No cuz after a year of thinking that enemies to lovers is my favorite trope (despite never truly loving an enemies to lovers book/movie), I finally realized that fake-dating has always been my favorite trope 😭

sometimes i'll think about how, at the start of episode four, pete offers to help porsche guess who he might have kissed at the pier the night before, and i imagine a crackfic where porsche goes on a quest to find out who it was by kissing his colleagues one by one - starting with pete of course that man was ready to sacrifice himself for the cause when porsche had questions about casual hookups later in the episode, offering himself up without hesitation
he visits them one by one; pol is confused... but intrigued, it's like one of tankhun's series! arm already knows it wasn't him but insists they check it anyway... just to be sure, right? you never know. ken says he'll break his face if he tries anything (very suspicious, porsche makes sure to highlight his name). big doesn't know whether to be angry or confused, he wasn't even there??? no he and ken didn't sneak in halfway through because of a secret crush, this isn't one of tankhun's series! tankhun asks what they're doing and if he can join but porsche isn't about to open that can of worms.
maybe at some point kinn catches on and realizes porsche doesn't remember but is rating the others based on if they kiss better or worse than the ~mystery person~, which is giving him an ego boost up until porsche declares that one of his friends is actually a better kisser and therefore can't possibly have been involved (said friend is very confused about why khun kinn is giving him death glares for the rest of the week)
you can even throw in some chan or vegas or anyone else if you want to, just go crazy with it, i think that'd be really funny especially if porsche just casually blasts vegas after they make out for a solid minute saying "no you're good but the other guy was just less desperate you feel me, sorry bro".

Music for The UnTitledverse, Last Line's for three A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore WIPs and lastly an "Understand My Group" Meme for characters in my Wings And Horns WIP. You can listen, read and use the template of the meme that is under the cut:
More about the Walking Fate series. This series somewhat sticks to the compliance of canon, but there are times where it diverges. Mostly in regards to characters and their arcs and survival (or death), plus some plot elements being replaced/repurposed. There's about five planned "seasons", with four of them taking the canon compliance route while the fifth is an original plot. I'm also treating Walkers with more respect; they're pretty much a death sentence if anyone is unprepared for them, or god forbid, come across a Herd. Malcrum and Clementine's relationship is in no means meant to impede on the canon relationships she forms and that impact her, it is meant to be an additional and interesting idea to explore her character, especially with the inherent tragedy that ties them together and how it affects her character going forward (as well as my first time writing a relationship like this type in The UnTitledverse, which compared to its predecessors, is a story that doesn't resolve the tragedy with reconciliation between Malcrum and Clementine, emphasising the bitter nature of this bittersweet series). The tragic turn this relationship is of neither parties fault; it was simply bad luck. Malcrum, while separated from Clem and the group, happened to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time, picking up the wrong object, where his mind would (mostly) be fried and lose his agency/autonomy. Forced to watch a shell of himself harm, and at times, kill those he had come to care for or would have never wanted to do so to in the first place. The only person truly at fault here is not even in the series; that being Edward Carmine, for creating a device that probably violates more than what OSHA is concerned about. The series follows a theme of the power of resilience. Persisting in spite of the odds. Succeeding against adversity. Going to great lengths and trials to not only survive, but find a place to live. Which is why I chose this song for this series:
youtube
"I am flesh and I am bone Rise up, ting-ting, like glitter and gold I've got fire in my soul Rise up, ting-ting, like glitter Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter and gold Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter
Do you walk in the valley of kings? Do you walk in the shadow of men Who sold their lives for a dream? Do you ponder the manner of things In the dark? The dark, the dark, the dark
I am flesh and I am bone I'll rise, ting-ting, like glitter and gold I've got fire in my soul Rise up, ting-ting, like glitter Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter and gold Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter
Do you walk in the meadow of spring? Do you talk to the animals? Do you hold their lives from a string? Do you ponder the manner of things In the dark? The dark, the dark, the dark
I am flesh and I am bone I'll rise, ting-ting, like glitter and gold I've got fire in my soul Rise up, ting-ting, like glitter I am flesh and I am bone I'll rise, ting-ting, like glitter and gold I've got fire in my soul Rise up, ting-ting, like glitter
'Cause everybody in the backroom's spinnin' out Don't remember what you're asking for And everybody in the front room's trippin' out You left your bottle at the door
'Cause everybody in the backroom's spinnin' out Don't remember what you're asking for And everybody in the front room's trippin' out You left your bottle at the door
I am flesh and I am bone I'll rise, ting-ting, like glitter and gold I've got fire in my soul Rise up, ting-ting, like glitter Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter and gold Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter and gold Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah Like glitter."
