#williamsleator classic at the free books table at my local library yesterday!

Sleator is one of my favorite writers and one of the first writers that got me into reading as a kid. His novels Singularity, Interstellar Pig, and Others See Us were among the first books to turn me into a lifelong reader. (Alongside books by R. L.

Stine, C. S. Lewis, Madeline L'engle, and the Harry Potter novels).

Even as an adult, I think Sleator's science fiction stories are fun and I think they're a cool way to introduce concepts like telepathy, inter-dimensional space, and human behavioral experiments to young readers.

It's a shame he seems to have mostly been forgotten. He's one of the best YA writers out there.

Definitely a great score for my personal book collection!

"This definitely does seem like Williamsl's style. Pretty much blinding her completely with pepper spray thinking she wouldn't be able to identify him at all. But she was always good at identifying people by smells even the way they walked into the room. Hell even if she was such just able to make out a shadow I bet she could have known who it was." Derek said sitting back down in one of the chairs staring at the door.

"Dave it's my fault man I should have killed him when I had my hands around his throat. I shouldn't have let him go." Derek's fantasy looked at his bandaged hand.

Spencer woke up with a yawn and smiled when he saw Dave. He noticed the other bed but didn't notice anybody was in it.

"Hey Rossi what ya doing here? Why is there another bed in here" Spencer ask very quietly because he didn't want to wake anyone in his bed

Post-AGT Appearance 1043: Chris Spachman Show WCZY fm 94.3 October 31

Even though I would have sung the theme song with Jimmy Fallon the official version of Attack of the flying Oysters would not air anywhere before Halloween.  Radio stations all over the country would work in film themes and the first to add Attack of the flying Oysters to the list would be Chris Spachman on WCZY fm 94.3 a variety station in Michigan.

Starts with Brainy doing an intricate walk to the tower with a mysterious box. Gets there safely, it's a cake with "Welcome Kara" on it. Kara is still under the sunlamps asleep. Alex goes to get her they hug and laugh a bit. They meet with everyone, hugs all around. Zor-El has apparently been up for a while. Kara is taking him to Catco to show him her life.

Elevator scene, Nia tells Kara that Andrea thinks she was undercover sent by Cat and is writing a story. Zor-El will be uncle Archi from Midvale. Kara feels bad that she didn’t tell William where she was and surprised she still has a job.

Andrea wants a story, ASAP. Kara has to tell her she won't have one because the main subject doesn't want to go on record. She runs into William. She feels bad, he understands he was undercover when he arrived at Catco too. She wants to catch up over coffee, he can't has a date with this pediatrician he's been seeing and met at a baking thing. Kara is so very happy for him.

Andrea wants a story about the Phantoms and Kara needs to interview the victims. She's shocked and asks Nia why she didn't know about it and she feels terrible people suffered because of her. Andrea talks about how Catco is doing badly and they need better stories or she'll replace everyone.

Zor-El is in the balcony and Nia starts talking about getting powers suddenly. He sees a satellite crashing to earth and he ends up going superheroing with Kara. They see a large trash island in the ocean that's from Lex Corp and DEO.

Zor-El is worried about the trash and how it's affecting earth like it did Krypton, loosing the oceans was the first step in destruction. He asks fro Kara's pod so he can get some data, she takes him to the Fortress. Kelex is there.

Zor-El retrofits Kelex with Coluan tech and will send it to clean the oceans. That backfires quickly because the DEO trash apparently has alien tech among it.

Meantime Kara pitches the story about the trash, Andrea gives to William to find a Lwx angle and send Kara back to work on Phantom story, major PTSD.

Zor-El is trying to fix the problem, they lost Kelex due to Daxamite cloaking tech, and it's now evil due to some other alien stuff. Major PTSD from not being able to save Krypton.

Alex tells him he needs to work with Brainy and Lena to fix the problem. Tech stuff happens.

The heroes go fight the trash monster, bad cgi, it also has Kryptonite in there, Kara is wearing her armor. Brainy trash ltalks Kelex, cutest rivalry EVER, to get close to disactivate him. Kara gets hurt, Alex major PTSD moment. They defeat it and save Kelex. Kara throws the trash monster to the sun.

Meantime, Andrea is freaking out because the company is doing badly. Uses the medallion to search the Luthor estate for proof that Lex did something wrong. But just as William said, it was all legal and crappy as hell. But Andrea find the superfriends files. Light bulb moment. Comes back and tells Williamsl that their new mission is investigating the supers and why they do what they do and save the city.

Kara and Zor-El say good bye, he needs to go see Alura. He wanted to save earth because he felt guilt for not saving Krypton, he also apologized to Kara for sending her away all alone. But is happy she found family. Tells her she should carry the weight of this or any other world on her shoulders, she may be Kryptonian by sometimes is OK to be human. She is the best thing he ever did. Lena comes in and tells him Brainy is ready to take him to Argo.

At some point Nia and Lena had a convo about the Phantoms visions. Nia is sad she doesn't get to see her mother again the way Kara gets to see her father. Lena wishes she could know more about hers. Still doesn't know what the water horse meant. At the end Lena calls Nia and tells her that she wants to know about her mother and is going to Ireland to find it. Nia has a dream about Nxly.

Kara and Alex have a couch scene, Kara wants to talk about the PZ, process. She's scared that she will always have that fear with her, she doesn't want to be alone. Alex tells her she always with her.
