“This is ridiculous,” you state as you watch the two boys slide their gloves on.
“It’s not ridiculous, it’s necessary,” Jeonghan says as he climbs into the ring.
“If you can’t pick, then we’ll pick for you,” Joshua tells you. “This is how plenty of animals find a mate and what are humans other than another species of animal.”
You let out a frustrated huff.
This isn’t the outcome you were expecting when you couldn’t pick between Joshua or Jeonghan after they both asked you out.  You understand that this is their thing, that they’re boxers, but this is honestly unnecessary.
You’ve known both boys for a while now and are no stranger to their competitive nature but you didn’t think it would bleed over into their romantic lives as well. You should have known better. Your work for the gym they belong to and even though you’re around their coach and manager more, they’ve both seemed to take an interest in you anyway.
Despite being frequently annoyed by their antics, you actually do like both of them, that’s why you’ve been having a hard time picking between the two of them. Each has their own pros (and their own cons) and you truly don’t know who to pick, so here you are now, about to watch Joshua and Jeonghan box each other to become your boyfriend.
Everything really started a year and a half ago when Jeonghan signed on with Sebong, the gym you work for. You work basically as the assistant of the owner doing all of the work he doesn't want to do. You didn’t know he was joining the gym though, and was surprised to see such a handsome man standing in the lobby of your gym, which is not open to public access.
The first thing he did when he saw you was flirt with you. Soon the gym coach came in and took Jeonghan away, but that has been his lasting first impression ever since. After that, anytime Jeonghan would run into you in the gym, he’d take time out of his training just to flirt with you.
Joshua on the other hand, has been a long time member of the Sebong gym. He’s been around longer than even you have and he’s always been more or less respectful and kind to you, keeping his fair distance. That is, until Jeonghan appeared. The two seemed to be able to turn anything into a competition, and when Joshua realized that Jeonghan had his eyes set on you, he decided to do the same.
At first you thought it was a joke, but then it seemed to progress further and further to the point there was no way the boys were dropping all the money to bring you lunch and flowers whenever they could just for a laugh. So once you started to take them seriously, the competition really picked up. Taking you out on nice (expensive) dates, buying you gifts, showering you in flattery, requesting you route for them in their next match, whatever they could do to get your attention away from the other man and onto them. It was a bit over the top…but you also kind of loved it.
As you slowly got to know each man better, you slowly started to fall for both of them. There’s something so charming about the way you can never expect what Joshua will do next, yet he’ll always be a gentleman about it, and the way Jeonghan can be mischievous but still so caring at the same time. It’s so frustrating having to pick just one.
In terms of boxing, they’re also pretty equally matched. Joshua’s always been one of Sebong’s best boxers and one of the reasons why become so competitive with Jeonghan in the first place was due to the fact Jeonghan was able to sweep in and match his level.
Sometimes you’ll watch them during practice, going harder than anyone else in the gym, not wanting to quit until the other does. You know Coach loves it though, because they help push each other to be better.
The two are usually the last two out of the gym, forcing you to stay later so you can lock up after they get done. You don’t mind too much, you like watching them practice, and they always offer to help you clean up before leaving. After locking the doors they’ll always walk you to your car like proper gentlemen, and sometimes they’ll even invite you out to eat or something of the likes. You usually say yes.
You think one of your favorite moments with them was when you all went out to a bar together and got drinks and food and spent the whole night out talking. It felt natural, like the competition was set aside and you guys were just enjoying a night together as three friends.
The only problem is…the more time you spend with them, the harder it is to choose one. You’ve told them such on many occasions but the answer doesn’t seem to satisfy either man. That’s how Mingyu’s (not so) brilliant idea came to fruition.
“You’re both boxers, just fight for her.” It was said as more of a joke, but when you’re dealing with people like Jeonghan and Joshua, nothing is a joke if it can become competition. You were close to strangling Mingyu after he said it, but the other two were already gearing up to start the fight.
Which brings you to where you are now, after hours in the gym, staring at the two black haired men standing in the ring.
“Nothing will get out of hand, it’s just a friendly fight to determine who is worthy of your love,” Joshua assures you. You huff.
“What if neither of you win?”
Both men turn to you. “What does that mean?”
“It means you two are a little too evenly matched. I’ve seen you spar before and it always ends in a tie.”
“Not this time princess. Those are always practice matches, there’s something valuable on the line now,” Joshua says.
You know you should be annoyed that they're treating you like some prize to win, but if you’re being completely transparent, you find it a little hot. It’s not your fault that you have two hot boxers wanting to literally fight over you. It doesn’t mean you find them any less ridiculous.
“You can’t stop us Y/N-ah,” Jeonghan tells you. “Unless you pick right now.”
“You know I can’t do that. I-”
“Like both of us,” both men recite back to you in tandem. You roll your eyes.
“It’s not my fault you’re both annoyingly charming.” They send you twin grins at this.
“Just sit back and wait, pretty girl. We’ll have your answer for you soon enough,” Joshua says. “No hard feelings toward the other.” You doubt that last part, but you still just sigh and let them continue. It’s clear you’re not going to be able to stop them.
The two take their stance, shifting their weight from foot to foot, watching the other warily. Their elbows are tucked close to their bodies, their gloves up high to protect their face. Whichever one throws first will set the whole tone of the fight. Joshua makes the first move, but not really. It’s a fake out, but Jeonghan is able to see it coming, and doesn’t fall for it.
Instead he goes in for his own jab, connecting his glove into Joshua’s side. That gets Joshua going and he’s on Jeonghan, rapidly punching at his face. Jeonghan has no other choice than to back up, trying to block the hits. Jeonghan swings at Joshua to try and get him away and the two boys latch onto each other. They hit at each other a bit more before letting go and pulling back.
It doesn’t take long for them to go at it again though. This time it’s Jeonghan getting in his rapid fire hits. Joshua shields the punches away from his head, trying to make a few hits of his own as he does. Then in a miraculous turn around Joshua gets the upper hand, slamming his glove into the side of Jeonghan’s head.
It’s clear the hit resonated in Jeonghan, but he doesn’t let it slow him down. The two skirt around the boxing ring, dodging the other’s attacks while trying to make their own. If you weren’t so familiar with the world of boxing, you’d think they look a little ridiculous.
You do enjoy the sight a bit though.
Jeonghan’s hair is pulled back and exposes his long, pale neck. You can see a thin layer of sweat start to create a sheen there. His face is hardened and focused as he makes his attacks on Joshua. Speaking of Joshua, he looks just as good himself. His bangs hand in his face slightly, sticking to his forehead with sweat. His usual smiley face is replaced with one of determination and fire in his eyes. Both of their bodies are on display, their well defined muscles and hard abs out in the open for you to gaze at. You enjoy the sight of the way their bodies move; the clear image of their muscles working hard to win the fight.
You’re not sure how long you get distracted staring at the boys’ bodies but when you finally tune back into the actual fight, both boys are clearly starting to get worn out. Just as you predicted, they’re too evenly matched to knock each other out. They do look incredibly sexy though, worn out and sweaty. You discreetly clench your thighs together, a little too into the sight of the boys going at it for your affections.
You smirk at that though as an idea starts to formulate in your mind. Both boys are in their own corner of the ring, panting, when you approach the side.
“Are you boys done yet?” You drawl and their eyes flit over to you, like they almost forget you’re here, even though you’re the reason they’re even fighting in the first place.
“Not yet baby, still haven’t won yet. But don’t worry, I will soon,” Jeonghan says.
Joshua scoffs. “Yeah right. It’s gonna be me who wins, princess.”
The nicknames go straight to your core, further encouraging your idea. You lean against the ropes of the ring and stare at the two boys intently before speaking. “You know, I’ve always said I can’t pick between you two, but what if I don’t want to pick.”
“Y/N…?”
"Have you two ever considered…you can both have me?"
You watch the way Jeonghan’s throat bobs as he swallows and Joshua’s eyes go wide a bit before a smirk overtakes his face.
“Oh? Is that what you want pretty girl?” He asks, slinking towards where you’re standing, Jeonghan following suit.
You suddenly feel a bit shy under their looming gaze. “M-maybe.”
“Maybe?” Jeonghan asks, a playful tone to his words. “That won’t do, baby. You gotta tell us exactly what you want.”
You squirm a bit. “I- I want you guys. Both of you.”
“Want us to do what?” Joshua asks. You look at both boys who have matching smirks on their faces and you’re starting to realize maybe this isn’t your best idea. When the two men aren’t being competitors, they’re being the evil twins, and you think you may have awoken that side in them. That’s not going to stop you now though.
“Want you to touch me. To fuck me. Please Joshie, Hannie, I need it.”
“Good girl,” Joshua mutters before he’s throwing off his gloves and slipping through the ropes of the ring so he can pull you against his body. His skin is still warm from all of the physical exertion earlier and it feels nice against your own skin. It doesn’t feel nearly as nice as his lips pressing against yours though.
Joshua’s grip is firm, yet gentle at the same time. His kiss is searing against your lips and you let yourself get lost in it. One of his hands cups your neck while the other is snaked around your waist. He holds you in place, not that you’d go anywhere if he did let go. His lips are a mix of sweet from his strawberry flavored chapstick and salty from sweating during the boxing match.
You nearly forget about Jeonghan until you feel him slide up behind you, his own arms snaking around your body, trapping you in between both men. Jeonghan’s mouth attaches to your neck and a shudder runs through your body. The feeling of his teeth grazing your skin makes you gasp into Joshua’s mouth, allowing the younger to slip his tongue in.
Jeonghan’s fingers dig into your hip bones and you can feel his own hips grind up against you, his half hard dick nestled right against your ass. In the front you can feel Joshua’s own cock rub against your thigh. Both feelings combined have your head spinning and your panties dampening.
Jeonghan’s mouth continues to attack your neck before he’s tugging at your shirt collar, trying to reach as much skin as he can. If this was any other situation you may scold the man for stretching out your shirt, but you can’t be bothered right now, wanting his mouth on you as much as possible.
Your attention is pulled away from Jeonghan’s ministrations at the feeling of Joshua’s hands snaking up your shirt. His fingers brush against your bare skin, before fully cupping your tits. He paws at your boobs over your bra for a second before his fingers dip under your bra as well. They brush across your nipples and you moan around Joshua’s tongue still in your mouth.
For two men who use their fists for a living, they’re also very skilled with their fingers. Jeonghan’s hands travel down your body before they grasp at your thighs. His cock is still pushing up against your ass as he pulls your body back into him even more. He squeezes at your thighs and when one of his knuckles brush up against your clit through your pants you gasp and whine, grinding down to try and gain the friction again.
“Heh,” you hear in your ear, “so fucking needy. It’s so hot baby.”
“P-please touch me more,” you beg, pulling your mouth back from Joshua.
“Ah, you want me to touch you more? Where? Here?” His fingers brush against your crotch once more and you jerk.
“Yes! There, please! Please Hannie, I need it. Need you.”
“Of course baby, Hannie is gonna take good care of you.” His fingers plunge into your pants and he slides his fingers over your panties and against your clit. He starts to rub it in slow soft circles, causing your legs to go weak in the men’s arms.
“Princess,” Joshua mumbles into your ear. “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted this. Wanted you. So fucking pretty. I’ve liked you since you started here, you know.”
You whimper at his words. If there’s anything that will set you off, it’s having someone want you as desperately as Jeonghan and Joshua do.
Your panties are already soaked through with your arousal and you’re sure that Jeonghan’s fingers are also drenched. You squirm in the men’s grips, wanting more. Thankfully, they seem to get the hint.
“Fuck,” Joshua finally pulls away from you. “Clothes off. All of them.” Jeonghan also pulls away from you, allowing you to quickly shed all of your layers, leaving you bare to the two men staring at you like you’re their next meal. You kind of are.
Both boys also get rid of the rest of their clothing and your mouth goes dry a bit at the sight of the two naked men in front of you. They’re similar in build with fit bodies and taut muscles. They’re not too similar in their other appendages though.
Though both of their cocks are fully hard, and dripping precum, Joshua’s is fat and heavy and on the tanner sider while Jeonghan’s is long and skinny and a pretty pinkish color. The sight of both of them drives you crazy, though.
You’re still in the middle of assessing their bodies when they descend on you. Their bare skin feels even better against yours now that you’re also naked. You’re already a bit breathless as they sandwich you between them again.
“God, you’re even more gorgeous than I imagined, princess,” Joshua whispers in your ear. “And I’ve been imagining it for a while.”
A shiver runs down your back and you press your body into his even more. Something about his voice, the way he said the words, makes your head dizzy. You’ve never denied that Joshua Hong is one of the prettiest people you’ve ever met, but his voice is also incredibly sexy and deserves to be recognized. Especially when it gets all deep and teasing the way it just did.
“What do you want from us baby?” Jeonghan asks. Oh god his voice as well. The light tone turned sultry. You swear they’re both trying to kill you.
“Anything, everything,” you strangle out. “Please just touch me.”
“I think I can do that,” Joshua says with a smirk and then he’s sinking to his knees so his face is level with your crotch. “So pretty down here too.” He lifts his hand up so he can press two fingers against your clit. He plays with you there for a moment as you slump back against Jeonghan, relying on him to keep you standing.
Jeonghan chuckles at this and he snakes his arms around to your front so he can knead at your breasts. He tugs and flicks at your hardened nipples. Your mind is already reeling, your body buzzing in pleasure. You can barely think as Joshua grabs your leg and lifts it over his shoulder so he can dive straight into your dripping cunt. He licks a long strip against your slit before attaching his lips to your clit, sucking harshly on the bud. You cry out and bury your fingers straight into Joshua’s hair.
“You sound so pretty for us,” Jeonghan tells you. You turn your head so you can capture his lips with yours and he greedily accepts.
Jeonghan’s kiss is less harsher than Joshua’s, but just as eager. Whereas Joshua tastes like artificial strawberries, Jeonghan tastes sweet like sugary candies and cakes. Your free hand reaches up behind you so you can bury your fingers in Jeonghan’s silky soft hair as well.
You’re not sure which boy to focus on, as Joshua starts to prod at your entrance with his fingertips. He teases you there until he finally inserts a finger, slowly pumping it in and out of you. You wiggle in his grip a bit, wanting even more, but Jeonghan holds you still.
“Patience baby. You’ll get what you need soon enough. Let Joshua enjoy his meal for now.” Jeonghan’s hands still play with your tits as he talks to you. “You can be a good girl for us, can’t you?”
You nod. “Y-yes. Wanna be good for you two.”
Below you, Joshua’s now fed you a second finger. His mouth is still sucking at your clit, not letting up. When you look down at him, his eyes are closed in complete pleasure. His free hand has been squeezing your ass as he goes down on you and you can’t help but think about how pretty he looks like this.
You’re sure his cock is leaking all over the floor and the thought has you groaning. You can feel Jeonghan’s cock nestled in the small of your back and you reach around to grasp him. Jeonghan doesn’t seem to be expecting this and he lets out a hiss before thrusting into your fist.
His cock is slender and fits nicely in your grip. You rub your thumb over his slit, collecting his precum and using it to lubricate the rest of his cock so you can pump him in your fist. Jeonghan’s mouth latches onto your shoulder and you can feel him trembling behind you. Your hand is only half working at him, too distracted by the way you can feel your stomach tightening.
“J-josh!” You cry out before you’re clenching down around his fingers, your legs giving out on you. Your body twitches as you orgasm, your body sinking down to the ground. Joshua grabs you, holding you in his arms, gently rubbing at your skin while you grasp onto him, trying to ground yourself.
Joshua presses soft kisses to the corner of your eyes and your cheeks as you try and catch your breath. “Are you okay pretty girl?”
You nod. “I’m okay, just took me by surprise.”
“Can we keep going?” Joshua asks you softly and it sets off a warm feeling in your stomach. You’re not sure how someone who made you cum a minute ago can be so soft with you now, but you’re not complaining. You just cup his face and kiss him quickly.
“Yeah. Here, I wanna suck you off. Can I?” You look up at him with wide eyes and his face goes pink for a second.
“Y-yeah. Yeah, you can.”
“Ehem,” Jeonghan says, reminding you and Joshua he’s still there.
“Ah, Hannie,” you turn to the older man, “you can uh, you can fuck me. If you want.”
Jeonghan curses softly. “You sure baby?”
You nod. “I’m sure. Josh loosened me all up. I need your cock in me so badly, please. I just came and I’m still so needy.”
Your words cause Jeonghan to groan and he gets down on the floor to meet you and Joshua. He pulls you in for a kiss, his fingers sliding down against your wet folds. You’re still sensitive down there and you mewl a bit.
“Fuck, you’re gonna let me fuck you nice and hard baby?”
“Yes, yes please,” you nod frantically.
“Help Joshua out first baby, then I’ll fuck you.”
You turn to the younger of the two men. Joshua is sitting back, his cock resting against his toned stomach. You position yourself between his legs on your knees in front of him. You lean down and gently take his tip in your mouth, sucking at the head. Joshua gasps slightly, encouraging you to do more.
You pop your mouth off of him and lick and kiss down his length to his balls. They sit heavy and drooping and you lick and kiss at them as well. You can hear the small grunts Joshua is letting out and you move up to kiss at his tip again.
His cock is thick and you’re not completely sure you’ll be able to get it all in your mouth, but you wrap your lips around the head again. You’re going to try your best no matter what. You run your tongue around the rim of his tip before flattening your tongue and trying to push yourself down further.
Your tongue presses against the underside of his cock as you try and get all of him in your throat. Your lips are stretched tight and you can feel the strain in your jaw. You pull your mouth back before plunging it back down, trying to get down further as you bob your head up and down his length. You can hear the lewd noises of your mouth fill the room as they mix with Joshua’s moans.
You’re so focused on pleasuring Joshua you jump when you feel Jeonghan grasps your hips. Your ass is pushed into the air and you can feel him drag his cock over your slit. He teases you with a few more swipes before he unceremoniously shoves his cock into you. His slender width allows him to push into you easily, especially with how wet you are from Joshua eating you out. You moan as Jeonghan bottoms out, the vibrations going straight into Joshua’s cock.
Joshua reaches out and grabs your head, shoving you down further on his cock, his blunt tip ramming into the back of your throat. Behind you Jeonghan does the same, his own tip hitting your cervix, the slam of skin echoing throughout the room. Joshua has a tight grip on your hair and he guides you up and down his cock, practically face fucking you.
You can’t do much but moan and allow both men to fuck into you like you’re nothing but their desperate cock sleeve. You don’t mind it at all though. You actually kind of love them using you like this. It’s dirty, the way they just shove their cocks into you with no care, but it has your pussy drenched, no matter how embarrassing it is.
Your throat is burning from the way Joshua is using your mouth and your fingers dig into his thighs. Tears are welling up in your eyes a bit and you can’t tell if it’s from choking on Joshua’s cock or the pleasure Jeonghan is giving you by continuously drilling into you.
“F-fuck, Y/N,” comes Joshua’s choked out sob before he’s spilling his seed right down your throat. You gag as you try and swallow it all down but some of it still drips out of your mouth. “Shit Y/N. You look so hot like that. Dirty little girl, taking my cum down her throat.” Joshua reaches up and swipes the rest of his cum off your chin.
Your throat burns and your voice is raw when you try to speak. “J-josh.”
“You were so good for me.” Joshua reaches up and cups your breasts in your hands, kneading at you softly. “You feel good princess?”
“H-hannie, feels so good. W-want more though.”
“More?”
You nod. “Please Shua, fuck me too. Need to be full.”
“Fuck baby,” Jeonghan mutters from behind you. “You want us both in your needy little hole?” He thrusts up into you roughly to help make his point.
“Yes. Need both of you so badly. Please Josh.”
“Shit princess, that’s so slutty, how could I say no,” Joshua smirks at you. “Lean her back Han.”
Jeonghan does as told, leaning back and taking you with him so your cunt is now more exposed to Joshua. Jeonghan’s cock is already buried in you, but due to its slender size it still leaves room for Joshua to slide in. Well slide in isn't exactly the right words.
You feel Joshua push his tip up against Jeonghan’s cock at the folds of your pussy. He ruts at your entrance for a second before starting to push in. His cock is thick though, and it stretches your pussy wide, your opening burning as it does. If it wasn’t for all of the arousal lubricating Jeonghan’s cock and your cunt, you’re sure Joshua wouldn’t have even been able to get in an inch.
“God you look so pretty like this,” Jeonghan coos. “Our nasty little slut.”
You choke out a moan at the name and Jeonghan chuckles. In your front, Joshua is still slowly pushing his cock into you bit by bit. After what feels like forever he’s shoved inside of you and you feel like crying from how desperate you are.
“Please move, I need it, please,” you beg, not caring how pathetic you sound.
“What the princess wants is what she gets,” is Joshua’s response before he pulls out only to slam right back into you. You cry out, your fingers finding purchase on Joshua’s shoulders. “God you feel so tight around my cock.”
Joshua reaches down and grabs your legs, picking you up. Your legs automatically wrap around Joshua’s waist, pulling him closer to you. His cock moves rapidly in you as he matches Jeonghan’s pace. The older of the two’s cock slams deep into you while the younger’s fills you up, satiating your fervent desires.
Your mind is reeling and you can’t focus on anything other than the sheer pleasure coursing through your body. You can feel Jeonghan and Joshua’s mouths and hands all over your body, feeding your hunger for them.
At some poit you realize that your cheeks are wet, tears freely streaming down your face as both men do their best to abuse your cunt.
You let out a strangled gasp when you feel one of Jeonghan’s hands snake around your neck, his other one grasping harshly at your breasts. His fingers close down around your neck, his hot breath brushing your ear.
“Gonna let me and Josh cum inside you baby? Let us fill up your needy pussy with our seed?”
You whine, high pitched and needy. “Yes. Yes, please. Cum in me, use me however you want.”
“Hear that Shua? Our baby girl wants us to use her like the cumdump she is.” Jeonghan’s fingers are still tight around your neck, making you light headed in the best way possible.
Instead of responding Joshua just roughly grabs your chin and pulls you into a kiss. His tongue slips into your mouth once more and nearly shoves it down your throat. You can barely breathe with Joshua’s mouth over yours and Jeonghan’s hand on your throat but you don’t care. It makes your head fuzzy and all of your senses go crazy to the point that there’s nothing other than Joshua Hong and Yoon Jeonghan.
A shudder runs through your whole body and without much warning your body is trembling as you hit your orgasm. Your pussy clenches down on Jeonghan and Joshua’s cocks, holding them in a vice grip. They both let out twin groans as your body goes limp in their grip, your mind completely blank.
You’re not sure who cums first, but before you know it they’re both spilling their seed into you, filling you up to the brim. You’re still shaking when they pull out, some of their cum spilling out and dripping down your legs. Slowly Joshua lowers you to the floor.
“You’re so pretty like this, Y/N-ah,” Jeonghan says in a soft voice. “All fucked out like a cock drunk whore.”
Your body is exhausted and you want nothing more than to rest, but then you feel Jeonghan’s fingers trailing against your puffy folds. You mewl out when you feel his fingers insert into you, shoving his and Joshua’s cum back into you.
“Can’t let it go to waste, can we?” He says with a smirk.
Your whole body is overstimulated and just having his fingers in you sends your twitching. Your fingers grasp at air and you whine.
“Shh, be a good girl for us. Can’t you do that pretty girl?” Joshua asks as he runs his hands up and down your warm skin. He stops at your tits, kneading them softly before flicking your sensitive nipples.
“J-josh, H-hannie!” You cry out. Jeonghan’s fingers are now moving rapidly inside of you, your walls fluttering as your body screams at you.
Your eyes screw shut and your back arches as you reach your release once more. You can feel the liquid spray out of you, drenching your legs and Jeonghan’s hand. It seems to go on forever before your body is falling limp to the ground once more.
“Oh god princess, that was so hot,” Joshua says, a bit breathless. Jeonghan pulls his fingers from you satisfied with his work.
Your body is completely boneless as you lay on the ground, trying to catch your breath. Your eyes are closed and you think you may never get up ever again.
You’re not sure how long you lay there as Joshua and Jeonghan move around, cleaning up the mess you made and rubbing at your sore body. When you finally get some semblance of feeling human again you open your eyes and sit up.
“Hey baby,” Jeonghan says to you in a soft voice. “How are you feeling?”
“Good,” you sigh, “very good.”
“Sorry we kind of went in hard there at the end,” Joshua says. He caresses your face with his hand.
“I asked for it. I liked it,” you admit. “Thank you, you two.”
“You’re thanking us?” Joshua laughs a big incredulously. “That was like a dream for me.”
Now with the ability to think again you glance around and realize you’re still on the floor, of the gym, covered in cum and sweat.
“Ugh, I feel so gross. This is so gross, these floors are filthy,” you groan.
Jeonghan snorts. “Come on, we can go clean up in the locker room.”
“Round two in the showers?” Joshua shoots you and Jeonghan a mischievous look that Jeonghan sends back. You groan again.
“You two may have the stamina, but I certainly do not,” you state, knowing damn well that you’re going to let them fuck you again in the shower.
The boys are quiet for a moment as you three walk to the shower before Joshua finally pipes up. “So does this mean you choose us both?”
“Yeah,” you smile at them, “I choose you both…if you both still want me.”
“Of course! I’m not going to let him stop me from having you,” Jeonghan says.
“Even if you have to share?” You ask.
“Yeah, I’ll just be the better boyfriend,” Jeonghan proclaims proudly.
“Hey! I’m going to be the best boyfriend Y/Nnie can have!” Joshua shoves the other boxer’s shoulder. This sets off an argument between your two new boyfriends and you roll your eyes before turning on the shower.
The least you can say is that your relationship definitely won’t be a boring one.

