there's no reason for nettles to be cut. the only reason she's not in s2 is because they want to milk "daemyra" as much as possible and don't care about sacrificing the only canonically black character to make the main white couple look good.

it's bullshit. they do shit like this and then claim to be "progressive" ? including black character only to turn them into side kicks for the main white characters and mistreat them is not progressive. why are baela and rhaena sidelined for the strongs? in f&b they're more important. why is laena turned into the "unloved wife"? second to rhaenyra? why is vaemond framed as the villain for being angry that his home is being robbed by a white boy?

and now we have a shot of all of the dragonseeds - except nettles, the only important dragonseed. and when you try to complain the stans hit you with the "but there are other black characters" card. they say that "race doesn't exist in westeros" (LMAO) to excuse and justify luke being the heir and pretend like there's nothing problematic with a white person stealing a black family's home. they also use the "no race" card to justify nettles being erased or downplay her importance. the gaslighting and racist undertones are actually crazy.

Thank you. I do try and try my best not to come off like a crazy person talking at a wall, but this fandom and this show are nuts and severely anti-Black.

I won’t say it’s worse than other fandoms, but admitting there is a problem is like pulling teeth.

You have people blatantly lie and pretend like their headcanons are actual canon which is extremely disturbing when it comes to the Black(ish) characters because those headcanons are made to take away their characterization.

There is only so much one can ignore without disregarding their self pride.

As far as the showrunners go I will say I don’t think they are trying to prop up that ghost ship because they wouldn’t have added choke-gate if they had any intention of turning Dumbnyra(I’m not respecting a ship populated by people who think it's fine to call Black characters the n-word) into an epic romance, but they are trying to hold off on putting Nettles on the show because she makes said self-insert look bad and they can’t have that.

Yet they know cutting her looks suspect considering their past actions.

They think diversity = having Black(ish) people there never mind lighting them on fire, sidling them, turning them into an undisputed villain, turning them into stereotypes, etc., and unfortunately they’ve emboldened an extremely racist and toxic fanbase with their (in)action(s).

Laena was deliberately made into the disposable Black girlfriend, but no one cared about that. No one cared about how that looked or how Black fans would feel with that being our representation. How it's harmful and damaging to see that play out time and time again. They cheered it on and called her slurs while doing so.

Now I’ve seen people claim to be concerned about Nettles and her being made into a mistress and yes there are problems with showing a Black woman as a mistress, but there are just as many if not more problems with showing a Black(ish) woman as someone’s second choice or showing us as undesirable. Not a peep was said about the latter.

The same people who are so concerned(I see y’all in her tag) are the same people who a couple of months ago were calling for Nettles to be cut and replaced with Baela and Rhaena or even Addam because they are all Black(ish) now. Never mind that Nettles’ story is vastly different from theirs.

That Nettles isn’t supposed to be indisputably Valyrian like the others(at least in the books her heritage is the least clear out of everyone present and in the show she still isn’t being claimed by anyone).

Never mind that she isn’t supposed to be Daemon's daughter(the dates don’t line up and I dare anyone to tell me they bathed naked with their father at 17; I dare anyone to say that someone who claimed a wild dragon with the highest body count during the sowing doesn’t know how to bathe herself).

Or that she isn’t just someone’s mistress(you don’t risk your life for a woman who is just your mistress).

That she isn’t an unloved unwanted woman despite who she is(Daemon chooses her. We can talk about how that isn’t “progressive” enough for some people although I’d argue that it’s progressive for a character like Nettles, but that’s what’s written in black and white).

That she’s saved and survives the Dance. She’s the only dragonseed that survives maybe even the last dragonrider for two hundred years. She certainly gains more than what she had(she becomes the spiritual leader of a tribe for God's sake). 

Is Nettles’ story perfect, no, but people are holding her, her arc, and her potential characterization in the show to an unhealthy standard that they would never hold a character like Rhaenyra, Daenerys, or an even Helaena to and basing whether they like her or not based on that standard.

They aren’t allowing her to be a nuanced character let alone someone with her wants and motivations who experiences love and loss alike.

Nettles' arc is as complex as every other character in this story, but people don’t want that. They don’t even want her there.

Never mind that she’s important to the narrative and there is a reason for her complexity, it’s her skin color they see. Her skin color is the only thing they see and therefore they fail to see her as someone deserving of her dynamic arc.

Instead they want the downtrodden girl. The abused girl. The poor orphan girl who is just grateful to have found a family. The girl who can easily be placed into a box and doesn’t need any analysis whatsoever.

