hate how this hellsite talks about women lately. to be honest.

#the rise of people talking about shit like 'misandry' on here is scaryyyyy.#misandry does not exist 💙 everything people say is misandry is literally just. an existing thing we already have a word for.#men dont NEED that kind of specification of oppression. the words are designed with men in mind.#women DO. because being a woman alters the experience of oppression. because it is different for women.#because women NEED these terms to make their voices heard. to get people to understand how it is different for them.#it especially gets me w/ shit like 'transmisandry' and 'transandrophobia'#that is literally just transphobia. it is also misogyny sometimes.#i do get if the term misogyny is uncomfortable! but it is not misandry because transphobes are not oppressing you for being a man.#they are oppressing you because they see you as being a woman the 'wrong way'#and i say this as someone who is literally transmasc. i may not use the term but it applies to me.#its all just fucking misogyny and transphobia!!#but it is NOT transmisogyny. that is a specific word for trans women. because the experience of trans women IS different.#i love you trans women. you go through so much bullshit on here #nyways as i was saying. you guys know that "landlords are leeches get a real job" is a haha funny bit you say to illustrate the hypocrisy of the rhetoric surrounding work and what qualifies as 'contributing' to capitalist society and not a coherent leftist belief right? you guys are saying that because it's funny to watch landlords sputter to come up with a response to the kind of attitude they have always subjected tenants and renters to and not because you genuinely believe your worth is determined by the money you earn under capitalism, right? you understand that once you believe it is possible for someone (even landlords) to be a 'leech' on society if they arent working (or aren't working enough, or aren't doing the right kind of work, etc), this will bleed into the way you think of everyone else too, right? you guys know that legitimate and meaningful critiques of landlords are not and can never be based on whether or not they are working because that is irrelevant to the fact that they own property for the express purpose of charging other people for access to shelter, which is a basic human need and shouldnt be controlled by the whims of Some Guy just because its his name on the deed... right???

wait i forgot to tell yall the absolute highlight of my day, and probably year, and probably existence because it was genuinely the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me

#i had to act like i was not crying in class because it shook me to my core #this one professor of mine great guy probably the only reason i have not given up on the graphic design program #starts class discussing our projects for the semester #and says both projects are brand new never done before #and one of them was a music project #where we get to choose the artist and create an entire spread of everything for them #lp/ digital campaign/ website/ spotify mockups the whole fucking nine yards #and this is a man WHO DID NOT KNOW WHAT MUSIC PACKAGING WAS OR ENTAILED UNTIL #I ONE DAY WENT ON A RANT ABOUT IT IN OUR FIRST CLASS TOGETHER #and who has asked me multiple times about it since and my amateur concert photos #and i’ve given him shit for cutting a different music project in the past #and this motherfucker looked at me (i’m losing my fucking mind at this point btw like full on #everyone in the class was looking at me after the announcement)#and this motherfucker looks at me ‘you got your music project buddy don’t let me down’#and it just kinda struck me that this clown of a man A) listens to his students and proposes projects he thinks they’ll be passionate about #but B) that he listened to me and i’ve just i’ve never had that things like this are always dismissed #and this motherfucker listened and formulated a whole ass project to help me #like that’s so fucking insane to me #eris: text

i really wish I'd gone to an actual art school instead of transferring all over the place and switching majors and shit. i get pangs of jealousy seeing ppl post their art school assignments, they look fun and interesting and like a good way to learn!

#like yeah im technically an art major but my school doesn't like it's art students #there's not many classes focused on industry artists except comics classes which mostly are in the english category for some reason #and so most of my assignments are fine art focused and not super useful for my goals #nothing against fine art #i just wish i was getting character design assignents #costume design #animation #settings and backgrounds #sometimes i can sort of twist the assignment to my needs #but often im the odd one out #everyone else is doing more conceptual or abstract stuff #and like to be able to do a super conceptual project with my mediums if have to get teally good at those mediums first #and that would be a lot easier with an animation class ya know?#id love to do some mixed media art maybe #ok now im just rambling lol #but i wanna learn how to code a website from scratch so i can make dome cool art that lives on a website #like you just type in the address and it's just for that piece #fills up the whole screen #like those creepy pasta inspired websites in theate 2000s!!#also i wanna learn other styles #like i wanna play atound with some different anime styles and furry characters and heavily stylized cartoons #and collaging #i should cut out some pictures and scan them to make stuff digitally and combine that woth drawings and animations

HELLO, I AM NOT DEAD, BUT I HAVE MANY FINAL PROJECTS AND WILL BE MILDLY INCOHERENT FOR THE NEXT 2-3 WEEKS

#am mildly delerious now tbh #i have to finish writing a chapter i was supposed to finish a week ago tonight #and also write an essay and response before 9:30 tomorrow morning #i also have to read two plays and design a website with a group based on EVERYTHING we read in class this semester #i also need to write a scene and revise a short play #and write responses to all my classmates stories for a class where we respond and give eachother feedback IN THE FUCKING CLASS #at some point i also have to meet with my advisor so i meet my academic probation requirements and dont get threatened with suspension again #an advisor who will tell me (like every advisor/teacher/adult with miniscule authority over me before her) to try using a planner #also should probably meet with a couple professors about extra credit #i have two weeks 🙃#my post

how to live with the guilt of helping to launch a dogshit digital product for the most annoying and difficult users ever when i was an intern and doing my best except my best was a complete failure and at the same time live with the fact that this was not entirely my fault because literally no one told me things would go wrong and now i have to review the complete failure it was in an empty attempt to remodel the product without being able to fully adress the systemic problems that doom the user experience from the start <3 google search

yeah so for context to everyone who is not in the theatre des vampires: daniel is a freelance graphic designer (i said so) (i make the rules)

Anyway i think he mostly enjoys logo design. And he dabbles in web design (runs one of those fucking swag personal websites mfs were making in the 90s) he probs made one for armand too cause i think that would be funny
