Worthless or Priceless?

Just imagine that you are lost in the ocean ,and as far as you can see there is featureless and void water scape. It's growing darker and deeper and you are shivering in the boat ,the icy touch of the howling winds, makes your spirit tremble! You keep on floundering aimlessly, under the starless stretch of deep blue sky,feeling dejected and lonely.

And all of a sudden a beam of dazzling white shines across your face. You see it coming from a distant source and the flame in your spirit is rekindled! Then you steer your boat with all your might towards this giant lighthouse. Your soul finds solace and comfort on the idea of being preserved from the dreadful sea monsters and you are exultant , overjoyed and ecstatic.

This is what happens in life . Sometimes you might feel depressed and victimized , insecure and hostile or even cynical and humiliated. You are strayed from your path and find yourself struggling and choked due to the overwhelming emotions you have been holding inside for so long.This is the time you will need a  lighthouse to guide you when you are lost.

And this lighthouse is nothing but your faith and strength . Make your spirit so resilient that it shields you from every demon , comforts you in times of despair and enlighten you when you seek it . Ending a life is never an option ! A timid person with an insubstantial character tries to escape a problem by committing suicide. By ending their life, people disregard the Divine, they submit and refuse to have faith , thus defying the laws of nature .

Many people around us have suicidal thoughts, but the ones who overcome them are glorious ! You are blessed with the gift of human life, so make use of it , prove your worth. Sit for a while and ruminate on the essence of life, and question yourself whether it is so worthless that you can throw it away or is it so priceless that you are ready to face every obstacle head on ?

Im not one to usually post. But seeing what is going on around social media it hurts seeing people who just want to live freely being brutalized by others.

Why is it that people can’t go out in peace and not fear getting arrested or shot by police for no reason. I’m not one to speak out but come on. From what I’m seeing online why do people have to be racist or homophobic. What difference will it make to your life is others are of a different colour or sexuality. We can’t be replicas of each other.

Everyone is the same as each other, we are all human. The skin isn’t the same, but why should that bother you? Why should you hate on others just by the colour? What difference does it make if they like the same sex? If they change their gender? Who gave you the right to judge anyways..

At the end of the day everybody is going to be going to the same place, under the ground. Let them live a life they want.

Seeing what’s going on in america I’m not seeing a president fight for the rights of his people, I’m seeing a racist president trying to kill the people, by commanding officers to do the job and take them out. That’s no right at all. They want a life they can live freely and enjoy they’re no different than us. They’re fucking beautiful people. No matter the race, colour, gender or whatever it is they’re people and they shouldn’t have to fight for a place in this world!

This world has become such a terrifying world to be in right now. Protestors are lining the streets, riots are happening in cities all over the country, innocent black men and women are being murdered by corrupt police, all happening at what we can only hope is the tail end of a pandemic.

I want each and everyone in this group and following this page to understand the fact that JVB Photography stands with the #BlackLivesMatter movement. We do not support racism of any sort. We are all human beings. We all have rights in this country, rights that no one should ever feel they are being stripped of.

This month, JVB Photography makes their donation to The NAACP. This month, we help fight for a zero-tolerance policy when prosecuting corrupt police officers who kill unarmed and non-resisting innocent people. This month, we help fight for a change.

“Cut Bait” The Black Lives Matter protests and activism of the last two weeks, while no longer eliciting citywide curfews here in Philadelphia, have been monumental in getting offending officers charged and maybe more significantly (according to one poll) getting a majority of Americans to agree to supporting the demonstrations. By hitting a breaking point and shining a light on the injustice of the devaluation of black folks in this country, the protests have made all too clear the structures in place to rule with a white supremacist inherent bias and defend it with an ironclad fist and the slaughter of innocents. The police in their crowd-controlling have only served to further taint their image with countless and escalating brutal acts targeting those protesting those acts. Thankfully so many have shared resources for education, protesting, and dismantling this fundamentally flawed and corrupt system with a message becoming clear: defunding the police is crucial and necessary for progress. So long as the funding pipeline remains unchecked, so too do the brutal militants who’s weaponry and chokeholds are paid for by your tax dollars. Time for a cop out. Put that money to better use and donate to make strides and support this effort. A letter to white privilege...

The pigment of your skin has won you a gigantic lottery prize to which you’ve never bought a ticket.

These protests — you shrug them off with a “it’s not that bad for ‘them’” — you sit on your couch and say “they’re unjustified in means and generally exaggerated in reaction”

You, of course, feel justified in your inaction.

Why does the reality of oppression makes you so uncomfortable?

God forbid anyone should make you accountable.

And yet, the truth is:

if your small child was murdered, people would move and shake to give you justice;

If your sister was raped, it’s much more likely that there would be a jury handing out a verdict in outrage;

And if your father was stopped by the police, it’s a thousand times more likely that his heart would still continue to beat;

All of this. Merely because of the pigment of your skin.

And when we’ve had enough, when our anger boils over, and we decide to stand up,

We live in a country with a leader who calls us “thugs” and declares a civil war

You back that up when you say “these delinquents are just using the death of this man to loot and steal”

Here you are, closing your eyes to the only thing that’s really real:

Your skin, and only your skin, has won you a lottery prize to which you’ve never bought a ticket.
