I would knit them sweaters using exactly the same pattern but different colours, so they are suited to them as individuals yet matching!

Coming this Thursday in collaboration with @knitting_confessions ❤️ “Lost Ruin” From the designer: “Lost Ruin is the third cowl in my Peruvian series and is inspired by the Amazon Rainforest and an ancient Incan ruin you might stumble upon hidden in the Amazon. This cowl is done in collaboration with the amazing Kelsey of Primrose Yarn Co. She came up with an amazing new colorway just for me! When it came to choosing a name for this colorway, I loved that the word Amazonas (Amazon in English) had two meanings. There is the Amazon Rainforest filled with vibrant colors, home to beautiful flora and fauna; but there are also the powerful Amazon warriors. These amazing mythical women are said to be fiercely independent, courageous warriors, stronger than men. To me that is just so empowering to think of this powerful warrior women. Another one of the reasons I look forward to autumn every year is because of the Rhinebeck sheep and wool festival in mid-October. Because I am a loser who enjoys a good sheep and wool festival.

Currently, my mental illness has me spinning yarn like the wind, and I'm frothing at the mouth thinking of all the beautiful fiber I can get this year, on top of all of the yarn, and other handmade goods I usually pack the car with.

Excited to go to a festival wearing beautiful handmade knitwear, and seeing everyone else's beautiful handmade knit-and-crochetwear. Petting sheeps and goats and llamas and alpacas and ANGORA RABBITS. Getting hot cider, because it's usually at least a bit chilly at this point, especially when you set out early in the morning, and eating other greasy, crappy (affectionate) festival food, but also decimating the barn with the homemade wines, fudge, maple cotton candy, handmade soaps, local honey, beeswax, and candles. It's also in the beautiful Hudson Valley area of New York, so by mid-October the foliage is just *chef's kiss*. I always go with the same group of friends, and we always find a really nice (and affordable) AirBNB, usually a beautiful old house off the beaten path, but within half an hour of the festival.

This was meant to be just a short post about being excited for Rhinebeck, and then it's like my entire brain took over waxing poetic about one of my favorite weekends of the year because aaaaaaaa I need that level of serotonin NOW.

Anywho, given recent events, I hope you're all doing as well as you can be. Hang in there, and if anybody ever needs anything AT ALL, I am always here. Much love. ❤️