A girl. She doesn’t need love because she’s a girl. She doesn’t need to have her own will and desires because she’s a girl. She’s a child. She’s not a nuisance. A box of gunpowder waiting to go off and change the narrative. She’s not a threat.

I’ve talked about this before(too many times), but that’s who they want.

They can’t have a Mammy that looks too obvious given the story, or Jezebel(I imagine that’s what they’ll say she is once she appears although they’ll look crazed trying to pigeon hole her into the slut category), and they know she most likely won’t be cut, so they settle for the non-threatening, sexless, naive(selectively intellectually challenged) child.

The show calls itself diverse and the fans claim themselves to be feminists, but that’s a joke and a slap in the face to Black fans who aren't self-haters (who the fandom has harassed anytime we don’t blindly agree with and call them out on their bullshit).

Black fans don’t want characters who look like us wrapped in bubble wrap with a pretty little bow on top. We want characters (in every sense of the word), but neither the showrunners nor the fans seem to get this(tale as old as time or at least it’s centuries old).

I started ranting I’m sorry anon, but Nettles tag has been a mess so I used this as an opportunity to voice my peace. It’s extremely disturbing that you have a bunch of non-Black people trying to police Black representation particularly representation for Black women, but at the end of the day what they have to say doesn’t matter.

i thought it wasn’t that bad but i’ve been really stressed and i’m the kind of person to eat less (or skip eating) because of stress/anxiety so i’ve lost like 5 pounds since then (making me like 94 when i was barely 99 before). i’m trying to gain it back so my health doesn’t deteriorate any further but i’m not really underweight either?? not only that but a lot of family members have been lost during this time that took a toll on me especially, as well as the pressure of studying and academics.

So, after a long conversation with super-powerful-queen-slaynna, whom you can thank for me sending this message, so like... if you like it good, if you don't blame them, I do want to apologize for assuming you were saying people can't talk about Destiel, its shippers and how much they dislike it in their group chats. That's what the post came off to me, as if you were policing what people could and couldn't say in these GC about Destiel. Slaynna made me realiza that you meant your post as a 1/2

warning to Destiel shippers who might wander into them. I understand this, because whenever a Destiel shipper follows me, I make it a point to warn them my blog might not be a positive space for them precisely to avoid this sort of unplesant interactions. It also came off as you were invalidating and dismissing the bad experiences people might have had with misbehaving Destiel shippers, which I'm sure you're nice enough NOT to do. My beef is really not with you, or Tink, or any other Destiel 2/?

meta writer, my beef is with shippers who are genuinely hateful and do hateful things. You simply came off as you didn't believe there are Destiel shippers who do these things at all. That say, I won't apologize for venting to like-minded people about my utter dislike for the ship, because we do in fact do that. But I don't think it's fair you walked in on us at that point and extrapolated that's all we do. BTW there is in fact an Anti-Destiel GC and the irony is, if you had walked into that 3/4

Okay, I’ll give you pointers for being bold enough to come explain this in my ask box, and I commend @super-powerful-queen-slayyna for reaching out to try to calm the stormy seas. I am most likely not going to make any further comments on that post anyway because it has blown out of control and has escalated into a full blown ship war post which I never wanted when I sent it. It’s now Destiel shippers and my friends trying to defend me or people blatantly calling me names and using unnecessary language which I am not even going to acknowledge or give the time of day as I don’t go in for that sort of childish name calling (unless you count my use of the word bronly but some things I think even we can agree are a necessary evil).

My post was a response to my own hurt and irritation at coming across two GCs, one for Sastiel, and one for Megstiel, which were both recommended to me by Tumblr, which were not tagged as anti-Destiel that I could see, that appeared on the surface to simply be places for people to discuss and squee over those ships. In both GCs I saw nothing but hate and lies and other upsetting comments about Destiel and Destiel shippers. It was extremely disheartening to see that in what on the surface appeared to be safe spaces. Because here’s the thing, these shipper GCs should be safe spaces. I have friends that are multishippers, that like Sastiel (and even the odd few who like Megstiel even though admittedly I don’t anymore.) There are plenty of other people out there in fandom that might like all three ships (I’d imagine those people simply want Cas to have all the love in which case SAME). 