"Merry Christmas 🎁🎄😉"
His thumb hovered over the send button, chewing at his lip as he contemplated whether he should go ahead and allow his intrusive thoughts win.
He had seen countless of twitter posts about exes doing this same thing, laughing at each one.
After the fifth one he scrolled past, Seungcheol decided "why the hell not" and scrolled to the bottom of his messages — clicking on the one conversation he had yet to delete.
Along with the name he had yet to change.
He wasn't hanging on to her, no definitely not.
Just didn't think it's that important to delete messages when his phone storage was completely fine.
And why go as far as changing her contact name back to her government name. The honey emoji was cute anyways.
Fuck it.
Holding his breath, he hit send and waited for the screen to flash the words delivered before swiping out of the app.
It was just in good fun, he wasn't expecting a reply — he just wanted to be as annoying as the other men on social media who reached out to their exes after months of no contact..... for the laughs.
He knew there was a higher percentage of her leaving him on read than replying and telling him off; she was always the bigger person.
But Seungcheol was oh so wrong.
In the midst of replying to Jeonghan's instagram story of his family's Christmas feast, her assigned contact name appeared.
"Lmfao stfu" She replied.
But she also hearted the message.
Letting out a soft chuckle, he quickly typed away on his keyboard.
"Damn, not even going to say it back?"
He was just joking.
And he knew she found it funny.
Within seconds her chat bubble appear — she was typing.
"Merry Christmas, Cheol🎄"
"What about my family?"
He was pushing it.
But with all his other friends far too busy with their own family activities to reply to his texts, he was going to keep at it.
"Texted your mom this morning dumbass."
He wasn't aware she was still in contact with his mother.
Though, he should have figured.
They were together for three years.
And his mom had always wanted a daughter.
"Dumbass? At least be nicer to your favorite ex."
"Who said you're my favorite? 🫵🏼"
"I just know 😉"
"You're currently at the bottom on my list. At least my other ex got me a present."
Bottom of her list.
She had only one other ex.
And he didn't count.
High school boyfriends don't count. Especially if they broke up right after graduation.
Those were just test runs.
More importantly, it was Seokmin. And he gives presents to everyone.
He had a big heart and wants to be everyone's friend.
"Was it a tea set again?"
"Shut up lol"
"Send me your list, I'll get you something."
"Dyson Airwrap 😈"
He knew she was joking.
But wouldn't it be funny, if he actually did it?
Switching apps, Seungcheol typed into his search bar, clicking the first result that had pooped up.
He still had her address memorized.
Seungcheol hit the complete button, and locked his phone as bounded for the dining room — checking to see if his mom and dad had finally set up tonight's feast.
He was just about to pick at the cheeseboard his mother set up on the table when the familiar sound of a facetime call blared from the phone in his hand began to ring — it was her.
She must have gotten the confirmation email.
"Wassup?" He swiped the accept button — throwing a cheese cube in his mouth.
It had been a while since he had last seen her, being blocked on all her social media accounts and all.
She was really persistent on keeping the no contact rule after the break up.
Even when they took turns taking care of their shared dog, Kkuma — opting to use Wonwoo as their puppy's form of transportation and point of contact.
He protested each time their non-government assigned custody switch off was set to happen — trudging to his car with Kkuma in tow.
Wonwoo claimed they were far worse than actual divorced parents — complaining more considering Seungcheol technically had custody of him and the dog.
Seungcheol couldn't help but bite back a smile as he watched her from behind the screen — making note of how cute she looked when she was annoyed.
He's allowed to think she's cute.
They were broken up but that doesn't mean she wasn't attractive.
"You're joking, right?"
"What are you talking about?" Seungcheol blinked.
She could see right through his act, giving him the finger.
"Hey, that's not nice." He laughed.
"You're crazy, you know that?"
"Am I your favorite yet?"
"No!"
"I'll buy you another one." He threatened.
"Cheol!"
"Yes?" He answered sweetly, making her lips curl in annoyance.
He always did enjoy getting her nerves.
Seeing her huff and puff had always been his favorite part of his day.
Especially when she would pout after taking a joke a little too far only for him to kiss it all better — not that he could do that now.
He's allowed to reminisce on old memories. At least, he'll allow himself just this one time during the holidays.
"Fine, what do you want?"
You.
Seungcheol shook his head. "Nothing."
"Come on, let me get you something."
He pursed his lips, thinking — he had almost anything he could ask for.
And if he did end up thinking of anything, he could simply swipe his card and purchase it himself.
There was one thing he did want, but be knew it would be a selfish thing to ask of her.
Settling for the next best thing, a smile crept on his face."What perfume do you use again?"
"You want my perfume?" She raised her brows.
He missed the way she smelled.
The remaining item he had that held traces of her no longer had that signature scent — having it been nearly a nine months since she had lounged around his place in his hoodie.
He would have purchased it himself, but the thought of him going out of the way to purchase her scent only for him to spray it on her favorite hoodie and her side of the bed seemed pathetic.
But considering she offered....
"Why not? I like the smell." He shrugged.
Sighing, she swiped out of their call — allowing for his face to minimize and settle for a corner in her screen as she quickly typed away on her phone.
She still had his address memorized as well.
Seungcheol couldn't be more grateful that Apple had changed their phone setting and no longer pause the person on the other side of the line's video when they swiped away — watching as she brought the device closer to her face, her brows naturally furrowing as she focused in her task.
"Done." She sang, clicking back into their call.
It wasn't long before he got the confirmation email, his eyes widening at the transaction breakdown.
"Why the hell is your perfume $250!?" His mouth hung in shock.
It was no wonder she had always scolded him for spraying a little too much when she allowed him to have some.
Curse Le Labo and their damn prices.
"It's worth it."
"I would hope so, it cost almost as much as a hairdryer!"
"You asked for it!" She laughed.
It was music to his ears.
"Is that y/n?" His mom's scurried over to him, wiping her hands on her apron. Seungcheol moved the camera to fit the both of them on screen, the smile on his face growing larger – as if it could get any more since their call began.
"Merry Christmas, mom!" She waived.
Mom.
When he had first introduced her to his parents, it didn't take long for them to warm up to her – insisting that she referred to them as mom and dad because "you two will be married soon, anyways."
Oh, they were so wrong.
"Stop by tomorrow for leftovers yeah?" The older lady asked.
"Mom..." He trailed off, not wanting to pressure the girl behind the screen – although, they did agree that Kkuma was to ring in the New Year with her because he had a snowboard trip planned with his friends.
She can pick her up early instead of having to ask Wonwoo.
"I'd love to." She smiled warmly.
How was he going to find someone who got on well with his mom?
Trick question.... he didn't want to.
"Perfect." His mother clapped, before excusing herself back into the kitchen.
"Guess I'm picking our daughter up early." She mumbled.
Our daughter.
"Guess I'll be seeing you too."
"That can be arranged."
"Come on, it's been months. I think we can see each other now." He half-heartedly teased.
The anger had subsided and the wounds that once kept them up at night had grown numb – the only memory of their past were now re-runs of the good times. It was as if their brain completely disregarded the fighting and the heartache that they had gone through in the last few months of their relationship.
They were now.... okay.
"I don't know, Cheol."
"Come on. One last time."
It was almost like he was pleading for her – the playful tone between the two have shifted.
He watched as she nervously switched holding her phone from one hand to the other, chewing at the skin inside her cheek.
He shouldn't have mentioned it.
But he was already far from the line they had drawn between them – swearing to never cross.
"I miss you." He continued. "It's a neutral setting. We can have breakfast with my parents."
"One last time?"
"Promise."
He broke that promise within a few weeks – picking up Kkuma at her apartment instead of his friend. She nearly stumbled back when she swung the door open and saw his smiling face – holding a paper bag containing her favorite pastries.
It wasn't long before he would show up at her door again and again; and she wasn't complaining.
They swore they were just friends.
Two exes who were coparenting – remaining cordial for the sake of their dog.
That was, until she had agree to spend Christmas with him at his family home – one last time.
They should have known his mother was scheming, she was a little too cheerful when she had greeted them at the door.
"Oh, will you look at that!" She gasped, pointing up above them as they kicked their shoes off.
The two exchanged looks before looking up at the doorway where his mother taped two leaves – a chuckle escaping his lips in an instant.
"What do you say?" He raised a brow at her. "One last time?"
"Or maybe a couple more," Y/n copied his playful tone. "if... you want."
"Oh, I definitely want." Seungcheol wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer – planting a quick peck on her lips.
His mother was there.
And so was their daughter.
"Merry Christmas." She giggled.
Thank god for that damn twitter trend.

don’t look for me anymore
Tumblr media
9.2k words yoon jeonghan x f!reader, harry potter au, lovers to enemies to strangers to friends to lovers (😭), angst, fluff, kind of dialogue heavy, misunderstandings
synopsis; the last time you and jeonghan saw each other felt like it’d be the last, but clearly fate had different plans
Tumblr media
“ow- watch it yoon!” your friend soonyoung scowled at the boy that had just bumped into him. the boy in question being none other than yoon jeonghan.
“why? you that weak that it broke your arm or something? your little girlfriend going to kiss it better for you?” the long haired boy shot back, his voice going high pitched at the end in favour of mocking your friend. jeonghan’s eyes turned to you, “though i can’t expect you’d be with her for much longer” he narrowed his eyes, “she’s not even bothered to stand up for you” he scoffed mirthfully.
“she’s not my girlfriend, but even if she was or wasn’t it’s none of your business so leave her alone?” soonyoung snarled at him.
despite soonyoung’s wishes, the slytherin would not leave you alone. he continued to stare you down, patiently waiting however long it’d take you to budge and acknowledge his presence.
“ln. you blind or something?” he stared down at you, “not even going to say hi to an old friend?” he faked a pout, faux sadness in his voice.
“i’d never be friends with someone like you, yoon” you glared at him, trying your best to not present yourself in a way that was open to something he could poke fun at you for.
he scoffed. you could tell he saw right through you. for a gryffindor, you were always quite the coward when it came to jeonghan.
“that so? you didn’t have the same thing to say a few years ago though” he smirked, hell bent on making sure you remember what the two of you’ve known for years but you try hiding so desperately. “ah well, i’ve got better things to do now so i’ll see you and your girlfriend another time”
soonyoung waited for jeonghan to leave before turning to you, “think if i pay shua he’ll put some hair removing potion into his shampoo?”
you breathed a laugh out at his idea, imagining jeonghan’s reaction to it. he’d probably use his whole life savings to get the school shut down.
——- ★
walking into your transfiguration class, you quickly moved to get to the last seat at a table of a few gryffindors. your face dropped when you saw it be taken by a hufflepuff. scanning the classroom, your eyes set on the last remaining seat at the table of slytherin’s, and low and behold, there was yoon jeonghan. luckily enough, the seat wasn’t next to him but one of his friends, joshua.
from what soonyoung had told you about joshua, he was nice- so much so that soonyoung insists the sorting hat must’ve been having an off day when it decided to place him in slytherin. but from what your other friend seungcheol had told you, joshua was just as mischievous if not more so than jeonghan. and from what you’d seen of him in classes for the last few years, he was incredibly good at thinking on his feet. the amount of excuses he’d managed to pull from out of thin air had you questioning just how eventful this man’s life was.
you’d quickly moved to the table, smiling slightly to joshua “uh, is it alright if i sit here?”
joshua smiled easily at you, “yeah sure go ahead” getting a quill out of his bag before moving it off of the seat so you could sit there.
you breathed out a ‘thank you’ before grabbing a quill yourself, keeping your gaze fixed on the textbook while you waited for your professor to arrive.
as much as you’d tried to avoid it- you could feel his eyes on you. you knew jeonghan was staring at you, but you couldn’t deal with him embarrassing you in front of his friends so you avoided passing your gaze to him.
——- ★
class felt like it’d never end but as soon as mcgonagall had dismissed you, you don’t think you’d ever packed your things that quickly.
turning on your heel you made a beeline for the door, hoping to catch up with seungcheol to head to your next class.
“yn” you heard someone behind you clear their throat, and you silently prayed it wasn’t who you thought it was. you turned around to see joshua with his hand out, “yn, you forgot your book”
“oh thank you, joshua” you hummed, smiling up at him. for a split second, you looked to the left of him and saw jeonghan staring right back at you. “well..” you cleared your throat, “i’ve got to go now, but thanks again. i’ll see you around, bye!” and then you were gone.
“should’ve burnt it instead of giving it back” jeonghan muttered while he walked out of the classroom with his friend.
“next time, you can have at it” joshua laughed. being jeonghan’s best friend, he was well aware of the circumstances between you and jeonghan. “don’t you think it’s about time you let it go?” joshua suggested when they’d arrived back to the common room.
“it’s not like i care about that, i just don’t like people as spineless as her” jeonghan muttered. despite his words, joshua could easily tell he didn’t mean it. he was still genuinely hurt at what happened in your guys’ fifth year. “whatever. you heading to hogsmeade this weekend?”
“not sure yet. might have to catch up on some homework, why?” joshua pondered over it.
“i wanted to head down to grab something” jeonghan sighed, “a book you idiot!” jeonghan continued after seeing the sceptical look from his friend.
“you can’t blame me for being curious, can you?” joshua laughed, dodging the pillow his friend threw at him.
“well if you do change your mind, let me know. anyway, i’ve got alchemy now, i’ll see you at dinner”
joshua nodded, waving at his friend before heading to his own class, potions.
——- ★
“have you thought about what you’re going to do after n.e.w.t’s?” nayeon asked you as the two of walked into class.
“hm? uh i was thinking maybe taking a year to myself for travelling or something” you thought over it for a few seconds, “i think i’ll end up going insane if i need to start looking for jobs immediately” you laughed.
“that’s fair” nayeon returned your laughs, “i’m not completely sure what i want to do either. i was so confident back in fifth but now it’s just.. i’m so unmotivated” she groaned, burying her head in her arms.
you rubbed her back in comfort, looking to the door to make sure professor snape hadn’t arrived yet. you knew what he was like, if he saw nayeon ‘slacking off’ as he would put it, he’d end up taking it out on all gryffindor. “oh- nayeon quick get up” you whispered when you caught a glimpse of his greasy, unkempt hair.
“oh shit thanks” she told you hurriedly, quickly gathering the materials from her bag. you stifled a laugh at her panic, secretly urging her to hurry up because snape was about to direct his line of vision to the two of you.
luckily, nayeon had managed to get everything out in time and from what snape saw she was raring to get the lesson started.
“nayeon, this weekend professor sprout has requested you help the first years with their extra curricular” snape looked over unamused.
nayeon sighed before nodding, and turned to you to roll her eyes before plastering a smile on and turning back to the board.
“can’t believe i have to cancel our plans this weekend to help with herbology. why couldn’t that slimy snape just ‘forget’ to tell me instead” your friend groaned disheartened.
you laughed, “it’s fine don’t worry about it, we can always go next week!” you reassured her.
“if i end up dying before that i’ll make sure i turn into a ghost and terrorise the herbology class from now on” she mumbled, still pouting. “oh well. i suppose if we can’t hang out you can at least spend some time with your ‘boyfriend’” nayeon teased.
you looked at her confused for a few seconds before groaning and rolling your eyes, “are you talking about guwon again? i told you he’s not my boyfriend!”
“you guys are literally always together!” she accused, a smirk settling on her face.
“that’s because he doesn’t have any friends!” you lied. from what you knew, guwon was pretty popular in ravenclaw, “we only know or talk to each other because our parents are best friends. if it wasn’t for that i wouldn’t even look at him”
nayeon pondered for a few seconds, “you have to admit though.. he’s pretty cute isn’t he?”
you sighed, clearly she wasn’t going to drop it. “i guess you’re right.. guwon is a little cute, but ah-!” you were cut off by someone bumping, well more pushing, passed you.
“watch it!” nayeon screamed at whoever it was, helping you up at the same time. “ugh, some people are so rude. are you alright yn?”
nayeon had her wand out, ready to hex whoever had bumped into you without even apologising.
“i’m fine, thanks” small smile on your face. you looked over for a few seconds while nayeon was still ranting about the manners of people in this school, you could see the back of who had bumped into you and you immediately recognised those long raven locks of hair. you frowned slightly; you really couldn’t blame him. you smiled at nayeon before just suggesting to head back to the common room until dinner.
——- ★
that weekend, you decided to head to hogsmeade on your own, asking nayeon what she wanted you to bring back for her. after making a note of it, you headed off.
when you arrived, you made a beeline for the three broomsticks, although you quickly regretted it seeing how busy it was. there was only one free seat and it was next to- oh great.
“mind if i sit here?” you mumbled, avoiding his eyes.
“what? you sit here?” jeonghan deadpanned, looking up at you, “no. get lost” he didn’t pay you any more mind, going back to sipping his drink.
you sighed exasperated, “look there’s literally no where else to sit!” you gestured toward all the seats to emphasise your point.
jeonghan followed what you were pointing at, before settling on one table. he pointed toward it, gathering your attention, “isn’t that your boyfriend over there? why don’t you go sit next to your darling, cute moon guwon?” he made a physical show of gagging unenthusiastically.
you stayed silent for a minute. “yeah that’s what i thought” he scoffed. “always so spineless. for a gryffindor you’re a real coward, you know that?”
he continued to sip his butter beer, really paying you no more attention. that was until you shoved him to make room for you on the bench.
“the hell do you think you’re doing?” he whisper-shouted at you, ears turning red at how close to his side you were.
“just shut up for once!” you scoffed, “that was what i hated most about you when we dated” you shook your head at him, aware he could see the teasing gleam in your eyes.
he shook his own head, “oh yeah? well i hated how you never understood the concept of personal space, and clearly-” he gestured between the two of you, “you still haven’t”
you giggled lightly, taking your own butter beer from the waitor, “thank you” you smiled as she left. “whatever. see it isn’t hard for you to be civil is it?”
you looked up at jeonghan when he went silent, but he was looking at something else. you followed his line of sight and saw guwon approaching the two of you.
“yn, hi! you’re with.. jeonghan.. how have you guys been?” he smiled tight lipped.
“uh good. how about you, guwon?” you shifted uncomfortably.
“i’m great! jeonghan?”
the boy in question was currently staring down at his hands, playing with a coin between his fingers. “hm?” he looked up. “i’m uh, i’m good guwon. thanks” he said void of emotion.
“great! yn how about you join me at my table?” he said moving to grab your hand.
you moved your hand from where he could grab it, moving it to your pocket instead. you were tired of jeonghan making assumptions on his own. “i’m going to head out after i finish this anyway. just wanted to grab a drink. thanks though!”
guwon nodded before heading back to his own table, but you could tell he wasn’t happy. you rolled your eyes at the thought of a letter from your parents coming within the next few days to scold you.
whatever- that didn’t matter. what mattered was the boy sitting next to you. warily, you looked back at him, a distant look in his eyes. he looked so hurt, and tired. “jeonghan-” you started, only for him to put a hand up to stop you.
“i can’t be bothered with your explanation, ln” he muttered, “just finish your drink and leave me alone, please”
you nodded before gulping down the rest of your drink, heading to the counter to pay for yours as well as jeonghan’s drink. it was the least you could do.
when you got back to hogwarts, the first thing you did was head back to the dorm. you didn’t care about dinner tonight, you just felt so tired. you left the book nayeon wanted on her bed before you sat on your own. rubbing your face as you collected your thoughts, reminiscing on the past.
little did you know jeonghan was thinking the same on the other side of the castle.
Tumblr media
during fifth year, you and jeonghan were incredibly happy together. you both hated being apart from each other so much that hiding the relationship seemed to be the most difficult thing ever. you would have to borrow someone else’s hands to count the amount of close calls there were.
“baby” jeonghan whined from next to you, both of you sitting in the old astronomy tower that nobody used anymore. “this hiding the relationship thing is getting too tiresome. we’ve been dating for months now, are you sure we can’t..?” he looked over to you, hopeful that you’d finish his sentence with the words he so desperately wanted to hear.
“what? tell people we’re dating?” you looked over at him perplexed, you’ve explained the situation to him more times you could count. “han.. you know i want to but-”
“your parents. i know i know. i’m sorry” he looked back up at the stars, shoulders deflating in defeat.
you gulped nervously, there really was only so much someone could put up with before they lose their mind. “hannie..” you whispered, taking his hands in yours, “i’m sorry. this summer i’ll convince them, alright?”
“you will?” jeonghan looked at you, his eyes resembling those of a kicked puppy.
“i will- and besides! it’s not like you’re the problem, it’s my parents! they don’t want me dating anyone” you hoped and prayed he wouldn’t catch onto your white lie. and thankfully he didn’t because you saw him get a little more energy from knowing your parents didn’t have a personal grudge against him.
about two weeks after your night with jeonghan in the astronomy tower, dumbledore had announced the parents dinner/ball that was to be held.
when jeonghan approached you when it had first been announced you knew this situation wasn’t going to end well. because he had suggested he find a way to convince your parents at the dinner that he was good enough for you. and in that moment you realised yoon jeonghan was in fact too good for you.
“mom, dad please don’t do this” you glared at your parents while whisper-shouting your complaints. still, they beckoned the Moon’s over, catching up with their old friends and introducing you to their son, moon guwon. you shook his hand, shooting him a curt, tight-lipped smile.
you weren’t exactly unfamiliar with him. he was a ravenclaw boy in your year who, from what you knew from seungcheol, was popular in his house. he was definitely their best candidate for head boy in a few years.
“why don’t the two of you go dance?” your mother laughed obnoxiously, already pushing the two of you to the center.
guwon circled his arm around your waist, bringing you closer to him. he smiled down at you, eyebrows furrowing when he saw how unhappy you looked.
“please let me go” you told him coldly, “i don’t think it’s appropriate for me to be dancing with you”
“why? think you’re going to hurt yoon’s feelings? look to your left you’re already too late” guwon scoffed, his head nodding toward jeonghan who you couldn’t read at all.
your face ran cold, desperately trying to get to him but guwon kept you close to him. “let me-”
“do you really just want to hurt him even more?” he looked at you seriously, “what? you really think you can convince your own, as well as my parents to call off this fantasy engagement they’ve had planned for us since they were our age?”
“you’re telling me that’s real? well we can’t just let them-”
“you can argue with them all you want” guwon told you unamused, “if you want yourself to end up on the streets on diagon alley, you go ahead”
a few minutes later, jeonghan had left and you did your best to excuse yourself from the party. jeonghan wasn’t anywhere near the entrances to the main hall. you saw a few of his friends but stopped yourself from asking them, it’d only cause suspicion.
you ran to the slytherin common room, maybe you could catch up with him before he entered; you didn’t know the password so there was no chance of the two of you could talk things through. when you had arrived, you still couldn’t find jeonghan.
‘where could he have gone?’ you paced thinking to yourself. and then it hit you.
when you arrived at the old astronomy tower, jeonghan was sitting there, looking up at the stars like he always did.
“jeonghan” you sighed out of breath, “jeonghan let me-”
“let you explain how you lied to me? how you basically lead me on this entire year? it’s fine yn i don’t care” he told you coldly.
“jeonghan please” you pleaded, “i didn’t want any of what happened back there”. he didn’t stop you so you continued, sighing “my parents and guwon’s parents have had some dream of getting me and him married, but i don’t want that!”
“so then tell them that yn! why’re you telling me?” jeonghan finally looked at you and you finally caught a glimpse of the hurt in his eyes, tears that gathered in his pretty eyes cascading down his face.
you stayed silent. you wanted to tell them but you knew what it meant. you’d be an outsider from your family, never acknowledged again. “jeonghan i can’t..”
jeonghan moved to stand up, harshly rubbing the tears from his eyes. he sniffed, the tip of his nose appearing slightly pink from the cold wind. “see that’s your problem yn. this is what it’s like with you and i can’t be bothered with it anymore. when you can finally take action and stop being so ashamed of me.. come find me”
Tumblr media
“that exam sucked!” soonyoung cried, the younger fourth year boy, lee chan, cheering him up.
“oh come on soonyoung! it couldn’t have been that bad. besides! you’re cool you don’t need these stupid exams anyway” the younger boy continued to pat his back comfortingly.
“no it’s not chan! ‘m gonna fail my newts and then the ministry’s gonna laugh at me when i try getting a job!” soonyoung sobbed, clinging onto chan for dear life.
“soonyoung people are staring at us” nayeon urged soonyoung to stop, “besides why don’t you use this to study for the next one?”
soonyoung looked at nayeon as if she’d grown a second head, “are you daft? i’m thinking of ways to make sure my life isn’t over and you’re telling me about studying!”
nayeon slammed her book shut, using it hit soonyoung’s arm, making him groan and whine in pain. “maybe your life won’t be over if you actually study for the next one more!”
“oh yeah. you’ve got a point nayeon thanks” soonyoung smiled, taking the book from her “i’ll use this to study thanks!” and that was all he said before he ran off, nayeon chasing after him.
you laughed at their antics, watching them for a few more seconds before turning back to your own study material.
the library was surprisingly empty today, you’d have thought more seventh years would be here studying but apparently not. you wished you could be a little relaxed like them, but you were currently stressed beyond reason about the exam tomorrow.
the exam today wasn’t nearly as bad as soonyoung had said, and when you checked back on your notes after the exam was over, you were pleased to see most of your answers were related to what your notes had said. even that couldn’t give you complete peace of mind though, these exams were too unpredictable.
you looked over at the clock and saw it was getting late, your exam was pretty early tomorrow so it’s best you get a good night's sleep so that you don’t end up falling asleep on your test.
after you packed your things up and headed for the exit, something- or rather someone, caught your eye. you debated mentally for a few seconds on whether or not to approach him and before you knew it, your feet were dragging you to him.
“jeonghan” you sighed, smiling at him when he looked up at you, a little confused as to why you would approach him so suddenly. he wasn’t alone, he was with joshua and a few of his other slytherin friends. “good luck with the exam tomorrow. you too joshua!” you waved and left before getting a response from them, but heard a ‘thanks you too!’ from joshua when your back was turned.
walking back to your dorm, you lingered a little longer, observing the walls and infrastructure to set in stone in your mind. it was painful to think about but you weren’t going to be here much longer unfortunately.
while you were lost in your thoughts, you found yourself ending up at the old astronomy tower. you hadn’t been here in two years.
the view was as gorgeous as ever, and the cool air grazed your cheeks so pleasantly. and it dried the tears quicker than you could wipe them.
the memories of the night two years ago were too painful to think about too much. you regretted it so much but still, you often thought about his words. “when you can finally take action and stop being so ashamed of me.. come find me”.
you sometimes wondered if that offer still stood. what if he’d grown tired of waiting? dating isn’t huge news in hogwarts so there was a chance he’d already moved on. your heart broke at the thought. you berated yourself for feeling like this. he was the one that got hurt, not you.
maybe you could fix things between the two of you. you were hopeful, but if you were to be honest with yourself it was all in vain. until you’d be able to stand up to your parents there was no use.
their obsession with keeping up their high status in the wizarding world wasn’t something that you could make disappear in a night.
you continued to look up at the stars, if they were going to be like this, was there even a point in continuing to be a part of their false idea of a family. you were smart enough to get a well paying job, so even if they did abandon you, it’s not as if your life would be over. and you were certain your friends were much more loyal to you than your family, so it’s not as if they’d let you rot slowly away while living with regret.
if only you had realised this back in fifth year you thought to yourself. you were fine with losing a family that was practically never yours, but losing jeonghan who only had love for you was the most stupid decision of your life.
you had decided that after your final day, and when all your classmates will part ways ready for the future, you’d find jeonghan and tell him everything.
——- ★
“how was the exam?” nayeon smiled nervously at you. it was easy to tell she was happy but she was being careful in case it wasn’t the case for you.
you sighed, making yourself look as sad as possible before giggling at her worried expression, “it was amazing!”
“what-? you had me worried!” she whined, pushing you lightly and then pulled you into a hug. from the corner of her eye she saw soonyoung and immediately turned to him, “how was it?”
“so much better than yesterday! i owe it to you nayeon i think i would’ve failed if you didn’t force me to study” he high-fived her. “cheol how’d you find it?”
“they were all pretty great for me soonyoung, i didn’t wait until the last minute like some idiot” seungcheol smirked when soonyoung started to sputter in offence.
you laughed again, but your mind was still distant from everything happening in front of you. looking around, you spotted where the slytherin’s were, jeonghan laughing with joshua’s arm around him. you had to wait until he was alone and it was probably going to have to be after dinner.
you decided to finish up on packing instead, you’d all be heading out tomorrow and getting your results in the mail after a few days.
as you emptied out the last of your things you noticed something. a small, thin silver bracelet. jeonghan had given it to you on your guys’ third date and you’d kept it ever since. you wore it everyday while you were together but wearing it after that night was too painful. you let out a breath you’d been holding in, slipping the bracelet on so it sat pretty on your wrist.
you couldn’t eat much at dinner, your eyes kept turning to where jeonghan sat, hoping he’d get the signals you were sending.
you thought maybe he did when he left earlier than his friends. thinking this was your chance, you waited a minute or two to head in the same direction, trying to be as discreet as possible. you continued to follow where he was heading, confused when he walked to the astronomy tower.
“how long are you going to just keep following me?” jeonghan muttered annoyed, turning around to stare you in the eyes when you wouldn’t respond. his expression was saying ‘go on’.
“i wanted to talk to you-”
before you could finish, jeonghan laughed bitterly. “this is a familiar scene isn’t it. the same astronomy tower and you’re saying the same thing”
“han please just-”
“don’t call me that” he spat bitterly, cutting you off. “the only thing that changed is that we finally feel the same”
you looked at him confused for a few seconds, ‘what the hell was he talking about?’
“two years ago, i loved you. so, so much. but you didn’t love me back, we didn’t feel the same. but now we do. you hate me like you did back then, and i hate you too. isn’t it just hilarious how the world works”
you couldn’t speak. ‘i hate you too’ the words echoed in your mind. you wanted to tell him that it wasn’t true, you never hated him and you never could hate him. that even today you still love him. but the words died in your throat to make space for the lump forming in it. “jeonghan-”
“yn” he turned back to look at you, “don’t try to find me anymore”.
it wasn’t fair. the first time he had called you by your name in two years and it was to tell you that he never wanted to see you again.
he didn’t care about you. his offer didn’t mean anything, he didn’t want you to find him.
it wasn’t fair because you cared about him, to you that offer was a last hope, you had already found your soulmate.
but he didn’t care. he saw the tears in your eyes and scoffed, walking away from you and not even looking back once.
sniffing harshly, you bitterly wiped your tears, deciding to retreat for your dorm for the rest of the night, waiting for the trains to take you away the next morning. away from hogwarts, away from life as you know it, and away from a life with jeonghan.
Tumblr media
“lumos” jeonghan gripped his wand loosely, having just shot up from the sound of someone in his house.
“jeonghan! happy birthday!” jeonghan winced at his friend’s loudness, groaning as he rubbed the sleep from his eye. looking over at the bedside table, he saw the clock read 00:03.
“what the hell are you doing in my house at midnight?” jeonghan looked at his friend unimpressed, but any threatening looking act he was trying to put on was undone by his messy bed head.
“wishing you a happy birthday!” he motioned to the balloons to which jeonghan rolled his eyes. “oh come on, it’s not everyday your best friend turns 25 is it? here make a wish”
joshua brought a small cupcake with a single candle lit to jeonghan, and he’d be lying if he said there wasn’t a smile creeping onto his face at his friend’s efforts. he blew out the candle, giving a hug to his friend. “thanks shua”
joshua smiled brightly, “your welcome, what’d you wish for by the way? because if i were to make a suggestion i’d tell you to wish for a girlfriend because-”
“you’re starting to sound like my mother, you know?” jeonghan whined, taking a lick of the cupcake’s frosting.
“look i’m sorry! but usually this type of thing would be done by somebody’s partner- not t eir best friend” joshua reasoned, taking a seat on jeonghan’s bed.
“well it’s not exactly like i asked you to do all this” jeonghan mumbled under his breath, “not that i don’t appreciate it of course!” he quickly added on seeing the look joshua always has when he’s mad. and an angry joshua was not something jeonghan wanted to deal with at 12am.
“whatever. have you got work in the morning?” joshua took a cupcake for himself from the box of a dozen.
“yeah, someone from a different department’s transferring to ours. i’ve got to introduce them to the team and sort of like- mentor them i guess. well it’s more like just showing them the ropes but you get the idea. anyway i’ve got to do that for a week”
“aren’t you the head of the department?” joshua looked at him confused.
jeonghan finished off his cupcake, throwing the paper into the bin near his door. “i am, but i thought i’d just introduce them. we don’t get new people often-”
“because you people have some crazy elite department-”
“we don’t get new people so i thought i’d be nice and introduce them myself”
joshua stared at his friend for a few seconds. “the minister told you to do it didn’t he?” he smirked.
jeonghan’s eyes widened, ‘how the hell did joshua see through him?’ “look whatever! maybe choi seungcheol was on my ass about it a little more than usual for some reason but i don’t care! now goodnight!”
joshua laughed at his friend before deciding to head to the guest room for the night, he still had to get everything for jeonghan’s party set for later. hopefully one of his surprises wouldn’t completely fall through.
——- ★
“so you’re transferring next week?” nayeon asked you while she took a sip of her drink. the both of you were currently at your friend soonyoung’s quidditch match.
“that’s what cheol told me yeah” you kept an eye on the game, trying to follow soonyoung but it was hard considering he was the seaker so he constantly moved from one side of the field to the other in mere seconds.
“that’s great!” nayeon smiled before it dropped seeing the dejected look on your face, “isn’t it?”
“it is! it’s just- for some reason they’re making the head of the department stay with me for my first week” you rubbed the back of your neck sheepishly.
nayeon frowned confused, “that’s weird. did you ask cheol about that?”
when you opened your mouth to speak you were cut off by a bludger almost hitting right to the side of the bench where you were sat. before it could connect however, the referee made quick work of whipping out his wand to divert it back to the middle of the field.
you breathed heavily, “that was a close one! thank you!” you called out to the referee, “but uh anyway yeah the transfer. i didn’t want to bother cheol with asking him why the head’s sticking with me this week. it’s already amazing he’s putting the transfer through”
nayeon nodded, looking away from you to look at the match again. currently, soonyoung and the opposing team’s seaker were neck and neck, fingertips grasping for the snitch. both you and nayeon shouted cheers for soonyoung and his team, the cheers getting louder as soonyoung got closer.
after a tense chase, soonyoung finally managed to grab the snitch, using his broom to fly through the crowds, waving at the two of you when he spotted where your seats were.
Tumblr media
“just through that lift and you’ll be right there lovely” the old lady at the receptionist smiled at you.
you nodded your head and thanked her before going to where she pointed out. the nerves were secretly eating you up.
you checked the small mirror in the elevator to help you freshen yourself up. you’ve had new jobs before, and nerves never hit you on your first day. but the fact that you’ll have to immediately jump into having your boss practically watching your every move and breathing down your neck. ‘get a grip you were a gryffindor for a reason’ you mentally motivated yourself.
the elevator made a sound indicating you were here causing you to take one last look and make sure you looked alright.
the owl you received told you that you’d have to meet the head in his office. you looked around for it, but couldn’t really spot it what with everyone walking around. it must’ve been break time you supposed.
“hi!” you said to one of the workers you spotted near the coffee machine, he returned your smile. you checked his name tag and saw his name was hansol. “i just transferred here and i was told to meet with the head at his office. could you just point where it is?”
he nodded, taking the last sip before throwing the paper cup into the bin. “sure, follow me. it’s a bit far i’m not going to lie”
suddenly you felt bad about making the poor guy use his break to take you to this office, you could’ve just looked around until you found it.
“so what’s your name?” hansol turned to you. “there was a mental situation with the owls and we never ended up getting the file with your information, just the news that there was a transfer”
you blinked at him. a situation with the owls? “oh that’s weird. well i’m yn” you held out your hand for him to shake and he returned it with his own introduction and a nice to meet you.
the both of you continued to walk until you reached a large bookshelf covering an entire wall. you saw vernon reach for wand before reciting an ‘alohomora’ under his breath.
you watched as the book shelf parted vertically in the middle, stepping back cautiously. it revealed another door, and hansol told you that all you needed to do was knock and wait for him to answer.
“by the way it’s his birthday today, so if you mention that later it’ll get him in a good mood” that was the last thing hansol told you before leaving.
his birthday was today? you quickly decided to make a note of it after knocking on the door, october 3rd.. who else’s birthday was on october 3rd?
you went through a mental list of whoever you’ve been close to, none of their birthdays being october 3rd? who the hell was it?
your thoughts were cute off by the door swinging open, your new boss standing right at the frame. oh, that’s who you were thinking of.
“good afternoon, i’m the head of this department my names yoon jeonghan,” he still hadn’t looked up at you, “if you don’t mind could you just tell me your name, you might’ve heard the issue with the owls-” he finally looked up, the color draining from his face.
“i’m ln yn” you held your hand out for him to shake, “i look forward to working here”
you weren’t honestly expecting jeonghan to return the handshake, but surprisingly he did. the initial shock hadn’t run out yet, he still really couldn’t believe you were here.
slowly, an awkward atmosphere encased the two of you. you cleared your throat, “uh, happy birthday! hansol told me..” you trailed off at the end.
you looked up at him and all of a sudden you were 16 again, unable to decipher what the slytherin was feeling. you knew for sure he couldn’t be happy about this entire thing though.
despite your thoughts, jeonghan had actually plastered a smile on his face. “thank you. come inside and we’ll discuss what the following week’ll be like”
you nodded before following him into the office, closing the door behind you. jeonghan motioned for you to sit on the chair opposite from his behind the desk.
when you sat down the nerves hit you again. all of a sudden all you thought about the last time you saw jeonghan, what he said to you. to not look for him anymore.
you started to play with the bracelet on your wrist, and you mentally facepalmed at how it was the one jeonghan had given you all those years ago.
to be fair, it was a beautiful bracelet, and it just so happened to be the one you reached for randomly this morning.
“so as you might already know, i’ve been told to show you the ropes this week. i’m not entirely sure why, it obviously can’t be great to have to get right to work with your new boss watching you, but regardless that’s what minister choi has asked for” jeonghan sighed, checking through a file.
your brows furrowed at the last sentence, ‘seungcheol asked him to?’ weird. it’s not like he knew about you and jeonghan.
“what we’re going to be doing for today is just getting you settled in. i’ll show you around, tell you what it is we do here and why and answer any questions you might have” he said it all so professionally and you wondered why you couldn’t do the same. how was he being so normal about this?
“so before we start, any questions?” he looked up from the file and straight at you.
your eyebrows raised for a second in surprise, “not yet no, thank you”
jeonghan nodded before standing up, “we’ll get started on that tour now. follow me please” he held the door open for you, shutting it behind you before motioning for you to follow him.
after about an hour you were done with the tour and meeting everyone. you could tell why this was branded as a more ‘elite’ department.
“your office isn’t completely done yet so you hang around in here until the end of the week” jeonghan said, pointing toward his office, his other hand in his pocket.
he lead you both back into the office, sitting at his desk before rubbing his face in his hands and stifling a yawn. he looked up and saw you standing awkwardly a couple of steps from the door. and you might’ve been going crazy but you swear there was a smile pulling at his lips.
“yn, you can come sit, it’s fine” he said softly, using his wand to bring the work that needed to be done for today.
you carefully watched what he was doing when you were sat, taking mental notes as to how he does it so you wouldn’t get ridiculed for something in a week or two.
your attention started to drift after a few minutes it happened to end up focusing on jeonghan’s hand. you saw he didn’t have any ring on meaning he definitely wasn’t married. maybe he was dating someone- wait why do you even care? the two of you broke each other's heart years ago and are only talking now because of a coincidence of working together.
“so how have you been?” jeonghan asked you catching you off guard. he looked at you, shooting you a look that said he was being serious and it wasn’t a trick question.
“i’ve uh- i’ve been good” you smiled awkwardly, “after school finished it's just been work, you know? probably been the same for you” you laughed awkwardly.
he smiled himself nodding in agreement, “yeah it’s been a little tiresome i can’t lie. but i haven’t really taken a chance to have a break. even now i haven’t even had time to meet new people, that’s why i’m stuck with shua” he laughed at the end and you hated how warm it made you feel. you always loved the sound of his laugh.
you hummed, agreeing to what he was saying. truth be told you never really bothered too much about making new friends after hogwarts, you had the few people that you loved and cared for and they were enough.
you’ve obviously met new people along the way but there was no new relationship that stuck out to you.
“how is everyone else anyway? obviously i already know how minister choi is” jeonghan chuckled, voice breathy, “but how about everyone else? i’ve heard about soonyoung joining a quidditch team”
“yeah he did! right now nayeon’s working at a place in diagon alley to do with herbology, but she’s said she wanted to try applying to be a herbology teacher for hogwarts”
“that’s great” jeonghan said in awe, “shua’s the same more or less. his family’s got one of the biggest accounts at gringotts so he doesn’t have to worry about working for a long time”
you thought back for a second, joshua’s family had about the same social status in the wizarding world as your parents did, so frankly speaking it’d make sense why he didn’t bother working. you would do the same if it wasn’t for the fact that working kept your parents distracted from telling you that you needed to marry guwon any one of these days.
your mood turned sour remembering what your parents constantly remind you. their obsession with being acknowledged and having a high status always took a toll on how they actually were as parents. they were awful, and it didn’t help that you were thinking about all of this in front of jeonghan, the person you lost because you couldn’t stand up to your parents.
“yn? you alright?” jeonghan waved his hand in front of your face a few times, retreating his hand when you nodded.
“sorry just spaced out for a second” you rubbed your eyes.
jeonghan stared blankly at your wrist, there was no way right? “is that the same bracelet that..?” he trailed off at the end, but you knew exactly what he said.
you cleared your throat, “oh! yeah i think so?” you lied straight through your teeth, you knew it was the one he’d gotten you. “it was just with the rest of my stuff and it caught my eye, thought it looked nice”
jeonghan nodded, honestly a little.. dejected? there was no way, who were you kidding?
——- ★
“so anything fun happen at work today?” joshua asked jeonghan in the way to the birthday dinner.
jeonghan looked over at his friend, confused. he almost never asked about work.
“not really..” jeonghan looked at him confused. “well actually- you remember that girl yn ln from school? same year as us but she was in gryffindor?”
“you mean your ex?” joshua looked back at jeonghan.
“yeah” jeonghan muttered, “look whatever point is- she was the transfer to the department”
“really?” joshua said surprised, parking the car outside of the restaurant. “that’s random”
“that’s what i thought” jeonghan mumbled, taking off his seatbelt and walking toward the restaurant with his friend.
the dinner was great, jeonghan enjoyed spending time with his friends. he couldn’t see as often these days, being the head of department didn’t give him much free time.
as he and his friends were getting ready to leave, jeonghan felt someone tap his shoulder to get his attention. he turned around to see a familiar face but he just couldn’t put his finger on it.
“jeonghan! it’s been a while” the man pulled him into a hug making jeonghan go a little stiff. the man pulled back to smile at jeonghan, frowning at how confused he looked. “it’s me.. moon guwon? you don’t remember me?”
“oh you” jeonghan muttered, rage growing in his body. “yeah i remember you. what do you want?”
guwon looked at the longer haired man for a few seconds, taken aback at his reaction to seeing him again.
“well uh, there’s an event on the 20th next month. the family organising it would like you to attend. you too, joshua” guwon plastered a smile at the two of them.
“sure, why not?” joshua sighed, “we’ll see you then guwon”
——- ★
“yn!” a voice called for you as you were about to step onto the elevator. you looked around and saw jeonghan catching up to you a few feet away.
you held the elevator open, giggling to yourself at how he was winded from just running over to the elevator.
jeonghan glared at you playfully, “you’re really laughing at your own boss?”
“my mistake, sir” you stifled another laugh.
“unbelievable” jeonghan scoffed, placing his hand on his chest to feign hurt. “and here i was thinking you were such a nice person”
“i don’t recall me doing anything particularly wrong” you said thoughtfully, placing your finger on your chin for good measure.
considering your last memory of each other from when you were teenagers was him saying he hated you and never wanted to see you again, he really did stick closely to you when you started working with him.
on your off days he was the first to notice. at first you excused it with the fact that you simply had to share on office together and he’d always been perceptive; but even after your office was finally ready, he still managed to always be with you.
he was so good at reading you and so keen on making sure you were alright, that hansol had to stifle a laugh every time he saw you and jeonghan flustered by the other’s actions.
Tumblr media
“yn, sit with us” you heard your mother tell you as soon you stepped into your home. shrugging off your shoulder you internally screamed imagine what they’d be like while they were here.
you sat on the couch, not bothering to properly greet either of them. “what’s this about now?” you sighed, already annoyed.
“your mother and i will be hosting an event on the 20th next month, make sure you’re there” your father told you plainly.
“why? you lot never haven’t invited me to any of these events, why do you want me to come to this one all of a sudden?”
“stop talking back, yn” your mother muttered, her face irritated. “but if you really must know, the moon’s will be there. and they’ve been thinking, and so have we, that we might as well finally set your engagement with guwon in stone”
“it’ll be at a public event too, it’ll bring even more attention to us” your father smirked and you had to physically stop yourself from rolling your eyes. it was always about publicity with these people.
you tried not to dwell on it too much, but your heart dropped at how your parents wanted the engagement to be set in stone.
——- ★
“yn, are you alright?” jeonghan asked you one day from his seat at his desk.
he’d called you in because it seemed like there was a short evaluation that day at work, so everyone was brought to his office. it wasn’t anything serious, just a quick discussion on how everyone’s work was going and nobody was going to be fired from it.
“i’m alright, this job is great and-” you started to answer him smiling.
“no- sorry, i meant, are you alright? i’ve noticed you seem a little down these days..”
“oh” you breathed out, “yeah don’t worry about it i’m alright, just slept bad last night” you smiled to which he nodded and that was the end of it.
“you’re sure?” jeonghan furrowed his eyebrows before sighing. “look yn.. i care about you- because you’re my employee of course” he sputtered out.
“and you know we want this to be a positive environment so- look how about we just go out for lunch and it’ll distract you a little?”
“lunch?” you looked at him confused. it was cute to see him like this honestly, and it reminded you of how he was when you guys started dating but he was afraid you wouldn’t like how affectionate he was.
it’d probably only make you sadder tonight but you didn’t care. nodding while a smile easily melted onto your face, “i’d love to”
Tumblr media
“you’re really good at sucking up to people you know” jeonghan snickered to his friend after a potential business partner left.
throughout the entire event, many businessmen approached joshua, telling him all about how he and his family’s business would prosper by creating ties with them. and it amused jeonghan to see his friend have to pretend to be interested and give them false promises that he’d look into their offers and get back to them. in reality he’d tell them when they contacted him in a few weeks that his family wasn’t interested and that’d be the end of it.
“nice to know you find this so funny” joshua yawned, taking another drink from the tray.
across the hall, you spotted jeonghan immediately. you’d spent the last few weeks getting to know each other again, so you looked forward to at least having his company tonight. the only two problems were that one: both of you refused to acknowledge your past together and two: you were slowly starting to fall for him again.
it wasn’t hard to. he was the same as he’d been when you fell for him the first time. always so mischievous on the surface but to the very few people who could scratch that surface, he was one of the most kind hearted people you’d ever seen.
you were afraid you knew where this was going to go. if you hadn’t fallen in love with jeonghan again, you suppose you could have eventually stopped despising a life with guwon, but now that you’ve spent even a second with jeonghan, you know you’d never be able to accept this life you were going to be forced to live with guwon.
against your better judgments, you let your feet walk you over to jeonghan, smiling brightly at him when he saw you. “jeonghan, joshua! how are you both?”
“yn, hi, it’s been a while” joshua smiled back at you. he looked between you and jeonghan for a few seconds before chugging the rest of his drink, “i’m going to head to the bathroom, you guys have fun without me” he patted jeonghan on the back before he left.
“you didn’t tell me this event was yours?” jeonghan chuckled, accusing you playfully.
“you didn’t tell me you’d be coming!” you matched his playful energy. you observed him for a few more seconds and could tell he was out of energy. “are you alright?”
“hm? yeah” he hummed, “i don’t really like really social events much, lose energy at them far too quick” he laughed lightly.
“why don’t you follow me to that table at the balcony then? it’ll give you a break from everything else” you tried to persuade him.
“trying to get me away from everyone, are you?” he teased, wiggling his eyebrows but following you up on your offer regardless.
the view from the balcony was gorgeous, but part of you felt sick at how familiar it all felt, especially with him of all people. you shook your head, continuing to admire the view while trying to bite back the memories.
you felt something grasp at your hand, soft fingers wrapping around your own. you looked down at it to see jeonghan staring right back at you. and that was the last thing it took for tears to spill.
jeonghan panicked, cupping your face immediately and wiping away the tears, hushed whispers comforting you as he swayed you back and forth.
you couldn’t help the way you melted into his touch. you missed him too much. you didn’t fall in love with him again, you just never really fell out of love with him.
“you know..” jeonghan whispered, his chin pressed to the crown of your head, “that night i told you that i hated you..”
you felt like you were going to sob at him reminding you of that night before you nodded.
“i didn’t mean it. i could never hate you but i’d rather lie than live with the fact that you didn’t feel the same about me” he whispered.
“but i did feel the same about you hannie!” you cried, burying yourself deeper into his shoulder.
“then why didn’t you do something about it sooner yn?” his own voice cracked and he sniffled harshly, “you took so long and it was stupid of me but i couldn’t live like that anymore”
“no it wasn’t stupid of you” you hugged him tighter, “you were hurt and it was selfish of me to put you through all that”
the two of you stayed like that for a few minutes, crying and spilling your guts to each other. everything you both wanted to tell each other for last ten years spilling out now at once.
when you both pulled away, you stared at him for him a few more seconds. you brought your face closer to his, pressing your lips to his own. when he pulled away he smiled at you, the same smile that you’d loved for years. you took his hand in yours and looked at him seriously, “you were right about how i should stand up to my parents, so now i’m going to do something i should’ve done ages ago”
before you could take him to your parents, jeonghan stopped you. “what are you-”
“i already know you mean it now yn” he smiled at you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you closer to him, “i just needed to know you thought i was worth it. you don’t need to tell them now, im not in a rush. as long as i know you love me and that i love you, there’s no rush”
you nodded, tears welling up again and jeonghan cupped your cheeks again.
“my poor baby, what’s wrong?” he cooed at you.
“just missed you so much, glad we found each other again”
jeonghan smiled down at you before pressing a kiss to your forehead, “yeah? so am i”

