middle of b/8. Also where did the thread go? I lost it again.

Well, see, we all have different takes on that. To me it's like... idk..

For example, The Untamed did change many things from the book plotwise, but it didn't at all prevent me, a huge fan of the novel, from enjoying it and loving it so much.

But imagine if they for example (in some magical world without chinese censorship), made plotwise a copy of the book BUT with added scenes like Wei Wuxian passing by a scene of some huge dude beating up a baby and walking past them with a "sup bro nice job" or LZ being the main alcoholic in CR. Would you still consider them WWX and LZ and keep watching normally just cause the plot is intact?

Like even when it comes to fics there's an AU and there's an OOC. You can make LZ a baker or a football player with me technically still being ok with that, but you can't make LZ a famous chatterbox who likes to gossip about ppl, cause that is already not a LZ.

That's what I mean by the fact that going (even slightly) away from the plot is less damaging than going OOC. Its characters who hold the most power to me really.

Thats why I'm saying that this was hella hard to watch for me. Not in terms of actors, plot or smth, but in terms of to me I wasn't watching smth about pingxie, thats all. I don't really care what settings or what costumes are they in, or whether the production great or not. It's just not them. I did finish it yes, but is it my boos? No. Thus do I care? Also no.

As I've said already even when it comes to fanservice I do not care. If its not them, then fanservice don't matter. I mean, its like random characters I don't know having scenes together to me.

If they did the "fanservice" like in anime for example when it fit the characters and their relationships at that point then hell yes I'm all in. But there.. He's just in general not like that. But writing him falling in love at first sight or trusting someone so easily is to me like someone writing a season of Free! with Haru finding water disgusting. I mean, yeah its that far off.

Also lol were these the snow mountain chapters? xDDD

I actually started these books bc of the "funnel" chapter I think lol I mean I got there out of curiousity and just stayed. I literally continued reading and the came back to the start lol

P.S. When it comes to the plot, idk if it adds to the coherency really, its pretty messed up in the series, so since I know the book plot maybe its cause idc for it that I watch like that, but honestly tho to me its bad.

so you’ve been roleplaying for years... things change, the way the community does things shift, and sometimes there’s new skills you need to pick up and adjust to in order to make your time rping as creatively rich and fulfilling as it can be. one of those things that’s become extremely important is plotting & hcing. either in groups, in indie, or doing 1x1s, these two are the foundation to your interaction (unless you’re the type to wing it). sometimes when i interact with people, it seems they don’t really click with this process, so in the guide below, i’ll help to explain why these are so important, and how to do it in a way that not only gives you a rich plot, but helps inspire and keep your writing partner engaged with you.

disclaimer --- this is just my personal experience and opinions being shared. i am not the end-all-be-all on how to interact with writing partners. this is just here to get people to begin thinking about things they otherwise wouldn’t have thought about.

questions regarding this help post can be found here. let’s jump in!

WHY IS PLOTTING & HCING SO IMPORTANT?

firstly, rp has changed a lot since the days of launching into an rp or writing a random starter for a new follower. things are a lot more established and regardless of if you’re in a bio/skeleton rp with pre-written connections, or you’re in a new plotless group or indie and you’re coming up with them on your own, it’s a major foundation to your writing experience, so don’t treat it lightly!

secondly, regardless of format, and with the shifts in rp culture, behind the scenes plotting & hcing is crucial to the development of your plot & characters. as writers, we take more time with our replies so development on dash happens a lot slower. personally i don’t mind that, but i don’t want that to hinder my writing experience so i like taking things behind the scenes to help build up dynamics and situations so the whole relationship isn’t based off one or two threads/instances.

lastly, it helps to keep things inspiring. sound dumb? you bet, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles baby. so many times i have plotted ships, sibling relationships, best friends, or other core relationships, and wanted to sink my teeth in relationship lore and background and dynamics, only to be returned with “hahah yes! i love that!” now i understand this is never ill-intentioned, but it does suck the muse right out the situation. if you do not validate & expand on your partner’s ideas, it’s not going to make that writer’s ideas feel appreciated or loved. the way to tell them you love their ideas? sink your teeth right back and send an equally meaty response right back!

