oh my GOD i deleted my rant by accident im gonna cry lemme try to remember what i wrote but tl;dr not really a theory but me trying to arrange my understanding of albrecht and tmitw
i title this: wallbrecht is everything everywhere all at once
also i wrote this at 5-6am and didnt sleep so shit's probably messy
Tumblr media
ok so a major theme in warframe that recurrs in warframe is the loss of identity or sense of self. natah/lotus/margulis, erra becoming pazuul, teshin being controlled by the worm queens, the operator dissociating and believing they're our warframe, then the operator losing themselves to the worm queen and the operator (+rell) confusing ourselves with tmitw himself , the drifter in duviri, warframes themselves losing their sense of self (umbra at some point, and potentially arthur and aoi down the line), albrecht worrying who really left the void dimension, the remaining entrati family themselves!. we're also told many times that the void gives but it also takes, and that it's heavily influenced by strong emotions
in cosmic horror stories usually the horror is a representation of something else. in lovecraft's works it's often his disgust with people of colour, viewing them as something completely alien. in bloodborne part of it is the fears of pregnancy and dealing with offspring. i haven't played darkest dungeon but i've heard that it's about trauma and how the overwhelming traumatic events become too much to bear that people go mad. in the lighthouse, part of the horror is that people will fight and kill just to know the truth, or what they believe to be salvation
so i think albrecht's horror was his fear of losing his identity. we knew from the clock's archives that his experiments hadn't been going well prior to the bell incident. he was losing respect as an archimedian, maybe he lost respect as a father and husband too. i think a lot of us theorise already that albrecht IS the man in the wall, not a doppelganger like tmitw literally was with the operator. but tmitw being omnipresent means that they can freely simultaneously be and not be other people, the paradox of eternalism. albrecht is now the void, he knows every timeline and every outcome and potentially every person (except operator/drifter because they're already void in multiple senses of the word) but he is also still one human. the human mind can't reconcile knowing everything, that's just madness. lucky that kids aren't as self aware as adults!
the void isn't evil nor good. it gives and takes merely because that's the way the universe works, very vaguely dare i say the law of conservation in (a very sci-fi way) action. the void is in the grand scheme of things is just a natural phenomenon of the universe. but the overwhelming emotion present during the 10-0 accident (if that even was an accident) and albrecht's own experiment just happened to be fear, so the void literally embodied the concept of fear and became a person, vecause that's just what the void does. it became an unknowable being behind a veil just beyond our perceptive reality that understands the plights of humanity a little too well. it could have manifested into something friendly and offered us and albrecht a deal in a polite way if the circumstances were right but it wasn't. tmitw is a manifestation of the void so whether the man - albrecht - wanted to or not, he had to approach our operator in their greatest moment of fear. what he did have a choice in, though, was to offer a deal. and what better way to secure a time loop, multiple ones even, that will guarantee your becoming wally than to be a time-space hopping entity who can exploit a bunch of scared kids who didn't know any better.
i don't know what we'll be using the vessel for but i don't think we'll be using it to fight a giant wall (and if we are it won't be the climactic final fight). i don't think we'll ever overcome the void, and we don't need to. the void just is. but the man in the wall literally is just a man. and i know people dunk on bad cosmic horror when the spooky thing is actually just a person or has sympathetic motivations but i think here warframe may be able to pull it off well. it's a cosmic horror that's made life miserable over multiple lifetimes, but the horror simultaneously is just a victim partially of his own doing because the cosmic horror never was alien, it's just a person who's scared of losing himself, just like the lotus was and just like our operator was. the cosmic horror IS the person in the stories who faced the horrors, who faced themselves in the seriglass bell - all it took to differentiate us and albrecht was an *accident* (though at this point it was probably intentional)
we need to confront albrecht/the man in the wall and try to stop his madness. but like many cosmic horror stories go, i think he's trapped no matter what. he'll either overcome his fear of losing himself and become one with the void, leaving us for good, or he'll try to return to gomaitru. but the fact that he's not the same as he was before and neither is gomaitru, with what he's seen and experienced as tmitw will be so maddening that he'll have to leave for the void once again in a suicide mission if he still can't reconcile with *what he is* now. in true cosmic horror fashion we will probably never fully know his motivations till the end, being a greater being than our scope of thinking - and with eternalism in place, maybe albrecht reconciling with himself was what already happened back in the seriglass bell

Just need to... C... Calmly. Mention the things I love about The Lotus Eaters quest art.