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
I was staring up at the ceiling. It was already 9:44am but I couldn't get myself to move. My hands were clutching onto the comforter. I recognized the room that I was in, but I couldn't quite recall the series of events that got me here. That is, I wasn't sure how I ended up here in Soonyoung's room practically naked.
Last night, the guys held their monthly dinner. You haven’t met all the boys, but you knew how much they meant to Soonyoung. They were his brothers. All the boys held different careers, which made it difficult for them to meet up consistently. What you always loved about their friendship was their dedication towards one another. For that reason, they all promised one another to meet up at least once a month.
You were also out last night. That you do remember. You went out on a date with someone named Jesse. While you two had things in common, the chemistry lacked. You tried giving your date as much attention as possible, but found yourself checking your phone more times than you’d prefer.
"Hey, where are you? Guys want to go out to the bars and I miss you 😔"
Thank goodness for Soonyoung. That text he sent was a lifeline you didn't know you needed. Feeling a bit guilty, you made up a white lie to tell your date.
"I'm so sorry, I need to get going. My roommate locked herself out of our apartment, so I need to go let her in. Text me?"
Before your date could ask for any additional details, you grabbed your purse and jacket and took off running towards the exit. The nearest train station was about a block away, so you didn't need to run far. You wanted to give off the impression you were in a rush, and you genuinely were. You were just in a rush to make the most out of your evening.
"There she is! Finally! Now we can have a great night," Seungkwan teased as he saw you approaching.
Soonyoung turned his head around to see you, a wide grin on his lips. "That bad of a date you showed up 10 minutes after I texted you?" He teased.
"Okay, bad isn't the word that I would use to describe it, but you could say that," you laughed. "Why would I want to be with a stranger when I can be with a few of my favorite people?"
Out of the band of brothers, you've met Seungkwan, DK, Jun, Minghao, Mingyu, and Woozi. Looking around, there was a full group which caused you to stand up a bit straighter. You at least wanted to give a good first impression before the drinks start pouring.
"So this is the infamous y/n?" One man called out. He had somewhat longer hair, pulled back into a tiny ponytail. He wore a smirk on his lips, amusement written all over his face.
"And you must be Jeonghan," you said, to which the boys were amused. Jeonghan nodded, offering his glass to you before taking a sip.
"At your service." "To cause chaos? Oh god, Hoshi-hyung, you think that's a good idea?" one of the younger man asked.
He seemed a bit older for his age, but was quite young in the face. If you didn't know better, you'd think he was a minor who snuck into the bar. His eyes bounced around the room as he took careful look at everyone. You always admired people who naturally look out for others, especially in social settings like this.
"Let me guess! You are Dino? The kind younger brother who needs to let loose a little?"
The boys snickered as Dino's cheeks flushed. He muttered something under his breath before taking a sip of his beer. "I mean, she's not wrong, Dino. We've been trying to get you to come out with us for months!" One of the other man pointed out.
"Hey! Just because you all barely graduated doesn't mean I'm not taking it seriously," Dino defended himself.
The group began to settle a bit. You always adored Soonyoung's friends, and you were grateful he was introducing you more to his world. And it seems like his closest friends thought highly of you. You couldn't help but wonder how much Soonyoung paid or threatened them to not say anything too outrageous.
"Y/n, what's your liquor of choice?" "Tequila!"
All the guys looked at you as if you had a second head. You raised an eyebrow and shrugged before calling over the waiter, ordering 14 shots for the table. All the while, Soonyoung wore a prideful grin on his lips.
"Hyung, I think you found someone who is right at your level." "Just proves that y/n is the best," Soonyoung responded, winking at you.
You weren't sure if it was the warmth of the room or what Soonyoung just said that caused you to feel your cheeks get warm. You were just grateful to be concealed underneath the lights, so you weren't completely exposed. However, it seems maybe Seungcheol noticed. You've always been warned he has a watchful eye on the entire group.
The waiter, your saving grace, brought over the 14 shots. He laid down the serving tray before you all. Thank goodness. You were the first to grab a shot glass, raising it in the air as a way to pivot the conversation. "Here's to a fun night, boys," you announced.
All the boys eagerly joined you. Seungcheol had a smirk, eyebrow raised. You didn't want to make things too obvious because you knew the rest of the group would start asking questions. And you didn't need that type of pressure when you weren't even sure why you were feeling the way you were.
Much to your delight, the conversations were flowing. You were getting along with all the guys, some of the asking about you and others wanting details about your friendship with Soonyoung. They were probably seeking details they could tease him about. But that also meant that the drinks kept coming thanks to Soonyoung.
And the whole time, Seungcheol was sitting back and watching you. As if he was anticipating for the moment your honesty slips, that you might have feelings for your best friend.
Sure, you've always found Soonyoung attractive. Not only was that true when it came to his physical appearance, but you also adored his personality. He was dedicated, driven, and genuine. Any girl would be lucky to call him theirs.
However, your friendship with Soonyoung was too important to you. You often tried to ignore your feelings, assuming that the reason why they were so intense was because you've been single for the past few months. Soonyoung gave you the attention you yearned for, but you didn't think things would eve work out between the two of you. You were friends first and last, nothing would change that.
As Soonyoung went to go to the bar to order another round, Seungcheol decided to swoop in to investigate. Your group had diminished slightly, making it easier to slide around the corner booth. Some of the guys were out on the dance floor, while others were attempting to flirt with people around the bar.
It was only you, Seungcheol, and Wonwoo at the moment. And Wonwoo was too absorbed in a video game on his voice. Surely, you would spill the truth with almost everyone occupied. Especially the one that conversation would be about.
"So," Seungcheol called out. He scooted closer to you, throwing an arm around you to lure you in closer. And also to keep your voices low, in case anyone would return. He wasn't about to let your little secret out in the open, not yet at least. "How long have you liked Soonyoung?"
Your eyes flew open. You had your body turned, so you were fully facing Seungcheol. The look on his face told you that you had been caught red-handed, that there was no use in lying. However, you were going to try your damn best.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," you laughed. But not even you could deny how warm and tingly you got just at the mention of his name.
"So you look at all your friends as if they walk on water?" "Actually, yes. All my friends are amazing. Not sure if you make the cut with how you're insinuating I could ever be into my best friend. He's like a brother to me." "Kinky, y/n," he laughed. "Come on, your little secret is safe with me. How long? Does he know?"
Seungcheol's face was close to yours. Your heart stammered as you were trying to rack through all the potential white lies you could tell him. Yet, with Seungcheol's strong gaze on you, you were trapped. The truth was about to come out of you one way or another.
"What am I interrupting here?" A voice called out.
Your head pulled back to see Soonyoung behind Seungcheol. You would've smiled, knowing the conversation with Seungcheol would be put on pause. Yet, looking at Soonyoung, something was wrong. The man who normally radiated positive energy had a frown. What happened?
Seungcheol glanced back before sliding away from you. "Oh, nothing at all. I was just chekcing in on y/n."
Soonyoung quickly looked at you, concern replacing the momentarily silence. You glanced between Seungcheol and Soonyoung, trying to catch yourself up on what just happened. All the while, Wonwoo had a smile curled on his lips. That you could tell from his phone's brightness illuminating his face.
"I don't think she feels good," Seungcheol explained. "I was going to get her some water before taking her home." "She's my best friend. I've got her."
Before you could even protest, Seungcheol slid out of the booth which allowed Soonyoung to get closer. He had his hand extended out to you. You glanced at the table to see 4 empty shot glasses on the table, almost like tiny islands. Where as there were a multitude of other empty glasses placed all over from the crew.
"Come on, sweet girl," Soonyoung cooed. "Let's go home."
That's all you can remember. Now, you were laying in Soonyoung's bed without Soonyoung.
"Rise and shine," a voice called out to you. You jumped as you were a bit startled since you were so deep in thought. Soonyoung leaned against the doorway that led to his bedroom. He had two mugs in his hand, hot with the steam rising out of them. But you were too distracted by the fact that he was shirtless and wearing a pair of grey sweatpants.
"Morning," you said softly. There was a slight headache coming on as you moved up, pulling the comforter alongside with you. "Have you been up long?"
He shook his head. He wouldn't confess yet that he has been up every two hours to check on you. You would feel guilty, feel as if you ruined his night especially since you crashed guys' night. Honestly, you being there was the highlight of his evening especially as all the guys commented how they liked you. How couldn't they? For the time being though, Soonyoung was just concentrating on taking care of you.
"No, doll, I haven't. Figured you might enjoy some coffee though, so I went ahead and a fresh pot. I also have breakfast bagels on the way."
Your face lit up as if it was Christmas day. He couldn't help but chuckle as he slowly pushed himself off the doorway. "I see you chose to get comfortable. Sleep well?"
Soonyoung always had this ability to move with such grace, such elegance. He basically floated from the threshold to the bedside. He placed the two mugs on the coffee table before giving you his undivided attention.
"Wait," you said, looking from the mugs back into his eyes. "You didn't sleep here last night? We didn't-" "Oh, y/n. Never would have let that happen," he vowed. "I slept on the couch in the living room. Do you remember anything after leaving the bar?"
Feeling a bit embarrassed and self-conscious, you shook your head. You quickly moved your gaze from your best friend, from your crush to the space in front of you. Your grip tightened on the comforter to make sure you weren't accidentally exposing yourself. "No," you sighed.
Picking up on your mood, Soonyoung quickly headed towards his closet. He began moving his fingers along the hangers, searching for sometihng. You could only hear the movement, assuming he was getting clothing for himself. He definitely was going to kick me out, especially since you stole his bed fort he evening. His couch wasn't the most comfortable thing.
But what are best friends for, I guess?
Soon, a grey hoodie was placed in front of you. You looked back to Soonyoung offered you a gentle smile, motioning with head to encourage you to put it on.
What really sent you for a spiral was the way he turned his back. He was giving you the privacy to slip the oversized clothing over your head. He made it too easy to fall for him.
Seeing that it wasn't up for debate, you quickly slipped the hoodie on. It fits on you like a dress which makes you feel more comfortable. It also smelled like him which solidified the fact that you had developed feelings for your best friend. Fuck.
You cleared your throat to signal for Soonyoung that it was okay to turn around. And when he did, you saw that adorable smile of his. He seemed satisfied to see comfortable once again.
Yet, in his eyes, you could see something was stirring. It was as if he was having a conflict within himself. What wasn't he telling you?
"So," he began, taking a seat at the edge of the bed. God, you were having flashbacks to your conversation with Seungcheol. Your eyes widened slightly as you were worried as to what Soonyoung was going to say. Did Seungcheol text him? "You and Seungcheol?"
It was as if the track record playing came to a screeching halt. You and Seungcheol? You couldn't help but tilt your head in confusion.
"I mean, I wouldn't mind. He is one of my best friends, but so are you. You guys could be cute together. I saw the way he was all over you when I went to get our drinks."
The man in front of you wasn't the confident Soonyoung you've come to adore. This was the Soonyoung who was afraid to be vulnerable, who didn't know if it was okay to communicate his feelings so openly. You could tell that he was anticipating anything, good or bad, by the way he played with his fingers.
"Soonyoungie," you sighed. "Please do not go setting me up with a stranger. He's a nice guy, but he's not my type."
Soonyoung lifted his head, confused. Okay, maybe Seungcheol would've been your type right when you met Soonyoung. You always had a thing for confident men. Which is why it has been so damn easy to fall for your best friend the more his personality began to shine. He is the loudest introvert you've ever encountered.
"But," Soonyoung began, running a hand through his hair. "Cheol-hyung is your ideal guy? That's the type you've always gone after ever since I met you." "What if I want something different?"
It was then, for the first time since sitting, Soonyoung seemed eager. He was like a little kid, always wanting to be looped into every plan and every secret. He looked hopeful. This was just one secret you had hidden from him. Until now.
"What if I told you I've been hiding something from you?" "We're best friends, y/n. We aren't supposed to have secrets," he pouted. "Maybe I was afraid of how you would react?"
He scooted closer to you. His hand moved up to reach offer a hand for you to hold. He always did that whenever he felt like you were about to be vulnerable, always wanting to reassure he was a place of comfort for you. And he was.
"I just feel like the person I might be meant to be with has been right in front of me this whole time. I'm tired of searching in other people for what I truly want."
You prayed internally Soonyoung would understand what you were trying to convey. You knew deep down that you shouldn't be tiptoeing around your feelings. However, you were bracing yourself for the worst which was rejection from your best friend. You could easily play it off that you were attracted to a co-worker or another friend if things went south.
"Like you have fallen for someone who knows you better than yourself?"
Your eyes widened at Soonyoung's statement. You didn't even notice that your hand had slipped into his. Until his fingers slipped in between yours. It was such a comforting feeling to feel his touch, but it was even more electrified under the tension in the room.
"Yeah," you whispered. "Like you have fallen for someone who completes you, who you've always been able to be yourself around." This time, you squeezed his hand gently.
He squeezed your hand back. "Someone like you."
The air left your lungs at how quickly the tables turned. You never imagined that Kwon Soonyoung would confess his feelings for you. It felt like a fever dream.
But you were brought back to reality at the feeling of Soonyoung's hand on your face. His thumb caressed your flushed cheek affectionately.
"I thought I noticed you blush last night, but I thought I just imagining things," he commented. His tone was so soft yet it struck you like a lightning bolt. You didn't even care that you had been caught red-handed. Everything was coming to light. "Why haven't you said something sooner, angel?" "Because I didn't want to lose my best friend," you confessed.
He couldn't help but smile at the sentiment. He hated knowing that you two have been practically on a carousel, too afraid to get off of it because you had become so content being best friends. Truthfully, Soonyoung didn't want to lose you either. He thought if he exposed his emotions he would scare you off.
"I'm not going anywhere," he vowed. Slowly, he leaned in to let his lips ghost over yours. You felt shivers run throughout your body as you tried to reassure your psyche this was reality. "Just say the word and I'm all in. No more bullshit, angel."
"Hell yes."
Soonyoung couldn't fight the grin against his lips. And you swear, you felt him smiler even wider feeling your lips against his. You were smiling just as brightly as you two broke out into a fight of laughter.
So this is what best friends are truly for, huh?