To get one point very clear, I don’t actually care if people hate Destiel. I’m not going to preach to anyone about Destiel unless someone comes to me directly or comes scrolling my blog. I always tag Destiel so anyone who uses Tumblr blacklist should be able to avoid my blog completely. I would never intentionally go looking in an anti Destiel chat group. I’ve seen it all before anyway and it’s the same old arguments that really don’t affect my shipping preferences or my beliefs. 

What annoyed me was that those GCs were not anti Destiel chats. They were Megstiel and Sastiel chats. They were places where impressionable young Megstiel and Sastiel shippers could come across, who have zero feelings towards Destiel, and find themselves being told a bunch of lies and nasty crap about Destiel shippers and the ship. They are places where Destiel shippers who like to ship those other ships too might come across and suddenly find themselves isolated and alienated, which only perpetuates retaliation from those Destiel shippers and potentially causes the hate that you stress is so virulent among Destiel shippers to begin with.

My post was a warning for multishippers who are also Destiel shippers or at least Destiel friendly, that those GCs were being used to spread hate about Destiel. It was also an FYI to the people in those GCs that their hatred was very much public, in case they weren’t aware. I tagged the ships because I wanted people who ship Megstiel and Sastiel to see it, especially if they are Destiel friendly, because yeah, I’d want them to avoid those GCs.

Yes I then got snarky. I claimed that this does kinda prove a point because no Destiel GC that I’ve seen includes a bunch of hate and nastiness aimed at other ships. Sure, there is a high chance that there are hateful Destiel shippers out there. There are certainly a lot of bitter people on Twitter who piss me off when they scream queerbaiting at the writers so yes, of course there are bad eggs. I was shocked that from what I saw, there was no squee or shared theories or excitement about the ships, just page after page of hate aimed at Destiel shippers. So yes, perhaps I happened upon both convos right when those topics cropped up (which would be rather coincidental) and perhaps I had just missed the topics that I was interested in checking out - the theories, the meta, the spec... That’s what I was interested in. Since these GCs are a way to keep a finger on the pulse of what the fandom might be thinking in terms of the show and shipping and I was curious. Believe it or not I actually like to keep an open mind even though Megstiel is something that gives me a bad taste in my mouth ever since I sat myself down and truly thought about it. 

I generalised. I know I shouldn’t have done that, but those GC convos pissed me off. I don’t know a single Destiel shipper who would spend hours of their day just ranting about how awful Megstiel shippers are and how much they hate the pairing. I HAVE debated with friends about the suspected infiltration of the Megstiel ship by Bronlies who are using Meg to get Cas out of the way and to be spiteful towards Destiel shippers. This IS something that has been happening in recent years and I think even you admitted that in one of your replies to my post.

I also wasn’t trying to invalidate your experience with hate. I would never do that. The one thing I will say about anon hate in particular is that you don’t know who it is coming from. I occasionally get anon hate but I certainly don’t immediately assume it’s a w*ncest shipper just because I can’t stand w*ncest. Getting a message in your ask box that says “go kill yourself” is horrible, believe me, I know. But if that’s all it is, you can’t assume the sender was a shipper at all. Unless the message was “I ship Destiel and you can go kill yourself” you just can’t assume. If you have had actual Destiel shippers come and attack and threaten you and send you those messages directly then 1. I am so so sorry because no one deserves that kind of abuse, and 2. I hope you exposed them if you could. Because if there is one thing I have learnt about the Destiel shippers in MY circles, it’s that we find that kind of behaviour completely unacceptable and we WILL call it out from our own side if we see it. 

The reason I have such a high opinion of Destiel shippers being the “nice” people in fandom is simply because I have never seen that kind of behaviour from them. I interact with a lot of people. I have seen Destiel shippers get overly passionate, I have seen them get upset and angry when people lash out at them. I have seen them turn bitter and negative and go off on rants about the show. I have seen them dog pile on an anti’s post to provide evidence against a false claim “Kripke said he’s straight” and I thought it was a bit much... but it wasn’t hate. It was a reaction to years and years and years of being laughed at, called delusional, mocked and ridiculed by all other sides within the fandom. Destiel shippers are desperate for validation. They are desperate to disprove the lies. If people actually listened to us, or read the countless posts that have been written clearly providing evidence and sources to disprove every lie and false claim against Destiel perhaps we wouldn’t be so defensive. That’s what happens when you’ve been gaslighted for 11 years. 

But regardless, I’m not here to get involved in shipping wars. You’ll continue going on hating Destiel, and I will continue going on and, well, not hating, but very much disliking Megstiel in canon (though I have read some very sweet Destiel fics where Meg is Cas’s best friend and enjoyed the characterisations there.) 