This is the first Lotus Radiant appearance in an official piece of key art. And she looks fucking regal.
Let's talk composition.
Tumblr media
Wally and Lotus. Two sole subjects separated by the vastness of Albrecht's Void manifestation.
They're placed in a way that suggests that they are indeed opposing forces, but without the drama and action as, let's say the Arthur and Excalibur freeze frame we saw during TennoCon.
Wally - an embodiment of the Void, of the Sentient poison - bellows in a challenge, but Lotus doesn't flinch. She has her back turned to us, but she doesn't look intimidated. She isn't running, she isn't fighting. She stares directly at Wally. It's like she has no reason to be afraid.
In fact, the purple fog towards and throughout the bottom half of the image gives the impression that Lotus herself, or what she represents, is an equal force against Wally.
This is further strengthened by her pose. She is standing tall and calm. Her hands are clasped in front of her, at ease, a bit like how default Lotus or Margulis does it, but here, she feels more relaxed.
Lotus is not defending herself. She is not fighting or issuing a challenge. She stands deliberately at the very point of the stone floor, almost as if she's presenting herself to the Void.
At the end of TNW, she told us that she "saw nothing" when Wally burst out of the portal, even after she struggled so hard to close it. She denied Wally's existence, multiple times even... and here she is facing Wally again. But this time, she's composed and collected. Fearless.
So the question is: What changed? Between The New War to The Lotus Eaters, what was it that allowed her to overcome her fear?
Will we uncover the roots underneath it? Did she truly manage to weed it all out? Or was her "fear" even fear at all?

The Man in the Wall sounded desperate to get their hands on that last page because it contained the one thing that could stop it. The one bit of Albrecht Entrati that he had not already fully consumed.
At the same time, it was Loid's bitterness, his unwillingness to hear out the man who hurt him, which was fuelling TMITW's plan to materialize in the universe. The vast indifference, as it were.
And understanding this, the Tenno utilized the decrepit, run down giant (which TMITW casually disregards as "abandoned") to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. To give Loid a reason to reject indifference. To utilize the last gift Albrecht Entrati left for Loid.
The Man in the Wall was stopped not by any plans or machines. It was stopped by oLd MaN YaOI.

what horror trope/metaphor i enjoy are you
Tumblr media
meat as horror
meat hooks and conveyor belts and cold metal. the warm eyes of a stupid animal, completely unaware of the watering mouths that await it. "cut here" lines drawn on the body, slabs of steak that bleed and bleed, unrelenting. are you hungry? would you kill to stay alive? you feel like prey, or maybe like predator. sinew is stuck between your teeth, and gore dribbles down your chin. don't chip your teeth on the bones. you feel like the top of the food chain, and don't see the eyes gleaming behind you.

I actually don't understand Sansa trusting Dontos and his supposed friend to help her escape from kingslanding. How come Sansa never become suspicious of it? Plus Dontos giving her silver hairnet was also sounds dubious. I get that her priority was to escape the KL and from her abusers but it still make me confused. Also WF was in the hands of Grejoys later Boltons after her brothers death. So what was actually her plan even after if she reached WF? Do you think it's for plot purpose?
Well, I think her priority being escape is a pretty solid reason that can well stand on its own. She has no alternatives, and it's not like she is unaware of the fact that this is an uncertain risk. Dontos is stingy with information but he's her only hope for escape. She tries to take the alternative route through the Tyrells, which she deems safer! But that one doesn't work out, so she takes that barely calculable risk.
It's not so much that Sansa has a plan so much as she is simply that desperate to leave, plan or no plan.
These quote from the chapter where she agrees to the escape sum it up pretty well:
Oh, what am I doing? she asked herself as she dressed.  This is madness. [...] Sansa threw a plain grey cloak over her shoulders and picked up the knife she used to cut her meat. If it is some trap, better that I die than let them hurt me more, she told herself. She hid the blade under her cloak. [...] Slowly, Sansa lowered the knife. Her head seemed terribly light, as if she were floating. This is madness, to trust myself to this drunkard, but if I turn away will the chance ever come again? "How . . . how would you do it? Get me away?" [...] He swore. A solemn oath, before the gods. "Then . . . I will put myself in your hands, ser. [...]" (ACOK, Sansa II)
She's taking a fruit knife for the purposes of self-defense or suicide. She chooses to trust this man she saved from certain death, even without knowing where this will take her. Turns out he's paid off by Littlefinger, but, you know, she's twelve and shouldn't be dealing with any of this. It's not like she had good options otherwise.