Tumblr media
It’s springtime, and the street is abustle with people and floral scents that capture the black lab hybrid’s attention while he waits patiently at the cafe with his best friend.
Seokmin is just as distracted by those passing by as Mingyu is, but every now and again his eyes drop to the tulips wrapped in simple newspaper that are set on the table in front of them.
“Is there a special occasion?” he asks, curiosity finally getting the better of him. “For the flowers?”
“No,” Mingyu responds, drinking the last of his coffee and eying the small present he’d picked out for you. “She just likes flowers.”
Just then, you turn the corner, coming into view, as your diligent puppy of a hybrid had known you would, and it’s as if time slows.
You’ve always been beautiful, but there’s something about the way you hold yourself in the spring- “She was why poetry was invented,” Mingyu whispers, “to describe girls like her.”
Seokmin is equally as transfixed by you- and he simply nods in agreement, eyes lingering on your form before shifting to the man next to you - your cousin, Jeonghan.
The black lab and golden retriever hybrids stand at attention for you and the man carrying your bags of shopping items-
“You would have hated it,” your cousin says to his hybrid while passing your bags over to Mingyu, “the perfume department even made me sick today.”
Your sharp smelling hybrids prefer to wait outside on days when you go shopping with your cousin, and neither Seokmin nor Mingyu mind waiting at the cafe, in fact, they have the option not to even come on these fashion outings- but they always do, because your hybrids stick to you like glue.
“I got these for you,” Mingyu says, pulling the tulips out from behind his back to present them to you.
Your cousin rolls his eyes, making a gagging noise while you wrap your arms around Mingyu’s neck and press your lips to his-
It’s been two years since your rich, hybrid activist family took in the black lab that’s taken over your life, and in those two years, Jeonghan has uttered the phrase a billion times-
“Puppy love.”
He hates it, but god damn is it cute.
Tumblr media
Mingyu had hardly been able to keep his hands to himself during the elevator ride up to your apartment- and when the doors had opened, you’d darted out, leaving your puppy hybrid in your dust with your shopping bags in his hands-
Of course, he’d caught you just as you’d gotten to your front door, as you’d know he would.
He’s kissing you before you’re even fully inside your home, somehow managing to toss the bags down, close the door behind him, and wrap you up in his arms all in a matter of seconds.
“Mingyu-” you laugh, pulling your lips away from his so you can look at the ceiling- “my flowers-” you giggle even more when your lover responds by hiking you up higher on his hips, forcing your legs around him now while taking long steps towards the kitchen-
“We’ll get you-” he groans while pressing open mouthed kisses up your neck, “a vase-”
Your diligent lab gets you close enough to the cupboard that you can open it and remove a glass jar for the tulips, all while continuing to tease your throat with his tongue and his teeth-
“Now water,” you command him- but instead, Mingyu takes you to the island countertop in the center of your kitchen, and a moment later, your black lab hybrid is setting you down on the cool marble.
“I’ll do the rest,” he tells you, putting one hand on your throat to stop you from getting up. “I got them for you, so I'll do the rest.”
His touch is gentle as it moves down your chest, between your breasts- and then Mingyu pulls away from you, collecting the jar and the tulips.
You take a deep breath, trying to relax against the cool countertop while you watch your boyfriend’s broad shoulders- he looks so good in white dress shirts. And his fluffy ears are almost lost in the dark, pretty curls on his head-
Then there’s the way his shoulders slim down to his waist- and the dress pants that accentuate his bum- and then there’s his tail-
God, Mingyu is so fucking hot- you can’t believe the bullshit about hybrid rights-
He hardly even “looks” like a hybrid half the time- and you’ve seen him fool a few people on the street before, girls who come up to talk to him before noticing the fluffy ear tufts sticking out of his hair-
You hate the way people treat him like lesser, and you feel a pang of guilt in your stomach that prompts you to sit up. “What if I wanna put the flowers in the vase?”
Mingyu looks over his shoulder at you while the jar fills with water, a grin on his face. “Stop it,” he tuts, “let me do this for you.”
“Can I do something for you after though?” you question, leaning back on your palms, which are flat to the counter, your feet kicking absentmindedly at the air while you impatiently wait for Mingyu to come back to you.
“Something like what?” Mingyu asks, tone low and playful- but he doesn’t look back at you this time, his eyes stay focused on adjusting the Tulips into the jar he’s working on-
“Something like…” you slowly shift off of the countertop, all but leaping at Mingyu’s back to wrap your arms around his torso, pressing your cheek into his back, “Something like making you feel good.”
“You always make me feel good,” Mingyu tells you, turning in your arms.
“But I want to make you feel extra good,” you pout, adjusting your form so you can brush your fingers through his pretty curls, nails scratching at the base of a fuzzy ear-
Mingyu groans at the feeling, eyes closing in enjoyment while his hands find your hips to tug you closer to his front-
“You know what you could do for me?” he says, leaning in to press a kiss to your lips that has your heart racing.
“What?” you continue to massage his right ear, peppering Mingyu’s under jaw in kisses-
“You could show me the things you bought with your cousin,” your hybrid lover says softly. “I hate that stores are too overwhelming for me to go in with you most days- and I want to see you all dolled up.”
Jeonghan has a reputation for treating family members to expensive shopping sprees, and Mingyu knows that any day with your cousin results in extra nice additions to your closet.
“Are you sure that’s all you want?” you tease, looking up at Mingyu with an endeared expression.
“It’s not everything,” Mingyu tells you, bringing his hand up to brush his thumb by your cheekbone, cupping at your face lovingly, “but it’s a start.”
“Okay then,” you give in, letting go of your boyfriend in favour of grabbing your bags from where he’d discarded them by the door, “one fashion show coming up.”
Your boyfriend picks up the vase, and you hear his soft footfalls as he follows you through the apartment to your bedroom.
“Can I put these on your desk?” he asks, narrowing in on one of the nicest locations to display the pretty flowers.
“Of course, baby,” you respond with a wave of your hand, heading into your walk in closet with your goodie bags. “You can put them anywhere you want- and I’ll just take a minute to get changed.”
“I’ll be here waiting,” Mingyu says happily, setting the flowers down before sitting on the foot of your bed.
He’s such a good, patient puppy.
You have three outfits to show Mingyu, and you decide to show the prettiest new item last, knowing that the slow build up of cuteness in each fit will drive your boyfriend wild.
When you step out of your closet, your boyfriend eagerly eats you up with his eyes, focusing on the denim that’s pulled tight across your bum-
“You look amazing,” Mingyu tells you, holding his hand out for you while continuing to look your body up and down. “Do a spin for me?” he asks once you’ve joined him by the bed, and you concede immediately.
“Do you like the jeans?” you ask, doing a little twirl for your lover.
Mingyu’s hands settle on your hips, stopping you mid-spin with your back to him, and he lets out a deep groan. “I love these jeans.”
He releases you with a light smack to your bum that has you giggling and dancing away, “Second outfit?”
“Second outfit,” he confirms. “Please tell me you don’t have like- ten.”
“Just two more, I promise… be patient” you grin, shutting yourself into the closet while you get changed again.
When you exit the closet this time, you’re in a look that’s more business and less casual; Mingyu sits up straighter, swallowing thickly.
“Wow,” he breathes, taking in the dress pants and vest shirt Jeonghan had picked out for you. “You look…”
“Gorgeous?” you suggest, allowing Mingyu to pull you between his knees again. “Perfect? Ethereal?” you continue to tease while he spins you around, but unlike last time, when he stops you with two hands on your hips, you’re facing him.
The big hybrid stands, and in that one shift he goes from looking up at you, to towering over your form.
“I was going to say,” Mingyu breathes, brushing his fingers over your collarbone to fix the simple gold heart necklace there, “you look good enough to eat.”
“Don’t I always?” you laugh, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before darting out of his grasp, “but you’ll have to wait, I have one more thing to show you.”
Your boyfriend groans in annoyance, sitting on the foot of the bed again, but he doesn’t say a word of protest-
This man would go to the end of the earth for you if you asked him to… luckily, the most you ask is for him to wait a few minutes before blowing your back out.
“You know,” you say, tugging on your third outfit, “you’re the one who wanted me to do a fashion show.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t consider the fact that I'd want to tear all the new things off of you.”
“You never consider that part,” you smile to yourself, zipping up the back of your dress. “Are you ready for the final outfit?”
“Are you ready for me to tear it off of you?” comes his quick retort, which earns your hybrid a giggle from the girl he adores most in the world.
“Only if you promise to be gentle-” you tell him, stepping out of the walk in to present yourself to your boyfriend, “it cost more than I care to admit.”
“Holy shit-” Mingyu whispers, jaw dropping as his eyes take in the pretty dress- “I mean,” he swallows thickly, “you look…” he trails off, standing and holding his hands out for you, and he shakes his head, a loss for words. “You look…” he tries again once he has you in his arms, and he touches your hands delicately-
“I look like one of Jeonghan’s dolls,” you say, referring to the girls your cousin has dated. He’s always had an eye for cutesy thing, and the poofy, tulle, baby doll dress you’re in is definitely something up Jeonghan’s alley-
But by the way Mingyu is reacting to you, literally speechless, you can see now that this style is up your boyfriend’s alley too.
“Are you going to answer me?” you tease, skin heating with embarrassment at having Mingyu’s full attention-
You’re used to having his full attention, but usually Mingyu’s big on talking, he’s big on praises and whispering sweet nothings that calm your anxious mind-
But right now, he’s quiet, and it’s not something you have any experience with.
“Baby?” you ask, trying to catch his eye while he gently prompts you to spin for him.
“Hmm?” he meets your gaze for a moment before it’s drifting back down to the dress.
“I said,” you let go of Mingyu’s hand in favour of pressing your palms flat to his shoulders, leaning up to get closer to the tall hybrid, “I look like one of Jeonghan’s dolls.”
“Prettier,” your boyfriend tells you, reaching down- in one quick motion he tosses you onto the bed, assessing your sprawled out form with hungry eyes, “so much prettier.”
“Yeah?” you tease, grabbing at the silky fabric and lifting it to expose more of your bare thighs.
“Uh huh.” Mingyu drops to his knees at the foot of the bed, and the one of his large hands clasps around your ankle. “The prettiest girl I’ve ever seen,” he says, dragging you towards him while you squeal with delight, “so so pretty-”
“Gyu-” his name leaves your lips as he begins kissing up your calf, pulling you closer and closer-
“And look at your pretty panties-” your boyfriend groans when they’re exposed by your dress bunching at your hips. he turns and presses his face into your inner thigh, taking a deep breath- “you wore my favourites.”
He’s always had a thing for white thongs- the kind of panties you’d wear to be married in- and you don’t mind catering to his kinks-
He’d told you once that it was one thing to be able to smell how wet you are, but another to be able to see it seeping through fabric, making your panties translucent with your need for him-
“I told you, I wanted to make you feel good today,” you explain, words breathy as you try to calm your racing heart- having Mingyu this close to your pussy always has your body reacting, and a muscle in your thigh jumps, eager to close around his head-
“But I want to make you feel good,” Mingyu protests, large hands snaking up to grab your waist, dragging you the final few inches to his mouth- you an feel his hot breath through your thong and it sends a tingle through you - “You’ll let me make you feel good, right?”
“Only-” you stifle a groan when your lover presses his tongue against your panties, keeping the fabric in the way so you can feel him, but you can’t feel all of him- “only if you let me return the favour.”
“After,” Mingyu promises before tugging your thong to the side with two fingers, his lips wrapping around your clit-
“Gyu!” you gasp at the contact, reaching down to gain hold of his hair- and you brush by a fuzzy ear in the process, earning a growl that goes straight through your core- “please-”
Mingyu eats you out like no one ever has before. He licks at you like you’re the last lollipop in a world that worships candy, and he’s a hundred percent intent of getting every last bit of your sugar coating his tongue-
And the hands that anchor your hips to the bed make it impossible to wiggle away, they keep  you exactly where Mingyu wants you, and he diligently works you closer and closer to an orgasm.
His long tongue prods at your entrance before pushing in, and you let out a gasp of pleasure, running your thumb over Mingyu’s ear while getting a better grip on his head-
Your motion only eggs Mingyu on, and he growls again, grinding his nose into your clit while he tongue fucks you, lapping at your walls-
“Oh my god-” you whimper, closing your eyes as your muscles tense, coiling at the oncoming high that is going to crash into you at any moment-
The man between your legs shifts suddenly, returning to your clit with a ferocity that matches the two fingers that easily slip into your wet heat-
God, the sounds of slurping fill the room-
“Mingyu!” you scream his name as your orgasm takes over, legs quivering around his head, toes curling, back arching, nails scraping against his ear-
“Fuck-” he groans, sending vibrations through your oversensitive body, earning even more whimpers of ecstasy- your sounds are like music to Mingyu, and he continues to eat you out, giving you everything he has- until you’re shaking.
Mingyu likes it when he makes you quiver from how good things feel-
He likes it when pretty little tears of pleasure roll down your cheek, leaving salty tracks he can trace with his tongue later-
When your boyfriend looks up at you, finally pulling away from your heat with a wet pop, he’s met with one of his favourite views in the whole entire world.
Your chest is heaving, eyes closed, and Mingyu knows there’s not one single thought going through that pretty little head of yours.
No, you’re big head empty- overwhelmed by the sensations running through your body- the endorphins-
And Mingyu would be lying if he said he wasn’t just as affected by your orgasm- sure, maybe not in the same way; his cock is pressing painfully hard against the front of his pants, yet to find release- but there’s something about the way your smell perfumes the room after he’s made you cum-
Your hybrid’s nose twitches, and he takes a deep breath, standing before casting his eyes to the flowers by the window momentarily.
He can smell the tulips too, and the notes of floral match the perfume you’d applied to your skin earlier, before meeting Jeonghan.
Maybe that’s why he likes springtime so much, Mingyu realizes, as he allows himself to be surrounded by scents that remind him of you.
Or maybe, it’s the cute outfits, he thinks, casting his eyes down to your body, which is still covered in the pretty little dress you’d bought-
He’d noticed the glossiness of the fabric before, but now that he’s towering over you, he can see how thin the material truly is-
Your nipples press up against the tight band that covers your chest, and Mingyu licks his lips with interest.
The bed dips when Mingyu sets one knee onto it, and your eyes finally flutter apart, looking up at him with a haziness while your mouth opens to speak-
“Mingyu?” you ask, allowing the hybrid to gently cover your body with his own, your hands grabbing at his shoulders to pull him closer-
“Yeah?” his lips find your neck, and he suckles on your sweet spot, earning a gasp  of pleasure and a tug at one of his ears. “Hey,” he groans, hips grinding down against your own.
“I said I wanna make you feel good,” you remind him, continuing to play with his ear, scratching at the base-
“Not-” he moans, body quivering before he pulls away from your neck and out of your reach, “not like that.”
You look up at your boyfriend, blinking, “but-”
“We haven’t even got your dress off yet,” Mingyu reminds you, playfully swatting at the hands that attempt to grab at his ears again, “if you keep touching me like that- it’s going to be embarrassing.”
“Embarrassing?” you pause, cocking your head at the man who’s skin is beginning to flush a pretty pink colour-
“I don’t want to cum yet,” Mingyu says with a sigh, shifting onto his knees, “not when there’s still so much I want to do to you first-”
“Like what?” you ask, sitting up in an attempt to get closer to him-
“I really wanna take this dress off of you for starters- but at the same time-” Mingyu rolls the two of you suddenly - now he’s the one below you - and his hands find the puffy tulle of your dress, “I want to enjoy the look of you a little longer.”
“The look of me?” you grin, adjusting the way you’re straddling your lovers waist.
“Yeah,” Mingyu breathes, pulling at some of the fabric that had been pinned between your bodies. He smoothes the dress before removing his hands and simply assessing you with eyes full of adoration. “You look so pretty.”
“You keep saying that,” you tell him, running your hand up his chest before wrapping it around his neck, applying the slightest of pressures while leaning over your boyfriend, bringing your lips next to his ear, “but your dick’s still not in me.”
“You’re so-” Mingyu groans, grabbing at your waist with fingers that dig through the dress, his hips pushing up to meet your own-
“I’m so…” you trail off, waiting for him to continue.
“Insatiable,” Mingyu growls, prompting you to sit up again, your hands flat on his chest to keep your boyfriend down while you look into his lust filled eyes.
“Me?” you laugh. “You could hardly keep your hands to yourself in the elevator.”
“I have an excuse,” Mingyu tells you, brushing your hands from his form so he can sit up, cupping your face while he assesses your expression, burning it into his memory.
“An excuse?” you prompt, finding the buttons at the front of Mingyu’s shirt while you quirk an eye brow in curiosity.
“Yeah,” your hybrid swallows thickly, his own fingers pushing the puffy sleeves of your dress off your shoulders- he leans in, pressing a gentle kiss to your racing pulse point, and he murmurs the next words against your skin, “Puppy love.”
“A fabulous excuse,” you laugh, but the sound quickly turns into a whine when Mingyu tugs the front of your dress down just enough to get your breasts out, his lips attaching to one nipple while he captures the other between his thumb and pointer- “Gyu!”
You do what you almost always do when Mingyu hits you with sudden pleasurable stimulation- you lace your fingers through his curls, paying special attention to his ears-
The groan that leaves your boyfriend as he tears his head away from your chest has your pussy fluttering with excitement, and Mingyu narrows his eyes at you.
“Sorry, I just-”
“You like teasing me,” he states.
“You’re the one teasing me!” you insist, laughing and pushing at his shoulders.
“Am not,” Mingyu says with the same stubborn tone, capturing your wrists in one hand- which only succeeds in accentuating your breasts, which are now pushed together between your arms-
Your hybrid puppy is easily distracted, and he releases your wrists just as quickly as he’d ensnared them, mouth immediately latching onto your sensitive nipple-
“See?” you groan, doing your best to grab onto his shoulders instead of his ears- “you’re teasing me.”
“No, I’m enjoying you,” Mingyu insists, mouth hot on your skin.
With a sigh, you snake one of your hands between your bodies, grabbing at the cock pressing up against his pants-
“Hey!” Mingyu groans, gently biting at your nipple in warning.
“What? I’m enjoying you,” you tease, repeating his earlier words. “Are you sure you won’t let me make you feel good? I really want to.”
It’s the final straw, and Mingyu breaks, taking a shuddery breath to ground himself before going into motion. The large lab hybrid flips the two of you easily, and he manhandles you into a head down, ass up position in record speed.
“Is this what you wanted?” he asks, lifting the dress to expose your ass and the pretty thong he hadn’t bothered to get rid of when he’d eaten you out. He tears your panties down your legs next, letting them get caught at your knees before his hands smooth over the expanse of your bum.
“I want you,” comes your needy response, and you wiggle your ass at him in an effort to entice your boyfriend-
You succeed.
Even without hybrid senses, you’re able to hear Mingyu’s fly being unzipped, and you let out a pleasured hum of anticipation, relaxing your cheek against the duvet. “I want you so bad” you whisper, “so bad-”
“Now who has to be patient?” your boyfriend teases, echoing what you’d said to him earlier.
“Well, you told me you were going to rip this dress off, and I’m still wearing it,” you respond.
“Because you look so pretty in it-” Mingyu says, and you can hear the smile on his voice. “My pretty little princess-”
You should have known the puff dress would have this effect on him- your boyfriend’s always had an affinity for when you get dressed up in girly outfits- but he’s never left your cute clothes on while fucking you-
And he usually takes things much faster than this- often you’re the one reminding your insatiable boyfriend to slow down, so to have him showing control today- it feels a little… off.
Something feels different, and you can’t put your finger on it.
“Baby?” you ask, just as he presses the head of his cock against your wet entrance-
“Yeah?”
“Are you okay?”
“Better than okay,” he responds lowly, rubbing himself between your pussy lips before pressing in-
You both take shuddery breaths at the feeling, and two large hands find your waist, pulling you back to the hips that push toward you-
“Are you okay?” he asks once he’s fully sheathed in your core, his body stilling while your core adjusts to the large, familiar intrusion.
“Yeah, I just-” you’re cut off by a moan that tumbles out of you when Mingyu shifts his hips, shallowly thrusting into you- “mmm, feels so good-”
Mingyu loves that you worry about him, loves that you’ve picked up on the non verbal cues- you’re always able to read him, whether it’s sensing that his pre-rut is about to start a day early, or pointing out a change in one of his plans-
He had been planning on stripping you naked, as he’d said he would, but when you’d come out in your pretty, light pink puff dress- he’d been so struck by your beauty and when the thought, ‘is this what you’d look like on your wedding day?’ ran through Mingyu’s brain, he’d become transfixed.
He’d wanted to enjoy the sight of you, to take his time- and he hadn’t been able to find the will in himself to take the dress off of your body- no matter how much he loves your naked form-
Looking down at you now, your pretty puff dress pushed up to your waist, his cock buried deep in your cunt- all Mingyu can think, as his hips snap harder and faster- is ‘wife, wife, wife-’
A word that’s always brought conflicted emotions for the hybrid, who knows how taboo official marriage between people like him and people like you can be-
You don’t care. He knows you don’t. In fact, last year, when legislation had gone into place that finally allowed hybrid/human weddings, your family had thrown a big party, and you were more overtly happy about it than half the hybrids at the event-
Because they’d known what you hadn’t clued into-
They’d known what Mingyu knows now, as he fucks you into your mattress, fuelled by a love as big and boundless as any human’s- that regardless of a piece of paper that ‘allows’ Mingyu to get you a ring - if he wanted to - there’s still a long way to go in terms of hybrid rights and actual acceptance.
Mingyu tries not to think about this sort of thing too often, but how can he not think about making you his wife while you’re dressed like this- moaning for his cock- begging for him to go faster-
He wants to go faster- god he wants to-
He wants to hit every milestone- he wants to get you a ring, wants to get down on one knee, wants to lift you off the ground and kiss you till you’re breathless when you say yes- he wants to move out of this apartment with the money he makes working at your family’s hybrid rights focused law firm and get you a house, with a yard, where he can fuck you under the stars and plant pretty flowers to make you smile-
He wants it all, and he wants it with you.
The position he’s in, however, is a bit of a mind fuck for the hybrid. Because on one hand, with your face buried in the pillows, you can’t play with his sensitive ears, and Mingyu can almost forget about the tail that brushes by his foot every now and again, he can almost feel like a ‘normal’ guy- but on the other hand, he literally has you in doggy-
“Gyu-” you whine loudly, hands bunching up in the sheets- “I wanna see you-”
No amount of internalized hybrid shame will ever get in the way of Mingyu adhering to your needs - not when they’re so clearly verbalized - and your lover concedes, pulling out of your core and flipping you onto your back, tearing your panties off before burying himself in your wet heat once more.
You wrap your arms around Mingyu’s shoulders, pressing your lips to his in fevered, needy kisses, and your boyfriend eats up your moans.
When you tilt your head to the side, gasping for air, Mingyu moves his mouth to your neck, teeth scraping your skin-
Mingyu also doesn’t usually mark you either.
Or at least, he hasn’t since the first three months when you started taking your friendship with the black Labrador hybrid to the next step-
You stifle a groan when Mingyu adjusts your leg on his hip, spreading you out in a way that has him pushing into you even deeper-
“Gyu-” you whimper his name, “I love you-”
Your boyfriend growls against your neck, and you feel the vibration bubble from his chest, which is pressed to your own, separated by two layers of fabric you’re kicking yourself for not discarding now-
“I love you more,” Mingyu insists, cupping your face in one large hand while slanting his mouth against yours with a newfound fervor.
“Nuh uh,” you fight back, wrapping Mingyu tighter in your own embrace, “me more.”
“No,” the curly haired angel above you laughs, thrusting into you even harder to accentuate his next words, which come out as more of a growl, “me more.”
“I’m gonna-”
“Me too-”
You let out a whine as your orgasm builds, and you can’t help yourself anymore, hands flying for Mingyu’s hair, weaving in his curls and latching onto one of his ears-
Your boyfriend groans loudly, a shiver running up his body as his thrusts get as wild as ever, your bed hitting the wall noisily with each powerful motion of his hips-
He kisses you when he cums, the sweetest of sounds escaping him while your own core clamps onto his cock, milking him of everything he’s got.
You continue to toy with his left ear until Mingyu’s all but panting from the stimulation, hips coming to a stop. He pulls his mouth away from yours, looking down at you with pretty parted lips and eyes that still kind of say ‘fuck me.’
“Are you sure you’re okay?” you ask, cupping at your boyfriend’s face with concern. “You don’t usually mark my neck- did I do something wrong today?”
“No, of course not,” Mingyu nearly laughs at the notion, taking a deep breath and adjusting the way he’s laying on top of you- your legs refuse to let go of his hips, and he knows better than to fight you on this- post sex cuddles are a ritual, and he’s not about to run away now because he’s feeling a little insecure. “You didn’t do anything wrong-” he tells you, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
Mingyu loves the way you give him talking space, staying quiet to give him full reign to collect his messy thoughts.
“Seeing you in this dress just- I don’t know,” he leans, planting more open mouthed kisses on your throat that have you giggling and pushing at his chest, “it just made me think of things.”
“Things?” you prompt, playful fingers finding the buttons at the front of his shirt that you’d never actually managed to finish undoing. “Things like…”
“I don’t know,” Mingyu sighs, adjusting the pretty necklace that had fallen into the hollow of your collarbone.
“Sure you don’t,” you tease, cupping at his face again.
He won’t meet your eyes.
“Does this have anything to do with, oh, I don’t know,” you sigh, “legislation that’s gone into place in the past year or so?”
Now Mingyu looks at you, and the expression on his face tells you that you’ve made a bull’s eye.
Your heart lurches, and his name falls from your lips; “Gyu-”
“I know you’re a big fan of the new laws but-” he cuts himself off, shaking his head and looking down again, focusing on your necklace.
“But…”
“But one law doesn’t change anything,” Mingyu says finally. “Yeah, it’s legal now- legal for me to see you in a dress like this- to have you walk down the aisle- to do our vows- but people still look down on it- people still judge-”
“Okay.”
“Okay?” he frowns at you.
“Yeah, so what if they judge?” you question. “A lot of them are hypocritical assholes anyways- you know as well as I do that hybrid human relationships are at an all time high- and I’m not just talking about the old way of things- I’m talking about real relationships- like ours- you can’t tell me you don’t love me-”
“It’s puppy love-” Mingyu brushes it off, as Jeonghan always does-
You laugh in shock before turning more serious, “You know it’s not though, right?”
He refuses to respond.
“Mingyu,” you say his name gently, rubbing the pad of your thumb across his cheek, “you know Jeonghan is just joking when he says puppy love- it’s a joke- because the way we feel about each other never changes- it’s stuck in the honeymoon phase.”
“The honeymoon phase,” the hybrid pressing your body into the mattress repeats.
“Yeah,” you nod. “Mingyu, I love you. My feelings aren’t ever going to change-”
“Mine aren’t either.”
“Then it’s not just puppy love, and I wish you’d be less hard on yourself.” You brush your fingers through his hair, allowing your boyfriend to rest against your neck before gently tracing the shell of his fluffy ear- which earns you a groan of pleasure and a gentle bite at your throat.
“Besides,” you continue, “in some countries, they have common law too,” you remind him. “So when places like the States and Canada passed their hybrid marriage legislation, according to common law, many of the couples, who’d already been living together as such for many years, became immediately recognized as practically married-”
“But we’re not there, we’re here.”
“All I’m saying, is that- regardless of any stupid ways the government may try to control it- there is no law that dictates love. Last year, before the new article was passed, if you’d have asked me to marry you, I still would have said yes.”
“Really?”
“Uh huh,” you insist. “They could try to throw me in jail if they wanted- but hey! The law does exist now, and trust me Gyu- it’s not going anywhere.”
“You really think so?” he asks, as the fear that the government would harshly take back the legislation with no warning and punish those who’d used it has definitely crossed his mind on numerous occasions.
“Trust me,” you repeat, looking into his eyes. “The world is changing for the better, and if you don’t want to get married ever, because of any reason, that’s okay too-”
“I do,” Mingyu blurts out, fixated on the way your expression immediately lights up.
“You do?”
“Of course-” now it’s his turn to laugh at you, “you have to know how much I’d love to marry you-”
“Then do it!” you taunt him, smiling as big as he’s ever seen you smile. “And no changing your mind like you did when you told me you were going to take off my dress, because this thing is getting very uncomfortable-”
Mingyu immediately lifts himself off of you, reaching a hand under your back to undo the zipper-
“What are you doing?” you laugh at the new spark that’s flared in your boyfriend’s eye.
“Following through,” Mingyu tells you as he removes the dress from your body, leaving you fully naked.
“Again?” you ask in shock, pussy still recovering from the pounding you’d just taken- in fact, you can feel his cum starting to drip out of you-
“Yeah,” Mingyu tears off his own shirt next, and your fingers twitch with the need to touch him, pulling him into a kiss that’s broken by the hybrid’s inability to keep from smiling. He looks down at you with brown irises that make you melt, “it’s not every day your girlfriend agrees to marry you.”
“I’ve been throwing myself at you all year waiting for this-” you protest with a laugh. “Who would have known all it would take is a near-white dress-”
Perhaps the man who’d picked it out for you… the cousin who’d watched you and your boyfriend with the fond term ‘puppy love’ on his lips… the cousin who’s closest confidant is Mingyu’s best friend.
“Jeonghan,” both you and Mingyu groan in unison, and your boyfriend looks to the dress that he’d removed from your body, sitting all pretty in a puff on the floor.
“Your cousin scares me,” Mingyu tells you, and the sentiment makes you laugh, pulling the hybrid into your embrace.
“He’s a little bit of an evil genius,” you admit, “still want to marry into the family?”
Your boyfriend smiles against your lips. “You couldn’t chase me away if you tried.”