My post was never to gatekeep and stop you from ranting about Destiel. Rant away to your hearts content. As I said above I really don’t care if people hate it. All I ask, is that you keep that kind of content in places that are clearly labelled as anti Destiel. So that should a Destiel shipper want to check out a Sastiel or a Megstiel GC, they can do, without feeling completely unwelcome and hated on just for enjoying Dean and Cas’s relationship as well. I really don’t think that’s too much to ask. All it takes is one tag right? Create your Megstiel GC and by all means rant about Destiel in it, but please just tag it as Anti Destiel.

Freshmen Year

“Jisung, can you come over please?”, you sniffled into the phone as soon as he answered. Rubbing the freshly dropped tears away from your cheeks, you heard him say a quick ‘yes!’ and hung up.

Hoping he would arrive soon, you cuddle yourself into your blankets, shoving your face into the soft pillow.

About 15 minutes later, you heard a sharp, quick knock at your door. Slowly making your way to it, you shivered at the cold hardwood floor.

Opening the front door, before you even had a glance of him, Jisung wrapped his arms around you, his taller frame engulfing you. Returning the hug, you breathed in, the smell of his cologne surrounding you, making you relax into his touch.

“Thank you, Ji-Ji,” your words were muffled from his shirt.

“Anything for you,” he smiled to himself as you two stood there for a few minutes, enjoying the warmth of the embrace.

Setting the multiple food items on the end of the bed, Jisung schooched himself under the warm covers and wrapped his arm around you, your head immediately falling onto his shoulder as he started your favorite television series.

“I wish we could do this more often; skip school and just hang out when either one of us is sad,” you quietly hummed out as you stuffed popcorn into your mouth.

“What about we make a pact?”, Jisung suggested.

“What kind of pact?”

“When one of us is not feeling well, the other goes to the person’s house and take care of them, like now. We can skip school, order food, watch movies, cuddle, and just chill.”

Nodding your head, you smiled as you shoveled more popcorn into your mouth, making Jisung snatch the bowl away from you, claiming you had already eaten more than half of it and he hadn’t had even one piece.

Giggling, you snuggled closer to him as you sat the bowl between the two of you.

A few hours later when you had finally calmed down, you called your older brother, asking if he could take you and Jisung to Walmart, knowing he had the day off from work and college because of the holidays coming up. After hearing him agree to it reluctantly, you smiled at Jisung and nodded, giving him the sign to start putting his shoes on.

Hearing your brother’s car honk not but 15 minutes later, you and Jisung flew out of the door and shouting “Shotgun!”, as you skidded to a halt in front of the door, hearing Jisung whine as he had to scootch in the back seat.

“Why are you two so loud?”, your brother, Johnny, complained, but you secretly knew he loved Jisung like a younger brother, not that he’d even admit it though.

“Just drive, you behemoth,” you turned on the radio, which immediately played Jisung and your’s favorite song.

Belching out the lyrics with your best friend, you nudged Johnny to join along, which he did after two nudges. Filling the car with your voices, you soon arrived at the destination.

Heading in with the two boys, you got a cart as you entered the store. Strolling around, you gathered snacks and drinks and other goods for the house, especially for your cat, Mini, who needed more cat treats and a new toy as you had broken it playing with her a few days ago.

“Hurry up,” Jisung whined, wanting to go to the gaming section.

“You can go there without me, Ji-Ji,” you chuckled, “I’ve got to pick out some things for Mini.”

“Fine,” he pouted, heading to the aisle by himself as you picked out Mini’s favorite goodies, even a special treat for her. Following Jisung’s pouting voice, you joined him in the games aisle.

“You are such a crybaby,” you giggled, spooking him as he must’ve not heard you.

“Am not!”, he yelled a little too loud, customers from different directions giving Jisung the eye and he pouted, sending them a small apology look for interrupting their shopping. “You are too, but I would not expect anything else from the kid Johnny and I always spoil, lord knows what Mark does for you,” you rolled your eyes as Jisung pouted once more.

“Like Johnny doesn’t do the same thing for you?”, Jisung scoffs jokingly. Shrugging in response, you scan through the numerous band new games that an employee was stacking.

Dragging Jisung with you along to the clothing aisle, you spotted an adorable animal onesie,  completely in love with it as you touched the soft fabric.

Jisung, chuckling next to you, told you to put it in the cart, knowing there was no way you would leave the store without it. Walking through the rest of the aisle, he saw a Jack Skellington onesie that captured his eye as he quickly looked for his size and tossed it into the cart.