PART ONE: SO YOU WANT TO PLOT

you don’t need this post to tell you how to come up with plot ideas, that’s a whole different guide, but let’s say you’re in the brainstorming process. you’re throwing ideas back and forth based on your muse’s two backgrounds and seeing what sticks. what is SUCH a downer, is when a writing partner is just ... not contributing. yes, we are all guilty of the line “i’m open to anything!” but try and limit yourself to using that line once in a conversation. hell, i prefer it when a person doesn’t even say it at all and they’re HONEST. if i come in guns-a-blazing and i ask ‘what plots do you need filled?’ if a person responds with ‘i need someone who hurt my muse’ there’s two option, i fill that plot, or i don’t. it’s that simple. don’t be afraid to say what you want, the worst that can happen is the person says ‘eh, i don’t really think that fits my character’ and you come up with something else! but when you’re already passionate about the idea, you’re setting yourself up for such great success!

so what do you do when your one (1) braincell isn’t working and you can’t come up with any connection ideas? two options, you can either go to one of the dozens of guides for basic connection ideas and give your partner something, or you can look at the other person’s bio, and your muse, and try and find connections between them. both of these are painfully easy! i’m a personal fan of the latter as it seems a bit more grounded and juicy than the former, but those can be twisted into something great too! **if you’re in a group setting, even asking what that person’s other connections are, and piggybacking off of that. these create super spicy connections. example: you find out muse a is muse b’s ex, and your muse, muse c, is best friends w muse b, so it’s safe to assume your muse c will probably not get along with muse a.

this important thing is not to make your partner feel like they’re doing all the work. because that’s never fun, and truthfully, it doesn’t make that person want to write with you if you’re not also putting in the elbow grease. plotting is fun, not a chore! make it a party!

PART TWO: NOW YOU HAVE TO BACK IT UP

you’ve got your plot now, congrats! and you’re so excited. but now you need that plot to be fleshed out a bit. there’s some history there so you’ve got to establish it. in comes the powerhouse--- my favorite part to this whole thing: HCING. it’s the most laid back, and in my opinion, creative part of the rping process. truthfully, i enjoy it more than threads because of the absolute insanity you can dig up. but i only love it if my partner can hand it back just as i can serve it.

maybe you’ve never quite thought that this part was that important, but i can assure you, if a person is giving you 3+ sentences about the dynamic of your characters, they’re trying to hc with you, and if you don’t enrich them, your dynamic is going to wither away.

i brought up an idea in the first part of this guide that’s extremely important to how you hc with your writing partner: VALIDATE & EXPAND. it’s the idea that no matter how much or how little your rp partner gives you in terms of an hc, you respond to it with a validation, which can range anywhere from ‘i LOVE that’ to as simple as a key smash and the pleading emotion, or even repeating a fraction of what they said to show you understand their vision. but then you have to back that up with expanding on that idea. hcs could be about a situation or about your writing partner’s character, so expand on how your character feels and reacts to things. it’s beyond discouraging when i write a whole idea out, explaining how my character feels in this emotionally intense setting, and my writing partner only gives me the validation portion, and now i have no idea how my opp’s character thinks, feels, or interacts.

see, a point i mentioned above is the fact that threads don’t work like they used to. and that’s fine! but hcing is an easy and fun way to make up for the fact that we take time with our threads now. if you’re rping to find rich, in-depth, satisfying dynamics, it’s going to take many many months to get your understanding of your opp’s muse, and the relationship they have, hcing fast tracks that process. i’m writing with you, i love your muse, give me the dirty details, i promise it’s not obnoxious. the more your give back, the more you will receive. so why wait around, sitting on our thumbs for me to fully get a grasp of your character’s voice, and your character’s thoughts, when we could do that on chat and have a grand time.

but now you’re thinking to yourself: okay, but how exactly do i validate and expand? and for that, we go to EXAMPLE-BOT 3000 !! not a real bot, unfortunately, but example bot has dug up a personal interaction i’ve had hcing. for context, this is a 1x1 writing partner i’ve had for years. we have an excellent dynamic and they are perfect. they have also given me permission to use our convos as example.

here is my message [ CONTEXT: this is a sandbox-star-wars-esque verse]