Here are Last Line/s for three WIPs from my Fallout series A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore. Each are labelled down below:
THE WATERS OF LIFE FLOW (FALLOUT 3)
His red lenses constricted as he focused on the super mutants patrolling the fortress. If the Vault-Tec data was to be considered correct, Vault 87 was in the heart of the lions den. Ore stood up, huffing out his breathing valve as his knees made a sickening creak. He stretched in preparation for his one-man assault, outstretching a palm to feel the nuclear residue of radiation through his palms.
He hummed in satisfaction as he felt the fatigue drift away from the exposure, far more alert and energized. Flame started to spark in his palms, summoning his fire so he may weld it into a more effective weapon against the FEV rejects he would - what was the word Ress used? "Pulverize"? Yeah, that's it - would enjoy pulverizing to cinders.
THE HOUSE ON TOP (FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS)
Her gaze shifted to the only man who was distinct compared to the group he lead. His ugly checkered suit hurt her retinas, just as his smug confidence enraged her. She wanted to break it, but Ryder settled with giving the man a silent glare as she continued to dig her own grave with bound hands.
WHAT HAPPENED TO VAULT NUMBER 76? (FALLOUT 76)
In spite of being enamored by the surge of energy that intoxicated his senses, the Matthias did share his own agreement with his venn's grim words; something changed in this world. A defilement to its nature, though healing from wounds that occurred long since they both last visited, can still be felt in the present. The drunken haze of atomic residue which threatened to become absorbed in Talos' material body was all he needed to know that an unnatural shift took place.
He glanced to his fellow traveler, his closest venn, and noticed a spark in the crevices of his eyes; blazing rings that looped around their orbs with a fury he had not seen in the Arcane Urias since his only loss to a fellow venn a decamillennium ago. Talos could tell Urias held an unsatisfied opinion on this unexpected change, but his offense to it was interfering with the focus he needed kept on his disguise. Talos would have to interfere, less they be found out as inhuman.
Not that there would be any significant consequence a humanite could inflict upon them should they be found out. Fragility was merely a concept to the Matthias and the Arcane, unburdened by the weakness that haunted the "dominant" species of this world.
And lastly a meme for the four main characters of my Wings And Horns WIP. Now to explain, they aren't technically a found family/group (at least, not when the pairs are together), they just happen to run in to each other so many times. Metatron and Azriel are partnered up to work together to preserve the Soulmate System, with Azriel supposed to be nothing more than a cadet aiding the Archangel, while with Xiang and Jezebel, Xiang is a demon from the Sloth Ring of Hell, who had adopted Jezebel, whose a Sinner's Soul of a damned girl (for unjustified reasons no less). These two pairs are in fact rivals in their opposing missions to protect and break the Soulmate System respectively.

VegasPete fic idea time!
I might write this. I might not. If it gets you inspired, feel free to grab it and write it yourself, I’d love to read it! 😁
So, the minor family coup never happened. Vegas and Pete still somehow managed to get their shit together and, well, get together. Don’t ask how. It involved a lot of shouting, crying and angry fucking.
Anyway, Pete doesn’t leave the main family for Vegas. At least not yet. He’s considered it, but hasn’t brought it up yet.
Also Vegas is the head of the minor family now, after Gun’s death in a very unfortunate car accident caused by someone cutting his brake cables. (What a tragedy, Vegas said, sipping his red wine. Unfortunately, the CCTV footage from the garage seems to be missing, so we’ll never find out who did it.) Since the coup never happened, Korn couldn’t really find a good reason not to make Vegas the leader, at least not a reason that would still let him keep Vegas as an asset - because let’s face it, it’s better to have a homicidal maniac on your side than actively working against you, and killing him feels to be a bit, well, overkill.
Unsurprisingly, VegasPete are trying to keep their relationship a secret. I mean, the head of main family’s security getting railed by the head of the minor family? No one can know. (Macau knows, obviously, but he’s happy for his hia and definitely won’t tell anyone. Porsche knows, too, but hopes that if he ignores it for long enough, it’ll just go away on its own.) Though it doesn’t look like they’re trying to keep it a secret, with Vegas requesting Pete’s “assistance” at least two times a week (”I need the BEST, Kinn, I don’t want your second-rate idiots!”) and sneaking into Pete’s room whenever he happens to be in the main family compound (causing massive alarm on at least three separate occassions).
