WIP Wednesday
happy wednesday everyone! i haven't started Unintended chapter 5, but i also don't want to spoiler chapter 4 too much before it comes out, either.
so instead, here's what might laughably be called my outline for chapter 3, as well as some brainstorming for chapter 4's title ... and a very small amount of chapter 4.
Chapter 3 Kiss – we haven’t kissed since Tuesday, when Penny made us stage a bunch of photographs around the city
Put down bags, bed, interrupted
Baz – why are you being like this?
Awkward, but it’s fine
BAZ
Simon wearing Baz’s clothes
Lady Ruth has sent gifts
Simon overcorrecting
Dinner?
SIMON
Daphne talking about Baz and weddings – always wanted to get married at Watford
Bed – Simon the floor
BAZ
Waking up, tail around legs – Simon has to get in the bed
Punting – kissing in public
4 –    ? To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before / Just Go With It / The Wedding Date / Drive Me Crazy
Watford – for some reason
i eventually built the plot for this chapter around my choice of 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before'.
i've copied this idea of having different movie titles for the chapter titles from several other fics. the one i can remember is the amazing It's a Wonderful Watford Life by MeredithKSparrow i think this concept works for my fic, too, because it's so clearly a romcom.
ok, here's some chapter 4 as well. you know all this from last time - but that's why it's safe!
I can’t believe Baz is letting this go on so long.
We’ve told all our family, loads of our friends. We’ve spent a fortune on suits, flowers, stationary, fucking centrepieces. We even have a gift list. Well, Baz has a gift list – I didn’t choose any of the things on there, but it’s got my name on it too.
I keep waiting for something to be too much for him. Not the gift list, that’s fine. But we’re back at Watford today, because it’s traditional in mage-mage marriages that you seek the Crucible’s blessing.

Hiring a Professional Wedding Photographer
Let's face it getting married is one of the biggest and hopefully happiest days of your life. To guarantee that all goes according to plan, you want reliable professionals. Most of this is wedding business exist to make sure the day itself goes well. The wedding photography, on the other hand, takes on a greater meaning in the days, weeks, month and even years that follow. It is important that your photographer is able to capture all that love and laughter and enable those happy memories to come flooding back with every turn of your wedding album page. So what are the advantages of hiring true professional wedding photographers for your marriage service and how do you tell them from the rest of the pack?
But it is quite typical for the bride and groom to prioritize about all other things except who will be their official wedding photographer. Everything else comes first, the dress and tux, the bouquet, the reception. It is at their bottom of the list that will be in charge of the photography. Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer
If you do something often enough, whatever that is, you should improve, makes sense, doesn't it? But years of experience give couples like you more benefit than just better looking photographs. One benefit to you should be in the quality of wedding albums offered. The album considered by Wedding Photographers to be the best in the World is the story book album. This Album is usually hand made by craftsmen. So, before booking, be sure to ask if your photographer is a member of a professional body. In the UK this can be the M.P.A, the B.I.P.P or the S.W.P.P. Ask to see some testimonials, thank you cards or reviews on line. Ask how many years they have been using their albums for and why did they choose that particular manufacturer.
One of the many benefits of hiring a professional is professionalism. Needless to say, professionalism do come at a price. The cost of wedding is on the rise and has become very expensive. In some cases, couples decide to reduce costs by keeping away from using professional services like for their wedding photography. The bride and the groom would like to believe that their friends and family members can take care of the photography on their wedding day at the hope of saving money from hiring someone who is a professional wedding services provider. Even if this appears to be an affordable solution, the result may not always be what is expected. Hiring a professional wedding photographer means top quality service. They come prepared to take photos all throughout your wedding. It is usually hard to expect the same level of professionalism from your friends and family. Your family and friends have a lot of personal connection to the wedding for them to efficiently take the photographs they are supposed to do. A highly qualified wedding photographer is focused on the job which results in better pictures done in a professional manner. Oxford Wedding Photographer
An additional advantage associated with hiring a professional is track record which can be verifiable and proven. Most if not all wedding photographers have their works preserved and well documented which shows their capability of providing excellent photography services for different types of occasions. Numerous photographers now have their portfolio or proof of work online aside from the traditional physical albums showing their best photos. This permits the wedding couple to have a better understanding of how capable a wedding photographer is. Moreover, several wedding photographers can even show memberships in their local photography clubs which offers a way to even further verify the wedding photographer's qualifications. Past clients can also be a source of verifiable testimonials.
These testimonials can help wedding couples make an informed decision about which wedding photographer can best preserve the memories of their wedding day.
Finally, professional wedding service providers can offer couples various photography solutions in preserving the memories from their wedding. Wedding couples can select from a wide variety of wedding packages. From traditional photo albums to the more advanced digital platforms such as photos on CD or DVD, slide shows and wedding photo galleries that can be viewed online. An excellent way to show your wedding pictures to your friends and family.