…I can’t stop imagining college bf! jeonghan OH MY LORD!!! like I’m ready to risk it all bb lol
(college jeonghan would scare the hell out of me, and i would want him. we're going on a journey and starting with college jeonghan before you get together)
♡your friday morning lecture is the only class the two of you share
♡you have no idea why he’s taking it as a business major. maybe environmental ethics is required… hmm, unlikely
♡but he’s always early
♡like at least twenty minutes early because you’re early, and he’s always seated before you
♡sometimes, he turns around and smiles or asks if you’re ready for that day’s exam. other mornings, he’s so consumed by whatever's on his laptop that it’s like the hall is solely his
♡ooo on mornings when he has presentations for his business class, he wears a suit…
♡he’s smart as hell
♡he tutors in the library for statistics and the thought of that alone makes your brain tick
♡but he’s never there between 4 and 7pm because of soccer practice, at least during the fall semester. spring conditioning has a different schedule… or so you’ve heard. you didn’t look it up yourself. of course not. why would you?
♡you go to the home games with your roommate. she loops her elbow through yours and skips down the sidewalk with beaming excitement
♡luckily, she’s got her eyes on lee seokmin, but you’ll never admit you’re intrigued by the boy with a 23 on the back of his jersey… rows of bleachers are filled with people who feel the same way
♡she doesn’t even know you have a class together
♡and she definitely doesn’t know about the night he walked you home after the library closed. it was after midnight and raining and you could barely see five feet in front of you. you walked slowly because you were afraid to trip in the darkness, and he didn’t mind
♡he didn’t make a joke like you expected him to because you’ve heard he’s quite the joking type…
♡instead, he held out his hand from beneath the umbrella so the rain could wet it, and you watched the falling droplets gather when he cupped his palm
♡he smoothed his hair back, let the rain wet his dark strands, and you felt your lips part: he doesn’t even have to try. he’s so beautiful
♡he didn’t ask about the class you share. he didn’t mention the game-winning goal he scored two nights prior. instead, he asked about the grocery store that sits on the edge of campus and whether or not you know of a better one
♡the question was shocking, and you swallowed bubbling laughter, but managed to mention the market that’s a fifteen minute bus ride away when there’s minimal traffic. he asked about that too
♡he also asked if you were doing anything on sunday afternoon, wondered if you’d go with him, wondered if they sell spoons
♡no one has ever told you he’s a bit peculiar, but it’s wrapped up in endearing, hidden beneath the surface of his good looks and charm
♡you set your alarm that sunday, knowing you couldn’t follow your typical routine of sleeping until 2pm. no, you had plans, grocery store plans, with yoon jeonghan
♡he bought 20 spoons, microwaveable rice, and the biggest jar of kimchi. he also bought your almond milk, peanut butter, and lavender scented candle
♡he brought a tote bag, packed everything up himself, and kept it perched on his lap, with his arms around its canvas as you rode back to campus
♡the following friday, he’s late to class and sits right beside you. his hair's red. he switched his degree to liberal arts

Wonwoo is a busy man. I mean of course he is. The stelar kid of the family, the only child to get a medical degree and also the one to have a fiancé at the age of thirty-one ready to get married and start his own family.
The man was just the epitome of brilliance and was always diligent and hardworking. He was filled with back up plans and made more back up plans for those said back up plans. He was so into creating the perfect life for himself, he even made sure that he has another lady in store to be on the safe side because what if this one leaves him?
Now this is where you come to play. Unbeknownst to you the doctor you had been dating for the better half of two years, has already made plans for his happily ever after with another. What is more hilarious is the one said lover of his is none other than your distant cousin.
Being a woman with normal job that requires working for normal hours in the office, you accepted the fact that you would never understand the intensive hours these doctors work. Yes there were times when he was not called on his pager but his phone and was asked to immediately go to the hospital. Yes there were times when you had gone to the hospital to surprise him only to know that he was not there. And yes he specifically told you he wanted to keep the relationship private as all his coworkers are too nosy for their good.
Should you have figured out that the one guy you were madly in love with was already set to become the husband of other?
Yes
But did you?
Absolutely not!
Maybe that is why he kept you around, you were easy to lie to or were you just a good lay?
You would never know. Funnily enough you wouldn’t have know about the woman either if she wouldn’t have come to your house after your genius of a lover forgot to turn of his location during his nightly escapades with you.
The lady came storming into the house looked around in search of the man who had wronged her all while screaming at the top of her lungs at trying to make her presence known.
You would have never felt the hurt you felt that day if Wonwoo knew how to be a loyal man to his fiancé. You would have never have to hear the words, “this is the bitch you were fucking behind my back all this time,” from that lady. While she slapped you like she hated you and took jabs at your pride.
She made you question your integrity, your life and all your actions. Was it your fault that the man who said sweet ‘I love you’s to you every night was also telling them to his beloved fiancé. Maybe it was.
But the deed was done your self-respect was destroyed. Now you would always look at the mirror and realize that it was you who was the other woman. It was you who took the beautiful fantasy of one home away from another.
You left Wonwoo that day. He never tried to call. You were never important to him anyway. He left you broken, questioning your values, your life, and your actions.
This hurt more than any breakup you had been through because it was when you realized how naïve you were, how it was easy to lie to you. It made you feel like shit and there was no going back.
You stopped visiting your family, and meeting too scared to see those disappointed looks on their faces. What if you stumbled upon her when there was a function, she would hate you and you were too scared to face anyone let alone yourself.
She got married to him anyway. It was just a small hiccup in their relationship, while it did indeed destroyed you, they were happy. It is all that mattered to them. And although you would give them the credit for moving on with their lives, you couldn’t say the same for yourself.
It was then you had met Jeonghan, the man was funny and jovial, a bit of a prankster. He was exactly what you needed to escape life. He was the breath of fresh air you needed. He anchored you to reality and let to feel the happiness of life.
The friendship you both had built, had come shattering down one day when you got to realize he was friends with none other than the man you threw you down the shameful spiral of self-hatred.
That week you reused to talk to the man, at all. He suddenly made your skin crawl. For if he were friends with a man as despicable as Wonwoo after all his deeds, how much of a monster could he actually be. You didn’t want to stick around to get to know that.
Exactly a week after that Jeonghan was standing at your door. And was ready to make you talk no matter what. And talk you did that day. You shouted at the man for a whole hour to make sure he understood you would never be the other woman again. You were fooled once but you refused to be fooled twice.
After your shouting spree, he had held you to calm you down and told you he didn’t know what had Wonwoo done. He apologized profusely for the hurt his friend caused you while relentlessly promising to never betray you.
That day he asked you for a chance and just asked you to trust him for this once and let him in your life. He promised he would make sure you never you feel any less than what you should. He promised that you were enough for him and would spend his whole life proving it to you.
Surprisingly enough he did. He never left you once after that, never let you question your worth. Now after almost thirty years. You are happy with the man. You have lived a life were you enjoyed every bit of it. Jeonghan made sure you did. With your three kids happy and settled, you both went to live in the countryside seeking the peace that comes with it. You are happy and you are sure you would trade the whole world for this happiness. But good for you, you don’t need to.

restart - yoon jeonghan
seventeen as romantic tropes - rivals to lovers
high school au, jeonghan x gn!reader
yoon jeonghan. you dreaded hearing the name. ever since the beginning of middle school, he had been tormenting you about how his grades were always better than yours and how he was smarter than you. though, you couldn’t quite call yourself a victim either, as whenever you did better than him, you also rubbed it in his face and told him belittling comments.
it was your final year of high school, and the rivalry was still going strong. everybody knew how much you absolutely despised him, and it was always entertaining for people to watch. the teachers loved it, as it always pushed you two to be the best you could be. it also just happened to be that you two also shared similar interests and career paths, so you almost always ended up in the same classes. jeonghan seemed to enjoy it, but it became hell for you to always have him on your ass about exam and homework scores, like he was just now.
“hey y/n! what’d you get on the gov exam?” he shouted, teasingly swinging an arm over your shoulders.
“101%. what about you?” you shot back while pushing his arm away from you, confident you were going to beat his score.
“102%” he winked, skipping off in front of you, so proud he beat your score.
“you’re an asshole, yoon jeonghan!”
“at least i’m not stupid!”
he was so annoying, he always got on your nerves. every time you saw him, you just wanted to absolutely throw him against the wall and hopefully knock some sense into him, or out of him so he could stop beating your exam scores.
it was coming towards the end of the school year by now, with final exam week nearing. you had given up your extracurricular choir classes to focus on studying for the exams and making sure you pass so you can graduate. also, because jeonghan took the same choir classes as you and you wanted to spend a little less time in his presence. yet, he always found a way to be around you. he followed you everywhere like a lost puppy. seriously, what was this guys deal?
“hey, y/n! whatcha doing?” he asked, a little too happy to see you.
“getting away from you. don’t you understand that you’re the last person i want to be around?” you began to move in the opposite direction of him.
“that’s a little mean, babe. is it because you know i’ll do better than you on finals? or do you just get distracted by my face?” he smirked a little, following your moves.
“yeah, distracted by your ugliness. go away before i slap you”
he put his hands up, but that stupid little smirk never left his face.
“fine. i’ll leave you be. for now” he ran away, only to have you roll your eyes.
“you’re such a child” you called back at him, now happy to have him gone.
“oh my god why won’t you just work!” you shouted at your car, the engine not turning on. you had 4 finals today, there’s no way your car is breaking down.
“turn on!” you groaned, stabbing your finger into the engine button again… only for it to not work. you let out a short scream before getting out of your car, frustrated as you now had to walk to school. you pulled your bag out of the backseat before locking it and setting foot towards your school.
it was a couple minutes before a car pulled up next to you, windows rolled down.
“get in” you hear your least favorite voice speak.
“why would i get in the car with you?” you asked him with a little too much aggression.
“do you want to walk all the way to school and be tired and late?” he questioned back, causing you to groan before getting into his car.
“just don’t kill us i guess” you muttered, putting in your seatbelt.
“a thank you would be nice too, you know. i could’ve left you walking on the side of the road but picked you up because i’m so nice” he nudged you a little, making you slap his arm away.
“so nice my ass…”
“that doesn’t sound like a thank you, y/n” he rose an eyebrow.
“thank you…” you reluctantly muttered out, to which jeonghan grinned, satisfied.
56%. fifty-six percent. that’s what you had gotten on the bio exam. you spent hours upon hours studying for specifically that exam, knowing it was going to be the hardest for you. but you can only sit there, looking at the computer screen in front of you that read 28/50. 56%. you couldn’t even move by the time the final bell rang, your head falling straight onto your desk.
“what’s wrong with you?” you hear jeonghan scoff a little bit, kicking your desk.
“just fucking go away and leave me alone” you replied in the steckest voice you could muster, which wasn’t much.
“you sound like you’re about to cry. what’d you get on the final?” he pushed a little farther.
“i don’t want to talk about it, just go away”
“why? did you get like, a 98%? you know i did better, yeah? i even got the extra credit question too, making it 103%-“
“just go away, jeonghan! i got a fucking 56%! are you happy? all these goddamn years of tormenting me over grades, aren’t you tired of it? aren’t you tired of making me mad? annoyed? we get it, you’re yoon jeonghan. you’re the smartest kid in this school. we get it! just stop rubbing it in my face and leave me alone!”
jeonghan was taken aback by your sudden outburst at him even though he shouldn’t be. he knew all this time he was annoying you, but not this much. to jeonghan, it was a fun little game, and he wasn’t truly aware of how stressed it made you. he flashbacks to every single time you swore at him and told him to leave you alone, misreading your signals. it was his sick way of flirting all this years, showing you how good he is in hopes you’d want him back, but it only made you resent him, and he didn’t see it until now.
“y/n…”
“fuck off, jeonghan” you sniffled, turning your head away from him. he was bold and brave all those times, why couldn’t he be now?
“i’m sorry…”
“i’m sure you are” you laughed dryly at his what you thought to be half-assed apology.
“no, really, y/n, i…” he was running out of words, unsure of what to say. when he didn’t hear you say anything, he said what he felt the best way he could.
you almost jumped out of your skin when you feel jeonghan pulling you into a hug. a part of you wanted to fight him, but the rest of you had no energy to fight, so there you lay. in your rival’s arms. after failing an exam.
“this isn’t so bad” he hums, trying to break the awkward silence.
“you’re pushing it, jeonghan” you spoke in a warning tone, slipping an arm around him. he chuckled a little bit, pulling you in closer.
“would it be cringy to say that i’ve liked you all this time?” jeonghan sharply inhales after saying that, but it was the end of the day and one of the last days you’ll ever be together. unless, you know, you end up at the same college probably majoring in the same thing.
you couldn’t hide your laughter as you looked up at him.
“yes, god yes. that’s absolutely horrible. why would you confess that right here right now? and why was your way of getting my attention annoying me?” all you could do was laugh at him, and jeonghan accepted that. he shrugged, before speaking again.
“can we restart? i’m jeonghan-“
“whoa, i haven’t even agreed to that. i think you might have to convince me a little” you cut him off, to which he just stared at you, unable to say a word.
“okay, kidding. i’m y/n” you offered out your hand to shake, which he accepted.
“cmon, get up. i’ll take you somewhere, anywhere you want” he pulled you up out of your seat, taking a moment to wipe the line tears that escaped.
“anywhere?” you smirked a little, which began to worry jeonghan a little, knowing that even though you were now being nice to him, you still had a lot of shit to hold against him.
“anywhere within reason” he clarified, swinging his arm around you. his heart skipped a little beat when you accepted and didn’t push him away. he walked you out of the classroom, where students still ran around the halls, a few eyes widening once they see you and jeonghan together not arguing over something dumb.
“i guess you’re not so bad when you’re not being annoying” you admitted a little, to which he replied.
“you guess?”
“remind you, we’ve only restarted for like 3 minutes so far. i can take back those 3 minutes” you challenge, to which he throws his free hand up in defense.
“okay okay, you got me there. let’s keep going before someone questions us” he tugs you along to his car, and for once, you didn’t push away and let him.

Seokmin x reader!!
Genre;fluff , slightly angst(or not hehe), collage au!!!
Warning;sick reader
How do we describe seokmin as your boyfriend?
seokmin as your boyfriend would do everything in his power to make sure your life was as joyful and fun as possible. one of the most important things to him is your happiness. dates with him will almost always be nights on the town to see a movie, dinner, or just a long drive. he loves to spend time alone with you, and in return, desires words of praise (whether it be about your relationship or other things). more often than not, time alone with him turns into a much-needed nap. In fact, when seokmin had to share a bed with his roommate wonwoo once, he ended up hugging him because he's so used to that other person being you. (and months later, his friends tease him about it still)
Silly right and as for seokmin he would describe you as a loving person with a unique personality strong independent woman and lastly a wife material to him he even swear to be with you forever
Its the student council's meeting that time and as he spotted you through the door making your way to the table and as set an eye on you he couldn't think more he was like dude this woman will be the death of me
He likes to listen on your rants whenever you feel annoyed or hating something or rather someone then end up hating it too bestie vibes
And have i mentioned? You have been together for 4 years and had been living with each for 2 years now? That's insane
You guys just clicked together and it's almost perfect not until..
"I'm breaking up with you seokmin"
This words rang in his head many times he couldn't process the words the inky question running through his head was
Why?
Why the sudden blunt Decision when everything is so perfect between the two of you?
"why? What happened baby? Did i do something wrong? Is this a prank "
He asked as he tried to held his woman's hand but she backed away
"no seokmin you didn't do anything wrong you're perfect"
She said not looking at him property this made him annoyed
"then why are you suddenly asking for break up? If it's a prank this isn't funny i swear "
She looked at him with a blank face although they say eyes can't lie you can still see the hint of guilt in her
"I'm going abroad tommorow I'll be living there for good and i dont think LDR would work on us "
"is that all y/n? Is that all the reason why you have to be breaking up with me? We can do it actually well i can why are you doubting our relationship?"
He said almost shouted each words
"you know we can't ,if you can do it well I can't we just going to overthink a lot and might not handle it properly"
You could really tell seokmin is deeply hurt but also angry at the fact that you are now doubting the relationship and not trusting him
"dont you trust me y/n? Dont you have a Faith in our relationship? You know it deep down that we can handle it! Trust me baby we can, stop this nonsense please i loveyou so much don't do this to me"
He was tearing up now seeing him like this makes her even more guilty
"im sorry seokmin but i made up my mind ,Im breaking up with you and that's it i hope you find a better person for you"
"you're the only person who's better to me! I dont understand your reason right now baby im not agreeing of us breaking apart I can't let you....go"
He kneeled down on her while crying making her teared up a bit it's not her intention to hurt him it's just she have to do this for his own good
"goodbye seokmin I'm really sorry"
She turn away from the man and Walked away leaving the poor man behind in his knees crying for her to come back
.