Okay but I had a thot in the shower,,, where the best thoughts are had. And what if,,, after this meeting and they part ways and such and it was just another weird occurrence in their lives, blastis gets a mission and it’s either to protecc salia or like guide salia across the galaxy to do something smth and save some lives or whatever. And ofc not because she couldn’t take care of herself but he has smth she doesn’t that gives an edge or just a close loved one of her’s didn’t want to see her get hurt. So you have these two traveling across the galaxy,,, sometimes arguing bc she can manage herself but he’s just fulfilling the mission. And them both kicking but. And all the steamy tension and cliches.

let’s break this message down before we get into the response. first, hcs don’t have to be formal. they are the most fun when they’re less together and don’t rely so much on “sounding good”. you’re just rolling off the top of your brain, chatting like you would with a friend, don’t worry too much on formalities because this isn’t the place for that.

i am also presenting my idea in a way that is confident, and with plenty of ideas to work on. i am involving my partner’s character but not godmodding. i am taking things i have learned from character introductions (like salia being independent and empowered, and wanting to do good/help others) and not disrespecting them, but having her take part in the plot. there are also small bits at the end of this idea that are little nuggets to build off of.

let’s look at my partner’s response.

AAAAH okay i love the idea!!! however shes a v. freelance kinda healer and doesnt really take official things. and she doesnt have loved ones that would know if there was danger - she can telepathically communicate with her own people but if she doesnt want them to know things they cant just. force their way in its a Closed Communication line not an open invitation into her thoughts asdfghjsh. But i could imagine that some guy or family hire her to find their children maybe who were lost on their adventure/mission with friends and the last message sounded like one was hurt,,, badly. and the other cant help for some reason. and they hire blastis to both protect her and later the people shes supposed to heal??

but anYWAY the Important part is ofc. the tension. and his big ass in her ship bc why would she?? take another if hers is right there. so hes gonna take that single bed and not complain. but ooof those two?? just kicking ass and being amazing. growing on each other more and more.

right off the bat is validation. and validation doesn’t have to be as direct as it is in this message. the validation is important here specifically, my partner showed they were interested and supportive of the idea i presented, but needed the plot to fit in their character’s story better. we see them making adjustments--- this is a collaborative experience so i alone shouldn’t be the one coming up with the plot, nor would i want my idea taken just as is. instead they mold it to fit what makes sense, getting more specific than my idea with a “mission purpose”. this is where the bouncing off of each other begins.

they then take the “bait” and start building on the tension our muses will experience (this is a ship afterall). while this is the beginning of our conversation, and there’s aren’t specific moments we’re working off of, this is setting the ground for future headcanons (see: the focus on sexual tension, living in a ship together, kicking butt), we are both mutually giving each other little tethers to take hold of. this is a very good start to begin working out the dynamic and situations these two characters are found in, with multiple different launch-off points.

CONCLUSION

there’s no right or wrong way to rp. even the tips listed here might not be applicable to your style, just having the idea in the back of your mind helps. the important thing is you and the person you’re writing with are having fun. you both are respecting each other’s time and ideas and creating a beautiful dynamic or world or relationship. this is a collaborative experience, and it’s important not to leave your partner feeling like they’re doing all the heavy lifting creatively.

// I’m not sure what kickstarted this discussion, so apologies if I’m missing context, but I figured I’d jump in! (Actually. This is long. Under a cut it goes!)

I’m going to quote part of concubuck’s post that I feel applies to me, because I like the way they articulated it, and there’s no point in me reinventing the wheel:

I do not write "multiship" as in "every relationship is in a separate pocket universe."

For me, maintaining separate verses on one blog means every time my character meets someone new, that's got to be treated like a fresh universe where my character doesn't know any of the people that have had an affect on them—which means negating/ignoring all my character's plot development & emotional growth.

And that's boring to me! I want to have character development that sticks outside of threads with just one person, and I want Alastor to be free to talk about people he knows to other people he knows.

I’ve made exception side-verses for muses that don’t ‘recognize’ duplicates, b/c in that case, Local Alastor wouldn’t be able to talk about his friendships with his alternates, or maybe his marriage, etc, but that’s more of a logistical thing than a ship thing. And it’s an exception, not the rule.