In Which Baz Has A Journal (Part 2)
Simon
If I could, I would have added Baz’s journal to my list of things not to think about, but it’s Baz’s journal so that’s proven to be impossible.
What I don’t understand is why I care so much. It’s just a stupid journal. I know now that he’s not plotting in it. That should’ve been the end of it.
So why do I glance over at him every time we’re in the same building concerned over whether or not he’s been inside too long? Why do I worry about if his leg is hurting him?
Why can’t I stop thinking about his mum’s voice putting him at ease and giving him strength? Why have I made a mental note of every golden haired boy at Watford?
I need to know more.
Baz
He’s been on my side of the room. It reeks of Simon Snow.
Of course, I can’t call him out on it. I’d have to have proof that didn’t scream vampire, and I don’t have any because all he’s left behind is the smell of him.
Still, I can’t even bring myself to care that he’s been on my side of the room. I’m just too tired, and as infuriating as it is, the smell is actually comforting.
Instead I pull out my journal and bring it to my desk. I start drawing.
Simon
I wait until he leaves again. This time it’s late at night and I assume he’s gone to the Catacombs. I used to follow him there relentlessly fifth year. Back when I was convinced he was soulless and unfeeling. Back when I was convinced he was a monster.
But he’s just a boy, isn’t he? He puts on a show, but after reading from his journal I’m almost certain it’s just to protect himself. He’s more human than I ever could have thought. He’s just mastered the art of concealing it.
I grab his journal and decide to keep reading from where I left off. The themes stay relatively the same. There’s bits about everlasting self loathing and more poems. I almost hate to admit it, but I love the poems.
My favorite one I’ve come across so far has to do with that mystery bloke again, and I can’t help but feel for Baz when I read it.
I’d cross every line for him.
In the end, I know I’ll let him win.
He’s got me in the palm of his hand,
His victory I’ve already planned.
I’m hopelessly gone for him.
Yes, it’s true.
This will end in flames,
but for him I’ll take the blaze.
All I ever do is lose.
So yes, poetry was to be expected, but I’ve also come to see other bits I wasn’t expecting.
Like the drawings.
He’s a bloody brilliant artist apparently. I knew the prat was musically inclined but I didn’t know he could draw too. I wonder just how far his artistic abilities extend.
One drawing in particular catches my eye. It’s of a woman’s hand. The hand itself is thick, and rough looking. She has on a wedding ring, and she’s got a ball of fire right above her hand.
At this point I realize I’ve stopped reading and I’m just looking at the drawings scattered throughout.
Then I see a drawing of me.
I almost drop his journal in shock.
It’s a gorgeous drawing of me, and I can tell he’s taken quite some time to draw it. It’s even better than most photographs of me.
It’s from about slightly below the collarbone up, and I look from the picture to down at myself and I realize he’s even gotten the moles right.
I feel like I’ve had the wind knocked out of me, and looking to the page beside it, I start to read.
Sometimes I wonder just how alive I am.
I’m at least half dead, I think. I mean, just normally, when I’m walking around and feeling good — I’m at least half gone.
When I was in that coffin, I pushed myself closer. I let myself slip away...
Just to stay sane. Just to get through it.
And when I felt myself slipping too far, I held onto the one thing I’m always sure of —
Blue eyes.
Bronze curls.
The fact that Simon Snow is the most powerful magician alive. That nothing can hurt him, not even me.
That Simon Snow is alive.
And I’m hopelessly in love with him.
So, I’m alive enough to love, at least. That has to count for something.
Baz
When I get back to our room Snow is already in bed, but I can tell from his breathing he’s not quite asleep yet.
I chance a look at him, and he seems tense. I wonder if he’s been arguing with Wellbelove again. I only feel slighty guilty for hoping that if they were, they were arguing about me.
I quietly make my way to our bathroom to clean up and change into my pajamas. When I make my way back to my bed, I freeze. He’s been here again. That’s twice now in less than a week.
I want to confront him about it. I should, but he’s already tense enough about something else, and I don’t feel like poking at him until he goes off tonight. Instead I climb into bed and allow myself to be comforted by the warmth of my bedsheets and his presence from across the room as I fall into sleep.
~
(Soo there might be a part 3 because this still doesn’t seem finished? I haven’t decided yet, but for now there’s this!)

