The Charmingman backstory made me unreasonably sad, I legit hope poor Mauka is okay and can be reunited with his brother 💔

There's definitely a reoccurring theme of police negligence and possible discrimination (I feel like maybe Charmingman and Mauka are Native Hawaiians but I'm not confident) which I'm cautiously interested in as well

I am also salivating at the potential parallels with the Joestar brothers too and of Charmingman bonding with Jodio like a little brother 🥺 also please bring back Wild Cat Size please I need more ally animal stand users

THE CATS LIVE!!!!! And Sand Guy seems to be a set up as a new protagonist, no less… I always found it sus that despite all that talk of him being totally ruthless, he was nevertheless a clear amateur when it actually came to killing! So with the revelation that the decapitated Wild Cat Size was just an illusion, I’m feeling pretty vindicated! I’ve always wanted to see an illusion stand in Jojo’s, and Araki pulled it off while still giving it a fitting Jojo twist, and making it a mainstay no less.

Phylogenetic wild cat tournament!

Every species of the family Felidae will participate in this competition, first facing their closest sister species, then further and further relatives. Will this different set-up result in a different champion than my much honored predecessor's, @little-cat-showdown? I can't wait to see!

Here's our bracket professionally made by me in excel:

Weirdest looking weird bracket of all the time. I'm so proud

Every different color denotes a different genus. They will not have any significant effect on the tournament but I thought it'd be cool to show them.

The bracket is based on the phylogenetic tree on wikipedia, and there are some questionable points, like the placement of the domestic cat, which was declared a descendant of the african wild cat in some recent studies. However i'll stick to this one for the sake of simplicity (and maybe write a little about this topic under the respective polls).

I genuinely do not know if me or my cat is the one playing with the feather toy at this point

She likes the stick more than the feather, and sometimes she'll just kind of??? Hold the stick???

Anyway today i was playing feather toy with her (as all good cat dads do) and she just? Grabbed the stick once we were done, and proceeded to shake it so that the feather moved? She did this until i grabbed it and repeated the action three times before throwing the stick at the ground. (Depicted below)

If she ever does this again i will be taking a video of it but like????

What is this??? Am I the cat? Am I a fool trained to catch a little feather for her? Confused and scared.

Went to a pet store just now and I was in the reptile area and there was a tank full of turtles like painter's turtles and red eared sliders and I'm looking at them and there were some small ones and one medium red eared slider and then suddenly this huge bastard comes swimming up to me from inside the tank. Like this guy was so big you'd have to hold him with both hands and he just stops dead right in front of me and I crouched down to get a better look at him and he just stares straight at me, completely content and swimming in place and I just looked at him making eye contact and said:

"Sup?"

And this fat lil man just hits his beak against the glass as if saying hello back to me. Honestly it was really cute and I had to go and when I looked back he was watching me leave. Lowkey if I had money, wasn't afraid of turtles and my cat and dog weren't menaces to society I probably would have taken him home with me.

Also saw a pretty green bird who was chilling on the display bird holder out of his cage and I said:

"Hello."

And he just looked at me and I was like okay so he's the kind of parrot who doesn't talk and I had walked away and I had just turned the corner to go to the reptile area of the shop and suddenly this loud bird screech comes from the green bird and I hear this:

"HELLO-!"

Like he said hello back to me just a little bit too late lol. Also saw some ferrets who were napping and petted some attention starved kittens through the bars of their cages. All in all was really cool and I'll never forget that fat lil turtle guy who was watching me.