I like keeping the development he’s had and carrying that among different muses, and/or being engaged in shenanigans that involve multiple muses, etc! Whether those shenanigans are serious plots, goofing off, learning from one friendship/relationship and carrying that into another, meeting an alternate who deeply affects his self-perception, etc.

From a ship perspective, the furthest he goes is qpr stuff. He’s open/polyship on that front? Like, he doesn’t expect exclusivity, and I don’t see him offerering it. Like... if he gets brainrot for two people, he’s not gonna be like “oh I cannot entertain my affection for the other person bc the other one is gonna be upset about it." That’s not his approach to handling that, but that’s a whole other post.

Romantic relationships don’t happen here. I don’t even know what to say about sexual exclusivity. In theory, he thinks it’s a bizarre request, in practice, there’s not much of a threat here. Like, if a good friend offers the opportunity to play Where’s Waldo Echolocation Edition, he’s not gonna turn it down just bc yo ass is insecure. But has he even played it yet? Is he getting offers out the door? No.

If you’re interested in a separate verse qpr, we can talk about it? Like, I’m not opposed to that, but I p much ship what happens organically on here. in this house we all simp over alucard 😌 but tyy i always have so many thoughts omg like i woke up after four hrs of sleep and this fucking show was the first thing on my mind snksndsk anyway imma talk abt the series bc i feel like it sorta came outta nowhere and i dont wanna bore the masses with my thoughts on character design or like animation style (not yet at least hehehe)

okay first of all the fact sm of u guys r reading this without knowing anything about him or the show or anything is so sweet like y’all really sticking through it for me..i appreciate it endlessly. this ranting might also be kinda helpful and idk i like hearing writers thoughts behind their work so i hope y’all do to

the title comes from farouq jwaydeh i found it on that twitter thread about arabic love poems that went around a few months ago. i actually wasn’t planning on naming the series that but the doc where i was working on each part had the quote “and if the devil was to ever see you, he’d kiss your eyes and repent” in it because i was planning on writing smth for alucard based of that and the more i thought about it, the more i realized how well it worked for the series. its so romantic and so devoted which is the type of relationship i do be writing and it also works within a lot of the religious themes of the show. if i could write that well it lowkey sounds like smth alucard would say akhfsk

and speaking of alucard, ik the fact he has two names might be a bit confusing especially with how i formatted bluebelle (whoops) but the characters name is adrian tepes but he goes by alucard for Reasons i wont spoiler lmao. aches & arches does do a decent job explaining y i choose to call him adrian instead, but in the future if i do write stuff outside this series for him there is definitely a chance he’d be called alucard it just really depends on context. i just think there is something very personal and intimate that the reader is very serious about the fact he isn’t a figure for the masses or only tied to his father. hes his own person who they love and they deserve to be called a name that is their own not a moniker given to them y’know? also the fact i dont think anyone actually calls him adrian in the show makes me sad like noo baby ur so much more than what ur father and Humanity has made u out to be ahaha

idk if i have mentioned this anywhere yet but this is also the first series ive ever written in like my....4? 5? years writing on tumblr (ew i dont wanna think about how long ive been doing this) but thats kind of a big deal. i’m a bit :/ with myself for how much stuff i tried to add to bluebelle because i really didnt think i was gonna write anything else for him so it feels a bit cramped in terms of themes in comparison to the other parts. i feel like it does stick out a little within the series considering some of those themes havent been explored again but ehh i’m complaining about something i can change so whelp. guess it means i gotta write more

although i must admit i’m probably not gonna write a wedding and i’m sorry if u guys wanted one i just...can’t Bring myself to write a christian wedding even tho i’m pretty sure alucard is atheist? or at least not catholic lmao and i would rather write a hindu wedding bc its better (noah fence) and i think the ideas? or meanings around hindu wedding ceremonies make sense for this but i dont wanna be alienating so.yeah. that also feels like i gotta start writing a plot and i would rather Not do that i’m fine with mindlessly fluff for now. idk if anyone can tell but i’m avoiding the whole vampire and human relationship convo bc i havent figured out my thoughts on it and i dont wanna deal. let adrian live in a soft fantasy world with no bad things okay thanks thats all .