They go on missions together. They make a truly perfect team. Seeing Pete all murderous makes Vegas incredibly horny, and also makes him fall in love over and over again, every time he witnesses Pete kill someone without the slightest bit of hesitation. It doesn’t help that with other people around, Pete’s all sweet smiles and Khun Wegath, making Vegas want to just kiss him and let everyone know that Pete belongs to him and only him, to make Pete the second leader of the minor family, to let him sit by Vegas’ side at meetings... But Pete wants to keep their relationship a secret, and for him, Vegas will gladly protect the secret until the day he dies.
And then a mission goes wrong. Vegas gets shot. He tumbles to the ground right in front of Pete’s eyes, clutching his chest, blood seeping through his shirt...
And Pete goes berserk. He kills everyone standing in his way. No one is allowed to survive. They will pay for hurting his Vegas. A part of his brain is yelling at him to fuck it, to go to Vegas’ side, but the part of him that wants to kill them all and possibly set the whole fucking building on fire wins.
Only when everyone is down and everything is quiet does Pete fall onto his knees by Vegas, Vegas who’s staring at him with his eyes wide open, unable to speak, barely able to breathe... Arm is saying something to Pete, something about help being on its way, but Pete doesn’t listen, he just holds Vegas’ bloodied hand and keeps murmuring stay with me, please, Vegas, stay with me, don’t you dare die, I can’t lose you, can’t live without you, Vegas, please, I love you...
And even though Arm and Pol are the only ones who hear this, and they would forget all about it if Pete asked, Pete doesn’t ask. He doesn’t care about people knowing anymore. He only cares about not leaving Vegas’ side ever again.
It’s a big scandal, obviously. Tankhun screaming about betrayal, Kinn staring with his mouth hanging open, Korn very sternly asking Chan how did they not know about this. (To be fair, Chan might have been neglecting his duties a bit since he got together with Big who totally, absolutely miraculously survived in this universe.) Bodyguards cheering outside the room when Pete resigns, saying he wants to follow his heart. Big laughing his ass off because Pete, aka Mr. Perfect Bodyguard, has been fraternizing with the enemy for months.
Vegas survives, obviously, and makes a full recovery. And yes, he gets to lead the minor family with Pete by his side, and Pete only ever calls him Wegath now, and yeah, Vegas still falls in love over and over again every time Pete gets that murderous glint in his eyes.
If dealing with Vegas himself was hard for the main family, dealing with VegasPete is a nightmare. But Pete is happy, and it looks like he keeps Vegas calmer and more grounded, and they are a great and very effective team, so no one really says anything against the relationship, not even when they catch them fucking in a bathroom, some bedroom, or (on one memorable occassion) in Kinn’s pool when they’re done with a meeting.
And if, a few months later, Korn unfortunately dies in a car accident caused by someone cutting his break cables, and the CCTV footage from the garage happens to be missing... Well, what a tragedy, Vegas sighs, sipping his red wine, and exchanges a knowing glance with his beloved, smiling husband.

Don't Think About Vegas' Dog Bowl
for @guzhu-furen because they are in their vegas feels and it is literally just the 2nd day of January
tags: explicit, rough oral sex, spitting, slight pet play?
