Listen i know some people dont care and go "oh its a franchise about a killer doll stfu" but like... god forbid some people want a compelling story/plot for the main villain, and instead its just dissolved to unfunny jokes and gimmicks that got old FAST.

I saw someone on Twitter mention this similar thing and brought up how the Chucky Hive Mind thing completely went NOWHERE last season, like everything goes to waste just for some injokes and gimmicks and its getting repetitive and boring

One thing I think about a lot since the season finale of Season 2 of Chucky.

Whatever happened to the original souls of Glen and Glenda's human bodies? It seems Tiffany transferred them before the age of 5, given the end of Seed of Chucky.

I would've thought that the human twins' souls would've been in the Glen/da doll in the same way the Tiffany/Jennifer swap went, but they made no move to make that true throughout the season after the doll was reintroduced to Glen.

So where the hell did the original souls even go?

My only reason for disliking the amputation plot being given to Nica is not because it felt like mean spirited shock value but mainly we don’t see how Nica is effected by it not just physically but also mentally and emotionally and made worse is she’s a minor character in S1 which kinda worse and feels a bit fridgy in a way. It doesn’t help if you get into the hot mess of a show, a friend or someone will just spoil the finale or just talk about it.

Hell Don admitted to Fiona he regretted it as he realize the limitations it gave to Nica as a character, took all the budget for cgi hence why I think Nica was sidelined for most of S3 especially with the fake blood being another factor on budget, as well it doesn’t help that I’m pretty sure Fiona mentioned that they might have Nica body swap at some point later (I’m not sure how 100% true it is so take this with a grain of salt) which renders it meaningless and also it’s gonna lead to another issue.

Just remember S1 was a original mini series so they weren’t thinking of how to have it be meaningful or work at all when they got renewed but already the damage was done with Don realizing it later on.

Random Chucky observation incoming but...

I feel that "Charles Lee Ray" and the split soul "Chuckys" feel like completely different characters. I honestly just consider them their own people at this point. There is barely anything left of what we know of Charles within the new dolls in my opinion.

When I refer to Charles I'm talking Child's Play 1 - Bride. Even with the added comedy aspect in Bride and even most of Seed he seemed the most consistent throughout these movies.

Seed is an anomaly in a lot of places and Curse I have my own issues with how he's characterized, but ever since Cult and the TV series it just doesn't feel like the same character anymore.

Honestly as much as I hate the split souls decision it could have been interesting if they did something different with it. I would rather there be more details about it. Maybe splitting the soul fragments his memory and slowly his personality is lost overtime??? Like there are definitely things that could be done with it, but I suppose I'm expecting too much of a franchise like this. 😔