yup, i totally agree! i dunno, i wanted to talk more with kokomi and gorou since they appeared for such a short amount of time and then the archon quest just ended. like when we saw sara lying at signora's feet, what happened to her? god knows bc there's no follow up to that. there were some loose threads left unanswered and i dunno, it definitely could've been better. the plot is good, rlly good, but the ending was just, meh.

honestly, i also agree with what you said abt the relationship between the harbingers and the tsaritsa. most of them seem to be loyal to her as long as they have smth they can get from her. also, have you ever thought abt the difference in how she treats venti and zhongli? venti was literally beaten and got his gnosis stolen by la signora whereas for zhongli, la signora made a contract with him which could've went peacefully if childe didn't unleash an ancient god—

sigh, considering snezhnaya is like, the second last place, it's gonna take like a million years before we can venture there.

also, i swear, all of my bad luck in genshin transforms into good luck in tears of themis. when i joined, it was the first shadow of themis with artem and luke. with the first 10 pulls, i got artem card's. after i got my guaranteed ssr card in normal banner (which was artem again), i pulled 10 times and got luke's ssr. and as for the new event, with the 10 limited pulls everyone got, i pulled marius's ssr card. within the next 30 pulls, i got luke's ssr card.

i wish. i oh so desperately wish that i could transfer some of my good luck into genshin. why, just why do i have such terrible luck in genshin. although, the pity system in tot is more forgiving than in genshin ngl

I KNOW FOR A FACT i will probably pick up more characters along the way but i couldn’t have picked a better one to start out with !! i have experience writing both misa & light - i actually am more experienced writing light than misa , but i still have a lot of experience with her under my belt !! i’m currently writing him in another group and when i saw duality i just HAD to write her here - i’m so excited to plot w/ y’all !! so lemme tell you the basic facts & some connections and ideas i have under the cut c: ( this got long i’m so sorry )

IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH DEATH NOTE / MISA : death note is a manga / anime revolving around a smart young man ( light yagami ) who discovers a supernatural notebook who can take the life of any human as long as the writer knows their name & face . light uses this book to essentially try and purge the world of evil , earning the alias ‘kira’ ( who gains a following ) , and misa , who acquires a death note of her own , seeks him out as the second kira . she possesses things that he doesn’t , so essentially she becomes his partner in crime - she , falling in love with him ( or more so the idea of him she created for herself ) , and he , entertaining her fantasies in exchange for her abilities and assistance . it’s . . . way more complicated in detail and honestly pretty sad but that’s the getgo . she’s a pretty girl with a very powerful notebook and she likes a guy with a powerful notebook that sees her more as a tool he can use to further his plans . OH OH OH and also she has a protective monster lady who’s in love with her and looking after her and threatening to clap light if he hurts misa in any way .

death note . . . is a story about how people who were good can become awful towards other people and themselves if you give them a bit of power .

BUT ANYWAY . misa actually has a much happier life here than in death note !! it’s . . . still kinda eh in some places but overall much better since that godforsaken notebook doesn’t exist and isn't here to screw anyone's lives up .

she's a former child actor, now a musician in a pop punk band called 'your friends & the skeletons!!' but as of rn with her taking a break from big performances and touring she's just a streamer operatin' out of alucard and trying to entertain herself since sometimes the world gets a little too big for her and she needs to take a step back.

it’s a pretty cute life & that’s the rundown !! of course , it’ll be more detailed and developed in my intro for her , but that being said - CONNECTIONS .

SO . . . folds hands . i kinda like the idea that misa hasn’t been through that many serious relationships ( always gets her heart broken through them ) but maybe there was that one serious ex-partner she had and they broke it off for whatever reason . it’d have to be when she was 18-20 and they’d be together for maybe about two or three years before her career takes off and stuff and yeah it’d be the saaaad relationship that fizzled out even tho it was serious for a bit

also some not so serious/long relationships where misa got her heart broken !! fun times !! misa throws her full heart into things way too easily so this could’ve happened in many different ways . flings ?? check . short-term relationships ?? check . she wrote a letter for someone on a starbucks napkin asking them out and they rejected so whenever she comes into said starbucks she feels shy & awkward ordering something ?? check . ( we can have fun with this basically it’s ‘ misa tried it with y/m and it didn’t work out and she’s still lonely ’ )

friends please !! friends that misa’s made in alucard !! also friends with benefits maybe !! idk !! misa is a very friendly person she will be your friend if you say ‘hi’ in a positive tone towards her !!

