The Trix in season two are my favorite thing ever to talk about because, really, I've always claimed their story arc in that season isn't so much about working for Darkar as it is about the raging Cold War going on between the three of them. The loss of the Dragon Flame and the defeat in the Battle of Magix really took a toll on the Trix and the strength of their coven bond, and I think it's so interesting how tense the dynamics between them are in S2.

To really highlight this, I want to preface by discussing a little bit about their bond in S1. In S1, nothing ever takes precedence over the coven bond and the pursuit of the Dragon Flame. When Musa is spying on Darcy, Icy and Stormy's primary reason for sending the witches after her is pure loyalty to their coven sister. The three of them are very different people, but despite this, they always work as a group — each a piece of unity, their differences completing one another like pieces of a puzzle. Another crucial highlight of their bond is when Darcy's genuine interest in Riven takes a back seat as she ultimately prioritizes loyalty to her sisters. This choice underscores the unbreakable connection the sisters share, where their allegiance to each other prevails over personal desires. This loyalty serves as a cornerstone of their unshakable coven bond. After their defeat in S1, all three of them are much more willing to turn on one another for individual gain. They no longer work as "one" like before.

Now, let's delve into how tense things are between them in S2. I think it's fair to assume that they all blame each other for the loss and ending up in Light Rock. They're so willing to trust Darkar when he shows up, immediately trusting him more than each other for the whole season (initially because they want to get out of Light Rock, obviously, but they choose to stay with him and trust his judgment out of free will). They bicker so much, and at several points in the season, it feels like the Trix are on the verge of turning on one another completely. They consistently criticize one another and only see the flaws in each other's strengths, constantly pushing each other's buttons. The "puzzle" I mentioned earlier is in total disarray; instead, their opposing natures seem to push them toward self-destruction.

The Trix seem to come to a realization about how weakened their coven is at the end of S2 as they see Darkar for who he really is. I personally think that the reason they were such easy targets for Darkar to manipulate as his pawns was mainly because they were so busy distrusting each other that they never stopped to see that the true enemy was right under their noses. I believe the Megatrix is a pretty fitting (and quite literal) representation of their journey back to unity as a coven.

I didn't expect so many people to like my Winx redesigns, so here's Trix!

This time I'll be sharing more headcanon stuff:

Icy:

≈17 y.o.I don't like her canon character because... she's just evil because she has to be, nothing interesting. So in my headcanons, she's a cross between Musashi/Jessie from Pokemon and the Queen from Deltarune. And, I'm shipping her with Bloom because "enemies to lovers" is my everything. I hardly changed the design. She is perfect 😶.Let's to next one.

Darcy

≈19y.o. (Eldest of the group) When I was a kid I thought Darcy and Stella were sisters(idk why). AND THIS IS JUST A GORGEOUS HEADCANNON NOW! Like: Darcy abdicated the throne to study dark magic and live a quiet life somewhere far from Solaria, and her younger sister to handle with everything (+ another one trauma for Stella) (And of course dark/light motive)As manipulative as always. This is probably the only exception from all Trix when I like the personality from the series.

Stormy

≈17y.o. (older than Icy by 3 months) In the series, she is just... nothing. She was almost never given any normal time apart from the other Trix. So I radically changed it both externally and internally. I gave her the personality of Floyd from the game Twisted wonderland. And one more thing - hair. Stormy's hair now changes according to her mood (White and fluffy - good mood, Gray or dark purple - anger) (like clouds)

And one more note! Icy had a pet duck. I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IT, BUT. GUYS. THIS. This is what I need. Just a proud duck mom Icy.

Winxtober Day Twenty-Three: Personal

Drawing higher level witch forms feels so weird. They are not only in one color, stop the presses! Ya know???

Anyway, I would like to say that Stormy and Darcy have a closer more personal bond with each other than Icy. They listen to Icy half because they care about her half, because she scared them. Kinda like the Azula Mai Ty-Lee dynamic. They'll listen to Icy right up until something puts the other in danger and then they'll pick each other every time. Neither of them dislike Icy, but Icy does work through manipulation and fear more than anything and neither of them are safe from it

Icy

Special properties:

Makes her weather resistant. Helps especially in cold weather which is her area of expertise. The white shields her from unfriendly eyes in the snow

Darcy

Special Properties:

Her suite can make her invisible or play visual tricks on her enemies if she wants to. Most effective in dark places or crowded ones.

Stormy

Special Properties:

You need someone to go in harsh and chaotic places? She is your girl. Specialist in mountain areas her suite has the ability to not only deflect lightning but can also convert it into energy if needed.

A commission I've been working on for the past few weeks for @littlechaoticwitch, who wanted to see my redesigns for The Trix's witch forms drawn out~! ⛈️🧊🔮 Just like with the Winx Club commission I did last month, this was a really fun challenge putting this all together and capturing all the details! :3 Not only was it fun making the original boards back in September, but it was also really nice getting the chance to draw The Trix too~

Winx Club Headcanons – Personality Traits and Magical Abilities

Levina Aeilaeifr (‘Stormy’), Witch of the Unending Storm

Stormy was born on one of the outskirt planets of Zenith to a young mother who worked in the professional courtier industry.  Stormy never knew who her father was, and her mother was at best neglectful.  When she was 10, she left Zenith and did not look back. Stormy left on the first transport off Zenith and ended up on a planet in located near the Omega Portal, ironically named the Ice System due to its sub-zero temperatures.

It was here that she met Icy and Darcy – both of whom where on the run.  The three of them formed an extremely close bond and it was then that they enacted the Right of the Coven.  Over time, due to her disconnect with her mother, and her expending hatred of how her mother treated her, she began to disconnect with her emotions.  This disconnect made her extremely unstable, and her magic become unstable and threw her out of balance.  It was only after a mind spell completed by Icy and Darcy that Stormy’s magic stabilised.  However, her mind did not.  Stormy become increasingly apathetic and sociopathic, often finding enjoyment in other’s pain and confusion.  As she grew older, she also became very quick to anger and rage, often becoming violent and grew into holding lifelong grudges.

The three of them decided to hand in their applications to Cloud Tower last minute, however, it wasn’t until they started on scholarships, that they understood how vital expanding their magic was.  All three of them thrived at Cloud Tower, and they quickly rose amongst the ranks, quickly establishing dominance amongst, even the seniors. Out of the Coven, Stormy is the most power hungry, and when they learnt about the power of the Dragon Flame, it became her singular focus.

Stormy’s magic, unlike other witches, has only focused on her ability to create storms and manipulate weather cells.  Her abilities have earned her the moniker of the ‘Witch of Storms’ or ‘Queen of Storms’. Her magic is deeply imbedded in dark magic and her sole focus is on storm manipulation, electrrokinesis, aerokinesis and weather manipulation.