.
Seokmin's POV
"man it's been a 7 months aren't you moved on already?" Jeonghan reminded me
Still haven't moved on i still love her but i also hate her for leaving me out of the blue
"she's-"
I was interupted by the sound of my phone i look at the phone caller i was surprised to see ,y/n's mother calling me i answered it
"hello?"i ask in the other line her mom was sighning deeply
"i need to tell you something seokminah "
"im all ears "
"my daughter didn't mean for you both to break up she was blunt i know i know you deserve to know "
"know what mrs l/n "
"y/n before you two even broke up 2 weeks before that we Rushed her to the hospital because she fainted only to find out her lung cancer was getting worse
She's scared about things wouldn't work between the two of you because she said she's dying she can't have you worrying about her she dont want you to be lonely "
The phone ended
She's sick and didn't even bother telling me? I could be in her side right now fuck
"tell cheol i wont be home I'm booking a flight to canada it's urgent "
Y/n's POV
Knock knock....
I Sighed annoyingly shout softly
"ma i said i don't want to eat! Stop it leave me alone"
The door opened revealing the most handsome man in earth ,my first love
"seokmin? What are you doing here!?"
He smiled at me
"hi gorgeous"
"stop what's going on and what? Have you seen me? Bro im bald now and looking so pale as fuck"
"why didn't you tell me about this? You lied if it wasn't to mrs l/n i wouldn't know a thing i could have been in your side for the past few months taking care of your clumsy ass but instead you keep it to yourself then leaving me behind"
" i-im sorry seokmin I didn't mean all of it i didn't mean to lie i just don't want you to worry"
"I'm always telling you in our relationship communication is important"
"go back to korea seokmin please i can take care of myself"
It hurts him i know but i really can do this alone
"no mrs l/n said i can stay here whenever i want don't tell me what i do i will stay here and take care of you"
"do you not understand seokmin!? Im dying! I'm going to die! I told you to find someone else why did you even came here"
Im now crying mess but seems like it was nothing to him as if he fully understand the situation
He came towards me and hugged me i dont have much strength for pushing him so i just let him
"I can't find someone else i promised to myself i will only love you and only you stop being stubborn love"
I just cried harder on his chest
"you're so stupid"
"yea stupidly inlove with you i know "
.
.
.
.
Seokmin's POV
It's been 4 years now a lot has changed since that day
Right now im looking at my beautiful woman's picture admiring her once more remembering the flashbacks how'd he met you ,how he did the first move and how you said yes to him
"you fought really bravely my love im ao proud of you"
Then all of a sudden a smack came to his head he turn to see the pretty woman
"why the heck are you like that i didn't die stupid"
He just smiled and scratch the back of his head
"why? You really fought it right your sickness had vanished you look so healthy Thanks to your doctor's to your family and thanks to you mylove for surviving the cancer"
He kissed her forehead then her lips after only making the girl giggle
"iloveyou min-min"
"i loveyou more infinity and beyond my love"

Pairing: Wonwoo x Reader
Genre: Angst and fluff
Warnings: Minor character death and slight mention of a panic attack.
WC: 6.7K+
Summary: You never thought that the stranger you met one night would become someone special to you.
Tumblr media
“What’s happening?” Wonwoo called out as soon as he set foot into the house he shared with his close friends. He could hear the distant shouting happening somewhere in the house, a possible indication of a fight occurring between his housemates again. And he was right, there stood Seokmin and Mingyu, throwing harsh words at each other; something to do with dirty laundry sprawled across the kitchen floor.
“Didn’t I tell you to do your laundry THREE days ago Seokmin?” Mingyu bellowed at the top of his lungs. Seokmin’s glare only intensified as he clenched his right hand into a fist. Wonwoo stood at the bottom of the stairs, worried eyes observing the two.
“You yell at me for nagging you but here you are doing the same thing!” Seokmin snapped back. Before Mingyu could reply back, Joshua came in between the two, stretching his arms out to separate the fuming boys.
“Alright boys, it’s just laundry. Seokmin do your laundry now and Mingyu, take a nap to cool off or something.”
Seokmin turned on his heels, rushing down the stairs to do as he was told, greeting Wonwoo with an apologetic smile. Wonwoo sighed, walking up to his room to get the rest he was yearning for for the past week. He closed his door, padding towards his window to move the curtains shut. Without any source of light coming into his room, he laid down on his unmade bed, sighing as his head softly hit the pillows.
Wonwoo didn’t realise he fell asleep until a gentle nudge awoke him from his nap. “Wonu, it’s dinner time,” Soonyoung whispered, afraid to frighten Wonwoo with his normal tone of voice.
Wonwoo hummed in response, nuzzling his head against the pillow, “I’ll be down in a sec, Hoshi.” Soonyoung patted his cheek gently before making his way out of the room while Wonwoo tried his best to sleep again. However, Wonwoo’s ear perked up to the sound of his phone ringing in the pocket of his jeans.
He released an irritated sigh as he unhurriedly answered the phone. “Hello?” Wonwoo greeted with sleep dripping from his voice. “Wonwoo?” the person on the other line asked. Wonwoo’s sleepy eyes widened at the sound of Jiyeon’s, his ex-girlfriend’s, voice. An uncomfortable silence lingered in the air as Wonwoo sat up on his bed.
“What do you want?” he asked without any hint of friendliness in his voice. He heard something shuffle on Jiyeon’s end before she began to sob uncontrollably. Wonwoo could only roll his eyes at how pathetic she could be.
“P-please take me back, I promise I’ll be faithful to you and only you. He was a mistake, you have to believe me,” Jiyeon cried but Wonwoo remained stoic despite her pleas. He muttered a quick “no” before ending the call with her. He sighed for the last time before laying back down on his bed again.
Wonwoo devoured the pork belly Jeonghan left on the kitchen table for him since he took another nap after the unexpected call from Jiyeon. He began to ponder on the idea of getting back with his ex while he placed his plate on the rack. However, he quickly dismissed the idea after he remembered the pain he went through when he caught Jiyeon and her classmate in the middle of a makeout session on her bed. Wonwoo couldn’t believe his eyes and his first instinct was to punch the guy before fleeing the scene in tears.
But he couldn’t deny the hurt coursing through him after the phonecall he had with her but he also knew it was wrong to keep hurting himself like that. His eyes lingered on the washed plate, blinking once in awhile to stop the tears gathering in his eyes. Mingyu, who entered the kitchen not too long ago, watched him as he leaned silently on the fridge, careful not to scare him although it failed as soon as Wonwoo faced the door. The older male jumped, clutching his chest in the process. “Kim Mingyu, what the hell?” Mingyu waved at him from where he was standing, a sad smile on his lips.
“Wanna talk about it?” Mingyu asked. Wonwoo shook his head, knowing that he had already drunkenly poured out his feelings to Mingyu and the rest of his housemates for weeks after the breakup. He didn’t want to burden them more with his personal problems.
“Nah, I’m good. I think I just need to get some fresh air.”
He wandered around his university campus, finding the empty rooftop Mingyu mentioned the night before. Mingyu discovered it after a stressful exam where he walked around campus, trying to find somewhere to spill his tears. And that’s when he found the rooftop of the science building, empty and abandoned through the blurriness of his tears.
Wonwoo spotted the science building and made his way up through a secret passage that Mingyu instructed him to take. He climbed the rusty stairs that creaked with every step he took which alarmed him but he continued his way up anyway. When he got to the top, he found the door shut tightly which he nudged open with all the force he could muster.
When the door finally budged, Wonwoo heard a loud curse which made him panic at the sound coming from the other side.
“Who the fuck?”
“Shit I’m so so so sorry-”
“Well don’t just fucking stand there, help me up.”
Wonwoo blinked at you for a couple of seconds before your words registered in his mind. He let out a faint “oh right” before offering you his hand. You gladly took it, wincing at the shooting pain in your elbow which you were convinced was bleeding.
“Fuck, my elbow’s bleeding. Thanks a lot you idiot.”
Wonwoo reached out to grab your elbow in his hand. His eyes lingered on your bleeding elbow before taking some unused tissues that were shoved in his coat pocket. He dabbed the tissue on the bleeding wound, wincing now and again.
“You do know I’m the one bleeding and not you?” you scoffed, your eyes focused on his face rather than the blood trickling down your elbow.
“You shouldn’t have been standing there anyway,” Wonwoo muttered.
“So you think it’s my fault?” you questioned.
“No, why are you even up here at this ungodly hour,” he whispered, not wanting you to hear.
“I could ask you the same,” you replied. Wonwoo took out another tissue and asked you to hold it in place since he didn’t have any band aids with him, but you shrugged off his order and thanked him instead before taking a seat on the ground. You chugged the remaining beer in your can and crushed it with your hands.
Wonwoo watched you with curious eyes as you cracked open another can and handed it over to him. You stood up and gathered the cans of beer lying on the ground before making your way towards the door.
“Rooftop’s all yours.”
You were gone before Wonwoo could answer. He began to wonder who you were and what you were doing on the rooftop at this hour of the night but he realised that maybe you were here for the same reason he was; to get away from reality. He took a long sip of the beer you handed him, his eyes spotting a notebook where the crush cans were once scattered.
He reached out, reading the black ink across the cover of the notebook, y/n. he didn’t mean to flip through it but curiosity got the better of him and he opened the notebook to find art pieces scattered on the pages.
“Huh, aren’t you a mystery.”
You awoke the following morning to the sound of your roommate yelling at you. As soon as you opened your eyes, you instantly massaged your temples to soothe your throbbing headache but it wasn’t enough to calm the soreness you were feeling. Your roommate’s voice did nothing to help ease the pain and Seungkwan only worsened it by pushing your bedroom door against the wall with a loud thud.
“Drunk again?” he huffed, pinching his nostrils close to stop the smell of alcohol from making him gag. Seungkwan never liked it when you drank, he didn’t like the smell and he certainly hated the fact that you were slowly drowning yourself with alcohol to make the pain of losing someone go away. Seungkwan tried to convince you that he could help but you always turned down his offer with a lousy excuse that you “can handle it”. As a year passed by, your drinking habit only worsened but you still managed to ace your classes and somehow function with all the alcohol that was in your system.
“That’s the last time I’ll ever drink Seungkwan, I promise,” you stuck your pinky finger towards him, wiggling it as you waited for him to wrap his own around your finger. You really wanted to stop and this time, you wanted to keep your promise to your bestfriend to ease the worries he had for you and your health. Seungkwan could only sigh at his bestfriend as he took your pinky finger around his.
“I made you hangover soup y/n” is all he said after he turned on his heel and left your room with a quiet sigh. You looked around your room, the curtains still shut to prevent any source of light from shining through the window but the god awful smell of alcohol that reeked in your room was enough for you to stand up and pull the curtains open. You nudged the window with your hand and the sudden gust of wind had you almost stepping back by its force. You still welcomed it and as you cleaned around your room, the smell of alcohol slowly dissipated (with the help of some yankee candles).
When you entered the kitchen, the smell of bacon made your stomach churn and your nose wrinkle at the slight scent of burning food. “Seungkwan! your bacon is burning,” you yelled, walking over to remove the bacon from the frying pan. You heard Seungkwan yell something you couldn’t quite hear so you shrugged and turned off the hob. Your eyes landed on the hangover soup he made you and your stomach growled at the sight.
“Thanks for the soup, Kwannie,” you yelled out to him.
You were thankful for the fact that your photography lecture didn’t start until one in the afternoon so you had plenty of time to soothe your headache and plan out your night carefully without having to involve bottles and bottles of soju this time. You wanted to go up to the rooftop to retrieve your notebook that you forgot to take before leaving the handsome stranger all alone.
Your mind wandered back to him. You remembered the panic in his eyes when he saw the blood gushing down your elbow and it made you chuckle slightly. You lifted up your elbow to glance down if a scab was starting to form on the wound. Your grimaced at the sight and continued to eat your soup again.
“Hey, I found this in your jacket,” Seungkwan held up some bloody tissues with a worried look on his face. You shook your head at him, raising your pointer finger asking him to wait.
“I fell yesterday,” you finally spoke once your mouth was clear of any traces of food. Seungkwan quirked an eyebrow at you, his hands settling on his hips to wait for an explanation.
“I was up at the rooftop last night and some guy pushed the door open and I happened to be sitting right in front of it which was totally my fault,” you explained. You watched as your bestfriend sighed, walking over to the bin to throw at the tissues.
“You should be more careful next time y/n.”
“Sorry Seungkwan,” you picked at your food guiltily. You didn’t want to worry him all the time but you always manage to anyway. He watched you pick at your food for a while before making his way over towards you.
“Look at me,” he muttered softly, bringing his hand under your chin. You raised your head to look up at him. He gave you a small smile before pressing his lips on your forehead.
“You know I’ll always be here for you y/n, right?”
Wonwoo awoke not too long ago because of Seokmin and Mingyu yet again. He rolled his eyes when he heard Mingyu yelling as Seokmin chased him around the house. He stretched his arms above his head, his top slowly riding up to reveal a small section of his lower stomach. He grabbed his glasses that were sitting on his bedside table along with the notebook that belonged to you.
He mentally noted to ask Minghao if he knew anyone called “y/n”. It seemed like you were an art student so Minghao was the first person he thought of. He stood up from his made and made his way over to his bathroom to start getting ready for his morning lectures.
He brushed his teeth slowly, his mind wandering back to how you cursed at him last night which made him chuckle at the memory. He didn’t mean to continue flipping through your artwork last night but he was mesmirised by your pieces. He even found a picture of you tucked between the last few pages of your notebook and he admired the small smile that you gave the camera.
“WONU!” Mingyu yelled from outside, making him slightly choke on water as he gargled.
“Food’s ready downstairs!”
“I’ll be out in a sec Mingyu.”
You fished out your phone from your pocket, turning the flashlight on to help you see the rusty stairs better. The sound of the stairs leading to the rooftop creaked slightly with every step you took.
“These steps are going to break one of these days,” you muttered to yourself, keeping the cup of coffee near your chest to warm you up. The weather didn’t co-operate with you tonight. You were forced to wear something warm by your bestfriend and he even made you wear a beanie to protect your head from the cold.
As soon as you got to the top, you pushed the door open with your frame. When the steel door finally opened, you quickly heard a loud thud when it hit something or someone as soon as it opened.
“Shit,” you heard a deep voice say from the other side.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry,” you began to apologise as you pulled the door shut to reveal the person that was standing behind it and to your surprise, you found the stranger from last night, clutching his arm tightly. You both gave each other a look of shock before bursting out into a fit of laughter.
“You again?” you both said at the same time.
“I guess I deserved that,” Wonwoo said, sitting back down on the ground. You gave him a guilty look before sitting beside him.
“I’m really sorry about your arm,” you said, poking it before sipping on your hot coffee. He quirked an eyebrow at you, “I’m surprised you’re not cursing me out right now.” You gave him another guilty look, blowing on your coffee and taking another sip to before answering him.
“That wasn’t me yesterday,” you said, giggling as Wonwoo rolled his eyes at you.
“I don’t even know your name,” you laughed.
“I remember you giving me a name last night though.”
“What?”
“Yeah, something along the lines of idiot,” he teased, watching as your eyes widened in surprise again.
“I’m so embarrassing,” you groaned, placing your coffee on the ground to cover your heating face with your hands. You heard Wonwoo laugh at your embarrassment, patting your back as you continued to mutter words to yourself.
“Don’t sweat about it y/n,” he giggled. Your ears perked up to the sound of your name leaving his lips, not remembering if you told him your name or not.
“How’d you know my name,” you asked, removing your hands away from your face. He gave you a shy smile before pulling your missing notebook out of his jacket. He waved it around before handing it back to you.
“You forgot this last night and I may have snooped around.”
“Oh.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to..I was just really intrigued by your art. They’re all amazing by the way,” he complimented, rubbing the back of his neck while looking at you.
“Oh no, it’s absolutely okay. Thanks for bringing it back to me and thanks for the compliments,” you shyly replied, picking up your cup of coffee again. Comfortable silence enveloped you while you both looked at the bright moon. You suddenly remembered why you were up here.
“Shoot,” you whispered, fishing out your camera that was tucked carefully in your jacket.
“Do you mind if I do something for my photography class?” you glaced at Wonwoo.
“No go ahead,” he smiled.
Wonwoo watched as you brought the camera up to face, adjusting the lens before taking multiple shots of the night sky. Wonwoo would be lying if he didn’t think the view before him was mesmerising. He didn’t know why the beating of his heart fastened when you looked satisfied at the shots you took.
“Can I ask for your opinion...” you started.
“Wonwoo.”
“Right, so can I ask for your opinion on these pictures Wonwoo?” you shyly asked him, tucking piece of hair behind your ear.
“Let me see them,” he scooted closer to you, leaning down to look at the pictures.
And that’s how you and Wonwoo spent the rest of the night, chatting about your art, his course and anything that you and him could think of. You and Wonwoo didn’t realise it was past one in the morning until Seungkwan texted you to come home.
“Oh shit,” you muttered, quickly standing up and gathering your notebook and the empty cup of coffee in your hands. Wonwoo also stood up, taking his phone out before thrusting it in your direction.
“C-can I maybe have your number y/n? I’d really like to talk to you more,” he asked, his ears turning red at his own question. You nodded, taking his phone to put your number in his contacts.
“I’ll walk you back to your apartment if you want?” he offered.
“If it’s not too much to ask,” you replied, chucking the empty cup into the bed as soon as you got down from the rooftop.
“Let’s get you home then.”
You tapped your fingers on your thighs, waiting patiently for Wonwoo to come pick you up from your apartment. It had been four months since you and Wonwoo met on the rooftop. You both realised how much you complimented each other. It was nice that he got you to experience some of his hobbies while you taught him the things you were learning in your photography lectures. He was also patient with you whenever you were in one of your moods while you gave him the space he needed whenever he was having a hard time with things he would rather not tell you, yet.
Seungkwan and Mingyu even thought that you and him were good for each other. You were barely drinking now and even if you did, it was always with Wonwoo at the convenience store, talking about everything and anything your minds could think of.
You’ve grown to love Wonwoo’s company.
Woo 🐱: I’m outside your apartment bld ☺️
You: Be down in a sec 💕
You yelled out to Seungkwan that you were going, slipping your shoes on by the door before leaving your apartment with a big smile on your face. You and Wonwoo decided to visit the museum outside your university campus. You were excited to to find some inspiration for your upcoming art project and Wonwoo just wanted to spend time with you.
“Hey,” you walked over to Wonwoo, giving him a side hug.
“Do you think you’d be able to come with me to the recording studio after going to the museum?” he grabbed your elbow before crossing the street to get to the bus stop.
“Yeah, are you and Jihoon recording a new song?” you hummed, taking out your bus card when you saw the bus approaching.
“Yeah, it’s for our music theory class. Jihoon wanted to put some vocals on his new track so he asked me to be his partner.”
You’ve never heard Wonwoo sing but according to Mingyu and Soonyoung, he sounded angelic whenever he sung.
“Can’t wait,” you tapped your bus card, taking a seat at the back by the window. Wonwoo followed you, sitting beside and leaning his head on your shoulder. He yawned, closing his eyes and nuzzling his head against your shoulder.
“Tired?”
“Just a little bit,” he yawned again.
“I’ll wake you up when we’re near.”
You walked around the museum in silence with your notebook in hand, doodling some pieces that sparked your interest. Wonwoo, on the other hand, read each and every information that came along with the art pieces. You found it adorable when he would tilt his head as he focused on reading the information. He would look at you whenever you giggled at him, smiling and nudging you with his hip.
Your eyes landed on the final artwork in the museum, a grin making its way to your face. It was a simple artwork of the moon but the different shades of dark colours to mimic the sky made you more and more interested in the artwork. Wonwoo finally caught up to you and stood by your side.
“I..i think this is my favourite out of them all y/n,” he whispered beside you.
“Mine too.” You took out your notebook again, doodling on your notebook while Wonwoo watched you. You didn’t notice that Wonwoo took out his phone and backed away from you slightly. He tapped his phone to get his camera to focus on you, taking a picture of you as you doodled on your notebook.
“Beautiful,” he whispered quietly.
You looked up at Wonwoo, smiling brightly at him.
“I think I’m done ‘Woo,” you finally showed him your drawing, his eyes looking at the artwork.
“You’re so talented y/n!” He ruffled your hair before placing his arm around your shoulder. Wonwoo and you looked at the artwork for the last time.
“To the studio we go?”
“To the studio we go.”
“If you keep staring at Wonwoo like that, he might melt,” Mingyu sneaked up from behind you. You jolted in your seat, clutching your chest as you tried to calm your beating heart.
“Are you serious Kim Mingyu?”
“I didn’t realise you were this jumpy y/n.”
You threw a piece of crumpled paper at his face which he dodged, knocking the spare seat along the way. This caught the attention of a couple of people that were quietly sipping on their beverages in the coffee shop. Wonwoo watched you and Mingyu bicker while he took another coffee order. He chuckled softly when he saw you throw another piece of crumpled paper at Mingyu’s face.
While you and Mingyu were bickering about your apparent feelings for Wonwoo, both of you didn’t notice Wonwoo’s face drop when his ex-girlfriend entered the coffee shop. Mingyu finally looked up to find Wonwoo arguing with Jiyeon at the side of the coffee shop. Seungcheol who now took over Wonwoo’s shift, glanced at the younger male with worry evident on his face.
You didn’t notice what was happening until Mingyu tapped your shoulder.
“C-can you do me a favour y/n?”
You hummed in response, looking up to see Mingyu’s face. You dropped your pencil immediately and gave all your attention to Mingyu.
“I need you to pretend to be Wonwoo’s girlfriend like right now,” he blurted out.
“What the fuck?”
He nibbled on his lower lip before pointing his finger at Wonwoo who looked distressed as he talked to a girl you didn’t recognise.
“Who-”
“Wonwoo’s ex-girlfriend who cheated on him.”
With that piece of information, you stood up quickly and made your way towards Wonwoo. You looped your arms through his and placed your head on his arm.
“Baby,” you whined, catching both of their attention.
“I-”
“You have a girlfriend now Wonwon?” she sounded hurt as she looked you up and down.
Wonwoo cleared his throat, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you closer to him.
“Yeah, now please leave before my girlfriend makes a scene. And you wouldn’t like that. Trust me.”
You waved at her mockingly, grabbing Wonwoo’s hand and dragging him where you and Mingyu were sat at.
“I want the ground to swallow me whole,” you groaned when you and the boys watched Jiyeon disappear from the coffee shop.
“You owe ME Jeon!”
“How about a free kiss?” Mingyu suggested making you and Wonwoo glare at him.
“How about an explanation? Meet me at the rooftop at 8 tonight?” he glanced at the clock, realising that his break was nearly over.
“I’ll see you later,” he placed a quick peck on your forehead, leaving you and Mingyu by yourselves again.
“Forehead kisses, multiple dates and rooftop sessions? And you two still AREN’T dating?!”
“Oh fuck off Kim Mingyu.”
“So she fucking cheated on you and now she’s asking for you to take her back?”
Wonwoo nodded, eating another cheeseball that you bought for him before coming up to the rooftop.
“And are you going to?” you asked nervously, not knowing why your heart hurt at the thought of Wonwoo taking back Jiyeon. It’s not like there was anything going on between you two, you thought.
You saw him hesitate, swallowing another cheeseball.
“I kinda thought about it but no, I’m never going to take her back. I don’t want to go through the pain all over again.”
You sighed in relief, “Good.”
“Why? You scared I won’t spend as much time with you anymore?”
“To be honest, yeah.”
Wonwoo watched you shyly eat a piece of chicken, avoiding his eyes. He scooted closer to you until your arms were touching. He placed an arm around your waist and placed his head on top of yours.
“Never, sweetheart. You’re very special to me, you know,” he whispered softly.
“O-okay.”
You were gasping for air once you woke up from your dream. You saw the look of disappointment on his face again, making your heart clench with sadness all over again.
“Not again,” you cried, placing your covers over your mouth to muffle your cries. Your hands were shaking at this point and you knew you were having an episode again. You tried to breathe calmly but memories of your time with him kept appearing in your mind.
“F-fuck,” you reached out to grab your phone from the bedside table. You dialled Wonwoo’s number, placing the phone on your ear. After the fifth ring, Wonwoo picked up humming as you called out his name.
“H-help me,” you cried, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tried to tell him the passcode to your apartment door.
“I’m on my way sweetheart. Please breathe for me okay? I’ll be there in no time.”
Wonwoo arrived ten minutes later, panting when he finally entered your room. He rushed over to your bed and removed your covers so that he could take you in his arms.
“I’m here baby, i’m here,” he took you in his lap, and began to rock you body gently to soothe your cries.
“I’m right here,” he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head, on your forehead and finally, on your cheek.
You gripped his shirt while you attempted to calm yourself down. You focused on his lips and then on his hushed voice.
“Woo,” you finally called out.
“I’m here y/n.”
“I’m s-sorry I called you here.”
“Don’t, you know I’ll always be here.”
After that night, you made it your job to avoid Wonwoo at all cost. You were embarrassed. You also realised how attached you’ve become to him. Seungkwan tried to get you to meet up with him and even Mingyu begged for you to stop avoiding Wonwoo.
“You’re leaving him in the dark y/n,” Seungkwan argued for the nth time. You sighed, leaning your canvas on the wall.
“I’m really busy Kwannie, can we not talk about this today?”
“Just admit that you’ve grown feelings for Wonwoo and you’re afraid that he might leave you!” Seungkwan blurted out. You dropped your paintbrush on the ground when Seungkwan snapped at you.
“I KNOW!” Seungkwan flinched as you yelled back at him.
“I’m scared I might lose him too but you can’t blame me for my own trauma Seungkwan! Now get out,” you picked up your brush again, turning your back away from him.
You knew you were dreaming. It had to be a dream because he was here. He was in your arms while you talked about your on going piece of artwork. Vernon leaned his head on your chest while he played with your fingers that were placed on his chest.
“I love you, you know that right?”
You gripped his fingers tightly in your hands, not wanting to let him go incase he disappeared like he always did whenever you had a dream about him.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t do anything to save you, Vernon-”
“Shh, what happened to me was not your fault y/n,” he got up from where he was laying on your chest and took you in his lap.
“Nothing was your fault, okay?” he kissed your forehead.
“I shouldn’t have fought with you that day,” you mumbled, tears starting to stream down your cheeks. You gripped his shirt as he continued to whisper calming words into your ear.
“I want you to be happy. I’m at peace now, y/n.” Vernon kissed your cheek before he disappeared again.
You jolted awake, gasping for air again. Clutching your chest, you called out for Seungkwan who heard you since he was sweeping outside your door. He barged in with the sweeping brush in his hand.
“Vernon again?” You nodded, sniffling while you opened your arms for him.
“I know he’s watching over you y/n.”
You sobbed in his shirt, seeping the piece of clothing with your tears. Seungkwan’s heart broke when he continued to rub your back. He shook his head at how unfair the world could be. You didn’t deserve the heart ache of losing Vernon to a crash. You didn’t deserve to lose the man that was once the love of your life.
“What happened to Vernon wasn’t your fault, y/n.”
“I-i know,” you breathed out, “V-vernon told me it wasn’t. Seungkwan, he finally talked to me in my dreams.”
Seungkwan gave you a soft smile, soothing you with comforting words again.
“I know he’d love for you to be happy with Wonwoo.”
A month passed by when you saw Wonwoo again. It was only for a couple of minutes until him and Jihoon entered the studio. Despite only seeing him for a few minutes, you noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes when he looked at you.
You clutched the canvas tighter against your chest as you made your way to the arts building to go into the studio to finally finish your painting that was going to be included in the exhibition a few days. When you entered the studio, you flicked the lights on and settled your canvas against the wall. You rolled your sleeves up and began to prepare your paints and paintbrushes that were going to finalise your artwork.
It took you 5 hours to complete your painting, your cheek and denim overalls sporting splotches of paint on them. You stood back and admired your work of art. You fished out your phone and captured a picture of your painting to send to Seungkwan.
While you were cleaning your brushes, your mind wandered back to a memory that inspired your artwork.
You and Wonwoo were walking home after spending hours on the rooftop. He urged you to go to the rooftop after he had a rough day. When you arrived at the rooftop, Wonwoo was already sitting on the ground with a can of beer clutched in his hand. He heard you but he didn’t bother turning around with how tired he was. You leaned down behind Wonwoo and wrapped your arms around him, placing your chin on his shoulder. You remembered Wonwoo spilling everything that went wrong that day while you hugged him tighter to calm him down.
After spending hours on the rooftop, he decided to walk you home. He was back to his normal self, nudging you with his hip as he teased you about hugging him on the rooftop for hours. You giggled when he tipsily laughed at a joke you told him. You reached for your phone that was in the back pocket of your jeans.
You quickly took a picture of Wonwoo while he laughed at another joke you told him.
“Hey! No fair,” he whined, chasing you down the empty streets of Seoul.
“Hey y/n, are you inviting Wonwoo to the exhibition?” Seungkwan chewed on a piece of gum while typing something on his phone.
“I already did.”
“What did he say?”
“Left me on read.”
“I’m sure he’ll come y/n,” Seungkwan reassured, squeezing your hand.
It was the day of the exhibition and you were walking around the hall to look at your other classmates’ paintings. You chatted to some of them and complimented them on their work while they gushed about yours. They loved the idea of your painting of the moon and a boy who was admiring the night sky. You thanked her, smiling at her art work again.
The event was coming to an end but you saw no sight of Wonwoo. Mingyu, Jihoon and even Soonyoung dropped by to see your work of art. The three of them admired your painting for awhile until it finally clicked in their minds who the boy was. They whipped their heads towards you at the same time, wearing matching smirks to tease you.
“Wonwoo huh?” Mingyu wiggled his eyebrows making you chuckle at him.
“Do you know if he’s coming?” you bit your lower lip, fiddling with your hands as you awaited for their answer.
The three boys looked at you with sympathetic smiles, “We’re not sure y/n.” They bid you goodbye after you chatted with them for a while, leaving you on your own again. Some people came up to you to ask you about your painting, asking what prompted you to paint the moon and a boy.
“Just someone special,” you smiled at the old lady.
The event came to an end at 8pm and your professor thanked all of you for presenting your paintings to the public. You were beyond tired when you grabbed your back from the staff room, wanting nothing more than to pick up some food from your favourite takeaway shop and watch reruns of your favourite show with Seungkwan.
You were the last person to leave the hall as your other classmates have already left while you were grabbing your belongings. You would be lying if you said that you weren’t disappointed that Wonwoo didn’t come to the event. However, you knew it was your fault for pushing him away when all he wanted was to be there for you.
You started walking away from the hall, halting once you heard a familiar voice calling out your name. You froze when you heard footsteps nearing you. He was here, you thought.
You turned around to see Wonwoo with a small bouquet of flowers in his hand. He smiled softly at you once he was in front of you. Wonwoo handed you the flowers and you gladly took them from his hand.
“I didn’t want to disturb you when you were talking to people so I decided not to come up to you and just admire your work from afar.”
“Did you like it?”
“I loved it y/n,” he stared at you, silence enveloping you both.
“Good, you were the inspiration for that painting,” you sheepishly revealed. He blushed at your words, tucking his hands behind the pockets of his jeans.
“How about I walk you back to your apartment?”
“I’d love that.”
You walked side by side in comfortable silence with only the noises of passing cars filling in the silence that enveloped you both. It was nice seeing Wonwoo again and you loved the new hair colour he was sporting now.
When you neared your apartment building, Wonwoo spotted the playground that he frequently passed by whenever he collected you from your apartment. He nudged your hip with his own, pointing at the swings nearby.
“Wanna chat for a bit?” You could only nod, following him as he led the way to the swings. You sat down on of the swings while he sat on the other, immediately pushing himself off. You watched in amusement as he got higher and higher, wanting to do the same. But you were too tired to even move your legs so you decided just to watch him goof off.
“Woo,” you called out.
He suddenly stopped, using his feet to stop himself from swinging any further. He turned towards you, raising his eyebrows to urge you to speak.
“I-i’m really sorry for avoiding you,” you started, fiddling with the flowers that laid on your lap.
“Wanna tell me why you did?”
You looked up at him, his eyes staring intently at you. You gulped, feeling nervous the more he looked at you with curious eyes.
“I didn’t want you to get to close..because I was afraid I’d lose you like I lost my ex-boyfriend,” you confessed, running your hand through your hair. You saw him furrow his eyebrows, probably confused as to why you were afraid of losing him when you knew he wasn’t going anywhere.
“H-he died after a drunk driver knocked him over,” you whispered, “He was going home after we argued at my apartment and that was the last conversation we had before he died the same night.”
Wonwoo gasped softly, standing up and kneeling in front of you. He tilted your head up with his pointer finger to get you to look at him. You didn’t resist, wanting nothing more but to look at Wonwoo. Tears started to form in your eyes once they met his.
“I’m really sorry Woo,” you sobbed, pulling him into a hug. He hugged you tightly, both of you nuzzling your heads into each other’s necks. You and him stayed in that position until he his knee started aching.
“You gotta let go of me for a bit, baby, my knees are starting to ache.” With the mention of the term of endearment, your heartbeat quickened.
“Baby huh?” You asked, your eyebrow raised at him.
“Yeah, because you’re my baby now,” he teased, offering you his hand to take. You gladly accepted it, swinging it softly as you and him continued to walk to your apartment building.
“I’ve something for you to listen to before you go to sleep, baby,” he smiled. You turned your head towards him, seeing the faint blush that coloured his cheeks. “What is it?” you asked. “I already sent it to you, you just have to play it when you get home okay?” You nodded, wrapping your arms around his torso. You rested your chin against his chest while you both stood outside your apartment building. You didn’t want to let him go nor did he want to leave you just yet.
“Wanna go out on a date with me tomorrow?” he asked, leaning down to peck your forehead with his lips. You nodded again, placing the side of your head against his chest. “I’d love to.”
“No more running away okay?” You pinched his back lightly before nodding again to reassure him that you weren’t going anywhere again. Despite the fear of losing him in the future lingering in the back of your mind, you were only certain of one thing. You were completely and utterly in love with the man who pushed a steel door against your body that one strange night. He was someone that your heart was longing for and he was the one who helped you heal your heart piece by piece like you did with his.