But, I like when people then pop up AFTER plotting, and want to engage in conversation and ask how my day is going. I have friends who I rarely speak to, but we just rave about our muses when either of us replies to a thread, ask or to share some art, and I have friends who i talk to on the daily. I’m quite flexible, but a relationship of any kind has to be 50/50 so if I feel like there is tension, or non-interest, I’ll probably dip. Also, as daft as it sounds, people who ask me about my daughter. She’s my literal world and I adore her very much so <3

hello everyone! quarantine has killed my motivation to make a plot post and i’ve been putting off making one for WEEKS because of the fact that i think i will get my shit together and write out fancy descriptions for the plots i want for san and in reality... that is just not who i am. so anyway, without further ado, i’m listing some basic plot/connection/thread ideas that i’d like san to have below!! so yeah! if u read this all the way thru, thank u and i owe u my life!

1. fwb / hook ups / one night stands (m/f)

san sleeps around... a lot. he has fwbs and hooks up a lot so if ur muse does anything along those lines or u wanna have them do smth like that Accidentally.. let’s do it! we can make it angsty or they can be completely chill friends too. this could even be a past connection and we can establish what their relationship like is now. either way it’ll be fun!

2. bido

san has a pet gecko named bido! he is san’s son and best friend and he loves him a lot. i’m open to any ideas, but the only one i’ve come up w/ myself is san could have a friend petsit, but then that said friend loses his beloved bido. in reality, bido’s probably just chilling on one of san’s shelves bc he got out when no one was looking, but we could do a fun thread where san and said friend panic search through his apartment before they find bido safe and sound in his room.

3. exes (m/f)

san has Commitment Issues. that being said, he probably has his fair share of exes / people he almost dated but it was just messy and heartbreaking and san never pulled through, or their relationship just wasn’t healthy. the most recent he could have an ex or anything along those lines would probably be this past winter or some time around there, but they could be old exes too! they could be on good terms, terrible terms, or anything in between.

4. first (gay) kiss (m)

san realized he liked guys when was quite young, and this plot surrounds him and the boy he first had feelings for that were reciprocated! the only requirements are that your muse should have lived in daegu around 2013 and they should be around the same age (a year or two apart at most). i don’t have many headcanons for this yet, but it will be plot heavy and should be a lot of fun! for a clear backstory on this connection, please read this solo.

What expectations do you hold towards your plotting partner: Ideas and somewhat more enthusiasm than me. I tend to shy away or feel very much awkward right off the bat if the person approaches me with not much to say or give. And honestly, some people really intimidate me because I am too hard on myself, so giving a bit of a pat on the back makes me relax more. I deal with a lot of anxiety and I know people run away the second I show it.

When you notice the plotting is rather one-sided, what do you do?: Mostly when I am doing the talk or coming with ideas or looking generally more interested. It takes effort for me to get on things and actually do stuff but if it’s not the other way around I end up thinking they got bored of me. I am one hell of insecure person. As for what I do, if after many tries of trying to reach another person and end up feeling rejected or ignored, then ... I stop. What’s the point of insisting if the other person would just be awkward or not spare you a word?

How do you usually plot with others, do you give input or leave most work towards your partner?: well, I usually ask first what the other thinks or have in mind, if nothing, I either suggest or start brainstorming with the other person. I know some who have dealt with me at first I seem like a dettached person but not having ideas really makes me feel like I have not much right to talk. I want to give yet without impossing or letting it twist my arm. I know for a fact nora’s lore really doesn’t help shit for most things.

When a partner drops the thread, do you wish to know?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: if the thread was meaningful and we were really into it , then I would ask but as for the most, I don’t really bother with it. Sometimes people just lose muse, and even if I was enjoying it, I don’t have the right to force someone or ask why they stopped. thread dropping is normal, i guess. - What should your partner do when dropping a thread?: whatever they want. telling me or not is up to them, I don’t really mind. RP is not something SUPER serious like it should be just perfect. I try to convice myself of this a lot.