Premier League restart preview No 19: West Ham | Football
What was the situation like when the league was suspended on 13 March? Tense at best, volatile at worst. Supporters were protesting against an increasingly unpopular board and another season at the London Stadium had descended into a relegation battle. Yet there were flashes of positivity in the weeks before lockdown. Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek had impressed after joining in January and there were signs that David Moyes, who replaced Manuel Pellegrini in December after a torrid run of form, was making his presence felt.
Admittedly the improvement came out of the blue. The mood was low after a calamitous 3-3 home draw with Brighton on 1 February but Moyes found a better balance as the weeks progressed and his side crept out of the bottom three thanks to a 3-1 win over Southampton at the end of the month. Bowen scored his first goal for the club, Sbastien Haller and Michail Antonio dazzled up front and West Ham looked dangerous in their last league outing, even though it ended in an unfortunate 1-0 defeat at Arsenal.
What about now? Nervy given that 16th-placed West Ham are only above Watford and Bournemouth on goal difference and were concerned about the financial consequences of relegation even in pre-pandemic times. Staying in the top flight is vital after the move to the London Stadium and Moyes could have done without Jeremy Ngakia, who did well at right-back after being handed his debut in January, deciding to leave on a free at the end of the month. The 19-year-old is out of contract on 30 June and is not even considering a short-term extension, infuriating Moyes. “We are really surprised and disappointed that Jeremy is not going to stay at West Ham,” the manager said last week. Still, at least Jack Wilshere is fit after recovering from a hernia operation. Wilshere has struggled with injuries since joining West Ham in 2018 and the former Arsenal and England midfielder, who has a year left on his deal, has been handed a chance to remind Moyes of his worth thanks to the unexpected break.
The Fiver: sign up and get our daily football email.
What needs to be done for a successful end to the season? Moyes is focused on improving his side’s defensive shape. He wants clean sheets and needs a settled back four. Ryan Fredericks needs to knuckle down at right-back, while Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop must ensure there are no costly lapses of concentration in central defence. West Ham have been too open this season and there will be pressure on Declan Rice to shield the back four – a job made easier by the arrival of Soucek. There is talent in this squad and there are attacking options. Bowen is dangerous cutting in from the left, Pablo Fornals is improving and defenders will not enjoy playing against the physicality of Haller and Antonio.
Have the players and staff behaved during lockdown? Moyes could have done without Rice having a kickabout with Chelsea’s Mason Mount on 15 March.
Any unsung/community heroes? Moyes spent part of lockdown delivering fruit and vegetables for his local food shop. “There was a thing up in the window that said drivers needed,” the Scot said in April. “I volunteered to do it as my wife was away at the time and I was on my own. So I became a fruit and veg driver.”
Key player in the run-in? Antonio only has two goals this season but West Ham are never quite as threatening without his pace and strength. The attack lacked oomph when the forward was out for three months after a hamstring operation in August. The problem is that his hamstrings are very unreliable.