"But . . . my lord, you said . . . you said we were sailing home." "And there it stands, miserable as it is. My ancestral home. It has no name, I fear. A great lord's seat ought to have a name, wouldn't you agree? Winterfell, the Eyrie, Riverrun, those are castles. Lord of Harrenhal now, that has a sweet ring to it, but what was I before? Lord of Sheepshit and Master of the Drearfort? It lacks a certain something." His grey-green eyes regarded her innocently. "You look distraught. Did you think we were making for Winterfell, sweetling? Winterfell has been taken, burned, and sacked. All those you knew and loved are dead. What northmen who have not fallen to the ironmen are warring amongst themselves. Even the Wall is under attack. Winterfell was the home of your childhood, Sansa, but you are no longer a child. You're a woman grown, and you need to make your own home." (ASOS, Sansa VI)
It's a setback, and not the last one facing her, but GRRM makes it clear that Winterfell remains on her mind. Her next move is to rebuild it from snow. She dwells repeatedly on how there is nowhere left for her to go, while in the Eyrie. But Littlefinger knows that the only way to keep her cooperative long-term post-Lysa is to make her this promise:
. . . and when they come together for his wedding, and you come out with your long auburn hair, clad in a maiden's cloak of white and grey with a direwolf emblazoned on the back . . . why, every knight in the Vale will pledge his sword to win you back your birthright. So those are your gifts from me, my sweet Sansa . . . Harry, the Eyrie, and Winterfell. (AFFC, Alayne II)
So you could say, Sansa isn't yet one for making concrete plans. She's going with the options presented to her at this point, trying to make the best of it. But she knows where she wants to end up.

[wf] Nothing Is As It Was 1. Last Day in The Colosseum
[next]
They rise from the shadows ghoulish and wheezing. The morning always starts with questions spilling from their trembling lips like droplets of rain running down a glass window. Who knows if it even is morning. The skies are always unclear, but it’s easier to start a day at an earlier hour. Living beings tend to crave routine of some kind. Leander is no exception.
He lays unmoving in the dirt, facing the unchanging gray skies above the thorny black walls of the colosseum. The dark mirror images of himself slowly drag their feet towards the center. The barrage of questions from them are but a white noise by now. Many cycles ago he tried to answer them, and find meaning in it all, only for it all to result in one failure after another.
Though the self-loathing has become nigh unbearable, and he has no desire to continue this charade, he still turns his face toward the doppelgangers when they’re almost within reach. He sits up, stretches his arms upward, then jumps to his feet. Might as well go for a stroll while it’s still possible.
“That question in the test. Do you really think you answered it right?”
“How come you’re so slow?”
“Do you think you’ll ever grow at least an inch taller?”
“Don’t you wonder if this was all done on purpose?”
“What if they never cared about you? What if they faked it and are alive?”
“Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be appreciated, even loved?”
“Did you really expect a different result?”
“What is the point of doing anything if you’re never going to reach peak potential?”
“Have you wasted it? You have, haven’t you?”
“Why can’t you be normal?”
“Why do you even try?”
The young man makes two circles around the colosseum’s gladiator arena to herd the crowd of clones into a neat pile. Then he proceeds to walk the same circle backwards, all while inspecting the ghoulish copies of himself to see what’s the damage of the day.
His hair has turned dull and gray since a long time ago, but it still feels like just yesterday he had his neck length black locks. He also doesn’t remember at which point or how he got the number tag pierced to his ear as though he was some cattle. The tag says 0.9 but the meaning of this number is still a mystery to him.
He slows down a bit to let the clones come closer, at the same time still stepping backwards away from them to avoid getting touched. Seems the only new thing from last cycle are a couple scrapes and nicks on his face. They had put their nails to use.
In a moment, the ship in the distant grey skies above takes on the shape of teeth and turns bright red. The scarlet color illuminates the architecture below. There is now an audience in the seats surrounding the arena. There aren’t many of them, but they all don the same face - Leander’s own face. And they look at him with disdain.
The doppelgangers now pick up the pace. They move a bit faster but are still physically harmless, and their questions turn into statements which Leander can’t help but take as fact. They aren’t saying anything new though and after many such cycles, the man simply looks the other way. There is still some time.