Feeling a sharp buzz in the pocket of your joggers, you grabbed ahold of it, Johnny’s contact name appearing with “hurry up losers” accompanied with it. Giggling to yourself lightly, you told Jisung it was time to go check out as you turned the cart around.

Soon buying all of the items, Johnny dropped the pair of you off at your house along with everything you had bought, shouting to tell your mother that he’d be staying at Taeyong’s house tonight.

“Have fun, dweeb!”, you yelled as Johnny started to leave. Immediately retaliating, he held up the middle finger out of his window to you.

Unlocking the front door, you laid out the stuff onto your bedroom floor, separating food from other goods, putting the snacks you wanted to eat while watching movies onto the bed-side table.

As Jisung helped, you eyed the onesies and smiled, rushing to put it on as you just could not resist. Jisung didn’t hesitate either, tearing the tag off of his own onesie and speeding to your bathroom to change.

Both appearing in your room, you laughed at each other and flopping onto the bed as you tore open the different snacks and a drink. Snuggling closer to Jisung, you got comfortable and turning on your favorite movie, Coraline.

“Hey, I’ve got an idea,” Jisung spoke up, taking your attention away from the start of the movie, which you particularly did not care for.

“Hmm?”

“What about if one of is having a bad morning or day, we make a pact to stay at that person’s house, cuddling with snacks, our onesies, binge-watching movies and tv shows, and even Johnny or Mark taking us to Walmart, that is, until we get our own licenses.

“That might have just been the smartest thing you have ever thought of,” you giggled as Jisung faked another scoff.

“Ya, sure. So, what do you say?”

“Pact,” nodding your head eagerly and then putting your focus back onto the movie in front of you.

You could not have gotten any luckier than to get Jisung as your best friend.

Senior Year

The echoing of your parents loud argument sounded from their room, your immediate action was to pull your pillow over your ears to drown out your mother screaming at your father for something else he had done that she had not agreed with and your father screaming back as loud, and if possible even louder, as her that he is an adult, one that is capable of making his own decision while knowing the consequences.

In your mind, he certainly did not. He was careless, rude, and unapologetic to when he would blatantly lie to your mother, which deeply upset you.

Shedding your silent tears, your hand reached out to grab your phone and putting in Jisung’s emergency contact number, hoping he would pick up straight away as you wanted to continue to hide in the barriers of the pillow between you and the fighting.

“Hello?”, his morning voice was very present as you could tell he had just woken up.

“Ji, can I please come over? It’s happening again,” you whimpered into the phone.

“Yeah, yeah, of course!”, he quickly woke up, worry in his voice.

“Okay, I’ll be over in a few minutes,” you then hung up as you quickly grabbed a bag out of your closet, stuffing it with a pair of extra clothes, your onesie, your electronics and whatever else you could think of.

Swiping your phone and car keys off of your bedside table, you exited your room through your window. Thankfully, you had only had a one-story house so you wouldn’t have to worry about falling down.

Throwing the bag into the passenger side seat and sliding into your seat, you closed the door and quickly started it up, wanting to leave as soon as possible.

Backing out of the driveway, you hooked your phone up to the car’s Bluetooth, playing your favorite playlist so it would help calm you down.

Finally arriving to Jisung’s house, you turned off the car and grabbed your things, fleeing inside to find his room.

His door was opened wide, telling you to pass through with Jisung not far away.

Dropping the bag, you ran into his arms. Letting them envelop you, you sobbed into his chest. Resting his head on top of yours is thumbs drew circles into your back as he rocked you back-and-forth to calm you.

After 10 minutes, you reluctantly detached from him. His hand gently lifted from your back to your face, riding the tears away from your cheeks. Holding your face between his hands, he could feel his heart beating loudly. A pout graced your lips as he smiled carefully down at you.

The air thick with romantic tension, he cleared his throat and took you into his room where you both changed into the onesies you had bought 3 years ago, knowing today was going to be most-likely spent in his comfortable bed.

Crawling under his warm blanket, you took comfort on rest his chest once more, his arm stretching around your shoulder, rubbing comforting circles once again onto your arm.

As hours passed by and when you were out of snacks, you agreed to finally go on your routinely trip to Walmart, deciding to take your car instead of his.

Not giving a fuck, you slipped on some shoes and both got into your car with the onesies still on. Jisung connected your phone to the Bluetooth, turning on your favorite playlist once more and start belching out the lyrics, acting out dramatically.