don't think about vegas' dog bowl and how he shoves your face into it, making it difficult for you to breathe as the water in it gets into your nose...his grip on your neck is bruising and his other hand is pulling your hair mercilessly...you struggle against his hold and the water in the bowl splashes everywhere
don't think about how he yanks your head up from the bowl with the hand fisted in your hair and brings his face dangerously close to yours and says, "what a mess you've made; the floor's wet, and the water landed on my pants too. how do you plan to clean it, hm? you need to be tamed, you need to be taught how to behave." ...and how this makes your skin tingle and gives you goosebumps...vegas giving you attention and addressing you directly makes your mouth salivate and you are suddenly aware of the pulse throbbing in your neck
don't think about how he drags you across the floor by the collar around your neck as he plants himself on a big comfortable chair...you sit kneeling between his legs, your hands are tied but there's something wild in your eyes that vegas seeks to tame...he takes off his pants and underwear and shoves your face into his crotch the same way he had done earlier with the dog bowl...you are not surprised by the violence of it but you didn't get time to prepare yourself and now you have your nose buried in his pubes and your mouth against his growing erection...you try to breathe through your mouth and all it does it send hot blows of air to the girth trapped between your lips...you hear vegas moan...he increases the pressure on your neck and twists his other hand in your hair...it hurts and your try to scream....but it comes out muffled...sending vibrations to the cock in your parted mouth
don't think about how he pulls your face off his crotch and looks into your eyes while stroking himself to be fully hard...he slaps your cheek with his hard cock, smearing precome on it and he does again and again...you open your mouth to protest but the next cock slap hits your lower teeth and it sends pain shooting up your head...you close your eyes to bring yourself together but get no time for it as your open mouth is filled with cock...vegas uses the hand still fisted in your hair to bob your head on his cock at his desired pace...your nose keeps hitting his pubes and it tickles and you can't help take in a deep breath whenever you get close to it....you want to lick it and taste it and gently bite at the soft, sensitive skin under his hair...you get distracted by your own wants and forget that you are not closing your mouth completely around his cock...you take your tongue out and drag it trying to lick his balls while heavily breathing in his musk...you don't realise that your mouth is going dry with all the air that's going into your mouth and that vegas is pissed about it
don't think about how vegas yanks your head off his cock and says, "your mouth's dry, you should have drunk the water i gave you in the bowl rather than wasting it. your dry mouth is not gonna work for me." ...you see his jaw moving behind his closed lips...he shoves two fingers in your mouth....he widens his fingers between your teeth to hold your mouth open...and then he bring his lips close to yours, parts them and spits into your mouth...he moves back with a smug look on his face and says, "that should help you glide your mouth on my cock." and then he shuts your mouth and spits on your lips..."for good measure" he says...and before you know it you're gagging on his cock as he sets a punishing pace fucking into your mouth...you concentrate this time and your own spit and drool make the ride smooth but not any easier...vegas comes in your mouth and you have no choice but to swallow around his cock...making sure you do not leave a mess
don't think about how vegas is panting sitting back in his chair, eyes closed, sweat making his hair stick to his forehead with a small smile on his lips....he finally releases his hold on you and you sit back on your heels between his legs....you look at him and say, "that was nice"... he looks into your eyes and says, "that wasn't the fucking plan"...both of you can't help but burst into a small fit of laughter..."you should tame me more" you say...."you're a good pet...i'll keep you around" he replies
*******
my other Don't Think About... write ups are on AO3 <3 and on tumblr as well! i'll put this one up there too i'm too tired now

The DLCs of New Vegas and Their Philosophical Importance in the Order of Release Date
Looks like September has brought about a fervor for New Vegas and this will be one of my entries to add to the pile. Some of this information is loosely based upon the actual game and in areas where interpretation is left up the the player, I did take some liberties. Overall this is just for entertainment and shouldn’t be used as definitive evidence for what exactly happened between these DLCs.
In New Vegas, the DLCs become the defining points of the game. They are designed to teach a lesson to the courier and hence the player about “what to do now?” In the post-apocalyptic wasteland. These DLCs are packed with philosophical takes and messages that vary depending on the type of person the player is or the future they have chosen for New Vegas. Here, I dive into the philosophical identities of the main factions and important individuals through the DLCs that connect back to ideology and plot. By no means is this a perfect explanation. I keep some parts vague that are supposed to be left up to the courier’s actions. However, this is to be used as a mental guide for the driving factors behind characters and the major messages one is to learn.
P.S. on each dlc section the main character’s past will be in chronological order as best as it happened to my knowledge as not everything has exact dates.
Dead Money:
The worst dlc in terms of gameplay but also has the most long standing message to relay back to real life and the main game.
Dead money follows the story of father Elijah. And Veronica and Christine. Elijah was a terrible elder in the BOS and with such left during a loss to the NCR in 2276 at Operation: Sunburst during the Brotherhood war (his next in line McNamara took over and they were weakened by this point so they went underground). Elijah then became obsessed with finding ways to destroy the NCR and in the process took his pupil (Veronica) away from Christine and when Christine (on a mission to kill him BOS orders) tracked him down finding tech in the Big MT (locked her away where she suffered brain damage from the testing the labs did).
He stumbles upon the Big MT during his travels in which he experiments on the Yangtze prisoners with explosive collars and beefing up his plan and defenses before going to the Sierra Madre in which he learned the location from Ulysses. He returns to the Think Tank after being captured upon his first entry (and escaping) and damages the robots to take control of the train network in order to escape. Which he does.