He strides up to the audience seats and picks up the curved swords left there for him. Those he straps to the belt around his hips. Then he starts climbing the walls, to get up to the advanced construction, as far away from the center of the arena as possible. He’s done this many times before. The first time he got the idea to climb up above the arena, he slipped and got impaled on a thorn. The cycle reset. Now he reaches the upper edges of the colosseum without a hitch.
Once there he sits down and looks at the ghoulish clones below. They’re unable to reach him and he can spend the rest of the cycle in relative peace until the mouth in the sky inevitably devours him and everything resets and a new day begins again. Sometimes he stays the entire day down in the arena, just to change things up a bit, die in a different way, by getting clawed at and eventually eaten alive by these inhuman things instead. He has long since given up fighting them. Picking up the swords is just a habit.
Leander shifts from sitting position to lying one and closes his eyes with the intention of browsing his exhausted mind for something to dream about. Not a moment later, he sees a splash of color that’s not black or red, and hears something like a spark of electricity, and then a… meow?
The young man blinks his eyes open in disbelief. He has never had a daydream like this before. Seagreen. What a lovely color. He could work with that. Could cling to it and never let it go. He nods to himself. But before he could go back to daydreaming the owner of the meow forces itself into his vision. It’s a pitch black kavat with piercing green eyes and a fanlike tail.
“You there. Come with me. Hurry.” And it speaks in commands.
It speaks!?
“Wh- what?” Leander croaks out a response and cringes immediately after. He’s nearly forgotten his own voice.
“No time. Come. Get up.” It continues to order the man, and nods its head at some kind of rift portal behind it. “That is your way out of here.”
The man immediately scrambles up on his feet at that last mention. He knows this can’t be real, but he will take the chance regardless. He hesitates as he approaches the seagreen rift. Something about it feels familiar.
“Is Ria there?” He asks.
“GO!” The kavat snaps at Leander to get him moving at last. They leap into the rift and it closes after them. For a split second the man could see the entire colosseum begin to crumble. That definitely hasn’t happened before. Even the one time he had decided to jump outside the colosseum, he still had ended up in the middle of it, and had started a new day as usual.
Everything turns black, and after a moment it changes to pink mixed with orange. He’s falling through this beautiful sky, with this strange feline in his arms and he can’t help but laugh. The cycle is broken. And nothing is as it was.

Firstly: SHE LOOKS LIKE AN INFANT BABY GAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA
Secondly:
Tumblr media
So is Lotus just a natural Wally Repellent? Are the tables gonna flip? Is Wally gonna end up being the one who's scared of Lotus? What's their dynamic really like??
Or maybe this is just a fun way to say "PROTECT SPACE MOM FROM SPACE WALL" while hugging her plushie
Either way I don't think we're gonna need to rescue her hahaha. I've got faith that Bad Things will happen in Lotus Eaters but the writers won't just do a rehash of the Lotus gets kidnapped plot point (not on the Lotus at least). I'm very hyped to see what she does now that she's free from the brainwashing <3

Case file #101: Adam Taurus
Tumblr media
Race: Faunus
Nationality: Atlas
Ethnicity: Mantlecean
Weapon: Wilt & Blush (note: resembles a SDC weapon prototype that was stolen about 5 years ago. The blade stores kinetic energy that is then released in the form of harsh destruction rays.)
Gender: Man
Sexuality: Gynephiliac (This information was obtained from a double agent in Menagiere)
Current Age: 21
Aura Color: Red
Handedness: Right
Complexion: Pale
Eye Color: Pale blue
Faunus trait: Bull horns (Adam has both the strength and Endurance of a Bull, according to reports.)
Occupation: White Fang Vale branch leader
Previous Occuppation: White Fang Black ops commander (Classified)
13 years ago, Adam Taurus (note: last name constructed) became the subject of a world known, yet private court case against the SDC where a brand over his left eye was used as evidence of several claims of Faunus workplace abuse. The accusers in the court case were the two leaders of the White Fang, Ghira Bête & Sienna Khan. The White Fang won the court case and an anti neo-slavery bill was passed throughout Atlas-Mantle as a result. Adam, who had recently lost his mother at the time and was a still a minor, was adopted by Sienna Khan who took him to Menagiere.