What could possibly lead you to drop a thread?: either because it was old as fuck, I couldn’t find muse or because it was lost in the void of tumblr’s amazing tracking system. - Will you tell your partner?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.

Is communication in the rpc important to you? YES / NO. - And why?: if I do not have some idea of who am i rping with and what they have in mind, then it’s nearly impossible. being purely IC is really uncomfortable and could lead to a lot of misundertandings. - Are you okay with absolute honesty, even if it may means hearing something negative about you and/or portrayal?: yeah. mostly yeah -- I mean, I will feel bad, I do have feelings, but I will take it with water. - Do you think you can handle such situation in a mature way? YES ( but I will feel bad anyways ) / NO.

Why do you rp again, is there a goal?: connect with others, ramble a lot about characters, have fun. I’ve been rping since i was 12 ( back then it was not big deal your age apparently ) and having to connect with other people by making these plots and stories and just having a fun time is something that brings me joy. There’s so much that can be done. And exploring my muses with other muses influences is really helpful to fill the holes left due indecisiveness.

Wishlist, be it plots or scenarios: I wish people joined my lore more. Having muses that could be in the same story department as Nora in particular, would be hella and inspire me more. There is so much I have. Explore nora’s power is also something I want but it’s hard -- it’s very invasive and not many would really like it, feeling it’s meta. For now, I don’t really have other muses and Spike has her little crew outside tumblr.

Themes I won’t ever rp / explore: umm, it’s hard to think in something in particular. But mostly stuff that collides with nora’s story/character. but there is a lot I am willing to explore.

What Type of Starters do you prefer / dislike, can’t work with?: casual starters are my fab. It’s easier to figure out how to go or stop and think. plotted ones also work. as for what I dislike or cannot work with, things that force my muse to not act how they would? not giving me something solid is hard to handle.

What type of characters catch your interest the most?: I really like out of the norm muses, something that you see and say /oh , look at that/. Aesthetically, story wise or personality wise, something that goes out the usual troup most would use. I do have a guilty pleasure for opposite to my muse characters --- something that would really show the contrast with one another.

What type of characters catch your interest the least?: Very basic ones? or those who try TOO hard to be special. A character that doesn’t fit in the context they are in, esp. in fandoms. HEAVILY divergent characters that just basically turn them into OCs. I know I sound like a bitch but I am the type who respect canon and the actual author behind the character too much. — i’m so sorry it’s 1 am and i literally had nothing prepared so this is just going to be a summary and everything else i’ll just ... make up as i go along O_O

— so daniel’s not a misty hollow local, he’s a city kid that grew up in boston ! and growing up, daniel’s family didn’t have a whole lot. he grew up as the oldest son, he has one older sister and then two younger siblings, a girl and a boy.

— so yeah, big family in an expensive city, money was tight. daniel’s parents were your regular, working class folks who had to pick up odd jobs here and there to make ends meet. but they made it work ! they were an overall pretty happy family !

— even as a child, daniel always stood up for others. whether it be him, eight years old at the school playground, witnessing another kid get pushed to the ground. or him at eighteen, seeing someone in his class getting bullied at school.

— your typical.. very honourable, golden-hearted type. was taught to always show compassion towards others and to give them the blanket off your back if needed.

— that’s why the decision to become a police office only seemed like the natural one ! so he did that, worked as a cop for a few years before eventually making his way up the ranks and earning his title as detective.

— he worked in the special victims unit ( because i love law & order ) and daniel was on his way to becoming a lieutenant until a particular case hit him hard.

— missing girl. reminded him a lot of his youngest sister and letting his emotions get the best of him, had made a promise to the parents that he would find her. daniel got really invested in the case, and when they found the girl’s body, dead and brutally murdered, it devastated him.

— he took a few months of absence at work before ultimately leaving. he picked everything up and accepted the first job offering out of boston that he could find. he moved to a random town in the middle of nowhere .. misty hollow, which brings us to now !