HERE IS WHERE THE STORY LINE CONJOINS
during this time another force Ulysses (spoken about more in later DLCs.) who was traveling to hunt the courier and find the past secrets of America and re awaken the old world to rise as a new home, a new power, saw this conflict. He points Elijah to the Sierra Madre and it’s hidden treasures which he hopes will kill the former Paladin and saved Christine to learn about the BoS which he realized was weak.
He then spoke to the Think Tank and challenged them to remember America. When they remembered a glimpse of the old world and what they fought for, they gave Ulysses instructions to return to the divide as “the voice of the old world” was left in the untouched missiles that had the power to reshape America through destruction much like the courier had done to his divide when they passed a package through the region containing middle codes that activated some missiles and mostly destroyed the place he called home and the place the though could become more powerful that the bull or bear.
Dead money focus on the ideas of letting go. Characters who can’t let go of goals or the past. Take Dean domino, still wanting to hold onto Vera Keys who was dead to her own disease and hand at the depression of being captured in the casino by the operator of the casino who was obsessed with her. He also is still determined to find what Sinclair kept hidden away in the vaults. Long after it would have mattered with the end of the world. Christine is obsessed with killing Elijah even though his lost ideals will lead to his death by the courier anyways. Much like how the operator of the casino was obsessed with keeping Vera locked away.
The courier has to also let go of the treasure they had found. The gold. They must let go of it and this is the most straightforward message. Caesar wants an idealistic society but when when he gets cancer, he can’t let go. House wants a idealistic old world society that he can never let go of (hence the strip)
It answers the question of “this is what I think is best for the post apocalyptic wasteland” and how most of it is just people clinging into a past victory or experience. (History would be Caesar and Joshua teaching the Blackfoot and beginning to take tribes over and becoming power blind.)
The NCR clinging to the constitutional law and pushing people who are just surviving in the wastes out via taxes and old world political ideals. This is also under the same message.
And of course, Elijah, he’ll best on power and controlling the Mohave to lead the brotherhood to victory, ultimately nearly destroyed his own people and went mad for the “power” of the Sierra Madre. Thinking he can make food from the vending machines and what not to build a new society where he can take over the Mohave (he begins to forget his brotherhood ideals.)
The gold in the vault is not that useful but it proves that this endless search for one’s own power was unfruitful. That even if they had seen the “gold” they would not be able to bring it back. AKA put there ideals in place.
Honest hearts
The story of the Malpais legate.
A new cannanite who joined the followers to spread his Mormon religion. Joined by Calhoun and Sallow. They were then held for ransom by the Blackfoot tribe along their pilgrimage and Edward Sallow trained them to use weapons because he was super smart and read books as a linguist and taught them to fight like Romans. Sallow become the leader of the Blackfoot tribe with Joshua as his first Legate. He takes the name Caesar and becomes mad with power as he makes his newly formed legion stronger soon after. It is during this time that he begins to take over the 87 tribes within a rough timeframe of like 25-30 years. He then spread to overtaking the NCR who had found the Hoover dam and wanted it for power as they spread throughout the region to establish rule. With five reports on killing Graham, the legion still held strong.
During this battle, the NCR managed to lure the legions more experienced legates and such into Boulder City where they were detonated. These legion individuals were under Joshua’s command.
Caesar (sallow) did not tolerate the loss of Hoover dam, he threw Joshua over the Grand Canyon covered in kerosene after the first battle.
But he lived. He states he found his faith again and lost the pride that Caesar had blinded him with. Even though his religion moves him to forgive Caesar, he still would easily strike down his followers while in new Canaan (his home)
That is until Caesar sends fourth Ulysses. For he brings the White Legs that he trained to destroy his home. In which Daniel (a missionary) and a few survivors including Graham would move to Zion and assume power amongst the sorrows and dead horses.
Graham’s story is one of redemption and blind revenge. He doesn’t know what the right course of action is anymore. He just has blind rage towards the Legion and now Caesar again. His story is heavily impacted by what happens to the leader of the White Legs when they are sent to hunt down Graham and the tribes in Zion.
Walking Cloud’s story is much of the same with Daniel trying to curb her rage by hiding her husband’s death. It’s like a microcosm of what’s to come with Joshua.
He has to grow as a person and realize that blind revenge will only sabotage his faith and morals and make him no better than the idealism that surround Caesar and the others like Elijah and House. His whole story is dependent on the helping of others and learning to assist rather than to take over or have full forgiveness to bad people or have blind rage. He must find a centre. A balance.
Old world blues
The story of a society stuck on loop.