... unfortunately, 5 years ago Ghira and his wife Kali Bête were assasinated at a Faunus rally somewhere in rural Sanus. They survive by their only daughter, Blake Bête. Since then, the White Fang has cultivated a [CLASSIFIED] organization under the leadership of Sienna Khan. The leaders of the White Fang under Sienna include Adam (Vale branch leader) and Fennec & Corsac Albain (Religous leaders). Attempts by the White Fang to establish an Atlas branch have been stopped by the council (note: countinue to stop them. watch all WF gatherings in Atlas).
WARNING: ONLY MEMBERS WITH LV.5 CLARENCE ARE ALLOWED TO READ BELOW
The White Fang has a Black Ops organization being used to carry out robberies and assasinations in all of Renment. The leader of the Black Ops is Adam Taurus, with Illia Amitola (note: needs a case file) and Blake Bête (has carried out 8 known assasinations on Faunus hate groups, currently missing, needs a case file) as sub commanders. All three serve as de-facto leaders of the White Fang in the event Sienna Khan is killed (note: Do NOT assasinate Sienna Khan, it will lead to race riots. Limit anti White Fang activity to covert operations).
Adam is wanted for the murders of 64 individuals in Atlas, all of whom are connected to the SDC (note: at least 20 were family members). If spotted, do NOT kill him, he is to be captured alive under all circumstances. Allow him to flee if he cannot be captured.
[The writing below is a transcript from a page recovered from a mansion attacked by the White Fang. It is believed to come from Adam Taurus, written by him and then stabbed to the wall.]
"...your father is a white demon. He told me he loved me and would take me to Atlas, but after I gave him what he wanted he left me down here in his mines. Adam, I need you to find your father. And when you do, I want you to kill him. And his wife. And their children. Kill every human on this earth so I can forgive giving birth to a half-"
"I WILL DO IT MOM"

We need some whisperedfaith stuff in here, I've looked and found nothing. So maybe some headcanons for Sean or Lee like with a partner or just general?
of course!! my fav is Sean, so I'll write some for him :)
Sean/Shiny Headcanons
Tumblr media
-He's actually like,,, a MASSIVE loser lmao. He tries to appear like this sadistic, cold, and manipulative cult leader, but in reality he's just a really desperate junkie. Which in a sense, he is a junkie; he's addicted to the Speaker. Like Lee said in the 'Interrogation' video, he has been listening to the Speaker's whispering in his ear for so damn long, he's addicted to it. Now, i'm not sure what the Speaker could be saying, since from Lee's experience, it was torturous, but for Sean i think it would be the opposite. So i guess the headcanon is: the Speaker feeds Sean's ego, showering him with complimentd about how good of a leader he is, or how strong he is, or anything that would appeal to him, and that's how he keeps Sean under his control.
And that makes sense, because it's the Speaker, it's an honour to even be spoken to by him, and he's getting all these compliments? He must be doing something right, he must be special.
-Also, here's just my theory/HC on why Sean of all the members got to be the cult leader: i think that Sean was the easiest to influence. I believe that as a person, he was always a bit egotistical. That might be because of childhood, or him having to harden up for some reason, (i'm too tired to make a whole theory about his childhood sorry 😭) but i think even before the cult he would act very guarded. Like he would have walls up every second as to not get hurt.
So when he learned about the The Family, he thought, 'maybe that's where i belong'. And his goal from the start would have been to be the leader, to be worshipped and loved. So he came in that cult with determination, he was hard and would do anything the higher ups told him, even hurting people if needed. So The Speaker noticed him, and he thought, 'that's my target'. His ego is easy to feed, and therefore, easy to manipulate. So The Speaker fed him with compliments, making him believe he was the chosen one.
-I actually think Sean's story is really damn sad, but also he kinda deserved it. The man left all of his family and friends, wanting to feel loved and worshiped by someone. With the delusions added on by the other cultists, he was completely blind. Although, of course, nothing is black and white, and i'm sure he knew what he was doing. He was aware he was hurting people, people that trusted him, but he didn't care, and was blinded by greed and hunger for praise. Which in hindsight, made him hated by his followers. He was rude, pretentious, and arrogant. He believed he was the Chosen, the One, the man who would create portals between worlds, and The Speaker's favourite.
But in the end, that was all in vain. Because when he was gone, he was replaced. Lexx took over, and clearly she was more loved than him. So he grew bitter, and angry, even after death. Even in 'Limbo', he was bitter and lonely. I guess that was his fate from the start.
alright sorry for the rambling :) this was actually very fun to write, although ik this post won't get much traction due to how unpopular WF is,,, but it was fun anyway. thank you for the request!🖤
