My afternoon project turned out well. Detachable skirts to turn my fencing doublet into a Polish zupan. The sash hides the gap so it looks seamless. Had to dye the canvas myself and got pretty close to match.

Anyways it was just a very fast and totally armor inaccurate sketch of Skrzetuski from Trylogia but I almost certainly will be drawing more as I read.

New armor got here today! Winged Hussar kit is now 95% complete. I have all the armor, the sabre, and the zupan. Now I just need to build my wings.

So Poland got F-35 Lightning II's... sorry, F-35 Husarz, and they're having a ball promoting it.

I didn't think anything could top Japan's "Shinto priest blessing their first F-35", but here we are.

Notes: The painting depicts 1621 Battle of Chocim /Khotyn. Forces of Rzeczpospolita (Polish, Lithuanian, and Ruthenian [Ukrainian] Cossacs) countered and delayed the invasion of Ottoman Empire. Hussars were the elite cavalry, the pride of Rzeczpospolita, known for their battle prowess and characteristic uniforms with wings (but it's disputable if the wings were really worn in battles)