The scientists in the big empty cannot accept the new world. They keep making new inventions for the old world which are fruitless, futile, and harmful to others. It is through this that following an ideology without change or recognition becomes dangerous. When Ulysses poses the question of them knowing their own history, it causes them, forces them, to remember their own past and what they have done. It ties together the main factions as well. Are all the main factions doing is forming a idealogical society that doesn’t reflect the views of the new world? Are they all just stuck on loop to try to create their own perfect vision which in the end will fail?
Each scientist also struggles to connect themselves to their more human form and loose empathy and compassion. They lose their humanity when the courier and Ulysses find them. Going as far as to trap a human away for experiments that will go nowhere (Christine).
In the end, these scientists have to find their humanity and use their tech to help the wastes instead of hiding it away (like the BOS to a extent) they have lost the connection to what it means to be a scientist and to help others as they shut themselves away and refused to acknowledge the new world as well, much like mr. House.
Mobius breaks free of the constant science that the Think Tank is up to and attempts to stop them from possibly hurting the wasteland. He also destroyed the data to the memories of the old world for the other scientists in a attempt to stop them from destroying the world with their science again.
In the process he ends up shutting the Big MT off from the rest of the wasteland with a barrier and shuts himself off with robo-scorpions he built. He left the Think Tank and made sure that the scientists would be too scared to leave by sending false messages to them and making them fear creating new technologies.
But when Elijah, Ulysses and others arrive, the Think Tank tries to push further to escape Mobius’s plans. By this point his own ideals had begun to deteriorate due to his use of chems and he had begun to go mad with the robo-scorpions and looses his own sight of fighting for the wasteland.
The courier then must confront him upon their own arrival and help the Think Tank and Mobius understand the world outside the Big MT and to stop loosing sight of the science that could save the wasteland and to stop living in a loop of the past from trauma.
Lonesome road
In my opinion the most confusing dlc
Ulysses’ tribe is destroyed by Caesar and his home with the twisted hairs (Dry Wells) was taken over by Vulpes who betrayed Ulysses by killing his group instead of working with them and Ulysses was forced under the Legion flag. He served as a nondescript courier for the Legion during this time as well and became a very powerful spy asset to Caesar.
It is also at this point we learn that it was him who discovered the Hoover Dam. Causing Caesar to go mad with the idea of it.
When Caesar became obsessed with the dam, Ulysses could not stop him. Even though he knew it would kill Caesar. Ulysses had seen how far Caesar would go to take the dam when he witnessed the burning of the Malpais legate.
Upon exploring the wastes for Caesar, he found the Divide and due to the destruction of his own tribe, saw it as a home for himself. He thought it could be better than the legion or the NCR. He stayed for a short time and wanted to use it to out think the Legion. However it was then taken over by the NCR while he worked for the Legion and while he was not there to protect The Divide (nor could he save it single-handedly) the Legion then sent supplies to take The Divide over. Placing legion soldiers and NCR soldiers within the town at once.
This is when the courier unknowingly brings a NCR package from Navarro containing launch codes for the missiles that lay under The Divide. This would lead to the bomb going off after the courier left and destroying The Divide and NCR and legion within (making them into the marked men. Filled with hatred with their factions for abandoning them).
Ulysses nearly died but was saved by medical Eyebots. Who were activated with the bombs. They believe he was a pre war soldier with the American flag on his back.
He blamed the courier and returned to the only man who accepted him, Caesar, in 2277 after the loss at Hoover Dam. This is where he would witness the burning of Joshua. (He was not actively in the Legion while the first battle happened).
When Caesar learned that Graham had lived, he sent Ulysses out after him along with the White Legs. This would be his last mission for Caesar as he left soon after to better himself and reawaken the history of America. During this time he took a temporary break as a big Horner farmer and a courier.
Later on, he found about about the old world technology in the big empty and travelled there. He followed the irregular weather patterns from The Divide to the Big MT in which he used the geographical maps there at the weather station to map out where he would build his base back at the divide later on where he wanted to face the courier.
This is where he meets Elijah and Christine.
During his time as a courier, so a bit in the past before meeting Christine and Elijah, when he was retired as a bighorn farmer, he was hired to carry the platinum chip. But when he saw the couriers name on the list he told Nash that they should carry it instead as he wanted to see the courier dead on this important mission for destroying The Divide. He thought the wasteland would kill the courier instead of him having to himself.
When the courier survived Benny and the Khans. He vowed to bring the courier to him in The Divide.