— daniel wanted a fresh start, to lay low and just .. leave all that behind him honestly. he feels like it’s his fault that the girl died and constantly wonders if he had just acted a little quicker.. he still gets nightmares from the case, and there’ll be little things that remind him of it and it just immediately brings him back. so he’s trying to move on from all that. but not properly cause what is emotional intelligence ? idk

— a very closed off and private person. he’s curt and gets to the point, which can come across as rude sometimes.. put he just doesn’t have a lot of patience for dilly-dallying i guess gjdfnk

— very loyal and caring ! once you’ve demolished those stupid walls of his, literally has one of the biggest, softest hearts ever. will over-dedicate himself to people and things that he cares very deeply about. thank god he never got married.

Best ways to approach you for rp/plotting: IM since this is pretty much new . just slap me with that and if you have some ideas , better --- if not let just brainstorm with what we have in hand .

What expectations do you hold towards your plotting partner: some minimal idea of the context and eden’s character . some ideas if possible . more than often I have gotten people straight up jump with no clue of what even is going on in my side character wise .

When you notice the plotting is rather one-sided, what do you do?: depends , most likely really stop trying or let it sink . I’m not much of a person who would pressure for ideas when they don’t even come naturally for me in these kind of situations .

How do you usually plot with others, do you give input or leave most work towards your partner?: First of all , ask what they particularly want and if they read the bio . and of course , have their bio as well ( if oc or any relevant hc on vague canons ) . I am honestly a bit shy on the input but if I found a ground to start letting my imagination loose ( like , something in common between characters or something that clicks well with my muse ) I can suggest several things . but in any case , I’m pretty passive and it’s a lot of gives and takes .

When a partner drops the thread, do you wish to know?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: depends on the thread , the time and the interest . things that go downtown in the excitement scale are :/ and I can’t blame anyone for dropping a thread . not all the time you will have muse for them , tho , if it was a relevant thread I would ask at least . - What should your partner do when dropping a thread?: pretty much free to tell me or not . I’m no one to judge.

What could possibly lead you to drop a thread?: losing muse , interest , time ... pretty much the same . feeling like my muse is going too OOC for the sake of the other muse or smth . - Will you tell your partner?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.

YES / NO. - And why?: I am very old school and having some OOC interaction to at least know how things are going , it’s as much as I can ask here . - Are you okay with absolute honesty, even if it may means hearing something negative about you and/or portrayal?: I mean , I should . it can turn me off a bit but it’s just natural ? there’s no way something can be perfect or be of someone’s taste . plus I am not that smart to be fully aware of all the things around the motif and IRL information I use on my muse . Why do you rp again, is there a goal?: development , exploring the muse , seeing what works and doesn’t work . often new blogs for me are basically prototypes , they are and will most likely have minor or major modifications as my imagination starts working and getting excited . besides , in the basics , you can hardly manage to cover all ( if anything ) of how one’s muse would react to X situation .

Wishlist, be it plots or scenarios: a lot of quincy lore , come up with more personal connections with other quincies , fully develop a backstory and a post war scenario . cultural exploration --- relationships of all kinds .

Themes I won’t ever rp / explore: pretty much I am fine with anything as long as we don’t cross the gross line . but I’m not afraid of the dark .

What Type of Starters do you prefer / dislike, can’t work with?: absurdly basic and with no context given . not even have an idea of what is the deal between muses . I can squeeze my brain but there is as much as i can do with little information .

What type of characters catch your interest the most?: quirky ones , conflictive ones , most likely muses with specific motifs that spark my interest -- deepness . Aesthetically interesting ones . but overall , those who have out of the normal personalities .

What are your strong aspects as rp partner?: I am.... creative ? gdi I did this meme already but it’s hard to reply these two ones. I am easily excitable . if we end up in a ship , expect me to be pampering af . I really enjoy the exploration of relations between people , emotions and psychological stuff tied around it . I do like casual and also very deep things . I’m not afraid of dealing with heavy topics . I like horror ???? also I am very into the secondary character role , as in : my muse is here to help your muse to grow or insight . that stuff . not much of a protagonist role in RPs.

At least pre war . post war , she has a flipped personality were she is mostly bitter and more angsty but will go from fanatic to straight up hater .

- With what type of Muses do you usually struggle to rp with?: bland personalities ? not sure myself , Eden is pretty much ready for anything since her personality is pretty laid back . I guess I would say shinigamis in general --- since she basically is stuck inside Silbern . - With what type of Muses do they usually work well with?: Quincies , ofc . and people who are willing to put up with her crap .
