i had the sketch lying around for a awhile because i thought the lineart was already perfect and i didn’t know how to translate it digitally without ruining it but i finally did it!!!! i made up the background as i went and changed it about 5 times but i like the final product… reminds me of cracker jacks?? but in a good way. i fucking lvoe cracker jacks.

i think it might look good as a sticker… or poster… idk

SHE IS DONE!

Meet Twilight, my Sky/Night Hybird sona!

I am honestly really happy with how she turned out, especially after having such a difficult time drawing her wings

Her wing color palette was based off sunsets, because sky and night lol, and I am super happy about making that choice, she is very pretty to me🎉

☆~Mutations~☆

Now to discuss some of her features!

She has some mutations upon her for being a hybrid

The two easily noticable ones are that she has two pairs of ears, and a very short tail

The two pairs of ears were simply random chance, but she can hear just fine

Her stubby tail is a somewhat common mutation among hybrids, as not only do many have specific types of tails (ie barbs on SandWings and prehensile on RainWings), but also because different tribes have different lengths of tails, so sometimes hybrids end up with a shorter one

This gives Twilight some balance issues when it comes to flying and running, as the tail is used to help steer a dragon in both activities. So while she's faster than most dragon tribes at flight, she is not as fast as an average SkyWing

Her last mutation is that she is also smaller than most dragons, not reaching the average height of either NightWing or SkyWing, but she doesn't let that get her down

Now that her features are out, here is some bite sized info on her bio and such☆

Gender: Female, goes by she/her

Sexuality: Pan

Job: Librarian and Novelist in the Sky Kingdom

Powers: Strong fire breath, and an empath, for the sun just started to go down when she was hatching, so not as much moonlight was exposed to her when she began to hatch

Personality: Friendly, thoughtful, guilt ridden, optimistic, imaginative, kinda hot tempered, and introverted

I basically smashed all my favorite things together. Took a combination of my favorite colors (silver*, blue, and lilac), my favorite hummingbird (Ruby-throated), sailor moon's earrings, and my two most favorite tribes, and BAM! You have me!

My Wings of Fire sona, Glaze

She's an Icewing Rainwing hybrid that lives as an Icewing. In all ways except stunted horns she appears as a normal Icewing, but is able to lightly change the hues of her scales. She keeps them white and light blue, but strong emotions can make the colors hard to control.

She's inspired by when I first started reading as a young kid and mixed up the RainWings and the IceWings on the Guide to the Dragons of Pyrrhia. The IceWings were always my favorite tribe, but I called them the RainWings until I knew better.

All of the artwork I have cultivated of my sona, Coldfront, over the years. Most of these people aren’t online, anymore, but a few of them are still active. The bottom two are mine. The ones at the top that are still around/active are fortisell,  xthedragonrebornx, diverteddreamstudios, toenailish, kammyclues, and trunswicked. The others are either inactive or deactivated on DA.

Anyways, Coldfront is a Sky/IceWing, she/him pronouns, steam breath rather than fire or ice. I need to update the ref since I drew it such a long time ago, but it still holds up for now.

New Wings of Fire sona wow wow wow

His name is Bulrush & he’s a Mudwing/Nightwing hybrid with xanthochromism, which is why he has a pale yellow complexion. I’ll put some more stuff about him below the image description :3

Bulrush is a very weak seer, his only ability is getting “feelings” of when bad things are about to happen. Basically there’s always a little hum of dread in his mind, which increases when in crowds, during conflict, right before events, etc. He doesn’t get visions but he does have nightmares, mostly of wildly unrealistic possible futures. He’s very pessimistic and antisocial, both because of his abilities and because he’s just like that. His anxiety and powers kind of merge into a weird mess of symptoms that can’t be differentiated from each other (e.g., his nightmares, increased dread when in crowds, etc). He works as an entomologist in the outskirts of the rainforest, identifying, cataloguing, and preserving insects. He lives in a small hut that’s closer to the Mud Kingdom, where he keeps all of his collections. He prefers the company of bugs and animals over dragons and has a pet Burmese python named Prince (based off of my ball python, Princely :3). Prince is his only official pet, but he often feeds the animals near his home and has names for them. He’s never met his father, a Nightwing named Snaketail, who left Bulrush and his mother when he was an egg. He has a good relationship with his mom, a Mudwing named Crayfish, and visits her in the Mud Kingdom frequently. I’m not sure what I’m going to do for him story-wise, but I’ll probably give him a Rainwing friend since he’s in the rainforest so much!