Feeling Better– Seungcheol x Reader
Hi, all! Thank you for all the love on the Woozi fic I posted a few weeks back. I wanted to introduce myself briefly! My name’s Lily (she/her) and I love to self-indulge with writing sometimes. Here is some Seungcheol comfort and the rest of the boys being cuties for everyone :) Let me know if you have any ideas you’d like to see!
Warnings: being sick, alluding very vaguely to throwing up
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ever the confident, sure of himself, optimistic, and resourceful, Seungcheol projected himself as calm and collected to his members, his coworkers, and to you. It was one of the things that had initially drawn you to him. He was a constant steadying force in your life, even when he was feeling anxious and overwhelmed himself. As a leader, he always tried to keep his worries to himself in order to take care of the other guys. They almost never saw him shook up, although there were some exceptions, especially when it came to you.
It was a Monday and the guys had come in early to run some choreography. Seungcheol had noticed you’d been a bit off over the weekend, not your normal self. You had said you felt a little under the weather, but nothing too bad. When Monday morning rolled around, however, Cheol could tell something was wrong. “Babe,” he nudged your knee slightly under your shared covers while you looked over emails on your phone, “are you sure you’re okay? Do you want me to see if I can stay home?”
“No, no, I’m fine it’s just a stomach ache,” you grimaced a bit, pausing in typing out an email response to a coworker. Seungcheol sighed, placing a hand on your head and smoothing down you hair, unconvinced. “Okay, stay in bed for a bit,” he mumbled, reluctantly leaving your bed to get ready for practice. A few minutes later he walked back into your bedroom, a glass of water for you in hand. You hadn’t moved much from the position he left you in, but your hands were pressed into your brow and your head was bent downward. Hearing him walk in, you looked up and met his gaze. “Are you sure you don’t want me to take you to the hospital? You know I don’t mind being late,” he raised his eyebrows at you, moving to set the water on your bedside table. “I’m fine I just didn’t sleep well,” you said, quickly adding, “I have work to do, shoo” and reaching out to push him towards the door playfully. He holds onto your outstretched hand, though. “Try to eat something and call me if you need anything,” he says, pressing a kiss to your hair before heading out for the day.
A couple hours later, Seungcheol and the other guys were still running choreography, all the details taking a little longer than expected. A secretary popped their head into the room, looking around for Seungcheol. When he meets his eyes Cheol makes his way across the room to him, a little confused at the interruption. “Sorry to interrupt, I have a ‘Y/N’ in the lobby for Seungcheol?” the man asks, keeping his voice low. Despite the effort, all the member’s heads snap to the door– you never make such a formal entrance. Dokyeom almost starts to laugh before seeing all of the color drain out of Cheol’s face and his back stiffen. His mind jumped immediately trying to work through why you didn’t just call, if you were okay, feeling guilty for not insisting he stayed home with you. He knew you wouldn’t just show up unannounced unless something was really wrong. All twelve of the other men felt his shift in mood, but Jeonghan spoke first, reaching out to grab his elbow, “is everything okay?” Cheol’s eyes shifted to Jeonghan’s, noticeably panicked, “she was sick this morning but seemed okay when I left, I don’t know if-”
“I’m sure she’s okay, hyung,” Wonwoo interrupted him, noticing Cheol’s volume raise as he kept talking. He turned back to the secretary, still waiting in the doorway and looking incredibly unsure of what to do, “Could you bring her up, please?” he asked before walking over to Cheol’s stuff and grabbing his water bottle for him. A hush had fallen over the room– the guys didn’t have much experience comforting a shook-up Seungcheol. “Hyung, she was sick?” Dokyeom asked, “I’m sure she just doesn’t feel good and missed you!” he laughed slightly, trying to raise the mood. The guys nodded, agreeing and throwing “don’t worries” his way as they went to grab their phones or water, gladly accepting the impromptu break.
A knock on the door signaled your arrival a few moments later, the secretary opening the door for you and quickly retreating as you thanked him quietly. “Y/N-ah” Seungkwan called out quietly in greeting, earning a glare from Jeonghan. Seungcheol took a couple big, rushed steps towards you. You were in the comfiest sweatpants and hoodie you could find, the hood pushed up over your unbrushed hair and makeup-less face, and just your phone and keys in your front pocket. Cheol’s left hand found your shoulder, his right pushing the hood off of you and cradling the back of your head. You give him a futile smile, knowing before you even started shifting your face that it won’t convince him. “Hey, are you okay? What’s wrong?” he whispered, lowering his head slightly to meet your tired eyes. You looked down, avoiding his eyes out of embarrassment for interrupting his and all the other guys’ work . “I’m sorry,” you started, feeling Cheol automatically tighten his grip on you, “I feel awful and I haven’t been keeping anything down and I’m afraid I’m gonna get dehydrated. I wasn’t sure I should go to the hospital so I thought maybe I could see one of the medics here?” Cheol had brought you to one of them once before when you’d twisted your ankle badly in a pair of heels. He could see how uncomfortable you were, heart breaking a bit knowing you felt so crappy. He pulled you into his chest, hand still holding the back of your head protectively. “Why didn’t you call?” he mumbled, “You know you can always call.”
“I know,” you said into his chest, “but I thought you would be in a meeting by now and I figured having you excuse yourself for a minute would be more professional than having your phone go off.” Despite his nerves still calming down from the panic he felt a few minutes ago, he let out a broken laugh. “You’re so funny, you think too much.”
As he lets you out of his embrace, Jeonghan extends a water bottle to your side, “here you go, Y/N- ah.” You smile up at him, feeling tears well up in your eyes involuntarily. Both men notice, Seungcheol concerned and Jeonghan smiling at your sudden emotion, “are you okay?”
“I’m sorry, I’m so tired and I really don’t feel good. I cry easily when I’m sick,” you sniffle, trying to push your tears back and letting out a choked giggle. Seungkwan and Dokyeom let out audible “aww’s” at you from across the room, making you laugh a little more. “Okay, you, let’s get you to the medic,” Seungcheol wraps a protective hand around your waist and steers you out of the room. “I’ll be back,” he says, followed by your rushed “I’m so sorry, guys” before you’re ushered into the hallway.
Fifteen or so minutes later, you try your best to sneak back into the practice room, Seungcheol holding your hand behind your back and following you in. You stand against the edge of the room for a minute before he lead you towards his bag on the other side of the room, letting you sit down next to his stuff and handing you your half empty water bottle. The guys were all focused on going over a particularly intricate hand movement, but stop when Cheol walks over to join them, looking at him expectantly for an update. “They gave her an IV for hydration. She’s gonna hang out until we’re done and then I’m taking her home.” The guys’ eyes shift to you, your back leaned up against the mirrored wall and head tucked far into your hoodie. “I’m sorry!” you say to the room, a whine in your voice to indicate that you feel horrible about your interruption. They shush you, Seungkwan rolling his eyes playfully, “as if we don’t love having you here no matter what, Y/N.” You smile up at them from the floor, eyes meeting Cheol’s and finally feeling a little better.

Seventeen Reaction: Seeing a Different Side of You
Tumblr media
MASTERLIST
Thanks for the request anon! I hope you like it!!
CHOI SEUNGCHEOL
Tumblr media
He loves this so much, tbh. Firstly, he’s incredibly curious as to how you managed to hide the true nature of your personality. Especially when you’re out and about and he sees you become sort of standoffish again when you meet new people. He’s like????? This is the same person who was doing aegyo to try and get a sip of my drink earlier???? How???? He comes to the natural conclusion that you’re just very guarded around new people. So secondly, he feels very honored that you trust him enough to show him this side of you. He’ll put more effort into making sure you remain feeling comfortable around him and that he doesn’t do anything to break that trust.
YOON JEONGHAN
Tumblr media
Jeonghan is pretty chill and nonjudgmental, so he’s ready to go with the flow when you seem intimidating at first. He’ll respect your boundaries and try a gentle approach to getting to know you so he doesn’t cross any lines or upset you. When you open up a bit more and show that your personality is actually more similar to Hoshi and DK’s, this man is putty in your hands. Jeonghan adores all of his boys, but he loves babying DK and Hoshi. It’s no different with you when he realizes you’re very similar to them. You can expect a lot of pinched cheeks and baby talk, never in a demeaning way, just to show you how much he loves this side of you.
JOSHUA HONG
Tumblr media
My mans is overwhelmed. Joshua has his funny moments and outbursts, but overall is usually more quiet and introverted. So when you seem standoffish at first, he respects that you probably just don’t open up easily, and let’s you take the lead. When he slowly starts seeing the side of you that resembles DK and Hoshi, he sort of feels a sense of dread. Not because he hates that type of personality, but because it can be a bit much for him to keep up with... and he’s already in a group filled with overactive, bubbly people. But after awhile he becomes much more appreciative, because he remembers that it’s good to have balance in his life, and having people like you around really helps push him out of his comfort zone to try new things. So he’s a little intimidated by your non-intimidating personality at first, but he really grows to love it.
WEN JUNHUI
Tumblr media
Also very much a go with the flow person. He hardly even notices when you slowly start opening up and being more comfortable showing him more of your true nature. Because honestly every time you hang out, he just matches your energy. He does notice that instead of shorter meetings in quiet places, the two of you start hanging out for hours and going out all over the place. He really enjoys it and overall is happy to spend time with you whether you’re feeling comfortable enough to be your true self around him or not.
KWON SOONYOUNG
Tumblr media
Of course he’s elated, are you kidding me??? When you first meet, despite how intimidating you are, he is determined to break down your walls and be your friend. He’s actually sort of an overwhelming presence in your life for awhile, because every corner you turn, there’s Soonyoung with some incredibly random question to try and get to know you better. But once you start opening up and matching his energy, he’s off the walls excited. The other boys are suffering because now there’s two of you. You always go along with his tiger agenda. And the two of you have a habit of riling each other up and slowly getting more and more excited until Seungcheol yells that you two need to “either go outside or learn to use your inside voices.” Overall, Soonyoung is so excited to know someone so similar to him that he knows will back him up always.
JEON WONWOO
Tumblr media
Thinks it’s adorable. He knows that he can come off as intimidating when he’s meeting new people because he can be a bit guarded, so when he first meets you, he’s not super put off by how you come off because he understands. Since both of you can be a little standoffish, it actually takes you quite a bit to get close to each other. But when you start opening up, Wonwoo loves it. He knows there are sides to him that are little more bubbly than expected as well, so the two of you bond on how similarly the two of you navigate social situations and how it’s sometimes easier to be guarded around people at first. He feels really seen and understood by you, so he’s very happy to have met you.
LEE JIHOON
Tumblr media
He thought you were on his side, dammit! When you first met them, he loved having you in the studio because your never-ending silence and seemingly intimidating presence always guaranteed that the other boys would actually be quiet and respectful out of fear of upsetting you. Then one night, the whole world just flipped upside-down. Instead of sitting quietly next to him, you were laughing loudly with the boys and encouraging DK and Hoshi’s energetic behavior. Of course, he comes to love it as well. He’ll even make jokes about how you “betrayed” him, but you’ll easily counter with just as witty a quip, leading to a very fun, light-hearted relationship between the two of you.
LEE SEOKMIN
Tumblr media
Seokmin also loves hanging out with anyone. So when you’re more intimidating at first, he’ll put in a very simple and gentle effort to try and be your friend. He’s fine with you being standoffish, he just figures it’ll take you awhile to open up. When you do, and he figures out how similar you are, he loves it! He likes that you two have so much in common personality-wise, it means that you’re both very agreeable towards each other and enjoy most of the same things. He feels like he’s gained another partner in crime and is going to put so much effort into nurturing a wonderful friendship between the two of you.
KIM MINGYU
Tumblr media
Minnie is honestly such a softie at heart that he will genuinely be intimidated by you at first. He’ll struggle a little bit with navigating your social interactions, but he always puts in as much effort into being as kind to you as possible. He’s honestly kind of relieved when you open up more, he was starting to doubt whether you actually liked him or not. He loves your bubbly and excitable personality, he definitely feels more at ease around you and is happy you feel more at ease around him. Mingyu is glad he put in the effort to get to know you, and is really happy to have you in his life.
XU MINGHAO
Tumblr media
Honestly so confused when he sees this other side of you, “Is this even the person that I know???” He also doesn’t understand why you’d hide your true personality. Minghao has never felt the need to be anyone other than himself, so why did you feel the need to mask this side of you? When you two get closer he might bring it up casually, just to make sure it’s not about something more serious. When you admit that it’s just harder for you to trust people quickly, Minghao is very understanding and tells you that you can always talk to him about any worries you have. “And [Y/N], I’m glad that you trust me enough to be your honest self with me.” And you’d never admit it to him, but when he said those words to you they filled you with warmth.
BOO SEUNGKWAN
Tumblr media
Baby Boo is also a little intimidated by you at first. He’s a people pleaser, so when he isn’t met with immediate positivity from you, it sets him off a little. Afterwards, he tries his best to get you on his good side, always greeting you happily, making small talk, and trying to get to know you. You honestly open up more just because you can see you how hard he’s trying. You also apologize for making him doubt at first, but he assures you he understands. He gets really excited when he notices you remind him of DK and Hoshi, it makes him feel even closer to you. It also means the two of you are often on the same wavelength. Overall, Seungkwan is super happy to have you around.
VERNON CHWE
Tumblr media
Vernon is honestly such an easy-going, kind, accepting, welcoming, non-judgmental person that he’s probably the best at going through this transition. It honestly doesn’t even take that long for you to open up around him because he feels like such a safe person to be around. When Vernon notices you opening up, he gets really excited. He’s happy to match your energy and loves having another lively person around. He’s also super understanding of why you don’t always immediately show your true self to others and is always a steady friend to depend on whenever you need anything. He’s honored you trust him enough to be yourself around him and will do anything to keep that trust.
LEE CHAN
Tumblr media
Another person who’s actually genuinely intimidated by you at first. He is slightly better at hiding it than Mingyu and Seungkwan, but he’s still a little on edge around you. Chan is also the type to really fight for people’s approval, so it’s agony for him for awhile. He really can’t tell if you’re just shy or if you do not like him at all. But he doesn’t give up on trying to get close to you as long as he has a chance to. When you start to open up more, Chan is so happy. He thinks it’s hilarious that you’re so much like DK and Hoshi, especially after how you came off at first. He thinks you’re one of the funniest people he’s ever met and feels like his life has improved tenfold since you opened up to him.