End-of-season-prediction The margins remain fine but West Ham should have enough talent to stay up. While they still have to face Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Wolves, their rivals have tougher run-ins. Home games against Burnley, Watford and Aston Villa are likely to be pivotal.
Remaining fixtures (all times BST): Sat 20 June Wolves (h) – 5.30pm, Sky Sports Tues 23 June Tottenham (a) – 8.15pm, Sky Sports Weds 1 July Chelsea (h) – 8.15pm, Sky Sports TBC Newcastle (a), Burnley (h), Norwich (a), Watford (h), Manchester United (a), Aston Villa (h)

A tray of fresh Conference pears sit on my kitchen worktop on a dull afternoon. I notice them simply because they are lying there, bathing in a shaft of strong bright white sunlight. The light is bleaching out all the colour of the pears and yet still they look appetising and fresh. But this is not the reason they catch my eye. The reason they catch my eye is because the room is East-facing with no afternoon sun. So how are they basking in sunlight. The moment is gone so quickly I barely have time to capture the image. It was so brief that I didn’t have time to follow the light beams to see how the light was created, what was reflecting the beam of sunshine. I only had time to notice, capture and enjoy before the vision disappeared And this is another reason why I love photography and love being a wedding and portrait photographer. It’s always about the moment, the light, and the composition. . Premier League: Manchester United suffer new Paul Pogba setback
Paul Pogba is due to play again for Man United in 2019 but has suffered another setback and time off has been described as not beneficial. Paul Pogba's Manchester United return could be further delayed due to illness and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested the Frenchman's time off has set him back.
Pogba has only played six times this term after distress ankle damage in the draw at Southampton on August 31. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Tumblr media
He returned for the League Cup third-round tie with Rochdale on September 25 and lined up against Arsenal five days later but has not appeared since.
Pogba attended his brother Florentin's wedding in Bussy-Saint-Georges Paris, on Friday, having spent time in Dubai at the start of October and Miami last month. The MEN understands Pogba had permission to travel to France but hours after Solskjaer said Pogba had been 'struck down ill' the World Cup winner uploaded several clips of him dancing at his sibling's reception.
Solskjaer last week predicted Pogba would return to full training before the trip to Watford on Sunday and Pogba told photographers on Monday he hoped to be backing soon.
"Of all things he is struck down ill now," Solskjaer said after the Everton game on Sunday. "He is been off for two or three days probably so that is not beneficial. That is probably set him back quite a bit."
Solskjaer has repeatedly stressed Pogba will play again before the end of the year but his prolonged absence could raise further questions about his United future.
Planning For a midfielder
United are expected to recruit at least one midfielder across the next two transfer windows having missed out on one in the summer amid interest in Sean Longstaff. Nemanja Matic is open to leaving in the New Year and if he stays beyond the winter window could be released in the summer.
Tumblr media
The midfield progression plan for Pogba has possibly initiated with the corporation of Scott McTominay and Fred. The latter has started the last 10 Premier League games and McTominay has only missed two through injury.
Solskjaer is publicly refusing to envisage a United without Pogba though. "As I have said so many times Paul's a top top player that we want to see playing his best football at Man United. We just need to get him fit and match-fit. It might be half-an-hour, 45, 60, and 90 who knows in the first game. We are working hard to get him back but now he is ill. "
We can talk about Paul all day long and it is games like Everton for example when you are lacking that one creative pass or ideas maybe. He has that quality that not many midfielders in the world have, so to get him back would be great.
Football fans can get Man Utd Tickets through our trusted online ticketing marketplace. Ticket4football.com is the most reliable source to book Manchester United Football Tickets.