When the courier is in The Divide, they are forced to walk the lonesome road and go through the travels and horrors that Ulysses had to go through when The Divide was destroyed and in the end, the courier is faced with Ulysses wanting to destroy the Mohave and deciding to make him see the light with the couriers faction or killing him.
Ulysses can also be forced to accept that it is these individual people that hold the new world together and that the old world and it’s pointless to murder all who wave the flag of the bear and bull. An important development in the concept of him “letting go” of the old world and his idea of a home. His idea of building up something as great as the old world once was. Ulysses is still a man. He’s still idealistic in that he wants to form his own home. One based in old world values with new world truths and while the divide seems like a decent plan for him, he soon falls victim to blind rage for the NCR and Legion. Yes, they both help to destroy his home, but in turn, he becomes just as violent as they were to him. Which removes him from this new independent plan and sends him spiraling into only removing the ideologies of the bear and Bull.
(He also makes it very clear that even a independent Vegas would fail under house and maybe even under the courier. So this part is truly left to the couriers own faction.)
This dlc is all about the importance of home. And that it may not be the place where you were born. It also touches on how to move on from a home. Moving on from idealistic ideas out in place by factions as well. Seeing the world for what it is and truly being alone.
Another important character here is the copy of ED-E who has been created by the Enclave by a doctor with good morals and who didn’t want to see his tech harmed (Whitley) and he sent this ED-E to navarro not knowing it had fallen to NCR forces. This Ed-e contained more logs on Enclave scientist Dr Whitley than the original does after the original was damaged but both contained lost information on the Enclave that Whitley had sent out to try to send to other parts of the Enclave. However the original was taken down near Primm. The copy had data downloaded from the original ED-E upon the courier entering the divide.
This is just important as it established another character desperately searching for navarro even though it has fallen. With the hollow words of its old master and a goal (much like houses, Caesars, and Elijah’s) that can never be accomplished.
Overall, idealistic societies are formed off of the opinions of the few. These societies falter as we reduce them to just a namesake. A flag. There are people within these flags, caught up within the ideals of their leaders and rulers. Even Ulysses becomes blind to his own former goals of a community of people working together without a flag. A home. Until those individual people are recognized, until they, the small groups that lie among the Mojave, the tribes and those in towns like the divide before it’s destruction, are recognized as part of the world they inhabit instead of just ideals of their masters and gods….war never changes.

this is a cold ass take but not one I’ve seen around in my online circles, but the scooby-doo reboot has me thinking about how like. I feel like a big part of why it feels like fandom doesn’t last as long anymore is that we’re just constantly getting reboots and sequels of the same 3 things over and over.
and you’d think, wouldn’t that make the fandom last longer? and sure…. for those same 3 things. but like. it makes me think that a vast majority of people look at media and go “if it’s not actively putting out content, then it’s dead” when for so long, fandom around stuff would last for DECADES after a series had ended.
like, nobody lets anything sit and breathe anymore. and it’s exhausting.
and I get that the reason WHY we keep getting reboots and sequels is bc execs are scared to put money into anything new when this old title would immediately have a payoff bc it’s familiar to people. but that doesn’t make it any less depressing. in fact, it makes it MORE depressing, but nobody needs me to explain why.
I just wish people would stop beating dead horses. it’s not worth it, because it will so easily become forgettable when you just keep rehashing the same things, same settings, same characters over and over.

i love kp but sometimes i am just so disappointed by it like it could have had some great writing and focused on “how much are your morals really worth” and expanded on the so many of the characters struggles and storylines but the writers were just like “no i really want to make porsche so ooc and give no real backing to the his thoughts as he changes” like porsche was hurting a lot of people he cared about while trying to help them and they could have put focus on that but no silly mystery that makes no sense is priority because it shows how much kinn and porsche are connected (familial that is x)

Please, I'm very curious about No One's Safe At Home and What Happened To Vault 76? 😃
Ah yes, I'm glad those two have caught your attention.
What Happened To Vault 76? is a Fallout 76 fic that is the fifth installment of the A Radioactive Calamity of Love, Bombs & Gore series, but technically the prequel which predates the other five fics.
