friend, I know exactly what you mean. We’ve been rewatching s1 and he’s just all china doll pretty and it’s  k i l l i n g  me. Especially with Sam all high-handed and angry and how Dean’s feelings are basically getting run over by a semi every episode, haha. I feel like I need to write some angry dom Dean in like s10 just to hit some kind of equilibrium. (It has to be s10 because that’s the only time it’s believable. It takes demonic intervention. What a bunny. Jeezus.)

I always adore every comment I receive on my fics and it’s so inspiring and rewarding to know that someone out there enjoyed my story. I’ve received some incredible, long comments on my old Thor fandom fics and some of the comments on my fic where Loki is gender fluid were so touching that they made me tear up a little. I also love the enthusiastic comments I’ve received on fics I post under a sock account about a darker rare ship, because it’s extra nice to know that there is an audience for those fics who doesn’t judge me for writing them.

happy wincest wednesday! I may be too late but I hope it's a fun distraction, if you want one. What are some of your favorite wincest fics that aren't very 'you' -- i.e., outside of your usual taste but something about them just hits right?

this is a hard one, because everything about wincest is inside of my taste venn diagram!

if i had to choose, i’d go for the curious messrs. campbell by blindswandive. i’m not a period piece kind of gal, and i’m even less into supernatural period pieces, but bringing sam and dean into it gets me hooked- even more so when the AU keeps them as brothers, which so many don’t. another thing with this fic is that i’m not a fan of outside POV-- yes, yes, calm down-- but i think this one is the perfect version of it.

another good one for this is happy by whiskeycherrypie. the premise is that sam and dean do domestic violence BDSM roleplay after sam gets brainwashed into being justin smith in season 14, and i’m not someone who is into that style of dominance. the selling point is the way that sam and dean are both also unsure about it, and all that it means to them as a reconnecting after a period of not being on in a sexual relationship. sam pointed to his own chest. “you call this an ironed shirt?” AHHH.