Hold On To That Feeling
Daydreaming and feeling overwhelming surges of inspiration is normal for me when I’m separated from the means to write (in other words, my laptop) for any extended period of time. I admit that very few times in my life have been so hugely joyous that a certain urgency to capture it in words lasts past the event. Some people have the gift of being motivational rather than nagging and I fully believe that it is the seven-hour car ride next to Sam and my number one baby that I owe this determination to not procrastinate anymore to.
The happiest and saddest experiences are either the easiest or hardest to put into words. In my grief for Max in 2015, I tried desperately to put into words the sudden sense of mortality I felt, being able to remember him as a little pup as if it were yesterday. But unlike my externally forced graduation speech back in 2010, which told as neutrally as possible of my hellish high school years, I couldn’t find the words for my sweet boy. The ever-expanding graveyard is since that summer where I find my ultimate peace and maybe that’s all I can ever say about it.
Maybe because I’ve admired and looked up to One Tree Hill actress and my idol Shantel Vansanten for so many years now, but I finally understand why she says “I look for inspiration in everything around me.” There was a time when I used to wait for that surge of urgency to write, but now many writing courses and pep talks later I’ve realized that it takes as much determination and focus as it does genuine inspiration to be productive. Every time I have heart-to-heart talks with Sam, I come away feeling more talented and capable for it so I owe it to her and myself to capture all the moments that it brings me joy to think about.
After the family vacation through Bruges in Belgium, the French war memorials and last but far from least Watford’s Warner Bros Studios three years ago, I always regretted not pushing through the procrastination to write about how much lasting joy I gained from October 10 2014. Naturally, it was my psychologist who helped me make use of that day of bliss at every turn, by using the happiness of the memory to put me back in a good headspace during stressful and less joyous times. Because I’ve figured out the key to making memories long-lasting for me personally, it is and always has been music. The more Indian weddings I attend the more certain I am that any Indian function my possible future wedding may have will be a sangeet only. I have a carefully chosen anti-anxiety playlist of positive musical associations and have to give even my least favourite One Tree Hill character, Peyton Sawyer, credit for one truth:

But I digress, being a huge fan of John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars after the film adaptation released in summer 2014, come the sightseeing in Belgium that October it was the soundtrack’s peppy track Boom Clap I tuned into as we walked the quaint streets of Bruge. The film’s love story took place in Amsterdam before terminal cancer turned it tragic and hearing that song on a tourist boat ride in Belgium felt close enough to the movie magic to be a joy to recall.

Seeing the war memorials on the next part of the trip it was my Dad’s excitement and the sheer scale of historical melancholy that made it unforgettable, being there to witness the 100th anniversary of WW1 was obviously an immense and sobering experience. But all that took place before one of the happiest days of my life, the one I’m sure I would think back on if J.K Rowling’s Patronus Charm existed in real life. In a way, I understand how she made the joy-sucking Dementors a metaphor for her own depression because that single day has had the strength to carry me through hard times ever since.
Harry Potter was what turned me into what I define myself as today: a fangirl. The fascinating Marauder era still holds a very special place in a heart no longer seventeen but probably happier than nearly a decade ago. It makes me feel old to think that the first Potter film adaptation came out sixteen years ago, 2001 was incidentally the same year to give the world Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, which initiated my ten-year obsession with SRK.

Coming back to the Watford experience, I can safely say it was life-changing: Between Tom Felton’s humorous tour guide recorded narration, the animatronic Buckbeak that actually bowed and blinked and my first taste of Butterbeer, I was floored long before the most exhilarating and then emotional parts of the day. The simulated broom ride which thanks to the souvenir videos and photograph reminds me more than anything else how happy that day was, is still something I just have to watch to feel intense surrealism to this day. But my favourite photograph that day is of me posing behind the Privet Drive sign. It’s hilarious to think that on the set the awful Dursley’s home exterior is right next to the ruin of Lily and James Potter’s house.