when you spoke to me..
Tumblr media
doctor!joshua x f!reader 4.1k words, readers ex keeps texting her to take him back, fake dating au, honestly doesn’t focus much on joshua being a doctor other than at the beginning but he still is a rich doctor, fluff, angst, one sided love (?) (you’ll get it when u read it), part of waves will take us far away series !
why were hospital layouts so complicated sometimes? now you’re accidentally in the room of a really cute doctor embarrassing yourself while you fumble with your phone trying to find the correct room your friend was in.. but wait is he smiling at you?
“you what?” you screamed to your friend over the phone, “who the hell is stupid enough to go on a hike when they have a broken leg?”
“ankle. it’s a broken ankle. besides it all worked out in the end right? at least everything with cheol got cleared up” she giggled, and you sighed remembering the crush she’d developed on her doctor of all people.
“yeah yeah i guess, look you get some rest i’ll come visit you tomorrow with jeonghan. feel better alright!” you let out another deep sigh when your friend hung up. you loved her but she really did make some terrible decisions sometimes.
the bed sheets were warm beneath you, it’d started getting warmer as spring approached and you knew you were definitely grateful for it. the cold weather always made the skin on your hands rough.
the notification sound on your phone went off. confused you checked your phone again in case it was from your friend. you let out a groan when you read who the text was from. ‘i’m sorry i miss you’ read the text from your ex. you’d blocked him weeks ago but he kept finding ways to contact you through new or his friends’ accounts. annoyed, you put your phone on mute and put your head on your pillow ready to sleep.
Tumblr media
balloons tied to your wrist and three gift bags resting on your forearms, you walked through the hospital halls keeping a lookout for any staff that could help you find where the room you were looking for was.
you didn't usually visit this hospital so you weren’t familiar with the setting. room 139. you just passed 122 so surely you can't be far, right? after walking for a few more minutes, you found room 139. something seemed off though.
you were sure jeonghan had told you that he was already here and after peeking your head in, you couldn’t catch sight of him. weird. maybe he just stepped out to grab something. oh well.
pushing the door open you could've cried at the sight in front of you. yeah you were right to be wary. instead of your friends you were met with an elderly man currently getting a cast on his arm.
“i am so so sorry” you said breathlessly as you tried to get out of the room. before you did, your eyes met with the second doctor in the room, was he.. laughing at you? ‘jerk’ you rolled your eyes before walking out of the room.
turning on your heel, you gave one last apology before trying to find the correct room. before you could make it far, you felt someone grab onto your arm to get your attention. ‘what the hell did he want?’
“can i help you?” you told him curtly.
“i can help you if you need actually. i’m guessing you’re here to visit someone and it wasn’t that man back there” he smiled at you. okay now you felt bad. he was just a cute doctor that wanted to help you out.
“oh.. thank you” you smiled at him, “uh this was the room that my friend has told me. i’m visiting her, she had a fractured ankle..”
“oh!” his eyes widened, “do you know who your friend’s doctor is? is it choi seungcheol?”
“oh that’s right!”
“yeah come with me i’ll take you to where it is. you were in the wrong ward”
you frowned. why would the hospital use the same numbering system for every ward? it’s so over complicated. whatever. at least you were getting there now. you continued to follow doctor.. well actually what was his name?
“excuse me doctor? what’s your name if you don’t mind me asking”
“hm? oh i’m doctor hong but you can call me joshua i don’t mind” he smiled again at you, and when you saw it you don’t know how you managed to dislike him at first when he had such a kind smile. “and what’s your name?”
“my name’s yn. sorry for making you go through all this trouble by the way, you must’ve been busy”
“oh no don’t worry about it, i wouldn’t have offered if i didn’t want to”
after about ten minutes of walking joshua showed you to where the room was, and you saw all of your friends. thanking joshua one more time you made your way in before waving back at him.
Tumblr media
when visiting hours were done, you and jeonghan we’re making it out of the hospital together before you heard your phone vibrate a few times in your pocket.
you groaned at how it kept going, knowing it meant that it was your ex that found another way to contact you.
“you know, this should be considered borderline harassment at this point. he won’t leave you alone!” jeonghan sounded annoyed when you both confirmed it was your ex texting again, “he’s got no shame too, he’s the one who cheats and now he’s begging to have you back”
“i don’t even care anymore, i planned on getting a new phone and number soon anyway. so he can have fun texting the phone that nobody’s using” you sighed, exasperated at his efforts.
you’d told him weeks ago to stop contacting you, that no matter how much he did this wasn’t going to ‘win you back’. he was a terrible human being and you didn’t want anything to do with him.
“oh? yn?” you heard a familiar voice call out not too far from where you and jeonghan were.
turning to identify where the sound was coming from, you relaxed when you saw it was the doctor that helped you earlier.
“hi joshua, you getting off work now?” you waited for him to catch up to you.
“yeah. hey jeonghan” he waved to the man smiling deviously next to you, “uh yn do you have a ride home?”
“she doesn’t! i had to meet my parents for dinner right after so i couldn’t” before you could answer jeonghan was already doing it for you, faking a pout. “but hey, you could take yn home, couldn’t you shua?”
“if that’s okay with you yn i’d be happy to” joshua smiled at you again, that same too sweet smile.
“if it’s not any trouble to you” you told him sheepishly, “then i’d really appreciate it”
Tumblr media
joshua’s car was nice, you could tell he took good care of it, making sure everything in the glove compartments were organised and that the seats were as clean as the carpets. you’d spent the time talking and getting to know each other. falling into conversation with joshua was too easy, almost as if you’d known each other for years. you’d learnt about how much of a kind person he was, but he never bragged about it, just about how incredibly grateful he was to be able to give to others. there was no way someone as nice as him really existed. and he looked that good too? oh it really wasn’t fair.
but you can really never have too much of a good thing because here came the 703rd call from your ex in the last few weeks. groaning you decline it but then came the bombardment of texts saying how he ‘loved you and didn’t mean it’.
“is that your boyfriend?” joshua asked, and if you weren’t so distracted with blocking the new number he was contacting you from, you would’ve caught the masked disappointment in his voice.
“thankfully no. but i don’t want to bother you with the whole story” you turned to look at him, but he was silently telling you to go on, like he doesn’t mind if you vented to him despite only knowing him a few hours. from what jeonghan had told you after being friends with joshua for a few months now, he was definitely a good listener. “he’s my ex. we’d broken up like a year ago or something but a few weeks ago he kept trying to reach out again out of nowhere. i’m guessing he realised that no girl wanted him so he thought i’d take him back”
“and what he’s just been bothering you for the last few weeks? have you tried telling the authorities?”
“i’ve thought about it but he’s harmless. i saw him at the store about a week ago and he didn’t even approach me. he’s all bark and no bite. i think if he sees i’m with someone else he’ll definitely back off” you sighed rubbing at your temples, you could feel yourself getting a headache already.
“are you? with someone else i mean?” he looked nervous. it was so cute.
“no, but why do you ask?” you asked him with a teasing lilt in your voice.
“well, my parents have been annoying me for weeks about finding a partner. so how about we just help each other out and pretend we’re going out with one another?”
it honestly was a good idea but you couldn’t help feel a little disappointed that it would just be fake dating. joshua was fun though so you’d push back your own brief hurt in favour of at least hanging out with him more often.
Tumblr media
‘morning !! do u think u can meet me at this cafe at around 3 today ? need to ask u smth’ read the text that joshua had sent you today. it had been a few weeks since he drove you home and you’d both been texting back and forth getting to know each other more, and he mentioned that you both might have to meet soon last night. you texted him back, and agreed to meeting up. after getting ready, you left the apartment at around 2:30 to get to the cafe that joshua had told you about.
you texted joshua again to let him know you were outside and he told you that he was waiting at the table near the window on the left. when you stepped in you found him immediately. he was dressed casually, you’re guessing he didn’t have work today.
“hey, do you want me to grab you something to drink?” he smiled at you, helping you with your things.
you looked over the menu before he recommended something, promising you it would be good as he’d visited the cafe a lot. he went to place the order before joining you again at the table.
“did you have work off today?” you asked him.
“oh yeah, i don’t usually work fridays” he took a sip of his drink, “but anyway. the reason i asked you here was because i was wondering if you could come with me to some dinner my aunt’s hosting this weekend. her daughter graduated and my parents mentioned they wanted to meet you”
this weekend? that’s so sudden. i mean it’s not like you really had any plans anyway but it was still really sudden, “i’m free so i can go just.. well how formal is this dinner? like should i dress up or..” you trailed off, mentally trying to remember everything in your closet and if you had something fit for the occasion.
“it’s pretty formal i guess” he said sheepishly, rubbing the nape of his neck, “it’s at some fancy restaurant and i’m going wearing a suit. of course if you need me to i can definitely help you find a dress!”
“don’t worry about it” you laughed, pulling out your phone so you could find a picture. “i have a few formal ones but this is one i wore to my friend’s engagement party a couple months back, you think this’ll be alright?”
joshua looked at the picture, lips curving up into a smile before he met your gaze, “you look really pretty in that dress”
you flushed, taking a sip of your drink while thinking of a way to not let him get the upper hand, he can’t make you fall for him it wouldn’t be fair.
“thanks.. i just remembered! i have a high school reunion on the 30th. are you busy that day? i’m pretty sure it’s a friday”
you saw joshua frown thinking over it before opening what you’re guessing is his calendar app on his phone, “nope. i don’t have anything that day so i can go with you”
“great! my ex should be there too so after that he should stop bothering me too”
maybe it was all just in your head but you felt like you saw joshua tense a little at the mention of your ex, “has he texted you since?”
“i think he’s finally getting the hint. he doesn’t text as much anymore thankfully”
Tumblr media
you were finishing up the last touches on your makeup when you heard someone ring your doorbell. you checked the camera to see it was joshua, a bouquet of flowers in his hands. you let him in, instantly taking note of his appearance.
you could hardly appreciate it from the cameras but in person you could see in detail how the suit he was wearing hugged his figure so well. the suit itself was black paired with a white button up and a purple tie.
“i remembered your dress was purple and thought i’d match the tie with it” joshua told you sheepishly when he saw how focused you were on it. “these are for you! i saw jeonghan today and asked him to make a bouquet for me”
you took the flowers, grinning at his thoughtfulness and thanking him, “is jeonghan still trying to win over your guys’ surgeon friend?”
joshua laughed at your comment, remembering how jeonghan had once called him at 3am to know what type of flowers his friend likes, “yeah he is. think she’ll say yes any day now”
you hummed, nodding. “how much time until we have to be there by the way?”
“about 45 minutes, it’ll only take us fifteen minutes to get there from here” he told you, checking his watch that you could just tell was expensive. you nodded again, telling him you’ll be right out after putting your dress on and grabbing a few things.
joshua waited on your couch for you to finish getting ready, scrolling through his phone to pass time. after a few minutes, he looked up when he heard you clear your throat nervously.
“you look amazing, yn. really, you do” and joshua wasn’t lying. he always thought you were pretty and right now was no different. but joshua bit back those thoughts though, admitting to himself would mean he’d also have to admit that he can’t ever have you. “so uh, you ready to go?” joshua winced at the lump in his throat and the way his voice cracked ever so slightly, and he was grateful for the fact that you were checking over the things in your purse one last time so you didn’t notice it.
you nodded and the both of you made your way to his car.
joshua was oddly quiet on the car ride, opting to just play music to fill the silence. when you arrived at the restaurant, joshua opened the door for you and helped you out. “the restaurant’s technically part of some five star hotel” he explained when you looked at it a little confused.
“ohh it looks really pretty” you smiled up at him while he held your hand leading you to the entrance.
joshua told the receptionist his name and she led you both over to where joshua and his family were waiting. when you actually saw them, the nerves finally hit you. what if you accidentally let slip that you and joshua weren’t really dating? what if you embarrass joshua?
joshua seemed to take notice of your nerves, squeezing your hand gently and whispering a “you’ll be fine, they’re going to love you”.
and it seems joshua was right. the night did go smoothly and you congratulated joshua’s cousin for her graduation. his family was kind, they didn’t once make you feel awkward or uncomfortable, instead complimenting you and making sure you didn’t feel left out.
by the time the dinner was over you were honestly sad that you’d have to leave his family, they were so fun you wanted to be with them more often. you left for a few minutes to go to the bathroom and when you came back you found joshua looking for you.
“joshua? what’s up?” taking note of how he looked a little annoyed and out of breath.
“yn i’m so sorry. my uncle just told me now that they’d booked rooms for all us to stay at the hotel tonight. if you feel uncomfortable with it i can just say you have a work thing tomorrow and we can’t stay” you really didn’t mind staying, but you were surprised and did feel guilty that they paid for you. he wasn’t saying it for your sake but you knew joshua secretly wanted to stay. his job makes it hard for him to see his family often so he’d appreciate this time with them. at the same time, you knew that staying would only make you more regretful of the fact that joshua didn’t feel the same about you.
“it’s fine, i don’t mind staying”
surprisingly enough, you’d managed to fall asleep pretty quick considering when you fell asleep joshua was still taking a shower.
when joshua got out he saw you on the bed and couldn’t help the soft smile breaking at his features. he saw your phone was still unlocked, a video still playing. ‘you must’ve fallen asleep watching it’.
he was about to turn it off before rolling his eyes at the texts from your ex again. he was about to block it for you until an idea crossed his mind. joshua fought mentally with himself as he debated whether or not he should go through with it. he sent a picture the two of you had taken together earlier to your ex, a ‘can u leave us alone ..?’ text attached to it while he silently prayed you wouldn’t think he was crossing any lines by doing so.
Tumblr media
you met up with joshua a lot more after the dinner with his family. but the both of you getting closer was not doing anything to help your own feelings. joshua by no means felt the same about you. when you’d gotten to know joshua and the people close to him, you learnt that he was always the bold one when it came to people he liked. he’d always be the one to ask someone out, the one to go the extra mile for them. so the fact that he hadn’t done that for you, or even implied he wanted to, it wasn’t hard to assume that he just simply didn’t like you in that way. joshua wanted you as a friend and nothing more or less and you just had to live happily with that.
the reunion was soon. you’d texted joshua about it again, reminding him the address and time it was. you noticed your ex stopped texting you and part of you felt a little disappointed at it. you were grateful he finally took the hint but sad because what if this meant joshua wouldn’t have to keep up the act anymore? you were aware you probably seemed crazy and pathetic clinging onto a fake relationship that was only proposed for convenience, but that’s how you felt and you couldn’t help it and were too tired of it all to make an excuse.
dressed in a plain black tee paired with black slacks and a blazer, joshua picked you up for the reunion. as hard as you’d tried to make it seem like nothing was up, you knew joshua could tell. you silently hoped he would just assume it’s nerves because you still hadn’t thought of a way to tell him that you wanted to break off the agreement of fake dating.
why was this so complicated? it’s not like you two were actually dating so it’s not like it’s an actual breakup, but it still felt like you were losing something. what if joshua only talked to you so much was because he needed someone that was willing to pretend to be his girlfriend?
you shook the thoughts out of your head as you both pulled up to the place the reunion was being held. stepping out, you could already see some familiar faces, smiling and hugging them whenever they came to greet you.
the night went by with you catching up with old classmates, introducing them to joshua too. it was scary how well he was able to get along with people instantly. you were honestly surprised that your ex hadn’t bothered you all night, guess he saw joshua and backed off.
when you decided to leave the reunion, joshua suggested you both grab dinner somewhere. the food served at the reunion wasn’t the best so the both of you hadn’t eaten much all night. and that’s how the both of you ended up in the parking lot of some takeout place, laughing while you both told stories of your high schools together.
it was fun, and you hated the part of yourself that always made you overthink. ‘none of this is even real, joshua doesn’t care about you like that. so stop thinking this means the two of you are really dating’.
“yn, what’s wrong?” joshua sounded alarmed, and it was only then you took notice of the tears welling up in your eyes, rubbing aggressively at them immediately.
“think that the contacts are just irritating my eyes, don’t worry” you assured him but he still didn’t look satisfied with your answer.
“here let me help you-”
“it’s fine joshua” you sighed, “look about this whole pretending to be dating thing. i really can’t do it anymore. pretending to be in a relationship with you is killing me-”
“fine. i’m sorry if i did something to hurt you or make you uncomfortable. it was stupid of me to send that picture to your ex-”
“what picture?” you looked up at him confused, what the hell was he talking about?
“the one i sent to your ex and i told him that we were happy and to leave us alone..”
“is that why he stopped bothering me? oh well i didn’t know about that but thanks because it’s the only thing that managed to shut him up”
“wait what? so then what are you mad at me about?” he pouted.
you stayed silent. you knew exactly where this was headed and if it carried on you knew it’d lead to you spilling your guts to him, and you weren’t sure you could do that. because if you did you’d lose joshua forever.
“nothing, don’t worry about it” you mumbled, going back to swirling the plastic spoon around the ice cream in your cup.
“no no no” you heard joshua say, his fingers holding on to the underside of your jaw gently so that you turned your attention to him. “tell me, yn”
“i can’t” you whispered, tears welling up again, “if i do i’ll lose you forever. i don’t think i can do that, shua” you knew tears were freely spilling past your eyes at this point but you couldn’t care.
“yn, i promise you, you’re not going to lose me. i love you far too much to let you go” you still shook your head at him sniffling and unbelieving of his words. “yn you mean so much to me that i’m willing ignore my feelings for you because i know you don’t feel the same way. you mean so much to me that i’d rather wake up knowing i can’t have you the way i want then to wake up not having you in my life at all. you mean so much to me yn, so please don’t think i’d try leaving you”
you sat, stunned at joshua’s confession. it was like he could read your heart and turned all the feelings and words you wanted to give him into his own. he looked at you warily for a few seconds, scared you wouldn’t reciprocate his feelings. if only he knew how much you’d been thinking the same about him for months.
you inched closer to him, closing your eyes as you brushed your lips over his. joshua tensed before melting into the kiss too, and your heart grew warmer and how you could feel him smile into the kiss.
when you both pulled away, you were both smiling, “you know this doesn’t serve as a confession right? i want you to list every single thing that made you like me!”
you laughed at his words, whining “no don’t make me say it, you just want to tease me”
“oh so you’re allowed to hear me pour my heart out to you but if i wanna hear you say it back it’s too much?” he jokingly pouted, bringing you closer for a hug while he fought off his own giggles hearing yours.

Kim Mingyu - Marketing Director
The nameplate on the door sends a shiver up your spine, knowing that the man you had accidentally pulled in for a drunk kiss the night before during the weekly company bonding dinner, was sitting just behind the door. He was pissed, had pushed you away, made a big deal in wiping his mouth with the back of his hand in disgust. Causing you to sober up quickly and regretting it.
It’s no secret that God had taken his sweet time when creating Kim Mingyu Marketing Director of GoSe Enterprises. He put all the Greek Gods you spent your free time reading about to shame. You’ve been crushing on him since he sat in the cubicle next to yours for years. The two of you had developed a nice easy-going friendship. He was sweet, funny, and always offered amazing advice, both on personal and professional matters. You were practically head over heals for him.
Then the promotion came, granting Mingyu with an office on the southside of the company building. Huge windows overlooking the city below, and the office. A nice fancy gold nameplate with his new job description underneath it. Naturally, the two of you grew apart, ripped from one another without a warning. He was no longer rooting for you and your ideas. Instead, he was the one turning down all your project proposals. He was the one assigning you the revision tasks he knew you hated doing. He was the reason for the random spikes of anxiety throughout the workday. He was no longer your friend, he was your supervisor. His soft demeanor and fleeting touches were nowhere to be found. Lost amongst piles of paperwork surrounding his desk.
You took a deep breath holding your laptop close against your chest, eyeing the nameplate on the large dark wooden door that took your Mingyu away from you a year ago. You were nervous. He only ever called you down to his office if you had a proposal revision due, which this time you didn’t.
The last idea you had pitched two weeks ago was turned down before you could finish your sentence during your first PowerPoint slide. He didn’t even give you the chance to improve it, simply said, “trash it, it’s not worth wasting your time when it’s not a plausible option.” So, the only other option left and the one that made sense was your slip-up the night before. He had called you down to ask for your resignation letter for breaking company policy.
“If you keep staring at the door it won’t magically open,” Chan spoke next to you making you jump. “I’m just saying.” He shrugged sheepishly and opened the door, walking in with confidence. “Mingyu I have the copies you asked for.”
You filed in after him, situating yourself close to the wall and by the door, while Mingyu instructed Chan on where to set down the copies. Your heart was beating rapidly against your chest, watching as the two of them laughed about some inside joke they had. The anger along with jealousy boiled with fever deep within you.
This was the problem. Mingyu had only changed when it came to you. With everyone else he was the same Mingyu you once had the pleasure of knowing, and that not only confused you but it made you angry. “Are we still on for guys' night this friday?” Chan asked the older male pointing finger guns at him.
“Yes, of course, drinks are on Seungcheol this time, which makes my wallet really happy.” Mingyu clapped Chan on the back and led him towards his office door. “Same bar with the cute bartender?” He emphasized, his angry gaze falling on you for a second.
Subtle you silently scoffed rolling your eyes, holding your laptop as close to your body as humanly possible. If he didn’t make his distaste towards you obvious by his reaction last night, he surely made it painfully clear just now.
“That’s the one.” Chan nodded, sending you a pitying look, one you didn’t need. You knew you were fucked.
Everyone knew about your painful crush on Mingyu. Everyone had seen you grab the collar of his dark maroon shirt last night and plant a wet alcohol filled kiss against his lips. Everyone had seen the way he reacted, yanking his suit jacket off the back of his chair and walking out of the bar pissed. So, you didn’t need the various pitying looks you were getting since the moment you walked in that morning.
“Alright then I’ll see you then, don’t forget to turn in your proposal by tomorrow night, Jeonghan keeps bugging me about it.”
Chan sighed, hitting his forehead with the palm of his hand, “shit, I’ll have it done by tomorrow morning.” He said quickly before speed walking back to his cubicle. Leaving you alone to face the problem you had caused.
Mingyu laughed lightly, shaking his head as he shut the door to his office, “I knew he forgot.” He mumbled before straightening his back, the scowl you were used to seeing appeared on his face once again. He walked past you to his desk, taking a seat next to his name plate. You stayed put, looking down at the floor, only counting the tiny dust bunnies that were visible to your eye.
Mingyu cleared his throat, “We need to talk about what happened last night.”
You raised your head pushing yourself off the wall and walked to him. Stopping behind one of the leather chairs in front of his desk. “Don’t need to, It’s my fault for breaking company policy. I’ll hand in my resignation letter to Jeonghan tonight.” You kept your eyes trained on the skyscraper reflecting through the window behind him. Anything was better than looking at him right now.
He sighed, running a frustrated hand across his face. He pushed himself away from his desk and took a step forward. “I didn’t call you in here to ask you to resign.”
Confused, you tore your eyes from the building behind him and looked at him. The bags under his eyes that had started to form from lack of sleep and overwork were now more prominent than before. It made you wonder if he hadn’t slept last night because of you, but then you remembered the huge project he was currently working on, so you casted that thought aside.
“Oh then...I-umm, why am I here?”
“Do you have any idea the position you put me in last night?” He furrowed his brows, placing a knee down on the chair in front of him. He leaned his forearms against the back of it, closing the distance you purposely kept between the two of you.
You took a step back, scrunching your nose, “I don’t understand. You don’t want me to resign. If I’m not getting penalized then why am I here?” You dropped your arms in defeat. “If you called me in here to tell me you’re not interested in me, you don’t have to. I already know.” You finished swallowing the lump that had formed at the back of your throat.
“That’s the problem.” Mingyu pointed an accusing finger at you before retreating it. “I am interested in you, more than interested in you. I have strong feelings for you and I can’t act on them because I don’t want everyone to think that I favor you, because I do.”
I’m dreaming, you thought pressing the palm of your hand against your heated forehead. You had to be dreaming, life has never been this giving to you, “wait I’m confused...you ran out last night, literally pushed me away, disgusted. Do you have any idea how that felt? I had to sit down and face our co-workers with a fake smile on my face because I didn’t want them to see me cry.”
Mingyu’s face softened, he gripped the back of the chair hard enough for his knuckles to almost turn white. “I know and I’m sorry but if I had stayed then I would’ve kept kissing you. You have no idea how badly I’ve been wanting to do that.” He dropped his head releasing a shuddering breath. “Every time we stayed here working over time, the only thing I could think about was how easy it’d be if I just leaned over a little more and kissed you. No one would be around, no one would see, it would just be our little secret. But the stupid company policy always seemed to find it’s way into my head and I never let myself cross that boundary.”
“Mingyu w-why are you telling me this now? Even if we have feelings for one another, my job is important to me and I don’t want to risk getting fired because we’re together.” You blinked rapidly, now was not the time to cry. You could cry later in the communal bathroom across the hall, or on the bus ride home, just anywhere but here.
“Well,” Mingyu rounded the corner of the chairs and made his way to you, finally closing the distance. “I talked to Jeonghan -”
“Wait you told him we kissed?” You were sure your eyes were bulging out of their sockets as the realization hit you. Of course, Mingyu wasn’t going to fire you, he was saving himself the burden and having Jeonghan do it for him.
He chuckled, placing a hand against your hip making you jump, “Just how drunk were you last night? Jeonghan was there when it happened. He called me and threatened to fire me for leaving you the way I did.” He whispered, circling his arm around you and pulling you close, making you stumble from the sudden impact. “H’said, fuck company policy and that I was stupid for following it when no one does.”
“Wait are you saying th -”
“Yes we can be together as long as we keep our work and personal lives separate, so, no sex in my office.”
You gasped hitting his chest lightly, this lewd side of Mingyu was one you had never seen before. Or at least you had but in a much more subtle way. “Well of course, we can’t do that. That was never going to be part of the deal.” The thought of him pressing you against his desk after hours sent a thrilling shiver up your spine. You bit your lip, shaking your head. No, not allowed, focus.
“Why not? I’ve slept on the couch here a few times. It's pretty comfortable.” He reassured, hooking his thumb in the belt loops of your dark slacks. “And your ass looks so good in these pants, I literally have to make it my mission to not stare.”
“I’m flattered, I guess. But look around Gyu.” His gaze followed your hand as you waved it around in front of him. “It’s an office with huge windows, everyone can see -”
He pulled you closer, eloping your body in both of his arms, “so?” He tilted his head to the side, a smirk playing against his lips. You had forgotten how much he liked to tease you.
“So?” You rolled your eyes, “were you not listening to what I was saying everyone can see.” You emphasized, poking his cheek with your index finger.
Mingyu bit his bottom lip trying to suppress his laughter. He forgot how easily flustered you could get, especially when he would say something out of pocket to you. Sure, half of the time you would ignore him, sometimes you would simply roll your eyes, focused on whatever you were working on. Other times he would leave you at a loss for words.
“Frankly, I don’t see the problem. We can just wait until everyone goes home and then give whoever is walking by a free show.” He finished raising his eyebrows suggestively at you.
You rolled your eyes, pushing him away and walked to his door. “I can’t believe you’re already thinking about having sex with me and you haven’t even asked me out on a date or to be your girlfriend.” You pushed his door open and walked out, “the audacity you have Kim Mingyu.”
He felt panic surge through him, his big mouth getting the best of him once again. “Woah woah wait I was getting there, you didn’t give me the chance to ask.” He followed you out the door, trying to keep up with your hasty steps. Who knew you could walk so fast in heels.
Once you were at your cubicle you sat down, placing your laptop on top of your desk, waking it up. “Too late, company policy says we have to keep our work and personal lives separate, guess you’re going to have to wait a while.” You look at the digital clock on your desk, “Five and a half hours to be exact.”
Mingyu threw his head back, frustrated. As much as he enjoyed teasing you, he had forgotten that you were equally as evil if not worse. He had waited to ask you out for more than two years and now that he could, he literally couldn’t wait five and a half hours.
“Friday, after work?” He whispered, covering the side of his mouth with his hand to make it look less suspicious. It wasn’t working.
“What about guys night and that cute bartender?” You smirked, clicking around your computer opening the files you were working on earlier.
Mingyu took a deep breath and grabbed the back of your chair, swinging it around ripping you away from your computer screen. “Fuck guys night honey, I’m taking you home, cooking you the best meal you’ve ever had and then -” He stopped peaking over your cubicle. Everyone that had tuned in to your debacle, quickly scrambled to focus on whatever they were doing before you and Mingyu walked in. He nodded once before leaning down, his lips close to your ear, whispering, “then I’m going to fuck you against my window so everyone can see that you’re finally mine.”
You bit your lip to keep yourself from moaning. You put your hand on his chest and leaned in, placing a soft kiss against the shell of his ear. “Kinky, ask me again in five and a half hours.” You gave his cheek a gentle pat before pushing him away, returning your attention to what you were doing.
Mingyu grumbled, shoulders slumped as he dragged himself back to his office. You stifled a laugh, the butterflies you had once felt for him returning.
“You know I heard all of that.” Soonyoung spoke, peeking his head into your cubicle, his eyes wide like he had just seen a ghost, or something utterly disgusting.
Fuck! Mingyu! You whined silently before turning to face your cubicle mate. “I’ll buy you lunch if you pretend like you didn’t hear anything.”
He put a pensive hand on his chin before sticking his hand out for you to shake. “Deal, I suddenly have been overcome with amnesia, whatever happened in the last five minutes I do not remember, that’s only if you promise to also finish revising this project proposal for me.” He waved the large packet of white copy paper in front of you.
You groaned, “that wasn’t part of the deal we just shook on.”
He sucked in air, “I don’t remember that.” He pouted. “I have amnesia, remember.”
“Fuck fine.”

Tumblr media
Every Friday night, you would pull up to the dorm where the seventeen members resided for your weekly movie night. Every week without fail, there was an argument over what kind of movie you guys would be watching, and every single week, the movie ended up being some weird action movie you had never heard of.
However, you wanted to change that with this weeks movie night. You had had it planned out for the entire week, excitement growing in your stomach as the day grew closer. Your boyfriend Wonwoo, had been pestering you about it all week, texts about what genre the movie was, what you were going to wear etc etc.
What you didn’t tell him however, was that you had a special surprise planned just for him. You smirked as you pulled up to the driveway, pulling your skirt down a little further on your thighs. Wonwoo had never seen this skirt on you before, but you knew it would drive him crazy.
Upon knocking on the door of the dorm, Jeonghan opened the door and gave you a beaming smile. You smiled back as he let you in, exchanging small talk with him as you walked down the hall towards the room where you would all be situated for the movie night. As you both entered through the doorway, a chorus of ‘hello’s’ and welcomes filled the room, saying your hello’s back to them.
Your eyes scanned the room for your boyfriend, and when you finally found him, situated in a dark corner and covered with a blanket, he gave you a small wave and beckoned you over. Upon seeing your appearance closer to him, you noticed a darkness glaze over his eyes, before he raked his eyes up and down your body again before opening the blanket up and letting you sit next to him.
Perfect, your plan was starting to take effect.
You and Wonwoo had not been able to have sex much recently, mainly due to him being so busy with his schedules and upcoming promotions with the group. He always managed to make time for you though, texting you when he could through the day, sending photos and seeing you for your weekly movie night. Other than that, everything else had been lacking, and you were finally starting to feel the implications that came along with it.
You were so so needy, to the point of wanting to beg Wonwoo to take you right then and there under the blanket. You knew better then that however, which is why you planned to tease him under the blanket until he caved and fucks you senseless. This was also why you planned to not wear any underwear under your skirt.
You just hoped he was feeling the same way, and luckily for you, he was feeling the exact same.
“I picked the movie for tonight, I hope you guys don’t mind, I’ve wanted to watch this for a while”
Wonwoo quirked an eyebrow at your statement; normally you were just content with watching whatever the other members had picked, and it was unusual for you to be this direct with the group. He watched as you slowly got up, purposefully swaying your hips in his face to get a rise out of him. He sucked in a breath as you did so, his pants were going to start feeling really uncomfortable soon if you kept this up.
As you put the disc into the DVD player and the intro screen started up, you heard lots of groans and whispers, along with every single one of the boys gawking at you when you turned around. A blush had crept across your cheeks at this point, and you knew that Wonwoo was staring at you with a hard gaze that left arousal pooling between your legs and becoming slightly uncomfortable.
“Oh grow up, it’s just 50 Shades of Grey, you wont die from watching it”
Another chorus of moans and someone say “yeah but my dick might” sent you into a fit of laughter, hands grabbing your sides as you walked back to where you had been sitting before with Wonwoo. He eyed the skirt you were wearing again, before licking his lips and sinking his teeth into them, eyes grazing over your body for the nth time that night.
When you reached your spot with Wonwoo, he all but yanked your arm down so that you were now situated on his lap rather than beside him, an arm snaking around your waist to keep you seated there. Some quizzical looks were seen from some around the room from the members, but you just smirked as you hit play on the movie.
About halfway through the movie, half of the group members had either fallen asleep or were so intrigued with the movie that they were sitting and watching slack-jawed, too interested to pull away. You had noticed that Wonwoo’s grip on your hips had tightened slightly, and could feel a slight bulge growing from underneath you. You turned towards him with a smile and placed a gentle kiss on his lips, him giving you a hard stare before pulling you in and whispering in your ear so no-one else could hear.
“What the fuck kind of game are you playing right now? Did you set this up?”
You just smirk and kiss him once more, giving him the confirmation that he needed. He slowly shifted one of his hands up your thighs, hands ghosting over where you wanted him so badly. You moved a hand down to sit on top of his hand, guiding him towards your naked core, where he hissed slightly at the contact of skin straight away.
“You dirty slut, you planned this all along”
He immediately placed a hand on your pussy, running two fingers through your soaking folds. You slapped a hand over your mouth as he found your clit and rubbed it harshly, trying to elicit a moan from you. His mouth found purchase on your neck, sucking a hickey into it lightly.
He was relentless in his torture, and only made it worse when he entered a finger into your entrance, causing you to let out a small whimper, and the remaining members who were awake turned to look at you curiously. You shot them a smile to let them know you were okay before they turned back to focus their attention on the movie.
“That was a close one sweetheart, don’t want them to hear your pretty moans while im finger fucking you hm?”
His dirty talk was slowly sending you over the edge, you now rocking back onto his fingers as they continued their ministrations on your clit and in your entrance. He moved his lips back to your neck as he sucked another hickey into your neck, now trying to get you to cum all over his fingers.
You were so, so close to going over the edge, you just needed one more push and you would be in euphoria. The euphoria finally hit you just as Wonwoo entered a second finger into your entrance as his other hand rubbed your clit, you slapping your hand over your mouth once more as you whimpered lightly, the feeling washing over you and stars dotting your vision.
Wonwoo lightly fingered you through your orgasm as you came down, shaking on his lap. A sigh left your lips as he pulled his fingers out and wiped them on his pants, a small smirk present on his lips as he did so.
Suddenly, the lights had turned on and the other 12 members were looking at you both, some gawking and some smirking. Seungcheol was standing near the light, a sigh leaving his lips as he looked at u both.
“If you’re going to do that, can you at least move into a different room? There are still children present!”
He motioned to Seungkwan, Vernon and Chan who were all bright red on the cheeks, and Chan gawking at you. Vernon turned to him and gently pushed his jaw shut, before a flurry of conversations started as the movie had now ended.
“With pleasure”
A whisper in your ear made you shudder as Wonwoo stood up and pulled you after him, pulling your skirt down and grabbing your hand to take you to his room. Whistles and clapping were heard as you left, and Wonwoo just flipped them off before opening the door and practically shoving you inside.
“I think we need to finish what you started in there sweetheart”
His voice had dropped an octave and the lust was raging in his eyes. You knew you were going to be in for a long night ahead.