Essentially, a Resident of Vault 76, Vega, sleeps in and misses out on everyone entering the world after the bombs dropped 25 years beforehand. After Vega leaves the vault, Vega learns that she was left behind on purpose, because for a lack of better words, she's the worst. Vega takes offense to this "treachery" and decides to go out and hunt down her fellow residents as well as Vault 76's Overseer (who she develops a rather cringe unhealthy obsession over). The Scorched and the raiders hardly phase Vega, nor do the super mutants. However, she does bump into two odd strangers; Matthias "Mason" Talos and his brother, Arcane Urias. They're odd because the Scorch doesn't seem to affect them like it does everyone else, and there's also the fact of their inhuman strength and off human appearance. But Vega takes the opportunity to gaslight, gatekeep and manipulate these guys into helping her kill the rest of her former compatriots. On the trio's journey, Mason gets more skeptical of Vega's word, but Urias takes an awful lot of interest in the Scorched and its origin. That's all I got for now.
However, No One's Safe At Home is a Welcome To The Game franchise fic apart of The Silver Chronicles. It's essentially the origin story for an OC of mine, a key character in La Última En Pie and Old Dusk (two Silva Omar centered fics), named Gavin Turquoise.
In the Silva centered fics, Gavin is a lawyer with connections to the criminal underworld, but not because he works for them, merely because he monitors who he wants to put away for good. Anyway, in No One's Safe At Home, it reveals that before Gavin was a lawyer, he was a former benefactor of shady organizations turned vigilante who got sick of the injustice that the worst people alive kept getting away with, especially after his little nephew (who Gavin had personally became a male role model to) was taken by said people, and started hunting them down. He found two connections between all of them; The Dark Web, and an organization called "the Ministry". So Gavin made it his life long mission to wipe these people off the face of the Earth. Not only to avenge his nephew, but also so Gavin can rig the "Game" in his favor, take the benefits of the power and rebuild this empire into something more honorable (as it has deviated so, so far from what it used to be).
In essence, this is like a revenge story where one of the benefactor's of the Dark Web is personally punched in the gut by the organization he helped rise up, taking away and likely killing his nephew (or worse) and now Gavin wants to get rid of the source of the stains that corrupt the vision he had for this empire and rebuild from the bloody foundations he'll leave behind. The story is also about Gavin choosing to get his revenge but not perpetuating the cycle by rebuilding an organization that's very nature is to cause misery to others, no matter how honorable he tries to make it.
In other words, Gavin kills the most disgusting and worst people to exist and it is so satisfying.
I've put together a bit of the beginning of the fic down below:
Vigorously tapping on the keyboard, he shifted his attention to the time and date at the bottom right corner.
3:17 AM... 23rd of October... only seven more days left.
While the contents of the Red Room held no value to him, tracking the livestream would allow the location to be given away. Give him an ample opportunity take another sick fuck off the list.
He just had to go deeper.
Moving to browse on another degenerate site, Gavin paused. He glanced to the bottom right corner once more, attention caught by the white arrow next to the wifi indicator.
A GPS tracker, he recognized, How long had THAT been there?
Without wasting any more time, Gavin pushed himself out of the chair and reached to turn the computer's power off. But he stopped, thinking it over.
On second thought... I do have an opportunity here.
Gavin moved away from the computer, and walked over to the light switch, flicking it off. Darkness embraced the room, with the only light bathing inside this void coming from his computer screen.
Gavin brought out a hiking pack, placing it on the chair, and moved to the other side of the room, hand reaching for his most effective tool, eyes on the window.
He waited in bated breath, back against the wall as he waited for the window to inevitably open. He listened out of the cues he had honed himself to recognize for the past twenty-three days; the soft knocks, the footsteps on gravel, and even tugging up the windows.
Gavin's adversary did not know his identity yet; if he had, Gavin was sure he'd stop being lured out to the same neighborhood for the past twenty-three days.
From what Gavin overheard between Miss Lydia and Mr. Adam's call, Gavin's tracker didn't have a known name. Simply referred to as "the Kidnapper". Though creativity was lacking, the crimes were quite horrific. A masked man from Russia with ties to a sex trafficking ring, kidnapping women to subject them to horrors hidden from the law's eye.
He hears low grumbling. Gavin watches as the silhouette of the monster himself shadowed the moonlight, the dreadful figure of a beast shaped as a human. Gloved hands as black as the empty caverns that should house his soul, hands that have ripped innocent women in the wake of night away from their lives, gripping the window and dragging it up, up, up.
Gavin wasn't idealistic; he knew if he killed this man, it wouldn't hinder the trafficking ring in the slightest. But Gavin was sure of two things; one less woman will be awake and afraid at night, and one less monster would be walking amongst society. And Gavin was going to take so much satisfaction from this.