Already soaring on a wave of bliss that had begun with the HP film scores blasting all the way to the parking lot, standing in front of that scorched wall is where I got really emotional because somehow the couple who are dead before the series even begins have always meant the most to me. Yes walking through Diagon Alley’s set with the incredible detail on all sides I genuinely felt like Harry in wishing I had about a hundred eyes at once. But somehow it was still that ruined Potter cottage that I remember responding to now; the fictional sacrifice for their baby’s life as stirring and inspiring as anything else that trip.
When I was sixteen I once had a crush on a boy just because he resembled the fifteen-year-old James Potter from the Order Of The Phoenix film adaptation, incidentally my last non-celebrity / fictional crush to date.

Needless to say, that went nowhere and Harry Potter has stayed an important happy place for me longer than anyone in school ever did. There might still be times when the high school years negatively affect how I feel about myself but those days are few and far between.
Luckily for me, it’s a fact that time heals all wounds and someday only those powerful happy memories will remain. As Albus Dumbledore wisely said after all...

Even as a writer, with a craft as creative and yet honed by habit as many others, the end result of a piece like this isn’t always in sight from the beginning. There’s always the fine line of discussing a work in progress with my cheerleading family and figuring out on my own what feels right. I’ve had all sorts of advice; to combine experiences or don’t, or to be honest and heartfelt but draw the line somewhere. But at the end of the day, I know that the only way to get the words out is to find my own flow and go with it. All the song lyrics and Disney mottos about following your heart have got to come from a place of some kind of experience I suppose, so that’s what I decide to do with every word.

The theme of this article is holding on to joy and describing some hugely happy moments in my recent past would not be complete without the last week’s trip to Kottayam in Kerala. Some say this past week, with a royal Indian wedding and such a fabulous vacation with old friends deserves its own article and maybe someday it will get it. After all it took three years to pay tribute to the Potter joy as this article does.
But stand-alone tribute or not, the vacation after the Scindia wedding deserves a very heartfelt mention for inspiring me to write again in the first place with the love from old friends and simply breath-taking experiences. In a way, it does tie into the whole filmy Potter experience because Chacko Uncle shared his jaw-dropping world so modestly with us. How often does the average person get to sneak onto an active TV set and witness a girl prance onto the stage to an iconic SRK song?

For almost a decade my love of Bollywood became a way to connect with my roots from abroad and now it is always being in India that finds some way or other to remind me how much I will always admire King Khan. Granted there’s a huge nostalgia factor now but that song choice and moment in a little corner of that studio, trying to sneak a peek without tripping over the wires or squealing out loud was something I won’t forget in a hurry.
Over the next two days, the thrills just kept on coming, whether it was the epic serenades of our very own crooner Charles (the man stole my heart with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and kept it awed with a freaking Swiss German number) or getting to feel like a film star speeding along the backwaters, it was definitely like the Warner Studios tour in that I wanted to drink in all the sights and hold on to how I felt in the moment.
I’m not normally particularly keen on selfies, but with the enforced dressing up for the wedding before the Kottayam vacation, maybe the habit of sharing spilled over to that part of the holiday. Cruising along the backwaters I felt able to define wind-swept hair quite literally and even the slight motion sickness became easy to ignore with the sun kissing my exposed skin and finally getting to put my prescription sunglasses to good use. The picturesque backdrops helped me to feel beautiful and for that, I am more thankful than anything. Here’s hoping ten years don’t go by until the next reunion, visits to the south are as much a fascinating window into Mom and Dad’s past as anything else.

As my former obsession show used to say “by its very definition, glee is about opening yourself up to joy” and with experiences like these under my belt I might yet learn to do just that more often.
Tumblr media
Despite the way it crashed and burned, Glee did teach me to never stop believing and I like to think I’m one step closer to that faith with the power of all these good experiences to guide me. One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn made the idea of “someday” a trademark of many couples he wrote and I think my someday of just feeling good might be a lot closer these days. To end on one final OTH quote because it has words for everything
Tumblr media
I’ve come to realize that I don’t have to dismiss the bad things in my past in order to find happiness, but I feel like my perspective on the years of teenage suffering has changed and that, for now, is good enough.