Gathering your phone, keys, and wallet, you headed inside. Giggling as Jisung did something stupid, as per usual to cheer you up, you took a cart and headed down the nearest isle.

“I have an idea,” Jisung perked up.

“Wow, that’s the first time that has happened in a while.”

Pouting, Jisung dismissed it, “Be quiet. Do you want to hear it or not?”

“Fine, what is it?”

“Get into the cart,” he smiled.

“You want me to what?”

“Just get into the cart.”

“We are already wearing onesies in a fucking Walmart; do you really want to me to climb into a cart to look even more like a bafoon?”

“Yes, now please just do it,” he groaned.

Complying with him, you got into the cart and uncomfortably shifted around.

“Now, why were you complaining about me getting into the cart?”

“To do this,” he smirked, pushing you towards one of the longest isles and running down it, scaring the absolute shit out of you in the process.

“Oh my god, Jisung! Are you trying to risk my life?”, you exclaimed in panic, trying to calm down your heart rate.

He could not answer as he was too busy laughing.  Sneering, you took an item out of the cart and threw it at him with all of your might.

“Owe,” he groaned as it landed in his stomach and tossed it back into the cart.

After an hour and a half later, along with more games and tricks and even a few customers complaining about being too loud, you finally carried the items out to your car and loaded them into the trunk and backseat.

Arriving back at his house, you left him to carry in the bags as you wanted to get out Artemis, his 2-year-old ball python that you were just absolutely in love with.

Carefully getting her out, you held her to your chest, giggling slightly when her tongue tickled your skin. Letting her find her way around her neck, you headed into the kitchen to help Jisung.

“You literally left me to do all of the work while you get my snake? Wait, never mind, do not answer that,” he sighed.

Smiling, you handled things carefully, not wanting to do anything too harsh to scare Artemis.

“You do know my own pets love you more than me, right?”, Jisung spoke up, storing Mochi’s, his bearded dragon, food.

“Yes, I do. Mochi and Artemis are my children too,” you remarked, lightly petting Artemis’ small head.

“Well, I’m the dad, so I should be the favorite,” he whined as he went to get Artemis from you, but she instead moved closer to you.

“Who says?”, you cheekily smirked.

“I don’t know what they see in you.”

Laughing offendedly, you smacked his arm, getting a smile out of him.

Retreating back to his room, you finally passed the reptile over to him and went to Mochi’s habitat. Smiling at the small creature, you pet her head and then lightly picked her up and brought her to your chest.

Letting her crawl her way onto your neck and laying on your shoulder, she nuzzled her face behind your ear. Smiling from the affection, you stroked her head.

“Hey, um, can I ask you a question?”, Jisung stammered.

“You just did, but ya, go ahead.”

“Do you like anyone?”

His question stunned you, leaving you speechless and halting you from petting Mochi, which she took it upon herself to rub her head under your finger.

“W-Why do you ask?”

“I don’t know, just curious I guess,” he readily made up an excuse.

“I do…”

“Do I know them?”, he questioned.

“Yes, you do…”

“Is… Is it Chenle?”, he sounded distraught.

“No, no! Not at all! I love him like a brother,” you quickly dropped his assumption.

“I don’t have any other guesses,” he admitted, petting Artemis’ smooth scales as he just stared down at her.

“I’ll give you a hint then. He’s tall, one of the youngest in his friend group, and has the cutest smile,” you tried to make it obvious.

“Yang Jeongin?”, he asked cluelessly.

Sighing exaggeratedly, “No, not him. I’m talking about you, Park Jisung. I like you, I have since freshman year, but you’ve never noticed.”

Lightly turning your head towards him, you watched as he tried to word sentences, his mouth wide open as he just stared at you. Frowning, you could tell he didn’t reciprocate your feelings as he had nothing to say.

“Never mind, just forget that I said anything,” you rushed to put Mochi back into her cage.

“No! No! No, please wait!”, Jisung quickly stood up, Artemis still around his neck as he reached out for you, grasping onto your arm with a lightly applied pressure, “I - I - I like you too… Like a lot.”

Taking a second to consider what he had just confessed and realized it, your lips turned upwards into a soft smile, wrapping your arms around his midsection and nuzzled your face into his chest. Feeling his arms wrap around you, your smile increased.

You’ve appreciated the pact a lot; it was nice to always have someone to count on. But now, you were beyond grateful for the pact that brought the two of you together, finally.
