I’ve never had many friends, I wasn’t popular as a child, and it may have bothered me for a short period of time, but not much. I was always a loner and enjoyed the company of few friends. • • It hadn’t been conspicuous decision at first, I just figured I wasn’t that person that had tuns of friends. But with time I learned the true value of the ones I did have, and how precious they were. • • I’ve also never been one to celebrate my birthday... it’s always seemed silly and awkward to me. I didn’t like all the fuss and attention. But I am lucky to have friends that care enough about it more than I do. • • Last week I celebrated my 30th birthday, and I had no intention of making a big deal out of it. But I’ve found some extremely amazing friends, who wouldn’t take no for an answer. • • Throughout the day of my birthday, I’ve been asked what I am thankful for. And there are so many things, but the one thing that stands out the most (besides my incredible family of course), especially in these crazy times are my best friends - who’ve been in my life and stuck by my side since we were teens. • • Words aren’t sufficient enough to describe how grateful I am and how extremely fortunate I feel to have them in my life. I may not have a huge group of friends, but the ones I do have are worth more than gold, diamonds or anything else. • • One of the things that scares me the most, is getting old... but when I think of the amazing people I’m surrounded by, I feel that much better. I am comforted by the thought of my friends and I in an old age home passing the time together. • • So I would like to take advantage of this platform to thank them from the bottom of my heart and soul - life wouldn’t be the same without you. • • • How about you? I can’t believe this day has come... it will definitely take me a while to get used to, but I shave officially wrapped up my 20’s and started my 30’s. • • I have so much to say about this transition, but I’ll leave that to tomorrow’s update along with my new blog post. • • For now I will just like to share with you these veeeery old pictures from the very beginning of Instagram, back in January 2012 when I was only 22. • • Also I would like to share what I am thankful for, especially in these crazy times...
