I gotta do scar maps and also full body stuffs next! And outfit changes (mostly for Gid and Gricko (Hootsie too but that’s a given)) which means research! Fun!! I. Thinking of giving hootsie a little Chest plate and gauntlets for when she gets knighted by the fairy dragon (forgot his name) uhhhh feel free to use as pfps or like. Whatever really, just give credit if your using my exact designs or using these drawings please.

Also also (a lil unrelated but still) I might be able to take commissions soon!! Which like- awesomesauce tbh. I‘ve been thinking about doing commissions for a while and while I don’t know how they work or what sites to use or literally anything about how it works I’m definitely excited to try! I‘d like y’all’s views on if you’d like to commission me to get a good gist on the audience I’d be marketing to haha. (But in all honesty I’d draw or paint anything anyone asks, I like drawing more than money haha)

Greetings people, it’s been literally an entire year since I posted here but ignore that. Here’s my present for this years @valensemblestars Valentines exchange, which is for @zenyuumi who requested kohiiai shenanigans! I decided to go with the social media idea because I thought it would be the most fun, so I hope you enjoy it :)

I’m aware the prompt was specifically wanting to show the fans’ reaction but I hope you’re fine with it as is anyway because I tried my best! Also, MAJOR apologies about this being so late, I really need to stop underestimating how much time things take me in comparison to a normal speed artist. It took two hours just to outline it, and that was BEFORE I decided I wanted it to be colour coordinated. I definitely spent at least a whole days worth of hours on this and it’s significantly less than what most people would’ve done in that same time, but we got there eventually and that’s what matters! Yippee!

in my headcanon brighthearts dog attack also took off all the whiskers on that side of her face, what would this change for her realistically?

The loss of the whiskers is actually more devastating than the loss of the eye.

Whiskers are important for judging distance and are one of the reasons why blind cats are so good at navigating in close quarters without vision. She would have to re-learn skills she took for granted before.

For example, running full-speed through the forest. She used to be able to feel if a stick or tree was too close for comfort, but now she's constantly getting grazed by thickets and other obstacles. She also has no sense on that side of the face, so sneaking up on her is very easy.

Canon greatly overestimated how dehabilitating it is though. It's really not a great big inspiring story that Cloudtail helped her figure out how to adjust. The biggest thing is having a buddy to help her practice who's patient and fun to be around.

I do like how Darkest Hour gave her a distinctive "bob-and-weave" move, even though it's not necessary LMAO. I just think it sounds cool for her to be a very tricky fighter who moves around a lot.

Realistically, she does keep her good side turned to the opponent, so she can keep her whiskers on them. The worst part is that it would expose a broad side of her neck... could be fixed with an armored collar of some kind.
